Episode description

Regrets, we’ve had a few… and it probably does us the power of good to mention them. So says very wise and utterly lovely Amanda Prowse, the international best-selling novelist whose latest book, Waiting To Begin, inspired The Art of Regret – a campaign designed to get women to share their secret regrets and potentially see them turned into city-centre artworks. In this week’s podzine, she tells our Mick all about it.

Also, GHOSTS IS BACK. And we are very excited. Lucky Hannah got on the blower (Zoom) to Martha Howe-Douglas, one of the writers and stars of the glorious BBC comedy to find out about writing and filming during the pandemic, playing unlikeable characters, and what’s in a name when that name is Fanny Button.

In Jenny Off The Blocks, Jen is understandably sad about the end of the Olympics and couldn’t be less bovved about European football dramz. There’s big 60s soul (yay!) and big misogyny (boo!) as the team watch 1991’s The Commitments in Rated or Dated. Plus, rubbish numbers, greenhouse gasses, and tiny but inspiring feet in the Bush Telegraph.
