Episode description

September is hunger action month and Mississippi has one of the highest rates of food insecurity in the nation. What does that mean and what are the consequences? How can we have one of the highest rates of obesity and one of the highest rates of food insecurity? Today we’ll talk about how and why that happens plus speak with our guests, creators of Sow Reap Feed, Keith and Lauren Elliott and Leigh Ann Blalock the Community Outreach Coordinator, a group who aims to combat both.
