Episode description

Contributor(s): Martin Lewis | To mark the completion of the Saw Swee Hock Student Centre, the first brand new building on campus for more than 40 years, the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and the LSE Students’ Union have organised a series of ‘in conversation’ events with some of the School's distinguished alumni. These events will take place in the Saw Swee Hock Student Centre and will be open to LSE students, alumni and staff. This event will see Martin Lewis in conversation with Professor Nick Barr. Martin Lewis, Money Saving Expert, is an award-winning campaigning TV and radio presenter, newspaper columnist, author and, according to Google, the most searched-for British man. He has his own evening ITV programme - The Martin Lewis Money Show - and is resident expert on This Morning, Daybreak and BBC Radio 5 Live's Consumer Panel, amongst others. He first moved to London to study Government and Law at the LSE, where he then spent a year as general secretary of the Students' Union. After the conversation there will be the opportunity for the audience to put their questions to the speaker in the Q&A session. A free drinks reception will follow the event giving the audience a chance to meet the speaker.
