Episode description

Greetings! In the season four finale of Stamper Cinema we return to the world of John Carpenter, with the 1986 cult-classic BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA. Long time listeners will remember we previously covered three other Carpenter titles back in season one: HALLOWEEN / CHRISTINE / THE THING (visit StamperCinema.com for access to those episodes)

Big Trouble in Little China is an action-adventure-comedy about truck driver Jack Burton (played brilliantly by Kurt Russell) and his friend Wang Chi (Dun) as they attempt to rescue Wang's green-eyed fiancée from San Francisco Chinatown gangsters, sorcerers and underworld monsters.

Joining us to break it all down is Chicago-based writer/comedian/producer Haji Outlaw. According to his biography, Outlaw has "written for television (The Eric Andre Show, CBS, Comedy Central, NBC, etc.), film, commercials and a numerous books (Hey Doorman, These Movies Suck, Mangelscarre, etc.). He has also produced music for Kool Keith, Chris Crack and himself. Not to mention being a comedian for over fifteen years."

Enjoy the show and we'll see you again in Season Five, beginning February 2024!
