Navigating Moments of Financial Uncertainty - Afriyie Oware

During his Springboard 2020 Road Show presentation in Kumasi in February, Mr. Afriyie Oware, CEO of Axis Pension Trust, revealed that 78% of Ghanaians retire on less than GH¢1,000 (approximately $173.01) a month. His position was that as a population, we were not doing enough to secure our financial future. The outbreak of COVID-19 seems to have vindicated that position with the financial fortunes of many people in the active economic bracket totally threatened. It has been estimated that this health pandemic will not only change the economic landscape. It will also change the way we live and work, and by extension, our income levels.
