Episode description

Host: Dr. Susan Buttross, Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and Abram Nanney

Topic: The U.S. may seem like a dangerous place for our families between disasters and crime that we continually hear about, but the truth is, that is not so. Crime has been on the decline since the 60’s with a few bump ups. Survival during disasters is even more likely with safety measures and building standards that we now have. Today I want us to talk about empowering ourselves and our children in how to deal with an emergency situation.
