Episode description

Today on the podcast… Fr. Peter Armenio, priest of Opus Dei, invites us in this Lenten reflection to seek a spirit of penance, of self-denial, and repentance in order to experience a true conversion and to enter into the heart of Jesus Christ. Contemplating St. Peter’s denial of Jesus Christ, Fr. Armenio explains: “How did St. Peter become effective? How did he convert? How did he become a witness, an evangelizer? It started when Jesus looked at him and he looked at Jesus. Peter contemplated how much Jesus loved him and how he loves him unconditionally.” Jesus asked St. Peter: Do you love me? (see Jn 21:15-17) Our ongoing conversion also begins with Jesus conversing with us and looking at us, and our contemplating his love and goodness in return.
