Episode description

In this Chops, Mick and Jen catch up with Caro Howell, director of the Foundling Museum, to talk about Bedrooms of London, the museum’s forthcoming exhibition in partnership with The Childhood Trust and highlighting the lives of children surviving below the breadline in our capital. Photographer Katie Wilson has taken shots of the sleeping spaces of children living in poverty in London, and these are accompanied by first-hand narratives collected and written by Isabella Walker.

Caro speaks eloquently about child poverty, challenges the prejudices and stereotypes associated with it, and explains what we can all do – and must do – to help these kids and their families.

If you’re in London and able to get to the Foundling Museum, Bedrooms of London runs from February 8 to May 5. foundlingmuseum.org.uk
