Episode description

Welcome artist Margo Volterra to In-Focus Podcast Number 68. She attended The Art Student's League when she was very young. "The only kid surrounded by adults. Very intimidating," she says.

Margo's parents always encouraged her creativity and growing up in New York City certainly offered plenty of opportunities. She majored in painting at Boston Universitywhere she received her BFA. While there she worked with some very special professors who fostered the belief in pushing the envelope.

At the university, figure drawing was basic and on-going and, abstract painting was at its zenith. Margo lived in Fairhaven, Massachusetts for over 40 years and was a part of the Southcoast, Massachusetts art scene; exhibiting and teaching locally. She now lives and has her studio in Newton, Massachusetts.
