Ep. 153: Kayla Conner

Welcome, Kayla Conner, AKA Kayla Conchinha Conner (the Little Seer Shell). She is a watercolor artist, tarot reader, and lifelong resident of New Bedford, Massachusetts. "Conchinha" is Portuguese for "little shell."

In 2012, Kayla obtained her Bachelor’s in Philosophy from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, had her first child, and received her first deck of tarot cards.  Little Seer Shell was started in September 2020. After a hip replacement at 30 years of age fixed a longstanding disability, she began writing, painting, and tarot reading for others as a way to spread her joy for life.

Kayla is inspired by the natural world, mythology, cosmology, and conchology. In this episode, Kayla talks with The Artist Index’s Co-Founder/Host – Ron Fortier – who delves more into her life, work, and passion.
