These are the chapters where Alex has to fight back against a fucking vampire which seems super unfair tbh, and manages to get away but I think she's piqued his curiosity and hasn't seen the last of him. Meanwhile there's still this whole Gauntlet to prepare for, and Alex has finally decided that it's time to take care of Eitan and get her mother out of harm's way.
