During the weekend of January 18-21 2013, as our country recognized the life and work of Martin Luther King Jr., First Lutheran and the La Crosse Area Synod invited everyone to Stand for Peace and to stand for those living under oppression around the world.
This four day event explored the themes of awareness, accompaniment and advocacy, discussing ways to be people who bring about peace.
