The basic sounds of Spanish are the vawels:

Base sounds: a - o - u

High sounds: e - i

Word stress:

Amor rule: Stress last syllable of the word, if it end in a consonant different from n or s.

Amigo rule: Street second last syllable if the word ends in a vowel or the consonants no r s.
