Episode description

"If you want to be a decent person, the person you claim to be in moral and political terms you have an obligation to stop using women in the sexual exploitation industries and if you do so, your life will get better." How does pornography shape masculinity? How does it impact male behaviour and attitudes towards women and what can men do about it? Robert Jensen is an emeritus professor in the School of Journalism at the University of Texas and a founding member of the Third Coast Activist Resource Centre. A writer and an activist, his books on pornography and feminism include "Getting Off: Pornography and the End of Masculinity" and "The End of Patriarchy: Radical Feminism for Men". Robert told us about his journey into anti-pornography activism, the traps of masculinity and highlighting a way forward on how we think about sex.
