Episode description

Host: Dr. Susan Buttross, Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and Abram Nanney

Topic: October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so everyone who's listening to this show probably knows someone in their social circle or family who's been diagnosed with breast cancer. But did you know what to do, how to help, or what to say? Many of us are often so unsure of what to do or say that we do and say nothing. But we know research has shown that women with strong social supports have better survival rates. Today on the show we welcome two amazing women who are breast cancer survivors. They'll help us better understand what we can do and say to be the support that we all need when facing such a difficult diagnosis.

Guet(s): Cindy Mansour, and Debbie Livingston
