Feb 20, 2020•53 min
Episode description
"The Serve Us Industry” consists of nonprofit organizations that are run by black executive directors and primarily serve people that are classified as black and brown in the United States and abroad. On this episode I speak with Bahia Overton. Bahia wears many hats in her life, but the hat we discuss today is that of being the Executive Director of The Black Parent Initiative, a nonprofit based in Portland, OR. BPI seeks to provide black parents with superior resources while the mother is pregnant and support the family within the first 1000 days of the Childs life. Listen to Bahia tells us about her journey to this point in her career and the many reasons she pours herself into this type of work. Listen and Enjoy!
