About the guest speaker

Victoria Silva is a freelance journalist and researcher focused on international politics in the Middle East and Africa. She has extensively written about political affairs, economy, social issues and culture in the region for Spanish and international media outlets. She has also worked as journalist in several newsrooms and in communication departments for organizations of the social sector. She holds a MA in International Relations and African Studies and an MA in Peace, security and Defence. Currently she is a PhD candidate in International Relations at the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM)
