Well, the Sounders got back in the

wind called last weeks Houston back in Seattle. But now the raid Green hit the road again and it was just a short trip in fact, up by five and we are all coming to you live from BC Place in Beautiful Sonny, Vancouver, BC, Canada, where the Sounders will take on the Whitecaps in just over a half hour. So welcome in to the Sounders FC Premat

Show, presented by Providence Swedish official healthcare partner of Seattle Sounders. FC. Jackson Felts here alongside Beat Viewing who will be calling the game today alongside Danny Jackson and Michelle Lutka as well. The three of us are here to count you down to kickoff on the Emerald Queen Casino. Countdown to kickoff for the next half hour. There is so much to get to, but we begin

today by welcoming you into this beautiful building BC Place. It was one of the host venues for the twenty and twenty six World Cup, as is Looming Field down in Seattle. The venue is nice and open today. All the upper concourse looks like it is open. Not sure if we'll see any fans there. We see our wonderful traveling fans from Seattle off to our left right now looks like about section two twenty if I'm reading that correct, and one

twenty as well. Lots of traveling Seattle fans. Pete Michelle. What a beautiful stadium, great field, We got a chance to touch it earlier and should be a wonderful match here tonight. It really should. The Sounders are coming in with a full week of training. They felt good all week, you know, coming off the win last week, and I think I think we can expect a much different result than what we saw the last time we

were up in this lovely Canadian city. But but good things are hopefully going to be coming for us tonight, right Coaching, Yeah, and they recognize that they've got a busy week ahead, so they want to take care of this one. Keep the momentum from the Houston win because they've got Wednesday. They're San Jose. So the team was good. You know, they got here yesterday, which is always great. They love coming up here, right the team. It's a simple bus ride, they stand a great hotel,

you're by the water. It's a great atmosphere, great energy down here, and that gets players going a minute. This is an important game on a variety of levels. But the mood is good. And I've been here a number of times where the top of the roof is not open. Right, it's open, so that kind of gets some more air in here. It's a festive place. It's gonna be a good one to night. You do get the festivity. You can hear the music behind us right now. That

music has been playing for about the last forty five minutes. And the festive atmosphere is a great way to call it. I should correct myself by the way Sounder fans and sections two d eighteen and two hundred nineteen. I've added the official Sounders Away traveling sections. But there's a bunch of green shirts littered across that area right now. Great to see so many traveling fans from down

in Seattle. Well, there's a lot to get to here for the Sounders and their lineup in the situation with who is playing and who is not playing. So let's just jump right in Pete viewing. Let's get to the delta starting eleven for Brian Schmitzer's Seattle Sounders. Yeah, a couple changes for Brian, but the formation is still the same with four two three one. Stephen Cleveland is in goals. Steph Fry got a concussion midweek during training. Alex

Rodn returns from El Salvador. He is your right back. Gomez Andrade and Reagan are your center backs. Knew who you're left back. She was on the left side, Ladero on the right side, jal Paulo Vargas sit right behind, right in front of the back. Four wristneck sits right underneath Bruidas up front. A good lineup. They're excited to see Alex back. And it's Stephen Cleveland's first start in MLS play. He did do a couple of

US Open games, so great opportunity for him today. It is Indeed, you'll hear from Stephen Cleveland with Michelle lud cut coming up a little bit later on in our Emerald Creek Casino Countdown to kick Off that will be coming up later as well as our opponent outlook. Players still watch Key's the match, and we'll also hear from head coach Brian Schmitzer as well with Michelle. We'll talk about Vancouver's lineup in a little bit, but let's just dive right back

into Seattle and Michelle, I'll start with you. You spoke to Stephan Cleveland, will hear from him later, but this is an opportunity first time. Let's start of the year for Cleveland. It is, and we talked to head coach Brian Schmitzer about this move in this opportunity for Steff in Cleveland. Obviously we wish Stephan Fry a quick, speedy recovery. We never want to see anyone in concussion protocol, but obviously the team's doing all they can to

take care of him. But a great opportunity for Steph in Cleveland. Brian Schmittzer is talking about how really he was excited to be able to get the start today and how it's a hard role when you're the backup, especially when you're the backup to someone who's so tenured, I guess you would say is

Stephen Fry, who's got such an incredible resume to himself. And it's really a credit to goalkeeper's coach, Tommy Doutra and how he trains that goalkeeper's staff to be ready at a moment's notice, to be ready and they give it their all, and so to be able to give it their all and not being able to play in those those actual minutes that matter is difficult. So it's a really great special evening for steff in Cleveland. It's it's nice to

see him getting that opportunity. You're like a backup quarterback to like you know Rogers, right, you know you're going to be on the bench as soon as he's healthy, right. So it's one of those where you know if you're the backup, but you have to be ready, and Michelle's right, Tommy Doutra does a great job of making sure the goalie stay engaged, make

sure they work their tail off. He will be matched ready for ninety minutes because of the training he's done prior to Stephan Fry getting his concussions, and he played about fifteen games for US last year, so it's not like he's new to this. Yeah, it's a few years ago, seven fry quarter years ago. Yeah, he got his injury of courts and then the blood clots and everything. For that and seven Cleveland looked like a number one.

It was a bit shocking for me that a year and a half ago Stephen Cleveland then returns to the Sounders to be the backup where he looked like a number one keeper in this league for so long, that was certainly surprising. Let's talk about Alex ruled On coming back from El Salvador Pete, I mean obviously coached him there in Seattle University. We see the offensive prowess from his right back spot. What can he add to the Sounders attack? An attack

by the way, it's been lacking. I mean, you know, still one goal, Yes it was a win, but one goal against Houston. Outside of that three three dragons to Charlotte, you know a few weeks ago. Seattle hasn't scored more than one goal in a match since the three nothing win over Saint Louis on April eighth, one time more than one goal. Having Alex rolled on back Pete, that can add a lot on the offensive end from that right back, So yeah, no question. And he's done

a lot of travels. It was in Asia for two games and then Gold Cup for three games around the US, New York and Tennessee. I think it's worth Ville, thank you, and then in Houston. But I talked to him last night and he feels good, and he feels like he's got rhythm right now. He's got confidence. He scored a fantastic diving header on a free kick for El Salvador. Is such a great header to see.

So I think he's coming in feeling like he's got rhythm. He trained yesterday two days ago, yesterday with the with the team for the had one day with him since he got back. But he and Brian chatted and it's great. He's now a seasoned pro that Brian can say to him, can you go? And he says, I think I should go, and I think I've got something going right now and I feel like I can keep it going. So can he go ninety minutes? That's the question of the day.

You've got Baker that can come in and help out, But Alex is confident and he knows that they need the offensive side that you're talking about the album to that point, coach been saying, yeah, how long will he go on? Something that he did point out to coach. Coach shared with us with that he plays a much different style while he's with El Salvador. So yes, it was a lot of matches over a short amount of time, but in his role with El Salvador, they don't ask him to do quite

as much. He's not up and down the field quite as much as he is with the Sounders, And so from Ryan Spenser's perspective, he says, it's kind of all relative, you know, and so we will really see how long he goes tonight. Fortunately it is warm, but it's not the warmest that it could be here. It's not humid. It's actually a really beautiful night. So hopefully the weather and the heat won't, you know, be another additional factor to wear someone out faster. That's absolutely right. Hey,

well let's really quick dive into the providence. Who he's team health report Kabby or Oriyaga out with the right quad strain, Ethan Doubler out with the right hamstring strain. Sodaquia har out with the right quad strain. Kellen Roe he was injured last week. He's out with the right quad strain. As we mentioned Stephen Fry, he's in concussion protocol due to a training injury. Also, as you all know, George Morris Christian Roldon there with the United

statesman's national team on international duty. The US actually plays a quarterfinal of the Gold Cup against Canada. Speaking of can does where you're in BC Place, US Canada in the quarterfinal of the Gold Cup. That's tomorrow evening there for

US Canada and for George Morris and Christian roll Don. Well, with that said, we are just about twenty five minutes away from kick here at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia. Tonight's count un kickoff is presented by Emerald Cuet Casino, the entertainment capital of the Northwest, and Regent's Blue Sea Shield is proud to team up with local youth from Sounders FC Community Partners to present Regent's Dream Team. Way to Welcome back to BC Place in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Jackson Fells pefeing Michelle Lutka on the prematch show before Pete and Danny Jackson have the call for Sounders and Whitecaps coming up here in just about twenty five minutes, we'll sign for tonight's sharp vision opponent Alec as we take a look at the hosts for tonight's game, the Vancouver Whitecaps. Vanny Sartini is their head coach now. Vanny Sartini has put out a number of different formations and a number

of different lineups. So what we have on our sheet here is listed as a three four three. We don't exactly know if that's gonna turn into. It could turn into a three four two one, It could turn into a three to five two, It could morph into a lot of different things. Vanny Sartini likes to change around his formations and change around his lineups. As for the players, it's Takooka in Gold, Laborda, Vesselinovic and Martin's is

are there three defenders listed? Schrop, Burr, Halter and Gold and Roposo are their four midfielders with Ryan Gold as their captain. He's been their number ten. He's been a fantastic midfielder, what's called the Scottish MESSI since he got to the Vancouver Whitecaps. And then Sergio Cordova, Brian White and Lavanta Johnson a new signing for Vancouver. Those are the three listed forwards for the

white Caps tonight, beet. As we look at this Vancouver team, it's one a little bit similar to Houston, who the Sounders face, where they were on a great role, they were getting wins and then they hit a huge roadblock and three nothing lost this last week. So what do you see from this white Cap team and Vanni Sartini squad today. Well, we're just talking to Paul Dolan, who was the Canadian World Cup the goalkeeper a long

time ago, and he's perplexed. He's the play by blay guy, color guy for the white Caps and even talking to Brian Schwetzer earlier today, he's he says, I have no idea it could be one of these three lineups. Lavante Johnson played at Seattle a U two years ago and then transferred to Syracuse. He's a left wingback it's making his first start. He's all right foot, he's not much of a defender. He's a great kid, and

he's a powerful runner, and he's a big body. But have him having him play as a wingback and then Martine's behind him defensively, I think that's a place that Seattle can expose him. And it's so funny that Johnson is an attacker at the bottom of this sheet here, so we back as opposed to attacker. You're saying, maybe Paul's given me information so that we can you know, it's propaganda or something like that. But we had him listed as a left wingback, which is I mean, that's a new position for

him. Alex Roldome when he goes with El Salvare, he plays left back. But he's comfortable. If if you were to say Lavante Johnson, what two positions would you not put him in? I'd say goalkeeper and left back? Well how about that left wingback. So but he's very capable, like knew who, of gobbling up space going forward. So it's a good team. There's no question White upfront is dangerous. He's got seven goals already this season, you know, but they have been up and down. They've had

some bad losses and they've had some really dominating wins. You know the game against La that they won three two, they were up three to one. They just attacked, attacked, attack, attack. So it's gonna be interesting. It'll be a bit of a chess match for Seattle and Michelle, I think you were talking about Brian about the cues that they're looking for this team to give, when they can defend, when they can trap. So it will be it'll just it'll be a tactical matchup to begin with, and then

it does come down to quality. Can you finish your chances? Can you get your good crosses in? Absolutely? And you know, when we're talking about these Cascadian teams, you know, we usually think of Seattle in Portland, but there's a long history between Seattle and Vancouver as well. Tonight is one hundred and fiftieth all time meeting between these two sides, dating back to nineteen seventy four. Seattle leads that series, including across all competitions in MLS

eighteen, nine and ten is their record. But we have to remember just a month and a half ago the Sounders came up here and it was a disappointing outcome. They lost too nil. And this is a team that has been constantly over the last couple of years building and growing and developing. And when talking to Brian Schmitzer earlier today, he really wanted to give them credit that they come to play that sometimes you think of them as the little brother,

but you can't count out the little brother. And so I think we're in for a really good match. Hine, that's absolutely right, and Vancouver that too. Nothing win back just to you know a month and a half ago. Seattle did not look good in that match, but Vancouver did look very good in that match. Bryan Gouldforcet an own goal. You know, VTA had a nice goal as well. Vta who he is on the bench

for Vancouver to night. And you know this this is a very good Vancouver team, you know, despite the fact, you know, I think a lot of the metrics and a lot of you know, they kind of advanced statistics say that this team should not be as low in the standings as they are six six and seven ninth place in the West with just twenty five points seven of Seattle. But all these various advanced statistics and you expected goals and even took this goals scored. It says that this team should be a much

much better squad. I mean, here at home they're five one and four with twenty one goals scored and nine against. This is a dangerous team, far better than the record shows, especially here at home. So one of the sounders absolutely need to watch out for here tonight. With that said, let's move on and get to our players to watch. We didn't even prepare for this off the year, so pe viewing Michelle lucka who wants to take their first player to watch Michelle? Oh yeah, I think ladies. Ladies

does win out here. Okay, I will, I will go. I was gonna defer, defer to your expertise, coach, but I am actually gonna go with Raoul Ruby Diaz tonight because I think, you know, we saw him back last week. I think he got pulled out of the match a little sooner than he would have liked, and he didn't get as much action also as how much he would have liked, And so I think, you know, it's been a long road for him, missing time with injury

and then missing time obviously with the sudden passing of his father. And so I think he's really ready to get back to his goal scoring ways. He's eager for that. So I'm going to Raoul because I would love to see him find the back of the net at least once, maybe twice. That's a good call. And by the way, he was smashing balls into the side netting while we were doing our little talk here, So good call on

that one. You know, I think, to me, I'm torn between Alex Roldon and Cleveland, but I think he'll go Cleveland because he's getting his first MLS start. It's been a while for him. He's got to get off to it. He's done very well when he's been the starting goalkeeper for the Sounders, but defense wins championships. They got eleven shutouts this season. It would be wonderful for him to help get the twelfth shutout. Absolutely,

So Michelle is talking about Rolla Rudaz. I remember we were here in twenty eighteen for the Sounders match here in Vancouver, were actually clinch Cascadia Cup in twenty eighteen, and there was a back pass in rale just you know, you're just the fleet wildly, you know, it's just so intuitive, it's such a smart forward, picks off the back pass and is able to score it around whoever Vancouver's keeper wasn't the time. I mean role that that intelligence,

that soccer intelligence. Yes it is, you know, many years since twenty eighteen, but his soccer intelligence has only gone up since then. So a goal like that tonight here in this building again, I think it would be fantastic. My player to watch is Nicholas Ladero. I look at the set stats for Nico here in these Vancouver series. Nico has seven goals and seven assists in thirteen career games against the white Caps. Nico we as we know, playing on the right. He's not playing in that middle of the

park number ten spot. He will drift, as we know. When he does, some things can get created, some things can get bottled up. But I think with Alex rold On back, the connection between Alex and Nico, and then just simply Nico finding those pockets of space to serve in good balls. That's what I am watching for today. Well, we are just about fifteen minutes away from kick here at BC Place in beautiful Vancouver, BC,

Canada. It's a sunny, beautiful day. It's a little warm inside the building, right now, I wouldn't say it's suffy, but it is fully open. As Pete mentioned the previous segment there the upper area, so it is a little bit warm in this building, but it is definitely lively. Sounder fans packing sections two nine, two nineteen, scattered green jerseys and green shirts across the entire crowd. This will be a fun once a night

here from BC Place. So to night's countdown to kickoff is presented by Emerald Queen Casino, the entertainment capital of the Northwest. We'll take a break and come back and hear from the Sounders goalkeeper Tonight Steph in Cleveland and head coach Brian Spencer. BC placed in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Jackson felts Michelle Leucha here for the Providence Speedish prematch show. He viewing is preparing vigorously to have a call with Danny Jackson coming up here in just about fifteen minutes here on ninety three point three KJR FM. But as we continue the prematch show earlier today, right before we got here to this booth, Michelle loovegad the chance to sit down with both Brian Schmitzer, head coach, as well as today's goalkeeper,

Steph and Cleveland. Stephen Fry has a concussion if you're just joining us in concussion that he suffered in training this week. So Steph and Cleveland steps into goals today and let's start with Stephan. Michelle had the chance to catch up with Cleveland earlier today. Steph getting the start tonight and goal and in your role on the team, you know you don't always get that much notice when you're going to be seeing some minutes. What is it about your skill set

and your mindset that allows you to be ready for moments like this. I think it's something that you developed their college. It's just some mental strength and a mental courtitude to always be ready. And then as your career progresses, you have to build the patience and build the understanding that you may not always get the opportunities when you expect them, but when they come, you have to be ready. What do you guys have to do to go home with

three points tonight? I think we have to. We've had a good week of training. You just had to put our game on the field, play our game, have some determination and score some goals and keep a shut out. Thanks for the time. That's select Yeah, thank you. That's Stephan Cleveland, Seattle Sounders goalkeeper for tonight with Michelle Luck. I want to come back and follow up on his answer. They're talking about the mental strength and four to two to be able to You'll go from a few days ago not

starting sitting on the bench to now being today's start. But before we talk about that, let's hear from Michelle's conversation with head coach Brian Spencer. Coach, we're back in Vancouver to night marks of the one hundred and fiftieth all time meeting between these two sides since nineteen seventy four. When you think of

Vancouver in this rivalry, what do you think of that? That's a interesting question, Michelle, because there's a lot of good memories here, starting back in nineteen eighty when me and Chance Fry came up here for Soccer Bowl when they were actually in a soccer bowl, and then bus trips up here as a young player and against Carl Valentine, some of the famous you know Whitecap players over the year swe Guard Stadium. It was a nice little stadium opening

a VC place, certainly a tremendous stadium. Lots of wins, some a few losses, notably the last last time we were up here. But it's a lot of good memories speaking of that last trip when you were up here, not the outcome. We wanted to see what do we have to do to walk away with the w Today? I think that game we dissected a lot and just our possession needed to be better. They like to press from a certain position on the field. They have triggers who worked on some of

that in training. Good possession, extending our possessions and then you know, we've been pretty good defensively, but we need to score some goals even away from home. Alex rolled on back in the starting lineup after being away on international duty. What kind of an impact do you expect to make from do you expect from him to make tonight? Playing well, he's gonna help us

score some goals. I mean that's one of his four days. He's very good going forward from his right back position, so that'll help balance the right and left side. And you know, we're happy to have him back. And I think you're going to see him motivated Alex because he's happy to be back home. Coach thinks so much for the time, best the last night. Thank you. That's head coach Brian Schmitzer there with Michelle ludcut just before tonight's match, and Michelle, you know, go all the way back to

the conversation with Stephen Cleveland. I mean, this is a guy he played two US upland gut games, but he hasn't started an abalance game for the Sounders up until Fry has been cushion in training, he was the bench player, so it is a big chance for him and had big chance to show off his mental strength and put out a good performance tonight as in the backup.

Absolutely, we were talking about him a little bit earlier in the show as well, and I believe it was you or either Coach Fewing that pointed out that you know, he's been here, He's been in this role for a while as a backup, and it's hard to be the backup to step and Fry because of everything that Stephen Fry is. But I think the fact

of the caliber of player that step In Cleveland is. Obviously you can't take anything away from steff in Cleveland, but I think you have to tip your cap to Tommy Doutra and what he does, what Stephen Fry does, what he does with that entire school keeper's group of making them the best players that possibly can be. Brian Schrenzer said in our production meeting today that Stephen Cleveland could be a starter in this league. He at other clubs across the board,

that he is that caliber of a player. This it will be his twenty sixth career regular season appearance for the Sounders, So he knows what he has to do to get the job done. He's got the mental toughness, I mean he has to be to keep up in this kind of role of being able to train with that rigor without the reward of being able to play in that many matches. And so I think it really speaks to who he is, not only as a player, but as a teammate, but also

as a person. And I think we're going to see a very solid performance from him tonight. Yeah. Absolutely, So we'll see him take the goal in just a few minutes. We'll come back and wrap up the prematch show with keys to the match that comes up next as we count you down to kickoff on the Emeral Quick Casino Countdown and kick Off Sports Radio ninety three point

As Michelle mentioned, between these clubs dating back to nineteen seventy four, Seattle seventy two, fifty two and twenty five, leading that series, including leading the MLS series as well, I would very quickly say for a key to the match for the Sounders.

You know, listen, this is a team where we need to score goals al Roldan's back, getting him up on the offensive end on the right side, Michelle, I think is important. And then as a Sounder team, you know, listen, you're on the road. Anytime you can get a result on the road, it's a good thing. But for the Sounder win tonight, that would be that would be very huge. Completely agree with

you there, Jackson. And adding to it, I think you know, feeding and getting delivery to Raoul ruy Diaz because as long as he's getting balls up to him, he's going to be taking opportunities and not dropping back and that's what we want to see. Good evening from BC Place, where your second place Sounders take on the ninth place Vancouver Whitecaps. Vancouver have earned a stella home record this season, with just one loss on the season I'm going on beating over the last nine home

games. Currently in ninth position in the Western Conference, they are on track to make the playoffs, but only the second time in the last six years. In the first matchup of the season, Vancouver came out on top with a two nil win. They will look so week kindle that performance and seek another three points and push them into first place in the Cascadia Cup standings.

For the Sounders, they come up a much needed one nil win last week versus Houston, breaking a streak of poor results over the last two months. The team continues to miss Christian rolled On and Jordan Morris due to Gold Cup duty, but with only three games to go until league's cup break, the Sounders can match last season's total points tally of forty one with three wins separated by one hundred and fifty miles and a rivalry dating back to nineteen seventy four.

BC Place at venue for the twenty twenty six World Cup is ready to host this the one hundred and fiftieth Cascadia game between these two great clubs. My name is Danny Jackson, alongside former Seattle University head coach Pete Fewing. But before you get to peak with his initial thoughts, let's get you the

delta. Starting eleven for your Seattle Sounders in goal, Steph Cleveland coming in for Stephen Fry, who received a concussion this week, a back four of Alex Holdan returning from Gold Cup duty, Gaymar Jackson, Reagan back in the lineup due two that miss last week is a yellow card accumulation, and then knew Who on the left hand side, Obed Vargas alongside JP and attacking three of Ladero Rusnak in the ten Leo two on the left and then Ral Ruids

as the number nine. Vancouver put out a three four two one techyokuin gold, a back three of Laborda, Besselovitch Martins and midfield four of a postal shots from Burholter and the first MLS start for Lavante Johnson on the left, Cordova Rand Gold sit behind Brian White. So as Joe Dickerson gets us ready to go here Pete, the atmosphere is starting to build. People are starting to funnel into the stadium. What does Brian Schemetz and his team need to

do to get the three points tonight? Where they've gotta not concede the cohol right away, They've got to make sure they keep a clean sheet for this first forty five minute. The back line is very veteran. It's the first back line that they would like to have. They got to get Alex Roldon forward. They've got to get Rui Das the ball in dangerous places. The wings are very important. Show on the left Ladero if he can cut inside.

If Ladero and Alex Roldon can combine well together, that will create some offense. And then I like Albert Rusnak in the position sitting right underneath Ruy Diaz, He's got to make sure that he finds pockets in and around the goal. So seele's gonna play to their best. This is a Vancouver team that's been up and down, unpredictable, but they are good, and they

are home and there's great energy. As they said in this crowd. Well, Jackson Reagan back in the Southern Life, as you mentioned, plays the bullet to Knew, who finds Rusnak into ten, coming off a game winning goal last week against Houston, a much needed goal for Albert and of course for the team as well as Alex Roll. Duncan's is the first touch back in the lineup tonight, after serving so well for al Salvador of the last

couple of months. The bullet goes into Van couver burhops getting the start tonight to Ryan Gold plays the ball from center to the far side the right to Raposo looks to whip the ball in cut out well by Vargas, but it trickles over the end line for a corner kick. It's near side the left. Sounders in their change uniform of Bruce Leekitt red shirts, black shorts and

black socks. They're gonna attack the Gold to our right and then Vancouver in their traditional white shirts with a navy blue stripe through the middle, navy blue shorts and white socks. As they ambles slowly across to take this corner kick. Seems a bit of a slow start in terms of pace and tempo. Crowd, as we mentioned, still getting into the stadium, basically quiet right now. But they come Vancouver lying up. It's gonna be an instagrament corner

kick from their left hand side. It's gonna get whipped in the top of the six, flicked on the front post, cut out well by Yemark, comes back top of the box the Gold. It plays them the left woot to the far stef Cleveland scrambles, Sound is able to clear it eventually. Good play out by Ruy Diaz from censor to the fast side the left with Leadero down the line to him, marauding Knew who got some time and space can play. The ball continues to go forward towards the end like cross it

into rail Rudiaz who made the front post run. The ball went to the bat post, and it's gonna skip to this near side the left corner with Martins with his left foot. It's gonna knock it long. It's with Brian White seven goals on the year so far, clecks it well. Ryan Gold receives the ball top left corner of the box, trying to get support from good dover. Change well by Alex rold On, Let's go around, rolled on and good defending by Alex Roldan as he comes back to help his back

forth. But good break beat by Vancouver. Yeah, no question, both teams had a good break. Seattle. That corner kick put stuff in Cleveland under some serious pressure. He got knocked around a little bit. That's good for him to get into the rhythm of the game, and Seattle takes off breaking out. Then Vancouver gets the ball back and gets a good run themselves, so and right off the bat gets everybody involved gets the blood flowing Alexhall

donnad a great job tracking back there. That's well don along the line, said Ladera right in from the Sounders bench to JP bounds of miss communication by Leadero and rolled on and with that for the first time tonight, we're gonna throw it down to Michelle Lucca. Good evening, Michelle, good evening, gentlemen, thank you so much. An interesting stat from this tough, actually Vancouver team that you don't here talked about a lot is that Vancouver comes into

this match unbeaten. In their last nine MLS home matches that dates all the way back to March eleventh of this year, They've scored twenty goals and I've had four clean sheets during that span. So obviously the Sounders have their work ahead of them completely in the one hundred and fiftieth meeting between these two sides. Like you mentioned Danny in the beginning of our broadcast here, and obviously

this is a rivalry. Something Brian Schmetzer told me pre match that isn't necessarily always the little brother to big brother, but something both of you guys know quite well having played and experienced it yourself. Yeah, soy to Branch Schmtz in our production meets this morning, telling some old stories that as a captain, I don't think I ever want to coin toss, even though I guessed

right a couple of times. For some reason they just threw it across the Vancouver because the ball gets into Ladera, flips off, his toe gets laid back to Zakioka in the goal. Has been a solid addition in goal for Vancouver. Launched it long, clips off, knew who on the far side the left for a Vancouver throne. The coin toss, I think there was what do they call that, the exchange rate? Right? Somehow? You said, Danny, you said that you saw that it was heads and the

referee said no scales. I always go with heads. Yeah, over the Queen's head cut over DP addition in the off season came in from RSL after a stellar campaign in twenty twenty two. The free agent can be for Augsburg. Paul gets knocked down the line to Jackson Reagan, shepherds the ball out of play well and Brian Schmitzer Pete taught highly of Jackson Reagan in our production

meeting in last week. Due to yellow cat accumulation, but back in the lineup tonight alongside Game of those who have been a rook all season, Yeah they have. The two of them could be All Stars in my opinion. You team's got eleven shutouts, right, You give credit to the goalkeeper on that. But Jackson Reagans somewhere down the line this season flipped a switch.

We don't see him having any erratic tackles or late challenges or unnecessary cards, honestly, and he's just he has taken another step as a player, knowing what he can and cannot do. He's been dominant in the air defensively, and he's been really good with his feet. Sounds almost come away with it. It was a bulling slide to Berholze gets his start tonight with Kubas out

the lineup today Julan Gresslo missing jud two international duty with the US. This is what Brian talked about, where Seattle has cues and when they're gonna defend. In that situation, Ruy Diaz goes and all those in the midfield come with them and they pin them in. Rudy has shrugged off the ball, his gold who's going to come away the outside his foot throws it to Cordova, fastside the right against Jackson Reagan Knew who come back to support because the

Brian White steps over. The ball cut out well by the Sounds, but it falls to the feet of shot out to codovera fast side the right flicks it in headed well cushion headed by Gamar, well controlled as the Sounders clear it to the feet of Rusnak knocks it down the line to Leo Chu, but it's gonna run all the way through to Lanovitch, who missed out last time around against the Sounders, the trip back to his home country. As the ball gets not long, Gamar clears it over the head of Lavonte Johnson,

making his first started. He mentioned in MLS third Game all Together. Signed in June of June thirtieth from MLS Pro two and Pete you have some background too, Yeah, yeah, yeah. We had him a year ago and then he transferred to Syracuse. Syracuse won the national championship. He fifteen goals five in the NCAA tournament. He's a very he's a handful. He's a big, strong kid. It's surprising to me that he's got this left wing back position. But we know this about Sartini that heat likes to tinker

with his squad. So it's interesting because I would not put him as an outside left back, but I haven't seen him playing last year or so. But he's a terrific young man, big, strong, powerful, and is going to only get better and better. We'll certainly a vote of confidence for the young man. We look at players like Jo Viti we played so well in the first game between these two clubs back in May. He's on the

bench. Simon Betcher's strong stocks this season. As the bull comes into this near side the right to Alex Holdon first time up him to whip it in cut out well by best Ilanovitch, it's gonna be a sounderst throwing five or seven yards or so from the corner flight it's near side the right. We certainly see the first time that Alex Roldon getting which something we've missed. Cody Bakers stood in very very well, as as players like Kellen Rowe read Baker

Whiting, but as certainly as the builty to wit the ball in. Yeah, that I think that's exactly what the team wants. JP finds him right away, and it feels different when Alex Roldn gets it thirty five yards out. You know he's gonna get a good cross in. That's what Seattle needs from Alex is that kind of service. And JP found him right away as he did looking for Chew earlier. JP campull these strings find either side.

It's gonna open things up for Seattle. As you mentioned, the sound is pressing in as Martin's as a throw and knocks throws it down the line towards Brian White, tries to flick it which mentioned seven goals on the it as a sound is now built with new middle of the field, pinched it from his left basketball, tries to find Leo Chow. He's gonna roll over the end line for a vancouvera goal. Kicking with that, we're gonna throw it down to Michelle. Yes. Just to elaborate on what Pete was saying about

the return of Alex Roldn. Obviously, he's back after spending several weeks with El Salvador, his national team, and during that time he played two matches and a and then several Gold Cut matches across the United States. But as he expressed the Brian Schmetter, who told us in his production reading that he plays much differently when he's with the national team as opposed to his role here, so he still feels like he's fairly fresh. He was eager to play

tonight. He only had one day of training with the Sounders before today's match, but Brian Schmetter said he was excited to see him back and ready to go. I think the players on in the dressing room and in the hotel, we're obviously leased to see in back as well as played so well since making that shift from more of an attacking midfield position to that right back spot. As we taught with Brian before. It was difficult to teach the attacking

side of the game, and Alex had that in abundance. Suddenly added that the defensive side as well as the ball gets played for him. Gregan so true. Down the line tries to find Rock making a slashing running behind the back four, but well defended by Vancouver Roposa tracked Rosneck as it rolls over for an end. Line remains nil nil here in BC plays ninety three point

three KGr FM. I mean it's Vancouver nil. Sounds nil. I like the idea on these passes, that was Jackson Reagan hitting the long ball to Chew, but they're just off just a little bit choose ball entry pass into rus Knack. I like a run the ruis nacks made by the way as a sound as press a little higher. As he had mentioned, get the quest where Ladero goes back to Visslanovitch and his This side sound is right deep in the pop of the field and it's Ladero pressing Harrying. Martin's eventually comes

off Ladera for a goal kick. The sound as FC socket is presented by Provident, Swedish official healthcare pardner of Sounders FC Pete. Do you feel the game has got going yet? It feels a little slow in tempo, a little slow in rhythm. Both teams kind of finding f feat. Yeah, I agree with you. It's a bit of a chess match, guys. You're trying to figure out what shape their opponent is playing. I do like Seattle's pressed three times and Vancouver's cough the ball up. They've been really selective

with when they go. I do like that the Sounders are opening things up. It's a little bit of longer balls. They've got three of those, so yeah, I think you're right, though, Danny. I think they're both trying to figure out what the other team's gonna do Alshall Don's getting forward

like they had Ulp though that's good too. Bull comes to Johnson's this side the left won't be one versus rolled On, goes inside eventually to Shop and clicks it twenty five yards in Gold with Doba feet Guy in the right inside its roposo inside the balls goes down by new Well, challenged by New hands behind the back of any of the hand ball came into challenge to be a

corner kick for Vancouver on the fast side the Vancouver right. That's what you get with new who isn't He's fifteen yards away, gobbles up the space in between, goes to the carpet, knocks it out for a corner kick. He is very very quick. Brian Schbutcher said he's the He's the best lockdown defender in all of MLS. Ryan Gold with the corn the kick, as we mentioned the fast side the Vancouver right, it's gonna be his left foot

to be an in swinging corner kick. All the men up front four Vancouver hovering the top of the six yard Bucks goes low flicked up in the air lands was the peak spot eventually cleared by Ruy Diaz of the outside his foot to Leo Chu, who clects it with pressure but managed to get around him. Leo Chu got some time and space motioning for top of the box cuts it back. It's well defended eventually by Burrholter. He tracked Leo Chu well, but Leo Chew wriggled free. He is able to open up his legs

down the line. It's gonna be a Sounder's corner kick on that far side the left because Ladero walks over slowly and Pete again, Leo Chew breaks free. Has been the real threat over the last couple of weeks. Got an assist last week for Rusnecks winning goal against Houston. Again. Seems to be starting this game up. Well, yeah, that's his best use right there. I think he could have play a little bit quicker. One less touch is on a rhythm all La Dara out swinging corner kick flicked away by Gold

on the front post to JP top of the box. Looks to shoot, ball didn't bounce for him. Comes back to Alex Roldan center of the field, pressed well by Johnson for JP is able to clean it up. Back to Alex Roldar as the Sounders build up with open Vargas at a good running games alongside JP in the middle of the park after coming back from you twenty World Cup down in South America's The Sounders now in front of the Vancouver bench,

just putting their foot in the ball. The Jackson Reagan switched it from center to the fast side. The left ladera hanging out after that corner kick, clects on his chest, comes inside to Vargas middle of the field thirty five yards in. Gold swings it this near side the right with Alex rold Dan ten yards from the end like cuts it back to Ruy Diaz and support whips it in well flicked over by Vancouver is going to trickle on the fast

side. The Sounders left twelve yards in the corner flag for a sound As throw. Really good sequence. You can see Nicol Ladara all of a sudden on the left hand side, Chew coming in and then that opens up the space on the right hand side for Alex Holdn. It was a great ball from Jackson Reagan. It was a great ball from Vargas to switch it again.

Some real quality from the two young guys. Knew with the throat to JP twenty five yards from Gulchris I. Finally he does the top of the box just to poke it clips off a Vancouver Defender's gonna go out for a Sounders corner kick. Ladero had a chance from twenty yards collected it well. It didn't have the space to really put a power behind it, but it does clip off a Vancouver ankle. It's gonna be a corner kick. Remains nil. No. Yeah, I think he was in two minds and I

don't think he realized he had that much time in space. And then by the time he did figure it out, Vancouver back he gets in, knocks it out JP. Two arms in the air. Sound is sitting on top of the peak. Spot's gonna being out swinging corner kicks near side. The right comes in top of the box. It goes short. Misjudged by JP. The idea was there was Ladero collected it with Vargas the far side.

The left comes to Ruy Diaz and nicks off his toe. It's Brian White all the way back on the end line to clean up the mess for his team. It's open to Vargus. He's going to collect it quickly and play it to Alex Roldard the Sounders they're gonna build again. Let men behind the ball for Vancouver as slowly started to press a little bit higher. Brian White pushing forward after making that clearance to Jackson Reagan Decson Reagan feels the pressure turns

away from danger ables to retain possession. It's gonna go all the way back to JP stef Cleveland first start for a good number of months in the goal takes some us open cup. It all comes across the far side the left to Leo two, collects on his chest, well overlapping run by Rosneck eventually collects it to ricochets off a Vancouver defender eighteen yards from the end line left channel. It goes back to jpet Knew, who wide on the left hand side, looks to curll it in he does. He goes low clear by

Laborda. The sound is going to collect a good pressure from the sound A good sustained pressure from the Sounders is Gama to JP center circle. All eleven men behind the bull of Vancouver. Yeah, I think Brian would be happy with the last couple of minutes of the Seattle's really dictating everything right now, and at one point knew who was at the edge of the box on the left, pulled on the edge of the box on the right. Bull to the left hand side of Leo Chu finds the top of the boxes a head

about the Darro and he's just wide. Good build up by the Sounders down the left hand side. It was Leo Chio again. This time gets his head up and he finds little Dare about sixteen yards out. He was a header just flash wide of the Vancouver posts out for a goal kick. But Pete. Goodbreak by the Sounders, Yeah, no question, really good quality. Good little one too with Rusnack and a good ball in. Nico had a lot of time right there, but just a little bit wide, a

couple of yards wide to the right. But that's what Seattle's been doing. You said it a moment ago when they were not quite another rhythm. I think they're starting to get into the rhythm of this game. Now. Martin's left foot knocks it along no other options challenged by Yaymo, Well goes out of bounds. He is strong as he is very strong good season so far.

Led interceptions in twenty twenty one and twenty two, and again in the mid forties and interceptions again for twenty twenty three and leads to that category in MLS. So quiet, certainly, but very effective season for Yamar's. The ball goes down line to Yamo again clears that ball. This time it falls at the feet of Gold, who shifts it from center to the fast side the right with Roposo. The shop makes a run towards the end line, tracked well by ober Vargas, new in support, goes back to Roposo.

He whips the ball in high when she headed clear by outswald on on to the top of the box. Dangerous the borld strike to what to say, what's a saved by Steph Cleveland. It was a fantastic strike from out twenty five yards by bur Halter, and it was an even better saved by Steph Cleveland. He just takes that left hand, knocks it over for a corner kick remains nil nil. Well, that's exactly what he wants. And Tommy

doodrip boy, oh boy. He probably got three of his fingers on it and just flipped it up over the crossbar terrific strike by burr Halter bending away step In Cleveland. That's a great confidence boost for him. I'm looking at Tommy Dooche. He's standing on his feet, just pretty proud of the young men. It's difficult these goalkeepers to come in and get out to speed of the game when they missed so much time being on the bench as a number

two. But now the Sounders have to defend a corner kicks to be gold again. His left foot in swing corny kick comes a bit further, this time goes all the way to Laporta, gets up, heads it wide of the goal, remains a gold kick for the Sounders. Remains nil nil. Here's what's great. I have got stuff. Fry's watching this game. I'm sure he's watching it for sure. Bet I bet he's thrilled to see Stephan Cleveland get that kind of quick reaction flip it over the crossbar. I would

imagine he's started texting him right now. They are a great unit that Tommy Dootter works to build and Cleveland comes in and does his job and with that, we're gonna throw it down to Michelle. Yes, Stephen Cleveland getting his first MLS start of the season, his twenty sixth MLS regular season appearance for the Sounders and just showing us right there on that beautiful save that he made. Why Brian Schmenzer says he could and should be a starter in this league

of only he wasn't playing behind our very own Stephan Fry as well. But really a testament kind of all going along with what Pete was saying, a testament to who Stephan Cleveland is as a player, a teammate and a person that he is able to work his heart as he does day in and day out in training, knowing that he is the number two, but knowing also to be ready whenever a moment comes Vante Johnson down the left hand side, slid by Jackson, Reagan knocks it out of bound about ten yards from the

corner. Fact it's near side the Vancouver left is going to be there throwing as Martin's jogs up to take it. The sound is resolving, just a little bit of pressure now from Vancouver to mention nine, unbeaten here at home, being extremely strong. And that's a great point Michelle makes, because that could go in and you could just say, well, he's not fresh. Right, ball comes in, long headed, clear by far guess pops up in the air, collected by Steph Cleveland. Yep, I would agree Pete.

I think those are the saves that settle down any any lingering nerves, that wipes it all the way, not just for you, for Tommy Dootra, but all the Seattle Sounders bench and the guys on the field, and it's just a terrific save and you're in it now all of a sudden, you're you've got loads of confidence. Players have it in you as well that

he rose the occasion on that great save. Gamo with the ball plays the back to Jackson Reagan Knew, who in support Roll mentioned Nu making his one hundred and fifty seventh MLS appearance for the Sounders beats out Chad Marshall for the most appearances by a defender in MLS for the Sounders. So congratulations to Nu, who continues to be a real solid rock on that left hand side.

It's really quite an amazing thing that you think of Chad Marshall and you think Chad was here for it seemed like five, six, seven, eight years But for Knew who to be catching him already and just twenty six years old.

Now's we've really watched him grow up in front of us. He has the ball with JP middle of the field comes out to knew the far side of the left, whips along the ground to Leo Chu collectsy well with pressure from Roposo, comes back all the way into the middle of the field to JP head up looking for a slasher run of Alex Roldan's Yama, who collects it this near side. The right sounds looking around the corner with JP pushing about by Ladera and nothing given by the referee. As Brian now turns out

of pressure and plays it to the right hand side to Raposo. As he collects the ball into Sounder's territory, it's his head up support with gold comes in and his left foot no real pressure from the sound as yet is Rosnac makes his way across, comes to Burholter, who had that shot from twenty five yards so well saved by Steph Cleveland. Johnson cleects the ball double team

by both Ladero and roll down. It's Ladero steps in. Johnson dropped his left shoulder pushed it to his stronger foot the right Ladero bit made the foul. It's gonna be a Vancouver free kick left channel, twenty three yards from the end line remains Vancouver nil Seattle. Neil, I'll tell you there's a bit of a dive. We've seen the replay twice now. I think Nicole would agree with that. It's in a dangerous spot just five yards outside the

edge of the penalty box on the right hand side. Lavanta I don't think would have gotten to the ball, and I don't see that as a while he moved for a kid playing in his first game, first MLS start, he has Steph Cleveland lines up his two man war A ruy Ds and Ladera. Not too much height there to worry Vancouver's delivery. So the sound is line up sixteen yards from goal as they drop in his in by Gold good

header. Is the flick It is a goal. It's a really good play and it's shocked with a flick header that the front post goes to Steph Cleveland's left in the bottom corner. Nothing much Cleveland could do about that, and it's Vancouver go up one Gold to nail off the back of a goal by Vesselanovitch and Pete having nothing really is the ball comes in. We see the ball delivered by Gold good quality, flicked about seven yards out to that far

corner. Puts Vancouver up on the night. Yeah, That's just a terrific goal. You just have to tip your hat because he knew who's all over his back, but he gets there first, just gets his head in front. You're right, Cleveland could do nothing on that one. It's a great ball in and it's just a little flick on a little redirection right inside the post. And that's tough because Seattle has had a lot of opportunities going forward.

Vancouver's has absorbed the pressure Seattle's put on them, and they get one chance on a restart that honestly, I don't think it was a foul, and now they're up one zero. As you mentioned, Vesselanovitch missed the last game between Vancouver and Sound is making a personal trip back home, and that's the second goal on the season. Bull gets launch's nis i'd the right to Alex Holdan sounds I could pick up a little tempo now, John get back

into this game. Bull goes into Ruy Diaz, who's dropping a little deeper to find the Bull being quiet so far, but Vancouver come away with it with gold middle to field. Goldova turns away from pressure from JP. Bull still a Goodova's feet comes left right from the Sounda's bench to john Soon, who's going to come inside. Its right foot flecks it down the line, Toco Dova knocks it in, cleared by Jackson. Reagan played again by Yama as a sound has come to Leo. Chew trys to turn out of pressure.

Given away cheaply to Raposo picks the pocket of Chew and the ball gets rolled all the way back to Takiyoka in the Vancouver goal mentioned. Takioka signed FAB twenty twenty three to the J one League with Yokohama four hundred and forty three minutes without consider goal to March and April Or go to Ruy Diaz right inside the box, clips the bat post, it flecks off. Martins goes

to Aladero inside the box, this time on the left hand side. Overlapping run by Vargas, defended well by Vancouver, clips off the heels of Vargas, rolls over for a Vancouver goal. Kick remains Vancouver war sounds nil. Lavante Johnson playing on the left. I'll tell you what, Sartini knows what he's talking about, because he knows what he's doing. He's done a really good job of cutting inside, slipping balls in. He drew the foul on the free kick to get the goal. When he's running at you, he's

powerful, he's quick, he can go left or right. He's having a nice, nice beginning to his first start. The goalscor vesse Lanovitch plays it long well won by Jackson Reagan off the hip Goodova. JP colects the ball middle of the field, comes short to game up. I guess his head up the sun comes. Alex rolled on this near site the right back to Gamo. Sound is a little bit of possession. Now they try to get back into this game, gets flaked by J Peter. Alex rolled on this

near site back to Gamo. Good pressure with good organized pressure from Vancouver. As it comes to Jack's Reagan middle of the field, Brian White almost takes it off the foot of Jackson Ray, but it's Gpu cleans it up as sound as flex Plan is the perfect way to go to the matches you want, with who you want, when you want. Unlock multiple benefits including ticket flexibility, playoff priority. Let's be Vancouver slid in by Alex Roldan goes out

for a goal kick. Unlock multiple benefits including ticket flexibility, playoff priority, and save on fees and up to fifteen percent single match pricing. Learn more at sound asfc dot com slash tickets. I shouldn't listened, Pete to Brian Schmidz from the production meeting. You're talking about going a bit more direct, and I thought our defenders having at the back gave me the time and space to make that call. And lo and behold they go for sixty yards down

the field and almost get in the end of it. Yeah. All this time goes to the fee of Cadova, challenged by Rec Jackson, Reagan, Refree Dickerson. He's a free kick to Vancouver. I like the blend of the long and then playing through the midfield as well and using the width.

I think Seattle's done a good job. It's just that final product. Cho's had a couple of really good opportunity, three good opportunities from the left hand side, Seattle not able to capitalize yet Vancouver swinging the free kicks it's near side. The left of Martins goes back to the middle to the goal score of Vissilanovitch. How to love Border who was assigning in January of twenty twenty three, this time to repost it down the line, but Cadova was the

end line, flicks off the shins of Jackson or Eagle. Will see if the referee is going to give a corner kick. He doesn't. Sister Refree puts his flag up pull on the deck with the sounds that they try to find a way back into this game. Ninety three point three KGr FM. We're BC placed in Vancouver. The sounds down a goal by a flicked header by Vesselanovitch for Ryan go Old free kick on their left hand side. Step Cleveland could do much about it. Cleveland in for the missing Stephen Fry,

who picks up a concussion this week. In practice, the Cleveland's, looking comfortable aside, made a great save from Burholtzer from twenty five yards to stop what would look like a certain goal in the top corner. As our guests plays, the ball hits off the fields of the referee, and with the rules today, the referee is going to call it back. The sound is gonna put the ball in the deck. So we drop ball and we go

again with JP ball at his feet. No rule moving from the sounders up front as they shift it to this near side the right with Yama into the feet of Ladera flicks it to Rui Yes, tries to flick it around the corner. Johnson loose and pass. It's eventually cleared by Laborda Zakiyoka just making sure Johnson understands. Not the best ball to play across your eighteen year our

box. It's his hand up in apologies. It's gonna be the sound as with a throwing twenty yards from the corner flag this near side the right Alex rold Dan balling his hands back from Gold Cup duty, pressed by Bryan Gold, who's had a real stella last few games for Vancouver. Five goals in the last six games, five or five prior to their loss last weekend Sporting KC. But they didn't get on the scoreboard, and there was the first

time in twelve games they didn't at least get one goal. You mentioned and Brian mentioned Vancouver much improved product this year. As the ball goes long down the channel, I must find Alex roll Dan's good run by Alex Heady Cliff by Martin's well and Vancouver with burhold to come away to the feet of Gold flattered into by Yama. It's gonna be a freaking for Vancouver pet viewing some good balls. Some good entry pass is both from Jackson Reagan and all bit

Vargas unlocking players Ruy Diaz and Rusneck have been making some great movements. Rudius coming underneath Albert making a run in behind him, but Covid runs past Vagas with some ease, but Jackson Reagan comes across and outside his teammate. Ball

goes along cushion head. If I look forward to who was new trying to find shoe racing on the left un side its Vancouver rolls the ball out to this knee side the left with Johnson comes back to his right foot, challenged by Ashwell, Dons and Martins wicks it in with his left foot, clicked headed by Brian White, goes over the end line for a goal. Kite remains Vancouver one sound as nil. Yeah, they look very dangerous when they go forward. It's a good ball in White gets a flick onto it,

similar to the goal, just a little bit wide. And I don't know there's much Sealla can do on that. They've got a man right up his backside is in tight they're doing Vancouver is doing a very good job of getting quality balls. In and opportunities. I don't think you can blame as we said, I don't you can't blame Glee one on that goal. It was picture perfect cushion headed by russnect will be a one time side volleyed by J Peeves, mister directed who a Posto picks other pieces pressed by J Pete comes

to the middle too. Burholt is able to take a touch and then swing it all the way to Johnson almost collects it on the run, pressed by Alex roll Don, Johnson, who slidesteps roll Down, goes to the legs of roll Down. Well played by the young man, so the top of the box of Cardover deflects off a combination of Jackson, Reagan and JP rolls over the end line for a Vancouver corner kick. But good break by Vancouver from one side of the field to the other. And it's the young Lavonte

Johnson. It's first start in MLS. It's the better of Alex roll Down, finds Cardover top of the box and a deflection and a cornic kick. Not just a great run from Lavante Johnson and shows his strength and his speed and his composure all in one and sets up a good ball. Ever really did a great job turn in the corner and going to his left and he's dead dominant to the right. Good for him. It's gonna be Ryan Gold again with his left foot in the fast side the Vancouver right in swinging corner

kick runs come in, he goes a little longer. They signed, said Cleveland, just slush the bull, missus. It comes up of the box driven in, good block. Why Rusnack? And again just why the sign was reposed? So but again a chance by Vancouver remains Vancouver one sound as nilt. I think we dodged a bullet right there. There were three good opportunities for Vancouver. We did step up and block a couple of them and then one going why but fried or excuse me? Cleveland just couldn't get to

the one at the back post directly off the corner kick. But a great block from Rusnack, so you'd see it again off the post. Yeah, Cleveland just flapping at the misses it ahead of I think look border off the under the bottom side of the posts. The Sounders were able to escape a good chance for Vancouver to double their lead as they lead here in BC Place one goal to nil. Sounders in possession of the ball right in front of the bench with Yama because he plays the ball to Jackson Reagan. As the

Sounders now trying to find opportunity to test Takioka. We're gonna have two shots on the game so far for the Sounders, as they do dominate possession sixty three percent possession. It's about possession with a purpose. But the Sounders now with lead or two down the left hand side to go past Reposa towards the front post. Cleared well by Vesselanovitch. It's gonna be a Sounders throwing. Not given look like it went out from advantage point, but new plex.

The ball goes off Curdova for a Sounders throwing the fast side. The Sounders left with new it's in quickly to JP so Ladero to JP. Let men behind the ball. For Vancouver, certainly, it's like Vancouver. I'm very happy of not possessing the ball too much, but breaking in transition. Certainly

we've seen that a couple of times. As the ball has gone from center to this near side the left with Johnson with his power and speed, the sound has now built Vargas pressure now a little higher by Vancouver with Brian White.

So if Cleveland rolls it out to Jackson Reagan and the sound is able to break the pressure, find JP middle of the field and the sound is half of the field to Obed Vargas on a good Lord run of games now alongside Hupaolo back to Obed Vargus, pressure from Gold from his blind side, tries to flick it around the corner, gets pushed in the back. It's gonna be a sound as free kick. Pluckyoka has not had nearly the pressure

on him as the Vancouver goalkeeper compared to Stephen Cleveland. Cleveland's had to scramble a little bit, had to go through traffic to get to some balls on restarts, and it's not been an easy first half for him. Roll down the line to Alex Roldon towards the end line, cats that whips it in well and his rue das good saved by Takioka. Just as we mentioned the Takioka's being quiet, it's time he has to go down toys right. A good cross by Alex Roldon, a good snaphead up by Ruy Diaz, but

as saved by Takioka. Well, more of that is what Seattle needs. Rue Das hits it really well. Takioka covers it. Good cross from Alex Roldon. It's Codova. His body's able to wriggle free of Jackson Reagan, Bryan White top of the box challenged the sound isn't it just eludes Codova? But he clicks it in the fast side the right top right corner of the box is shot to repose him. That's to shop for some time and space able to flick it in flick head of a bite Gold and we'll see if

the referee puts his flag up he does. It was a flick by Gold from a cross by shop. They found Brian White on the back post, but Brian White have just just gone offside. It was a good finished by Brian White, good cushion header to the far posts. And we'll see it looks like it maybe came off Knew who was an initial header by Gold that deflects it off Knew who. We'll see referee just holding up play there taking a look. Certainly Knew who looked like he gotta flick on the ball.

The question is did Gold connect with that first header? And with that first header was Brian White offside? And it looks like the replay, it's gonna be tight. It was given us an offside certainly, I don't know if there's enough evidence Pete to turn it over and it's not. The referee gives the free kick for off side again. The sound is breathe another sigh of relief as they trail here one goal to nil. Yeah. I think at this moment Bryan Spencer will be happy to walk out of here with a one

zero deficit, just because when Vancouver comes forward they look very dangerous. To your point, they don't mind sitting behind the ball, and when they get their opportunities they've been quite lethal with it, very very dangerous. Rosneck turns away from pressure to JP. The sound is try and build again, Try to find that equalised gold. Find Ladera midden the field to Leo Chu inside the box, left channel, drives it in. Played well by Vancouver.

It was ruined yes, coming into the back post, yet wide open goal, but taken off his toe by Martins. As Vancouver now in transition, but Dova comes away from pressure minds. Burholt plays it square to Roposo, who knocks it down the lines get a roll out of bounds over the end

line. For a goal kick for the Sounders. But this copyrighted audiocasts of Major League Soccer may not be retransmitted, reproduced, or rebroadcast without the express written consent of Major League Soccer, as it remains here at BC Place, Vancouver one, Sounders nil, and this score update is presented by Providence Swedish. But Pete. We get into the fortieth minute here, Bryan Schwetzer an important halftime team talk coming up. What's his message gonna be to his team

as he gathers him in a half. I think he'll be encouraged by what we just saw there and what we hopefully see right now. Alice roll down down the right hand side, Martin's comes out to close top of the box. JP finds roll down against flints at this time the middle of the box clid well by Laborder and he heads it so Gold Who's got some time and

space. He's gonna look for Cordover through the middle. Good touched by Cordover, wriggles free of new Newer, Jackson, Reagan come across, challenged by new who's roll out bounds comes off the toe of Cordova put the assistant referee on the fast side. It's gonna be a throwing for the Sounds. It's great defending from both Reagan and Knew, who very strong. It's a great counterattack for Vancouver four on three, three on four. Excuse me, they

look dangerous when they come forward. Brian's halftime talk will be more of the same. From the crossing that Martin's came back on that last one, choose cross. Martins went to the carpet a little bit ahead of Rovald but it was close. Probably the best chance that has to be encouraging for the coach and the team. Als roll don this this side the right comes to JP in the middle, finds Rusneck, Rudy Diaz coming deep to get involved in

the game. As Brian Schevitza said, that's when he knows the team is not feeding Rude Diaz. But it's true. This time of side steps Laborda towards the end line, de plays off Rapost. So it's going to be a corner kick for the Sounds. As we are here in the forty first minute, Sounds trailing one gold to nil. The back of a head a bite Vesselanovitch and the Sounders they're oh four and oh. When training at halftime. So certainly from a statistics downpoint, the Sounders have to find a goal

and equalizing goal here, and it's gonna be Ladero. Arm up in the air, outswinging corner kick, left foot comes club box cleared well by Vancouver, so Je could strike only deflected and parried down by Takioka. Thrue Diez goes into challenge on the deck, still holding a combination with foot in his face. It's gonna be a corner kick for the Sounders this time on this near side the right. Thrue Diaz remains down on the deck. Was all of us sound as fans are taking a breath. It's like there was a

challenge to his uncle. If we see the replay was parried down by Takiyoko. Was Laporta who came in strong. We'll see if the referee takes a look at this he atom watching the replay. I don't think it was intentional that he got him. That was a ball that we love to see Jp get edge of the box, take a touch, smash it Tako right unfortunately right to him. It's gonna be Jp with his right foot this sun this nearside, the right, outswinging corner kick all the big men up for the

Sounders. Jackson Reagan knew who on the pacase. But we'll see if the referee he's taking a little look. It's not he's gonna allow the corner kick to go. A couple of discussions with Ruy Diz and Joe Dickerson, but it's gonna be JP who's gonna swing it in and then clear bouncing in the box. It's ruy Diaz. Is he gonna be off an on this? Calls from the Sounders and we're gonna see the referee is just pushing the Sounders

away. We'll see if we get a replay here on our board. It was a shop mount seventeen yards just inside the box by ruy Diaz after it was a deflected clearance by Vancouver. It comes in and we'll see if it's ball to hand or hand to ball. Certainly his arms out is the left hand of bur Halter. Certainly it's right. Then it's another we see Martin's as well. We'll see which one the referee cause it's the initial shot from rut Diaz. It's sold about is it a natural or an unnatural position?

As the arm comes out to the side and I think anytime with the rules today, if it's out to the side, Pete, you correct me if I'm wrong here, it's considered an unnatural position versus down on your side. Yeah. Yeah, this is why the referee is taking a good hard look. Yeah, I mean it was. It was lightning quick. I don't think burr Halter extended his arm to knock the ball down. I think he

was trying to pull his arm in, but his arm was extended. And then moments after that, seconds after that, Martin also knocked the ball down with his hand. So it will be interesting to see what the referee comes up with on this. Sounders immediately went running to him. Vancouver was a little late getting there trying to say, hey, it was not intentional. I could see a Bentley on this. Danny. Yeah, I agree, Pete. I think certainly with that first one it was no throwing given by

the referee. I guess does their job. They did dig a look my Sounder standpoint here. The wrong decision to be a throne for the Sounders. It's near side the right with Alex roll darn twenty five yards from the corner flight. The head coach Vancouver subteny outside of his technical area, encouraging his team to defend these last few minutes to get into the forty fifth minute here,

but BC plays Sounders trailing one Goldson Hill against the white Caps. All goes to the feet of Vargas, back to Alex roll Darch has to flicking around the corner. Johnson challenged it, asking for for throwing. It's not. It's gonna be Sounders again. Sam thrown all the way across the box patially here by Laborder finds the feet of Leo Chu comes inside Riggole's feet, tries to flick it around the corner to Rudy has cleared by Vancouver. Flicked

around the corner by by Brian White, an extra mile stoppage time. It's gonna be three minutes. Let's see if the Sounders can find that equalizing goal. I like the urgency they've played with in the last five to ten well, certainly off the back of a Houston when the pool comes in is by Vargas tries to find the slashing run of Christian Roldan one by Ladera for a

moment clayed eventually by Vancouver launched it all the way up the field. As you mentioned, Pete only one just three of the last twelve, but only one loss in the last five ties against Portland, Charlotte, Orlando, mixing him with the wind against Houston. The loss against LAFC, which you why played the first minute if Bogus got that goal in the fifty third second sounds dominates a large portions of that game as well. Down in la As the

ball goes down the line to Leo Choo towards the end line. No real pressure from look border. She was able to settle it, tries to flick it in agains. It flicks up in the air cliff by Vancouver off the head of his Slanovitch finds Jpe to Rusnak middle of the field, comes across to Ope Vargas, thirty five yards from goals center. The field swings it Outfit's near side, the right cut in by Alex roldn plays today. It comes off the heel of Rusnak. It's gonna go high and wide. It's

gonna be a goal kick for Vancouver. Remains Vancouver one sound as nil Pefuan Sartini would be thrilled to get out of here with the one zero. Seattle's put a lot of pressure on him, and there's been better quality, good urgency, good numbers inside the box. Just got to get a reward from an alex ro Dunn does a good job against Lavante Johnson cutting it back with his left Rusnak does a little bit of a back heel trying to get it on frame. This is before your time in the United States, Bok.

But cabanias hit one those with the New York Cosmos that if you were an NASL fan, everyone still remembers that from forty years ago. The ball goes along by Tekioka, eventually finds the foot of Shops and then ropos to the fast side the right. Challenge by new who comes inside to burhol to flix it around the corner, tries to find this fellow central midfield player, but

goes down to deck wins it again. The Posto swings it into Codoba to Brian White top the box to Gold flicks it to this near side the left left corner the box to Johnson, tries to flick it in headed clear by Jackson, Reaga to Roposto click the ball flicks it then send to the six yard box. It's gonna go over the top. We'll see if the referee you Eathery called a free kick for the sound is either way, it's on

the deck inside the six yard box and the Sounders go again. As we enter the last few seconds of this first half, the Sounds to have it in possession with Jao Paulo. You have to say, every time Vancouver comes forward, they look very very dangerous. If they can choose their time, they get numbers forward. I like them when they're on the attack. Well, thirty four percent possession in the first off Vancouver, but they lead here one goal to nil at BC Place off a twenty fourth minute header by bess

Illanovitch but assist by Ryan Gould. Pete. Your final thoughts, Yeah, I think that's the plan is to sit back, let the Seattle have the ball, let them play in the middle of the park, try to stop Seattle from getting the crosses in. But it's working for Vancouver and Seattle. Again, we've said it kind of over and over. They've created chances. That's very good news. They've just got to put one of them away. Well, we'll take a short break, Jackson Felt and the team. We'll

be back to break it all down at halftime. Here at BC place in Vancouver, BC is the white Caps one the Sounders nail. So let's take a look and see how the Sounders got down by his score of one nothing here at the half third minute, we

saw Stephen Cleveland gain some confidence. In case you're just joining Stephen Cleveland getting the start tonight and goal because Stephen Fry suffered a concussion in training this week, so Stephen Cleveland on short notice gets the call he is starting. He has a big punch in the third minute, a nice confidence boosting guy moment that certainly I think raised that throughout this first forty five minutes he will get

to big play from him in just a moment. Seventeenth minutes, you see some Sounders movement on the offense and then no goals, but we saw some good movement to Albert Russnack crossed to Ladaro header is saved. But then in the nineteenth minute Vancouver attacking. Stephen Cleveland had to come up big and he

did, diving to his left. Here's what happened. Hold on to the top of the bulls, dangerous, the bell strikes and what to say, what a save by Steph Cleveland. It was a fantastic strike from out twenty five yards by all and it was an even bets a saved by Steph Cleveland. He just takes that left hand Knoxanova for a corner kick remains nil nil an absolutely epic saved by Stephen Cleveland to keep this thing zero zero there in

the nineteenth minutes. But then in the twenty fourth minute, Lavonte Johnson earned a free kick coming off of his left wing spot Ryan Gold crosses to Vesselanovic. He heads it past step In Cleveland and a one nothing lead for the Vancouver Whitecaps in the twenty fourth minute. Later on, in the thirty seventh minute, we saw Alex Roldan start to get forward. He's back from El

Salvador and Gold Cup duty with the international side El Salvador. He had a cross ter ole header that was saved a nearly point blank range by Takahaka there for Vancouver. That was in the thirty seventh minute. Forty second minute. We saw a wild series there that you just heard there from Danny Jackson and Pete viewing JP Joel Paulo. He had a shot from distance saved. The ensuing corner was then hit by Raoul from a little bit about fifteen yards out.

It hit Sebastian burr Halter in the bottom of a bent shoulder. No handball called when it went to var No handball Sounders thought, and we all thought here that that should have been a penalty kick for Seattle. It will hit a very clear part of his bent arm. Well, no penalty and the Sounders do not get a goal. Do not get a penalty? Shout it is one nothing here. We will take a break. We'll come back

Sounder is currently down to the Whitecaps by a score of one nothing. Let's take a look at the Sounder's bench really quick. Before we do, I will tell you that this copyrighted audiocast of Major League Soccer may not be retrained, admitted to reproduce or

reese broadcast without the express written consent of Major League Soccer. So the Sounders currently getting Alex Rodn back from international duty from El Salvador. That means that Cody Baker is on the Sounders bench. He is a fullback option. Freddy Montero a Bear, Reid Baker Whiting, Andrew Thomas, Josh Atensio, a Bisasko, and Dylan Tevez should also mention in case you're just joining us,

Stephan Cleveland starting the game tonight due to a concussion to Stephen Fry. That's also why Andrew Thomas makes the Sounders bench here tonight, and really for you know, a simple key it's you gotta score. You gotta get a result. You know, a loss in Vancouver after you lost a month and a half ago here in a two nothing game. You cannot lose here two times in a year. This is a team the Sounders of historically dominated in MLS. Play has not been the case as of late, and Vancouver is only

getting more and more confidence while playing the Sounders. They beat him earlier this year has been mentioned. And you know, looking at this game right here, you can't go over two in this building. I would say, even right now, just a point is a good result. Any road point really, you know, for the most part is a good result. Gotta score, which means you gotta get some movement going, Gotta have Nikos stay on

the right, have some good combination play with Alex Roldan. You gotta get Albert Russknack involved with that, get him over on the left side to give Leo Chew an outlet to pass two. Sometimes Cho has been down on the left side and he has had nobody to send it into other than role Ruy Diaz. And at the end of the day, I mean Rool is not the fastest forward in the world. So I think you got to come up with some good combination playing the final third between all those attacking players and find

a goal. That's the bottom line here well. Sounders FC Soccer is presented by Providence Swedish, the official healthcare partner of Sounders FC. Second Half with Danny Jackson and Pete Fewing. Welcome back to a BC Place in Vancouver, Vancouver White Cups leading one goal to note the half as the Sounders get set up to go and kick off for the second half, trailing by goal in the twenty fourth minute by Vassilanovitch. She was an in swinging free kick from Ryan Gold, the playmaker for Vancouver number twenty five, was able to play that ball in Vassilanovitch she

caught in front of nuw who flicked it to that far corner. Didn't give stepleting the chances Rudy has gets us going for this second half as a Sounders attacking the gold to our left, decked out in there Bruce Lee away Kid red shirts, black shorts and black socks. Vancouver attacking the goal to our right in their traditional white shirts with a navy blue stripe through the middle. Navy blue shorts and white socks. No changes for Brian Schmitzer at the half.

As the ball comes from to Visselanovitch to Raposa, played well by Jackson Reagan pressed quickly by Vancouver as they nicked the ball off Rosneck. But the sound has build again through the back and let's give you that Sounders lineup as we mentioned, no change stef Cleveland and goal, the back four of Alex Roldan, Yemar, Reagan and knew Who Jao Paolo alongside Open Vargas in the middle, an attacking three of Ladero, Rosneck and the ten lee or two

on the left and Raoul Rudyaz up front as the number nine. As the ball gets launched forward by Takioka in the Vancouver goal, Martin's on the left side, Vancouver playing in a three manned back system today. As the ball gets knocked down the line to Johnson, who's been marauding his first start, tries to go around Yama Yema uses all that experience and Justin gets his body between ball and player, goes out free Sounders throwing on the fire side.

The Sounders right with Alex Roldan lad into Open Vargas. The feet of rold Rudiez challenged well by Vassilanovitch. The goal scorers you mentioned have a half challenged by Nu eventually finds defeat of Laborda, tries to find Cordova at Jackson Ragas.

Let's give you that lineup for Vancouver Techyokuing Gola, back three of Laborda, Vassilanovitch, the goal scorer, Martin's midfield four Roposo shop Burholter and the debutant for his first MLS start, Lavonte Johnson on the left hand side, Cordova and Gold as the attacking midfield players, and then Brian White up front as their number nine as the Sounders build out the back and we got to throw it down to Michelle who got a chance to speak to Brian Schemetz to

coming out at half time. Yes, thank you, Danny. He said that overall he was happy with the Sounder's performance in the first half, that besides that one set piece, which was a great ball, He's like Vancouver hasn't had anything else. In fact, they're just dangerous, very dangerous on set pieces, he said. As for the Sounds making changes, he said Leo has to pick better passes across the board. They need to execute better

for the final product, he said. The main tactical changes that they're going to be making in the second half, there's the sound is pick it up a free kick. The sound is an early yellow card on ral Ruy Diaz. It looked like it was a stump down on the hole too. We'll see as they get up. But Michelle is the free kick, get set. We'll throw it back down to you to finish your thought. Thank you.

Yes. The tactical changes that they will be making mostly this second half is they addressed how to better prepare for those set pieces and how to line up to really kind of limit the dangerous there. But he said. Brian Schmitzer said that the main message was don't lose their structure, keep doing what they're doing, and again focus on the execution of the final product. Thanks Michelle and Pete. We talked about the first few minutes of the first half.

Fellow a little labor in some ways. You know, we saw Vancouver walking to that first corner kick at home. The crowd didn't seem too much into it's been a little quiet inside. BC plays, great venue to play, it's a little quiet. Sounds need to find that energy somehow because they have to find that equalising goal quickly to get back in this game. Yeah, sometimes you play to the level of your opponent, and Seattle cannot afford

to do that with a one goal deficit. And I think it's been Vancouver's game plan come out, not so much to delay, but just make sure that you get through all eleven of the Seattle players and then when opportunities arise, make sure that you get yourself forward. You know, White has been really good up front, or Halter has been good. Goal has been good.

When Vancouver goes forward, they go forward with purpose and they look dangerous sounds pick it up fast side the right with Alex hold Don has been a welcome return for Alex on that right back spot. Going involved in the right inside JP, top of the box, runs in the box, challenged a couple of times, big goals free laugh foot Just why it was Jp.

He received the ball in the right hand side, drove forward, just wriggled clear of a couple of challenges from Vancouver, got inside the box, wasn't able to get his shot on target, goes wide of the left hand post of Takioka's goal. Great skill by gp as we see a replay head in his hands. Disappointed with the finish, remains Vancouver warrant sound as nil.

Yeah. Another really good chance from JP goes through about four defenders and then cuts the ball in unfortunely just goes a little wide called over top of the box. Top right corner of the box, goes square to Shop that gets involved in that central midfield position. Shrugged up the ball by Vargas, it finds the hands of Steph Cleveland and goals. Who mentioned Steph Cleveland getting his first MLS start of the season's twenty sixth game in MLS. Remember those that

game back in Austin when he made seven saves through it. He had been called into action a couple of times today the Vancouver one particular shot from Burholt from twenty five yards a wonderful save by Steff to knock it over the top as the ball gets launched along by Takioka in the Vancouver goal one well by

Jackson, Regano Brian wipe of gold very much by the first. I was able to pick up these loose balls and find some space in the middle of the field, rolls it out to this nearside the right to Roposo ten yards from the end line, comes back to Gold head up. No real pressure of him JP. Too easy to deliver that ball. It's flick clear. There's gonna be a corner kick off the head of Yama on the fast side of Vancouver left. It's a good ball in from Gold, cuts it back

to his left foot, bends it in. Put Seattle under some serious pressure. I think Jackson Felt called him the MESSI the Scottish MESSI right, yeah, he likes that ball in his left foot and he's quick with the trigger. I call I call my my ten year old Charlie the issaqua Messi. He's a little left footer as well. He is. I saw him in the parking lot today kicking the ball with them that it's good. Yeah, there's a qual Messi's you build out right, you build out, then maybe

Belleville will start local. Yeah, win your neighborhood. Exactly in Vancouver. With the ball on the corner, stick fast side there left in swinging corner kick the right foot of Raposa arm up in the air, comes in low and short the top corner of the box. Flicked the flex off new who challenged the ball. There's vessel Lanovitch tries to flick the ball, New was able to challenge, comes off the chest of News. Gonna be another corner kick, same side for Vancouver. Roposa picks it up, puts it back

down. Ryan Gold in support about five yards or so away, standing on the sideline. Leo Chu there to help. Ball comes in flicked by gaymart towards the bat post. It's gonna roll all the way across for another corner kick. Third corner kick in a row for Vancouver. They're very dangerous. They put a lot of pressure on the ball. They come to the ball. If they're not getting a flick on it, they're hitting the Seattle player

who is getting a flick on it. As we just saw now going out for another corner kick, this time the Scottish messi hitting it from the right end side. Yep, because Ryan Gold with his left foot giving in swinging corner kick. Seventh corner kick on the game for Vancouver. Arm up in the air. The ball comes in longer this time to the fast side. It's going to bounce two, three, four times over the end line for a Sounders Gold kick remains Vancouver one, Sounders nil. Here in the fifty

third minute. BC placed ninety three point three KGr FM. This Cascadia Cub match the Sounders sitting bottom of the Cascadia table right now with one point after the soul tie with Portland just a few weeks ago, and Vancouver sitting a point behind Portland Vancouver was six point was seven. They get a win tonight, looks on top of the Cascadia standings. Vancouver come to Seattle one time this season. It's the second game in Vancouver back in mid May. It's

a tuna will win for Vancouver. The goals. This ball gets launched with

Reagan towards the end line. Alex Roldan comes away from pressure for Martins wriggles free flex The ball goes back to Obed Vargas thirty yards from goal to JP slides the ball until Ladera wriggles free of Johnson knocks it back to JP, who goes to Alex Rolldan got some time and space because towards his left foot, top corner of the box was all the way over the head of Rudeyas and the backside of the goal, who goes over the end line for a

goal kick remains Vancouver one sound as nil Alex Roldan puts his hand up. He went too far on that. It's great to see five red shirts inside the Vancouver box. I'm just gonna make sure that we five one of those red shirts. That one went a little bit deep. Good combinations, good build up, good movement of the ball. For Seattle, it's got to get something out of it. Someone has to make a play, right You hear that in every sport, somebody's got to make a play. And that's

what Seattle needs right now. Someone's got to step up. The ball gets launched, long, goes over Jackson Reagan didn't deal with the ball in the air. It bounced a couple of times and the ball don line from Roposo

and it was shop was coming from an offside position. Let the ball go and the sound is now built from the back with JP middle of the sound as half of the field rolls it out for the far side of the right first time by Alex roll Dan so looked there or challenged by Vancouver quickly is they set up their line of confrontation ten yards inside the sound is half of

the field. But the ball comes out to new this near side, rolls it into russneck left channel pressure by shoff back to Knew, who little ball inside to open Vargas no real pressure on the ball, is able to turn get his head up, finds Knew, who again balls it on his left

side for the Sounders. Was New this time drives forward. It's a strong ball into the feet of Ladera. Tried to flick it down the middle of the field for a running Rude Yaz, but it's going to be collected by Taki Yoka in the Vancouver goal, who throws it out to Martin's who launches it long, driven past. It's going to elude both Brian White and Johnson. It's gonna find Steph Cleveland and the Sounders goal decked out in all yellow tonight as he rolls the ball to GP. Sounders did it more moving in

the attacking tho of the field. Few more options for the midfield players to find the feat The ball goes down the line to Courdver has been a real threat in those channel positions. Big strong player as you mentioned, came in the off season to Vancouver. Was the DP not scored a goal in over six hundred and fifty minutes so far, so I'm sure for Vancouver getting a dep spot not scoring goal in the season. It's a bit of a surprise,

but by all accounts he's playing really well. As he lays the ball out to rapos So it's near side the right, five yards from the corner flag. That just shot he's able to turn all a bit of pressure from JP rolls all the way back to the back three for Vancouver build again the fast side of the left. It that finds gold who's been really lively as he was in the first game here in May. Five different players played in

that to no loss. Back in May, Montero started, Oriaga started, Tensio started Morris and I'll check that because Alex Roldan is on the field tonight, who was gonna be my fifth? So a slight tweaking lineup for the Sounders, but certainly strengthened numbers for the Sounders in the starting lineup. Can they find that equalizing goals. The ball finds open of Vargus the middle of the field. Quick pressure from Vancouver Sounders building Vancouver seemed Pete very comfortable just

holding their line. Sound does not penetrate to any of these passes, and she finds Ladero is able to wriggle free Ruidiaz. This time the sounds going with a bit more pace and pressure fast side the right comes to the sense of thirty five yards from Gold middle of the field. Vargas into Russneck. Top of the box comes it's near side the left, left corner. It's Leo Chu wond be one posted towards the end life flix it there's a cross

shot, deflects it over for a corner. Kick remains Vancouver one sounds nail people. Yeah, very dangerous from Chew there. I think you're right, Danny. I think Vancouver is very comfortable just getting the numbers behind the ball, letting Seattle get as many passes as they've been getting. Cho does a really good job of taking his defender on and smashing across the box. We'll go short to Alex Roldon, back to Ladero. He's able to whip it

in. It's gonna go long to the far post. The five foot eleventh frame of Techioko can do nothing more than just punch it out. Rudiez picks up the pieces, comes inside to JP, plays it square to Alex Roldon. Oh, but August center of the park. Back to JP. Launch it digly all the way to the fast side to Jackson Reagan cushion header to Ladera. Pressure from Gold quickly like a foul he is. Referee calls it the right channel for the sound of thirty five yards from the end line.

Ladaro is gonna set it up. Yeah, good playing, good ball back from Jackson Reagan, Ladera switching it to this near side the left of Leo Chew. Big men still in the box too. Choo has a double team by both Johnson and Shop that comes back to JP. Sound has had a chance to deliver the ball in the box and decide not to this obvious Leo Chwo in the box were both from Ladero. Challenge well by Vancouver Vesselanovitch.

There's to be a Sounders corner kick. Good little combination between JP and Niko Ladero third man running Chew, good opportunity, good defending from from Vancouver. But I'd like to see those two combining JP and Niko's six corner kicks. The sound of out swing corner kicks ahead on it and it's it's Leo cho It's a delivery from Ladero. It was an initial flick from Jackson Reagan and it doesn't matter if it's pretty. It still counts. And it's a goal

for Leo Chew. He's a second goal in the season. What an important goal for the Sound is to tie it up here in Vancouver, it's the white Caps one. The Sound is won. That's a great ball in corner, comes back right into Jackson Reagan. It's a good head on the ball. Leo Chew just reacts tucks it right inside the post. It's a reaction goal. You're right, it doesn't have to be pretty. Jackson does to Vancouver what Vancouver did. The Seattle gets to the ball first and now we

got some life. You can see the entire bench erupting and there's a lot of relief now Seattle. You know, I think I think Vancouver was happy with one zero and they were happy to try to just kill the clock. Now the game has been lit up again. Well, if there's one thing for Leo Chiw, he's certainly opened up his accounts this year and certainly made huge steps forward in terms of his contributions on the field. It assists on

the year. There's one little marking next to his name. It's like, can he get some more goals and tonight, he does find his second goal of the season, his first goal coming at La Galaxy back in very early of April, but assists last week on Rosneck and a Gold tonight as the ball finds Leo Chio again, this time he's got a lost spring in his step, finds Ruy Diaz in the box just to lose his right foot.

It's going to roll over and Martine is able to get in front of Ruy Diaz, clears the ball down the line to Johnson, knocks it down to Gold. Gold's got some time and space. Chased by Obert Vargas, the ball goes in behind both Jackson, Reagan and the year Markeet tangled up. No foul given, but the Sounders now come away with it. At the of JP, things just got notche not ratchet it up a little bit for

both teams. The defending from Jackson, Reagan and Gomez Andrada. Leo Chu won be one vessel A border whip set in well blow on the need to six yard box cleared by Vesselanovitch. One needs to JP, so Ladera finds Leo Chu again. Left side of the box comes into Ladera tries to find the slashing run of his number ten. It louds the left foot of Ladera and this time Vancouver do what they do well, transition quickly with gold.

The left side comes back to this near side, the rights of Kudova challenged by Nu who comes off what we look like the thigh of Kudova from our vantage point head in the hands of Knew who Ludova gets it again. Sounds need to get along, get on with it. The shop builds it out but Sound as FC socket is presented by Provident, Swedish official healthcare parder of Sound as FC. It feels like Leo Chi starting to get into a really

good rhythm and that goal gives them lots of confidence. Johnson towards the back post, head of by Cordova. Clash of heads by Cordova and JP on the backside. It was a cross from Lavonte. Johnson alloted pressure again by Alex Roldan being a real handful. Sammy goes all the way to the back post. There's a clash of heads and we'll see if the back of JP's head in front of Cordova's head. It's a good play again by Johnson.

The left side of the week left foot comes in as good challenge by JP and he was the forehead of Cordova's clash with the back of JP's head. Those can be really nasty. Yeah, that's not good, Danny. When we had Lavonte Johnson we played in the NCAA tournament against Portland. We ended up losing three to one. I think the UDUB coach said we did not have an answer for Lavante Johnson. And you're seeing her right there. The sounder see he's able to change his pace. Reminds me a little bit of

Steve Zakawane. Different body shape, but he's just drawing the ball across his body. It's a good cross right there. He's getting more confident as the game goes on, and I can see him being in his starting lineup more and more. But he is a big time handful. Well, the doctors are out there taking a look. We'll see doctor Morris out there with the Vancouver medical staff taking a good long look. JP sef Brunch has forced to

a couple of changes, but we see a replay at the goal. He was a flake by Jackson Reagan and he was a really good instinctual instinctive finished by Leo Chu with his right foot just finds the side netting inside Takioka's right hand post needle in luck sometimes, don't you right? Jackson really into the right thing, not to the ball, choosing the right spot for this copyrighted audio cast of Major League Soccer may not be retransmitted, reproduced, or rebroadcast

without the express written consent of Major League Soccer. As we get here in the sixty fifth minute BC place, it's Vancouver one, Sounders one off the back of a Leo Chu sixtieth minute goal assists from the corner of Ladero the flickheader from Jackson Reagan and Jackson Reagan gets his second assist on the season,

second assist for his MLS and Sounder's career. As we mentioned, Leo Chu with eight cists on the year, and that was his second goal after his curved right footage shot way back in early April down in La Doctor Morris, I think we get a little bit of some blood there. As JP came off. He had a towel on his head and looks like they're trying to stitch him up right now. Yeah, put a big bandage. We've seen that a few times. We'll see if he has to look at things,

Pete. He's wearing a red shirt, so yeah, maybe you don't have to change their shirt color. And actually yeah, and you can see the staples they're stapling him up. Yeah yeah. I don't think Michelle Luka likes that looking down and seeing her and she's not happy. Yeah, yeah, I don't think it's a you know, a stapler firm office depot. No, probably something a little bit more sophisticated, let's hope. So, let's hope. So you never know. MLS budgets a lot bigger and better than

they were when I first joined the league in two thousand and two. The ball gets shifted to the far side of the left with again Johnson time of space burns past Alex rolled down towards the end like cuts, it back cleared by Yama. So like Johnson has been a handful on his MLS. His first MLS start for Vancouver, his first MLS start when his career signed in June thirtieth of twenty twenty three, so just a couple of weeks ago. He was a twenty ninth pick for Vancouver and second round pick, and he

looks to me to be really comfortable in that role. And playing to his best use right going out people, creating some space and then his tracking back as all our Christian rolled on. When he would lose the ball as a young player, he did everything it could to get back as quick as possible. Well, there's some certain some action, more so with the medical staff on those Sounds benchually looked down. JP back on the field, looks to

be in decent shape, looking to receive the ball so well. Two two banged up as the ball gets shifted from Jack Suak to the fast side to write with Alex Roldan thirty yards from the end. Likene comes inside, this time to JP, clicks it with his left foot, plays it out to Ladero as he rolls. The bat is near side the left left corner of the box with Leo chow overlapping run by Ladero comes in headed clear. Ladera

picks up the pieces, clips to Leo. Two, still inside the box five yards from the end line, tries to flick it around the corner, eventually clear by Raposo. But it's gonna be Yamo, It's gonna do a cushion inside of the football to knew were played by the Sounders. They continue to put pressure on the attacking third. Sounders look a little bit sharper, quicker ball movement, a little more urgency, a little more confident. You

have sixty six percent possessions still for the Sounders against Vancouver's thirty four. You mentioned Vancouver seemed very comfortable late in the away team have the balls passion to Sounders lead most statistics is regarding passes, accurate passes, forward zone passes, and total passes all season in MLS. Double the amount of passes in the first half compared to Vancouver, and they continue that streak in the second half.

The ball finds Ladero thirty yards. We got the middle of the field to rout the s back to Ladero, out to Leo Choos inside the left little one B one and to the box, flicks it in eludes rude. They as played well by Vancouver. But again the Sounders pick up that clearance and that loose ball that's Ladair on the left channel can't elude la border at the front post. But it's Gp thirty five yards from gold. Middle of the field got options to his right, goes to his right to Yaymar so

Vargus had a chance to go forward. Rusneck throwing his hands up in the air once oh beet to try and look forward, goes back, but this time it's news to Ladea right in front the Sounders bench inside to Leo Chu inside for his left wing position to Rusneck top of the box. Pressure quickly from Martin's Sounds, maintaining good possession here in the attacking third of the field.

Try to find that second goal here at BC Place's Vancouver ten men behind the ball, Brian White the only loan player inside the center circle, occupying Jackson Regan. Jackson Regan come to well to be in a one B one spot with him because Alex Roldan now receives it far side the right, advancing his right back spot, goes down the lines opened Vargas in support towards the end line back to Alex Waldon. He saves it from going over the end

line and the Sound has maintained possession. Come out of pressure and find Yamo comes into the middle to Jackson Reagan short to JP back to Jackson Peter Sound has looked come from possession, but trying to find that opening. Vancouver Sofa holding their ground. Yeah, Vancouver's pretty much at five four one and then getting numbers. Another one behind the ball, taking a very difficult Seattle's probing, keeping possession of the ball, moving it quickly. They're doing everything they

can. Vancouver's doing a great job. Defendant pulled down the lines to Rosnack got from the space. He entered the box, top of the box nineteen yards out, strikes the left foot, just white. It was good patient possession for the Sounders as it went down the left hand side, then the right hand side. Eventually found Rosnek in the channel. He came in on

his left foot, slashed it wide of Takioka's right hand post. It's gonna be a goal keep for the sound for Vancouver remains Vancouver one, Sounders one here in the seventy first minute. Yeah, that was terrific. Good probing. You're trying to find an opening. Rosenact getting the ball coming across the box, hitting that strike. I think Nicole Lado wanted the ball. But if if if Rosnack wants to dig that shot, he's got the ability and it's good that he's taking it, so that gets him engaged as well.

Well. A couple of change of pedro Viti is gonna come on for Cordova for Vancouver, it's gonna be blackman who's gonna come on the field, or a defensive player. We'll see if they shift formation to board at four of the back now as a repost of the wingback. The right wingback's gonna come on. It's like they aren't going to shift to more of a potential four in the back. We'll see if Laboard is gonna play and this goal does the chance and he scores out of nothing, bright schmats off the bench just

can't believe off the three stock off those two substitutions. The sound as fell asleep. The ball went over the top and he was Ryan Gold for his saketh goal in the last seven games for Vancouver, put the white Caps ahead

Vancouver two sound as one. That's a demoralizing goal. It's reminded me of that Jackson Reagan free kick up and over the top, just to launch a long ball right down the middle, clinical finish, little flick on header through splits the defenders Stephane Cleveland no chance whatsoever, and I think we'll go back

to seeing a very defensive minded Vancouver white Caps. Well, the sound has certainly looked like they had the bit between that teeth after that equalizing goal by Chow, majority of possession, but as Vancou done so well in this game tonight, don't care about having possession of the ball thirty four percent possession. They've certainly peppered Steph Cleveland's goal and just like the first goal, not much Stephen Cleveland could do with that when it was a good camp finished by Gold

coming into this game tonight. Four of the goals that Gold has scored have been are the tying goals towards the end of the game or winning goals. The ball goes into rude yas inside the boxings are touched a little bit loose touch. Let's Lenovitch's able to come along. Slide tackle clears the ball for

the Sounders. Now have it three yards from the corner flag. There's nearside the left pressure from Laborda goes into JP inside the box clear by Blackman finds LEO two inside the box about given by the referee on Ladero on shop inside the box. If you're get in the seventy fourth minute here at BC plays ninety three point three KGr FM. It's Vancouver two sound as one. We're saying we're so sorry you you you met your comment, but you just saw

the goal. It's just a ball straight from the goalkeeper, straight up the middle, a little flick on two passes, one touch pass touch goal be much of the game so far, people, Vancouver just sitting back happy to its all pressure and then they hit the Sounders on the brake. And then in the league. Now in this day and age, you know you you turn off for just a split second, you just loose punish a tration,

you get punished. But your players like Gold, as you mentioned, really solid season so far for Gold. Five goals on the season, four assists from the back of an eight goal nine assist season last year. Is knew who goes down found given by the referee. Sounds want to get going quickly, which ap so look there are pressure quickly from shop It says to be another foul full of referee had called the whistle, but there went down the ball, grabbed it with his hands, but the referee did give the free

kick. As the sound is now getting a bit of pressure from Vancouver's old name out can do You might knock it long, but it's blackman who's sloppy in possession, pulls rue Das backs an obvious yellow card from the substitute its quiet via trade in twenty twenty two, formerly with LAFC hundred plus games in MLS to Lord Rusty coming off the bench route Das is able to turn quickly get away from pressure. Blackman pulls him down, but Pete winning two.

One of those are the fouls that the coaching stuff want to see. Yeah, no question, you got Rui Das running right at your last defender and now they get numbers behind the ball. It's as smart as you say. He's got a hundred plus games here in MLS and this is of a difficult one and that it's about forty yards thirty five yards out. Bull comes in with bull comes across and it's again it's a Jackson Reagan Leo Chow combination.

This time delivery again from Lado find Jackson Reagan. This time he was on the fast site to write. It was a header across the goal and he was Leo two with his second goal on the night, his third goal in the season, and he ties it up here in BC Place, Vancouver two Sounders two. Well hats off because that's not an easy re start. Super organized from the Seattle Sounders a little touch, Nicol Ladaro finds Jackson Reagan at the back post, knew Who does his job getting right through the box and

open it up. And then good for Leo Chio to get to the back post to get his toe on the ball and put it in. Two goals. Good for him. What really well executed restart from the sound as Brian will have to be incredibly pleased with that. Good just a really really good restart, very well organized, perfectly executed. All to play for now yep, Baul comes in with won't say. Johnson tries to wriggle free find the

bolts on the box, but cut out by Ladero. The sound is now little pepiness step back in this game tying goal from Leo Choo is the same combination of three players Ladero delivery, Jackson Reagan with his head and Leo Choo coming in on the blind side to knock it in. The Sound is now in possession in Vancouver half the field is near side the left with new Who back to Jackson Reagan at fault somewhat for that second goal, but it's made

amends with two assists on Leo Choose. Two goals. You know we've seen Jackson Reagan get better and better, and now he's contributing on the offensive side in a great way. Bolt to the right hand side for the marauding Alex Roldon eight yards from the end line, tries to drive it in. It comes off the heel of Martin's It's gonna be a Sounders thrown. I like the idea Alex Strand to cut back right there. He's got Rusnick trailing in

behind Ruy Diaz. That's how they got a goal Rusnick's last goal against Houston. Alex Roldon hands on his hips just to figure out throw to play. Eventually goes the feat of Rusneck JP and support Alex Roldon. Pressure from Vancouver's they both flicks off Alex Roldon. But sound As fans of sound as FC scores anytime after the eighteenth minute during a home match, you'll have the chance to win free lasic surgery from Sharp Vision, Modern lasic and lens sign up

It's Vancouver two Sounders two hear at BC Place Vancouver pick up a free kick middle of the field. La Darrow shaking his head as he walks away. Nico got a yellow card on that one. It was shot for came in It was Leo Ladaro. Sorry, he's coming back to try and helps clips the heels of Shop. It's in a pretty weak yellow card for the referee

to give, but it's gonna be a Vancouver free kick. They've looked dangerous in set pieces. Sounders have to defend well. As the ball gets flicked this near side because she's head by Blackford. Strike towards Steph Cleveland, easily gathered by the Sounders goalkeeper throws the ball to the feet of Rudders. Wealth flicks around the corner the soundra Rusnak inside Vancouver half of the field, wriggles free of some pressure comes this near side, the left of Ladera. Leo

Chio sitting inside as an option occupying Blackman. Middle of the field. There's Ladera into open Vargas to shift the board from the left to the right hand side with Yamar. Pressure quickly from Lavante Johnson, there's Jackson Reagans. It's nearside the left to the feet of new head up looking for options. Leo Chow hugging the sideline, looks to go inside and behind cut out well by Laborda new trying to make up that errant pass clatters into shop. It's gonna

be a free kick for Vancouver, right in front of Sounders bench. But the Sounders are back on the road taking on the San Jose Earthquakes on Wednesday, July twelfth at seven thirty pm. Watch the match via the MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app, or listen right here on ninety three point three KGr FM with the Providence, Swedish Prematch radio show starting at seven pm.

Eighty first minute here at BC plays Vancouver two Sounders too. The ball gets launched, long headed, clear by Knew who's it, rolls into the Vancouver bench and we'll see if there's gonna be any changes. Vancouver looked like they're gonna make another change. We'll see who that is. There's a couple of players get ready to come on where Seattle can pull this out? Right? That winned with Houston the one zero. There's a big left that they

could pull out this one out today. Be fantastic for a team morale. Three goals scored in Charlotte on the road top place to play with heat and humidity. Get another Cascade rivalry hit game. Here there's the big man for Vancouver. Come up with the ball in the hands of La Boarder ten yards from the corner flag. It's near side the right latman corner of the six yard bucks. He gonna go into blackmun The ball bounces a couple of times.

Great safe by Steph Cleveland. It was Brian White who swiveled, took a shot from about the pek a spot and it was Cleveland is able to go down loads to his right hand side, made a really good save and it was cleared by the back line. It's going to be a Vancouver throwing again. Another long throw in coming in unless left side this side ball bounces again. The sound is not dealing with these long throws. Eventually finds the feet of Leo Chow clatches into by threes a look border top of the box.

The more momentum versus than anything cynical, but pete. The sound is now the end of the final eight minutes or so of regular time. Well, the sounds after doing this final ten or so minutes with injury time to try and get that third goal well restarts number one. They've gotten some great success on that too. They've just got to keep real ideas up high. Get some service into him. If you can get Russnick running underneath him,

it's getting it and some penetrating balls. Vancouver has done a great job of getting numbers, putting out a block of five at the back and four in front of them and then one up front. So Seattle's they've just got to keep wearing them down. I'm really pleased that they came back and tied it up both times. If they can find a little bit of energy in there, these are the defining moments in a season. Seattle can find something well.

Vancouver making another substitution the left side player Lavonte Johnson. Of course, the real problem is FILEX rolled down and the sound is right hand side comes off the field and Simon Bescha is going to come on the field and play high on that number nine spot. Four goals in the if and a young man signed in the off season with the real solid early pro career here in the Vancouver Whitecaps system. But the Brian Schwitzer no changes yet, same personnel.

We see Grosneck shifting to the right hand site Lad it's ticking up at number ten spot. Same thing happened last week. It was Rosnek who shifted to that right side spot and found the space inside the eighteen yard box from a Leo Chu cross to get that winning goal. We've got to make a mention as well for the Sounders fans again traveling in their numbers in section two eighteen and two nineteen just away to our left. We certainly support this team.

When I was out for breakfast this morning with my family, there were Sounders supporters sitting outside having breakfast already in the city. Joined the sights and sounds of Vancouver and always provide such great support, whether it's of the I five corridor or down the I five to Poland. As the Sounders now pick it up with Aladara middle of the field goes to the left hand side, Leo Chow finds the feed of Leo or Chwo whips it in well clear by

Blackman over the end line for Sounders corner kick. Their left hand side remains Vancouver two Sounders two pet viewing that was great from Nico found Chew early and Chew mixing it up a little bit of repertoire on the side, so you're not produce. She takes it first time, cross right through to Nicole Blackman has is forced to cook it out for a corner kick. She's having a really terrific game with service and finishing his chances. And here's that where you

start. We're looking forward, all right? Can we do it third time? Lucky Ladero two hands up outswinging corner kick the same spot towards to the first called drive swards. Wasn't that great strike? Really well played by this sounds? This time it was a driven cross from the corner from Ladero to the fast side top of the box and a really good stripe by rus that really difficult to control. That shot goes off Yama for a goal kick that

was well done. It's tough when your own teammate blocks that couldn't get out of the way a risk. I get it really well. Sound is still same, eleven players out on the field as we get here in the eighty sixth minute, Brian running his players out hard in this one. We need to make a change. Sound does have the bit between their teeth. The lapses of concentration on the first goal on a set piece the second goal with a flick from Brian White for a ball that eventually found Ryan Gold between Roldan

and Jackson Reagan. He's able to slot it past Steph Cleveland, but Cleveland certainly has done his part in this game, made a brilliant safe from Burhalter in the first half and a great safe down to his right just a few minutes to go by Brian White as a sound is now high press looking for this winning goal to get to the eighty sixth minute. Here ninety three point three KGr FMBC plays in Vancouver. Sound As Vancouver tied up a two apiece.

A tak Yoka launches it forward easily won by Jackson Reagan powers that headed down the field, but in its Vancouver pick up a loose ball of our gast able to flick it back to Alex Roldan to playing five games two in Asia, as Michelle could mentioned in the early part of this game, two games in Asia scored against South Korea and then three games in the Gold Cup, is able to get a really good outing tonight as sound As Now possessed a ball in the attack in half of the field with JP who got some

treatment after a clash of heads with Curdova remains on the fields. Alex roll Dan collect the ball fastside the right back to Yama inside to JP. Sound is now playing and keeping good possession as they continue to dominate possession with sixty seven percent possession in this game. But Dere flicks down the line well. Leo Chu supports to Leo Chu's white Leo Chu takes that. That run from Ladera comes inside, It's open Vargas's near side the left to Ladero in the

left channel, whips it in towards the backside. It's Russ Nakhu's lined up that volley. Could see him lining up that cross and this time it slices it high and wide for a goal kick for Vancouver. Remains the white Caps. Two Sounders two pe viewing. He yeah, we've got Nico Ladero now in the middle of the field, Roostnecks on the right hand side. A moment ago Nico overloads the left side, che comes in. That opens things up for Roosnick at the back post on the right side and he hits it

but not on frame. As you mentioned, one hundred and fiftieth game between these two great clubs. Goes back to June nineteen seventy four and all the iterations of this great rivalry through the years, man ASL to a League, to USL and now MLS. The game continues to showcase the passion and the quality as well as the Sounders now have the ball with Leo Chew in the attacking third of the field, down the left hand side, little one two with Ruby d swards the end line whips it in. Well it was along

the six yard box. He was Roosneck who trying to slash in front of Tackioka, but it was the Vancouver goalkeeper was able to collect the Ryan Gould picks the pocket of Knew and read the ball well, just couldn't collect it as Acouper now with Vite knocks it long for the centenors nearside the right Betcha can't collect it. The substitute tries to challenge. Newer referee gives the whistle

and the free kick to the Sounders and Pete. We signed to see some of those coaches have conversations, but I'm not seeing any changes quite yet. So we get here in the eighty ninth minute. Remember San Jose coming up on Wednesday. So the ball goes down the line, Leo Chow flicks it around the corner. It's gonna be a second yellow from the border, is it? Yes? It is second yellow full the border is first foul on top of the box and the second foul on Leo Choo looked a little soft.

But that second yellow card is now a red for Vancouver. And just like last week when the Sounders went up a man, they were able to find a goal quickly for the Sounders. Now can they find that winning goal? And Pete it's a good start with a free kick, but the sound does now have whatever stop he's time the referee's gonna give to find his winning goal. Yeah, that's it. It's you know, they tangled legs because

Chu was off toward the Vancouver goal. I think he had to give that second yellow card, but rather innocuous, but I think he had to. I think he had to give it. So you're right. This is a great opportunity for Seattle roosnucks on the ball if he hits the end swinger with

the right or the outswinger from Nicole Ladero, what a great opportunity. And get Hue somewhere inside the box because that's where he's gotten two goals already, so I say a little action on the Sounds bench for the first time tonight. Quitty Baker's gonna getting ready for a shimpad zone as Alas Roldan came across. Just gave a little wave to the bench his extra mile stop. His time's five minutes, five minutes. But the Sound is to find a winning

goal here at BC Place. Let's tied up two goals to two here against Vancouver Rose. That top of the box finally out inside the books, drives in across and it's a goal by Yama. The bench clays. Yamo runs to the Soundest fans twilight left and could that be the winning goal? A fightfal foot goal for the sound is for the most unlikely of players. It's Jamo with his left foot about sixteen yards out. He drives the bull home for his first goal on the season. It's Vancouver two. Sound is three,

another restart goal for the Seattle Sounders. Ball bounces around inside the box. Jamer, it's easy to miss those, It's easy to send him up and over the goal. He does a great job of smashing a hard right down the middle and good for the Seattle Sounders. They never quit on this single this game. You can see the bench go crazy, coaches, players all running toward. Now it's the next five minute, and once again it's Leo che causing all kinds of problems. A great little lift up and over

the top for Leo Chi. I think it was Rusnak who did that. You know what, Danny, You've got to get your center backs to produce. And today Jackson Reagan to assists Gomez Andradi gets a goal. They're gonna be very pleased and they're gonna be exhausted by the way these guys have been running their guts out the entire time. Shoe is gonna be very tired. New Who's gonna be very tired. I think JP's had a great game.

They got to close this out now five minutes of stoppage time, but we see Alex rolled on, just kind of standing next to the halfway line. Sound is looking to make a change. Cody Baker is gonna come on the field a lightful like swap Frileix rolled on a little confusion as the fourth official eventually gets his board up. Still confusing, I think it's got the wrong number on sixteen for seven, sixteen thirty three. Cody Baker gonna come on to write back. It's a lot of trust, isn't it. Cody Baker

right to put him in in this situation. This is where players grow. I like his grit and his resolve and his focus. It's a great opportunity for him to be a part of something pretty special. Well. As you mentioned, hundred and fiftieth game here between these two clubs, Sound is leading the statistics seventy two wins with only fifty two losses, twenty five ties and

a sixteen nine and eight record in MLS regular season. As the Sound is now playing against ten men, it happened last week you mentioned it against Houston. Could the Sound has found a new quick goal after that red card? They did? It was about six minutes later. This time it was quicker than that. The Sound has found that third goal to put them ahead in injury time, and it was, as we mentioned, an unlikely source in Yama, but a really cultured finished with his left it. Let's Vancouver come

now, drive forward. Sounds need to defend, need to press as they hold the top of the box. It's Martins so vtas he switched the ball from the fast side of the left his near side, the right header by new comfortable as Ruy Diaz plecks the ball, but it's gold, ball of its feet. Sounds don't need a foul, it's need to defend strong. It's gold. Receives the ball back on the far side of the left.

Martins with gold VTA sounds up a man the red card from the border as this near side the right flicks off the heel and toe of Ladero and the sound is now going to make another change the sime. It's gonna be Sosoko. He be Soasoko for Rowry Diaz, so pragmatic Bryan Schmittz is gonna put on another central defender to try and see all this up. As Rudiezer slowly jogs off the field, so Soco is gonna have to make his way quickly

on the field. As Vancouver now have a ball in the hands of Martins for a long throw ten yards from the corner flag on this near side. The right ball comes in long, but he bounces in just deflects what looks like off the chest of open Vargas it did, It's gonna be a corner kick for Vancouver. A referee he comes across, tracing hurry things that make sure the sound is don't time waste here, It's good decisions. So Soco coming in for a Rayold's another big body at the back. Does not have

to be pretty. Get it out. Kill as much Clark as you can. Ryan Gold this near side the rights with his left foots gonna an in swinging corner kick. Sounds have to defend strong were given up a golf from a set piece. The fesse Lanovitch big man is up. The ball comes in and swinging corner kick top of the six yard box, flicks away by Jackson Reagan, chase down by Ladero, Okay Sado and Yo tries to flick it off the Vancouver player. It doesn't. Vita sidesteps Cody Bakerho jumps to

the left hand side. Whipped in played by Yamar, the goal score of the third goal. Flicks away by Leo Chu, the goal scorer of the first two goals and all the experience you'd never need and one Fundladera refeels the pressure just outside the eighteen yard box as the Sounders are looking to defend this lead feels the pressure goes down, free kick for the Sounders remains Vancouver two. Sounders three takes the air out of the game for Vancouver. Give Seattle

a chance to take ten fifteen twenty seconds off the clock. Get numbers forward. Stephen Cleveland Southern about the thirty five yard line, and he's just going to drive it forward. As he launched it with his strong left foot to this near side. Sounds left headed and won by Vancouver as Soka just knocks along, does a good job. Cleared by black Man. No pressure on VTA. As the Sounders work their way back, Baker doesn't need to jump.

It's VTA overlapping run by Martin's gooddy. Baker chasing back, trying to defend. He does well, holds up the play. Martin's can't go forward. It has to go back back to Vita, back to Martin's thirty yards from the end line as far aside the left as Sado, but to Martin's defending well by the Sounders. As it trickles out a bounce, it's going to be a throwing for Vancouver. Eighteen yards from the end line, goes

short, comes back to black Man. Pressure by Leo Chu comes this near side for Vancouver Vassilanovitch in support, drives forward by Vancouver strikes it goes wide, really ambitious and there's the referees whistle. What a fantastic result for the Sounders as they came back not once, not twice, but a third time. Twenty fourth minute goal by Vesselanovitch got the game going for the White Cats. A tying goal for Leo Chew off the back of Ladero and Reagan assists.

It was Gold who was able to scamper free to put the ball in the back of the net to put the White Cats up two goals to one in the seventy second but another goal from Leo Chu in the seventy sixth minute off the back of another Reagan Ladero assist, and then the most unlikely of game winners, it was Yaima, who stepped up an injury time after a red card from Laborda just a moment or two before, was able to find that three points for the Sounders. Pete your final thoughts. That was a

fifteen round boxing match. It was kg Vancouver sat back said, Seattle, you take the ball, We're gonna counter, We're gonna get goals on restarts, and then Seattle now that's that is a great win. I'll bet j Bryan Schmtche will be a little bit tiri eyed in that law room. His team left everything on the field, even if it ended up two to one,

not in Seattle's favor. I think he'd say, look, you couldn't have given any more than you did, but for them to come back and then to get the contributions from guys like Jackson Reagan right, and then Leo Chow getting Choo goals in today's game, Thoma isn't dry to getting a goal. It never gave up as a very important moment for this campaign this season, and they have to be really, really proud of that effort. And I'll bet to be exhausted on the bus ride home. They'll get home late

tonight, but they'll be satisfied. A lot of guys sleeping on the bus. But that is a fantastic win for your Seattle Sounders. Well, two wins out of the last two games very different and the way they came, but the three goals to two win for the sound Is here was certainly going to put a smile on the traveling fans and the fans back home, and

certainly the players and the coaching staff. But thanks to Keilly Dunning here in the booth, Kevin kay Is always for his great research and information, to Michelle Lutka on the sidelines, and of course the seat soccer legend and former CLU coach Pete Viewing here in the booth. We'll take a short break, Jackson Phelps, we'll take over and break it all down. But from BC Place here in Vancouver, it finishes the Vancouver Whitecaps two, the Sounders three.

Welcome to the Sounders Post match Show.

Sounders FC Sucker is brought to you by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of Seattle Sounders FC. The Sounders f Seen post match show starts. Now, Wow, what a win. What a win? I think our producer back in the studio Anders may have said it best. It could be a season changing a win when it's all said and on the vibes of this team right now, going into this game, we look at the last few months, and a lot of it has been without either Christian rolled On and or Jordan

Morris international duty injuries. This team has struggled to score goals weekend and week out when one or both of those guys are not there. And then tonight here at BC Place in Vancouver, where there are a number sections two eighteen to nineteen, a number high number of traveling Sounder fans who are leaving this place happy because this team fights from down one nothing, they fight from down to one and they get all three points in a three two win. This

wasn't a squeak out win. This wasn't something the defense had to hold on to. This was an offensive game that they needed. They showed up and it changes the vibe of this team right now that they can score goals even without Christian and Jordan and oh, by the way, they'll be back soon. What's a game. Let's hear how it ended. The big moment it's of all people. Yamar comes Jade with the winner for Seattle. Was that from top of the bucks final layout, joinside the bucks drives it across and

it's a goal by Yama. The bench class. Yama runs to the soundest fens TWI left and could that be the winning goal? A fightful food goal for the soundest, for the most unlikely of players. It's Jam with his left foot about sixteen yards out he drives the full home for his first goal on the season. It's Vancouver two sounds three, and that's how the game ended. What a call there from Danny Jackson, Pete viewing alongside him, as we bring in Pete and we welcome you all to the post match show

here from a Sounders three two win. You're on Sports Radio ninety three point three. KGr at him. We're not wasting any time that play where you were right there. There was a lot of epic plays in this game. We'll get into. That is our Emerald Queen Casino Play of the Match. The Play of the Match each week is presented by Emerald Queen Casino, the betting capital of the Northwest. Pete viewing three to the final, heart stopping Oh my goodness, what all win? You're quick? You're an initial thoughts

on this incredible game. Well, I'm proud of the team. I'm proud of the resolve. They never gave up, you know. Michelle interviewed Brian Schmitzer at halftime and his comments were all positive, we're doing good things, We're gonna get it, and that positivity and that belief came through today. What a terrific win. And you said it, and you know it's never given up on a game and then believing and once you start doing this,

we've been on the other side of it, right. Yeah. If if a game is not going your way and it happens repetitively, you start to think, here we go again. But the Houston win at home and then this one on the road, it's just terrific. So that is I said it earlier. This is gonna be an exhausted locker room. They gave everything they owned there. The game was back and forth and Seattle just never gave up, never quite, never quit. And Vancouver did a great job defensively

of getting numbers behind the ball, but they gave up three goals. And you know, I think at the end, uh Sartini is probably looking at Brian saying, you know, you never quit. And they had a really good little conversation at the end of the game, pretty genuine from where we're sitting and watching, and uh, yeah, Brian's going to be really really proud of his players. This is one where he goes around and he's probably

gonna point out everybody. Stephen Cleveland. Yeah, he gave up two goals, but he made two goals saving saves, one in the first half, one in the second half to keep Seattle in it, and he's gonna be pleased. You can't fault him for either of the two goals. The goals on restarts, we haven't had that, and now we got three in one game. Let's there's a lot of different points to hit here. And the saves you mentioned their nineteenth minute, We played the highlight in the halftime show

and then eighty second minute just a massive saved, point blank range. I mean, Stephen Cleveland, Pete, you know, a week ago, you know we we he was the backup and Stephen Fry was your solid goalkeeper and he's your starting number one. Who's you know, the club legend of Colors, a leader on this team. Concussion midweek in training and you know, Michelle and I talked about it in the halftime show about the mental strength of this guy, you know, for for for Stephen Cleveland's pregames are show.

Excuse me, Stephen Cleveland's mental strength to jump into starting lineup and put together good performances back you know, a few years ago, and we not again tonight here, Pete. I mean this guy, he's not a backup goalkeeper in MS. This is a not only starting caliber goalkeeper. This is a top half of MLS starting caliber goalkeeper. And when the Sounders can just bring him on, is your backup. I mean he puts together legendary performances like

this. That's something that everybody's gonna be proud of. In that locker room. They're gonna look at Tommy Dootr and saying good for you. They're gonna look at that Stephan Cleveland and say good for you, because it is you're like a backup quarterback, you know, to a guy like Aaron Rodgers, and then you come in and you throw four hundred yards and three touchdowns in a you know, yeah that's what he did tonight and maybe yeah exactly and

so h and if you are not ready, you get punished. The first save he made in this and then you said seventeenth minute was a great save. And had he missed that one, had he not got there, you would have said, well he's rusty right or right. And I don't think he would have said, well, he was not prepared, he wasn't ready for the pace of that shot. But he was ready for the pace of

that shot. You know, Tommy Dootred, Bryan Schmitzer says it all the time, is about schoolkeeper coach in Major League Soccer, and you know, you look at what the team has done in two thousand and i'd have heard a good story from Tommy yesterday where Ziggi Schmid said, Okay, I'm gonna take you, but you're not my guy. You're not my guy. I'm and I'll give you a year to prove yourself, but I've got another guy

that I want in this spot. Four months in, zig walked up and said, you're not leaving right, And that's that's awesome, that's and I understand, you know, Ziggy coming to Seattle at a MLS Cup at at Los Angeles with the Galaxy and Columbus, he has the right to say, you know, I'm gonna go with somebody else. But he gave Tommy Dutra a chance and and and four months yeah, four months in, he just said, hey, you're the guy for this job. And you know,

it's fifteen years ago that that was that Tommy started with him. But you're right, I mean, it's just it's a credit to uh Stephan Cleveland first, right, because he stayed engaged, didn't give up the ship, didn't complain. He's always got a good attitude. And and to Stephan Fry as well, because he's a good teammate. So he's already you know, I'm sure there's been I'm sure Cleveland has some text on his phone from Fry telling

him what a great job he did. So we got a really good and then you got Andrew Thomas who's on the bench tonight, and he's phenomenal. He's a very very good goalkeepers. Fans haven't even seen how good this kid is. He Yeah, yeah, I remember. I remember being with Matt Johnson and who was talking about this kid, uh Russell, this quarterback named Russell, right, and he said, you way, we had just signed Matt Flynn. He said, Russell Wilson's gonna be the starting quarterback for the

six. We were talking to a Newport Hi stretch knew what he was talking, he knew what he was talking about. It. And Andrew Thomas is a very very talented goalkeeper, and Fry's got more years on him. This isn't his last year. He's got a number of years left on him. But yeah, kudos to Tommy du Trip because those those saves lift a team and save a team. When he made the second one, I think that would have put Vancouver up three two and Seattle had just come back, so

exactly, Yeah, just amazing performance. You know, listening at the end of the day, I think Tonight's Toyota Man of the Match is Leo Chewing and deservedly so with the other two goals and the influence on the final goal there were his shot slash cross is deflected saved back out to Gomas Andrade. So Leo Chiu had a hand, a big hand, if not the whole

thing, and in all three goals. So Leo chi is absolutely deserving of tonight's Toyota Man of the Match. Your local Toyota dealers are proud to present tonight's Man of the match, but Steph and Cleveland has a darn good shout to be man of the match as well and get a share of that because

he was outstanding tonight. Let's take a break, we'll come back. Welcome in Michelle Ledgeka to the post match show and also hear her conversation with Tonight's man of the match Leo Chew. That comes up next as we're celebrating a Sounders three two win here at BC Place in Vancouver. It's gonna be a good night in Vancouver. The team's gonna head back with the fans staying up

here. Yeah, we're all gonna have a good time. delivery again from Latero find Jackson Reagan. This time he was on the boss side to write it was a header across goal and he was Leo ju with his second goal on the night, his third goal in the season, and he ties it up here in BC Place, Vancouver, two Sounders two, and then a ninety first minute Yamar Gomez Andrade goal made it three to two and your Sounders took Gara business tonight at BC Place in Vancouver three two road win. First time this season. By the way, the Centers have scored

two plus goals without Christian rolled On and or Jordan Morris. Great offensive performance tonight in this road win, great fight of the team down one nothing, score down to one score and then two two they get the winner. Tonight's man of the match is Leo Chu. Michelle Luca had the chance to chat with him on the sideline just moments ago. Leo, congratulations not only on

your performance to night, but also the win. What does it say about the team that you guys fought the way you did and came back to get those three points? Yeah, that's good. We're win. We're all happy. This week was so good for us. Bet when you're harded, so yeah, we hady happy. Two wins the sequence, so keep you doing. Two goals for you and an assist. What change in the second half

that gave you those opportunities? I mean the game change every dinosaur and it will be already every every single movie sequence, so I was prepared with them all come for me. I'm really happy about that. You guys just gave Vancouver their first loss at home since March. What is it about this team that makes them so difficult to play here? Yeah, it's away. It's always hard to play here. I'll get to beat my guys before the game. We'll be great games. So we're so happy because we win and yeah,

let's go Leo. Congratulations, thanks so much for the time. That's Lao Chi Sounders goalscorer times two tonight. Also big hand in that third goal and the Sounder is getting the three to win. Michelle Ludka down there with Leo Chio after the game. Well Sounders FC Soccer is presented by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders FC. And as we bring Michelle Lukin Michelle that I imagine down there on the sideline was a pretty happy team coming off

of this heck of a win. Oh. I have not seen this squad celebrate like that in quite sometimes. They were happy, I mean they were joyous. It was I think this was this is one of those matches that I think we're going to go back and look at and be like, wow, this really meant something to this squad. This is a moment in the season where it could have gone one way or another, and this is going to project the Sounders forward. I mean, you heard it there in my

interview with Leo. I mean, we just broke white Caps nine match unbeaten streak at home. How good does that feel that we did that? And then for Leo, I love this obviously, he was fantastic tonight, but all time against Vancouver. He now has two assists and three goals against Vancouver. So there's something in the air. Leo you know, comes up here and it's just fire pee. That's impressive numbers that is, you know, and and uh, jingle bells in the locker room will be a lot.

It's a team win, wasn't it. I bet you could see with each goal, the entire bench, players and coaches, you know, Brian Schmutzer just uh until the third one especially, he wasn't showing a ton of emotion, but trying to keep everybody locked in. You know, they gave up a second goal when they tied at one one, they gave up a quick second goal that was disappointing. They fixed that for when they went ahead three to two. Uh and and so yeah, that's a great win. But

again, you know, you said it a little bit. It's these moments where the lock room changes, right, everybody and everybody's going to be spent on this one. And it's uh, someone said it in college. It might have been Lombardi, it was it was pro football. He said, there's nothing better than lying in the locker room in the total exhaustion of victory. It's a good one, beautiful, yeah, Vince Lombardi, right, and yeah, nothing better than lying in the locker room in the total exhaustion

of victory. And I would say that a lot of those guys. I thought JP had a really good game, Jackson Reagan had a really good game. I thought Nico was good, Raoul put his work in, Chew obviously did really well. And and you've got to give Vancouver credit. There's a reason they have gone nine games without a loss. It's a good team. And Seattle wore them down and now onto San Jose. But they got to enjoy this one for the bus ride home. That's a great win and it

gives them some resolve. I think they've changed something in the last two games. They've got four goals, right, getting three goals today, Like you say, without Christian, without Jordan Morris, it's that's just a good win. And this team's kind of fragile. They had a great start to the year, but then they've been a little bit up and down. And you inch forward with confidence as a group, and then you feel better as a group. And so going to San Jose and San Jose's not the San Jose.

Lucie Gonzalez has got that team going in a good direction, much better than it has been for a long time, So that's not going to be a cakewalk. And Brian Spencer's Michelle, Wouldn't you think Brian Spenzer is gonna have to rotate the lineup for that game with San Jose. Oh, he definitely will. But I think he's going to be so pleased tonight, and I think he's going to enjoy this victory, like you said in the bus ride home tonight. And I think one of the biggest takeaways is when I

talked to Brian Spitzer at halftime. You know, he said the team was basically there except for that final execution. And he said that is what he stressed at halftime in the locker room of the only thing that they needed to change was the timing and vigor of that final step, and I think that's exactly what the team did. He specifically mentioned Leo to me at halftime, but he was one of the players who needed to make that change. So

I think it's got to be so rewarding to be heard. Have the players, you know, hear what you're having to say, make those changes and then come away and be rewarded, and best possible way to go into a three match week. That's absolutely right because San josean Wednesday, Dallas on Saturday. Yeah, heck of a way to start the week. Back to back

Sounders about to head back to Seattle. Sounder fans enjoying the evening up here as the club gets a three two win tonight over the white Caps. They were down one nothing, came back and scored. They were down to one, came back and scored, and

they were able to get the winner in the ninety first minute. Yamar Gomez Andrade of all people, slots at home to make it three to two. Well, time to look ahead at what's next. Very briefly for the Sounders, it's a busy week. Not only does the club play on Saturday at home against Dallas, but the next match is gonna be on Wednesday. That's

gonna be on July twelfth. Kickoff as this match is gonna be at s in Jose, So kickoff at the Earthquakes will be at seven thirty and the Providence Swedish prematch show will be get at seven o'clock right here on Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFM. You know, so watch the match if via MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app or listen in Spanish language at l Ray thirteen sixty. So Pete viewing Michelle Latkez, we look ahead to this

match, specifically the Wednesday one. Not a lot of subs in this game, especially earlier. It took a long time for Brian Spencer to make his first change. That would tell me, Pete, we're gonna see a fair bit of rotation come Wednesday's match in San Jose. Yeah. I think there's two things he's thinking on that one one year right, a big rotation I think he even mentioned that to us. He did, yeah, and then but then the other part is I think sometimes Brian will do this. Good

coaches will do this. They'll let a team gut it out. They'll let a team find a way to win if you take guys off too quickly. And it hasn't been completely banked. But he let the guys stay on the field, and then he did make a couple of changes. I liked ab to Soco going in at the back for Rural Ruida, So yeah, I think that is the case. But I like the subs that he made late to close the game out. But he might have left those guys on the

field so that they could get the satisfaction of getting the job done. The belief in that locker room is the strongest it's probably been this season since the early part of the year when they got off to such a great start. Absolutely, I completely agree with you, coach. It was I think that's exactly what Schmetzer was doing of wanting to give the opportunity to the players, and honestly, I think they deserve to stay on the field based on how

they were playing. I think they did such a great job of that and to your point, Jackson, Yes, I think we'll see a rotation like we normally do in a three match week. Not only are the Sounders trying to juggle kind of finishing out MLS play before the break, but also Schmetzer telling us at a production meeting that they're in it to win it when it comes to League's Cup, and so he needs to be kind of rotating through

players, keeping people healthy obviously first and foremost. Especially he mentioned Alex Roldan. You know, he's seen so many minutes and eventually he's got to give him a break at some point because he's gonna need him with League's Cup as well. So yeah, it's it's gonna be a rotation. But knowing Schmittzer and this team, you know that they're going to be out for three points

in California as well. Absolutely they will be, so tune in for that Wednesday seven o'clock Providence, Swedish pre match seven thirty kickoff Sounders at San Jose eight Earthquakes.
