Episode description

Shannon Wong is a first-generation American born in Hawaii to Chinese immigrant parents and the eldest of four sisters. Raised in Kailua-Kona, she discovered a love for performance early on, later exploring modeling and photography before gaining a following on social media and becoming an official SuicideGirl in 2019.

After relocating to Portland, she earned a Communications degree from Portland State University in 2016 while working in gentlemen’s clubs—where she found a passion for burlesque, pole dancing, and advocacy for marginalized communities. Now based in Los Angeles, Shannon collaborates with Elena Krail on educational events around open relationships, tantra, and intimacy, and continues to champion ethical non-monogamy within the kink community.

She recently made her Off-Broadway debut as the lead in Soulmate, a play by Douglas Clarke that celebrates alternative lifestyles. Other highlights include a 2024 feature in Boudoir Magazine. Shannon aspires to grow her presence in film, TV, and live performance, with a focus on female-led creative spaces.
