When I was a kid, I was very adventurous. Cuando era niño, era muy aventurero. My friends and I used to skip school and go to the video arcade. Mis amigos y yo solíamos faltar a la escuela e ir a la sala de videojuegos. The sense of freedom I had when I got my drivers license was unmatched. La sensación de libertad que tuve cuando obtuve mi licencia de conducir fue incomparable. Riding the bus to school was the worst. Viajar en autobús a la escuela fue lo peor.

When I was in school, the teachers would hit us with rulers. Cuando estaba en la escuela, los profesores nos golpeaban con reglas. My parents were emphatic in their religious beliefs. Mis padres eran enfáticos en sus creencias religiosas. My family used to have an annual reunion. Mi familia solía tener una reunión anual. We used to go fishing at the river most Sundays. Solíamos ir a pescar al río la mayoría de los domingos. For my birthday, all my extended family members would come over.
