Well after a frustrating loss at home to Austin FC on Wednesday, your Seattle Sounders have quickly turned around and are up
north in Vancouver to night to face the Whitecaps at BC Place. So welcome in to the Sounders FC Premat Show, presented by Providence Swedish official healthcare partner of Seattle Sounders FC. My name is Jackson Felts. I am alongside tonight with Michelle lu Kim. Michelle. Good to have you in studio here tonight. Thank you, Jackson. Happy to be here and I'll be even happier
in a couple hours if we pull out a win. Well we sure now you want to come off of our last Wednesday, Michelle when I will be joined by Diego Audio from BC Place in a twenty minutes here on the Emerald Queen Casino countdown to kick off. There's a lot to get to. We'll give you this Delta starting lineup in just a moment. There is some rotation
for your Seattle Sounders tonight in Vancouver. We'll get to the team's health report, We'll have a quick sharp vision opponent outlook, our players to watch. We'll chat with Diego up there at BC Place before getting to keys to the match. So there's a lot to get to here over the next half hour. But Michelle, we gotta start. But as we always do, looking back, and typically after losses, I don't like looking back, but in this case we do because I think and I kind of went off on the
postgame show. And if you haven't heard that, don't worry about going in listening to it. The gist of it is the fact that I'm tired of losing to teams who are low in the table, who haven't won in a while. Because we saw it against way back with Portland, we saw it against Sporting Kansas City a couple weeks ago, we saw it there on Wednesday get against Auston, and a narrative is sort of starting to be built that if you need to win, you face the Sounders and you can get on
track. You know, it's funny. We were in the production meeting with Brian Schmenscher this morning, head coach of the Sounders, and I asked Brian about this narrative and you know, how do you approach this, you know, sort of narrative being created and he said he doesn't bring it up to any of his players. I am sorry, head coach. I'm sorry, Brian. I brought it up the most Stephen Fry and Albert Rusnack this week,
so I apologize for putting that in their heads. But Michelle, the reality is is that we have seen results go the way of teams facing Seattle when they are lower in the table. I am glad we're having this conversation now, Jackson, because and I totally I love your passion. I get where you're coming from. I do think there is that narrative forming amongst fans, But I'm with I gotta take Brian Schmenscher's side on this, And because
of where we're at in the season. If it is May twentieth, if we were having this discussion on August twentieth, it would be an entirely different story to me, and one thing that I always fall back on, and this is something my dad always said to me growing up playing sports. There's no pictures on scorecards. You see the wins, you see the losses,
you see the ties, you don't see the story behind it. Not trying to make excuses, but the biggest factor here, I think is when all of these losses have happened, two teams that the Sounders on paper should have beaten, we've been without Christian rolled On and several other key players, and so I would feel worse and be more nervous about this narrative if this was
happening over and over with Brian Schmittzer's first choice starting lineup. But I think at this point, again I appreciate the passion, but I think we can pump the brakes just a little and I think we can kind of see, Okay, this is one of those it's not black and white, this is a gray area. Yeah. I think that's absolutely fair. And Christian rold On unfortunately still in concussion protocol. He's part of the team health apport will
get to in a few minutes. But hopefully this team has enough to make up for his absence today against the Vancouver team, like these other teams, haven't won in two games, two straight losses. We'll talk more about Vancouver in a little bit, but Michelle, let's let's dig into what we're going to see from the Sounders tonight. So let's get to that delta. Starting
eleven from Brian Spencer's Seattle Sounders side. Absolutely no surprise here. Stephen Fry in goal, and we've got a back line of rolled On Gomez and Drati Ariaga. Knew who. Then we move up, we've got rusnak Atensio, Morris, Ledero, Chew and Montero again pointing out Ariaga getting the start on that back line. Yeah, we'll talk about Hobby being back in there in
a moment. Quickly looking at Vancouver's side, there's an interesting situation that Danny Jackson and I were just talking about pretty intensely right before the prematch show started, and it's exactly how Vancouver will play, and it relates to the last
game because Austin came in here to Seattle. They played a back five, which means, you know, if you're if you're you know, just listening to us right now, you can envision this Basically, the Sounders line up with four defenders and you'll see two center backs that's Gomez and drat in Oriaga tonight. You'll see two outside backs knew Who on the left, Alex Roldn
on the right. A team can also shift into a five at the back that includes three center backs and then two wingbacks who are at kind of run a lot on the outsides. When teams have gone to a back five, that has seemed to work very well against Seattle. Now Vancouver typically plays a what we call Christmas Tree formation, a four three to one. It just goes straight up four at the back. Vancouver tonight, according to their lineup on social media, and this is what Danny and I were just talking about,
this could shift into a four at the back. It's very possible. It will depend on where Ahmed plays. He right now is is looking like, according to their graphic, is a right wing back, but it will depend where he plays. They are coming out. It appears with a three at the back slash five at the back, So they appear according to this social media graphic, which I mean, who knows if we believe it or
not. They are opting to say we saw the success Austin had. Thus we are going to run out that type of a formation to try to frustrate Seattle. So going through that really quick, Yeah, Brown, Laborda and Black then as that threesome. Now the right wing back I mentioned, Ahmed, Burr, Halter and Kubas are there in the middle, Martin's is out on the left, Brian White Ryan Gould are in there, Brian White being the Ford for Vancouver, and then VTA is going to be right next to
Ryan Gold there in that attacking to some underneath Brian White. So that's what Vancouver is throwing out now, Michelle, as we kind of diagnosed Seattle side and what we need to have happened now, obviously had issues against Austin breaking down that fivesome. So when you look at an attack of Morris and Chew, a lot of speed out on the wings, Ladero in the middle,
Montero up top. Is this the group that's going to be able to break down a back five Finally that we didn't see this last time, Well we got to hope here. The thing I really like here seeing is where Morris and Chew are in this lineup for the Sounders. They're moving into positions that Brian Schmitzer moved them into the second half of the Austin game, and we saw so many opportunities in that second forty five minutes of that Austin game that
really showed. I mean, it was unlucky at the end of the day that game because there were so many beautiful opportunities. Can't take anything away from the Austin goalkeeper. He made some great says and so I'm very confident about
that. But I think the biggest thing here, and it's something I want to point out that Brian Schmitzer said to me at halftime during that Austin match on Wednesday, was that his players want to win so badly that when they get taken out of their element and they are not in control of the tempo
of the rhythm of the game, they start trying too much. They start trying to do too many things and trying to be on too many places on the pitch, and they fall out of what they're known to do and what they've trained to do and what they've practiced to do in practice in training sessions. And Brian just kept stressing to me, He's like, I know, our guys can do it. I've seen them do it at training and we've seen him this season. When it clicks, it clicks, and it's beautiful.
They just need to play with each other, within themselves and not overplay. And I think that's going to be the biggest key to today's game. I think it's a great point and we see that. I mean, the specific example is when is when the sounders aren't things aren't working in the attack, you see Nicholas Ladero running a lot more. You see him going thirty yards in each direction to try to get more involved and try to facilitate things.
And Joel Polo being in the lineup is usually the thing that is allows Nicholas Ladero to You know, you're a little bit more restrained. You listen, JP's there right under him. You don't need to do that much running today, no Joel Polo. So I'm a little bit worried about that that Nichola Ledero might try to do too much. I would just say, and I think you might agree. I'll get your take on this is let's just be patient, be patient in that build up, Nikol. You don't need
to extend yourself that far where you have a lot of help. You have a lot of speed, you have a lot of talent around you. We don't need you going thirty yards back to get involved in the defense of midfield. Stay up because you you have. That's where that's where we've seen him, that's where you're bringing up. That's where you've seen him be. His best is when he doesn't need to go, you know, in all these
different directions and extend himself so much. Absolutely, I mean, these players, we've seen it, and I think you hit the nail on the head the patients. I mean, some of my most favorite matches this year watching them are the ones where the game almost has almost slowed down for them, and not in the sense that it's a slow paced game, but just slowed
for them. They're connecting on their passes, they're moving in formation, they're having opportunities, and they're connecting and succeeding and following through on those opportunities. And I think today in particular, yes, we need them to stay in position, but I think also let the offense do what the offense does best. And I really like going back to where Jordan and Leo Chu are playing today, and I also really love Freddy Montero getting the start against his former
club. He did play for Vancouver. He's fresh off of a goal, and I think let's let some of this magic happen that we know that the Sounders are capable of. Absolutely agree. Let's dive into the Providence Swedish team health report very quick and we mentioned Leo chu knew who they're back and starting tonight. They're off the injury report, Christian rold Donnas. We mentioned Stone
concussion protocol, Rovalry Diaz. Brian Spencer said that he'll be training in full next week, so we'll see what that means for his status for the New York Red Bulls game at the following week back at lumen Field. Calen Row having a nice sprain. Ethan double Era has an ankle sprain. Tonight's team health report is presented by Providence Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders FC, and we are just about twenty five minutes away from kick between the Sounders and the
white Caps at BC Place in Vancouver. BC. Tonight's countdown and kickoff is presented by Emerald Queen Casino, the entertainment capital of the Northwest. We'll take a break, We'll come back and take a look at the host tonight, the opponent outlook on the Vancouver white Caps, and also give you our players to watch that comes up next on the Providence Swedish premat show Sports Radio at

Sounders are up at BC Place in Vancouver to face the Whitecaps. Jackson felts in Michelle Ludka before Danny Jackson and Steve Zakiwanie will have the call. Four Sounders and white Caps will head up to
BC Place in Vancouver with Diego audioa in it. Just a few minutes, but Michelle, let's take a look at the sharp vision opponent outlook on the Vancouver white Caps. They enter this match three four and five, entering the weekend at ninth place in the Western Conference. But like the Sounders recent teams that have beat them, they are also coming off of a rough stretch,
back to back losses at Portland and then at Dallas on Wednesday. Should mention they're also in the semi final of the Cascadian Canadian Sorry like Cascadian Canadian Championship on next Wednesday, facing Pacific, so their lineup is slightly rotated from that. And this is a homecoming because they lost out Portland and at Dallas, so they've been waiting to get right and get home. So this is the opportunity for that. In Michelle. They have we know, talented players in
there today, Brian White, Ryan Gold who's basically they're Nicholas Ladero. This will be a tough team the Sounders have to have to face tonight. I completely agree. And why well, I mean, obviously the Sounders are higher up in the rankings and the standings than Vancouver. I think the pressure is on Vancouver tonight. They're back home, They're they're off a road trip that
I like. That's one of the things I like so much about now the Apple partnership is that all teams kind of pretty much play on the exact same days, and so you're not getting some teams that have played, you know, three matches in five days and another team that hasn't played for seven and so I think we're going to be seeing a tired Vancouver team. The traveling back from from Dallas is not an easy trip by any means up to Vancouver, which I like. But I think overall, and this is something that
I think is kind of fun. When we were looking I was looking through match notes earlier, the Sounders have defeated Vancouver sixteen times in the regular season. That's the second most wins against an opponent, Colorado being the most. We all remember what happened this year when the Sounders took on Colorado, so I'm really hoping something for something like that. However, the Sounders have not won in the regular season in Vancouver since twenty eighteen. That's slightly skewed because
in twenty twenty we didn't go to Canada. But the Sounders are due for a win up there. The Sounders are due for a win in a situation. So my money is on Brian Schmitzer's Sounders coming through and playing the way that they need to play, especially as they want to forget what happened on Wednesday night at home. I think you nail the pressure being on Vancouver. You're home now, you're off two straight losses. You need to get right.
So I think that's a good point there. Stephen Fry, talking yesterday about Vancouver, he said they're very quick, they're efficient, they're vertical, as in they're good in the air. So yeah, this will pose a challenge for the Sounders tonight. But looking back to Seattle side, Michelle, who is your should mentioned by the way. Tonight's opponent Alec was presented by sharp Vision, Modern Lasic and Lentz, the official Lasic provider of Sounders.
FC Michelle, who's your Seattle player to watch? I am going with Freddie Montero. He was just a spark on Wednesday, came in so effective. Beautiful players still to play, you know, and I don't know how much longer we're going to get the opportunity to watch Freddie play. I think he's got a little bit more in his tank, especially going into this match because
he's playing against his former team. He's getting the start. We actually asked Brian Schmitzer about that earlier, about okay, is there a coincidence between him getting the start and him having such a good game on Wins And he said, no, it really is just a coincidence. I wish I could say that word correctly, right. There a coincidence that he was going to get some starts this season and this just happens to be one of them. They need a fresh player to score some goals, and so yes, Freddie is
my player to watch. I love it. They're gonna need him tonight. I'm going to Haavi or Ariaga the opportunity for him. Jackson Reagan came into this season and took his starting spot next to Gomez Andrade. But now Ariaga gets this opportunity. Brian told us this morning he's excited to play, He's happy to be back with the group and listen, expectations they're in line with his quality. So don't make any major mistakes. And that's what I would
say to Ariaga number one. Listen, you've made some mistakes throughout your career here in Seattle, you know, and I think last year was a better year for him. But today is a chance, an opportunity to you know, if you ever want to get back in that start rotation, then you gotta have a great performance today. So I'm watching for Ariaga not only to not make any mistakes, but to have a good performance there and hopefully keep Vancouver out of the back of the net. Those are our players to watch.
Now we'll take a break, we'll come back and head up to BC Place in Vancouver. Diego Audio is up there. We'll check in with him and get to lay of the land up from BC Place. How are things hey? Jackson, Michelle? How are you guys? We're good and it's pretty pumped for an amazing game. We meant to watch a Cascadia Club Cup clash. Yeah, definitely, Diego. We'll take us behind the scenes there. In terms of the atmosphere in that building right now, how many Sounder fans made their way up? Does it look like I know they're tucked away probably to the left of you, but but tell us what you're seeing in that building right now, just about fifteen minutes before kickoff.
Yeah, definitely there's Sounder sense as usual. They made the trip. It's a beautiful weather, obviously, Samison Seed in Seattle right now, they're just you know, finishing touches. The players will come out soon. There's gonna be around, they were saying. I was talking to to the Vancouver White Cuffs far and they were saying around nineteen to twenty thousand attendees today, So it would be the highest in the season obviously because they're playing as the
Sounders. So it's gonna be a really, really fun match. Gotta love that, Diego. You know, it's going to be a great atmosphere in there. And you know, Jackson and I were talking a little bit before you came on. I kind of okay, which team has the more the pressure on them. I was going that more pressures on Vancouver right now, having them lost two and them being the home team, despite them being lower in the standings than than the Sounders. What is your feeling going into this
match? Do you think there's more pressure on the Sounders or Vancouver in this one to come away with a win. Um, So that's a good question. I think that Vancouver definitely has the pressure right because they're the home team. They're always They've been playing pretty well, but they haven't had the results and the three points. They lost the last two road games, and I think this is an important game for them as well, not only for the
the Cascadio run, but also because they're playing at the Sounders. They beat them last September, but they after before that, they were like the fifteen games that they couldn't win against the Sounders, right and going back to twenty seventeen. So I think this is it's a special game. I know Vanny Certin has a thinly changes a rotation to some of the players, but definitely they want to get this win. And from the Sounders perspective, I think
the surprising loss. I guess Austin definitely adds a little bit of pressure, but they also know that they're playing a top team and also in BC Place, So I think Brian Schmetter will keep some of the weapons for for the second Happy things aren't going to this side. We're visiting with Diego Audio. He's up at BC Place in Vancouver where the Sounders are playing the white Caps tonight. Dio, you mentioned they're the kind of the rotated squad there for
Vancouver. I want to get into some exs and os with you. Um, we've seen Vancouver typically run a Christmas Tree formation four at the back. Meanwhile, the Sounders have had kind of some fits facing teams that run five at the back, and we're seeing Vancouver with their rotation switching to a back
three slash five. What do you anticipate that's gonna be able to to kind of cause you know, do you do you foresee that that will cause some some fits for Seattle again here tonight running a running a little bit of a different formation. Yeah, Jackson, I think that that's that's a really good question to say. I think disformation between the back right with Mattia Laborda fist and black black one and Louis Martin's I think there's gonna be more space for
the Saunders. They're able to break that midfield line, right, So I think it could be a benefit for the Sounders, especially you saying Jordan Morrison he's beat on Leo two on the wing. I think that's gonna be crucial. But also they have a lot of people in the midfield, so he's gonna be tough. I would say for for Nico, for Russ Snack and
also Attensio today, but I think they able to break that line. There's definitely gonna be more space, but they can think advantage of On Wednesday, we saw a homecoming of Source with Bruin coming back with Austin back to Seattle Diego. This week we've or this weekend, I should say, we've got
a homecoming for Freddie Montero. While we claim him as ours, he did spend several seasons up in Vancouver. What do you think that'll do to Freddie to Night, who's obviously getting the start, do you think there's gonna be a little extra pep and his step really kind of wanting to to to play
all out against a former club. Yeah, I definitely asked him. Michelle I saw him in the tunnel right you know, at like an hour ago, and I was like, hey, yeah, you're ready to score a goal against your former team, and he got pretty excited, just laughing. He's like, no, yeah, I'm pumped. I think definitely it's special for him. They loved him tis well in Vancouver, but he's a Sounder's a guy, and I think, um, he knows how to play in
this type of atmosphere. There's gonna be pressure for the home team. So I think if he's able to score and getting that chance, even branch metter As I was saying this week that yeah, he wants to give that opportunity to Freddie also to get ever some breast, but also he knows how important is going to be for Freddie. He's able to capitalize today. Absolutely. I mean, Freddie's only one goal away from the eighty mark in all time
in Sounders history. He got number seventy nine on Wednesday, and I'd like to see him, you know, get to eighty eighty five and you know, it's like, come on, let's do like a nice rounded number. You know. With where he's at right now, he's on a good run of form well, Diego. We'll see if he can do it for the Sounders. Have a good call up there at BC Place and we'll we'll check in down the road. My friend, I appreciate you jumping on with us
tonight. Thank you guys. Leture do with you and like, yeah, let's get that win definitely before the Sounders and talk to you guys later. Yeah. Thanks Diego. and Michelle ludkare to wrap up the prematch show. Michelle, you mentioned the history for the Sounders against the Whitecaps. It's been very good overall, these specific numbers sixteen, eight and eight against the Whitecaps and ms regular season history. Most recently, as we mentioned, the Whitecaps beat the Sounders though two to one at BC Place last September. Before that, Seattle undefeated in their previous thirteen so listen. Seattle has a great history against Vancouver, a very
good history out there at BC Place. They just need to take care of it again today and get back on track after the loss against Austin Michelle, let's jump into keys to the match. What do we need to see from Seattle tonight to get three points? Honestly, I would really like to see the Seattle team stay loose, stay relaxed, stay patient, and have fun.
I don't think they've had fun of late in some of these matches that they've played against teams that are lower in the standings, and as a result, they've gotten tight, they've let the other team kind of take control, They've over tried to complicate things, and I would just like to see them take the pressure off, know what they're capable of doing, do that, and enjoy it, because I think when they're having fun, that's when they
played their best. When we saw that in the first two games this season. Was specifically the second game, and I think it was a two nothing win over Colorado or was that salt Lake. Either way, salt Lake, Colorado is the opening game is Saty, so it was the solid too nothing win and they had the plays throughout the second half where they played so open and so freely, and we asked, you know, a bunch of them.
I mean, I specifically remember Albert talking after that win and asking what was working, you know, what was going so well in that second half? And yeah, there was not a goal in that stretch, you know, in the specific, you know, ten minute stretch we were talking about. But but why were things so easier? He said, we were just playing and having fun. And I think if you play freely like that, then there is a certain quality that comes out in your play. So I
completely agree in that sense. Yes, there's this, you know narrative, you know that sort of his building about. You know, teams are using Seattle as a get right game. We've seen from Portland to Sporting, Kansas City to Austin on Wednesday. You gotta shut that down, and it doesn't matter if you're thinking about it or in Brian Spencer's case, making sure the players aren't thinking about it. But we gotta get a win and we gotta put it behind us. I'm tired of this narrative. I'm tired of this
being the thing. So hopefully they can play freely, they can take care of business and we can get past Vancouver tonight. That'll do it for the prematch show. We'll be back for halftime and for postgame. But it's time to head up to BC Place in Vancouver. Danny Jackson, Steve Zakwanie, they've made the trip. We are going to head up to the booth in BC Place. Now time for Sounders FC Soccer PC place where your first place. Seattle Sounders take on the ninth place Vancouver Whitecaps. One hundred and forty eight games played
in a Cascadia rivalry that started back in June nineteen seventy four. The Sounders Whitecaps matchup is steeped in history and a little blood, sweat and tears. Less than one hundred and fifty miles separate these two great cities, but the success of both franchises in the MLS era could not be farther apart. Vancouver has struggled to gain any consistency and results on the field since their MLS birth in two eleven. Fannie mart Sartini is a seventh head coach during this time
and they have only managed one single MLS playoff win. The Sounders, in contrast, can celebrate multiple MLS championships, CCL title and a playoff run the lasted thirteen years, but past success means nothing in rivalry games and both teams need to find a win to get back on track. My name is Danny Jackson alongside Sounders legend Steve Zaquani for the core tonight. Before we get to see for his initial thoughts, let's give you the Delta starting lineup. And
I know Jackson Felts talked about potential three at the back. We're going to go to a four three two one, the Christmas Tree formation. It's what they've played all season long. It'll be Takiokuan, Gold, laborda Brown, Blackman and Martin's Burholter Kubas are med and then Gold, Vita and White. That's the Vancouver lineup. Let's give you the Delta starting lineup for the Sounders. Stephen frying Gold changes from Brian Schemetzer throughout the rest of the team rolled
down. Yeamar Oriaga comes into the lineup alongside Knew who returns after illness. Albert Roznak alongside josh A Tenso in the middle of the field, George Morris on the right, Ladero in the middle, Leo Chu comes back on that left hand side, and then Freddy Montera, fresh off the goal he's scored in midweek against Austin, gets the startup front against one of his old clubs. So Steve, what can the team take from Wednesday's result on Wednesday's last
spring tonight. I think it's got to motivate you because you were at some point. You've got to sort of get back to who you are and who you are if you're the Sounders. I think with the lineup today there is a lot of depth in this team. Branch Mesa, he's rang the changes, but instead a pretty strong lineup. And I think you're going up to Vancouver. Yes, in away games you always say will take a point, but I think based on recent results performance, the fundam a rale for the
confidence. It's a game you really want to win. You're going into play for three points and branch mess has made their intention clear. What a team he's chose to night Well, certainly Cascadia Cup is fresh on the minds of all supporters. Portland lead the way this year with six points, having got
two wins and a loss, one of those losses against Vancouver. Vancouver with three points, and then Sounders come in today off the back of a loss to Portland and try to find the first points on the board for that Cascadia Cup, which started back in two thousand and four when I played. So it's been around for a long time, but started by all the local supporters, the supporter clubs in Seattle, Vancouver and Portland. But we're gonna get
going here. The Sounders in their traditional rave green shirts, blue shorts and rave green socks, Vancouver in their traditional white shirts, dark blue shorts and white socks. But Steve BC Place was chosen for World Cup venue, as was Sea Apple. But Vancouver have had that kind of stop start type of history in MLS. What have they done this year that's made them get some
better results? I think startin is a good culture, and I think he's a player who he's clean house a little bit and changed some of the players who were there maybe weren't putting their weight. And he's got guys who are gonna give into the cause and believe in what he's trying to do. And I think he just he's a culture of an I deal and the team's very settled. He's given a team to Gold and brand White and it's led them
well so far. Well in the off season, thirteen left, including players like Cavallini, Nevinsky, Young Vit who retired is now an assistant coach of Vancouver, and then eight came in, so they've definitely rung the changes in the off season and certainly they've gotten some of those results so far this year. As Vancouver shoot to the goal to our left, shoots on right to
left, Sounders attacking the goal to our right. As it's Vancouver top of the box with Gold and a strike sliced, White goes out for a goal kick for the Sounders, but Steve it's been the last couple of weeks for the Sounders. Of course, the La Galaxy loss that obviously a good win, has winning to Houston then the back of a disappointing loss against Austin. But it seems like in the attacking of the field, good possession at times, but it's getting that chance on gold. It is, and I think
it's been the case since the home lost of Kansas City. And there's a lot of reasons for that. One reason is it hasn't been settled. You've seen Jordan Paunds and nine. He goes to the left, we gust to the right. Leo Chu's been in the now, Abe hasn't find his best form yet. So I just think you just got to get settled. And I think for today at least Bran Schmitz, he's gone back to basics. Jordan a White, Leo Chu at White, Montero Fouda middle there on his
best position. He's put guys in spots they used to play in and he gives him probably the best chance to get a result to make well. Leo Chu back the starting lineup, got a knock a couple of weeks ago, being out on the field against Austin for a handful of minutes off the bench, but gets to start tonight, as does Knew, who had got a run out against Austin as well. As the ball goes down the left hand side, Leo chu whips it in along the PK spot cleared by Vancouver that
picked up by Ladero to Chew left hand side. He comes in off that left hand side to rossneck playing with that bleach blonde hair in the middle of the park alongside of Tensia and a roll down advanced position. Is it played all year? As it goes from to the left hand side, Chew towards the end line, flicked and out for a corner kick for the Sounders. Remains nil nil here. Really good stuff on the Sounders there, and he could have Dare getting involved two or three times. L two getting out wide
doing his job putting dangers cross into the board. You'll have to sell for a set piece here for the Sounders, but that'll be encouraging inside three minutes to have two sustained attacks that leads to a corner kick. Well, Rosnack walks over. It's gonna be on the Sounders left hand side, right footed corner kick in Swinger has all the big boys come up or argue getting his first start. Jackson Reagan's been solid so far, but Bran Schmutzer giving him
a little break. It's been a lot of games for the young man coming into the beginning of this season. As Rosnack lines it up, arm up comes in high and long step backside, Ancamar rings up. It was a chance for the Sounders inside the six yard bucks back post, good floated corner kick. Yamo got there first, but couldn't direct the header on goal, goes wide goal kick Vancouver. Oh, and it's a great delivery there by Russnack and Yam is gonna wind that back. He does a really good job
losing his marker. He's inside his six yard bucks when he heads this does everything great, heads it down, great connection, just gets his angles wrong and he goes the wrong side at the pulse. But great delivery from Albert Russneck, Ahmed with his on the right hand side. We'll see how this formation kind of plays out. Certainly, some thoughts about playing three at the
back, and we'll see how it lines up. Certainly Austin got success playing three at the back, and maybe they took a page out of Austin's book. As the ball goes long, covered world by Ariaga to Yama finds itself to Rusneck and it's about a good solid staff for the sound. As the ball goes down the left hand side to Leo Chew defended by Brown on the
right hand side, fast physical player is Brown Jamaican International. As the ball goes from Chew to the middle to the right hand side, rolled down picking it up. The Sounders now decent possession as Vancouver get men behind the ball blocks of four, two blocks of four. As the ball goes wide to Georgian Mike's can't control it goes over the end line deep on their right hand side for a goal kick Vancouver Steve zaquane well, I like this one.
The sound as wide players earlier on your seeing or choose holding his witch very wide on the left at that time was Jordan Morris attensive would right idea to find the American International just a little bit overhit tough with Jordan to control. But the sound is very early on making it clear that in those wide areas they fancy BOTHI or two and Jelda Morris the window one who won battles.
Yeah, Mark fouls Brian White on the right hand side on the Sounders right hand side, it's gonna be a free kick for Vancouver on their left. It's near side the left. Brian White four goals on the season so far, leading alongside Betcher, who's on the bench young player sound in November of twenty twenty two it being a breakout star for Vancouver sitting on the bench. Certainly some firepower on that Vancouver bench called over Shop who's play played and started
many different games. And Julian Gressel that we know about the force on that right hand side. As Vancouver bring it out, Ahmed loses the ball to Attenio. Good start by the sound has whipped into the bat post. Jordan Morris can't quite get the stretches and rolls off his pin boots for a GOALKI. Vancouver remains nil nil and once again similar idea that Leo Chu every time he gets into a White channel. Those two have built such a great connection,
Leo Chu and Jordan Morris. You can see Jordan's wide open and Leo Chu. It's a tough one there because you've got to get out just precise. Over hits it slightly. But I love to start from the sound.
As the whole game's being played so far in the Whitecaps half, Schmeisser will be proud Whitecaps shift it from center to the left and then back into the middle of one touch into Vita because he picks the ball up on his left foot, loll outside of the foot with Gold two left footy players playing in those attacking midfield positions for Vancouver. As at tension brushes off Gold, There's been another revelation in the mlsa's knew who gets pressured but it's able to squeeze
the ball out to Ladera who shifts overs that left hand side finds Rosneck in the middle of the field. Sounders now carrying the ball forward with Rosnack into the center circles. He shifts it from center to the near side the right rolled down nothing on, goes back Sounds maintaining good temper. Good start by the Sounders so far, Azaria Argua picks up the ball. A couple of good solid appearances for the Sounders. An open cup play gets the start tonight.
Certainly, Brian talked about his excitement to get back in that starting eleven as the pockets picked of true by Gold into Brian White strong powerful playoff as he brushes off Ouraga, maintains possession of the ball, ball goes inside all the way to the end line blocked out by Yama and it's gonna be a
corner kick for Vancouver on their right hand side. It was Sebastian Burholter gets the start Tonight, goes in behind good defending by Yama Steve and you get this sense that if the wake Ups didn't get anything from this game, Brian White and Gold will have something to do with it. It's those two combined
in there. It's a great run by bur Halter. Yama does a great job spot in that a center back coming out to cover that has to conceive the corner and the end it looks like but it's going to come through White or Gold's to wake Ups to be successful. Tonight well, good movement so
far by Vancouver. They've had a couple of spots in behind the back four, but defended well by the Sounders. Sebastian Burholter, of course the son of former US men's national team coach Greg Burholter, former UNC Chapel Hill player
for one season. As the ball goes to Gold on their right hand side, flicked in with the left foot to the back post up in the air by black Man, collected well by Stefan Fried decked out in all black as it's a quick throw out, so Ladero and a tensie opening up those legs, big powerful players. Ladero gets pulled down middle of the field, but play carries on top of the box, so Ladero gets up. It's able to collect possession foul top of the box, nothing given by the referee.
The ball gets flicked into the middle and it's Vancouver now come away with it with Gold Sebastian Burholter in support. He goes across to the right hand side. Ahmed, another player, gets to start tonight. Ball comes to Gold as Vancouver now dictate a lot of possession as a ghost from the center to left hand side all the way out to Martin's advancing that left side position to
Vita think lord deeper. He tries to collect the ball to Blackman. It looks like the board is playing in the middle alongside Blackman Brown on that right hand side. We've seen both those players playing a combination of right and center over the last couple of weeks. But Vassilanovich's missing. Stevie's a good young player. Came to the league a couple of years ago, captain for the team, missing for personal reasons. Yeah, is a big miss for them,
but this all sorts of shots because he takes a shot. We'll get back to your thoughts. See as Vancouver collect this ball well and Martin's comes back. But yeah, Vassilanovich, you know a bit of a loss for that team leadership and obviously the stability in the back. Yeah, it's a big loss. And I think in a sense obviously different player in different position, but it's similar to what a sound is. Dus of Christian are all done. He's a player where every time he plays you know exactly what you're
going to get from him. And I think Christian we're realizing he's one of those players when he plays at times you may not annoice it where you're remove it from the team and the impact is clear. And it's not surprised that for the sound is at least this sort of wobbly runners come coincided with the Apps and st Christian roll down from the lineup ball and left hand side Martin's
hugging that near side touchdown. The left ball goes into Brian White, collected well by yeaymos into Ladero flicked by Montero is a free kick on the Sounders player by Vancouver. Yellow card in the hands of Joe Dickinson, and up it goes and it's the first yellow card of the game. Free kick for the Sounders. It was a yellow card and Blackman an early yellow card for the Vancouver center back. Here in the tenth minutes it remains nil nil the
BC Place Vancouver Seattle Cascadia rivalry here. Yeah, he's just late. Montero beat him to the board there, black Man and the former LFC defender comes in, maybe harsh for yellow card. First real challenge of the game. Wasn't nasty, just friend who was a little bit quicker. But Blackman now for the next eighteen minutes or so has to be on his best behavior. Well, Freddy Montero gets the start tonight, has obviously been prolific in US
Open Cup games, gets the goal. It's Austin in the week. Really good build up by the Sounders from Morris to a bear and a nice cool finish by Montera is certainly something Brian Schmitzer would love to see tonight. Try to get that attack going again as Rosnack middle of the field about thirty yards
from Gold right of center, free kick ball on the deck. Two arms go up, so he knocks the ball to the back post cleared by Vancouver well as Atensio on the Sounders left hand side picks it up thirty five yards from the end line head up goes back to knew Who again back in the lineup for Knew Who five changes from Brian Schmitzer in the starting lineup today from
the starting lineup against Austin. But it's the pocket picked by Attensi who too slow on the ball, and it's Gold who picks the ball at middle of the field, comes inside to Vita, who shifts it from center to this near side the left as Martin's experienced fallback plays it down the line defended well
by Morris, and we've seen him do his defense. It does the last couple of weeks against Arstin, he was back a number of times cleaning up some mess and again follows his man tracks back and Vancouver build out the back again. But Morris hasn't scored Steve since April first, and it concerns there for the Sounders staff. An'll think, so I think Jordan golf to that, well, you can only call it an absurd start. It was like eight goals in five games. Knew who tries to let it go, comes
in plex the tackle. It was Gold who picked the pocket of Knew who the ball was trickling out of bounds, Knew who thought he went out. Gold saw differently, picked the ball up, puts it between the legs of our argument. It comes into help. But it's Knew who comes flying in left footed tackle, goes out for a corner kick Vancouver. Yeah, we'll get back to Jordan, but that was in the end x and defended by Knew who. That's the Van who Knew who He makes the mistake, but
he has such great recovery speed that in most cases Gold is away. He's gone in away and a Knew who comes out of nowhere, makes a great tackle. But the Sounders again got a face a dangerous corner here Vancouver on their right hand side, Sounders where the combination of man for man and zonal mark and his Martins was all way back to Gold thirty yards from goal again ripping it to the far post. Too long and high and it's gonna be a goal kick for the Sounds. But let's get back to Jordan Morris and
the lack of goals in the last six weeks or so. Yeah, I think, you know, Jordan can be sometimes a streaky player. It was the same with Freddy Montero back in the day, where he'd scored for nine straight games and then he would not score for the next nine games, and then he was scoring a round. So I think Jordan got to such an
amazing start. The confidence was hide, the team was playing well. I don't think the amount of stimes he's been moved around has helped him, starting as on the left wing, on the right wing, sometimes at the nine. Jordan craze consistency. Give me a role and I'll execute that role. So that's not been the best for him. But regardless when you get those eight goals, if he's in the first two three games, or you do it one, you know, one goal player game, it doesn't matter.
He had a great starts to the season and there's no doubts he once again will find his best form. It stumbers on the board, tracked back by chew and foul from behind. Silly place to give a foul top right quarter of the box, twenty yards or so, twenty two yards from the end line and choose, Yeah, chore coming back to try and defend clips the heels that failed to give it took a couple of by saying there Leo Chew, and you just was slow to the board and was trying to make amends
of it. In at that point you got realized you still got defenders back. Then just get back to a good position. You sort of built armed out here. Now you give Vancouver a very very dangerous set piece just outside the box. I mean this could be a cross or a shot, and the sound is going to have to really, really really stick. Would have run a safe for rebounds for example, and the ward also asked to do his job. Burr Halter, Martin's over the board, Martins with his left
fort burr Halter with his right foot. As they step up as Greefrey Dickerson backs away, Stefron fright organizing his line defense holding the pecase. What comes in flashes all the way across and he was a transfer Brown on the back post. It was good delivery by burr Halter and it flashed across that six yard box and for the sound as it goes out for a gold kick. But it was a chance to got on the wrong side of Alex rolled on
good opening chance for Vancouver. It's gonna be gold kicks sounder Steff. I mean it's a brilliant, brilliant delivery, he eludes. Everyone found brown at the back post there and if that forced the brand white or gold that's in the back of the net, that's a finished one player. He's probably not usually in that position. That it's a massive chances from two or three yards out, couldn't get a right connection and puts the ball that way well.
Sounds FC Soccer is presented by Provident, Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders FC. As the ball goes to Rusneck in the middle of the field, now hearside this near side the right, the sound is now creeping into Vancouver Territory. Rosneck, what's a solid game tonight? As he tries to flick the
ball over the top, but it's picks up by the sound. It's the dare in the middle of the field, shifts it from center and tries to get to the left hand side, but good defended by armed picks the ball up and wriggles clear of Russneck comes out to Vita, who's playing all deeper
today compared to his more advanced position, but it's Vancouver in possession. Give it away by Vancouver now as the Sounders pick it up left hand side, Lunu overlapping run with chew down the line to Ladero whips the ball in the flex off loop order. Going to be a sound corner kick on their left hand side. See but there's a nice open field this game. Both teams really attacking. Either teams really come into a bunk and play for the point.
It's a very open game and that first goal is going to be very important. It's coming down to a lot of set pieces now, both seems having multiple corners now at this point. Russnack on his lasted the report a very good ball in where Yama got free at the back post, couldn't quite find on target. A similar repeat is what it sounds to be hoping for here. Sounders definitely need to find ways to start getting goals from set pieces, corner kicks, free kicks. Not much this season so far to speak
of, especially away from home. Set pieces are gonna be important. As russneck again on that Sounders left with the right foot, it's going to curl this ball in this time a little lower, shorter top corner of the box cleared by Brian White, go out for another Sounders corner kick, the third corner kicks so far in the game. As we sit here in the seventeenth
minute, Vancouver nils Seattle nil and the Sounders. We talked to Brian Schmitzo about the important corner kicks being in the season now, it's just seems a bit more basic. Get the ball in the box like the big guys attack it. Yeah. Absolutely, and you have someone like Rossnak who can usually put in a very decent ball, and you've got Yamar especially coming from the bank, why not ball comes in top of the six yard boats collect a well by taki Yoka. Taki Yoka came in from the JA League in the
off season, certainly got great instincts as a goalkeeper. Not not huge heights about six foot, but his ability to shot stop and his experience has definitely been a good ad for this Vancouver team as it's Vancouver now. In transition to Gold thirty yards from Gold comes from the center to the far side of the right. As he rolls the ball across the armed who starts wide right,
goes across the new new easily picks it up. Failed by Armed, and if Armed hasn't face Knew Who before, he will know now that he's one of the best one v one defenders an MLS. Yeah, and now I give Armed credit for actually facing up Knew Who and attempted to be him there. But very few players get the bear of new Who in that kind of situation. On that occasion, Knew Who doing very well winning the board and not only that, winning the free kick. So it's very it'll be
a good ball. But our men, will you when you play Knew Who? You no even in the game. Join us for Sounders Day at the Wing Luke Museum. Get free entry on Sunday, May twenty eighth by wearing your Sounders FC gear. Fans in attendance will be entered to win an autograph jersey. To learn more, visit Wing Luke dot org. As a ball goes long clear out of bounds on the fast side, the Sounders right as the ball goes into Montera deep tries to flick it off laborder he does,
it's gonna be another corner kick for the Sounders. Fourth corner kick all on that left hand side, and we'll see for us night we'll go over and take it or if they're gonna change it up, and they do change it up, now it's gonna be Ladero, it's gonna be outswinging corner kick with his left foot. As a sounder is now trying to find some good delivery, trying to find an opportunity. They've got some height in Oriaga. Yeaymar
Morris certainly is strong in the areas. We've seen the goals he scored this year, and of course you've got a tensio who he goes. Tilladero is short. Tiladara actually shifted in top of the box and Marta and his wife. There was a chance it was collective actually by Ariaga inside the box eight yards from Gold, who was aheader into Oriaga's feed. He collected it turns
shot wide, Vancouver Gold kick. Well, I'm not sure if it's a design play, but Freddie took up a very deep position when the ballers swan and he does an excellent job in the board back towards Gold and Ariaga there. It's actually a very good first touch. Aside the box turns in spin
just gets he's finished wrong. But again, set pieces proven to be the best way to sound as are generating chances so far as a Sounders pick it up again, given away cheaply by Vancouver as stephr and Fry launches it long across to the left hand side to LEO two one easily by Brown, but it's going to be collected by Knew, who that fast side the left comes back to Oriaga as a Sounders. Now as we approached the twentieth minute,
here at BC plays Vancouver nil Sounders nil in this Cascadia Cup rivalry game. It's one hundred and forty ninth game between the two teams. Certainly lots of memories, probably for you Stevens, certainly for me playing in these games. As the ball travels all the way back to Takioka decked out in all pink and purple and magenta. As he launched the ball to Brown on the fast side of the rights, our Med picks up no real pressure as he starts
addressing and approaching, Knew lays it off to Gold. He picks up short into Vita isn't able to collect that ball picked off well by Yamar and Jordan Morris inside from his wide right position, collects the ball to Atensio down to roll down Rose Neck flicks with the out sided his foot down the line and attensor has got some time and space. Now Jordan Morris in behind balls short and collected easily by Blackman, so it comes across but given away again by
Vancouver. Story of the game so far and giveaways in the middle of the field and Sounds now picking it up twenty five yards from the end line as Tensia opens those legs down the line, but defended well by Martin's experienced play looked like it was close out of bounds, but not. It's pressure on Vita. Ball goes along, collected by Rosnack, cushion headers isn't able to maintain possession, goes out for a Vancouver thrown on their left hand side.
I think Brian Sprez will be relatively pleased the first twenty one twenty two minutes here, But as this game settles down, you do want to see some of the things that Sounders do well. Starts to take shape where everybody seen Alex Rodan getting into an advanced position on the right hand side. We know how good his service is. Leo Chu the first five minutes really got a brown down on the left hand side. Hasn't really seen much of a game
since as well, say for Jordan Ross on his right hand side. So as the game settles, maybe a bit more control for the middle, get a rusknack and attends to or the dead or that midfield triangle to generate a bit more possession and then really involve your wide players. Get him astate in one view one and push anyh roll done up. I think that's the next step for the Sounder is here. They've got through the first twenty two minutes. Okay, it's been okay, but it can still go one step above.
Yep, it seems quite comfortable as Sounders now. It's certainly being a solid start. Don't give them the way cheap, as we've seen happened the last couple of weeks where Sporting CAC Austin have scored in the first half and sounds so far looking comfortable in possession as they build out the backward knew who to attend to. It gets the start, had a really good start to
the Campaign's got that great goal and then got injured in practice. And now it's getting himself back into this lineup as he give us the ball away tracked by Montero on La Border, and it's gonna be a free kick for the Sounders. Sorry free kick for the white Caps. But this copyrighted audio casts of Major League Soccer may not be retransmitted, reproduced, or rebroadcast without the express written consent of Major League Soccer. So Steve, when pass a twenty
minute mark, branch Schmetzer should be pretty happy and content. So far yeah again zero zero twenty two minutes or Stefan Frank hasn't had to work too hard. Yes, you give the chance to Brown in a set piece, but he also had a good chance with Yemont and of Arioga. So I think
for the Sounders, branch metzide he knows his team can do more. They have a few more gears of all up into but he'll be pleased that in the first half here they're pretty steady, pretty in control and having given up too much defensively, we'll split pretty even so far in possession as a Sounders pick it up again. Vancouver so far just a little sloppy and possession as
they build out the back. The sound has give it away as well, and because other game just needs to settle in, both teams didn't find that bit of tempo as it balls on the fast side the right for Vancouver as they with Gold and his left foot, little flickball to armed on their right inside challenge by new the top corner of the box comes inside nothing, gun
goes all the way back a few groans from the crowd. His Brown picks it up inside from his right back position, pressured by Ladera Montero holding a spot higher up the fields. The ball goes back to the right hand side, back to our meaders. New closes to Howning learned his lesson as the ball gets clipped to the back post, headed back by White Well played to Martine's top corner of the box the left hand side. There's near side to Gold to the left corner of the box. Packed to Gold as he close
to board the far post. Heady, clear and dramatic fashion by new Who, but away and out for a corner kick for Vancouver. And in the end, that's very good football from the white Caps here. Gold at the heart of everything. As we said, it's a fantastic bought in the back
post and that's a very good headed by new Who Indiana. If he doesn't get there, there are two White Cats players waiting behind him for a simple head inside the six should Bulls, which would have surely been one new We're already seven corners on the game so far, four for the Sounders, three for the white Caps. As the Sounders now take stock as Vancouvers trying to find the ball. With Burholtz on the Vancouver left hand side, it's gonna
be a right footed in swinging corner kicks. The sound is set up well along that six yard line with Gamer and oriag gets all the way to the back post, carries over the top of a tensio and Brown. Brown collects it on the far right corner comes back as it gets flaked in collected easily by step Friend Fry. When the sound As will take that steve It was a poor delivery from the corner kick and then safely in their hands from the follow up to Stephen Fry. Yeah, aside from the attempt by Brown,
the amount of set pieces the Whitecaps a hide. They'll be disappointed they haven't got more from them. The cornice their way over here. It doesn't really give the Whitecaps players a chance to attack the ball. Of course, the Sounders won't be complaining, but it's been a game with seven corners already. A few free kicks on either side. It's really coming out to set pieces. The possession from both teams hasn't really been as sharp as you'd really expect
paying out of the back. So it maybe one of those games where it takes one great delivery and a header and that's the game right there. So in those moments you've got to make should have your delivery. It's as good as it gets, and it hasn't been from both sides so far. Twenty sixth minute here in BC places Vancouver Neil Seattle Neil nine fifty kjr am.
As the ball goes along by Fry to Morris. It does so well in those positions to flip the ball, but collected by Laborder and Brown inside from his right backspot, pressured by Montera, goes all the way bout to attack Yoka as he goes along all the way in to Gold who's I'm not gonna win those headers against Oriaga and the Sound has picked up middle of the field
with rolled on as he turns away from pressure back to Rosneck. Sound is now in possession along the back line with Yama and Rosna try to find the ball, try to find tempo, and it's gonna be good to get Freddie Montero involved more up the field back to goalie. We know that Freddie likes to drop in Steve to that hole and potentially let Chew and Morris get in behind. Yeah, and that's something the sound is having a spoil yet at
tour think with Freddie Montera. We know, especially at this sarge of his career, how he plays. But how many times had the Sounder has turned at the White cups back clane. It hasn't happened yet. So yes, Freddy drops into the hole. That's the queue for Leo Chow and especially Jordan Morris to make runs in behind him. They haven't yet. Gold Comers inside
plays the bold or combination with White back in the streets and wide. He was good combination played by Vancouver. He was Gold to White, laid off, Gold kept the run going and he strikes it wide of Stephen Fry's right hand post. It's gonna a Gold kick for the Sounders. Put a lead off by by Vancouver, and that's the best bit of football Eva Sounders produced yet. In the end knew who does just enough to put Gold off.
But the third man running there, the intricate one touch passing as a glimpse of what the Whitecap can do, and two of the three players involved. Again, of course it was Golden. It was White, very incisive, open a Sounders backland apart completely and that was very close to being one. Neil probably should have been well. Gold one assists on the years so far, no goals last year, have eight goals, nine assists. Real breakout
year for gold for the Vancouver white Caps. As Attencio looks like he'd one that bore the outside his foot, referee Dickerson gives a free kick. It's gonna be a Vancouver free kick about thirty five yards from Gold left of center. As Attencio walks away and Vancouver get lined up for this free kick. But Vancouver's home form is is solid three wins, one loss and two ties. They've scored eleven goals only given up five, so almost a two to
one advantage in goals scored. As Sebastian Burholter and Martin's again over the sport, it's gonna be Martins and his left foot swings in low, flipped in by White and cleared eventually by Montera. All the way down the line. There's near side as Takioka picks it up and the Sounders are able to defend another set piece well as this Vancouver out building out the back the Sounders fans.

As the Sounders pick up the board, middle of the field with Rosnack goes back to Oriaga as Vancouver now higher line of confrontation with White as he steps forward fifteen yards into the Sounds half of the field. Sound is able to entertain good composed possession and it goes for Oriaga to new left hand side walls the ball to Lee or two inside Vancouver half of the field outside the foot into Rosa plays the ball to attend to
your back to Montera. There's Montera in the pocket of space playing it out to the right hand side, Jordan Morris hugging this near touch line the right as it works this way back to attention middle of the field, Ladera back to Attensio, roll down wide now as balls sloppy by roll darn As the
balls giving away to Brian White inside the center circle. Now it's Vancouver in transition with Gold on the right hand side, cuts in on his preferred left foot, flicks it from center to left all the way out to Martin's advanced from his left back spot, curls it in, drops on the peak spot
over and why is the challenge by new who on Gold? Ball goes over Vancouver Gold kick remains nill now and again the sound is dead, architects of their own demise, because it was really good football, the first time we've seen them make a ten eleven tolf past sequence and then really underknow pressure whatsoever, Ali Shrodan gears the ball away which needs to this wirecaps chance of the cross comes in. Gold gets the first I mean knew who clatters into its
good defending as the cameroon and defender clears the ball. But Gold definitely came off worse than that challenge. Well, that was a good example of what Vancouver done so well this year, they've been accurate in their crosses from white spots, are actually leading mlescent the number of accurate crosses from white positions. And that was Another good example is Martin's found gold on the peak a spot and now it's going to be a corner kick. The fourth corner kick for
Vancouver, the eighth of the game. All go short off the training fields of Gold drives it in, defending well by Yamar. Sounders fell asleep for a split second as there was a corner kick straight off the training ground went
short. It was driven in but defended well again by the Sounders. As Vancouver now no real pressure, as Freddy Montero jogs up holds a position about ten yards outside the eighteen yard bucks, as Takioka builds it out with Kubas, and as Jodan Morris supporting his teammate with higher press with Ltdero, sound is now playing a little higher up the field trying to win the ball back, and they do with a tensio given away cheap away, cheaply by Vancouver,
and again it sounds this time give the ball away cheap. It's been a Yo Yo effect type game in Possessions Vancouver with Martine's cross into sound of Territory comes in off that left hand side into the middle to Kubas the middle of the field to the border to Brown on the far right hand side. Armed supporting gets the ball hugging that far touch line. Comes into Gold,
who's been heavily involved so far in that attacking midfield position. Berlhotel to Gold back to Armedic comes inside off top of the box skipped by Ariaga posing late it was cleats up. It looks like to be a yellow card for Armed as he goes down, and maybe he's trying to get away with one there, Steve he maybe. I think there's definitely a clash of kneeds. There are maybe over runs the board. Alex Rodan radio so well, but you give Armed credit and he took on the who their runs inside you can see
what he's trying to do. If ash Rodn doesn't get there, you have a man over wide open. So it's a great intervention by Alex Rodan and clatters into Ohmed, who comes off the worst of it. Looks like he at this point, but he's still going to get books. Joey Jackinson is just taking his time and letting Armed figure out. Let's bang on Knars. We see it in the replay, comes across and it's more of his knee in the turf that seems get caught up. Yeah, it's his knee down
into the turf. Then he runs actually into Alex rod Dan's ankles, so it's definitely a foul, no real intent behind it, but catches Alex rod down really then men, I think a combination of the turf and Alex rod Dan and Armed is still downhill. So you hope the youngster will be okay.
He came off the worst on that well. In MLS between these two teams and regular season, the Sounders are sixteen eight and eight record so sound has been dominant, as we mentioned so far in the game in September where Vancouver picked up a two one win that broke a fifteen game unbeaten streak for the Sounders, so certainly at Vancouver's number, we know how these rivalry games can be. We saw it in Portland. Potland were struggling in the early
parts of the seasons. Steve Sounds Well up a goal in the seventy second minute and then or the sixty fourth minute and then after the seventy second minute it was four goals in quick succession. Yeah, exactly. And we were there for that game, and you know, I think the moment as Real scored and we sat at the time. If he scores a tap in, it probably ends one one and we may win the game two one. It's
the kind of goal that he scored. He just bought the whole of Portland to their feet and the sounders just couldn't may from about it was four goals and they just felt like wave after wave And I think I've never been a part of the game like that, and I think that really shell shoot the sounds on that day. It was interesting. With all that experience on the
field, it just couldn't get ahold of a game. When those games kind of get away from you, it's hard to pull it back because the sounds now ball back in play after a brief restpite from injury, is the ball goes to Oriago solid so far switched the ball from center far to the left hand side, and Leah chew offside. And see that's the kind of offside that drives a coach bananas. It will when the balls traveling from right to left of a long distance and you're a wing and I've been in that position
so many times. You're looking across the whole line. There is absolutely no reason to be offside. That's a close one. Stuff to see in a replay whether the LEO two was offside or not. But he's also quick enough to give himself a couple of yards. Just be a bit behind the line. You know you can get there. No defenders within ten fifteen yards of him. Opportunity wasted. Sound has pick it up the middle of the field. The Aima won the initial head a free kick given by Dickerson trying to
find the advantage. Nothing given in terms of advantage, so he called it back and the sound has placed the ball on the deck with Russneck and Steve. It's the pace of the field as well. Right, you've got that time and space. The ball's not gonna chase away from you. It's gonna drop and it's gonna die. So it's about finding that space, holding your run and running onto your absolutely simply just hold your running. You know,
you know you've worked on it in training. When the balls on one side le or two stays wide as possible, we're gonna play long diagonals to you, so as it's traveling, you should know exactly where you are. So branch men say, you're right that that will drive a coach crazy because there's absolutely no reason to be offside and you're losing an opportunity for maybe your chance
to get down the line and get the ball into the box. Ball goes along from Blackman down Vancouver left hand side, this near side again in referee gives an another free kick. This sounds of Vancouver is are challenged by Yama and Yama demonstrating his innocence there. And I think the referee right now for both sets of players has put his whistle to his mouth a little bit too often for a rivalry game like this. We know it's gonna gonna be rough
and tumble at times. Sounds of referee has to understand what these are types of rival especially with the amount of history between these two clubs, where it's gonna take Yeah, and it's not been by any means a nasty game, a couple of challenges here and there. I think it's been well competed. I think both teams will be a bit disappointed by the quality of their football, you know, giving away a lot of passing. Is very few long
sequences of passing so far, no shots on Gold from either side. But it still feels as if the games there's something right they're waiting to happen. There's something their moment of magic, and the Sounds will be hoping to maybe get an equal. They're a bit more involved. He's beginning to fade after making pretty good start into the game, and the same for the Warecaps.
In regards to the bog, Vancouver come away with it with Vita in the middle of the field, plays the ball from center to right hand side, Gold finding those pockets the space, drives forward top of the box, goes square as well. Dan sees it, slides, clears the ball. Kubas is able to read it and flix it to Blackman, Vancouver maintaining possession.
Now for getting the thirty seventh minute all tied up here at BC plays Vancouver nil sounders nil am As Laborder carries it forward, goes out to the right hand side, Brown to arm and hugging that right touch line, comes inside to Sebasian burhol To flix the ball all the way to the far side. Martins one ball all the way across the six yard box. It was a good one touch cross from Martins and the ball switch from right to left.
No one there. Brian White attacked the front post, nobody trailing in behind. Gold kicks Sounders and some of the Warecaps best plays. Half con from Wadias getting balls into the box. Ban White gives them such a fixed target there to find in the mid and that's a very good attempt out of delivery there. Just to lose Brown. White and the Sounders were able to watch the board bar behind all the left hand side with Leo Cheu comes inside off
that left spot as Ladio Tres go around him. Given away again by Leo Chu. He's been a little sloppy from the young man because he trying to get his legs back into this starting lineup. Ball goes in behind the amer power strength easily taken and lays it all the way back to Stephen Fry. But certainly the noise you hear is not just Vancouver fans, it's sound As
fans as well. Section two nineteen. Well over a hundred Sounders fans made the trip up to Vancouver and as they make the trip south on n five to the Portland game. In numbers certainly they travel north as well, and so far solid for the Sounders in this first half, trying to find an opportunity to test tak Yoku. He hasn't really been tested, but the Sounders
give it away Clex. The ball in behind runs away and again that's been the story so fast, given away by the Sounders initially chance for Vancouver areunable to connect on that pass. I think both teams have been giving gifts to each other will stop you passing, but either once take an advantage. Yet you get into the final third and that last pass is missing, your one pass away, one cross away, and the quality is not quite damn.
That's what we'd let down branch Mesa and Sartin on the other side, that your approach play has been okay, basing that final third where you need that
little bit of quality has been lacking on both sides. Martins flex the balls near side the left for Vancouver as they roll the wall book bowl all the way back to the border back to Takioko in the gold Press by Freddy Montero, trailed by Jordan Morris and Chew and Ladero, but the ball goes over the top, headed clear by Yamar easily Rosnac dragged to the ground by Burrholton middle of the field. It's going to be a sound As free kick.
As we get into the fourtieth minute, here be see place. When's Vancouver nil Sounders nil. The score update is presented by provident Swedish good to touch by Ladera goes to the outside the right. Jordan Morris defended well by Blackman, sliding with the outside of his right foot, was able to clip the ball out for a Sounders throwing on the right hand side. This Nearsiders Alex Roldan comes up, clecks it. There's Ladera and support Jordan Morris top corner
of the box. A little cushion headed by Ladera goes into Jordian Morris, flicked around the corner to Ladera comes inside from Bright switched the point of play to the left hand side as News tucked in off that left apposition, his attention moving forward. We've seen him step forward before in recent weeks, scoring
that wonderful goal at home. It's given away by Yemar and the colecting back by sound As ball goes into the middle to Ladera to the right inside to Jordan Morris comes in off his left foot, strikes it blocked well by look border and Blackman cleans it up out to Martin's on the left hand side as Vita collects it and now Kubas in the middle of the field. Pressure by the sound as it was step over by Burt Halter. But it was true
wasn't able to collect it free kick on gold by true. That's as much Steve It's frustration will give away that initial touch and gets the yellow card, probably for accumulation of fouls. Yeah, it is, and it's a frustration from True because he really hasn't found the game after that first five minutes. But the same can be said really for Jordan Morris, who's maybe starting to come alive. Freddy Montero's had only seven touches so far, and you know
when Raoul Ridiaz plays up top, seven touches is fine. Raoul doesn't need to be involved in the game. He'll get on the end of things. Freddie needs to field the game. He needs to get his touches, come deep or find the board. Monteros a player who has to field the rhythm of the game, and he just hasn't been involved and I think the Sounders have suffered for that because they haven't been able to hold possession to allow runners
like Ldero to Morris to get beyond Montero. And that's why it's been quite comfortable for the white Caps. Everything has been in front of Black and the rest of the back line. But so far Vancouver edging the Sounders in possession and and edging them also in duels one, which is something Brian mentioning is postgame press conference is number one statistic duels one, especially away from home. You want to make sure you compete. So father Sounders second best of Vancouver.
As the ball slides out to the right hand side, pressured well by Nu, comes back to Gold who's been heavily involved in attacking third of the field, had a couple of chances August Ahmed inside to birdhol to try to clip it to that far post, and it goes high, wide and long. First Sounders goal kick remains nil, nil stave and the pretty sums up pretty much sums up the first half or both teams as it comes to quality
in the final third. You know they've had no issue arriving there. It's not been a game that's been sort of labored and loss of build up in possession and sitting back. It's been end to end. It's just when they've arrived at the end of the final third. Both teams the quality has been severely lacking. Neither goalkeepers really been tested. A couple of decent chances set
pieces, but that's maybe something that both coaches. If it stays like this at half times, you've got to focus on how do we get that quolicy in the final third, because it seems like it may take just one volt to win this game. What step on Friday knocks it long stept out of bounds by Vancouver, the ball rolls out of play and Alex Roaldnan will collect it. I think both teams will try and see the last few minutes of this half out, try getting that locker room and get makes some tweaks and
changes and try to find a way to get on the ball. I think both teams will staining feel this is a very winnable game. As Freddy Montera plays it to Georgian Morris, it slide through Georgian Morris, who's initially played tiladarrem to attend to give us the ball away and it's Vancouver with Armed collects the ball in the farside. The right travels forward, plays the ball to Gold as knew who drops off Gold no real pressure. Ball goes it by
to Armed inside the box. Right side plays it along and it goes high and wide. It's gonna be a Sounders Gold kick. But chance to see it for Vancouver it's a big chance. And again and it's Gold. I think he's probably been the best bend of Quid so far. He's making things happen. Our Mad makes a great run in behind new Food there. Newfoo does just enough as he covers here. But it's just the quality of the
cross. It's not good enough. It's not good enough there. If you play that along the ground, you maybe give Brian White a chance to get there. Lifts away over Stephen Fry's Gold in behind. Fortunately for the sound is that quality piece has been missing. But Gold, you gotta get hold of him. He's been making a lot of things happen, and you give that kind of player more and more chance to make me happen. Eventually one
will stick. Bad comes in and it's Vita and the six yard Bucks and Flags, and it was miscontrolled initially by Vita but he picked up the second ball rolled down was not able to clear. Stephen Fry was pinned on his goal line and it was Vita in the forty fourth minute gets Vancouver ahead here at PC Place. Not what the Sounders want as they go into halftime. It's Vancouver won sounds nil and Vancouver most of their good work has come from
wide areas crossed in to the box. Alex was on the first mistake care he's way ahead of v to day gets too far ahead. VT takes a very poor touch which gives Alex was On a chance to recover. Then he takes a poor touch as the board drops a VTA there and nothing's ever a Fry can do as he's beating too the board first. It's a really, really poor goal. It's gonna see if you're the sounds, especially right before
halftime. It's a gift you've given the Whitecaps here. Now you give the home team and the crowd something to cheer about, something to hold on too, and it could be a long way back for the Sounders. It's not a type of goal you want to consider away from home. One nil to
the White Cups. Fanny Sartini should expect celebrates in the goal and certainly for Vancouver it was a It's been a kg game so far, both teams giving the ball away often in the middle of the field and the Sounders trying to build out the bat gave the ball away, Vancouver were able to collect it in the sound As half of the field and a ball into VT. It
should have been dealt with by Alex Holdun it wasn't. He was able to stab the ball home to put Vancouver up one goal to nil as Jordan morris Son the near side the right deep on the right corner, flicks the ball and give us it away to v to the goal scorer because the ball goes into Brian White, powerful player as Brian White came in from New York Red
Bulls. But the Sounders now pick up the ball. The extra mile stoppage time is two minutes as a Sounders try to build back into this game now and certainly Brian Schmittzer's halftime team talk Steve takes a much different look now. It's going to be a bit more fiery in the locker room. I think Brian Schmitzer won't be happy with this. I think an extra done once you've
got back into position defense first clear, the board asked questions later. You can't take a touch on your chest going towards your own goals six shards out, you give v to the chance to make off. He's almostake because he took a poor touch. And it's the simplest of finishes in the end, if you want, if a team's gonna beat, you make them earn it. But in that occasion, the Sounders gave it a way and the quality just hasn't been there. You could have maybe overlooked that. But now playing
from behind, there'll be a few choice words in that local room. A half time free quip for the Sounders. This near side the right as a sound As getting going with attentional quickly into Ladero, he skips away, Vita tries to play the ball through the legs of Martins. Martinez goes down, collects it and it's Vancouver now with gold and Martin's and Vita the goal scorer plays the ball back to Blackman. The Sounders of look relatively comfortable in this
first half. Several chances for Vancouver in transition, and again it was a goal that the Sounders will look back on to be extremely disappointed. At as the final seconds take by. Here we get into the third minute of injured time and there's the referees whistle. It was a disappointing into that first half. A Pedro Viti goal in the forty fourth minute puts Vancouver up one goal
to nil going in at halftime, Stevie, your final thoughts. Its disappointing because in the end you know both teams won't playing that will no role shots and goal schmes would have come in a half time, it would have been okay with it, saying let me now best were sitting in the game, let's make a push. Then to concede that goal, it really deflates you. It's a very very cheap goal to give away. And it won't be
only branch the Lexi Ladero, Stephen Fry. There'll be things to stay at halftime because you've really now got a light defined under you, because this is games like this or are a blip becomes a really bad run of form and you kind of that happened, so really disappointing at first half. We gotta turn that around. Second half, well, we'll take a short break. Jackson Feldts and Michelle Luca will be back to break it all down at halftime.

Now time for the Sounders FC halftime show forty five minutes in the books from BC Place in Vancouver, and I sure wish we had getten the same score as when it was forty three minutes in the books, because that was zero zero and now it is a halftime at one zero. Vancouver Vta goal in the forty fourth minute in a play that we kind of
got to just start the halftime show right now and break down. Jackson felt to Michelle Lubka here back in the booth in Seattle from KGr Studios, and Michelle that that play in the forty fourth minute that Vancouver got their goal on a cross comes in Alex rolled On. I guess the question is what was he trying to do, because at the end of the day, Vita gets positioned on him and he just needs to poke it past Stephen Fry very easily
for Vancouver's goal. It's tough to it's tough to defend Alex rolled On in that play. It's just it's it's one that he'll be looking back on tape and wanting back for a long time. I mean, everyone makes mistakes, but I think Steven Danny said it best. It's just you don't want to give up sloppy, easy goals to your opponents. You want them to have to really work for it. And nothing against Alex. Yes, he was at fault for that goal. It's it's unfortunate. I don't think he's going
to get over that anytime soon. But when I look at the numbers and look at the statistics of the first half, I'm really disappointed with the last full fifteen minutes. The first half, they gave up full possession to Vancouver. They had control where for leading up to that, I'd say the first you know, thirty minutes, the Sounders were in it kind of getting their
legs under them. Not a whole lot. There was a couple opportunities, but at least there was some flow, there was some connection, and there didn't seem to be the same kind of urgency over playing like when we saw on Wednesday against Austin. So I was like, Okay, let's get through forty five minutes and then let's take it up another notch in the second forty five. But now we're in a different place we are and d I mean,
Freddy Montero has been not involved at all in nine touches total. Sounders had a couple of chances that came in the first twenty minutes this match. I mean the third minute yet a corner that comes in and goms Ondrawde as a header at the back post that goes wide. That might have been the Sounders best chance. And then the nineteenth minute, another big chance corner comes in headed by Freddy Montero, comes at the foot of Javier Ariaga. His
shot goes well wide. But you know if after that, really, Michelle, you're absolutely right. The next twenty minutes where all the Vancouver Whitecaps, it's it's frustrating situation. But for the Sounders, you know, now you're down one nothing, and you know we'll take a break. We'll come back and take a look at the bench and talk about what Seattle can do here in the second half, because it will be an uphill battle. Down one

term agreement, Dylan Tevis, and a bear. Not only Michelle who needs to come into this match, but also how does Seattle need to change up how they're playing in order to get back in and at least get a point out of this? You know, for me right now, it's not necessarily making any changes in the lineup. I think I think at this point in time, yes, maybe a bear. When I'm trying to figure out who offensive minded needs to come in but I say give give the starting eleven some
more time. Traditionally, I think Sounders always play better in the second half. I would like to see them come out with some more fire. I'd like to see them playing with some energy, some passion, and not that they don't have passion, but just to see that extra just degree. For me, the thing that stands out the most is Vancouver is three three and one when scoring first, so it's not like they are unbeatable. Yeah, the Sounders still should win this game and can win this game. They just
need to get Freddie Moore involved. And I think just just light a fire. What do you think, Jackson? Yeah, no, I agree with that. I think you need to play more direct and I'm sure Danny Jackson Steve Zakwanie will have their thoughts in a few moments just the second half begins. But listen, nine touches for Freddy Montero. You need to feed him more. He needs to slide up the field a lot more. Yes, right now you have Nicholas Ladero and Freddie Montero, and and Freddie's sliding back
because he wants to be more involved. And you know that's natural of him because he has played a number ten orally he played number ten off the bench against Austin, so he wants to be in that spot. But at this point, right now, Freddie needs to involve himself in that attack. You
need to get Jordan and you need to get Leo running. If you are going to keep Leo Chew on the field, you know, for extended time, then you need to you utilize those wings and you need to do it like you did in the first twenty minutes of this match, which was getting a lot of corners. They may have four corners in the first fifteen or so minutes or for twenty minutes, so you gotta get back up the field. You gotta involve Freddie Moore, and you gotta, you know, test
Vancouver's backlund and test their keeper. There hasn't been enough of that today. It's frustrating because Sounders are down one nothing right now and you can't have back to back losses after what happened against Austin on Wednesday. It's a late goal in the first half by Vita got the Vancouver Whitecaps on the board. To Vancouver white Caps up one goal to nil against the Sounds, and we're gonna get right to
Brian Schmitz has made some immediate changes at halftime. Dylan Tevez is on the field for Leo Chew who comes off after good forty five minutes come back from his malaria illness, and Cody Baker's gonna slot in for a light for like spot. But Steve, what are your thoughts about Brian Schwitz and making those immediate changes going into the second half. Yeah, I think there's multiple reasons. One, he was not happy with that first half. I think you
know. Two that one will be probably performance based, not the best game from Meo chu A. Schmeszer says, Look, I'm gonna get guys in there who are hungry, who want to run, who want to try and gets back into the game and knew who maybe more of a pre planned one where you'd want to push him too much because he was pretty decent new But Baker has not put a really put a full wrong because he's been playing, so you're comfortable pahim out forty five minutes, But he would have lit a
fire under his team. You know, he could have subbed anyone out there and they couldn't have complained. So no one in the first half covered himselves in glory. They've got forty five minutes to turn around. Well sounded with a free kick left of center, about forty yards from the end line. As Ladero steps, I's gonna curl it inley Vancouver back line, sitting on
top of the PK spot deep in the eighteen year box. As they drop up or go, it's in a little short Gamar flicks it falls in to Brian White is able to clear it, but just up in the air and Gamar heads it back up a Tensio flicks it to the left hand side. Ladero is able to collect, save it deep on the left hand side.
The near side comes off. Martin's it's gonna be We'll see there's a Sounders corner kick or throwing deep on the left hand side, but it's gonna be a corner kick for the Sounders. An early corner kick on the Sounders left
hand side. As Ladero steps up, Dickerson tries to organized Tevers sitting on top of Takioka mentioned Zakiyoka, great shot stopper, not huge presence in terms of heights, So can you get the ball and sit it right on top of that six yard box and create a real challenge as the ball gets floated and it does drop but cleared by Blackman, falls to Rosneck right corner. The box ball goes down the line to Freddy Montero flicks it up and it's
Azariaga gets clipped off and out and it's struck by Cody Baker. Confidence strike by the young man fresh off the bench in the second half, fires it wide and long Gold kicks Vancouver mister gud start second off. It's what branch
Meister would have won it. I think in all the fiery talk at halftime and finger point, there would have been a guys, it's only one nil, and I think miss Showmans at a half time that the Sounders do tend to play well in the second half and you're gonna need a big performance save by It is only one nail the Sounders. I'm not losing this game two or three. No, it's not just a game that you can come back and draw. It's a game you can win. So, yes, first
half was pretty bad. You put that to one side. Second half, you come out, you trust on the front foot, and the first couple of minutes here it sounds I've done just that. Where you saw Jordan Morris's first involvement in the game, exploded off the blocks, showed some intent as met kind of tricks around, but it's gonna be a Sounder story on their left hand side, Cody Baker's gonna pick it up twenty five yards or so from the corner flag as the ball goes back to Oriaga getting his first start.
The MLS started games in the US Open Cup, but it's been Jackson Reagan who has taken a seat on the bench today to give them young men arrest after a number of games in the short season's been a busy may so far. As the Sounders play here in BC Place on the back of a two one loss in mid weeks Austin, but all goes into Ladero Clatteren into by Brown. It's gonna be a free kick for the Sounders on their left
hand side. But let's give you the Sounders line up now with those few changes, Stephen frying Gold a back four of roll down yeyma Oriaga and Baker, Atensio and Rosneck and then Maurice Ladero and Tevez and then Freddy Montero up
front. As the play ball goes short with Rosneck into Ladero's gonna clip it top of the box, flicked by Yema four to top of the six yard box, cleared well by Vancouver. Done a good job so far in this second half, clear in their lines, and they come out now in transition with Gold this near side the right plays born to Vita, the goal scorer, tackled by Cody Baker. Rosnack gets a yellow car clatters into Gold and about the halfway line it's gonna be free kick for van Cover. Seems a
quarting. Everybody already liked the urgency from the Sounds a bit more in the second half, you know, just just both sides of the board. The passing looks a bit more crisping going forward, and even just defensively, they're getting into people's faces. Yes, on that occasion Russnick is a bit late to the tackle, but in the first half Gold had ten yards of space to work on. Every time he got to the board, no one was close to him. So whatever was said at halftime, the messages sunk in.
It's been a decent open into the second half of the Sounders still can sharpen up a few things, but it's night and day with the energy that was so in the first half. The ball picked up by Ari Argue was
good play by the Sounders. They give it away again. Vita clecks the ball, plays the ball into Gold stepped forward by Yamar, goes into Morris, dropped to Freddy Montero tries to turn the corner on the border, but while defended by Vancouver, no free kick given as Ahmed plex it tries to knock it down the line and Cody Baker clex and able to turn out a pressure well away from Vita. Ball down the line is a nice outside of the foot passed down the line to Ladero, but just plays the ball square.
It's a way of it. As the ball goes though, Montera flicks it out to roll Down. Who's actually seeing of four yellow cards today, one more yellow card for Christian Roll for Alex Roll. Darn, it's going to be a suspension for the next game. As the ball goes over the end line for a Vancouver goal kick. But as Michelle mentioned at the half, Vancouver or not given to get that w going in with a lead.
They're actually one win and two losses when leading at halftime, So Vancouver, as much as the Sounders want to get that wink at their gate, their season starting again lost the last two games. It's Dallas in Portland as they knocked the ball long and game are not challenged, easily headed clear on the fast side. The Sounders right as the ball trickles out of bounds and Martin's
let's it go Tevers gets back in the defensive position. The Sounders now are gonna pay a higher press, but Steve it felt like the Sounders pressed high, but it wasn't altogether at times, and they did pick it off. They weren't able to transition quickly into the attack. It was very disjointed because we've seen times a season when the sound is pressed, has been all in sync and the wind the ball up high and and everyone joins the attack.
At this point it's one or two guys goal, not everyone goes, and it was very destointive someone they did win the ball. The player who won the ball was usually isolated with no one around him, and when the whole team was there, then the passer we're missing. So they haven't been able to put everything together yet in terms of both sides of the ball. There's been encouraging signs, so fine a second half or you're still really waiting for
that quality incisive passing. I can't remember really a moves. The sound is put together as a team three four passes running behind get Jordan one v one. Just hasn't happened so far, and that's been disappointing part of this game. Combination down the left hand side with Cody Baker as it gets to the left channel, flights to him with his right foot. Jordan Morris goes up.
It's goes over for a goal kick for Vancouver. Jordan Morris demonstrate the referee demanding it's a corner kick and it was good played by the Sounders. Down the left hand side. Cody Baker comes the left channel, comes in on his right foot, his preferred right foot, clips a nice ball all in, ball goes over the end line for what the referee gave us a goal kick. Yeah, it's a very good wall at Baker. I think the refe did change his mind. That's quite clearly a corner kick there.
And again Baker coming in training, good energy and it's exactly why he'd been pawn ball comes in whipped in top of the box. This strikes by Rosnack, blocked well by the white Caps double team on Rodsnap given away by the sound as Armed who comes away with it. As the ball comes back to the left hand side with Martins as Vancouver now building out the bag clips the
ball along to Brian White. The Yama is going to track that down and plays the ball back to Step and Fry in the sound as Gold Deck Tour and all black Sounders in rave green shirts, blue shorts and rave green socks shooting to the Gold to our left. Vancouver in the traditional white shirts, navy blue shorts and white socks attacking the Gold to our right as the Sounds pick it up middle of the field goes to the left hand side to Ladero.
Couldy Baker supporting around the side, goes into Jordan Morris, but will collector bit so the Dara picks of the pieces, tries to think to Jordan Morris, he gets a flicks it around him. Takioko is able to smother the ball quickly came out with the danger. But it's a chance, a half a chance for Jordan Morris. Steve is a half chance. We've not
seen enough for Jordan Morris. I think Jordan for sure, he's more comfortable on the left hand side and he's been very good in central positions this season. Makes a good run off the board, doesn't quite get enough contact there, but it was a nice look by the Darren. I think Jordan actually could have maybe done more with that. I guess a good connection lists over the goalkeeper. He gives him, Montero and Tever the chance to run into or go top of the box. Brian White strikes it as a weak shot
in the end, collected easily by Stephen Fry. Let's get you the Vancouver starting lineup. Tachi yo Quin Gold for the back of Brown, Laborda Blackman, Martin's Burholter, Kubas and are mad in the midfield, Vita the gold scorer Gold and then Brian White up top. So no change in personnel for
Vancouver. Two changes for Brian Schmitzo the half with Tevez and Cody Baker coming in for Chew and knew Who. As a Sounders now trying to pick up the pace, pick up tempo, try to find themselves back into this game. And I'm sure there were some choice words at halftime from Brian Schmitzer. There's one thing to know about Brian, the passion he's got for these Cascadia games. There's certainly alive, and he spoke about that against Portland with his
players. You don't understand what a rivalry means. It feels like they're coming out of a bit more popular. Second half of the ball goes to Jordan Morris, finds herself to Freddy much are but cleared eventually by Vancouver. It finds yourself on the left hand side until Darrow, as he tries to command attention where to go, eventually clicks it towards the end line. Left foot
clips to the back post. Isn't good looking cross? Sak Yoga gut found himself and no man's done really went over the top attack yoga back post cleared by Blackman. There was a chance for attention on the left hand side. Peek, I mean it's almost too good of a cross on Attenil did ask perf He's just begging for a player to run on twines. It would be a simple tap in Boss Montero and John Morris in the box they ball froze.
It's a fantastic ball. If he's left foot by Tens your day ball comes in and back to Ladera on the right and side flix it in with us inside his foot because eventually gets there's going to be a free kick given to the Sounders. It was Oriaga who went down. I felt like he'd been pulled to the ground. And Steve za Quae, I'll get your name right. I think I've said Pete, it's an honor to be confused a pistol. Pete. Honestly, well, Pete stepped in well for you on
Wednesday, and the aura of Pete feuing remains. But the Sounders, I mean, Brian Schutz is gonna be happier right now ten minutes into this first in this second half, yes, Vancouver lead one Gold to nil, the sloppy goal to give up the end of that first half of the set, But Brian will be happy with the responses teams made in the second half. Yeah, I think Spens will be happy. What you see in Vancouver White Cups aren't ripping the sound as apart. It was a goal that would have
been easily preventable, so that would be disappointing. But response has been good. He's got the energy from the players, there's more balls into the box. The Sounds look like the likeliest team to score, and you have a long way to go here. Only takes a second to score a goal, so they'll still be playing and hoping for the win. And I think for the two subs he's made, he's got the reaction wanting from the group, a lot more energy, and they're putting the White cups under pressure at the
same time. Where you go searching for a goal, you sometimes leave a few more gaps defensively, so you still got to stay aware to not let in transition, especially as Gold carries the ball and Whites in there. The wake ups still do carry that threat. It's gonna be Vancouver with the throw and the long throwing deep on their right hand side, with Brown throws the ball in towards black Men. Black An eventually collects it between two sound as
players crossing in the box cleared by Yama. Its Gonda Brown, who shepherds it out of players. Could be another Vancouver thrown on their right hand side. There's near side about eighteen yards from the corner flag. As he takes some steps back to launch another thrown in as it comes in all the way towards Blackman or the border. It's black and strikes it blought well by Yamar top of the six yard Bucks, but it's Burr Halter to Martin too.
This left foot clips to the back post Stepfron Frying just wide of the post. Stepron Fry took a step forward and it found itself between goalkeeper and back line. Eventually finds itself out for a goal kick for the sounds, but another chance for Vancouver staff, big, big chance, and once again it's service into the box. That's the one thing the wire cups have done.
What's a fantastic boarding If you're a reargued that you cannot be trying to shield that you have to deal with as a center back because you don't know what's behind you. At least definitely Frying Norman's land and a slightly better finish and the sounds with four two no behind her, those all defenders know. Deal with the defensive side first and then have the argument Africa when the balls and the stands as Vancouver left hand side cuts all back to Gold, who turns
he strikes at his end. It was a hand by stepfend Friday wasn't strong enough. They slipped underneath the right palm of Step and Fry from a swivel shot by Gold from about fifteen yards out and it's Vancouver get the first goal in this second half to make it Vancouver too Sounders nil. I mean, we can say against the run of play all we want, but the White Cups have taken their chances again. It's in the wide area, ball across into the box and it's a really really good finished by goal. Stepha Fry
can't quite get there in the end. I think it comes off the post and it's Stephan Fry in the back before nestling into the into the bottom corner. There the White Cups double their lead and the Sounders, for all their purposefulness and higher energy in the second half, it hasn't generated many chances. And at the first sign of the White Cups attacking the second half, they double their lead and now it's a long way back for the Seattle Sounds.
Two nails to the White Cups. Well, Gold had a chance in the first half and he pulled it wide with his right foot. Time makes no mistake with his stronger left foot as he hits the ball low into Stefan fries right corner and Stephan Frin was able to get a fingertip to it. It came off the post that Steve mentioned, ricocheted off fries back and rolled into the back of the net. As the Sound is now in a hole again
here a BC place like they were against Austin. They have to come from behind, and certainly with the games that have piled up so far, this is not the type of result and score that Sounds want to work from because it's gonna take some hard work and some hard graft to get themselves back in this game. As Ahmed goes down, it's going to be a Vancouver thrown
on their right hand side. As you look at this replay here Steve he was a cutback for Martins and it almost caught Stephan Fried by complete surprises. He turns around and sees the ball trickle over that end line into the back of the net. Yeah, it looks some one of those were Stephan Fries may have been a bit blocked by the players in front of him. Bold Is everything great there? You hit it hard and low. You never know what can happen. But again it was just for the sound. Is this
disappointing? How easily the White cups going to the final third. The danger has been in the white area and they come forward again. Here Martine similar spark gets down and cross the ball is able to collect it from the Amar's clearance. Top of the box. Burholter goes from center to write to Ahmed close down by Baker go to the far post and roll. Dan flicks it
out, is able to collect his clearance. It finishes up by launching along, but it finds itself to the feet of Kubas inside sounded hard for the fields. The ball goes to the right hand side Brown to Armed Well defended by Baker, quick a little slip by the young man is able to find his feet and goes out for a Vancouver thrown on this near side the right twenty five yards from the corner flag, and Steve will see what type of
changes Brian is going to make in terms of formation and personnel. As the ball comes in cleared by Ariaga to Rusneck and the Sounders definitely need Rusnac and Ladera's influence and experience now to try and find themselves back in this game as they come with Tevers as he crosses the halfway line, plays the ball into Montero, George Morrison's support left hand side. Ball gets a little wide, but George Morris able to collect as he attacks Brown comes back to Attensio twenty
five yards from Gold slides it back to the left. Cordy Baker in support a halftime stuff for new who to rust that good for such top of the box let the arrow gets his pocket picked and it's Kubas was able to clear with his right foot down the line, but it's Attensio and the Sound is now getting some consistent pressure in the Vancouver half of the field goes through Ladera
tries to find Attensio on the left hand side. It's Bacon's gonna pick it up to Rusnack, middle of the field, head up, no real pressure, twenty five yards and Gold flicks it to the right hand side with roll dance, slide down the line to TeVeS inside the box, cutback, nobody there for the Sounders and for Vancouver. It's an easy collect an easy break with Gold now plays the ball to Martin's left hand side. It collects the ball again in sound of territory and that fast side the left. As a
Sound has now worked themselves back. It look a little bit jarred at this point, Steve. It's going to take that experience and maybe a couple of changes, some new life on this team. And as you said that first ten minutes of the second half. They had that momentum, They had a bit of fire in their belly, as Michelle talked about, and that second goal is taking the window of the sales. Yeah, branch, miss he
got the response he wanted from the group. But I think now he's got to change something where his formation or personnel, and I think the next subby makes will kind of give us his intention. If it's jar Parlel, then you think it okay. He still believes it can come back and get something from the game. If you put some one of the young players and takes off on a day row of rosnack, then you're basically saying, look, we came up there tonight, we didn't have it. It's on to next
week. So we'll see what happens next year. But the white Caps certainly in a strong position, and don't forget it, they still have the knights of Kisdo and aggressive to still come off the bench as well. We can see a couple of making themselves ready for Vancouver on the sideline as the ball goes from center to the left hand side to Martin's again in support. He cuts the ball to gold top of the box, no real pressure, tries
to flick it over Stepfri and Brian. It goes over the top for a Sounders goald kit remains Vancouver two Sounders nil, and here we see the substitutions that were preparing themselves, Julian Gressel getting ready to come on the field, and Gressel was a surprise exclusion for the starting line. I've had a great start to the campaign so far. Four assists on the years he comes on the field. For Ahmed there's been lively and then the goal scorer Vita it's
going to come off the field and one gold Wednesday at Dallas. Another goal today there's been a typical one for the Sounders so far. As Vanni Sartin, he's able to bring some experience off that bench and get some fresh legs to see this game out. But for the sound as now as they look into this two goal to nil, Devasito Mountain to climbers. Shop comes off the field and we can see that Jordan Morris also made way for young read
Baker Whiting. As the Sounders trying to find some youthful energy to find themselves back in the game. The ball goes to ladera cut into it bears also on the field. Brian Schmidz are making two more changes to his lineup as Ladera and Morris have gone off the field. Montera staying in the number ten read Baker Whiting on the right hand side. At least Alex rolled down it
makes way as well. Four yellow cards so far. Brian Schmidzer trying to save his legs as read Baker Whiting will slot in for a light light spot Steve on that right hand side. Yeah, thanks for Lake and I think you know Bran Smancer, Yes, can you get somebody from this game? But we've not seen John parlaffin as a big, big message setting there or
comes in. It's rush goes aheader flash out of the front post. It was a world work corner kick and again that it was reactionary saved by Tak Yok who talked about his shot shot stopping ability and he showed it right there as a Sounders getting lined up for another quarter kick. The ball comes in
whipped in by Ladera's left foot as read Baker White and collects it. Ex Ladera to Whiting picks the ball up far post, cleared by Brown, collected by Dressel Psgressive drops its a gold because he wriggles free plays the ball down the line to Brown challenge well by Attensi as he slides across and the Sounders now gotta find a way back into this game early now with as they trailed two goals to nil. Here at BC plays on nine fifty KGr am.
Sounders FC Soccer is presented by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders FC. If it's a sound as you look at this and you're thinking you have twenty five minutes, bus stoppers time meeting twenty five thirty minutes, there's plenty of time to get back into this game. This game is by no means over. It takes a set piece. I'm am more of British to get the goal. Branch. Mets has a lot of the young players out there and for this kind of game you can see why he's doing that. The
energy is going to be there. They hungry, got a point to prove. He has not got what he'd have won it from his veterans and we'll see what he does formation why he has a bet and Montera ball from the field. Two players who lets operate mainly from central positions. It looks like Nadero's hugging his left hand touchline more than he wasn't a first half as well. Cody Baker inside the box because towards the end line drills it across well.
It beads to the front corner to the Ladero inside the box trys to flick it to Montero played well by Vancouver, but only to Baker White, who clicks The ball goes to the far post, isn't able to fall to Cody Baker and he collects it on the near side the left on the end line comes back to Atensio rus Neck little combination with Ladero's Ladera picks it up left corner of the box out to Cody Baker as he drills the ball off Brown and it goes out for a Sounders throwing on the left hand side.
As Steve seems that Brian has made his moves. Now, Yes, and I was curious to see do we see jar Parlow. If you see jar Parlo, then he's going to really go for it right now. Yes, they'll go for it, but he doesn't want to risk anything. That's why you with draw John and Morris jar Parlo and it's not quite waving the white flag, but it's really is saying, look, we've done this off a big hole here. I don't want to risk any injuries or put players out
there. We've had a lot of minutes on them. If we get something back, great, Otherwise it's one of those games you lose, you go back down nine five and you try to fight again next week. Sounders in possession working themselves in the back with Oriaga, but Sounders founds. Referee Dickson eventually give us a free kick. It was Burholter on Attensio trying to shield the ball.
Ball on the deck. Sound As free kick as they get it going quickly with Rosneck from center to left, given away cheaply again to Brown, easily collected off his chest, finds Gressel on the right hand side, this near side the ripe Brown inside to Gold score of the second goal. As he flicks the ball down to Gressel goes top of the box, Brown,
White to Gold across the six yard box. Played well by read Baker Whiting, but it's gonna roll out of bounds through the Vancouver bench of another chance for Vancouver Steve Zacquary it is, and again it was a poor giveway by Russneck there just gave the white Caps a chance to get out Gold at the
center of it. Again, it's well defending in the end by Baker Whiting, because if he's not there, it's a simple tapping at the back post of our teams I think there and it would have been three nail and that would have been game set match. While Schmetz has done here with the lineup changes, Ladero's went out to the left hand side, Montero's dropped back into the ten who have tams on the right hand side, and it's a bear
who's a forward by Nicoladero. He's going to tuck inside, which is given Baker opportunity to be the high and wide on the left hand side, he has the freedom to get forward in the attack. But so far it hasn't really paid dividence for the Sounders. But it really was Bran Smiter's last fright of the dice. It's the guys out there now who's trusting to getting back into the game. Baker White as Cody Baker, I apologist on the left hand, so I tries to find the ball into Montero cleared by Laborda.
Vancouver stood strong so far. The Sounders are trying to find that opening as a pick up the possession level in the second half and it's what Brian Schizer would have wanted from his team. Sixty seven percent possession now on the sea and half for the Sounders, very much like it was against Austin as they trying to come from behind, dominating possession. The second half of the ball
goes into a bear defended well by Blackman. As a the bear gets pushed to the left hand side, coming back top of the box, miscontrolled by attention, he goes flying in as a yellow card unfortunately earned by Atensio as a poor first touch goes flying in to try and retrieve yellow card for the young midfield player. Yeah, it's a bad first touch. I liked the run from a bear. Lackable fro nicoladero and now it's feel if you're a striker. You received the board in the box, don't leave the box.
A bear was inside the box. When you're inside the box, the defenders can't really touch you, and the bear's very good back to gold. You could have held it up, wait for the support to come. Playing the ball back outside the box into a tensio. It relieves the pressure from the wake Cups back line. It's just not many times that we've seen the wake Ups back line facing their own goal running towards their own goal. There's been
no running in behind and that's been disappointing. Everything's pretty much been in front of the wake Cups back line. And yes, you can find success that way. You have much more chance when you do it multiple waves, boards that wide, boards in front and boards in behind. We've not seen enough off the board running from the sounders and asked made it relatively easy, but it's Vancouver ware Cups back lane Vancouver two two sounders nail here at BC plays
nine fifty KGr am. Sounders came out of the gates flying in the second half, but somewhat gets to run a play Vancouver able to find that second goal. Sounders of dominate possession the second half, double the amount of passes, double the possession, but so far afflicted. Headed by Russneck. A couple of crosses into the box puts. Sounders need to find some higher quality
chances on goal, trying to get themselves back into this game. As Brian Schmitzer sits back, made his moves as a Bear drops more into the number ten Montera now at a slide to the left hand side. As Yeamar clears the ball, tevers sub shoot a half time, plays the ball to it. Bear picks the ball up. Good lord, quick feet by your Bear gets away from trouble, plays the ball to the right hand side, the
fat side to Baker Whiting. Nothing forward, goes back. Give it away cheaply again by Yamar, and that's gonna really frustrate the Sounders coaching staff. As he trying to find himself back in the game. It's Gold twenty five yards and Gold left of center, goes to the left hand side, back to Martin's the assist maker for the second goal for Gold, as Gressel four
assists on the campaign so far. Substitute in the second half as its Vancouver now, as the crowd getting more and more into it, as the olay with passes as black woman flicks the ball square all the way across the lab borders Brown in support towards the hardwater in this near side the right Sounds can't get near the ball right now. As the ball goes in, Yamo steps in, Wrestoll finds gold top of the box, comes in towards his left foot, finds the ball to the far left hand side. Shots say who
was a sebassian? Bur Halter found himself on the left hand side in the box and eventually a week shot with his left foot is collected by Stefan Fries Teams really really poor finished from Berhrt. It's got to be saying that move deserved the gold in the Whitecaps, I mean left to right, pull the Sounders defense apart all over the place. Gold once again with a tremendous feetball. He's been everywhere. Best play on the pitch this evening, and that
shows you why the White Cups are two No up. Could have been three, No there could the sound is you still have the feeling a gold changing the compression of the game, but just hasn't been enough quality in the final third of their role. Montero a bear Russnack as well. For the players
you have out there not generating enough. I think it's one shot on gold for the Sounders and it's just branch mess Andy Staff will be scratching the head at what exactly can they fixed that's going wrong here, because there's no reason this attack could not get more at his Vancouver Ware Cups back line, we
just have not seen it. Yep, Like you said, four shots in total, one shot on target and again it was Sounders feel like they've struggled if they've dominated possession at times over the last couple of weeks and just haven't been able to put possession and passes into good goal scoring opportunities. That the ball goes down the right hand side, Cody Bakers slides across off the toe
of Julian Gresil, runs out of bounds. Gresil, German player came across played in college, got his citizenship in the fall of twenty twenty two, and then called up to US men's national team camp. So the young man's at a really great last six months played at Atlanta United and DC before finding himself in Vancouver. Two hundred plus games, twenty two goals, sixty four
as System his career so far. As the ball gets launched in long headed clear by Atensio, miscontroled by Ladera as Brown is able to clear it back in and falls to the feet of Gold, who clips the ball into shop substitute in this second half square to Burr Halter. It's the left hand side of Martin's assist on the second golf of Gold. As the ball goes from center to this near side the right, Brown cuts the ball back to Gressel, goes allway to the bat post, headed back in as a oh gad
bicycle kick, and it's Brian White who's able to head it. Beni has scrambled, saved by Stephen Fry. System referee puts his flag up. The Sounders see get away with another one. They do, and it's disappointing because it's the White Cups who are playing with more hunger here. You'd think they were two no down, and it seems the Vancouver As this game goes on, the Vancouver white cups are more likely to get the next goals in the Seattle Sounders, and you never want to see that. Whether you're one,
no down, two, no down, three, no down. You never stopped playing, but for the sound as they gave a push and for the moment it fell behind, its been all one way traffic. Gold top of the box comes in as left foot t as a curl. It's that far post blocked by Baker, but it falls to the feet of Shop on the left hand side. The fast side comes into Martine's top left corner of the box, flicked the outside his foot to Barholter towards the end line, blocked
by Atensio. It's gonna be a Vancouver corner kick and Steve, it's all Vancouver lest the last five or seven minutes, so you mentioned, is gonna disappoint Brian Schevetz a good response from his team. That will because Bryans, you want to fight whoever you're losing two or you go down swinging, and the sounds at the moment the way they're going out, the momentums begin to shift to the ware cups as if the belief is un there that we can
come back. And that's never been a Sounders way. Even if you're two no down, ten minutes to goal, you keep fighting. We're not seeing that right now. Ball gets swung in, flicked, the bat post is gonna roll out of bounds for a Sounders goal. Kick. Urgency is the name of the game now. As a Sounders get into the seventy seventh minute here at BC Place, Vancouver, two Sounders nil, and this copyrighted audiocasts of Major League Soccer may not be retransmitted, reproduced, or rebroadcast without the
express written consent of Major League Soccer. As Vancouver pick it up middle of the field, trying to find Brian White in behind, cut out well by Yama, both bouncing around in the middle of the field, eventually given away again by the Sounders, this time with Yemar. The ball gets shifted from center to left as Vancouver enjoy possession the sound As half of the field and then go all the way back to Takioka as a Sounders pressed a little high
with it bear as the ball goes long. Vancouver not messed around two goals up here at the game against the Sounders on the back of a win last September two goals to one Before that win in September, it was fifteen games without a result for Vancouver. Sounders have dominated this matchup in recent times, but falling behind here in the second half by a second goal from Ryan Gold as the Gold scorer picks the pocket of Cody Baker, lets Vancouver come away
with it again. It's been the story so fast Steve, too many cheap giveaways by their Sounders, and that's the difference there Gold, who's been very good on the ball. Here these teams tune up just over a quarter of an hour to Gold still tracking back, still making tackles, still trying to win the ball. It's that little bit of separation, especially in the league like MLS, where most other things are equal. It's something just come down
to on the day. Who wants it more will make that little run more and the soundless for the most but have done it. But since going two no down, you haven't felt the sense at all that the Sounds will get back into the game. And I think overall from today that's what we'll let Branch mess it down. You can accept a loss, sometimes it's the way you lose. And the teams right now is going out without a fight, so It's gonna be some real heartfelt conversations on that bus ride back down and
you have to have them. You have to have them at this point because you had a great start of the season. You cannot wrestle up the whole time. Something has gone wrong in recent weeks and you have to come out swinging and we're not seen enough fight from the group right now. Well, it's the fifth game in May for the Sounders. It's a little fatigue Steve at this point, you know, just mentally and physically trying to get themselves
back in this game. They've been there before this month Austin Sporting case, obviously the Galaxy as well. It's been been a tough May so far in terms of results. Yeah, has been in the sound As you think about it, came in a bit earlier than most team to prepare for the Champions League. You understand all of that. But at the same time, when you think of those games on an individual basis, you know, you paid a Kandacity team that was not winning. You paid an Austin FC team that
was not winning. You know, Houston, you have to go down to nine men, We've got a last minute gold. It just hasn't been convincing, and fatigue only takes you so final those moments bred Baker Whiting inside the box, ball clips off his heel. Eventually assistant referee puts his flag up. Look like he was half a yard or so offside. It's a good, good, little quick combination through the middle of Baker White and trying to
find the ball over the top and got himself in an offside position. But steve as you may, and it's it's a factor the sounder to try to get back on the horse. Now they're gonna get a week to prepare themselves for New York Red Bulls next week, and now Jiao Paolo comes on for a tensio. Is that making a statement to his senior players saying, hey, listen, two nil, let's gonna find a way to win, or at least say hey, it's not good enough. We're gonna have to pick
this up. You're gonna have to pick up. And I think, Brian Schts, I think post game they won't be much talking. I think that it's the kind of lost the players know, and we're saying it with still ten minutes to go, plus you never know what can happen. Or you're not seeing that on the pitch right now. So many times in the past over the years, the sound of team have been behind two nil, three nil, and you get the sense the team can still make something happen.
It's just missing at the moment right now. And I think that's what Brian Schmittzer and his coach stuff will be scratching their heads about, because you can't quite put your finger on it. Is it tactical, is it personnel? Is it injuries? Missing players? And it can be only above. But at some point you can only feel sorry for yourself for so long. The players who are out there have stuffing be counted. And I think for today this is not about Baker and Baker, Whiting and Tever. You look at
Ladero, Roos Snack, Freddie Montero. That's the guys that didn't show up today. And you have to be honest and they'll be big enough to shoulder it and realize, what's gwen wrong, what's there in me? It's a long way to the season. The sky is not falling. Well, you do want to fix this sooner than later? Well, then Brian Schwetzi will definitely point to those sound as fans in the crowd. Those ones have made the trek at the I five corridor to watch their team. The certain the
fans deserve a performance of guts and energy. So far, the Sounds a finding difficult to break this Vancouver team down. As Yamar plays the ball to the far side of the right to read Baker White ting got pressure from Martins, has to go back. Japowler picks it ups, able to drive the ball from center to the far side the left. Ladero plays the ball in to Montera. Flick around the corner to a bear slight missed control, but it's able to find jar Paolo's now kind of dictate some tempo in the middle
of that field. Read Baker Whiting inside to Ladera, pressured quickly by Gold As the ball goes to Tevers right inside, ball comes in along the six yard box. Here was a chance. There was a well crossed ball by TeVeS flash between that space, think goalkeeper and back line. The Sounders aren't able to capitalize. It goes out for a Vancouver throwing on the fist side and it's a good boarder by Tevis puts the right in the right place.
There you have a Ben Montero bath Day just to lose both. Maybe in the end the pace on the balls it just a little bit too much, but that's what you won from Dylan tevens Day getting that wide, dangerous balls across the box, just not quite on the same page as Aber or Montero who were in the box and the ball goes out harmlessly for a throwing and as the wait has made a couple of changes here, a couple of changes
with the Sounders, I mean for the Vancouver called Dover. The DP signing that played so well for RSL last year, signed in the off season, comes on the field for Brian White to put in a really good shift up front. Four goals for Brian White in two twenty three. Cordova comes on the field and then Ryan Gold who got that second goal really boss that midfield had a chance in the first half, flashed it wide and the young Simon
Betcher comes on the field. Four goals on the year for Simon Betcher, who signed his pro contract with the first team in the offseason, had a flying start to his Whitecaps career because he comes on for Ryan Gold as a Sounders now clear the ball but unable to pick up the second ball as Shop tries to go around JP's fouled. Is going to be a Vancouver free kick
middle of the field. But Sounders FC is back home next weekend to face the New York Red Bulls on Saturday May twenty seventh at seven thirty pm. Watched the match via the MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app and listen on ninety three point three KJR FM or LAY thirteen sixty am in Spanish. The Providence, Swedish pre match radio shows start at seven pm. You can also grab your tickets at Sounders fc dot com slash tickets. Sounders throw goals.
The ball goes from Rusnack all the way to the left hand side, but Brown's gonna easily collect that. No chance for Ladero is the Sounds now play a slightly higher pressed than Takioka and the Vancouver goal and he launches it for it doesn't take any chances. And that was a clash right on the back of Cody Baker. That was nasty by Cordova. There's an inadvertent clash book. I was right in the back of the head as Goodie Baker goes down hard. Yeah, it can be a nasty one. Day. You're
hoping it Bakers okay, because he's blindsided. He doesn't see called overcoming towards him. I think it's a fair attempt by both players to play the ball. But Baker, yeah, he just clatches him on the head then and then maybe just in the right short even looks like Baker is gonna be okay. Luckily that wasn't worse than it looks. Shoulder US's head, which is always a good thing. There's a sound of tramp build with Rosneck and Yamar
pressure from bettering Yamar, give us it away again. It's in several times this second half. As Vancouver come in transition. Better tries to flick it to shop cleared by the sounders as Tabs helps it on its way, but only finds Martins on the left hand side, the fast side to shop to grass or play more central role from that typical right spot. So he carries
the captain's armband. When Ryan Gold went off the field, close down, well by your bear, there's gonna be a Vancouver throwing on the near side the right as Steve it's going to be disappoint We getting the eighty sixth minute Sounders trailing two goals to nil. Here BC plays against Vancouver. It's gonna be a long journey home for this team, a long journey Horman, a long journey Horman needed, and a lot of soul such he needs to happen.
It's not too early in the season to really look deep inside and figure out what's wrong and why we just can't quite get get going in games recently. It seems like even though recent went against Houston, it still felt like, no, it feels eleven v eleven. Would we have won that game? So Martin's plays didn't Curly Baker because the as it well corner kick for Vancouver. So if you're the sounds, I think you do have to look
inside. And it's gonna take the leadership of the Stephen Fries and Nicolodero's the job parlos talking to each other trying to figure out what's going wrong. You can lose games. There's also a way in which you lose games, and I think today what's let us down is the way we've lost it ever since going down too Nail never really believe that we can get the game back to two two, and that's the concerning But for Brian Schmiso, you can go
down fighting and lose the game and you accept it. The Sound is sort of laid down after the second goal, despite making a pretty good start to the second half. That one goal deflated them and that's where the questions have to be asked. At the moment, Vancouver corner kick on their right hand side, it's gonna be Gressile with his right foot outswinging corner kick goes in short the top Callerboux flicked by Batcher with a back of his heel, finds
itself rolling over the end. It was Laborda who got in front, unable to put it over the endline for a Sounders goal kick. The Sounds comory bit quickly there with Yama building as a sound As trying to find that goal to get himselves back in this game. In the eighty eighth minute, it's Vancouver two Sounders Nillers. Rosnack twitched it from the center to left. Ladera on as near side as he carries the ball across the field, but almost
a chief giveaway collected by Tevers Yama Ariaga. Sound is gonna have to find a way to try and penetrate and tests tak Yoka in the Vancouver goal has been untested for most of this game. As Steve we talked to Brian Schabetz about the attacking third and maybe the lack of goal scoring opportunities created in the last few weeks and again tonight similar similar case scenario. Yeah, no real clear chances, a couple of half chances. The best chances really fall into
the center backs. Yamar's head off very early on and the chance that Ariaga had we took a touch turn then fired, he shot white. Aside from that through the run of play hasn't really been much created. Now it's a sounder seemed that at some point you expect to bring back Christian Rodan, Raoul Louis Diaz. Yes, you'll be a different team, but still way too much quality and depth in this group to have the run of results they've had.
And it's also not just the result, it's the performance. The performance level has dropped significantly since the start of the season. It's not one player or two players, it's multiple players. You have a level on the field. If two or three are off, you can still win. When it's five, six, seven, eight, not at the best. It becomes very hard in MLS to not only win, to let alone get a draw, and that's what we're seeing laterally, too many guys having nights off at
the same time, and that's hurting the team right now. Stephan Fryar was asked during the week about losing against teams that are below them and have going through struggles morning casec. Of course, Vancouver Portland had the same issue Austin in the middle of the week. But all these teams are talented and it's about getting out of the funk. And right now the Sounders of find themselves in that type of situation where the game next week against Red Bulls becomes ever
more important. It does, and I think the next ray I think is three home games. It's Red Bulls, it's San Jose and then it's Portland. So I think, listen, you're gonna lick your wounds a little bit here. Probably give the team a couple of days off. Everyone, get away, gold, play golf, go, spend time with your family. Just get away, and when you come back in, let's get to work to really right the ship. And you do that. If you win the
next three home games to get nine points, no one's complaining. So I think it doesn't take much to turn things around. But at the moment, you don't see where that spark is coming from. You don't see how this team is gonna get back to the concehesiveness and creating chances and that free flowing football something you're just missing. At the moment, sound is able to collect the ball top of their eighteen yard box. It was a Vancouver in transition.
JP carrying the ball forward, goes left to Ladero down the line to Bear, but cut out well by Vancouver. Fall to the feet of JP, thirty five yards from Gold center of the park, flicks it from center to right to read Baker, Whiting, Vancouver to Seapple Mill Here at BC Place, the score update is presented by Provident Swedish. As we get towards the end of nineteen minutes, we'll see how much time the Sounders get on the board and the extra mile stop each time. It's gonna be four minutes.
Four minutes. The Sounders to find something magical to get himself back in this game. The ball goes to Coddie Baker inside the box. The left hand side goes still a Dare or left corner of the box. Gressel defending towards the end line. Ball goes in easily collected by Brown had actually gone over the end line. It's gonna be a goalkie for Vancouver. Remains Vancouver
two Sounders, NOI And for the Whitecaps, they've done their job. I don't think even had to be at their brilliant best to win this game. The White Cups have been okay, and I think they've been an opportunistic capitalize on a couple of chances they had, and what they've done well is get the board into the wide areas and put balls into the box. That's something that the sound has struggled really to deal with. But for the Vancouver Whitecaps
didn't. They did not have to be great to win the game. And normally when the Sounds a flying teams have to play really well to beat the Sounders. So it's very rare to see, especially in a derby game. Hasn't really voken the Sounders up here. You've lost a Poland to Image and I've gone to Vancouver and lost as well. You never want to lose to your rivals in conference, rivals, especially your Pacific Northwest rivals in the Cascadia.
So there's so many things that will be disappointed. Branch messed up today and one of them will just be the lack of fight to try and come back from Tino down, which are disappointing considering his comments after the Portland game. Yeah, because the ball goes in behind to cordover the ball, stephron fright comes out, He got a nasty challenges. He sits on the ground. It was a trailing life by Cordova. Stephron Frey extremely angry coming out
of that one. Felt like he was a leg left and that challenge Steve. Yeah, and Cordova is gonna say that Yama has pushed him into Stephan Frey. We've ever seen a replay here yet to see exactly what a contact was there. But Stephan Fry comes out really well off his line. There's definitely contact between him and Cordova. The referee has a yellow card in his time. This is likely going to Cordova here. He's gonna claim he was
pushed by Yamo. Here. I find the big columb In defender just got his body in between his goalkeeper and the man, which you're allowed to do. And I think in the end, inadvertently Cordova runs at the Stephan Fry Russ knag Ladero Jo Paolo all surround the referee. They're not happy. They wanted more there. Stephen Fry also wasn't happy at all, so we'll gain
a first took on the replay. So good boarning behind Yamo's running there, a little shove in to Cordova and he does leave his leg out Cordova as he goes down there and makes a lot of contact with Stephen Fryes' thigh. That's gonna leave a nasty one at that dead leg top of the thigh that that can linger hopefully for Stephan and Fry's not too bad and he can get that taken care of during the week. As we see on a replay, was a left foot trailing that caught Stephan Fry on the quad. That's gonna
be a sore one for the Soundless goalkeeper as well. Getting into the final minute. As this game, this disappointing game, this Cascadia rivalry matchup, this one hundred and forty nine game between these two clubs dating bats to nineteen seventy four, and for the Sounders, it's good a game that they want to figet. Yeah, it will be, and it's one of the games you don't really want to watch back. You don't want to see again.
But there's probably a lot you can learn from this. A lot you can learn from this from this game for Brian Schmutzer, good and bad for his players, but you're hoping that as a season goes on, these so performances become true and far between we'll look back on. It's just saying it was just a blip. It's not who the Sounds really are. The Sounders are more so the team we saw in the first three or four games, a team that was flying, look confident, guys running off the board for each
other. Defensively was solid. And we've got to be said as well that the soft goal, they're not special goals at the whitecap score, they're not breaking the Sounders down, and it's just really really cheap goals that are so avoidable, and those are the ones that drive coaches nuts just because you watch so hard in training to avoid mistakes. You can accept when the team is brilliant and beat you, but when you're playing a role in your own demise,
that's why it's tough to accept. Cody Baker inside the box, it finds in bed just wide. It was good combination with Freddy Montero. It was a bear that took a quick shot. When why goal kick Vancouver remains too nil? First bit of good football to sounds. I've really played where all the attackers are in there, one touch, two touch, boards moving
well. Just too bad is coming to ninety fourth minute? Definitely too little, too late Monterro, Ebert a couple of nice one twos and hey bet does very well, try to direct the board towards goal, gets his angles just wrong as it flies past the post, and that should be it. Now sounds too nil. Went to the ninety fifth minute and looks like the Sounders have to accept a disappointing result and the referee whistle goes to bring this
game to an end. Goals by Veta in the forty fourth minute and what has been given as a Stephen Fry own goal in the fifty eighth minute after after a shot from Ryan Gold gets the three points for Vancouver. Steve, your final thoughts just disappointing for the sounds. Disappointing. You know in MLS no team will ever go unbeaten. That that's not gonna happen. You're gonna
lose games, but there's always a weight in which you lose games. And it's very rare in my time with the Sounders that I've seen a team just sort of lose a game like this way came out second off, you're one note down, Schmidza makes a couple of changes and the energy is good. Funders are fighting back, and then when a second goal went in, the heads dropped. Even though there seems to be a lot of time sit on the clock and you felt that you get one back, you can come back
to too, the belief never seemed to be there. And now we're talking it's not one game. The sample side is getting bigger's three, four, five questionable games in a role. That's where the concern is gonna lie. What helps is now you have a week between games, get away from each other. When you come back into Starfire for training next week, forget the past, try to move forward. Three home games coming up. You've got
to try and find the silver lining where you can. And that's what it is right now that you're gonna be playing the found your own fans for the next three weekends. Well thanks sir Anders and Keeley here in the booth Kevin Kay for his great research and information. As always, and of course the Sounders legend Steve Zaquanney. As they've mentioned, the word is disappointing. A disappointing loss for the Sounders here in Vancouver from BC Place that finishes Vancouver white

Welcome to the Sounders FC postmatch show. Sounders FC Sucker is brought to you by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of
Seattle Sounders FC. The Sounders FC postmatch show starts now. Well, it's a disappointing and frustrating night for your Seattle Sounders just north of the border in Vancouver, BC. The final is a two nothing loss to the Whitecaps. Goals by VT and then Ryan Gould finishes past Stephen in the fiftieth minute. I believe that was maybe officially called an own goal. Uh, we're here for the post match show. Jackson Felts, Michelle ldka Andre's first chiely dunning
as we react with that disappointment and frustration to this match. I think we're in this. In the next segment of the post match show, we're gonna hear some comments from Steve Zakowani during the game, who said it, I think you can just nailed hit the nail on the head about five different times over the last twenty minutes in what this match was. Um. But as we open this up and we'll kind of go around the horn, um, you know, and I'll all started off in Michelle, I'll throw it over
to you that there's there's no lipstick to put on that pig. You know. That was a very bad performance, and I think it's characterized by I think, you know Steve's comment, um that when they went down to nothing, you just didn't see any belief that they could even get it back to two two um. And I and I tweeted this quote out, and I think it's so true. You can accept the loss, but sometimes it's more about the way you lose. The Sounders played, the way they looked in
this to nothing loss was very disappointing, Michelle, very very disappointing. Well, And I think that's what head coach Brian Schmitzer is probably going to take away the most. It's one thing if you're outplayed. It's one thing if the other team is the better team. But that was not the case tonight. And it really makes you wonder, like, what what is the situation right now with the Sounders? Are are Are they just struggling to click because
we're missing a few key people. Are they tired because of all the extra work that they did at the beginning of the season and where we're at now or is it mental? I wonder where If it's the confidence at this point, they're just hitting. They just you could just see it the body language after they went down to nothing. I was I was optimistic at the start
of the second half. There seemed to be a flash. They seem to try and find that next yep, yep and then and and that's the bright spot in this I think we can take away is that, yes, the young kids got some opportunities, they got some minutes, but it was just after going down after that second goal Keiley, it just the body language. For me, it kind of feels like, do you remember Charlie Brown and Lucy with the football and every time something goes wrong, it feels like the
Sounders are Charlie Brown just missing the football? Yeah, Bluie. They just they're not rebounding from when some when when when like the first thing goes wrong, you can see the body language. It just feels mental. Yeah,
I think it's tough. Um. I want to echo kind of a lot of what Steve was talking about and like it's it's fine when you kind of go into these away matches and you play like the Sounders were used to seeing the Sounders play, where you dominate the game, have more chances and then maybe the team knicks one in the end or uh the goalkeeper makes a couple great saves. But what's been really frustrating to watch and listen to is that
we are we haven't deserved to win these any of these pasts. Like five games that we've played, we've been kind of played out of the park here and with Vancouver, a team that you know, frankly is pretty below average, and their record indicates that when they're doing olas with all of their passes and all of their fans are olaying every pass they do, and just you know, it's it's that is not something you want to hear as a Sounders fan. And it did not feel like a rivalry match tonight. To me,
that's a good point. Yeah, because I think that's a great point because after the loss against Portland a month and a half ago, yeah, we we we heard the comment from Brian Schmancer that this didn't feel like a rivalry game when the Sounders you know, lost four to one down there, and after hearing that comment, it was it kind of it irked me a lot, and you would have thought, Okay, things will change, Messaging will be given and listen, Seattle versus Vancouver is not the level of Seattle
Portland. I think that everybody can understand that. But nonetheless, this is still a rivalry. It still dates back to the seventies, it's still part of the Cascadia Cup, and it still needs to be treated like a Darby and and I think that's the other part of it, is kind of going back to it, you know, going down to nothing and even just the body language. Michelle, you hit on that, and I think you nailed it right there. But body language like that in any game where you're down
to nothing is disappointing. But to Ander's point right there, and I think he's dead on body language like that. When you go down to nothing in a rivalry match in the home of your opponent is even more disappointing for me. I hate that I'm about to say this, but I'm gonna say it
anyway. When we came into this season, I remember first match of the season Colorado, they played fantastic and Jackson, I remember you and I were talking on that postmatch show and we were saying, this group is capable of something special. They're built to win right now. We don't know how much longer we have Freddy Montero, Nicholas Ladero, Ruidias, some of these veteran players, even Stephan Fry. I mean, I think we still got plenty
more time with him. But I mean, these these players have been around for a while. They want to win now, and we're seeing the next wave come through of these young guys who are hungry and eager and ready. And we really said at the beginning of the year like this could be the special perfect combination, very similar that special perfect combination we saw at the end of twenty sixteen. And and I just there were moments tonight where I was like, shoot, did the moment pass? Where I was like, did
we get too excited? Again, I hate that I'm saying this, but it makes you wonder when you see. I mean, this is a physical game, This is a hard game, on your body, on your mind, all the things, and it is a team game. But it just makes you kind of kind of wonder where we're at. We need a spark. Yeah, it kind of reminds me we had that really rough star in twenty eighteen, just terrible start of the season, right, and then we got that spark when we signed Rao ruy Diaz. That was the spark that
turned that season completely around. Yes, we had a disappointing playoff loss to Portland, but then twenty nineteen we win Emil's Cup. Yeah. Yah, Brest is history. We need a spark like that, so and it could be something we don't need to It doesn't need to be a signing, just someone on the squad just needs to one little spark, and I think they can turn it around, because, like you said, this team is built to win now. They really are. I'm still I'm a believer. I
want them to be believers. This team is built to win now, but unfortunately they're just not putting it together. It's a two nothing lost tonight against the Vancouver Whitecaps, where the club just simply do not look good at almost any point in this game. I'll tell you, unfortunately, you know, we always have our Emerald Queen Casino Play of the match. There's honestly nothing, I'm sorry to say we Stephen Fry had a save and that's the only
thing I checked marked. What about what about come on Yamar's header and the fourth minute, right, but he was in good minute. Let's see Jordan Morris, he had he was in position in the forty first minute, but it was a block shot. I know I'm pulling, I know, I know I'm try and Jackson there's honestly, there's the blatant truth is that we just we don't have that. So I'll tell you that the Play of the match each week is presented by Emerald Queen because you know, the betting capital
of the Northwest. I'm just sorry we don't have one tonight. But the Sounder is falling in Vancouver by a score of two. Nothing. Well, Delta Delta, Yeah, let me just restart that Delta Airlines is proud to donate one soccer ball for every mile ran by Sounders FC players this season through Ray Foundations one Mile one Ball program. We'll come back more on the postmatch
show. Here what I thought was a perfect comment from Steve Zakawani, and continue and look ahead to what's ahead for the Sounders, which is New York coming up at home a week from tonight. You know, we've kind of went through the frustrations and then disappointment there in the opening segment. I want to go back and play some comments from Steve Zacawani in the eighty ninth minute, and I think these comments very accurately sum up the state of what we are watching right now with the Seattle Sounders. Let's roll it as a Sounders team.
At some point, you expect to bring back Christian Road, Don Raoul Louis Diaz. Yes, you'll be a different team, but still way too much quality and depth in this group to have the run of results they've had. And it's also not just the result, it's the performance. The performance level has dropped significantly since the staff the season. It's not one player or two
players, it's multiple players. You have a level on the field. If two or three off still win when it's five, six, seven, eight, not at the best, it becomes very hard in MLS to not only win, to let them get a draw. And that's what we're seeing eighty too many guys having knights off at the same time, and that's how in the team, right noes. And I think Steve Zakawani is so correct on
that that he said they're late in that match. The two nothing lost to Vancouver, which is that yes, missing role, yes missing Christian rolled on. But me Keely and I know you have a bunch of stats too. There is so much quality, there's so much talent on this field that losing this match to nothing is inexcusable considering the talent that's out there on the field for the Sounders. Yeah, sometimes the numbers lie. Not tonight unfortunately,
right go for it, um expected goals Vancouver about two. We are at point five shots Vancouver seventeen our shots eight shots on target five for Vancouver one. First Sounders, and then Brian Schmutzer's favorite statistic, duels total duels percentage one Vancouver fifty five percent Sounders. I mean that's yeah, I mean, Michelle, that's that's really rough. Yeah, the end of the day, I mean, Jules. One is one of those stats that I'm actually surprised.
I'm honestly surprised that it's forty five percent because because the reality is Vancouver had control of the last seventy minutes of this. Yes, yes, yes, okay, so all of this is very bad. This is very bad. I was very negative in the first block, but during the commercial break, I told myself I was going to be a little bit more positive, so to counter those ugly stats. As we kind of turn the page on tonight, I would like to point out that the Sounders are still in second
place in the Western Conference. It is only May, and bright side, we did get to see a lot of young players get minutes under their belt in the second half, which is only going to help them in the long run over the course of the next several months, as hopefully the Sounders go on to make playoff run Jackson, you have a Ted Lasso reference you wanted to make. Oh yeah, that's true. I mean, it's funny you brought it. And I think we're all up to date on the show.
And this isn't a true spoiler if you haven't seen season three yet. So if you if you don't even worry about it. Um, but you know you were talking, don't share the whole story. But it's okay, you gave a warning. It's fine you got all this spoiler or anything. But but hel you mentioned in the last segment about needing a spark, and it reminded me of of the episode of the season of Ted Lasso where where Ted takes them to the underground sewer in London, and it just kind of it's
this team bonding experience. And I don't know, Andrews, you played, you played soccer here locally for a long time. You think that we can get Brian schmencer to take them on the underground tour. I mean you you you ever played for a coach that just takes you on a field trip to to get some team moral up. I mean those kind of experiences with your teammates outside of training, outside of the kind of routine everyday stuff is really
really important for kind of a bonding experience ariens for the group. And it seems like there's kind of a mix of personalities in this team. There's a really kind of young core with you know, Ree Baker, Whiting, josh A Tensio, even Danny Lava when he's healthy, um, you know, and then the youngsters that have been playing and coming up recently. And then there's kind of the veterans who have been here for three four years, the
Raouls, the Nicos, the Joe Palos. Even though he isn't really the longest tenured sounder, he's definitely one of the more experienced ones in the group. So there's definitely needs to be a little bit of a coming to Jesus moment. As a lot of people like to say, but no, I think um a refresh of some kind, whether um Keiley mentioned it in the first segment, maybe that could be a signing coming. But they definitely need to change something up in terms of like what's going on in between the you
know, the personalities in this group. I think I saw I saw the team start quickly. I saw the team out of training on what have been That would have been on Wednesday, Thursday, Thursday, after the Austin loss. And as I pulled into Star Fire, I saw the team taking a long walk around the entire Star Fire campus and it was just their regend day and they were walking a long walk around the grounds together. I'm like, that's that's pretty cool kind of coming together. It's sort of a thing,
and you know, it's sort of things like that. If if you can do something that resparks this team and allows them to reignite this fire that was so prevalent at the start of the season, that would be fantastic. What that spark is, whether it's a trip to the Sewers of Seattle or the underground tour in Pioneer Square, I don't know what it is, but they certainly need this right now. You know. What I would like to see too, and this is something like the Seattle Mariners do quite often, is
bring back some some former players. We're in a community that is so enriched with Sounders history. Uh, you know, we've been around since nineteen seventy four. I mean, Danny Jackson, Steve Zakawane like, well, yes, the list goes on and on, and we were talking earlier about how you know this didn't feel like a rivalry, and we said the same thing
after Portland, we've got a lot of Yes. While we have the most homegrown players on the roster, which is wonderful, there are a lot of players that are not from here that maybe are newer to Seattle and the Seattle culture in terms of the Sounders, and so I wonder if that's something that Brian Schmutzer is thinking about, that maybe it's time that someone comes back.
And when I referenced the Mariners, I'm thinking of like the Edgar Martinez is, the Ken Griffe juniors, the those those legends who've been there through the good times, and maybe it's like a Chad Marshall or or you know someone you know, what's what's I know Clint has been supporting Charlotte, but boy, oh we need to take that up with Clint. Come on, come on, Clint, you're a Saunders fan. But yes, I think I think almost like yes, Field Trip, go to the Underground if you haven't
done it, it's really fun. I personally recommend the Haunted version. Um who doesn't who doesn't love ghost stories? But um, I think also I just a pep talk from you know, just sharing the history of this club might might do some good. I think that's a fantastic idea. Let's let's let's throw a little bit at Brian Spencer next time we talked to him. That's a brilliant idea there. From Michelle, Michelle loved Kikili Dunning Anders.
First, my name is Jackson Felts. We'll continue on the post match show. But it's time to look ahead. Yes, it's a two nothing lost of Vancouver. You can get your tickets today by visiting Sounders fc dot com slash tickets. Watch the mass via MLS Season Pass on Apple TV app. Also listened in Spanish language on Lray thirteen sixty and Michelle, you know it's interesting going into this
game. We talked about the pressure and you mentioned the pressure being on Vancouver two stray losses coming home. Now for the situation, I mean the Sounders have been poor recently against teams who are on bad stretches. I mean Portland was oh four and two before beating Seattle, Kansas City O seven and three, before beating in Seattle, Austin O four and four before beating Seattle, Vancouver and this one, as we mentioned, two straight losses coming home and
then beat Seattle. Now completely flipped Sounders now two straight losses coming home and the New York Red Bulls coming off of a win tonight. So would think that the more pressures on Seattle, but hopefully they can flip the script. Absolutely. I think the pressure completely is on Seattle. But I think while
it's pressure. I think it's also an opportunity. The Sounders come home, they play, They have, first of all, a week off, and I think Steven Danny were talking about at the end of the broadcast, Schmutzer has got to probably give him a couple days. Go blow off some steam, come back, be ready to work. Yes, go on the Haunted Seattle Underground tour. Some team BONDI call up some old players, called Chad Marshall, call Kasey Keller, called Marcus Hannaman. Let's go talk about the
old days. And then I think it's not just next week's match against against New York, but they have the opportunity. They have three home matches in a week. They go New York, San Jose and then Portland. If they get nine points out of those three matches at home, we've got nothing more to talk about about this stretch that we went through life. Think, speaking of Horner players, guys, make sure to tune into the broadcast on radio next week on Saturday, we will have Marcus Hannaman and Brad Evans,
but oh maybe they can get the player. There's a little pregame. They will both be on History, they will both be on pre half and post Steve and Danny obviously in match. And remember on Apple TV you can switch to the local radio call, so always do that guys. If you're watching an Apple TV on your TV bottom right corner, there's options for different ways to listen.
