Episode description

In this week’s episode, SPA’s Anneke Flinn speaks to Dr Lydia Timms, speech pathologist, researcher and lecturer at Curtin University. Lydia chats about the “Language Together” online training package developed by speech pathologists to develop the skills of foster carers to support the oral language needs of children in their care. Please follow this link to the JCPSLP edition featuring the “Language Together” program (member log in required): https://speechpathologyaustralia.cld.bz/JCPSLP-Vol-23-Issue-2-2021/38/ Speech Pathology Australia acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of lands, seas and waters throughout Australia, and pay respect to Elders past, present and future. We recognise that the health and social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are grounded in continued connection to culture, country, language and community, and acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded.
