Episode description

Welcome, Dr. Rebecca Uchill, an art historian and curator at the College of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Her work focuses on the institutional conditions for art production, display, and dissemination to In-Focus Podcast Number 103.

In this special episode, we discuss Dr. Uchill’s curated exhibition, Nancy Holt: Massachusetts. It is on view (at this writing), in two of the campus galleries from November 11, 2021 to January 23, 2022.

The exhibition was accompanied by a symposium event and other programming supported by the Henry Luce Foundation’s American Art Program. Rebecca shares the legacy of sculptor Nancy Holt, a pioneer of site-specific installation and the moving image.
