Turn to 1 Peter 5 this morning. Realizing the hand of God is mighty and humbling ourselves under Him is the wisest thing we can do. We humble ourselves before God, and He will exalt us in His timing. He wants to exalt and use you for healing in a broken world.
Turn to 1 Peter 5 this morning. Clothe yourself in humility. Take responsibility for yourself. While everything is out of control, it is important to take responsibility for ourself.
Open your bibles to 2 Corinthians 5:14-21 this morning as we strive to be controlled by the love of Christ. As Christians we are in a 2 way relationship with Jesus. Just as His love for us should control us, our love for Him should control us as well.
Open your bibles to Acts 2 this morning as we explore what we can do to respond to what is happening in our world today. It is important to look at the individual in front of you.
Open your bibles to Luke chapter 23 today as we continue to look at how we can react to what is happening in our country. We have to listen to the human heart crying during these hard times, as we strive to react in compassion.
Be a neighbor to the people who are hurting around you. It doesn’t matter if they live next to you or if they are a friend, we need to be a neighbor to the hurting one.
The Good Samaritan is such a good example of compassion. Having compassion on someone can be as simple as doing what you can do. We cannot fix everything, but we need to be looking for anything we can fix.
We are back in the story of the Good Samaritan today. You have the calling and the gift to see and hear God today. We are called to be a reflection of him today, just be Jesus to a world who needs him more than ever right now.
What God wants is for us to come for him to be transformed. It takes transformed people to transform cities. Earlier this week we looked at the parable of the Good Samaritan, and we need to realize that in that story, we are the hurting one.
Open up to Luke 10 today as we continue to have conversations about how we navigate the pain and injustices of the world we are living in. Many of the questions being raised are challenging, but only God has the power to bring the healing our world needs.
Now is a great time to reflect on the normal you never thought you could have. Now is the time to make changes to be that new person that you’ve always dreamed of. You have the ability to have discipline, faith, and trust that you never thought you could have, but it takes dedication, action, and consistency to make it happen.
Sometimes normal isn’t always a bad thing. Today focus on your normal that you want to keep as our lives continue to change. Be intentional about maintaining this normal through this season of change.
Open to Nehemiah chapter 13 today as we look at what we want to never get back. What are things, distractions, and idols we have replaced God with? How can you make sure you never get back to those normals?
Open to Nehemiah chapter 13 today as we explore the decisions we have to make as we discover our new normal. Remember that our God is the God that turns curses into blessings.
Take a minute to slow down and reflect on turning your life back to Christ even in the little things. From our thoughts and actions, we will get the most joy out of life by surrendering our whole life to Him. Make an effort to connect with God today.
Open to Psalms 119 as we focus on prayer. Pray that we can find guidance, strength, and delight in God today.
Spend a little time this morning thinking about the joy of the Lord. The Lord delights in His people. Ask God to give us the strength to do what God has asked us to do.
Turn to Nehemiah chapter 7 and try to get through all the names because God can speak to us through anything! We cannot always control the situations around us, but the one thing we can control is our faithfulness. Focus on what we can do, be faithful in your decisions, thoughts and actions.
Open up those bibles to Nehemiah chapter 6 as we continue to explore what we can learn from the book of Nehemiah about living during challenging times. God wants to use to build His kingdom, and it is up to us to accept the call. We cannot afford to let distractions get between us and the work of God.
Dive back into Nehemiah today as we explore how to live in a world in chaos. God has made us for a moment like this. We are called to step into a broken world and broken situations and fight for God. This is the chance for Christians to stand up and do what we can do while the door is open, and show a healthy fear from God.
Take some time to slow down and remember what God has spoken into your life over the last week. We’ve had a great week going through the first couple chapters of Nehemiah, and we trust that God is meeting you right where you are. Its time to step into what God says.
Open to Nehemiah 4 today as we discuss what it means to stand firm in obeying God. There will always be things to distract you from God’s call, its your job to make sure your thoughts and beliefs are not pulling you away from God’s will. Do not be timid in talking back to the lies of the world. Have confidence in our identity in God.
