Dadless, but not fatherless

It took me 26 years to finally say out loud that I didn't know who my dad was. The reason is because I was simply ashamed to admit that I didn't have something that the people around me had. Although it was this big secret, the insecurities and issues that came as a result of that fact weren't a secret.
