Episode description

For episode 73, we welcomed author Dacre Stoker to the show! Dacre is the great-grandnephew of Irish author, Bram Stoker, who wrote the 1897 classic, Dracula. In 2018, Dacre co-authored (with J.D. Baker) Dracul, a prequel to Dracula. This episode is a part of our Halloween 2021 month long celebration!

In our discussion, we covered how sports and physcial activity influence and help with his writing, the importance of preserving the Bram Stoker legacy, the cultural and historical impact of characters and people like Vlad the Implaler, Dracula, and Van Helsing, how co-authoring a book works, visiting and traveling the world to learn this history of Bram's writings, and so much more!
