Episode description

September is Hunger Awareness Month, a month to spread the word and take action on the hunger crisis and dedicate ourselves to a solution. Despite being born in one of the world’s wealthiest countries, there are many children and adults in the United States who are food insecure or hungry. Today we'll discuss the psychological effects of hunger on children, food insecurity and how you can make a difference in your community with our guest Dr. Ruth Patterson, Pediatrician with the University Of Mississippi Medical Center.
