Episode description

This is a wonderful conversation we had with Xihong Lin back in the end of November for the SPEED CHANGE REPEAT Podcast.

Xihong is a biostatistics professor at Harvard who since the outbreak of Covid-19 has done some amazing research with her team, which resulted in critical insights when it comes to the spreading of the virus as well as intervention procedures. Together with her team she partnered up in the early days of the virus to study its effects and the measures that were taken in China.

Among many things Xihong was invited by the UK parliament to present her findings and suggestions for potential government measures.

Together we are talking about the field of Biostatistics and the potential of applying Data Science for health related data and the current opportunities and advancements in the field of genomics. Furthermore we are discussing her research on the pandemic and have a philosophic talk about a potential future.
