South Ridge Church FXBG

Jeff Geyer
Listen here to the most recent and relevent messages from South Ridge Church. -- In 2016, Jeff and Jenny Geyer dreamed of starting a different kind of church for their community. A church where people can belong before believing. A church where people cannot wait to bring their friends. A church where next steps are clear and simple. A church where people willingly invest their money to make that type of church happen. What began with two adults grew to sixteen adults in a Chick-fil-A. Together and committed, God began to shape and grow their dream into South Ridge, a church in southern Stafford County with the mission to lead people in a growing relationship with Jesus. We want each community beyond the greater Fredericksburg area to experience what we are experiencing: a family of individuals that have found hope in Jesus, and simply want as many people as possible to experience that exact same hope.

The Path You Choose

Psalm 1 paints a picture of two paths—the way of the righteous and the way of the wicked. What we meditate on shapes who we become. The direction of your life is determined by what you delight in. Are you rooted in what brings true life, or are you drifting toward destruction?

Science vs. Faith: Are They Really Opposed?

Many assume that science and faith are at war, but what if they’re actually meant to complement each other? The Bible speaks to why we’re here, while science explores how things work. When we pit them against each other, we miss the bigger picture of God’s design. So, is your faith big enough to handle scientific discovery?

If God Is So Good, Why Is The World So Bad?

If God is good, why do we see so much suffering? It’s a question as old as time, but instead of proving God doesn’t exist, it actually points to our deep longing for justice, redemption, and hope. The Bible doesn’t avoid this question—it answers it. So, how do we respond when life feels unfair?

Is Christianity Worth It?

Let’s be honest—Christianity isn’t always easy. It calls us to live differently, love unreasonably, and trust even when we don’t have all the answers. So why do it? Because following Jesus leads to purpose, hope, and a life that matters. So, what’s holding you back from going all in?

Blessing

Forgetting

Some wounds feel like they’ll always define us. The words spoken over you as a child, the moments that stole your innocence—they still whisper in your mind. But God invites you to a different story. Generational Curse

What we don’t address, we pass down. Generational sin isn’t about punishment—it’s about patterns. You just said that annoying thing your mom used to say. Having Hope

David moves from feeling abandoned to feeling confident that God will turn things around. Jesus, too, felt abandoned at the cross, crying out in pain, yet His final words were not of defeat but of victory: “It is finished.” In that moment, what seemed like abandonment was actually the fulfillment of God’s greatest promise. When we wrestle with doubt, will we stay stuck in it, or will we let it lead us into declaring who God truly is?

Remembering To Move Forward

When doubt clouds our vision, remembering God’s faithfulness in the past helps us trust Him for the future. When David felt abandoned, he reminded himself of God’s past faithfulness, but when Jesus endured the cross, He didn’t just look back—He looked forward, knowing resurrection was coming. When we face doubt, we can look back at God’s faithfulness and forward to His promises. Are you stuck in your doubt, or is it moving you toward greater faith?

Finding Faith

Doubt forces us to be honest about our struggles rather than suppressing them. Psalm 22 begins with raw emotion—David doesn’t hide his feelings from God. Jesus quoting this psalm on the cross shows that bringing our doubts to God is not a lack of faith; it’s an act of faith. How do we navigate doubt when we feel abandoned?
