Episode description

In this episode of SpudChat, we talk to Evan MacDonald, Senior Precision Agronomist with Croptimistic Technology Inc covering Eastern Canada.  Evan has previously worked with both the PEI Department of Agriculture and Cavendish Agri-Services and has a passion for precision agriculture and field mapping.  He is also a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Prince Edward Island, studying how soil electroconductivity and elevation can be integrated into to create management zones for variable rate seed spacing in potatoes.

We talked a bit about the merits of this type of mapping technology and how it can apply to potato farmers.
