Welcome to Sounders FC Sucker Tonight from the Emerald Queen Casino Bitch at Lumenfield, your Seattle Sounders FC faced the LA Galaxy. Tonight's match is presented by Emerald Queen Casino, the entertainment capital of the Northwest. Go Sounders. Sounders FC Soccer is brought to you by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of Seattle Sounders

FC. Now time for Sounders FC soccer. Good evening, everyone, and welcome to Luminfield for this Western Conference showdown between your third place Sounders and the LA Galaxy. The Galaxy have been the entertainers of MLS over the last month. In the last five matches, the Galaxy have scored fourteen goals and conceded fifteen. This may be a neutral's delight, but this recent form has given all LA Galaxy fans fits as they try and clamber out of a hole and

scrape into the playoffs. Currently sitting in thirteenth position and six points out of the last playoff spot, tonight is a must win for this storied club. For your Sounders, unbeaten in six games, they are finding form at the right time, earning their twelfth clean sheet of the season in a well earned point on the road in Nashville. They come back to lumen Field for two

back to back home games in the space of four days. A win tonight guarantees their playoff position and all but knocks LA Galaxy out, providing Brian Schmittze and his players a great opportunity to get one over their longtime Western Conference rival. My name is Danny Jackson alongside former Seattle University head coach Pete Forewing tonight. Before we get to Pete for his initial thoughts, let's get you the

delta. Starting eleven for your sounders, Stefan Fryan gol back four of Roldan Yamar Reagan and then Nu who back on the left hand side after serving a

one match suspension for yellow card accumulation. Albert Vargas slides into the state the park alongside JP Christian rolled on on the right hand side, Albert Ruznek after missing the last game through illness in the middle, Leo Chu on the left, and then the returning Jordan Morris the new Dad upfront as your number nine for LA Galaxy be a four two three one bonding doll a back four of Lea dam back former sounder back into this stadium. Yoshida Alfaro another former Sounder

playing in the middle, and then Ode on the left hand side. Soirio, Rozelle Boyd, Douglas Costa for Gundes and six gold Man in the last eight games. Billy Sharp up front as the Sounders head it through New Who. And if you hear those booze, Pete, it's not a boo it's a new Who. So your first thoughts, Pete, coming to this game. Sounders. One win gets them into the playoffs. They've had a good, solid run since the beginning of September. What do they have to do

tonight to get one over the lle Galaxy. Well, you said it. They are on a bit of a role right now. Defensively, they were so good at Nashville. They've got to get Jordan Morris the ball in front of that goal. They've got to, you know, get Chew isolated one on one against lear Dom, get Christian Roldan on the right hand side. They've just got to play as well as they did against Nashville. I thought they had seven or eight really good chances. They've got to put one of

them away. And you don't want to give this team hope. That's the worst thing that they can do. They've got to adjusted line up with Alfaro and Lear Damon, don't give them something to do. Bowl over the top, Billy shop freshman in from Sheffield Unite. It crossed the ball in chest from New who back to the goal keeping nice and cool. But the sound is left back as Fry rolls it out to JP holding his position middle of

the field. New partner tonight. No, but Bogas played alongside Josh Atencio in Nashville at the weekend as a sound to stot to build through the back and Jackson Reagan continues to be solid as a rock. So now that last play in the first half against Nashville took bull, took player, took everything else. Wonderful tackle to prevent well looked like a certain goal for Nashville. Say it comes Boyd to Costant playing as a number ten tonight, it's a

Billy sharp middle of the field. Just twists and turn away from pressure, flicks it to the outside on the right hand side. Boy close down by Knew pushes him out to the outside towards the end line. New rolls it out of bounds goalkick Sounders and with that for the first time, we're gonna throw it down to Michelle. Good evening, Michelle Hi, Danny. Yes. A big exciting game tonight for the Sounders with an opportunity to clinch a

spot in the playoffs. And something interesting going into tonight's match that was different from the team getting ready for Nashville is that ahead of Nashville, head coach Branch Spencer says they didn't talk about clinching the playoffs at all. That was

not the focus. Postseason was not discussed. But today, going into this message or into this match, it was a combined message of with a win, we will do it our way and they want to get the team into the playoffs based on their own results, not backing in and really close out the last two home games of this season on a positive note of note tonight they can win to get into the playoffs with a win, or if Minnesota loses or draws against LAFC or FC Dallas loses or draws Rapids, thanks Michelle.

As Bran Schmetzer always likes to say, control the controllables, let's get that three points. It's been a while since the Sounders of one at home, two draws, two losses in their last four. It's not all the way back to July since their last win here being solid away from home. Five of the last six games on this run happen away from home. Of course, the solitary game in between was Portland being up to nil, giving up that two goal lead after early second half redcard from LEO two and Portland

were able to take advantage on that particular night. As La Galaxy, as we mentioned, desperate for a win tonight. They've been scoring goals, conceding goals. We listened to Greg Vanny throughout the week. It's got a head scratch for them. They look good going forward, but continue to be a SIV at the back as they Oh, they picks the pocket of Christian rolled on, it's gonna be a foul on the young left back center of the field free kick. Eli Galaxy remains Neil neilpik Knew, who's gone off to

a good start for different touches on the ball already. The hatter a good tackle and he just got stuck in music. He's got a lot of energy and I think maybe there's a message that was sent after read Baker Whiting at such a terrific outing at Nashville. He's rested right and excited to be playing, but he's been very energized from that left back spot. I think you're right, Pete Reed Baker Whites and came in on the left hand side because

new was suspended through yellow cat accumulation. Had a stella game. And if you listen to Brian's comments, like he said, very very very very good. Yes, And that's about as good of a compliment you can get from a usually stoic Brian Schmitzer after a game, proud of his young left back. Came in just solid, one b one solid in possession as a sound is knock it down alike Christian roldines it just to get in front, but Alfara cleans up the danger. The new signing from New York City FC.

Of course, former sounder back in the house alongside his fellow right back Kelvin Lear Dam if we all remember Kelvin and his crucial goal in that twenty ninetiem MLS Cup to get us going to that victory as all like galaxy and build out the back, launching forward, No messing around by Alfaro, headed down by Jackson, Reagan, Billy Sharp picks it up to Forgunness, one goal away from seventy goals on his MLS career, for the only tenth person in

MLS history to get seventy goals and seventy assists, and he currently sits right there at seventy assists at sixty nine goals. We saw him going in as a very young, spinderly little guy, right and he's turned into a very very good role good journeyman. Came in from Austin Galaxy, making a lot

of moves in the summer, a number of players out injured. Of course tonight if you remember the two games the Sound has played earlier in the season, one in the US Open Cup, a three to one loss and then a two to one win down in La in April, the number of changes having forced the hand of Vanni through injury as the Sound iss habit fastid the right little flicker around the corner by Obert Vargas, it's gonna go out of bounds. It's gonna be an La Galaxy. Throw it, Dan. I

like that. They're trying to get Christian Wuldn sprung either in behind or slipped in through little gaps between the center back and the outside back trying to get him gone. I'd also love to see him switch the point of attack when it's all on that side. We talked about with Brian Schmitze today in our production meetp about a tentio and his range, both height, running, his

athletic ability. I think both players, both obed and detention, need to take that next level of really controlling the middle of the parking control of the ball as well. And you're right, and the flick the switch the ball as oben Vargas has it driving forward, good little break switched between the two midfield shot to the left of Bond. He's able to collect it eventually quite comfortably. But good searching run by the young central midfield fielder ober Vargas.

Comfortable save remains still there. I love it. I love it. You know what Brian said, he does touch the ball too many times, but he just went about thirty five yards with the ball right down the middle. Didn't get enough on the shot. Bond didn't have much to do on it. But I like that he's trying those things. That shows his confidence. Good for him. He'll figure out when he's going to release the ball. But Honestly, he didn't have an option. He just had to go and

take a shot. And good for alvid Vargas, the young kid. Good pressure by the Sounders, give away by the La Galaxy back forward. Sounders got it back in having any possession the middle of the field. Quick little turn by Rouzneck plays it's the left hand side to Leo Chu plays it square to Oben Vargas twenty five yards out, flicks to the far side the right. Alex rolled on the right channel, often yards from the end line. It's getting a little bit of pressure from Oda, buts brings it to his

left foot, strikes it low. Messi on the saved by Jonathan. Bond eventually gets scrambled over the end line for a first Sounder's corner kick, but again Pete good. Sustained pressure by the Sounders. It feels like they're up for the test tonight and certainly not holding back on these shots and distance, and they're not predictable, and they're moving the ball side to side. Good movement off the ball that was Yoshieta got a little touch to it before he

got the Bond and he kind of bobbled it. So let's hope we can get something out of this corner kick right now outswing a corner kick far side the Sounder's right. It's gonna be JP hand up in the air, four steps back. Sounders piled up right on the penalty spot. Four five guys inside the eighteen yard blocks with Leo Chu standing right in the middle or top of the six yard books. The Sounders try to find their spot. Referee comes in trying to create some order, a little pushing and shoving, as

it normally is on these set pieces. JP just takes a couple of steps back, resets himself. Movement in the box. Bore comes in out swinging or get eventually pushed down by Pond flumped That work's good stride by new Ricochet's off. JP's got a chance inside the box. Ryan side low along the six yard box. Then she cleared by Lea demp coss to chase it down. Little back heel keeps it in bounds. Good tackle by JP towards the

end line, whips it Jona Morris. Wonderful goal by the Sounders, and he's off the head of Jordan Morris from more wonderfully whipped in cross by JP. Then you Dad goal there's eleventh goal in the season, and what a time to score for the Sounders as the Sounders get going. Here at lumin

Field, Sounders won Galaxy nil. Where'sn't that fun? His story here growing up Mercer Island, coming in, going to Stanford, hits some national championships there, coming here and then just having a terrific career player, you know, come back player of the Year and an All Star and his first game after having his newborn son, and that was a great effort from JP. He went hard on the tackle, won the ball, and then a terrific cross and Jordan Morris, no doubt Bond had no chance on that one.

And you know what, Danny, we just got to get service to him inside that six that's where he was, and pounded it home. Well, what a wonderful gift for the newborn and for the granddad sitting on the bench and dot to Morris and with that we're gonna throw it down to Michelle. That moment could not have been written up any better. For those of you who were not watching along with our radio broadcast on the TVs as well.

As soon as Jordan Morris scored as eleventh fool of the season. He ran right up to the camera and made the letter T with his fingers, which of course is for his new child. Bo drop the box. It's gonna be ROAs that inside the box strikes it walk by the galaxy sound has got a bit between the teeth. When the ball inside the books well back healed by Christian, rolled on good press by Russneck Lexy struggling to get the ball out for goodness, gives it away. Towards the end line, Roldan gets

nudged over. My sister re freeze flight goes up. It's gonna be a free kick for the sound is just off the end line on the right side. Michelle, We're gotta throw it back to you to finish your thought.

Thank you, Danny. Yes, as Jackson alluded to in the pre match show, we talked to head coach Brian Schwitzer about Jordan, who we all know unfortunately missed Nashville but for a good reason for the birth of his first child over the week, and he said that Jordan has come back to practice just riding high, has looked great in training and he kind of jokes he's waiting for the shoot to drop that in a couple of weeks from now,

after a couple of sleepless nights when he's tired and fighting Cripper. For right now, he's incredibly good spirits And I really like Jackson's prediction you guys during three match show, if you've heard it, he's a hat trick for Jordan tonight for his new baby. I'm going with that. Well, you'll get off to a good start for the sound as they continue to press. Free kick for JP on the deck six yards or so from the end line,

right channel. It was pressed by the sounders for the goal that eventually got JP the board. He whipped it in for Jordan Morris to rise up and head it, and then the sound is again good press to get a free kick in another dangerous position. Of course, Morris, like Rosnick, missed the game against Nashville, where the sounder is having it played in top of

the box. Ros Neck lots eventually by Galaxy. Good play by the sounders, Rosneck left wide open from eighteen yards a cutback from JP top of the box scuffed the shots somewha up and it's gonna be a sound as corner kick. That might be why they've given up fifty four goals right there. Rust Neck didn't have anyone near him for ten yards. Yeah, plenty of time, almost too much time to think about it. JP just rolled it straight

across, coming in the corner out. When the corner kick, the JP out swinger goes up to a drive, this time towards the back post, headed by Yama goes o the top. It's going to be a Galaxy goal kick here in the thirteenth minute remains Sounders one Galaxy nil amr got up just a little bit early on that he was starting to come down as the ball was coming across. Good ball, good ball from JP driven to the back post. I'm sure Risnek wants a chance of that one again at the edge

of the box. Good block though from the LA Galaxys front Galts try to build Coss is gonna pick it up. You play the ball in, try to find Billy Sharping behind. Sounder is able to pick it up well set to bundled over by Boyd on JP middle of the fields. Could be a Sounders free kick. Certainly, Morris has enjoyed playing against the LA Galaxy. That's his ninth goal for the Galaxy in twelve games played. Great return for

Jordan Morris highest number of goals against any single team. He's got three assists as well, so long way to go in this game certainly has the ability to add to it. All goes Intomorrow's Christian headed down to rosnek won by the Galaxy, places ble to laid down joined roll down the line to Boyd good Prince by New nothing given by the referee initiative, but eventually what's this

for the free kick who came in tight bundled down Boyd? It's gonna be a free kick for the Galaxy. But yeah, that was a good tackle in my opinion from New who's already strong. It's big versus little there. That ninth goal now for Jordan Morris ties him with rower Ruie Diaz, the guy who's replacing tonight. That's how competitive it is with that front line. And then Christian Oldan six schools and one assist against La. His parents are

here, so Pico rivera reunion with a rolled on family. Well certainly, I'm sure my brother Caesar is with the All Galaxy with the Galaxy, So the old family's here. That's fantastic. Well, well, what a good stuff for the sound is gonna put a smile on half the face to the roll down. Parents, Christian and Alex out out number Caesar Junior, so

I'm sure Anna's happy. Galas to try to build out that good pressure by the sounds eventually finds for Gunda's middle of the field no pressure for the sound is all gets played along the left hand side to od a long six yard books cleared well by Yamall loose on the initial play by Alex Roldan towards the end line is able to wriggle free cuts it past. Oh they crowd like that, Well, well, darn parents, I'm sure like that. Some

very good skill flick around the corner by Jordan Morris. The middle of the field tries to fine rosneck headed well by Alfara. Of course. Another sound is player back into lumen Field after time spent here in Seattle, Drafted twenty seventh pick. The sounder is from twenty eight sixteen to twenty eighteen first guitar player time in Mexico and brought into the Alley Galaxy through a plethora of injuries that they've suffered back in the summer because Yoshida has it to lay down another

new signing in Yoshida experience Japanese international. It's a cost in front of the Sounder's bench. This copyrighted audio casts of Major League Soccer may not be retransmitted, reproduced, or rebroadcast without the express written consent of Major League Soccer. As Ali Galaxy has it left hand side towards the box, whipped in well collected by Stephan Kry twelve clean sheets on the season, run away from his club record set back in twenty seventeen with thirteen clean sheets, safe pair of

hands. The ball came in, Sounders have it. Yeah, good for Steph. Now all of a sudden, the momentum shifted for La. They connected a few passes, good ball wide, a good ball whipped in Steph with really sure hands and then could be tied up one one if that ball's pulled a yard further away from the Sounders' goalkeeper. So Seattle really wants to put them away. Down you get another goal and keep pressing. I was putting these games away, and I think we've seen that issue happen over in

Colorado. Tunel up, very comfortable Colorado come back made the last fifteen minutes difficult sounds to the top of the box, with the Morris j Rosnak flicked in the corner to Lao two, just wide of Jonathan Bond's goal. Back in La was Morrison too on the score sheet. Almost got the same result here inside seventeen minutes. This time it was Jordan Morris to Rosnack flick over the top for a run by two middle of the eight and yard box. It is able to direct that header on goal. It's gonna be a goal

kick for LA's about fifteen passes in a row from the Sounders. Unfortunately for True, Yeah, True, it's lay down wins it in scuffed on the cross defending my laid down ball comes in clar by lay your costa through the legs of Obin Vargas. Silky play by the experience Brazilian left unstided, Odey fast signed, trapped back by Alex rolled on. He has to come back. Sound has get ten men behind the ball as LA Galaxy are forced to build out of the back again. But certainly that goal was a suck,

a punch in, a punching the gut for LA Galaxy. They know how important this game is. Got to get a win to keep that playoff hopes alive. It's the sound is to score so early difficult to come back from it is, for sure. But to your point, teams know that Seattle hasn't been putting teams away, so they've got to make sure that, you know, they don't rest on their laurels, they don't take their foot off the gas or lose their marks on restarts. They've got to get something else

out of this, you know. The goal, Danny, We see it in youth soccer. Sometimes Edwards is running for the ball, it's going out of bounds. If he lets it go out instead, he gets to it, puts his foot on it, rolls it back to keep it on the field of play. JP picks it up and gets the cross in for la. That's probably a bit of what they've seen, just making a little bit of mistakes like that. That now fifty five balls against in thirty games.

Yep. Greg Fanny and his comments this week, as we mentioned, just shrugging to figure out reasoning why they continue to score so many almost an average of three to three per game over the last five games, would be amazed. The last two games have been three to three. The game before that was four to three win with a hat trick from Billy Sharp, so no problems scoring goals, letting too many go in the back of the neck.

It sounds how a far side little ball inside as a square both roll Donald Morris ran away from the ball La Galaxy and be able to pick up the loose all the middle of the field with for gunness, wriggling, free good

tracking back by Obert Vargas. Sounds to have it again where they have to put their foot on the throat of La Galaxy get a second goal, just like they did against Colorado on the very beginning of the season four nil win was all about momentum, getting early and then continue to press and push as

new who has it? Driven ball from left to right finds Alex roll Doan to his feet well pulled down by the Sounders right back square into JP has the ball thirty yards from gold middle of the field, rolls it back out to Alex Roldon right hand side towards the end line to russneck closed down by Tony Alfaro has to go back to roll down. Sound has retained possession.

We have cheated, pulling himself wide on this near side the left. The ball stays on that far side the right with Alex roll don this is past number twenty two, twenty three. It's like a training session, right. We've talked about that in the past, having said that when LA starts to attack they look dangerous. Well, we certainly have seen that. As we mentioned, the only thing that l Galaxy don't do is give up no, and we've seen that with the recent results. I think that's a bit of

a great fami trade. Who's a defender for the Galaxy on the league a long time yet Boston three to three two games ago, they were down in the eighteen ninth minute three to one, scored in the eighteen ninth and ninety fourth to tied up and get a point. Tonight's match is proudly presented by Emerald Queen Casino. See Carl Pierce live in the EQUC Event Center on November fourth. Emerald Queen Casino, the entertainment capital of the Northwest. Go Sounders

to get here. In the twenty first minute, Sounders one, Galaxy nil off a early goal by new Dad Jordan Morris crossed by JP headed by Jordan Morris in the ninth minute puts the Sounders up one goal. As we taking a quick pause as medical staff for LA taking a look at Ode, the left back, the young Argentinian player in for Raheem Edwards, Tonight Edwards on the bench. You see a little replay. It was a knocked him on top of the head and those ones could be stingers if it hits you right

in the middle of the top and it's a little dazed. And one thing we do know about the medical stuff and supports these days in order to take any chances with head injuries peak. No, I'll question you. I I've been doing this fifteen years. And I went to the referees meeting before they game just for I don't know how I ended up in there, but I wanted to hear what they were saying. And they talked about the protocol on a head injury right and how they're going to if there is an issue.

Then the doc was right there, uh, and so they they definitely make sure that that was a point of discussion. Here's what I'm going to say. The doctor would have hit my head right. So you good, And you made mentioned it was very light haunted in the very jovial. The guys who were laughing joking around you. What color are you gonna wear? What color you're gonna wear very high tech serious. Therefore, yeah, you can tell we're on game thirty one. They've been doing this for a while this

year. I like Galaxy build out of the back long bowl by Yoshida, just launches it long for Alex roder on the headed towards his brother Christian, flicked around the corner by Rousselle. Haven't heard too much from the two central midfield players for La Galaxy the game's cot bypassing Roussell and Syria as Alfara tried to switch the point of a tech Greg Vanny outside a technical area. Just frustrated at this point is that his team continued just to give the ball away.

And that's been the problem is the inability to sustain good possession, the inability to build out the back, giving away a number of goals. I just poor giveaways and easy he's the goals giving up whether the team. As the ball goes to Jordan Morrish has to flick it around the corner, he does, isn't able to collect, laid down, reached the danger, rolls it back towards goalkeeper Jonathan Bond, deck down old pink because the Sounders are

in their traditional green shirts. Tonight blue shorts, green socks attacking the goal to our left and the LA Galaxy and their all white kit. I'd say Real Madrid lead United. Look as they attacked the goal to our right. Sounders having good pressure again by the Sounders, Is Boyd comes back, clips off the LA Galaxy wingers foot rolls over the mere touch line, just down

from Greg Vanni and the L Galaxy bench. It's going to be a Sounders throwing with New who advanced forward twenty five yards from the corner flag on this near side. The Sounders left JP looking for an option Jordan Morrison side of the box making a little run. This time he goes to JP, will give and go with k New, who defended by Sharia as he slides over.

Another new signing came in from FC Dallas in August. US men's national team youth player Bord goes back to Obert Vargas, another you twenty US national team player. He gets to start tonight. I've been impressed with all that He's had a variety of different touches on the ball. He just clipped one up and over to George Morris. He was with JP, got the ball gad right to the veteran player. JP gave it back to him and he gave Helbi gives a right back because hey, you're the guy who's gonna control

how this game goes. So he knows his position, he knows his role, but he can do a variety of things one of two touch balls or taking people on roll down the line by Jp, trickles out of bounds. Sounds have just lost a bit of momentum in this last five minutes. There's been a lot it's we're twenty five minutes in. There's been a lot of activity, a lot of entertainment soccer so far, it's been a quick twenty five minutes, a jam back ball like Galaxy, even big falling behind.

Nothing really to be come in terms of pressure on Steph from Fry's goal, but all leading in possession up to this point fifty two percent possession. Fairly Galaxy, because you've seen in Prya home games sound as of dominated possession reaching close to sixty percent, latch luge number of games this season at home. I had a couple of games the last couple of weeks Pete with Nashville, Colorado and Dallas, who have been fine with the sound as having possession and

then playing on the counter attack. It feels like La Galaxy likes to build out the back with possession. It's a Greg Vanny trade the way he plays, and certainly they've had success going forward over the last month or two. Well, they're on the road and they've got a full schedule. They've got another game in three days, so conserving that energy a little bit and then using it on the counter does make sense, especially with the kind of weapons

that La does have. So you're right though, Danny, Yeah, beat us get through all eleven of us real sounds having on the fast side the right with Alex roll Don as the ball comes back to Jackson Reagan and sound as FC Soccer is presented by Provident, Swedish official healthcare partner of sound as

FC. To get here in the twenty seventh minute law combination down the line with Leo two towards the end line, left hand's side drives it in We'll step over by Alex Christian Rolldan does the fagundas eventually picked up by cRIO top of the box to the La Galaxies. They roll it out to this near sight their right hand side is it break quickly with for goodness, little flick around the corner. Good play by Alex Roldan to come back, clean it

up, roll it back to step and find the Sounders goal deck. Down it all black tonight the Sounders build again. I'd love to see that from Alex Roldan in one minute's inside the penalty box, hoping for you to see him at the back bows wide open. The next minute is in our defensive third track him back fal given up by for Gundi's lost the ball initially, try to win it back on GP clip The heels of the Sounders central midfield

player for the Sounders is going to be a free cap. And let's get here in the twenty eighth minute, nine ninety three point three KGr FM. Wherever you listen to us in the car at home, hope you stick around for halftime with Jackson felt so break it all down all the action cleaning that nine goal by Jordan Morris, only the third goal the Sounders have scored in the first fifty minutes of this season would start by the men in green.

It's the galaxy, give up the ball, give up the foul. It's gonna be a sound As free kick thirty five yards from Jonathan Bond's goal right of center, with Rosnak hands on his hips, JP stand over the ball as the Sounders pete comfortable in possession, certainly have shown this run of games in the last six that they can certainly find ways to win, find ways

to grind out results in different ways. Giving up a couple of points in Paul and tune it up, give up two goals cheaply, but a good grind out result against Nashville is this past weekend, Yeah, no question. And the key for them is as they're heading into the playoffs is to get a second goal right and then keep that shut up, maybe get a third

goal and really have a ninety minute performance. Is Rosnak with the boys gonna flick it in towards the far post a fine game up, putting it down almost, but it's gonna trickle over that far and line to our left for an LA Galaxy gold kick remains sound as one Galaxy nil. Here in the twenty to night the minute Lumen field down sound Seattle, beautiful night for football, loose going sunshine today, great day. This This is what I love

about Seattle this time of the year. It's been a rough September. Yeah, a little rain, a little ketchup. Maybe when it was raining, it was not that bad for me. Yeah, you're right. And I talked to our groundskeeper at Seattle you today and he was thrilled because it's uh, it's warm like this, it's grass going time and recovery. The red Ox are on the road tomorrow. So the field gets arrest and good weather helps bring that thing right back. Jackson Reagan has the bull and the bat

sound is built again. A little press boye Eli Galaxy certainly know the implications of a lost tonight all but knocks them out of the playoffs. And the performances haven't been about Their results haven't been terrible over the last fifteen games, just two losses. But it's about the inability to turn opportunity to win games into three points. Too many draws, too many goals conceded for this team

in white. So they roll the ball back to Jonathan Bond's got nothing on, just launches it forward as the sound as pressed cushioned chest by Douglas Costa, receives its defeat, and again as the sound has just dropped back and a confrontation ten yards inside the Galaxy half of the field. The big as we get through to this last three games of the season. We've got a game on Saturday against Vancouver, a two week break until the final game against

Saint Louis. What the Sounders try to find in their game as they try to approach the playoffs in good form, well, good health is very important. That rhythm is really important going into the playoffs. You want to have you want to be as confident as you can be, as healthy as you be, and you want to be peaking again. The two weeks off. You could hear it and coach Metzer's voice that he's a little bit concerned about going to Saint Louis with a two week break. He'd rather keep the games

going, to keep the guys sharp and keep them in their rhythm. To your point a moment ago, the team has been doing much much better in the last five or six games. They're playing Seattle Sounder soccer that we've seen for years, so they're just if they can get a great win tonight. Vancouver's a big game because of how close it is at the top of the table in the West, and then the two week break fine tune everything. They just got to get a few guys back right. Ruide is for getting

back on the field. That'll be have a big help. You could get Kellen Rowe a little more fitness, so you have a little tap. I don't think he's gonna go in ahead a red Baker whiting now at this point. But yeah, Raoul momentum. Yeah, Raoul suffered from some back pains. We get picked up and practice on Friday before the Nashville game. Was unable to play last week end. A bear that stepped into his place with

Jordan Morris miss him because of the birth of his son. Theo there got a gold was disallowed eventually for offside after heading the ball against the crossbar. The performance by sound is forward. It's been sparse for him in terms of

minutes the last couple of weeks. The ball goes down line to boy jumped in by the or two inside the box towards the end line clipped up in the air by step and Fry. Was a driven ball by Boyd along the six yard box was flipped away with the right hand of stephro and Fry in the galaxy. We're gonna come again the far side there left. The chance for la galaxy was Leo two trying to jump in win the ball, missed it. His body was able to wriggle free of that pressure. Galaxy come

now trying to find something before the end of this first half. Was to get here in a thirty third minute and we'll keep you up to date. All scores across the Western Conference. Full slate of games this weekend, and as Pete mentioned, the Western Conference is extremely tight. In twelfth position, just above LA Galaxy is Sporting Casey. They sit on thirty eight points. Then you go all the way up to Vancouver and six for forty four points.

Clear two has at left corner of the box, overlap and run by now here he is inside the box left hand side, clipped into the back post upstowns Jordan Morris eventually cleared by Alfaro. It's across on left hand side. This time Jordan Morris won the header. LA Galaxy were able to clear their lines. But here come the Sounders again. Middle of the part with JP to Alex rolled on goals, then lines to Jordan Morris hasn't really had a chance to open up those legs and get in behind that back four.

They look vulnerable for speed and pace, Yoshida in his mid thirties. Alfaro been around the block as well. Just have a ton of pace and certainly has the athletic ability to take advantage. It all goes down left unside to Leo Tree White in front of the Galaxy bench, so Russneck rolls it into open Voca's good pressure by cust you read the play well given away by the

young sentiment field player. Good play by Syria. Just flicks it up in the air around the corner, finds Grossell middle of the field, rolls it out from the far sight the left of oding covered from that head injury when it bull hit him in the wrong part of the head. Great skill. We just saw Sirio and Costa with just terrific skill of getting out of trouble. This is a team that's got a lot of talent and frankly, they've had two very very good chances Danny balls going across the box. Fried dealt

with the first one, but the second one maybe a yard off. This could be a different game. So Seattle cannot rest at any time, and there's a lot of time left in this out for another ten minutes at least, probably a couple minutes of stop. It's done with the head injury and talking about so Seattle's got to keep going. They got to make sure that I like their the way we're set up right now. You've got three four to three right there, and then they look defensively, very very organized.

Douglas cross with the bull Wolves defeat that Billy shot. The experience English said to forward coming in this summer. Six goals in his eight games so far and ALA Galaxy, including a hat trick against Minnesota given away cheaply by Jackson Regan Ally Galaxy pick it up on top of the box to for Gundees. JP just dove in unnecessarily clip the heels of for Gundes in a really dangerous position twenty five yards from gold right of Senta. Chance for the ALA Galaxy.

Yeah, a little surprising for JP. He bit on that one, and you're going against a veteran player in Major League Soccer Fagundas, and he takes the bite and just goes to the carpet now right down the middle of the goal from twenty five yards out. Again, this is an LA team that's very very talented. Stur Fries gotta come out a big here. Douglas Costa up mercurial. Number ten found a real form over the last couple of weeks. Nine assists on the year, one gold. That gold coming in

the last game against Pauland and they're three to three tight. He stands over it. I just boyd standing over with his right foot. The Sounders war five man wall ten yards away, holding their line sixteen yards from Stephen Fry's gold for Gundees just sitting to the right of the Sounders five man wall. Costo is going to be boyd. He steps over it. Given Costa steps up his left foot driven into the wall. Wall stood strong, whereas neck

jumps up, drives the challenge clash your bodies. Nothing given by the referee. Sounders come now down the line with Jordan Morris. He got a chance. He just pulls Douglas cost the back. It wasn't a factor of pace for Costa, which is getting his body between player and ball. Good experience

play by the Galaxy. Number ten and Pete a player who's a DP who has played all over the world for your Ventus, buying Munich him to take the free kick twenty five yards from goal and then sprint back to prevent Jordan Morris getting in behind. That's going to set it set the stage well for the elley out. Yes, as a coach you love it, and then

as a player that's the standard that's expected by it. On the right hand side, Galaxy getting some good sustained pressure in these last ten minutes of this first time rough challenge by Layer Dan yellow card for the former sounder crunching challenge on Leo True and of course right in front of the Sounder's bench. That could have been worse. You ended up in the Benngeria. I'll tell you

what we can to see the replay of Jordan Morris going against Costa. Right there after the play happened, Morris came to him and said something and covered his mouth. You could well it was a little bit of more saying, hey, you got me, you got me, and Caster probably saying I had no chance keeping up with your pace wise right, So you could tell

it was a pretty good little banter back and forth. Sounders trying to earn that valuable three points first win here at Luminfield for a long time if they

can sustain this score. Twelve clean sheets for Stiff and Fry on the year, one clean sheet away from his all time club record that he's set in twenty seventeen with thirteen. He used to lead the league in clean sheets. As sound is pressed with Jordan Morris, the bull goes back to Jonathan Bond deck towing Magenta tonight easy to pick out swop if I the Galaxy trying to build out of the back bull goes over the far touch line for Sounder's thrown.

You talk about those Sounders and Stephen Fry getting close to tying his record in twenty seventeen, you can get that thirteen shut out. Jordan Morris now on eleven goals, so he played in twenty three games this year he started twenty games total. Right, we have been very fortunate to have guys at both ends of the field that you're in and year out perform well at a

very very high level. We are used to Jordan Morris getting double digits, Sounders having the atue in front of the Gals bends trying to knock you around the corner, little loose on the pass read well by Yoshida and Galaxy come again. Lots of competitive games between these two clubs, certainly the connection Sticky Schmidt of course being one of them over Galaxy o a UCLA coach sincertainly Rougheren tuple games back those early days peek when the Galaxy a little bit more forceful than they are these days. Well, they just had such star power, which is what an LA professional team needs to have. You got the Lakers right, and when they had you know David Beckham, Keane Landon Donovan,

that was that. Those teams were just funkey to watching Ibrahimovich and Corbrahavi. J oh my, gosh, yeah, I forget that scored on his death when he lost thirty five years. Oh, I think it was forty five. He's smashed at the volley. Wasn't now wonderful? Yeah? I remember I was at the La La San Jose Stopper said, Jordan Mars. Top of the box just flips off the foot of Jordan Morris by Yoshida just wriggled free from for a moment and way from out far up the sounders are

going to come again here. As we get here in the forty first minute the middle of the field, Rusnak rolls it out to the far side. You're right with Alex rolled On. I'm watching the warm up with all those superstars and they're doing possession and Danny. It lasted no more than ninety seconds. They're just bang bang bang bang bang bang bang. You're good, you're good, you're good, and they walked off. I was timing the entire warm up to see how they did it. I think Agrahamvich quote, I

think that's that a second is across. Each has a riggle free if they tackle by Jay feeling its long lines of reference in Lebron James being King, Yeah, I mean he was. Now God has a rive to the LA. That was his introduction. I think it was a late night TV. What a career that man had, What a career. Yeah, she tired this year. Of course his final cleaves Milan that injury towards the end of

his career. A man you with an ACL but kid, it's a what a wonderful crew much you were blessed to see in for those years and all those goals he scored for LA. But Galaxy is certainly sitting in the shadow of lafc O the last couple of years. That's great for the game to

have those two teams competing and constantly looking to sign the top talent. Goll down the line to Bill sharpping quiet in this first half as a six goal man towards the end line because a wriggle free of JP is able to withstand that pressure knocks it out at a bounds on this near side touchline for a Sounders throwing his re get here in the forty third minute Sounders one Galaxy nil dominant Kenier coach Houston, a terrific playing career national team assistant at La Ibrahimovitch

was there. He was riding the bike. Ibrahimovitch came in and ride the bike. Dominic's son came into the room and he said, is this your hero talking without his dad? And he says yes, and Ibrahimi said no, no, no, I'm your hero's fun. You know what you need characters? You need care of the games. Yeah, so we've had our fast share of characters. Of course, here are the Sounders Ober Flynn, good Lord. Yes, not fun. I enjoyed watching their trainings as much

as watching their games. Sound As flickered to the fast side, the right cushion headed by Alex Roldan into the feet of Ober Vargas deals with that well, Bob bounced right in front of him as the Sounders try to wist down these final few minutes of this first half. See how many minutes the referee gives us a couple of injuries, one of them being a head injury.

On O Day, the sound As half of the fast side the right thirty five yards from that corner flag switcher play by Rust well from right all the way to the left hand sidely true, picking it up new and support it behind, drops it to New who ball at knew, who's feet is he? Wriggles free of Boyd, goes square, kind of find Obed, goes

pass it overed, but finds the foot of Gamer. The Sounders have it inside the Galaxy half of the field, and these final moments of the first half comfortable so far are real safe to speak of my step and fire a couple of crosses when he had to gather cleanly with his hands, either had to kind of punch and flick away. Nine shots for the Sounders in his first half, one shot for the Lee Galaxy. As the Sounders have it top of the box, Alex Roll darn good strike block by Alfaro. Eventually

how far we'll launch it long? Nothing more than just the feet of Gamer Good sustained pressure by the Sounders and they have it on the far side. They're right with Alex Roll Dan Galaxy, trying to see out these final moments, not give anything else away. Good crowd tonight for a Wednesday night here cost. These teams will be rivals for a number of years in the Western Conference, as the Sounder is happy right corner of the box, buggled over

initially by Alex Roldan. It's Billy Sharp tries to wriggle three no real support, double lyd Damn trist to find some support on the right hand side, and former cheffer the nights a man just drops it back to Yoshidah. We mentioned lots of games going around the league tonight. Let's give you a couple of those scores. Austin three DC Mill the extra mile stoppage time, he's gonna be two minutes, LAFC tying Minnesota in the first half, one one

Vancouver and Saint Louis nil nil. Of course here at lumin Field it Sounders one, Galaxy nil. That goes to show your Austin's been having a terrible time. I don't think they've won in nine and then they go and get three nothing in see, so you can't look past in any single team in this league, no question. Pressure from JP knocks the ball out right in from the Sounder's bench off the foot of Billy's Sharp, challenged by JP. Foot was high, studs were up. Boy didn't complain as all goes to

the feet of children. As bundled over by a combination of Yoshida and Sharia in the middle of the field. Peter Sounders will take that fall in the deck get a free kick. See how the rest of his first half get into that locker room. Bran Schmetz can have a couple of words and get reset for a second half. Yeah, no question. Now let's just keep

possession and kill the restaurant. Came up to Alex roll Dan Sounders thirteen, ten and thirteen in regular season play against the Galaxy, unbeaten the last ten, so a good record go all the way back to twenty sixteen for the Sounders as they have it on the far side in the hands of Alex Roldan throwing on the right hand side thirty thirty yards or so from that corner flag.

What goes inside the box trying to find Albert Rosnaka made a little dancing run in behind al Fara, But it's gonna be the Gallic Galaxy gonna come away with it. A good step by Yeama reads the play well, cleans it up, goes over the far touchline for a Galaxy throw it and al Fara, former Sounders man, rolls it into roussel. Those such a midfield pair as Pete have been really quiet, haven't been able to dictate any type

of play for the Galaxy in the middle of the field. Well, and you got to give the credit a little bed and Jap for making sure they're cutting off the channels, and then Jordan Morris doing a good job of not allowing those entry passes as well. Well. If three blows as we're still to end this solid showing of the first half for the Sounders, golds in the ninth minute by Jordan Morris after a great ripped in cross by Jao Paolo

put the Sounders up and Pete your final thoughts going into halftime. I think Brian will be really pleased with the POSSESSI the opportunities. I think he'll be a little concerned about the fact that La has had a couple of good crosses, one from the left, one from the right, and that we know with this team right now, Yes, it was a very good ninety minute

performance at Nashville. They've got to make sure they stay and play the entire ninety minutes on this one as well and not let a team come back. We're up to zero with Portland and it goes from three points to one point game. So he's gonna remind these guys to be ready, and then he'll probably start looking at the bench and maybe city to, you know, Nico, Hey, we're gonna let you take it over. Now take it from here and make sure we close it out. We might make a couple of

subs sixtieth minutes, so they're in a good spot. But I also think Greg Vanny might say the same thing. Hey, we're in a good spot. We've had a couple of good chances. Let's keep going. So lots to play for in the second half. Now time for the Sounders FC halftime show forty five minutes of the books. Here at Luminfield and your Seattle Sounders holding one nothing lead over the La Galaxy.

How did they get that? Well, it was early in the first half. Sounders had a lot of chances, but it was Jordan Morris getting his head on the ball for the goal. Also chase it down, go back to the picks it and bounds. Good tackle by JP towards the end line with Saint Jonan Mars. Wonderful goal by the Sounders and he's off the hat. But Jordan Morris from a wonderfully whipped in cross by JP. Sounders had about five great chants in the first half. That was one of them in

Jordan Morris put it away. Sounders could very easily be up about four to nothing right now. Lots of good chances from Obed Vargas shot really nice dribble into the box and the seventh minute his shot was saved by Jonathan Bond. Then they have the Jordan Morris there that header of the ninth minute. Thirteenth minute a few minutes later had a corner from Jual Paulo that Gomez Androte got his head on at the far post, but just headed it over and then

the seventeenth minute, probably the second best chance of the half. It was a beautiful combination play where Morris sends it over to Albert Russnak who pops it over to Leo Chu who found himself just wide open right outside the six yard box and his shot went wide, But a massive chance there for Leo Chew in the seventeenth minutes. At that point the match kind of slowed down quite

a bit. LA kind of almost lulled the Sounders into a sleepout. Say it was almost like a training exercise for so much of this first half, where the LA Galaxy was basically just sitting back saying, all right, yeah, come at us and kick the ball around and get yourself some chances. Sounders couldn't cast any of the chances, and the LA just kept mowing them deeper and deeper and deeper until the Sounders finally let the LA Galaxy kind of

get back in this game. LA had a couple of the chances between about the thirtieth and thirty fifth minute, gave themselves a chance at you fall right off the face of the goal that Stephen Fry was able to get out of the way. But overall, LA, you know, for about five minutes in that first half. After long the Sounders to sleep. Almost they found themselves back in this game. But then the Sounders there for that last about

ten minutes touch of the first half, recontrolled the game. Thought we might get a second goal, but no, and this match is at one nothing here at the half. Currently Minnesota losing two to one against LAFC, so that's looking good

as well for the Sounders to clinch a playoff. Berth Tonight, Sonder's FC soccer is presented by a problem the Swedish official colt Coat partner of Sounders FC, looking at the club's bench tonight and what Brian Schmitzer has available to bring on Javier Ariaga, Nicholas Ladero, Freddie Monteo, a there Greek Baker Whiting and this great game on Saturday there in Nashville, Kelen Rowe, Stephen Cleveland,

Paul Rockrock and Josh Tensio. So lots for Brian Schmiz are lots of power in case the Sounders need a goal to get Paul three points out of this one. Because we certainly want to continue to try to push it capture that second seed in the Western Conference. There's another reason we're watching the LAFC game closely at Seattle in LFC andre Al saw Lake, You're all fighting for that second spot in the West Sounders. Right now in this game, it's

just domination. And said in the previous segment, you know it fell like a training exercise for so much of it. You will get the expected goals right now Sounders leading and expected goals point eight seven to point zero nine. LA has had a couple half chances, but really for the most part, Seattle in complete domination right now. It's say for a key to the second

half, just keep pushing. You gotta get that second goal. You've got a game on Saturday against Vancouver, and if you want to be able to go into that game with rested and healthy legs, you need to be able to take some of these legs off the field tonight. Because you are starting a very first choice starting eleven, lots of really good players who you want

to be available for Saturday. You can take them off the pitch if you score a couple more so, I would say you come out on the second half on the front foot, push, push, push, get one or two goals, and then you're able to maybe take a rustback or a horse or a chew off the field and rest those legs. At a Saturday's match against Van Goruger so Danny Jackson, bep you and Michelle Ludko on the sideline. They have the second half Sounders leading Galaxy one nothing. Second half is

next on Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFL. Welcome back sound As fans to lureman Field. Here on ninety three point three kJ FM. Sounders and

Galaxy about to get going. Both teams on the field go by Jordan Morris in the ninth minute off a head to cross from JP after winning the bull d on that right hand side whip took great cross in and Jordan Morris rose up back in the lineup tonight after missing last week against Nashville due to the birth of his first child, and what a way to celebrate that arrival, and with a goal to put the Sounders up one goal to Nilas the game

gets going here with the Sounders, Sounders in their green shirts, blue shorts and green socks attacking the goal to our right in the second half, and we're gonna just do a spot check to see if Brian Schmitz or Greg Vany had made any changes before giving that lineup. First look, nothing seems any different. Sounders look very comfortable in that first half. You could said they almost took their foot off the accelerator somewhat so Glex He's got a little more

comfortable. Towards that end of the first half, Galaxy in their all white kit attacking the goal to our left the north end. Its Galaxy have it middle of the field. Quick combination by Boyd on the fast side. You who closing down pressure from the O Chu tries to have a little nibble. Doesn't win the ball, but it has it tes to flicking around the corner for gunners inside the box. Good challenge by Alex Roldan saw the danger match

the runner for Gunders inside the box. And as for Gundas the sixty nine gold Men in MLS took the shot, it was Alex Roldan was able to block it for an early LA Galaxy corner kick. Pief, You're good for Alex Roldan covering for a I'm I right there and just getting in behind and not biting, not fouling. Now it's out for a corner. Cost In swinging corner cap with his left foot right on top of Stephan Fry. Really

wicked corner kick. Stephen Fry is able to punch it away. Referee eventually gives the free kick was initially on the essentially back on a foul by Stephan Fry, but as Stephan and Fry get step for the free kick for the first time in the second half, we'll throw it down to Michelle. Thank

you, Danny. I just spoke with head coach Brian Schmidt and he tells me, frankly, he is quite irritated, and that was really the message that he sent to his team at half that it was a beautiful first goal by Jordan Morris, but from there his team took their foot off the gas.

And they've talked about this over and over about their inability to really put teams away, and today's the perfect example of it that they need to do just that, because coach says, with one goal for the Galaxy, they're back in it and that is not the situation that they want to be in. He also said he wanted to see a lot more from Albert Rusnak getting more involved, and also wants Leo Chu to put more pressure on Calvin Lurdan, who has Jordan Morris inside the ball, he tries to cut it back

tackle by all fargoes of the end line for a Sounder's corner kick. Great little play from Alex Roldan. They're under pressure and slipping Jordan Morris in perfectly way to pass in behind. Did well and pressure and then a great ball and great opportunity for the Sounders. So Pete. To Michelle's point about Bryan Schmidtz speak the pressure were you almost made that comment a little bit that they took the foot off the gas Going into the last twenty minutes to the first

half, JP puts his hand up. Could be an oun swinging corner kick for the sound As men lined up on the PK spot, Jackson, Reagan yem are making their runs, comes in flicks away by the Galaxy. Could strike initially by Russnick just to get his knee over the ball. He doesn't goes over the crossbar of Jonathan Bond's goal. Goal kick. Ally Galaxy remains Sounders well, Galaxy nil. So Pete, I'm gonna go back. Michelle mentioned the frustration that Brian Schwitzer has. What are your thoughts about that?

I think you and I like it right. I think sometimes we want him to light a fire. He never gets too high and never gets too low, but sometimes, hey, we're getting near the end. Of the season playoffs. We want three points out of this. We've got the lead, we're at home. Momentum very important going into the playoffs. This is a talented team and you cannot rest on them. So let's getting the line up.

No changes for either team. Stephan Frying Gold for the Sounders. A back four, roll Don Yemar, Reagan and knew Who on the left, Obadvargas alongside JP in the middle and attacking three. Or roll Don rous Neck and Leo two and then goalscorer a new Dad Jordan Morris up front tonight as the number nine for Great Fanny squad, Jonathan Bonding goal a back forth lear Damn, Yoshido Alfara and O Day, Siria and Rossel in the middle attacking

three, avoid Costa for Gunda's and then Billy Sharp up front. Leo two has it driving forward, cuts the ball back to Jordan Morris, flick off Jordan Morris's foot by the left back for a galaxy. Oh Day came across, read the danger now as Costo is gonna drive forward, goes past his fellow countryman Ghiao Paolo to Boyd to Whipston towards that far post and Philly Sharp stretches out for eight yards and just wide of Sefron Fry's right posts. And

that's the poacher that we know. Six goals in his short LA Galaxy career so far. But what her career Billy Sharp had in England six hundred and ninety appearances through a bunch of different tea games, Sheffield United, Leeds, Southampton, Doncaster, Nottts Forrest, two hundred and sixty six goals on his career and with that he just put it narrowly wide. Well, that's what Brian Schmizer was talking about. You take your foot off the guys for a

moment. The player like boyd gets in behind, gets in between two players, can't let LA Galaxy get back into it. And honestly, they are back into it, I think five minutes into the second half and you can tell that they've raised a level in Seattle's back on their heels. I like that Brian got out from an half time. I think that it was needed and the fact that when after Albert Rusnicks and they need more from you,

I think that's a good thing. When you go after a guy with his quality, that sends a message to the entire Tis we talked by the first half. Sounders didn't put the game against Colorado or Portland in recent weeks. They have a points his Costa has it right channel, thirty yards from the end line. Boy steps across cost The whipsit him with his left foot towards

the far post. Good defensive headed by Jordan Morris. The gunners on the follow up knocks it over the top over the end line for a goalkick for the Sounders. Made Sounders one galaxy Neil peakywing. Good from Jordan Morris there coming back and helping you. Everybody's got to do their part right both ends

of the field. Jordan's there to knock that one out. It's a tricky little play, the fake of the cross to try to get the defense to move a little stop at your stutter and then it hit in the bronze. It's in a good area. But honestly, Danny, I thought Seattle defended that well. I didn't see a single LA player that was tucked inside or between two players. They lift very sharp in the market, very important right now. Well, Jordan Morris definitely seams up for it. Good defensive headed

there of course ahead of for the goal. Chasing back defensively at times, as brance Schwetz has said some of his press conferences, going to run off adrenaline over the next couple of weeks as he settles into being a new debt. You remember those days, Pete getting up at the middle of the night, like, dude, I do, Let's go take the kid for a drive. Ian left hand side. Costa gets inside the box, wix it

in a strike on goal. It was over the end line, stephro and Fry took no chances, made the safe the shot trying to catch out Stephen Fry on his front post binggled free. Then you gotta come back for an off side. Our oldest had I don't remember what it was called, but they couldn't sleep, so you have to put him in the car and drive around the neighborhood for a while. It sounds like misery. That's what it's

called. That hope he's a listener. Stephen Fry pulling the deck deck town No Black launched it long, not messing around to the head of Yoshido heads it up in the air middle of the field, headed by Jackson Reagan and says twice through to Jonathan Bond and the La Galaxy goal. The Galaxy to put that foot on the gas now Pee, They're gonna have to find a way back in this game. This is really desperation time for them as they

try to call themselves back. Now six points away from playoff contention coming into this game, Rety four games to go. Well, there's been a lot of teams that have come to Seattle that have been down on their luck. Welcomes to Odin cost has a chance that he scars and just as we talked about, like Galaxy trying to find themselves back in the game, it was

a good ball by the left back. Oh Day found a streak in Costa inside the box, wide open from ten yards with the outside of his left foot, slides it past Steph and Fry to tie the game up here at Lumen Field, Sounders won't Galaxy one put a great first touch from Odey there just right into space, splits three Seattle defenders and then tucks it away Fry. No chance has to come out a terrific goal. But this is what Ryan Schwetz is gonna be very very upset with his Fry, very upset with

as well. The team was flat footed one the entry pass should get in and two Seattle's got to be there and not allow that easy to turns it. It's a very good goal, but it's an easy goal. Skillful, terrific ball played in good run, but there's four players all around. It's just not good enough, is it? No? Offensively, it's especially this before the season. One switch up play to Oday's wide open left back. It sounds to have it down the right hand side hole. It's gonna roll

just out of bounds. We see roldn Goes flying in crash it into the advertising holdings where a couple of his fellow players substitutions were warming up. Now that's a tough one and there's a lot left in this half where we are thirty five minutes to go minimum and that's not out. Seattle wanted tone out

first ten minutes. As we mentioned, four games without win here at Luminfield draws two losses, Sounds trying to get back on that winning trail, solidify their position up the Western Conference, to make sure they get some good, solid home field advantage to get into the playoffs. As you mentioned, Brian Schmitz, they're always control the controllables. Sounders don't want to just slip into the playoffs. They want to go there in a commanding position when tonight puts

them into the playoffs. As Michelle said earlier, in that first half, a draw and a point, a couple of other results want them be Minnesota. Not getting their win would solidify the Sounders in the playoffs as well. With just two games to go after this game, Vancouver Kascadia Cup game on Saturday, two week rest due to international break, and then a final game out in Saint Louis in the league leaders here in the Western Conference in their

inaugural season. What a season they've had. The board gets driven to this near side the left to ode that assists man for Costa's goal. As we mentioned Costa, is that a new lease of life in the second half of the season. Is he clicks the ball here, launched along down the line, You've got a bit between their teeth with Boyd challenged by knew Who five yards towards the end. I gets the end line, tries to go around new Who and Pete. If there's one player that is a difficult person to

get past in this league, he's knew Who. In one we won the situation. Yeah, right there, Boyd thinks he's already gone past him and he's one step knew who's right back on it. But it's his big physical presence. Boy cannot get around that big body and he just ushers the ball out of bounds, no problem at all. We have seen him do that three to five times every game. They're depressed by the Galaxy. It sounds building out of the back. We're able to get out of it isn't well.

Dond biggles free Lads. Pulls the ball down the line towards Jordan Morris towards the end line right hand so I tries to cut it towards at Christian rolled On quick to break inside the box gets cut out by the Galaxy ount on this near touchline for a Sounders throw ten yards or so from this near corner flag the southwest corner. Another good ball slipped into Jordan Morris down the right hand side. I think he wanted to you to cut inside and not

stay at the back post. That's roll down throws the board to open box Christian hallback to rold On towards the end. I tries to cut it around the corner to Christian. Rolldo I'm gonna be a corner kick for the Sounders on this near side the right. That's the fourth south corner kick for the Sounders in this game. It's gonna be GP again. The memory serves Pete. Every corner kick so far has been on the Sounders right, an out swinging corner kick. The Sounders huddle up on the top of the six yard

box. JP steps up, plays it in top of the six He tries to get to it hold it comes away to the top of the box. Sounder to pick it up again. Christian rolled on. You know, the field shifts out from left hand side. The Leo Chow which doesn't play. A little combination clearance by Roussell clicks off. The hip of Rosneck doesn't go out of play. Sound of retained possession. They're half of the field as

they come again. But Pee, this is the test for teams that want to be successful in MLS Cup and making runs and have put these games away. You now have got to face a bit of adversity, the Galaxy coming back into the game, trying to get control of this score line and trying to get that three points. You are one hundred percent correct. Needs some leadership on the field. Somebody to start. Roller sleeves up, starts screamingutes

some guys and get it going, Jackson. We're going to make a play, right Danny, whether it's a corner kick, and get on the end of it. Steal a ball in the middle of the park. Weld down the line by that role. Don't give it away. Jordan Morris is gonna press. Alfara rolls the ball back to Jonathan Bond and the La Galaxy goal. You're pressure by Morris quite get there, as the Galaxy did get away

with it. O. Team is pressing high up the field as the back four build out was Cossus flexer with the outside of his left foot just in the manner which he scored that goal. Finds Ode back to Surreal Man from FC Dallas coming in in the summer. As you mentioned host litany of injuries that played the Galaxy. Kush has been out with a knock on his ankle missus today. Expect to go back this weekend. Kela Jari, Neil sarahs Chi Toto of course their talisman, and then Brookman as well. So a

number of starters out. Replenished that group with some signings in the summer, including for Gundis sharp who will play today? Barrios be in for Colorado of course, Solfara goes through Christian Roldan. It's going to be a sounder's free kick thirty five yards from all just Roine of Censor. It's a good opportunity for Seattle. You know, this is where you might be have a Nicol Landero on the ball and neel a more pinpoint accurate with these free kicks.

Jordan Morris, by the way, three times he's closed down and Bond did not expect him to get to him back quick. Had Jordan Morris gone and had roll Don gone as well? They've got to continue to put that kind of brush on their back. Lind JP has the ball on the deck thirty five yards from golds Ryne of Censor, looking to try and flick and go short to Rosnick. Look free kick off the training field didn't quite work out and win to Rosneck trying to flick it over the top, went low,

cut out by the galaxy. The sound is gonna have to build again deep in their half of the field. JP Rose not making that little dancing run in behind doesn't get it. No real uptions to the sound is stationary up front of the ball goes down the line, easily cut out by how far him loose by yoshidak giving up to Obert Vargas to JP. Galaxy is still hustling, harrying the play over the field. That is new who managed to wriggle free of that pressure to Leo Choo ten yards from the end line.

Double team by Lear. Damon Boyd goes out for a Sounder's cornerkick, this time on the Sounders left. Their fifth corner kick of the game is gonna be Rosneck, Who's gonna jog over take him with his right foot begin string a corner kick. He's getting here In the sixty second minute, short to Alex Roldan's can flick it to the far post. D it cleared by Yoshida. Speculative ambitious strike from JP goes high and wide over the end line for

a goalkick remains Sounders one Galaxy one knew who on the offensive side. Boy tries to push him off the ball and is so physically strong. I think his World Cup experience has given him a lot more confidence in tight spaces, So use that body yet, and he's getting more matured right he's more experienced all the time, but we're so used to him not getting knocked off the ball. The Galaxy him playing with fire again in the area of the field

where they're susceptible, but this time they get it away. Sharp controls it with his chest, holds off the pressure of Jackson. Reagan shifts the ball. Knew who reads the play because shits it down to Leo Chu. She gets in front of Lea down and his left hand side the far left. The play by this sounds out of pressure. It's new to JP and he

mentioned New who suspended the last game yellow card accumulation. Certainly one of the best left backs in one to one situations in the way that Brian Schmittz's pete adjusted tactics this year, allowing ox ordonately high and right plays into his strengths. New who plays a little bit more conservatively on that left hand side, and it's word well for both sides of the field. Yeah, it suits him. And what I like is it Knew who's embraced it. I don't

think he's, you know, trying to do too much. He knows, stays home, does his job, and will help the team run twelve shutouts so it's working and I think that's a sign of maturity there. He's embraced the role and you don't see a lot of drama from him not being able to get forward well. Tonight's match is proudly presented by Emerald Queen Casino. See Karl Pierce live in the EQC Events Center on November fourth. Emerald Queen

Casino, the entertainment capital of the Northwest. Go Sounders all launches long, good, powerful header by how far the former Sounders manners. JP tries to do a side volley switcher play but doesn't quite reach his man in Leo Chu. Sounders do come away with it, Becausna got some time and space driving forward with the ball thirty yards from gold left of center, tries to fight the park corner, almost finds and it just goes wide of Jonathan Bond's left

post. The referees gonna say it flights off the Galaxy defender. It's gonna be a corner kick for the Sounders. I don't mind that from rus neck. You gotta try it right. Comes in from the left hand side, cuts in, didn't have a lot of great options, not far off target, and again the deflection and that matter got bass Bard Sounders wanna kick on

this near side. They're right as they get prepped with a couple of changes Badero and Reid Baker Whites and getting stripped off, getting final instructions with Brian Schmidtz. It's to be the final player for a couple of Sounders players. Horner kick comes in, whipped in top of the six jobbos he have I Yama and it's a strike by Leo two over the top. The referee calls a free kick for the initial head up by Yama climbed on top of the

Galaxy player. He was arguing the referee, but it was a chance for the Sounders. You see a couple of those stubs coming in Read Baker Whiting. We call a daro both starts. Is in the last game, y it's gonna be Albert Rossnick, He's gonna come in Heka Loodero is gonna what if Albert Rossnick? Leo Choo's gonna be the man to make way for Read Baker Wayton. So we'll see all the changes are lightful like Rosneck Ladero most

likely. When Leo Chu trudges off the field, looks certainly disappointed. I think it'd be a lightful like switch with read Baker Waanton shifting up a line. As they make way, we'll throw it down to Michelle and he When we spoke to your head coach Bryan Schmins on at production meeting this morning, he did say about how much he loves read big writing, especially on the attacking front, how he obviously can play both sides of the field defensively,

but he's got that extra element. And it's interesting that he's making the substitutions in the sixty six minute because prior to tonight's match as well as halftime, he iterated this to me that he was going to have his players go as long as they could and that meant seventy seventy five minutes, and so he obviously is needing a spark and hoping that we can bring that in now in

the sixty sixth minute. Yeah, thanks, Michelle. B Baker Whiting Team of the match day bench performance his game against Nashville and his prior start was against FC Dallas from left back. Both from left back, got the assist from the bench that time, as well as the first assist to the sound Saunders Habit left outside this time with rebake k Whiting. Our chance that is left Will which the bowling nicely cut out by Yoshida headed clear Will bounces three

times middle of the field. Sounders need to take control the retained possession. They side the right. Alex Roldn plays at square for JP thirty odds for goal, rolls it in little combination with Obed Vargas cleared eventually by the l Galaxy goes there for Saunders throat. I liked the idea from all that good entry pass and from JP, just doesn't quite get a good angle on it. Danny, I like this. I like I like read Baker Whiting going

higher up the field. That's you know where when he came into the Sounders. That's his position is higher up the field. So now you got knew who to lock it down and read Baker Whiting had been very good offensively, uh and this gives him a great chance and it expands his swath of positions he can play to help this team. That's a good move from Barne.

Spencer all goes in first touched by Ladero Jordan Marris's top of the box, flipping the outside his foot to Readmaker Whites and left corner of the box comes towards his left foot, cuts back rolls it to news in support from behind a couple of steppos by knwho of course love it. Ladera left hand side whips it in its across the six job holds Heady Claire by Alfarrow. That

stoup By laid down on the clearance. Sound has retained possession and the attacking third whipped him by read Baker. Why to towards that far posts alludes the stretch right leg of Alex Roldan goes over the end line. It's gonna be a goal for La Galaxy remains Sounder's one galaxy one in this sport They is presented by Emerald Queen Casino. I like the energy that Reed Baker Whiting has

brought onto the field. It's a good substitution for Brian Schemetzer. I think she is very dangerous, but this gives more energy and then Nico will start to pull the strings and Brian frankly, you know, as Michelle said, he wanted to wait maybe a few more minutes, but I think it was the time to make the change now to get some new confused energy. That's Nicole could bring something as well. We're also gonna just mention a substitution by

the LA Galaxy. Jovlich come on the field for Gunness Sibit International sign into August of twenty to twenty one. A disappointing campaign so far for the young sub trying to get the field and get some good minutes here as they close out this season. Bull goes down the line, finds a chest of Cost that brings it down, flick around the corner to Jovlich about to Cost tries

to knock it in the legs of Ovid Vargas. It's gonna be a thrown for La Galaxy, right in front of the Galaxy bench and Greg Vanny organizing his team try to get ahead in this game. To tie here one one, Cost tries to flick it around the corner. When a player puts his hands up in the air pleading innocence usually means they're guilty. Usually means they're

guilty. The Sounders thrown Alex rolled down right in front of Greg Vanni, plays it into JP pressure from Billy Sharp flicks the ball from right to the far side the left Now who stretches for it is unable to bring it down, rolls over the far touch line for an Lle Galaxy throw. Let's get

you the fine. There's the other substitute for the Sounders mentioned Baker, Whiting and Ladero came on Oriaga, Montero, Evert, kelen Roe, Steph Cleveland, Paul roth Rock and then Josh Atensio game on Saturday, Pete this point was that a tactical move to bring on Reed and Nico. I think it was tactical, but also to make an impact. Let's Brian wants to win this game. There's no question about that, so I don't think he's uh. I think those are two terrific subs. The form that Baker Whiting has

been in Nico with you know, ten assists already this season. I like the substitution and it has brought some energy for Seattle. We'll join us for our last regular season home match against Cascade Arrival Vancouver White capstef Seed on Saturday, October seventh at seven thirty pm. You could watch via the MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app, or listen on nine to fifty KGr AM and l RAY thirteen sixty am in Spanish with a provident tweetish pre match show

starting at seven pm. More comes in throwing inside the box cushion headed by Sharp top of the box to Rahem Edwards. Substitute just came on the field for oday, Like for like, swap left back for left back. Experienced Raheem Edwards been a starter for most of the season. I was gonna field in that left hand side, trying to find a way to break the Sounders down, find that three points which they so desperately need as they search for

any type of hope in their playoff run. Given away by the Sounders, they come the galaxy through the middle of the field. It costs her cracking back by roaldn flex both to the far side to Boy top of the box. One be one with New who towards the end like good tackle by New who flicks up in the air. GP's able to clean it up. As you mentioned, there's the new hoo booze, good play by New who as good of a one B one defenders you ever gonna find an MLS continues to

be a standout defensively. We talked about it before the game. Danny the Redmaker. Whiting's performance at Nashville and the week before has gotten him in good favor with the team and the Vans and his teammates. I think we've seen a pretty sharp effort from both Alex trolled on the right back and knew who

as well. Iron sharpens iron. You've gotta have competition, so fans, if sound as FC scores any time after the eighteenth minute during a home match, you'll have the chance to win free Lasik surgery from sharp Vision Modern Lacy can lens. Sign up today at sound as fc dot com slash laser focus. You're here in the seventy third minute sound as one Galaxy one sound as having top of the box of Ladera, try to slip it around the corners

like it clicks off, potentially the heel of an airly Galaxy player. Refereeki is a goalkick for the Galaxy. I like the third man running from Alex, Roldan Ladero tries to do the right thing if he goes to the other side two feet toward the goal Alex has slipped down. It's that final pass, p that final shot, that final execution has been a thorn in the side of this team all season, and the inability to really put these chances

away, put pressure away, and talks about during the week. Sound is so good defensively, thirty one goals given away prior to that goal for costUS of thirty two on the season, but only thirty eight goals scored when you compare that to the La Galaxy. Yes, they've conceded a ton of goals in fifty four, as you mentioned throughout the broadcast, they've five now yet

fifty five they've scored forty six. I'm no genius, but I'm gonna tell you that you're not going to have a great season with those kind of rubbers. You certainly know negative goal difference. It's gonna be a struggle as it has been for this team throughout the season. You know. You know, though, Danny, I love this uniform. They're wearing the white one and again I saw it before the game in the referee meeting and all those stars

on that jersey. This team will never quit the dope. You be mentioned in earlier the games that they've had in the last couple of weeks, coming from behind on a number of occasions, the Sound as habit with Stephen probably trying to build out the back, good first time pass driven into the feet of Alex Roll, Don Douglas costs a good pressure. Yeah. Greg Vanny, the head coach for the Galaxy, hands on his head, can't believe it's a fowl it is. Referee gives it sound as Habit Paul on the

deck. Do you think that was a foul? Thinking Nick the heel and I would say you're your former CLU player Alex Roldan could feel the pressure and it's a little bit of saveness of experience. We didn't let him look those kind of things. Of course, now he's a veteran pronoun baker. Whitey looks has come toward that left fors right these days, which shows that the amount of work is put on the practice field. As the ball goes in

behind well cut out by Yoshieta, it's the Galaxy come. Sounders needed for pressure or try and win the ball in the Galaxy half of the field. They initially do, but he goes out of bounds on the far side and the Galaxy right for a throwing with him. In the seventy sixth minute, Sounders want Galaxy one and this score of league is presented by Provident Swedish. As we mentioned, see lots of games happening around the league. This This

evening Austin three DC United nil. Some good three points for Austin, much needed. They've struggled this last two months getting results. They tried to scrap for a place in the playoffs. LFC dominant against Minnesota, leading four goals to one in the fifty sixth minute. Vancouver the opponent for the Sounders on Saturday, leading one goal to nil against Western Conference leaders Saint Louis and of course here Sounders one Galaxy one, thanks, were led to three point three.

Kids. You are FM wherever you listen to us on the radio in the car, iHeartRadio app. Watching on the Apple TV app Full House today, good, good attendance on a Wednesday night, Christian rolled on. Has it bailed down the line towards op n Vargas getting more involved now which long sixty yard box? Disappointing cross too close to the goalkeeper, easily hangled by

Jonathan Bond. It's a Galaxy trying to build out the back again. Sounders pressing a little higher up the field now, but Galaxy, we're able to get out of pressure. Well gave our press his Costa flicks it off the toe of Douglas. Costa goes out for throwing on this near side of Ellie Glencon. I like the possession. I like the build up and as you said a moment ago, it's the final pass, oh Ben. It hits the ball in and Bond, it goes right to vond Maybe if Jordan Morris

gambles and gets to the near post we get something out of it. But we've got to have that last pass has to be a little bit better. La is comfortable, as you said, with Seattle having the ball doing something good with it. You've got to find a goal in here. So to see a bit more action on the sound As bench a bear and attention getting called back, start to strip off and get some final instructions. Brian potentially thinking ahead to Saturday as well, but more importantly for this team, they

need to find a way to get three points. Alex ro'donald has that pressure forul Costa. Edwards flicks with the toe of Edwards. cRIO is able to clean it up back to while far as being comfortable, a lot less sense ab rolled back on familiar turf for the former Sounders man and Yoshida, the Japanese international. I mean, if you're if you're reasonably young, center back, playing alongside a veteran in Yoshidah who's already come in to the team in

the summer with twenty interceptions in his first eight games. They'd all across Europe. It's pretty good place to be. Yeah, no question, And you just give him the ball and listen to him right anytime do you get it, make sure he gets it right after you. And here's a dirty work for him. You can learn so much with a veteran like that. Sounders habit JP thirty arts and Gold rolls it into the box to Alex Organ, tries to flip it across the sixty yard box, comes off for a cell.

It's gonna be a corner kick. I think there was a delay. Assistant a referee initially gave the corner kick. What's a hand up? Apologizes like goes across. It's gonna be a goal kick for Alec Allacy. He's recognize them as things noticed it give the right call. And as we've seen in England with VR yes and the Spurs, the littlepool game that we watched together, Yes, it continues to be a nightmare that v Yeah, you would think better heads would prevail with the technology and being able to see it

slow motion, over and over again, the human condition. No one's burning. Good for the referee right there though, making a change right h fifth minute here blooming fields sound as long Galaxy one. See if the Sounders can give their final flurry. You've seen it so many times throughout the course of

sound As history. Final ten to fifteen minutes we see gp come off the field starter again tonight, Josh a tensio is gonna come on, be a lightful like swaps, then play alongside ober Vargas and then if there started the last game against Nashville Gold disallowed head her off the crossbar and off goes Jordan Morris, goalscorer new dat for him, job done, gets himself ready for Saturday's game against Vancouver. The Sounder's habit in the hands of Alex rolled on

twenty five yards from the corner flag on this near side. The sound is right throws into the box with there pull at his feet, cushion back to Alex rolled on good a little combination with olet Vargas hoe hold on which it in comes off the foot of Surreal over the end line. Sounder's corner kick remains one one pete Fuwick. I want to say, I feel something coming, you know what I mean. We've been disappointed. Good build up, good build up, and they're not getting anything out of it. But it

feels like that was very sharp subs coming in and brought energy. It's Ladero intwing a corner kick head her out by laid down on the front posts. There's an in swinging corner kit with Lodera's left foot, this time headed click

quick corner keeper. The sound is back to Alex hold on right corner of the box, floats it in and just over the top by Jackson Reagan stoop low about twelve yards out, couldn't get the ball on target, goes over the top goal kick Elle Galaxy that Jonathan Bond with the booze of the crowd, falls to the deck and Pete. I'd like to say this is to kill time as an away team, but Elli Galaxy can't afford to do that.

No had three points. No, that's exactly right. Yeah, I think he landed awkwardly on that one that came down hard in his back. The sound as FC Socker is presented by Provident, Swedish official healthcare partner of sound as FC as the medical staff for the Galaxy come on tend to their goalkeeper, but injuries this year Jonathan Klinsmann in and out inexperienced seven starts for

Kleinsman this year. Yeah, I think I think that was it. I thought he went to the ground, but I think it was I think this summary just tweaked his back on that one. So Michelle, we got to throw it down to you with any information, got down the Yes. Unfortunately, nothing new right now on the injury that we're watching on the field. Good news that looks like all players are upstanding. But I wanted while we had a few minutes here before play resumes to kind of turn a question back

onto you guys here from a former coach and a former player's perspective. We've been talking a lot about the Sounders inability to really shut down a team in the second half and really put that kind of final nail in the coffin, And I'm curious, how do you find that drive, how do you find that next level either from inspiring as a coach or as a player to really take it that next step. Well, I think Danny would agree it comes down to the players. I think they got to say, hey, we

cannot give anything up. We've gotta become very tight. No entry passes, don't let someone turn that goal that cost to scored. He was between four Seattle Sounders and that just moment of laps. So you've got to get the players to take ownership and just have that grint like they did against Nashville, make sure that they don't give anything up. I would agree, and I'd also say I think the team needs to be ruthless. Yes, I think it comes from the leadership. But we have the leaders, we have the

experience. We may not have the alsie Alonzo is gonna grab guys by the scruff of the neck and drive him forward. I think some types of sounds just have to be a little bit more ruthless on both sides of the ball. Make sure they shut up shop, protect that goalkeeper, give nothing away, no lacks of the concentration, and then when they get in that final third, it's got to execute better. And I think that's been a story old season. Well, the tackle that Jackson Reagan had in the game last

week, that's the kind of ruthless you're talking about. It just has to happen for ninety minutes. It can't be on and off. Bull goes down the line to Ardrige. Baker White's a good chest control inside the Bucksheta comes across baker White, he retains possession, flicked in by Laderit's was the far post keptain by Ax roll Dog tries to find his brother Christian Cota the six yoll books isn't able to find him and the Galaxy come away. Then transition

to Billy shop in front of the Galaxy bench, tracked by Yam. Edward's down the line boyd is able to find it. Fried Wee's the danger. Well, that's the bull roll out of the end line for Sounder's goal. Kate remains Sounder's wont Galaxy wont to hear In the eighty fifth minute, if you had good for Steph, they're coming off the line to thwart boy getting an inventive chance. Have that, you know, and you also have to have a little bit of luck. That was a good ball played to the

back post. Christian roll Dunn hits it firmly right back across the goal. It to flex off an LA Galaxy player. So sometimes you got to get a little luck on your side as well. I'm a believer that you create that luck right and it's doing the right thing over and over again and continuing to push and the percentages will go your way if you create enough chances.

Will Sounders certainly continue to be strong in this unbeaten run. Six games so far to tonight, boy gets Christian now to Alex rolled on towards the endline's near side. They're right, Christian Roldard making a little run. Flicks off the toe of Brissel. This time. The assistant referee on this in this side does give it for a corner kick, holds a flat down Ladera is gonna trot over and collect the ball. I'm gonna put it down and gonna

swing this one day with his left foot. The referee just holds up play ball on the field the far side. Am I was gonna run over selfless act by the big center back knocks it out of bounds. You want to see once more time on this clock all he almost got it last times he climbed well. All goes towards a near post, flicks off. Looked like a l Galaxy player. It is it was Boyd. He was coming back. I think we Christian Holdan was asking for a amball. I almost agree

with him on that referee. Who referee putting his art hand up, just holding up playing for a moment. He's gonna take a little listen. We saw Vir come into play against Nashville. Of course, when it bears goal was canceled for offside, referee is just taking a little wondering. I'll tell you I I thought, what Christian did? It looked like a cut maybe the nope, nope, gonic kick. Referee made the meal of that walking away. Yeah, she walks back. The player goes down, flaps now

Jackson Reagan, Yoshietah goos down. I think, sir, there was nothing that was scrappy this last fifty minutes. Pete. It sounds out a couple of chances, but he feels that that sustained pressure, which one of the fans and the players we want to see, has not really quite happened for the At this point, I do feel there's a goal in here somewhere for Seattle, but Daro is gonna whip it in with his left foot. It's off a six yard box. It was Jackson Reagan who climbed up first and

he had a chance. Jonathan Bond stepped forward, the goal was wide open when Jackson Reagan's only able to head it whide of Jonathan Bond's goal. Goal kick Galaxy. He's getting closer, right, the young kids getting closer to putting those away. I think he's going to start to become a threat goal scoring wise. The older he gets more games against under his belt. Well, no goals in the season so far for Jackson Reagan for assists, though,

so contributes it to the team some very good assists. The ball up and over the ten defensively, of course, talks about that tackle. It so a sub four the Galaxy boyd good shift by the left wing. It comes off the field and then Barrios, new signing from the Rapids comes on the field quickly involved ball down the line towards cost Us. When Jackson Reagan tries to see this one out will step over. Didn't have enough juice on it to get over the headlines. Who has the knock it out of bounds.

It's gonna be a Gus to throw deep on their left hand side because Edwards trots up picks the ball up. The Boris has been a great journeyman, of course, Colorado, most recently see Dallas. Of course Edwards he was terrific for Dallas. Big handfle all comes in, flicked away top of the box, lay damn strike just over the top. Former Sounders player from out twenty two yards out took a lash at the ball goes wide goal kick

Sounders remains one. One sound has been to build quickly with that with Jackson Reagan, they could white him making a run on left hand side, the bear dropping short. Paul goes into Nuhu, cross into gallaxy territory Ladera or down the line. No it comes back. Were run by open Vargas to Ladera, to Jackson Reagan and love men behind the ball for the Galaxy.

They light the sound and need a pressed find those three points. Paul goes in to Ladarum all his feet pressure and lay down, flicks it around the corner, comes off the heel of Costa. We're throw him form the sound and which you quickly get it. The last ten minutes have gone by very quick. Paul goes into the Bear's feet quick turning down the line to Ladera left hand side. Sorio comes across, looks like it crossly over the touch

line. This is a referee in this near sight gives nothing difficult and or to see booked clear by the Galaxy. Sounders still have it. Let's hope we get a few minutes on the startpage clock. I feel it to three open. Vargas rolls the ball down. They'd strike set against new who almost catch the goalkeeper out reflect de FLEs to his hands, make Sam stoppish. Time is gonna be five minutes, five minutes for the Sounders to find this

goal, find three points. Tries solidify themselves up that Western Conference. Not one in four games here at Luminfield, Pete said, smell as a winner coming. I do, I don't. I'm sticking with that. Yeah, I think they've got it. I think they They just need a little bit of a luck, a little bit of magic. This team has done it

so many times before. That might be why I think bro the overlets tries to getting the ball past Jackson Reagan Jacks Reagan steps well, quickball by Ladera tries to find the ball over the top, bears it crashes into lard Dam as he clears the ball. Not a good fil shep fell by Abar in the back of laird dam Dam stays on the deck I as we mentioned, a drawn really doesn't do much for and the Galaxy. At this point you start to see these results come in playoff line still at forty one points with

Dallas sitting in ninth position. Dallas Colorado game right now is suspended because of weather. Good win by Austin three nil today against DC that shifts him up the table. LFC dominates in Minnesota five goals to one Vancouver prior to coming into Lumenfield on Saturday, leading Western Conference leaders Saint Louis two goals to nil.

And then here in the ninetieth minute, Sounders one Galaxy one as Yemo steps up, plays the ball down into Christian rolled arm in this control and was able to clean it up, rolls it back to Jonathan Bold in the Galaxy GOALU hooks it towards his near side. Barrios is nable to retain the ball in bounds. It's gonna be a thrown for the Sounds, right in front of Brian Schmittz, who has been active up put down his technical area

tonight. Frustration Pete, the way that the team's playing, not getting the goals needed to put the team ahead. Yeah, he watched a little bit as urgency. He wants to see get numbers in the box. He's pointing for guys to get in. This free kick helpful, good location, should be a good opportunity for Seattle, but you can feel Brian surging his team on, trying to push them to get numbers in the sound of sixty shots on the goals on the goal so far in this game against Galaxies five,

you need possession of fifty six percent. But what really matters is his goals and tied up here one to one. Don't leave us after the final whistle, Jackson Pete I think will be here to break it all down. Diego maybe coming back miss Apple TV responsibilities. The sound iss habit twenty five yards from the end line, just ten yards or so from the right corner of the box. With the left foot, fipp ten flicks in and over the

top by a bend inside the six yard box. Chance by the Brazilian to hit the togget He does and he goes over the top goal kick alley. Galaxy remains one one piece. Yeah, that's unfortunate. It's a very good ball from Nico. It's where we want it, right inside. He can hit the end swinger. You put that ball right on frame and if Aber gets to it or it skims through, it can go to the back of the head as well. We're getting a chance to look at it again.

Las done well in these tight spots. Quarterkicks, free kicks well that he wants that bad. That was very good opportunity just to skim it in. Bull goes long intensive ball down the line. Christoal Golden chasing all struck up by al Fara high into the crowd. Sounder's picked up the second wall on the sidelines. Get it in quickly and the rest bite for the La Galaxy team as Rhimedwos comes flying in. Nothing given Pteno inside the box isn't able

to wriggle clear. Obert Vargas, what's the new? Twenty yards from Gold hoards it out to redmaker White together far side the left, towards the end line was back on his preferred and stronger right foot, clips it in towards the far post. I told an trusted Chushi in the head and little flicked around the corner by Yobolich, cut out by Jackson, Reagan and the sounders.

Here they come again, right hand side down the line to Ladaro inside the box to Entensio try to riggle free towards the end line cuts it back click eventually by the LA Galaxy system. Referee gives it to sound as favorous, were sound as foreign? Eighteen yards or so from the near corner flag on the south end. Alex Rodan looking to throw this one in all the big met up game up, moved up Jackson Reagan hasn't been given license to

go yet because he's six pack. That's all done, ends up pushing the players Back's gonna go long inside the at of the albums and Begetenshio flicks it inside book. That's that is Christian rolled on. There's food goal on the air and what's an important go that is sound us go up on the night, sound us to Galaxy one goose bumps. That was a great one, good long throw in, good flick. Christian Roldane tucks it away with side

twitters in the right spot. The Galaxy players collapse to the ground. Mama rolled on and sees it rolled down with Mam and Dad with Alex, Christian and Caesar Junior. I can see him from here. There are very happy about that one. So that's a great goal and again a little bit of luck at the right time. Alex Holdan has a good long throw that is

by design. Very happy for Christian Holdan, while Christian Waldon third goal on the year, as we mentioned, was interviewed her several times this week, feels fresh after only playing half the games this season due to those concussions, but he feels ready to go and what a player to bring back into the fold. And he gets this all important second goal tonight to put the Sounders up two goals to one. The other a galaxy last chance saloon. Now

is new who clears the ball? Look quite sure what he's doing. He's a clear his lines. He's the clearest line step from before. I give him an air form, good read by Atensio. The ball goes down the

line, there's the reference, raise whistle. What's a game by the Sounders and what a way to win it at the death with Christian roll Don matching his buddy Jordan Morris to get the two goals for the Sounders tonight, give them those all important three points to push the Sounders up the Western Conference. Pete, you mentioned that you smelled the goal coming. Congratulations to you. Great coaching A great coaching. Yeah, you could feel it, you know.

This'll just they weren't giving up, they were creating chances. They needed a little bit of luck. You gotta have that this time of the year. That one gave me goosebumps. Josh Intensio did exactly the right thing with a flick. But holy cow, what a picture perfect night. Jordan Morris has a baby, his wife as the baby for crying out loud. He's cheered on, I'm sure, but you know he comes in and gets a goal. Christian Roldan comes back and tucks that one away if they ever needed

one. And again, a little bit of luck, but that was his skillful, well designed goal. They're good for the Sounders. They don't give up. Brian Spetzer talks about that all the time. This is a team that never quits on a game. Five minutes into stoppage time, throw flick

back of the net. Well goals by Jordan Morrison the ninth minute. Does those costa tying it up for the La Galaxy in the fifty fourth minute, and then it was Christian rolled On found some space in the six yard box and followed it in the back of the net in the ninety sixth minute, almost the last kick of the game to win it for the Sounders. Well, thank you to everyone involved in tonight's broadcast, Keeley Dunning, Kevin Kay, Michelle Ludka down on the sidelines, and of course to my friend Pete

Fewing. Great call, Pete. We're happy, aren't we. It was a win. It was hardened, yes, but in the end maybe well deserved. Yeah, agreed, thinks so too. The exchange between Brian Schmetzer and Greg Vanny at the end, two coaches who have both ever rings and they kind of looked at each other. Brian delayed going to him, and Vanny just kind of walks solemnly over, knowing that, you know, I

could probably put the end of their season, and just a frustration. But that was indicative of what LA's had this year, and let's hope it's a sign of things to come for the Sounders the rest of this season and in the postseason. Well, let's copyrighted. Audio casts of Major League Soccer may not be retransmitted, reproduced, or rebroadcast without the express written consent of Major League Soccer. So we'll take a short break here, Jackson felts, We'll

be back to break it all down. The Sounders roll on up next Cascadia Cup game versus Vancouver here on Saturday night. But for tonight, meek, you c pitch a luminfield. It finishes Sounders to the Galaxy one. Welcome to the Sounders FC Postmatch Show. Sounders FC Soccer is brought to you by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of Seattle Sounders FC. The Sounders FC postmat Show starts now back where we belong. Your Seattle Sounders have clinched a spot

in the twenty twenty three MLS Cup playoffs. They are back in the dance as your Sounders. At the death get a two to one win over the La Galaxy. Christian rolled on with the winner at the death holdn ends up pushing the players. That's gonna go long inside the eten Ya books and magotensio and flicks it inside box. That is Christian roll on this food goal on the air and what an important goal that is. Sounders go up on the night, sound as two Galaxy one. Let's head down onto the field.

Michelle Ludkow with Jordan Morris, Thank you Jackson, Jordan, Congratulations you guys just clinched. Your headed back back to the playoffs where you belong. What does it mean to be able to say you guys are headed back given what happened last season, the disappointment of not making it, but also getting into the playoffs the way you guys wanted to get into the playoffs with a win tonight. Yeah, no, it feels great. Obviously missing out last year.

We know as a club that you know, our standards is, you know, we want to win trophies, and it feels great to be back, but we know that we're not done. A couple more games to try to clinch some some home fiel advantage and for us our goals to try to win trophies. So it's a good first step, but we keep going. Amazing fight from your team tonight. What does it say about this group the way that they didn't get up, give up till the very end. Yeah, there's no quit in the group. I mean, you see, getting

a goal that late on is is awesome. Super happy for Christian obviously with you know, dealing with with his his concussions this year to come back and we missed him, so hav him back on the field is great. And then I'm super happy for him to to to to get a Golden Knight and help the team win. But it's just that the shows the fight and the team and you know, we never we never give up. How will this performance and result propel this group forward for the last two games of the regular

season and into the postseason. Yeah, it's a big one at home next this this Saturday. Obviously, Vancouver's close to us in the standings. You know, I'll go see how the results went, obviously, but they're close to us in the standing, so it's important to get a you know, get another three points at home and then we have a tough game in Saint Louis. But focus now is on Vancouver learning from tonight and it's on Vancouver,

so result and team aside. Tonight was special for you coming back after the birth of your son, You score a goal, had that beautiful meanings, full special celebration recognizing him. I'm assuming the tea was for THEO. How special is it that you're going to have that moment forever for you but also for you to be able to share with him. He made me emotional there, But I mean, it's been it's been an amazing week for myself, for my family. I'm so proud of my wife for everything that she

did to bring this, this beautiful baby into the world. And we're so so blessed, you know. So it's been awesome, you know, this first week having him, having him in our family. He's he's amazing. And to have that, you know, first first game back, to score a goal for him and this allver like that it's been, you know, it was it was incredible. We all couldn't be more thrilled for you. Jordan. Congratulations on that and the result here tonight. So much appreciate it.

Jackson. Thanks Michelle, What a beautiful moment that was. Jordan Morris the new dad is son Theo born last week and here in his first game playing, of course he was not on the trip to Nashville, but his first game playing for the Sounders since the birth of his son. And he scores the opener there in the ninth minute, and the Sounder's gonna goal from Christian Roldan the death in the ninety sixth and your Sounders come away with a two to one win, and yes, as we said, they have clinched

a spot in the two thousand and twenty three MLS Cup Playoffs. Welcome into the post match show. Jackson Feltzpete viewing Diego Audio will join us here in just a few minutes. We're gonna have a busy postmatch show going a full hour to You're gonna hear from the head coach, Brian Schmitzer here from a couple of players. Would be a fun night here on the postgame show celebrating this two to one win. Pete, There's a lot of places we can

start. Let's just get the initial reaction. You and Danny were on the call there on the call for that crazy ending. Just initial reactions and takeaways from this wild to one win. Well, I'm happy, you know, I'm happy. I'm happy for the team, for the fans. Yeah. Again, I'd mentioned at the end seeing Greg Vanny and it was on our broadcast team in two thousand and nine, looking at coach Smetzer, and you could just see that he was just, you know, resigned to the fact

that they weren't gonna get where they needed to be. That loss really punishes la and then and Brian Schmetzer on the other side is saying, hey, we're starting to get where we need to go. The performance at Nashville, I would say, And Brian asked him, I said, he is that? Were you as pleased about that one as any? He said, Now, you know the Portland game up to nothing. I was pleased about how

we didn't until we gave up the two goals late. But you can see that the it's so funny when you know, Michelle asked the question after last year being so disappointed. I look at the Seattle Sounders and we've been so fortunate. Fry twelve shutouts, right, and he had thirteen in twenty seventeen. Jordan Morris, that's his fifty third goal. We've seen him score a ton of goals in his time here. The substitutions I thought were terrific.

There really the right time. Yeah, they infused what energy and quality Read Baker Whiting, Ryan Schmitzer, Hey, he put him up higher up the field, left knew Who on. You could have he could have just said, okay, let's let's take new Who off and put read Baker Whiting on. And I would not have I don't think anyone would have thought any different.

But the fact, and he did mention to us that he he likes read Waker Whiting higher up the field because of his ability, he was on the front foot available for you know, ball being played out to him with the idea that he would get the cross. And I thought he was a good spark Nico the quality right on the free kicks. And then you know, honestly, for Jordan Morris, I've known that kid a long time, you know, and that's it's pretty darn special. And you heard him get

emotional there. I mean, well, oh yeah, it's that beautiful. We've seen him celebrate a lot of goals and it's sort of like, yeah, great, but he puts up the te for the Yeah, that's very very cool, very touching, and the whole Morris family, doctor Morris and Missus Morris, that's just that's a special time for them and that this kid has really had a magical ride with the Sounders, but also he's gone through some two serious injuries and and uh, not easy. So that's a great

moment that I hope and it is great. Michelle said, it's great they'll have that. That'll be something that kid will watch when he's fifty years old, saying that's my dad. That's pretty darn special. So absolutely amazing moment there. As your Sounders get the two to one win. Let's go over a couple of things here. Tonight's Toyota man of the match with the winner at the death. It is Christian roll Don. Fantastic full game performance from

him. Your local toyal dealers are proud to present tonight's man of the match also with Christian roll Don's goal there in the ninety sixth minute. Following the eighty eighth minute of today's match, Sharp Vision Modern Lasik and Lens is providing free lasik surgery to one lucky fan. For more details on how you can enter, visit soundersfc dot com slash Laser Focus and you can thank Christian roll Don for that goal while you're getting your lasik there from Sharp Vision. So

great stuff. There a lot to get to you here on the postmatch show. We'll take a break, we'll come back and get to our play of the match. You can probably guess what that is. We'll also get to press conferences from head coach Brian Schmitzer and much more. Diego Audio will join us in a few minutes to continue talking about this one. Lots to celebrate tonight on the postmatch show, going in all the way until ten thirty. Full one here tonight, gonna enjoy it after a Sounders two to one win.

Continues next on Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFM. Welcome back to the postmatch show here from lubin Field. Following the Seattle Sounders win two to one over the LA Galaxy and with that they have clinched a spot in the twenty twenty three MLS Cup playoffs. What that means right now is that they have forty nine points. They're one over LAFC on the same number of games, so they have that second spot. But we are awaiting what happens with

Real Salt Lake, who played this weekend. They have a game in hand. If they win that game against Sporting Kansas City, they would rise back up to second place over Seattle. So all eyes this weekend shift to RSL, and of course the Sounders match against Vancouver also on Saturday. So busy, busy Saturday ahead both the Sounders playing and RSL as we are fighting for that second spot in the Western Conference. Listen, this is a tea.

This is a playoff situation. Nine teams make it eight and nine will play each other, and then that will get us down to eight. As any other bracket you can figure out one plays eight, two, play seven, three, play six four place five. So that two seed hyper important because you get that extra home game. Theoretically against the three seed, three would go to two. So we want to be that two seed and have RSL come here as opposed to going to RSL there in the three to two game.

Theoretically all very theoretical, of course, but in that situation, we absolutely would want that playoff game. So that is what's at stake for the Sounders here with just two games left in the regular season Vancouver this Saturday, and then the decision day match here in about a week and a half or two and a half, excuse me against that would be against Saint Louis City out there where the Sounders will face the Western Conference number one seed. Well,

it's time for our emilkreing Casino play the match. You can probably expect where we're going for this one. It's Christian Roldan at the death till Don ends up pushing the players. That's gonna go long inside the ATV albums, the Big Aten Show flicks it inside. That is Christie all done. That's the goal on the air and watching it, Pots and go that is Sounds go up on the night. Sound is too Galaxy one. The play of the match is presented by Emerald quin Casino, the betting capital of the Northwest.

What a goal that is? And welcoming back into the post match show, Jackson Feltz Bete viewing and Diego Ario has joined us. Diego calling the game today for Apple TV and Diego will get now your instant reaction to what was an exciting two to one win here tonight. It was really exciting, especially in the last play. I'm gonna interrupt you right now, Diego. I'm so sorry because we have head coach Brian Schmetzer quickly sitting down here for

his post match press conference. Le's head down to the battles of lumen Field and here for the Sounders head coach. Okay, let's do I think it's I think it's a big en applicating good. So what I would say is that, you know, the obvious act is we're in the playoffs. We would have gone in the playoffs, we would have backed in the playoffs L A C. Minnesota. But what I want to say about the team is sometimes I say it in different ways or you know, different games or there's

different circumstances, but grit determination never quit. They always seem to figure out ways how to be competitive. I mean, we don't win all of the games if we play, but they always put the effort in. They never quit. And I couldn't be happier for guys like Christian, who you know, has had a rough season, but he comes in and makes a good contribution. Jordan obviously was super excited about the birth of his son, and you saw the celebration there, so I'm happy for him and the whole Morrise

family, Eliza too and her family. It's a good story what happened for Josh Intensio, you know, because I'm you know, seeing which won Josh obed. Josh comes on the field and delivers in a critical one of the reasons why he's on the field because of his height. Because of that, his athleticism, and he's able to flip the ball on the right spot.

Christian reading reading a flipped I thought JP o bed. They all put the work in, So that's a team win, and I'm happy for the group that we were able to put ourselves in the playoffs, not having us just kind of back our way in because I think that group deserves every accolade, every positivity. You know, there's been a lot of people that have said, well, the Sounders, you know, haven't had a great season while we're in second place. So there you go, right, well open up.

The question is probably starting the side of the rovers. So they asked your hands, and Mike's kind of you coach, not coming about being the same place people talking about how it doesn't feel that way. It's not a by product of how high of an expectation you should within the club and how you set an expectation for the players to also contribute to your your epords. It's absolutely the expectations of this club. Absolutely, And I think the Sounder

fans they're an educated group. They understand when it's a good game, when it's a bad game. But they also have to understand that we don't always play well. But you can't ever fault the player's effort, can't fault different The players never quit and that's something I'm very proud of. And so tonight's game, you know, the first half was pretty good, pretty good. Maybe we should have another goal, maybe you know, nine shots whatever,

they only have one. Maybe the outcome should have been different in the first half, but it didn't happen second half. I got la whatever great set worked, whatever I said didn't. They came out and were better than us. But we found a way to win, and that's what's important. Jeremiah will go if you were Mikes right there here, shortage, you mentioned sort of the perception of this team. I guess the other part of that is it's been almost three months ahead in three months to get one at home since

July first. I mean, how how being vid able to just sort of get that that ye, during this unbeaten run of seven games Heremiah, there's positivity. Uh yeah, some of those wins were on the road, so I get. I understand that's part of the frustration with the fans and why maybe the fans don't think we're, you know, playing up to our potential.

But the fact matter is is this was a critical game. It sets us up to a critical match against Vancouver because they're on a good run of form, and we'll see, we'll see our last game of the year home plays out. But as much I'm gonna tell you, the guys are gonna be ready. Whoever I put on the field, they're gonna bust their bucks to try and make sure we have a good outcome that I Groutee, let's take one more on the side and I'll go over to Christ down here first,

and Boss, thanks for waiting. Patient those Brian talking about competition you uh, they're going back and forth and to start wat Josh and a little bit little bit. Yeah, it's just how it's playing out and imaging for a competitive side. And just what you say, this is not when you put out they pay it. It makes a team better. What everybody has

to understand. It's not an individual competition between certain players. It's competition, yes, it's pro sports, yes, but what it's doing is effectively making the team better because the players are driving, they're playing against each other and training trying to be the starter. It drives their development in turn helps them both of them when they step on the field. Okay, Chris, he did that's can you just talk about Jordan's and dads strength. We saw that

I had. Obviously his wife did a lot of the work there, but to have him on the field and what he did tonight for your team, just to talk about his point. Yeah, Look, and Chris, I had some real amation about taking him out. I thought maybe some of the emotions and the tiredness started to creep in. Obviously it was an emotional time for him in the last week, but there's good emotions and positive emotions, and you know he's got a son and he's excited. So yes, you

can see it in his play and certainly again the goal celebrated. You know, the goal that he actually scored was was he actually scored? He did score a goal. It was really good. I mean, he backed away, got in front of the defense. The snap patter was a great ball by JP. But that was that was a well crafted uh and from a

technical standpoint, a really good header. We'll come from ro over to become right, hos, I need to take on the two first substitutions we need to go to kind of how did that play out on the thought process? Yeah, Albert was coming up in illness. Nico's fresh legs ready to play. Leo Chu you know, was effective in moments in the first half. But I thought Red could give us a little bit of boost of energy. I needed to read to get you know, use his long legs. His

God give him down to getting up and down a field. I thought we needed a two way player out there because La had parts of the game. So what double of them came on and did a good job. We'll go to the Coosa. Can you talk about prize performance in his constribution to the Wednesday Yeah, as always, that's an easy question. Thank you for that. I love talking about Steph Fry big saves and critical moments, calm.

We're getting better playing out of the back. We've worked on that. I think that's going to be something again during after the Vancouver game, during the break in the build up to the playoffs. I think that's one area where we need to do a little bit better job. Sometimes we play a little negative well ends up at Steph's feet, you know, when we should have been playing forward fastest and how do we help Steph? How do we give him options? I think that's one of the areas of, you know,

in the team tactics that we've got to do better. But he does what he's paid to do, which is keep the ball out in the back of pens. You're listening to Seattle Centers FC head coach Bryant that, sir, we'll continue his press conference now. After a two to one winter night over the La Galaxy one. Please go ahead the raise hand pups re button for now we get a keta. Please go ahead and ask your questions. Come on, you your song, you you want ask the question? Please even

I can see that. All right, we're gonna move on. You have a question there? Can you hear me? Now? I can then go ahead? Please thank you, Alex coach Brian Megusta. Severally important here, Christian Rondan and less importante de regress so the l lessionless soon as Sistencia Huke and his sus compagnios corel novent minos came a po tell a little bit about

the importance of roll down for this team. More specifically, you know, the minutes that he's played since the injury, scoring two goals, providing assists energy into the group. Tell us about the importance for the team. He said it the other day at training. Believe it. I think you were there. It's like he feels like a new player, like it's a new player for the team. I certainly tend to agree. He does a lot

of little things. He does a lot of big things. Ah. You know, he's been a critical part of you know, the narrative of what was wrong in the in the middle part of the year. I think we missed his ability to balance the team the attacking and the defending and just getting the balance right. So you know, tonight was icing on the Cape explored the winning bowl. He kinnical. I'll cut it off there. That's head coach Brian Schmeitzer following the two to one win tonight over the La Galaxy Diego.

You joined us and we cut you off before before Brian sat down for his press conference. So let's just start over. Let's try this again and I'll ask you again. Two to one win tonight wild you were calling the match for Apple TV. Uh and thanks for coming on over here afterwards.

Just initial thoughts after tonight's match. I think it's just really important, right, and not only the three points obviously in clinching that playoff spot, but to me, what's the most important thing is giving that boost of confident confidence for Christian Roldan who was being struggling this season, who had that you know, concussion and missed a lot of important matches for the team, and he's

able to finish that play. That Actually Alex roll Dan, his brother you know with it starts to play, then Josh Tensia with the heather and and Christian with that finish. It was just so exciting to me. Was also like a throwback of those Seattle Sounder moments winning in the last minute. Yeah, especially you know, we haven't had one of those for a while exactly, so I was like, oh, yeah, here we're back again.

So so definitely that was that was a really good, I would say performance that they struggled in the second half, to be honest, and as Brian Schmetter was mentioning, right, Elli Galaxy came out really strong in the second half. But then you know, it's all about finishing important moments and I think we haven't seen that in a while from the Sounders, and especially now as we only have two more games left in the regular season, is going

to be really important for the team. We're watching that throw in and it's ninety five minutes and we got five minutes of stoppage time and saying, come on, Alex, let's get going, and they set it up and there

was like a calm and confidence right there was. Alex took his time to get the throw they got comas Androtti a little bit higher up, Josh Atensio, and it was you can't script that any better in two year point when you're saying, hey, it's nice to see that I wrote down all is good and right in the Sounder nation because we've seen it for a long time, but we haven't seen it lately. We haven't seen it where Seattle has found a way to win. That's what you got to do, right.

My favorite quotes from radio is I love Friday night when you're looking for a win and Saturday morning when you found one. The Sounders have done this for this fan base so many times over the last fifteen years, and it is part of their DNA. But you're playing against a team that has a pretty

darn good DNA as well. So let's hope that that momentum. And then he gets on when he's talking at a press conference, like any coach, any team, any sport, either gender, right, you're talking to your team and he's reminding them, this is who we are, this is who you are. I'm simply commenting on who you are, which is preparation for Vancouver. So good for him. Again, the substitutions that he made were terrific. They were just spot on right, and Nico coming in when he

did. And I'm sure Nico will come into locker room and say, Okay, that worked out perfect because now I be ready to lead us when we go against UH Vancouver, and Josh Atensio can now start in the next one if needed. But I was looking at the depth of this team right, so Read Baker Whiting, in my opinion, can now play four spots right back, left back, right, midfield, left minfield, copy the absolutely that's it. And then you got you got you know, those the starters

that we saw tonight. But ari Aga can come in and do the job. He's gotten better. He hasn't that much playing time, but Brian commented about a week ago, two weeks ago that he was pleased with him as well. On the right hand side, you got Christian, you got Read Baker Whiting, you got Jordan. In the middle of the park, you got five. You've got Albert, you got JP, you got Ovid, you got Josh, you got Nico. On the left hand side, you got Chew, you got Red Baker Whiting. Up front, you got Morris,

Ruiy Diaz Abart and Monterod not bad. And and you're at the end of the season, and and Let's not forget Brian's comment because we've heard so many people being you know, uh critical of the team, and and for him, I'm looking at Keiley because uh, when he said, hey, we're in sight place, it's a big stick in your ear everybody, because you've been saying we've not been you know, we've not we've been languishing all season. But they've been in the top four all year, right and most

of the time second or third, So they're in a good spot. Vancouver will be a very good test and a new opportunity to get a little better, a little sharper before unfortunately a two week break in my opinion, those two week breaks are tough, right, and then off to Saint Louis.

Absolutely, we'll talk about Vancouver ahead. You know, do you go about the struggles of this team and then I think, listen, this was one one until the ninety fifth minute, and this was a game where you know, I'm sitting a couple boothts down and I'm kind of just my head in my hand and I'm going, I'm like, this is a team who gives up one point eight goals per game. They've given up four three plus goals in the last four games, like, we have our great squad out here,

why are we not burying them? And especially with the chances in the first half. I want to come back and I want to talk about exactly what functioned and why LA was was able to get such a gripping this game, and what the Sounders can take from that moving forward. Welcome back to the postmatch show Sounders a two to one win tonight over the LA Galaxy here at lumin Feel about fifteen minutes left here on our postmatch shows, diego and I rap and continue to go and talk about this

two lon win. I'll tell you that Sounders FC Socker is presented by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders e FS Tago want to spend a couple of minutes talking about the struggles in this game, because I think you know, every fan here, we all know nobody's blind. Everybody can see that the LA Galaxy got a very large hand in this game, you know, and they picked it up about you know, obviously about thirty minutes in,

but about thirty minutes. The first half, for third of this game was a training exercise. I mean, the Sounders were kicking the ball around pretty much in the final third for thirty straight minutes. Then LA almost lulled them to sleep. They get a handle in the game, they play much better for the rest of the first half. They play absolutely better for the first twenty or so minutes of the second half. They get the goal from Douglas

Costa in the fifty fourth minutes. You know, what did we see happen there to the Sounders where La got such a hand in this game? And that's part A and then B. What can the Founders learn from that going into the final, to the regular season and the playoffs ahead. Yeah, I mean that's a really good question, Jackson, because I think, and we talked about this during the pre match, right, like we wanted like a full ninety right with the Sounders. I really thought it was going to

happen exactly because we've seen that during the season. There's been really good performances, but it's been you know, for like cool Nighty, it's been yea and beats and pieces. To your point, I think the first thirty minutes were, yeah, super from the Sounders. They were dominating. They were so close for the with the two nail with low choose Heather that he missed.

But it was a team that was making things really easy. Also, they were pressuring really high up the field and they were winning that ball in transition and the Galaxy couldn't actually make like two passes in a row, right like, they were losing every ball and that pressure the only problem with that is that you can only keep it until a certain moment, right you get tired because of that intensity and trying to push forward, and then the Galaxy

is starting to touch the ball, improving a little bit. And then second half definitely after I don't know what greg Annie told them in the locker room, but definitely what's the different team right in literally half and I think the Sounders with one one nail, you know, advantage, they they slept in for a bit and so so let me just jump in because I think, I think you're absolutely right. You just can't keep that going for the full half. So at that point then we know that we know what happened.

Then what's the lesson here about making sure that if you do lead one nothing in a playoff game, you don't let a team, you know, get the same hand in the game. Is it? Is it about you know, knowing like, listen, we've been doing this for now twenty straight minutes. We can't do it for another ten or we're gonna, you know, lose the hand of the game for the last fifteen of the first half.

Is that sort of the way you go through it? I think yeah, I think the key here is like and the learning lesson is that you cannot, you know, put that pressure for the full forty five minutes or for the full entire patch obviously, but then when you track back, you need to be organized and you don't give the ball that easy to the rival. Right. In this case ELI Galaxy, especially in the second half, Sunders

was sitting way more in the back. But also they were not really you know, winning balls in the transition, and also ELI Galaxy was you they have also really good players, right, and we saw with Douglas costing that goal basically it's only him with that when he great touch the ball. That touch basically took like three players out of the Sanders, right, and then

he just like it scores the goal. But I think the learning also too is like Sounders, it's been it's a really good team overall, and even Branchmesters said it like, it's a team that can win in different facets of

the game. But also in that in that sense when they track back, they also need need to use that counter punch that they have with a Jordan Morris with that speed and also having you know, Joel Paolo or Obit Vargas in this case, feeding them, feeding them the ball to be more vertical in some fasts of the game, but also be always I think organized, and also do not lose completely the midfield, because when you lose the midfield against a better team and you are in trouble, well, and then that

midfield, how you organize it right where it's you know Albert started today? Is it Albert? And does Nico go against Vancouver? We know Joe al Polo, is it Josh Atensio, Obed Vargas, Obed Vargas, Fine day, Josh Tensio comes in and continues to play great. I think Josh Atensio is clearly leading that competition right now. And Brian said the competition is good

for the whole team. But in terms of those two of them, I think Josh clearly continuing to lead there flick on there for the game winning goal. So Tensio continues to play great. But I think that's absolutely right. And the verticality with chewing with Morris at the top of a formation, so you have all the recipe, you have all the ingredients, you have the recipe. Now just go and do it and don't let teams back into games when you lead. I think that that's an important lesson we can learn and

the best. It's best when you can learn these lessons after wins. Right, you don't have to learn a lesson in a draw or a loss. You can learn it and win. So I love that well, Delta Airlines. See, let me just restart that whole thing. Delta Airlines is proud to donate one soccer ball for every mile ran by Sounders FC players this season, the Ray Foundations One Mile, One Ball program. We'll think one more break, We'll come back and we'll wrap up the postmatch show with a quick

thought on the Vancouver white Caps game on Saturday. We'll wrap up the post match show following a two to one win. Next on Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFM. Welcome back to the postmatch show live from lumen Field as the Seagulls pick up the French fries and other things on the seats here at outside Emerald Queen Casino Pitch Here at Luminfield, your Sounders going home smiling with a two to one win. Here tonight, Jackson Feltz and Diego Ario wrapping

up the postmatch show and looking ahead for the Sounders. Now, because two matches left in the regular season in about a week and a half or two weeks and a half, excuse me. The Sounders will be on the road for the final game of the regular season, Decision Day in Saint Louis against Saint Louis City. I see the number one seed in the Western Conference. But the next match, the penultimate game with the regular season, comes this

Saturday here a luminfield against the Vancouver white Caps in a Cascadia clash. You can watch them MLS season Pass on the Apple TV app. Are you on the call for that, by the way, No, no, not shocking, You've done a dozen Vancouver games. Yeah, I'll be at the decision they back came there. But yeah, well, you can watch the match by MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app. Listen right here, Oh

not right here, actually, excuse me. Over on our sister station, Sports Radio nine to fifty k am this Saturday or l RA thirteen sixty in Spanish Provident Swedish premt show starts seven pm on Saturday over on nine to fifty k am. So diego. As we wrap it up, we look at this game against Vancouver, we look at who started today, we look who came off, we look who came on the field from the bench, and we kind of try to piece together what Brian Schmitzer is gonna do in this

one. Yeah, I think with the win, it gives more flexibility for Bran Schmetzer to to play around with some well, to give minutes to other players. Right, because we saw Christian Roldane, I mean with the goal obviously, but he played the entire nightty full ninety. I assume he's gonna get some probably some rest at some point for next game he needs it. And other players, right, We'll see nicolo'deiro coming back probably, you know,

as a starter. We'll see josh A Tensio right again. So I think, you know, branch Metter has you know, options, and now with that official playoff clench, right and going to the playoffs, he can do that. And then talking about Vancouver White Cups, because I seen this team this season really close a lot and calling a lot of the games.

It's a good team. I'm actually surprised at what Vanni Sartini has done with the team because they don't have like really big stars overall, Ran Gold, Bran White who scored today, Brian White, by the way, and one three nil at home. And also officially they're making they made the playoffs. But it's a good team that they They're really i would say dynamic, right and the way they play their intense as well, especially playing at home,

so here you're not looming. It's a different story. But I think it's going to be interesting match. I haven't seen a good Vancouver team in a while, and this this is definitely a good for them, so it's going to be exciting to see a good Cascadia clash. Right by their standards, this is one of the better seasons they've ever had. Yeah, not totally so. Vanny Sartini has the team playing at a high level. Ryan Goldbrian White, some really good players and we'll see what they bring to town coming

up on Saturday. That'll be once again seven o'clock Providence. We just pre match over on nine to fifty KJR this Saturday for Sounders and White Cows.
