The Providence Swedish premad Show starts now good evening from Beautiful Sonny of Los Angeles, California and BMO Stadium in the heart of LA We are here for Sounders LAFC taking off in just about a half hour and after ten days off, your Sounders once again back in action and tonight here it is a battle between two of the top three teams here at the Western Conference on the road here against LAFC. So welcome in two the Sounders FC premat Show, presented by

Providence Swedish official healthcare partner of Seattle. Sounders FC. Jackson fotes alongside of Brad Evans Danny Jackson, and we'll have the call with Michelle Lutka on the sideline coming up in just about a half hour. But as we begin the broadcast tonight, Brad there's a lot of breakdown in a moment. We'll get to the delta starting eleven. We'll talk about the dynamics and the tactics that will go into this big road match tonight. But let's just take this all

in for a moment. We are down here in LA We see the fans starting to fill up our broadcast purchase in the middle of the stands. This is quite an environment here in La. Yeah. I mean, if you could set the setting, this is what you want. A beautiful night in La. We had a nice day on the beach, you and I, and this is a soccer specific stadium that you dream of. Do we have more fans in Seattle, Yes, But there's something about walking into a stadium

like this. It just has a little bit more energy. Tonight. It's two teams that are fighting at this point. I think you know in the last five one two and two for the Sounders, two two and one for LAFC. This place will be rocking tonight. Yeah, absolutely will be. We know that both sides of the fan bases, both teams treat this like

a rivalry. It does feel like growing rivalry in the league. So we will feel that tonight, right here in the middle of all these fans wonder if anything gets on the air Eventually, I've been based on how close we are to the LAFC fans. It will be entertaining here tonight. We are here at what about the south This is the south corner of the city, in the southwest corner of the stadium. As we look on to the three

five two the LAFC supporter section to our left. That is I wouldn't say it's it's like a it's a dortmun style wall of fans, but it is a high angled wall of seats where the LFC City LAFC supporters are standing. They will make their noise tonight. With that said, brand let's move in and let's get to the delta. Starting eleven four, Brian Spencer Seattle Sounders tonight. Yeah, Sounder is a strong lineup tonight, obviously missing a few

from international duty. But Stephen frying Gold knew who at left back, Jackson Reagan Yamar at center back. Cody Baker goes to the right. That'll be a topic that we'll discuss in a little bit. Jowpo and Obed as your number six is, Rusnat goes back in as a number ten. After that strong performance in Charlotte, Niko will fade out to the right and then we'll have Leo Chu back on the left and of course the killer up top number

nine. Raoul Rudisi made his return score two goals in Charlotte. That was great to see. Who see if he can repeat that here tonight. There are a number of things to talk about with those lineup choices. The bench includes Stephen Cleveland, a Bisasoko, a Bear Reed, Baker White and Freddie Montero, Dylan Tevez, Kellen Rowe and Josh Atensio. Let's dive very quickly

into the Providence Swedish team health reports. Javier Ariyage is out tonight with a right quad strain, Ethan Doublair out with a right hamstring strain, Sodaquita Haara out with a right quad strain. And then three players on international duty George Morris and Christian will Gone with the United States men's national team Gold Cup starting later this week. Altrodon with Al Salvador. They're in the Gold Cup as well. But Brad and by the way, tonight's team held aport presented by

Providence Swedish Official Healthcare partner of sounders that seat. So let's start with these lineup decisions. Let's start with Cody Baker because you mentioned him. Cody Baker gets to start it right back for Alex rolled On in a position where we've seen Cody come in since he got brought in the first team, and he has just done a job every single performance out there. Yeah, we've talked about this every single pregame since he got that first you know, his first

minutes as a left back actually, So it's a guy that's versatile. It's a guy that can be trusted. Now, I think that's the biggest thing with the young players. Can you trust him to do more than just play in Seattle, get some minutes and get a performance. That's the easiest thing you'll do all years, play in Seattle in front of your home fans, where you kind of ply your trade, and then you got to go on the road and get a result. And you know, he's done that for

the better part of the season. And I don't think that there's been anything said about him, even even a pete from the coaches coaching staff that would tell us otherwise that he's not fitting to play this role. And it's it's it's a huge story. I think we'll be talking about this one at the end of the year. That this kid was able to come in sign within you know, a two week window and then can ue to perform. And now he finds himself at LAFC, one of the toughest places to play against

a fantastic team as a right back. Now his responsibilities will be much different than Alex. Right Alex is the guy who gets forward for the Sounders, and the Sounders are built on left back sits. We go three in the back and then the right back goes. Another wrinkle is having Niko on that right hand side. Right that's the biggest one. Because Christian is always going to do the work defensively. Is Nico able to do the work defensively like

Christian does? I don't think so. So I think tonight you'll see code He's got to be very careful and how he picks and chooses his moments to go forward, because I don't think he's gonna get the cover from Nico Ledero tonight. The other part about Nico being up with her on the right and specifically how Albert Rusnank is now your number ten in the middle is the fact that we know Nico when he sits in that number ten spot, he likes to drift. He'll go out left. And the one concern that any Sounder

fan could have is Nico on the right, will he drift? And if he drifts, that leaves Cody Baker then alone on an island against a very talented We'll talk about him later on the l AFC attack. And really this kind of it seemed would be a notion of Nico. You gotta stand on the luck, you gotta make sure you cover Cody. Yeah. I think if we're at home right now, playing against this team, I think Nico has more freedom to go, and I think that the Sounders have more possession

of the ball. They're at home, they can fly there the way that they want to play. But tonight is a night about having really good structure and tactically being aware. And there's no more excuses for Nico not knowing tactically what to do. He's a world class player right at the end of the day, he was brought here, he won championships, He's done the job for Seattle. Now he's being asked to move positions, So can he do that and still be disciplined enough to know that he's got a kid that's only

played a handful of games behind him. And yeah, maybe my job now isn't just to go forward all the time. My job as a right as a right midfielder with DeAndre whenever we played the Galaxy, I wasn't there to provide anything going forward if the moment was right, yes, but my job was to neutralize Landing. And sometimes that is your job on the field to get the results. And at the end of the day, you don't get a goal and an assist, but you walk out of here with a point

or three. That is better for the team moving forward than Niko having an amazing game tonight. Absolutely so. And as we shipped inside in that midfield and once again you are listening to the Providence Swedish prematch show. We are live at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California, as the Sounders or Night right now are just about thirty less than thirty minutes away from kicking things off against LAFC right here at BMO Stadium. So Brat, let's slide inside.

Then Albert Russnack, he started the number ten spot for years with rayl assault like I think something like, you know, forty one goals roughly forty assists in his years at RSL, so talented from that spot. We saw him then go to that spot against Charlotte's ten days ago, team scores three goals, So seems like this is kind of another nods to him of keep it going, keep unlocking this offense, to continue scoring three goal performances. This

one has always rattled my brain. The position change for Rusnack. And I understand Niko was the guy for us for so long and now maybe you're seeing a little bit of a change in the guard. Now can Rusnak step up and still be the guy that he was? It's it's gonna take some time, and unfortunately he's now got two games on the road that he has to do it against two good teams. And if he can prove that tonight, I think that that position is his moving forward. He was the man at

Salt Lake. He was he was the guy that everyone feared playing against, especially when you went to Salt Lake. He would pull all the strings. He would pop up in pockets that no one else saw. So tonight it is on him to have to have a good game, Right, your number ten is your engine. It's the guy that has to create, and we've been asking for a number ten to create. He had a great game in Charlotte. Now can he continue tonight? That's that's a big question mark.

But he certainly has a talent. He's motivated. I think his family's here flew in, so there's extra little motivation there tonight to put in a good performance. Absolutely, let's continue and finally go to the west side and this attacking midfield. No Jordan Morris, as we mentioned, he's with the United States men's national team, So you don't have both the Ruldn brothers. You

don't have Jordan Morris. It is Leo Chi out there on the west Can he I guess how can he provide the same kind of things that Jordan Morris does on that left wings? Yeah? Well, look, he's he's a similar player in a way that he likes to stretch of defenses. That's that's Leo's his bread and butter. Right, He's gonna cheat and his job. Now can you can you do both? Can you cheat at the right time? But can you provide defensive cover away from home? For knew who and

knew who can take two guys on his own most of the time. But for Leo to have a complete performance, it's got to be on both sides of the ball. And for me, he's a guy that can stretch defenses. He can put teams under pressure. And you cannot let this LAFC team

just build out of the back. There's got to be a line of confrontation and we'll see where it is in the first couple of minutes of this game, because you cannot sit back at halfway and just allow them to play, because for Leo that allows him less space and less time on the ball if the Sounders do recover it. So it's actually his benefit to start the line

of confrontation higher forced turnovers and then he has more space to operate. The Sounders are in better position on the field, and you know, he has to open his legs tonight. I don't care if it's forty five fifty five

minutes. He's got to go. And you know LAFC lights to press, and if they don't press as hard as they used to, but they will still do their high press and this could be an interesting game tactically how things shift over the first forty five and then we'll kind of see where things are at it when the second half begins. But this should be an exciting one tonight at BMO Stadium in Sonny, Los Angeles. Not a cloud in the sky. As Brad mentioned, we enjoyed the beaches earlier today be a little

bit too much. My fourhead's like an apple and it is a remarkable night for soccer here in La at BMO Stadium, Sounders LAFC. We are just about twenty five minutes away from kick between the Sounders and LAFC. Here at BMO Stadium, Tonight's countdown to kickoff is presented by Emerald Queen Casino, the

Angeles, California. We can see the skyscrapers of downtown LA in the distance right next to the north end three two five two fans supporter section that is off to our left here from the southwest corner of VMO Stadium, right next to a bunch of l AFC fence. This is gonna be a fun night here with Sounders LFC on ninety three point three KJR FM. Jackson Folks alongside Brad Evans here on the prematch show, and it's time for tonight's sharp vision

opponent outlet. Let's take you through lfc's lineup tonight. It is John McCarthy and goal the MLS Cup twenty twenty two hero who saves penalty kicks against his hometown Philadelphia Union team to give LAFC the title last year. They're back for Malvnado, Pelacio's Keiolini Houlling's head. The midfielders. La Sanchez Carlos Vela is their captain, he's in the midfield. Chris Astomo and Opoku are their midfielders and then Bogus and Bowonga. Dennis Denny Bulonga is back from international duty.

He is starting tonight for LAFC and boy he is a dangerous one. Brad. We look at this LAFC team and what they're putting out tonight. We know how strong they are. They obviously lost CONCA CAF Champions League final winners of last Cup last year. This is a very very good team. We're facing two. It's a really good team and you knew it was going to happen tonight. Because you saw the lineup they put out against Kansas City.

I think Elia Sanchez was the oldest player on the field at thirty two, and then I think it dropped to two thirty year olds and then the rest were nineteen twenty and twenty one, and they were able to grind out the result, right, just like the Sounders went to Austin a couple of years ago. You bring on Vla at the end, just like the Sounders brought on Raoul and they get they get to win at the end of the game.

So it says a lot about this club that, yes, they've had a lot of games, but they've been able to rotate their players, and tonight is one where they feel like they can get a result and they're gonna push these guys. Uh, And that that's as strong as of a lineup that you're going to see all year, you know, say, for Aaron Long, probably yea, but still Aaron Long goes out and and Kiolini comes in. Uh, not a bad swap there. So yes, um,

it's it's it's a hungry team. These guys, the starters are looking to get back on the pitch and and really I think they've got something potentially like fifty seven games this year that they could play, which is in a in a really short window. But you have no choice. You gotta get results. You're at home Wednesday against your rival that's sitting you know, right next to you in the standings, and and and they're gonna go for it tonight.

Yeah. Lafe right now second place, the third place. Saint Louis currently as you just showed me losing to RSL. Saint Louis currently in first

place. So while you see how this thing shakes out, As you mentioned, they recently beat Kansas City on Saturday two to one, nineteenth minute winner from Vela uh we mentioned, and then Ship should be talked about because I think one of the interesting things in in these this connection between these two clubs is the fact that last year Seattle went all in for CONACAP Champions League won the thing. As we all remember, LAF seen similar went all in for

CONACAP Champions League and lost. Thank you by the way to to club on for beating them three one on aggregate and not letting them do what Seattle did. But but listen, I think it's interesting we saw what happened after Seattle won Conka cap last year, and I don't know if you can. I don't think you can call it a hangover. They did lose those two games in a row to Houston after a Atlanta draw. But Brad, this is

this is an LAFC team. They have a ton of fixture congestion. I mean, the long is coming back, you know, fresh off of a flight from Africa. It's it's an interesting team. And I mean I think if you're ever going to catch LAFC, this might be the time to do it. Coming off of the win. You know, a lot of games they're have to deal with. I like the chances for Seattle because of LAFC dealing with what Seattle dealt with last year. Yeah, look, it's fixed

your congestion. And you saw the hangover. They tied Lanta. They lose twice to Houston, once at Houston for one with a strong lineup in Houston, and then they come back here and lose one nothing a week later.

So yeah, there's something to be said about that. You put all your emotional effort, your physical effort into winning a massive game, and when you can't get it done, or even when you do get it done, it's really difficult to just continue on. And that's why you look around the world teams that win, you know, a Supporters Shield and an MLS Cup, how difficult that is to be the best team throughout the season. You look at England, you win three trophies this year. How act when you really

look at it, how incredible that is to be that consistent. And honestly, with Manchester City there's not that much rotation of the lineup and they get it done. So now as LAFC is thinking, okay, we face a Seattle team that's missing two of their best players and obviously a starter, you know, one of the best players on the field. Also in alex they're also sitting there saying, hey, we got an opportunity to write the ship

at home. This is a strong lineup for us. So I think the Sounders tonight, it's all about being tactically aware and being very very good defensively, and if you can get off to a good start in this game. The guys are disciplined, they keep LAFC off the board. But you also want to keep LAFC from playing beautiful soccer. You don't want to just sit there and absorb pressure. So it's a bit of a bit of a game of Captain Mouse, and Schmidt told us, we're gonna play the game game

we always play. We're not gonna switch anything up and try to do something crazy. We're gonna keep going and and we're gonna try and win this game. You said, tactically where I want to dig into attack us a little bit. We talked about it in the first segment about Seattle. It's high line of confrontation right there and setting that and that's something we saw at the end of the Charlotte game needing to fix right in terms of lafc's system and

how these two systems go against each other. Tonight, we want to take a break, we'll come back, we'll talk about that. We'll give you our centers FC players to watch. We'll of course get to keys to the match. Well, of course, get to the history between these two clubs. That is one that you will certainly smile about. Welcome back to the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California, and

welcome back to the Providence Swedish prematch show. We are just about fifteen minutes away from kick between the Sounders and lafc Here at BMO in Los Angeles to night's contain a kickoff is presented by Emerald Puecasino, the entertainment capital of the Northwest, and Brad. Let's continue our sharp vision opponent outlook. I'll tell you it's tonight Topponent presented by Sharp Vision, Modern Lacing and Wins, the official laser provider of Sounders FC. And of course we'll get the players to

watch here in a moment. But if you're just talking about how the sounders d to be technically aware and this system from chief is Steve Torontoo for LAFC, it is a high press system, not as much as it used to be, it's still a high press. They're gonna set that line. They're gonna want to get Seattle on the break win Seattle is in possession. Meanwhile, as we just talked about a couple of minutes ago, Seattle also setting

that line. And I'm wondering how these styles of play we'll kind of clash and go together, and what exactly are we're gonna be seen to night? Yeah, well, you know, for me, LAFC is gonna get chances, There's no doubt about it. They're gonna get really high quality chances tonight. And it's a matter of are there strikers going to finish tonight? Because I can guarantee you we're gonna sit here and we're gonna watch some high quality

software tonight. But the biggest thing for LAFC, is it all runs through Elia Sanchez and I played with him in Kansas City and everything in Kansas City went through Ilia. He can do that job alone, which is the most impressive thing. He'll sit by himself, and you have to neutralize him tonight. You have to put Ilia under pressure because that will force Vella to drop deeper to come and get the ball. Then if you make Vella a playmaker and he gets a ball on top of the eighteam, that's no issue for

the Sounders, but you have to take Ilia out. If he's allowed time and space, he's gonna pull all the strings tonight and he's the one that gets the front three involved. For LAFC and for the Sounders, it's can you finish your chances right? You might only get one or two tonight. We're away from home. It's a reality. And so on the flip side, yes, it's about our strikers being deadly tonight and we know that we've

got one of the best in the league up top in Raoul Ridiaz. Were you talking about Sanchez pulling the strings in the middle of that tells me it's gonna be a very important game for the midfield. Right there that the central midfielders of your Jual Paula, Obed Vargas, Albert Russnack, those guys are gonna be needing to lock him down and not letting him pull the strings at will. Let's get to our sunders FC players to watch. Who are you looking for? Yeah, Rusnak, I think this is his night, and

I'll go on the flip side of that. He's played enough number six for us to know how to defend, so tonight he can neutralize Ilia. But it's not only about defending, it's about making. Like I said, Ilia is gonna sit pretty much by himself at times, Albert needs to find the pockets to the left and right of him to make him defend. You have to otherwise he's just gonna sit and know that the Sounders are gonna give the ball away and he'll just clean up that spot, take rus Knack out of

the game, and then off they go. So for me, offensively, defensively, you're number ten has to be on tonight away from home. Slip the script, don't let Sanchez pull the strings, pull the strings right around him. I love it, my player who watches Cody Baker, I love this kid. I think that when he starts a he does a job. He just comes in, he plays solid defense, does everything you need him

to do up on the right. Yes, he isn't the most offensive player getting up that right side, but against this LAC team with the talented at hackers, they have do a job shut him down defensively, and then I just love the kid's mentality. I'll go back to the Portland match where he started on a Darby match against Portland kids playing right back, which is what

he's again playing tonight. He's going up against Claudio Bravo. He gets forward from Portland's fullback spot and a moment in that match, Bravo basically stands right over Cody. Cody gets up and gets right in Claudio Bravo's face and it's that intensity, that kind of mentality, shoving it right in the face of Portland no less. I love to see that from him, and in the

match like this that is also a growing rivalry for the Sounders. I mean, shoot this, this might be the second biggest drive for clan right now. It might be, and considering that, I want to see that emphasis in that intensity and that mentality that we saw against Poland. I want to see that tonight again from Cody Baker. So that's what I'm watching for right here at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. It's a beautiful knight here, not a cloud in the sky. We look on past the stadium, the downtown

LA. What a night for soccer. We'll wrap up the prematch show. We'll give you the lamps, four time keys to the match, and a history for the Sounders against LAFC. It's a beautiful night for soccer. And with that said, I'll tell you Seattle ALFC. We've met fifteen times in total, and while LAFC leads the regular season series by a few, Unders have the two most important wins, both coming in the playoffs right here in twenty nineteen the Western Conference Final for the Sounders advance to twenty nineteen MLS Cup, and of course we all remember that dream of an end of the season and then of course in the twenty

twenty playoffs as well, Seattle won back at Woomanfield. These two teams met last in March back at Woomanfield in Seattle that ended in a one to one draw. For tonight's match, Brad Evans, what are your keys to this gun defensively sound The Sounders have to be ruthless in the back. Reagan and Jamar have to have massive games communication and our two six is Obet's coming back from you know, a decent game in Charlotte, but off the national team.

Can he get back into the mix. And it's those four in the middle that are going to have to lock things down tonight. And boy, they're gonna be under it tonight. But if there's a team to do it, it's the Sounders to come back in here and get a result. Absolutely. We know LAFC. They like to press, and you know, we were talking with Brian Schwenzer and this is a Sounder team where they will play good defense. We know that nine clean sheets on the year. Yeah,

you had the three goals given up against Charlotte. Now get back to those clean sheets, bred and I think he nailed it with that first point there. And the one thing we talked to Brian about was, you know, keeping that line of confrontation, high pressing LAFC and keeping possession because that's how you can fatigue LAFC and that's how you can get them into making mistakes and score a goal. He got roll out there seems like he's feeling pretty confident

right now. Yeah, Schmett said it yesterday. We need extended possession in the opponent's final third, and that's how you disorganize teams. It's not through. Yes, Soccer is ultimately played on mistakes. Very rarely do you see a beautiful build up, especially away from home, where it goes exactly how you planned it. As a pattern play. It's usually from knockdowns, battling from fifty fifties and creating turnovers, but also extended possession. Move around LAFC.

You gotta get their head on a swivel. That's absolutely right. Well, here we go. BMO Stadium, Beautiful Los Angeles, California, will play host to Sounders LAFC, two of the top three teams in the Western Conference, about to go at it. Danny Jackson Brad Evans have the call

Sounders Welcome to Sounders FCA Sucker Sounders FC. Sucker is brought to you by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of Seattle Sounders FC and by bud lighte Easy to Drink easy to enjoy, Please enjoy responsibly. Now time for Sounders FCA sucker on a picture perfect evening in a loud b most stadium and down town Los Angeles, your Sounders take on Western Conference rival LAFC. Like the Sounders in twenty twenty two, LAFC have struggled in MLS play since their CCL campaign

ended back in May. But unlike the Sounders, LAFC are commiserating a lost versus Leon rather than celebrating a win one victory in four games since that defeat. LAFC are looking to get their mojo back after starting the MLS season in scintillating form, but a heavy schedule in June is going to test the resolving character of this talented squad. For the Sounders, they come down to LA with memories of the twenty nineteen playoff win, where a majestic performance of defensive

prowess and offensive firepower stopped a buoyant LAFC in their tracks. Three goals in their last game versus Charlotte showcase the Sounders of their scoring boots on again, but an equalizing goal in the eighty ninth minute was a gut punch which the Sounds luxury bound from tonight. It is a matchup of MLS heavyweights in an atmosphere there's oozing with expectation and excitement. My name is Danny Jackson alongside former

Sounders Captain Brad Evans for the call tonight. But before we get to Bradford's opening comments on the game, let's give you the delta. Starting eleven for your Seattle Sounders. Stefan Frying goal at back four of Cody Baker on the right, gaymart Reagan and new who Obert Vargas alongside JP. Nicolodera comes back in the eleven after missing out last week due to an injury. He sits on the right hand side Albert Rusneck after a solid performance in the number ten

retains that position. Leo Cho on the left and two goal man versus Charlotte Rawlry Diaz up front for LAFC John McCarthy and goal. A back four of Hullingshead, Maldonado Kiolini and Pelasios, mid feel three of Scasotomo Sanchez FAA and an attacking three of a Polku Bogush and Booonga. So Brett You're in pregame started the atmosphere is building. It's pretty impressive stadium. This is this is impressive from the moment you walk in. This is this is this is impressive.

That's all there is to say. But for the Sounders, can you be you know world beaters on the night right missing a couple of guys, and this is an LAFC with a strong lineup, about as strong as they're gonna get minus Aaron long throughout the season, Ted Uncle gets underweight plasticas on the left hand sight keeping the Sounders half comes back to Bowonga, so Ellis Sanchez pressed by Obed Vargas. That's Ladera gets October by Bowonga. Early free

kick for the Sounders. On this near side the right, the Sounds in the traditional rave green shirts, blue shorts, rave green socks attacking the gold To our right, an LAF seeing their traditional all black with gold splattering on their shirts, shorts and sucks. They're attacking the three two five two north end to our left as Meldonardo picks it up, goes to bogush. Note

the new signing from Lee to units. It comes across towards the h and Yabucks twenty yards out, takes a strike, just goes white it's a goal, Bogush. You thought he was wide inside the first minute. The Sounders have conceded inside the first minute from a fantast point in as you look wide. News stands there in somewhat disbelief and the Sounders now behind early at BMO Stadium, it's LAFC nil sound LFC one sound as nil. Well, it's a it's a poor start from the Sounders. We do well to recover the

ball in. Miko wins a free kick, Baker tries to play an inlet pass and all of a sudden off LFC goes a quick interchange in the middle and all of a sudden Obit Vargas. Both both number six is JP and Obad are turned around. He gets to the top of the box, it takes a deflection and step is nearly there, but it finds the back of the net. An LAFC is off and running. No bogus one goal, one assists on the season you mentioned Sun from Leech United. It's been on

loan to a Beta for two seasons. Get stuff them up early, and that's gonna do nothing more than stoke the fire that's already in this stadium. The Marcky matchup of the week in MLS. The Sounders now have to come from a goal behind an early strike from Bogush As the sound is pick it up this near side the right, the Cody Baker tries to play down the line cut out by lafc Keiolini Experience Italian plays it all the way back to McCarthy and goal as he gounched it long. Yemark goes up and that's gonna

be an offside given by the assistant referee. But Brad an environment like this is not the start. The sound is one. This is not the start. You're one. But now it's up to the Sounders. You cannot put your head down and just let LAFC play. Now, it's all about retaining possession. Get back into the mix you've got Ultimately, you got ninety minutes left to find a result, right, so it doesn't have to happen.

Now, get into your rhythm, start to knock the ball around and just calm the stadium right, Silence the stadium as best you can do that keep possession of the ball. JP switched the ball from Sentience this nitside to right. Cody Baker right in front of us, takes in his chest goes back to Yama JP and supports square. Gama sends out a pressure from LAFC is a press and Harry top of the box. There's Rus that plays down to the left hand side. Leo two inside the box drives it across. It's

like it takes a deflection. Ted Uncle referees looking at the assistant. Referee's gonna give a corner kick as we We'll get to Michelle and the sidelines in one second. We'll let this corner kick play out, but grat good break by the sound To see a good break by the sounder is good switching play from JP coming straight out. It's crazy that we feel like we're sitting in the stands right now. I'll call it this game. It's pretty wid We

might as well be in seats about twenty rows up from the field. But a good switching playoff to Cody Baker right in front of us. We'll find Bruce Knack and Layo two gets him behind for a corner kick corner. Kate run fast side, whipped him with his right foot in swinger up goes Ruy Diez. It's gonna be a goal kick remains LAFC one sounds and with that we're going to throw it down to Michelle for the first time. Good evening, Michelle, Hi, Danny. I think that goal there by LAFC cut

us all off guard, including the laf team themselves. In fact, prior to Saturday's two goal performance in Kansas City, the club had scored just one goal in its previous six matches across all competition and had been struggling. They had only one one in their last four matches since losing Champions League final, so it's it's been an interesting run of form for LAFC of late, and that goal obviously puts the Sounders in a hole that they do not want to

be in. Thanks Michelle Kilina picks the ball up Cleo Tube middle of the field, tries to look for a free kick, but it's gonna be Pullingshead on the fast side the right plays it out to a Poku who's back from a red cot he picked up. It's a couple of games ago, challenge against Houston. Let's say LEFC, you got to build up some tempo and some possession in there. Half of the field goes back to Keiolini. Sounders, as Brian Schmittz said, they gotta press a little bit highest either gonna

win the ball, but consider a goal that way. As the Haullings head this fast site the right, plays it into veya out to a Poku, back to veya corner of the box, goes back to a poker towards the end line. Good slide and challenge by knew who it's gonna be a corner kick l AFC. A good spell for LAFC. Obviously a gold kick here to our right, and McCarthy just slows the play down. It may have been ten or fifteen seconds before they put the ball in play. And then

Kiolini's patience and experience. They're happy to let the Sounders come and press and they're gonna try and play out. You're not going to see many long balls from the center backs, and they did that there. As they broke out

for a corner kick. Focus on the right hand side. It looks like it's getting out swinging corner kick on the far far right hand side, being out swinging with his right foot along the top of the box looking for options of pokes who's sitting in top of the d and the bull gets swung out Ada there was a chance for LAFC was about eight yards out, puts it over it sounds goal kick and it's always a warrior on corner kicks away that

the Sounders set up. Sometimes they got their big guys sitting as pivots, and then you've got Nico Ladero marking Boonga. You've got you know, Roostenac marking Haullingshead, two big guys on the field that are attackers. That's a tough one for Nico Ladero and the Roostenac to be marking because those guys will push you off to the side real quick. But the Sounders do well,

just with enough pressure for Hallingshead to send that one over the bar. Seven flight goes short open Vargas inside a six shot books pressed blay Alien off. Sure if that's the best method to observe the pressure coming from LAFC, but the sounds get rid of It goes all the way back to McCarthy decked out

in all red and the LFC goal. As he launches it can sent to hooks it to the just near side the left, but the sound has come away that Ladero inside from his right mitch field position cleared off the toe of Ruie Diez goes up in the edge. JP heads to the ball, he's ahead to buy haulingset cushion, head up back to McCarthy in the LAFC goal. But suddenly, just like the Sounds last year, Brett, they've struggled to get results. Great win away from home with a bunch of young kids.

Five plays into twenty one, is Keaty gives it away, Weds try to whip It looks like a touch from McCarthy, kick given by uncle. I think for both of us look like a touch. But we're standing at the eighteen yard box. The Sounders line of confrontation is high tonight, higher than you would think away from home. So that right now, not going for it in a sense, but yeah, like a line of confrontation says hey, if you're gonna play out of the back, we're gonna put you

under pressure. And Sounders do well to force a turnover. And I think Raoul wants that one back because he's coming left to right on his right foot. He should do better. There is that chap because we're chasing the game now, I feel a bit high oppressed. You know, if it were nil nil, would you think we're press I think that that was the plan. I think Schmidt said, we're gonna go and we're gonna play no matter

what, if we're away from home or if we're at home. Our line of confrontation was gonna be was gonna be high tonight, and you have to You cannot let LAFC get into a rhythm now, especially being up one nil. You have to put them under pressure. Otherwise they're just going to keep the ball and pass you to death. Holling said, ball in his hands are fast side the right, playing right back. Today's played left back and right back over the last hand full of weeks eight years with FC Dallas.

Signed by LAFC in twenty twenty two, signed an extension in the offseason. It's got a bunch of goals players. Defender with goals and six goals last year. Because Holling's head of the sound has build out the back Gay marks, it's near side the right Cody Baker. It's to start today because of Alex rolled on on international duty with Ali Salvador. As the ball goes into Rudy Dz getting involved with his back to goal GPS center circle, ball at

his feet looking for options back to Rudys back to JP. Sounds looking try and break through. Try and equal eyes here as we Sounders down an early goal inside the first minute, Leo Chew fast side the left picks the ball up not some time in space. Try to play a lot of combinations going to trickle through the McCarthy remains la seen one sound as nilp good spell of possession for the Sounders. Well, this is where you have to be careful

to move LAFC. You must keep the ball in the attacking third. We talked about it on pregame and Lao Chi just a little off step there at least send ship ball in the middle of the field, pressed by Obed Vargas. But again LFC get out of pressure. Well, Ya tries to look for the ball over the top, this time suffer and five season danger. It rolls all the way back to the trusty Sounders goal. Keep it decked out and yellow tonight because the sound has build out the back. Jackson Reagan

to JP playing on the half. Turn back to Jackson Reagan off that first assist in his MLS career for the ball in the eleventh minute gets Charlotte for Christian rolled on to get on the scoreboard as Yama tries to build just a flicky finds Rosnack well middle of the field. Rosa brings it down off his chest, time and space. Cody Baker Trista get the ball in behind. Came in a little narrow, Just get a little wider. We throw in

for LAFC. Yeah, use the width of the field, right, Cody, I think he's looking for the inside pass to turn around the left back, and at that time it was shut down before the play even happened. So from Cody, it's a matter of patience, right, and we talked about it before the games. He can't go forward every single time, and if that one gets intercepted and Yamar's not there to intercept, often go LAFC.

But Yamar comes in wins a tackle for a throwing step balance. Playing fourth games of four three three, he got Towongo on the left hand side. He got veya kind of sitting in that more deeper left hand side midfield position. As the sound is come fast side the left Leo Chio left corner of the box, he said, left channels d one meldon Ardo plays the ball in nicely cut out well by Keiolini. The he got a foot in there. To clear his lines where Das were sniffing in behind, cleared by

LFC. Sounds pick it up at chance. Yeah, what a build up for the Sounders there switching play and Nico finds himself. Yes he's a right midfielder, but of course he's gonna shade inside. He finds himself as the number ten. There releases Layo two and that time Layo two does very well take on the defender. And if it wasn't for Keiolini sliding there, that's

a tap in for Row with our post. Were still in the third goal last week when he snuck in on the blind side, played it in from a great cross from JP to put the Sounders up three goals to two. Couldn't hang on, gave up an eighty ninth minute goal. It's a gut punch when he travels so far. It really sound has played well. But here comes the Sounders again to far side the left, Leo Chow picking up some pace one B one versus hollings Head inside the box. Holloings Head goes

down tackle. Leo Chow goes down with a fifty fifty. Hollingshead looked like he got the bull's head. Uncles not giving anything right now we'll see if dr sounds of many information is the piece. But LFC gonna come as Leo Chow is still on the deck inside the age and yard box and the LFC come again. Bull goes in behind Bowonga against new New does a good job, shepherds over the end line. It's gonna be a sound as goal kick.

It knew whose speed and recovery is just incredible. Buonga is a fast player and knew who has to turn around and full sprint and he still recovers the ball faster than Bouwonga. I think this is a fair challenge from Hollingshead. Here we'll see a replay and may have caught him, but it was certainly after the ball from our view. But that's where the sounders have to be very careful because now you don't have to play the ball out of balance,

right. Teams just gonna go and of course they're going to overload the side that Leo chi just vacated. Well. Sound as FC Stock is presented by Provident, Swedish official healthcare partner of sound as FC. Certainly for the team of Aprani's probably to like what Leo Choo's bringing right now, it gets the balls of feet, is attacking, hauling his head inside the balls and as you mentioned, it's gonna be a it's gonna be a perfect time tackle.

Well, it's already three or four tances that Leo's gotten in behind, and for him, all it takes is that one. Right. For us, all it takes is that one where hauling head steps in and Leyo Chwo does get that final touch and is able to get in and around. But if the Sounders weren't down one nothing right now twelve minutes in, this is a good performance from the Sounders so far minus minus the first minute. Yeah, exactly. Well with that, Michelle, we're gonna throw it down to

you. Yes, things looking promising as Leo chi just jove off the field. But prior to that, Dylan Tazz starting to warm up, So obviously this Sounder staff not take anything lightly here with what we just saw with that tackle. But good news as Leo chio makes his way back onto the pitch. Now, thanks Michelle. Well, yes, Leo Chiu would be certainly amiss if he had to go off. He looks like he's just shaking it

off from the fast side. Seven assists on the season so far from Leo Chu the top five of assists in MLS and with my memories correct, I think all seven assists for Jordan Morris as LFC win the balls from a goal kick from Stephen Fry. Sound has come away with it. Knew who fast side the left go a little bit of space is going to carry the ball forward inside. LAFC half plays the ball short to Ruidias getting involved nicely with

his back to Gold. As the Sound is build across the midfield with JP got some time and space, Coldy Baker this near side the right goes inside to Ladera plays the ball inside. McCarthy read that danger as a chance for Ruidia's got on the blindside of Maldonado. Good build up again once again from the sounder is good patience. It's the switching ball that the Sounders are finding success in right now. And Cody Aker stayed wide there which allowed Miko to

come inside. A quick interchange and he almost found himself in and behind Gold, but McCarthy well off of his line. Something to keep note of. McCarthy does stay pretty high off of his line. That's three or four now that he's picked up the ball on top of the eighteen. If the Sounders are smart, they take a chance on one of these catching him off his line. Well, certainly McCarthy's opportunity came. If you remember in the MLS

cut Crapo went off in the stadium with an injury. As LAFC bill the fast side the right Haullingshead involved eighteen yards from the end line comes back. Sound is defending well with ten men. Ruy das puts a little bit of pressure as Leo Chow comes away with it. Well, ruy d has got some time his place down the line. Moldonardo comes across, it deflects up. Leo Choo's gonna roll out for a gold kick, but Lafc remains LAFC one. Sound is nil here in the fifteenth minute, and that's where we

talked about in pregame. Leo two must do the work defensively and there he gets rewarded for that. Right. If Leo two just stays high on Haullingshead and stays back, he doesn't recover that ball and it's just an inch or two away from Raoul makes a good tackle the center back and LAFC you get an opportunity to play, but Leo Chu a hotspot in this first fifteen minutes of this game. Bull goes along Jaxson, Reagan reads it well, Kaushian headed to Knew who the far side the left is. He picks it up

to Jp. Pressure from LAFC, but the Sounders come away with it with Knew who carries the ball. Forward plays the ball into Leo Chu. Little miscommunication, well goes out of bounds. But this is why you know the Sounders recover that ball. This is why you play a high line against LAFC when they run out of ideas to play out of the back. He lead. He's not the best out of playing out of the back, and neither is his partner in center back. So Jackson picks up that ball. Let

him play long. Our center backs are gonna win that all day against a Polku and Vella. And with that Poku with the ball comes to Illy Sench as he switched the ball one time. All the ways this new side the left Pelasios playing left back today as a more defence in the midfield of the last couple of weeks. So Holling's head inside from his right position thirty yards from goal. Center the field a little outside the ball football to Veya reflects

the FO post. It's gonna running behind. They pick it up and it's Crissobo to Pelasius to Bowonga were wrong. Go back Tom international duty with Gabon picks the ball up left hand side. Claid well by JP was a slash of the leg, but he did his job. Because Keilin, he picks the ball up, tries to flick it in. It's gonna roll through to Stefan Frey good defending by the Sounders, solid blocks of four, step and five ball in his hands. It's all a block of four and almost five.

With roos Knack dropping back in where I would assume Leo Chi would be tucked in as a wide midfielder. I think what they're trying to do is allow root Knack to drop in and Leo Chi can then stay high. Leo Chi with the ball, cuts the ball back. Keilini right place, right time, again clears the ball, but again good break down the left hand side. Leo Chios getting some joy down that left hand side. And certainly we've seen Alex roll danby the point of attack down the right hand side for

so many months and so many games. And he being absent. Now the focus now Leo Chi to get that width as lead Era is playing on this right hand side, pinching in often Rosnet holding his position as the number ten today's game after the performance last week against Charlotte as a Sounders now build out the back for this. Copyrighted audiocasts of Major League Soccer may not be retransmitted, reproduced, or rebroadcast without the express written consent of Major League Soccer.

From the seventeenth minute here the Bemost Stadium in downtown Los Angeles, LAFC one Sounders nill as the Sounders trying to come back from that early goal with Leochu again Wonda one versus Holling said, Schmidtz will be happy with a confidence the young man's got, but it's LAFC and transition. Bowonga pressure from yam Up, plays ball back to Palasios, who knocks the ball into the channel. Poker's got a chance. Good first touch by a Polko left corner of the

box, pressured by Cody Baker this near site. As a ball goes back to Bowonga, twenty five yards of gold comes back on his trusted right foot or combination with Vea's to flick it over the top. Charla Shaliva Polka knocks a little down down, but he's gonna Pulasias gonna flick it to the file post to easily by Stefan fry Well done from the Sounder is good defensive and the biggest thing here is not allowing Boonga to check all the way and be

allowed to turn. Yaymar follows him forty five yards to make sure that he cannot turn and go to goal, and I think that's and then he's got to make a forty yard recovery. But at the end of the day, it's he's forced to do that in that situation and the Sounders are able to get back defensively, it's gonna force Lafc and Vella to try to flick those into play and not have too much space to pick out passes. More flicks

from Villa Stefron Fryc goes long. Certain they've been attacked it more so this season, and the accuracy of Stefan Fries put him in the top three have long range passes for goalkeepers. But certainly Bran Schmitz talks about Christian rolled On and Jordan Morris being so good in the air and those mediagonal bulls from Stephen Fry, and today the onus is gonna be it looks like that day Cody

Bakers. He presses forward, but it's LAFC fast site the right with Bogush the gold score in that first minute, but the sound has come away with it with Rusnak top of the box goes square to JP twenty two yards from gold pressed well by LFC, but the sounds still have it is Leo Chi again tries to play it along, should have taken a touch, played it in early. They've got Moldonado. It's gonna be a sound as cornic kick again Leo Chio getting him behind, but it's the recovery worked from Rusnack,

not a typical number ten dropping back winning the ball. And if Leo Chi just takes a touch instead of a square ball, he has a forty five degree and go back and that's where the golden spot is right, that's the

danger zone. Eliminates that offside and some different options. There's gonna be Rusnak the fast side, the sounds left in twinging corner kick with his right foot, arm goes up, steps up, whips it in top one his Gama tries to position his head on Gold goes over the top, gold kick LFC remains LFC one sound is nil f B MOO Stadium in downtown Los Angeles, right next to the Colosseum. It was an interesting drive here from the hotel.

Hell police escort shut down the highway. We were running a few minutes late, so they had to shut it all down and we took a quick exit. We out here on time one nine three point three KGr FM. As the bull goes along to McCarthy to the fast side of the right, headed forward by pulling's head, pull down the line, it's fayer. These last two goals have been game winners after the ninetieth minute, the last one being last week against Sported Kansas City. As the ball goes into Bowonga tries

to let it go. The sound has come away, get loose passed by Rusnacks for Polku. Top of the box strikes the bull, well goes why this time Stephen Fry had it covered. He went down Gold kicks sound is something that's what LAFC will do. One mistake on top of the box, you don't get you don't clear your lines and they'll shoot from anywhere, and that was a good effort from a Polko you know, never really threatened stuff

and fry, but you know made him think twice on that one. Rusnack comes across and just a lazy pass, good bull by coach Baca down the line and Ladara picks it off his chest. Well turns out of pressure, goes back to JP as he switched the ball from center to the fast site the left with new looking corruptions. Arms up, remonstrate with his team to show up trains, but it's elevent varns. The noise picks up as Roseneck has the ball down the left hand side again to Leo two. This time

he takes a touch and he's Rye Das good saved by McCarthy. That's what Brad was talking about. That first touch open up the angle, played it back to Ruy Diaz, good save by McCarthy, and that was one Raoul was gonna wand back at the end of the day, a great build up from the Sounders started with a gold kick and we find Leo two once again with a ball on the left hand side. He's having a heyday against Hollingshead right now. And he made the right decision there take an extra touch.

Raoul held his run that time. Throughout the game he's been trying to go near post. He gets a great effort on goal inside right foot. McCarthy makes a good saving to tackle by AFC as the ball goes out of bounds, but Cody Baker just near side the right twenty five yards from the end line, Sound is in possession in LAFC half the field open. Vargus been a look quiet so far. Call the boat to Yema, pressed well by a Poku, but Yema does well to sites that the pressure and the Sound

has come away with it. Jackson Reagan all at his feet, eleven men behind the ball. Low block of confrontation by LAFC inside their own half of the field is the longest steps a little bit higher. Sounders play around it and do well. And as you mentioned, Brad, their response for the Sounders since that first minute goal, it's been great. Cody Baker on the right and side in support, receives it, plays the ball along, cleared

by Keeley and picked up by Oben Vargas. He drives forward, does well, and he said another head of by Rudias saved by McCarthy well played by Oben Vargas found some space on the right hand side and he was ahead of by Ruy Diaz on goal saved by McCarthy. Brad Evans extended pressure from the sound as a good minut It minut and a half on the ball. It wasn't on for Cody. He didn't force it on the right hand side,

back to Jamar. It goes to the left, back to the right, and all of a sudden Obed finds himself in a great spot and man, that's a fantastic save. A diving header from Roo going near post, down and low and McCarthy makes a good save. Lafc's clearest pressure wins a free kick, but the Sounder is looking looking like they're gonna get one tonight. Lafc's under the gun right now. Now it can't all come from Leo two. It has to now be mixed up. It's got to come from this

right hand side. Cody's got to find a way to keep getting involved in the attack. Otherwise Pelasio is going to have the easiest night of the year. And that time they did and LAFC fell asleep for a second. Well, LAFC now in transition with the bull. There's a sentience this near side the left. Pelacios drives past Cody Baker plays the ball in Bowonga inside the balls quick feet, We'll get away from him, but he maintains possession. He plays the bull back to Pelasios, back to Bowonga. He had a

chance inside the bucks. Ali Sanchez with Veya looking for options, plays all left to Pelasios cuts the ball JP right spot, right time, pressed by Bowonga, but Darrow goes down. Three kick Sounders remains LFC one, sounders, nil and Brandons were mentioned. Just a response from the sound as.

Brian's got to be extremely happy. I mean, this is the best I've seen the Sounders playing quite a while, I think in terms of let's say twenty three minutes, consistent pressure on the ball, winning every first and second ball. Yeah, LFC has had a couple chances, but nothing that's really threatened Stephan Fry and the Sounders. Leo Choos had seven good crosses and opportunities already this out roll with two shots on goal and two saves from McCarthy.

And we're only twenty twenty five minutes into this game. Yet five shots on goal for the Sounders. You mentioned only three shots for LFC fifty fifty in possessions. The Sounds have come into this culdron of noise. They're really taken hold of the game. After that early early goal shell shot the team for a moment half the team stood disbelief, even us. It didn't look like he had gone in, but found himself from the Stefron Fries' bottom left corners.

The Sounders now win the ball from mcclearance by key Leanian, Jackson Reagan. With the ball, Sounders in possession, try to build some tempo, find those opportunities. Cody Baker this near side the right, playing high and why from his right back spot the ball starts to transition and it does eventually find Ladera pinched in from his right midfield spot. Cody Baker goes inside, leaves a space available for Ladera pressed by Sanchez, nothing on, goes back

to Yamar plays ball square nicely flicked around the corner by JP. Bounces a couple of times, cleared eventually by key Leani. And this is the danger that LFC pose so many attacking players in the field in transition and stand to come with a poke with the fast side. They're right pressed by j people goes in flicked away by Vargas well, but Sanchez picks it up and comes again from centers. It's near side the left Plasio to Bowonga, challenged by

Cody Baker twenty five arts from the end line. Now the Sounders are being patient in their press because ruy Dz comes back to support and they come again with Muldonado loose ball and Leo Cho's gonna pick it up. The fast side of the left got some time and space. It's gonna attack again. Goes inside squatch or rusneck Bull goes in behind back to ruye ds top of the box twenty yards goes back to JP, no real options. Cody Baker friding

support. Then she gets it from Loadera. Right corner of the box, challenged by Pelosios, goes back to JP, tries to take a strike, whips it over, just goes over. Who's an oportunity? JP from twenty

five yards out trying to find that top corner goes over. Go kick LAFC, but it means LFC one sound is new And how many times have you seen a team scorers in the first ninety seconds of a game And then there's that let off, and the sounders have done such a good job of making them play long, and if they do play short, then we're gonna press. And again the sounders recover in a good position there with Leo Chwo doing the work defensively, and then off they go JP with a good effort.

I don't mind it because if you take shots for this and someone's going to step to you eventually, right and then that opens up more space for role. But I really like what I see from Nico on this right hand side so far. He's been mobile, but he's not overtaking rus Knack space.

He's allowing rus Knack to sit in the middle, and he's really occupying this final third and the third widthwise for the Sounders on this right hand side well, certainly winning the ball in the kind of middle air of the field.

The Sounds of benefited dominated in terms of aerial duels one Yamar and Jackson Reagan have been dominant in the back well over eighty percent of those duels one and you know, Brian Schmitzer loves that competitiveness in the middle of the field, and the sound is doing a good job of trying to get a grip of this game again as the ball goes long and the sound has come away. That once again cleared, this time by Jackson. Reagan took no chances.

Good decision by the big man, lays it long while Diana of controls it tries to head it bat. Leo Choo sees the opportunity, just rolls over to McCarthy in the LFC goal. But you know what I like about that. Leo knows he's not gonna win that ball, but it sets the tone for the rest of the guys that, hey, I'm gonna put in the extra work and if something good does happen, who knows take the chance LAFC and transition of Poke through top of the Bucks finds it strikes in it just

wide. It was a chance fall in transition. It's a poke who picked the ball up. He went to the right hand side to Christos Tomu and he struck it wide of Stefan Fries right hand post. Be goal kick for the Sounds, but a chance fairly have spread. Yeah, you know, not too much danger there for me. I think the Sounders are in good position. They've got four in the back, you've got a number six coming across and yeah, you know it goes wide, but Cody does a good

job of making sure that Bouwongga is in a good position. A Polka picks it up the sound side of pill challenged by Jackson. Reagan's straying frustrated and I get you have to build out the back was sometimes high press, play it long bread. Yeah, I think at this point in the game, we've done such a good job of yes, playing out of the back, and we know that Steph can pretty much pick out any pass that he wants

on the field. Now it's a matter of do you go to Nico or do you go to Leo che Because most of the haulingshead is gonna win a challenge on the right hand side, so there's really only a couple options if the Sounders do go along. But if you go short, this is always what you risk. Bogush fastside the right outswinging corner kick with his right foot comes in clid well by Yama, challenged by Pulaskias, heads it back across to Bogusha picks it up on the right hand side. Would be one versus

Leo Chew clicks it him to his left foot. It's a freeheader. Full still in bounce, gets to the end line, comes back cleared by look Darrow. It's gonna be another corner kick LAFC, this time on that left hand side. But chance for LAFC in the box Freeheader. I think that's Haulingshead again finding himself and that's the one guy you cannot leave free inside the box. And it's a good It's good work from Bogus on the right hand

side, and that's the ball that's always the most difficult. The Sounders back line is stepping up and these guys take a chance and he'll want that one back tonight. Collas fe in front of the three two five two wall of noise. Bull comes in again. It's Hullingsheader took it down on his chest. This time the powonga strikes his left but well by a combination of JP and Obed Vargas. But it's gonna be another LAFC corner kick. Thirty in

a row. Sound is standing strong, but LAFC looking dangerous. In these corner kicks. Haulings Head especially found the ball a couple of times, one time with his head, last time with his chest. This time Ya again outswinging corner kick his left foot again freehead out by Haulings ending Bryce Schmitze's and I see Andy rohad standing on the bench, arms up in the air. Something to address at halftime, Brett, this is what we just talked about

at being in the end of the game. You can't have roos Nac marking Hauling's head on corner kicks. I just I don't understand the markup. I'd rather have our big tall guys marking up. They're big tall guys and let them battle. He's gonna win that every single time. And that's a glancing header from Hauling's head once again. It was a chance that look dangerous on those corner kicks. As Stephan Fry this time plays it long. Couldy Baker

comes in side heads the ball forward LAFC now picking the ball up. They're starting to get some momentum and pressure in these last five minutes chances on goal. As McCarthy knocks it long from outside, he's h and Yabos comes this inside the left headed won by Bowonga, knocked up by JP, challenged by Ladera for top of the box. Handball by Veya looked like block by Jackson Reagan and yes where free Uncle gives the handball by Veya as Vea pulls up,

Yam's gonna be free kick for the Sounders. Could sustained pressure from from LAFC and all it takes is one half chance and you start to get the spark and you're seeing that from LAFC now sustained possession. They're challenging for every header. They're basically looking for every single knockdown that they can right now to

create any sort of havoc for the Sounders. They've been so good and organized defensively, they know that they're gonna have to start challenging for headers, and they did that and now they've gotten a couple chances off of just effort. It's nothing fancy, it's just effort. Sounds with Leo Chu comes inside, bull got caught under his feet, lost it. Sounders now good strong challenge by Rosneck. Uncle's gonna give the free kick. Who was a late one

by LAFC because Christo Tomo came across. We'll see on the replay looked like he was just a hard challenge. Nothing sinister in that challenge. But it's gonna be a free kick for the Sounders. Thirty yards from the end line and the Sounders left channel the far side the left, Nicole Ladera stands over the ball. Leo True retains a position ten yards to Ladero's left. Does the big boys come up? Yaymar Reagan knew who standing near the ball?

Not too much height for the Sounders on the field tonight from the midst of Jordan, Morris and Christian rolled on. Good players in the air without another factor in the air for these free kicks and corner kicks. But Brendon free kicks, corner kicks pieces so vital when you play away from home. We'll see what Nico does here l a FC. Every single player behind the ball. We only have really four runners in the box right now. So do they play short? I don't think so. You pretty much have to test

the goalie. But Yamar sitting in an offside position, Let's see what they do. LFC holding alone. Now they gonna step and try to catch them off side. They're gonna drop. They drop. The ball comes in, it goes high and long and over the end line for a goal kick for LAFC remains LAFC one sounds nil here in the thirty fourth minute ninety three point

three KGr FM BMOS Stadium in downtown Los Angeles. It was an early goal the first minute from Bogush from twenty yards out found Stephen Fries bottom left corner shell shot the Sounders, but the Sounders have bounced back and have played well. As the ball goes long for McCarthy's this near side the left played forward by by Bowonga to Bogu because he goes down on the deck. Nothing given

and it's going to be new who plexed the ball. Trying to press Leo Chew forward that this Sound goes to JP and then so Rudy has had a couple of chances inside the h and yard box with distribution by Jackson, Reagan finds Albert Rosenack in the pocket of space, turns out of pressure on the halfway line the fast side the left come back to JP. Got some time and space, no real pressure. Cody Baker providing an option on this near side the right, high and right, just like Alex Roldan often does.

It's Yama comes into lafc territory, pressed by Bowonga. The sound is able to maintain possession, but they win it with keeleening. Bogus tries to play ball into a Polk who was flashing from the right hand side in behind but cut out by knew who. The ball bounces around and La Darrow gets not to the ground. Ted Uncle puts a well the deck free kick and there was a poo's fresh off a red card against Houston slam the ball in the deck and that's a cheap yellow card to the LAFC man. Well, it's

never the one that the first one that the referee gets. And Bogus probably had a foul committed on him early here and he's complaining to the referee and then Nico somehow gets away with one there as well and draws a free kick. Apoku angry slams a ball against the ground and that's such easy, easiest yellow card you'll see all night. Thirty five minutes gone. Here be most

stadium LAFC one sound as nil. It's the sound ass free kick. As they're get the ball going inside there half the field and the fast side of the left, Ted Uncle asking for it to be reset. It's a whistle to his mouth and gets us going again and checkson the Reagan as Vea stepped

up a line from his deeper midfield spot. He's now playing down the middle as A as A's false number nine as he presses Stephen Fry who goes along easy for Key needs to drop it on his chest a Pelasius provides the angle, plays it around the corner to Wonga who it's a loose touch to Cody

Baker comes off Bowonga. It's gonna be a thrown for the sounds. It's near side the right with Cody Baker comes back to JP look interruptions New Wide on the left comes to Jackson. Reagan New comes wide and eventually receives the ball. Leo two ten yards in front of him. Receives it defeat pressed by Hauling's head back to New who to sounders now try to find that opportunity

to get back on the board. As Cody Baker comes wide, Bull goes over the top Keylan and sees the danger drops two yards but loosed Clarence by Hauling's head falls inside the box and it bounces pressed by Rosenack and eventually gets it off Pelacios about to Cody Baker got some time in space five yards from the end line, pressed well by Pelacios. There's gonna be a sound as

Storing right before that role does such a good job. Cody Baker staying wide role does such a good job, and he's so dangerous that both center backs step with him and the right back hauling's head and our left back for LAFC are sitting at an opportunity for Cody to start making these diagonal runs inside JP. The center backs need an option in behind, and Baker can't just sit here and pass back every single time. He's got to provide us some whit

there. Ball was launched in from Cody Baker. Long throw from the young man. It's gonna flick off an LAFC player. It's gonna be a corner kick for the sound of the fast site. The sounds left is Ladero. This time runs over to the ball. It was rosneck on the two previous corner kicks from that side. The time is gonna be Ladero with an outswinging corner kick. Arm goes up, ball comes in top of the six yard Bucks bounces through to Bogu shoot cleects the ball, tries to knock it around

JP. Ball goes out of bounds. We could see it from here. Assistant referee on this near site did not see it. There's gonna be a LAFC throne this near side their left hand side, as Pelacios walks slowly to pick it up to get into thirty eighth minute LAFC one sounds nil. Good corner kick from Nico and that time he was looking for a near post. All six runners went to the near post, ended up going far and the

Sounders. Yeah, thirty eight minutes into this game. I'm not sure what more Schmitz is gonna say at halftime to get the most out of this team, to find one to put one in the back of the net other than this right hand side. Can we keep getting Cody involved and get him confidence to make a run forward and just stretch the LAFC defense on this side. I think that's the only thing really missing from the Sounders at this point in

this Yeah. Yeah, LAFC got that goal. App from outside the box, the average shot is about nineteen yards out leaves mulescents end of distance, say a pepper the goal from distance. The goal was a great example of that, Sounds. Can we'll do some shots from outside the box as well as LAFC At this new side the left we sent Chez Goes down the line towards the end line a poker wriggles free of game, Will gets the end line looks like we went out nothing given clay by Jackson Reagan. It's gonna

be an LAFC corner kick on that left hand side. And this is what we talked about, was Ilier Sanchez creating the game. The Sounders have done such a good job of keeping Ilia. I don't know if he's had more than fifteen or twenty touches in this game as a six for them. That just shows you how the Sounders line of confrontation and is negating Ilier their most important piece. And that time he's allowed time and space he plays in behind

in a POLKU is such a good player. To get him behind and shifty, you just cannot make a foul right Yamar's bigger, yes, but if he goes to make a challenge in the box, he's going to draw a foul. Sounders deal with the corner kick well, free kick for the Sounders. It was a push and with that we gotta throw it back down to

Michelle in the sidelines. Thanks Danny. You guys are talking a lot about Cody Baker on the right hand side, and of course Nico Laedaro playing above him on the right hand side, the same right hand side that he originally

started playing with when he joined the Sounders in twenty sixteen. And when we were talking to Brian Schmitzer during our production meeting, he pointed this pairing out of the two and saying specifically how Cody is a very defensive minded not an attacking defending player, and how the focus really this week was on Nico being in a position to help him come up with those attacking moments when he could.

Thanks Michelle. As the sound is niked off the toe of a poku top of the bucks, but sounds come away that bak now this near side the right drives forward but defending by Veya. So good to see a player of Veya's stature doing his defensive work as well as a sound as retained possession. JP frustrated with the options forward to go back to get switched from Yamark's the fast side the left with knew who as Lafc well organized defensively. Nothing

on forward for the Sounder is that it go from side to side. This side with Jackson Reagan, he sensor to the near side the right, Gaymark short to JP Colby Baker making that slashing run inside all goes long. Plass Or sees the danger heads it clear, but the Sounders pick up the pieces. Foul by Bogush, Yes it was, and I could puts the whistle to his mouth. There's gonna be a sound as free kick thirty five yards

from the end line on the right channel. Yeah. So the first time we saw Cody really take that chance and try to get him behind and you haven't played the ball on. But we end up winning the second ball, and that's fine. It's all about gaining space on the field, and how do you do that. You have to be committed to making the runs and then also winning the second ball, and then that can get a good free kick opportunity. Here. This is a good spot for the Sounders. It's

Ladero and JP over the ball. Similar angle for GP's assistant Rudy. As the ball comes into the fire post, Jackson Reagan gets nudged off the ball by Elie Sanchez and Moldonado, but the Sounds pick it up left corner of the box with Ruy ds the far side of the left governation with Ladero back to Ruy Diastres a w with the ball and it deflects up in the air inside the box. Jackson Reagan tries to flick the ball, but it finds

Bowonga in transition. Polacios in supports near side. The left drives forward, GP slides across, delays an LAFC build again with Eli Sanchez. No real pressure on Sanchez as he picks the ball up and rolls it square to Bogus, the gold scorer for LAFC. In that first minute. There's the hauling seat on the right hand side down the line towards the end line, defended well by Leo Chu this time did his defensive work. But it's gonna be

an LAFCA cornic kick. It's never gonna be easy for the Sounders tonight. Now you have to go in a halftime only down by one, so they got to be really careful here. Yeah, the Sounders are in good defensive shape there and Layo two is still doing the work on that side. And yeah, they get a corner kick, but that's no issue for the Sounders. And we'll see do they switch things up here on the corner maybe move It looks like Cody Baker's moving to Hollingshead. I'm in the air outswinging cornic

kick right foot comes in. Halling said, this time does go up for the ball that gets nudged off. Good enough for the Sounders is the ball gets cleared as Pelasias too plays it to Bowonga. Step over by Bowonga, but Cody Baker goes down to ground, does well, good time tackle. It's going to be a throwing from LAFC twenty five yards from the corner flag. Bowonga plays it to Sanchez, goes back to Kiolini, who's been in the right place at the right time. Use all his experience in this first

half to nick the ball off. Rudy has twice inside the box as he plays the ball for its Sanchez to Pelacios, back to Sanchez on this near side the left, pressed by Ladero and JP is Couldy Baker sits back in support. Kilin with his left foot goes short to Sanchez. Good played by JP, reads the danger well, slides and wins the ballot loose from Yamark comes off. Sanchez goes back to Fry, who launches the ball forward.

As we get into the forty fourth minute here at BMO Stadium, LAFC one Sounders nil on ninety three point three KGr FM picture perfect night for soccer. So Sounders trying to find that equalizing goals. You get towards half time and it's Hollingshead who skips by Leo Chi, but Leo Chu's coming again to defense to help the defensive players. The polk who fast side the right right corner of the box, support by Va who comes inside to his left foot.

Sanchez twenty five yards from Gold, middle of the park where was the Palasios top of the box, strikes it. There was any it deceived, separate, fright per moment it goes over the tops of Gold geek for the Sounders, But I could have been dangerous, Brett. I'll tell you what.

From our view, we had a perfect view behind that ball and it did not rotate one time, but it moved left to right about three or four and it puts Stephan Fry on his heels and at some point that ball was always gonna drop and the Sounders fortunate enough, you know, and the Sounders will take this he like you said, they'll shoot from anywhere and that's a good twenty twenty five yards from goal and they'll have a goal that wasn't too far off for the Sounders, but I would love to have Ilia's job.

I don't think he's gone outside the width of the eighteen once in this game. He hasn't been put under too much pressure, and in that in those moments, he's now starting to find himself into the game. The Sounders have to be very conscious about that. As he moves forward LAFC with the bull this this side the left. We'll see how much time the referee will give us to the end of this first stuf, which we approached the forty fifth minute as LAFC build out the back. But so the LFC struggle since that

CCL lost the leone. One of the struggles the sounder's head. As the ball goes from center to the near side the left goes over the head of Pelasios, is going to be a throw in for Cody Baker to go short to ober Vargas good turn away from pressure, goes back to Yama and the extra mile stoppage time is gonna be one minute. As the ball bounces in the middle of the park, comes back to Pelasios to Bogus the goal scorer.

This near side the left comes to Bowonga been somewhat quiet leading mlscent goals as the sound has come away with it and they find a equalizing gold these the last few seconds of this first up driving forward is New left corner of the box to Leo. Troupe, being active in this first half, goes

to Ladero office right side position on the left hand side. This time New drops the ball in cleared by Kiolini, finds a poke on his chest pressed by Obed Vargas, goes back to Pelasios nob Vargas drops off as LAFC come again. As we approach the final seconds of this first half, good little ball by Bogush to goal score drive forward similar to his goal, plays board to Bowonga, stop left for the box, drags it wide. There's a

chance for LFC. In transition, Bogush received the ball, move the ball forwards to Bowonga with his week of left foot, dragged the ball wide. Gold kick Sounders remains LFC one Sounders. Now he thought the Sounders were gonna get the last opportunity in this half, and then all of a sudden, Kiolini comes up, wins the ball. LAFC do good to recover and it's two v two up front, and I'll tell you what that wasn't far off? Well, referee blows the whistle to end this wide open first half.

A goal by Bogush for LAFC in the first minute of the game puts LAFC up on the game. But Brad, your final thoughts before we go to halftime. Just an unfortunate start to the game. Other than that, the Sounders were fantastic and I played some really good soccer, especially down that left flank. Left flank, Leo chu was was dynamiting this scritch out. I haven't seen him play like that since Kansas City. And he's doing the work

defensively. So if the Sounders continue, they're going to get another one or two chances. Stay type defensively and get their heads right. Yeah, we'll take a short break, Jackson Phelps. We'll be back to break it all down at half time here at Bemo Stadium in downtown LA. It's LAFC one sounds nil. At Providence, we're saying yes to the youth of our community

Sounder Zec. Now time for the sounder ZEC halftime show. The sun has set here in La and the Sounders at the half are down one

nothing. It was a good last forty four minutes, A really good last forty four minutes from Seattle. Not so good on the first minute, a turnover, a counterattack for LAFC and that turned into this. Towards the h and yabuts twenty yards out takes a strike just goes wide. It's a goal. Boogoosh thought he was wide. Inside the first minute. The Sounds have conceded inside the first minute from aventis pointed as you look wide. News stands

there in somewhat disbelief and the sound is now behind. Early at BMO Stadium's LAFC nil sound LFC one sound is nil Bogosh with the goal. Sounders down one nothing here at the half. So let's get through this here in this first half. Obviously, LAFC get the goal there and then everything changes and well, obviously will spend a lot of time in postgame talking about exactly

how. But the Sounders quickly took control of this game, and they looked like the better team for most of that first half apart from that goal. Twelve minute Leo Chi, I mean really the first twelve minutes, Leo Chow attack that left side, over and over and over, making these runs. It's making these crosses trying to find Raoul. In the twelve minute he actually gets tackled it it looked like there could have been a penalty. Shout that's

no good. He actually has to get taken off by the trainer to the side. He's back on. Everything's okay with Leo Chew. But Leo Chio was attacking right after Elofs scored really hard down that aside. Unfortunately nothing came of it. Then the best chance came of the maybe the best chance of the first half came in both the twenty second and twenty third minute. First, you have over on the left side. Chew making another run, passes

it to Rawl Rudiez. That SHOT's blocked, comes back out. Sounders reset. Less than a minute later, they change up to the point of attack, come down the right side. Obed Vargas gets a ball in his first It starts with Cody Baker, then it gets Obed Vargas, ball goes in. Raoul dives header saved. Two saves there for the LAFCS MLS Cup hero from last name McCarthy, McCarthy two saves in about a minute and they keeps the Sounders equalizer off the board. We saw LAFC come back with some brief

big attacks there later on in the twenty eight thirtieth minutes. Corner after corner after corner, shot after shot, all of them thankfully misses, and they're right before the half. You heard Danny and Brad a few moments ago belong on a counterattack right before the buzzer sounded. He shot wide there towards the LAFC supporter end of the three two five two here at BMO Stadium. So it was a wild half of soccer. It was a very entertaining Unfortunately,

Welcome back to Perhaps I'm Show. Welcome back to BMO Stadium, beautiful Los Angeles, California, where we are here in the LFC, currently leading your Sounders a half by a score of one. Nothing this copyrighted audiocast of Major League soccerman I'll be retransmitted, reproduce or rebroadcast without the express written consent of Major League Soccer. So in terms of what the Sounders need to do now and can do to get back, they are in this game. They're only

down by a goal. But let's take a look at the Sounders bench really quick. It includes Stephen Cleveland, a Pisa Soko, a Bear, Reed Baker Widing, Freddy Montero, Dylan Tevez, Kellen Row, and Josh Atencio. So you have some options there in Dylan Tevez, Freddy Montero, a bear, a bearro with a couple of goals on this year. Was sure would be nice to see him get back into form. I think there are

options for Brian Schmenzer to add to the attack to get things going. And one interesting thing is we're seeing I think a good job by the Sounders in the offensive end Leo choose working down that left side. You have Nico Ladero, who I think is drifting a bit inside, you know, knowing that Nico's starting out on the right, needing to help Cody Baker. I don't

think that Nico's staying on that right side enough. So you know, you could theoretically bring on, you know, a Dylan Tevez or even you know, a Freddy Montero just to get Niko back in the middle and try to I think, you know, get somebody out on the left, whether it be at Tevez, you know, and perhaps and we'll see exactly how these

things shift out. But there's options for Seattle, I think, and there's options for Brian Spencer should get more offensive attacking players in the field, make sure Nico is in the best possible spot to contribute to this game, and also allow guys like Russneck to maximize his spot as well. So we will see how this thing shakes out here in the second half. I will quickly tell you one more note Sounders FC soccer is presented by Providence, Swedish official

Welcome back to Bemos Stadium in Los Angeles, where the Sounders trail at halftime one goal to nil against LAFC. Does the Sounders get ready to kick off here with Ruy Diaz as ted Uncle puts a whistle to his mouth and gets

us going. In this second half, the Sounders in that rave green shirts, blue shorts, rave green socks are attacking the goal to our left to the three two five two north end here at Bemo Stadium as Veya close the ball down and it's going to be as Sounders throwing on this near side the left. It was a first minute goal caught us all off guard by Boguche

from out twenty yards found the bottom left quarter of Stefron FRI's goal. But the Sounders bounced back and my all accounts had a really really strong performance in that second half as they try to find that equalizing goal here as new pressed by LAFC. It's a poku goes down well by GP as LAFC picked the ball up. Tempo in that first top was high, it was back and forth is LAFC build out the back. But Brad, what's Brian Schmitzer said

to his team at half time. Yeah, I think he walks in and says, hey, look, it's an unfortunate start to the game, but we were the better side throughout that first half, so you cannot let off the gas. LAFC is probably not gonna play as bad as they did in that first half. As the sounds pick it up off Leo Chu, Leo Chu left corner of the box, drives forward, goes into Ladera inside the box, deflects of Moldonado and Hollings Head picks up the pieces press by Ladera

well and Leo Chow. As the ball event she gets cleared down the sounds left hand side collected by Knew who russneck to JP head up goes from center to the fast side the right to Cody Baker, pinched in from his right back spot, plays the ball down the line deflected of Pelasios, doesn't go out of bounds. Lassios re covers, plays the ball inside to Bowonga to Bogus, the gold scorer. It comes off the press from Yemark comes square

to Veya. As they transition this near side the right with a poker right corner of the box would be one versus New skipped by New Nu would cover as well goes down the ground. It's gonna be a corner kick LFC and look bench Mat says, keep doing what you guys are doing because it was a successful first half. You that's told the sounder is that Leo two was gonna have seven or eight good chances. Role is gonna get two good chances. We'd be happy with the half. Veya this near side the LAFC right

with his left footsween instri and corner kick. Big men are up. Hollingshead's been dangerous inside the eighteen yard box as he floats with Cody Baker. Ball comes in top of the six yard box header by Maldonado. Wh't she ricochet off Jackson reagum and finds himself to Veya again as he flicks the ball in, challenged by Maldonado top of the box, but one goa referee gives the

whistle to his mouth. It's gonna be a free kick. And with that, Michelle, what we've said with speculation, but you spoke to Brian Schmitza, what did he have to say, it's almost like both of you guys have played for Brian Schmitzer before. You understand that. Man. Yes, he said very similar things to what you guys projected and thought we're going to happen. That this team did play better in the first half at that at the end of the day, it doesn't count because they didn't score. He

said. The focus at halftime and the changes and adjustments he told his team to make or they need more numbers in the box when they're pressing offensively, and then on the defensive side, they really need to watch those set pieces and be better overall really watching the transitions because that's when LAFC is dangerous. Brian does think that LAFC will start getting fatigued here shortly, and hopefully the

Sounders can take advantage. He tells me. If the team continues to play with this intensity, it's not a matter of if they're going to score, it's a matter of win. Well, hopefully that's the case as the sound as well bank on some fatigue. Thirty three thousand miles have been flown by LAFC so far this season. This is the twenty sixth match already in the campaign. Sounds no all up travel all too well from the CCL campaign.

The successful CCL campaign. The sound has head last year as LAFC pressed by the sound is nicked away from Hollingshead by Obed Vargas Moldonado this near side the right rolls it down the line to a POLKU flicks the board the outside, his foot down to Hollingshead, challenged by Jackson Wigan and JP goes back to a Poku. Sound is standing strong on top of the box. Eleven men behind the ball press on Ely Sanchez by Ladero who's pinched him from that right

side. But Wonga has the ball to Eli Sanchez run by Polus just down the left hand side, whips it in and it flashes across goal. It's gonna be a goal kick to the sounders remains LFC one sound as nil. There's great points from Schmetz is, Yeah, this team is gonna get tired. There's there's heavy legs out there, and yeah, that's chartered flights now. But that's a lot of travel for any team, any team in the

world to try and recover. And the sound is coming off ten days rest, right, can you physically mentally use that to push yourself through this second half and ultimately they get a result because this LAFC team will tire. But they gotta do it now because if the LAFC gets won in the next minute or two, there will be a tough outing for the Sounders. As we break fall down the left hand side, it's near side the left Leo Chow

got some space, gets inside the box, plays the ball across. It was he hasn't made a slash run to that front post, went past the front post, but challenge well by LAFC and there's gonna be a Sounders corner kick as JP jogs across and certainly the Sounders have responded well in second half. Play nine goals in the first half throughout the season, fifteen goals in

the second half, and that's a reverse of what LAFC. They typically scored more goals in the first half the season ten goals against eight in the second half. So Sounders will bank on the fact that they can find a goal here, so they deserving of their play. The ball goes short way off the training field, skips to game are inside the box. JP top of the box, strikes the ball knuckle up. It goes wide nicks off an LAFC player. It's gonna be a corner kick, so the Sound is again

on their left hand side. This time Ladero is gonna jog across and take it with his left foot. A good trick player from the Sounders, and Gamar almost finds himself in a good spot. He's just unlucky not to get that touch to the top of the box, probably within a free shot on goal Ladero left foot. It's gonna be an outswinging corner kick. The Sound is left hand side. It comes in the top of the six yard box. It's a chance for Jackson. Reagan volleyby Rude Diaz goes wide. It

was a scissor kick of sorts from about twelve yards. It goes wide. If McCarthy's goal remains LFC one sounds nil. Good service from Nico that time, finding Jackson, just unfortunately he does get bodied up there, but it

falls decently to Rowland. I'd like to see the replay on this one, because yeah, it's a karate kick of swords and that would have been the incredible as a ball falls to his feet, tries to smash it ultimately goes why Sound has picked the ball up in there half the field off the toe of bogush the goal score l AFC. As the Sounders build again from the back, goes square to Cody Baker, pressed by Bowonga, but Cody Baker good sharp touch, plays the ball around the corner to Obert Vargas, who

crosses into LFC half of the fuel. Ladera pressed, plays the ball back to Cody Baker looks up lets the play the ball into Ruy Diezlo reverse pass a bit firm on the pass as Kowonga challenges Yemar and referee gives a throne for the Sounders. But Sounders FC socket is presented by Provident Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders FCS weird Bemo Stadium here in downtown Los Angeles, right next to the Collar C and the Sounders trailing after a first minute goal from Boguche

against LAFC. But the Sounders a bounced back started well in the second half. Let's give you that Sounders line up no changes. Stefan Frying goaler back four of Baker game Reagan knew Who Vargas and JP in the middle, Ladera on the right hand side. Roznak is the ten, Leo Chu, who was lively in that first half on the left hand side, and Ruie Diaz as the number nine up front. As a sound As build from center to the far side the right, the Sounds attacking our the goal to our left

and their traditional rave greens. Cody Baker finds the ball into Obed VARs We've seen him in those spots before. As the ball comes square again top of the box thirty yards from Gold to New, rolls it into Ruidiaz top left corner of the box, looking for options. Slashing run by Obed Vargas goes back to chew back to New Sounds now prodding trying to find an opening. As the ball gets played into Cody Baker. Kiolini greets the ball well cushion

header but picked off Bouwonga by Ladera. Labuwonga recovers, Well finds via middle of the field, will flick with his left foot pressed by Leo Chu well as the he finds a Polk who tries to flick it around the corner to Bogush late challenge by Bogush on JP. It's gonna be a free kick for the Sounders remains one though Well you see Vlla raised his hands there like just calm down because they're in a good position. No reason for LAFC to commit

the foul there. They actually let the Sounders out of a good sustained pressure that the Sounders had and LAFC does a good job to recover and break and then it's just a silly foul from LAFC. And that is tired mind and tired body. Right. Normally I don't think that they would commit a foul there, and the Sounders fortunate as they build with a good couple of spells here possession full top of the box goes to Ladero, so JP middle of

the field, thirty yards from gold ladera flick around the corner. Jp again got some time and space trying to find that both to the back posts. It worked so well against Charlotte for that third goal, but this time cut out by LAFC. Clear but the Sounds pick up the second bull. Good one touch full by Gama, so solid with the bull his feet this season is a loose one by Russneck. There's the next parents have flown all the way from Europe, be here tonight to see the sun play and really great

atmosphere at the most stadium. The Sounders trying to find that equalizing goal here in the fifty fifth minute LAFC build. But let's give you the LFC lineup. They're wearing that traditional all black McCarthy and goal Hollingshead, Maldonado, Kielini, Pelacios, Chris Otomo, Sanchez Veya and then attacking three of a Poku Bogush the goalscorer and Boowonga golden boot player in MLS with ten goals and two

assists on the year certainly have been a great introduction. So this LAFCTM this year came in last year got a goal his first nine games, but Irongo left and Rongest taken of the mental and found those goals. As the Sounders now win the ball with knew who with Ladera middle of the field, tries to on the ball to Leo Chewi does left corner of the box, plays the ball in shorts and he was saying, rash challenge by Kiolini. Nothing

given by the referee. It was a rash challenge by Keiolini. Rudi has went down an LAFC in transition with Booonga steps on the ball and so but Vargus who wins it? The sounds coming transition. But bratt evans, what do you see? I'd love to see that one again. It looks like Raoul had positioning inside the box. He's standing on his own two feet. There's no reason for Raoul to go down there because he actually actually has Keiolini after the side. He puts it on his right foot. It's a finish

well. The referee called up Rudy as extremely quickly. As the ball goes down the left hand side, Leo Chu again challenges, Holly said, nothing given by the referee. Pushed over by Maldonado, it rolls over the end line for what looks like an LAFC and we're looking at the replay brand play rash challenge from such an experienced player that's definitely seen those given. The referee walks away. And that's what I don't understand about that play role is in

an advantage. Oh here we go. Here he goes pulling the ball back. Look like he's too active in terms of listening to his earpiece, because certainly you do wonder what vas about. I mean, at least give him a second. Maybe they saw it, didn't see enough. I told him to keep going. But yeah, front from the replay, it looks like he Leni steps in and gives him a bump, but not enough to even

get to even get a look. Well, this copyright audiocasts of Major League Soccer may not be retransmitted, reproduced, or rebroadcast without the express written consent of Major League Soccer. As we are here in the fifty eighth minute of b MOS Stadium, and certainly the Sounders trying to find that equalized goal as they trail one goal to Neil to Eliot. There's a little lull in this game right now from LAFC and they're getting caught. I don't think they know

if they want to keep possession, if they want to press. And Steve Torondolo's up on the sideline clapping his hands, telling the guys pull the strings, move the ball, pick up the tempo. That's the tired legs. And this is always when they hit. It's always sixty minutes into the game, and now the Sounders must take advantage. Certainly, glass fields could be

little heavy on the legs if they're watered and new turf out there. As a Polker wriggles clear of Jackson. Reagan drives forward, the ball goes in to Prolong the choice to cut it to Pelaciosa. The Sounders now in transition with Ladero the fast side. The Sounders right comes inside, square ball to GP, switches it from center to it's near side the left. The R two coming inside plays the ball into russneck press from Boger's top of the box.

Sounders still have it with Ladero. He was a loose pass by Ladero as it trickles out on the fast side for a LFC throwing And to your point, Bred, it looks like steep a buke. They're lively Croatian players at a real big impact act on this team. Since he came in, he comes ready to come on the field. So Boo Wonga, who's that spurts of hate quality in this game tonight. But back from international judity, you said a little bit fatigue in the legs, a good plan to come

up the bench. Yeah, a tired player in Bowonga tonight. Not the typical performance that we've seen from him, really getting out at defenders, creating chances. He had I think one strike in the first sound that tested stuff just a little bit. But you could tell he was tired tonight those those dribbles right that one. Then he just lost on this left hand side. Normally those are ones that he's gonna recover and get back, and tonight just

wasn't his night. But who comes in to replace him? This buke strong, talented and can certainly find the back of the net for LAFC. Yeah, there's gonna be another challenge for Cody Baker as he slips on the left hand side, a lightful like swap for booonga is this is that LAFC come

in transition with a Poku Neo Chu coming back to defend well. As Veya tries to flick the ball up well played by Cody Baker, read the danger head of the ball up played by gaymar Ball goes back drilled back to Stephan Fry plays the ball well, doesn't take any chances, but it's LFC picked the ball up with Bogush on the fast side, the LFC left back to Keiley and as it build out of the back again. Maldonardo scored a goal

against Sporting Kansas City to tie it up last weekend. After giving away the penalty that got Sporting KEC on the board's key lee the outside his foot flings Pelosios world towards the end line. The fast side of the left clips off

Gaymer shout for handball. Nothing given by the referee is the sound is now a little sloppy in possession as Ladera goes down strong on Eli Soundche's yellow card for Ladera, But we don't mind you captain going down to ground and sort of build some aggression in this game as a sounder trying to find the equal zing goal. It's gonna be a free kick for LAFC the fast side the

left, thirty five yards from the end line. What do you think about Ladera playing on that right hand side, Brad, you think, yeah, I think he's done a Nis and John, I think he's looked pretty good. Yeah, I think he's had a definitely had a good first half this second half finding the game has opened up right. We didn't see too much space like this in the first half, and that's tired legs from LAFC really

sending numbers forward as they usually do, but not getting back. So Nico has to take advantage of that, find those spots where you can pick up the ball and charge at at at lafc's defenders, which is at the end of the day, it's his slip passes that are gonna unlock Raoul. They're gonna unlock Roos Snack if they're in the right positions. There was a miscommunication from Bellacios and buk it ricochets off the young LFC players. Shit's good for

throwing two. Cody Baker's gonna play a nice ball into Ruey Dazoo holds the bullet well by kiliny free kick given the referee and with that we're going to throw it down to Michelle. Thank you, Danny. Yeah. I talked to Brian Schmittzer at halftime and I asked him specifically about Cody Baker and his

performance today on the right hand side. He said he was a little nervous in the beginning of the match, but he's settled in nicely and earlier when we talked to him in our production meeting, he referenced him as a very similar qualities to O'Neil Fisher, being able to play back and forth on the

right or the left hand side. Obviously being tested a lot more today on the right hand side, having to be more attack being minded, but as of halftime, Brian was very pleased with what he was seeing from him. Yep, I think we've seen the same thing. It's been quality on the defensive side, certainly challenged for the young men with Bowonga. Now Buke does the Sound has build out the back with yay Mazi cuts the ball away from

pressure and JP rolls it back to Stephen Fryers. Right as you mentioned, a bit of a lull right now, Sounds need to find a bit more of a another gear to go up to the spondage so well, after giving away that early goal in the first minute, what the Sounds need to do is we get him in the sixty third minute as a trail won't go to nil gets LFC. Yeah, I think. I think at this point LAFC

is tired. Ilia is not coming forward as much. So you notice on that ball that got played back to Steff we had two center backs and then you have JP showing and Obed Vargas in the same space. He decides to play long, Nikos has no option for anyone underneath him. I want to see Obed played more as a number eight. I want him to push forward, right. I think JP tonight can do the job. By himself make it four for four in the midfield and allow Obed to push forward. At

some point we're gonna have to go. It doesn't matter if it's one nothing, tonight too, nothing, three nothing. The sounds have to push forward. At some point. We got to get more numbers involved in the attack. Sound has come away that it was a flick by Veya. They got cut out and well played by Jackson. Reagan drops his shoulder, gets away

from Pressia on this near site. The sound is left Obed Vargas press from Bogush goes back to Stefan fry bull at his feet, nothing available clips it from center to the left hand side to new flicks the ball well down the line, but picked up by LAFC becas it's Hollingshead, who is dangerous in their set pieces, especially from corner kicks. As Maldonado plays it into Sanchez

who played against Sporting Casey. When Achillean knocks it long to Buke, challenge well by Yama use all his experience, ball bounces, gets his body between ball and player, clays his lines. But LAFC gonna come again, and the sound is now to try and get a grip of this game. Find the ball is nearside the right top of the box. You gets a touch, gets away from him, but sounds clear. But LAFC find the ball again with Sanchez with Pelasi or Sentez thirty five yards from goal, center of

the field. Bogush top of the box, bats Aveya finds Buke on the left corner of the box. Step over with Cody Baker, but Cody Baker delays top of the box. We're pressure if you look like an off side, but nothing given by the referee. Cordy Baker challenges top of the books again to bow Gooch to Keia Liny good defending by the sound if boges in behind Madero to Pelacios and he was a chance for Bea got stuck under his feet. There was good played by LAFC. But here comes the Sounders on

the left hand side, near side the left. Leo Chi driving inside the books, got a chance Grudieth looking for him. Was a fumbled cross by Leo two. He could have bubbled up on his foot. Wasn't clean, but it's gonna be a corner kick for the sounds remains LFC one sounders, Nil Brennans back to backs and back to back soccer right there, Vella, I don't I don't know what he was doing. I think he was trying

to flick it. Yeah, he was trying to flick it back between his legs and Jackson Reagan does a great job of coming across and making a challenge. At least Steff had it handled and then all of a sudden, off we go Leo Chio and we're sitting in the perfect position. I don't know why I didn't take his touch the goal. Yep, he almost got caught in two minds as Lee Ladaro. Now this near side, the left left foot, outscreen corner kick, easy for McCarthy top of the six yard,

but clecks it well. But yeah, it was kind of coined two minds and just got away from him. Yeah. Well, whenever you play with Raoul, you're really caught in one mind. Where's Raul? So but for him, he's got to be selfish. There an attack, attack the keeper and ultimately maybe puts it on his right foot and slides it far post. And I think the only thing he thought about there where's Raoul? How can

I get the ball to roll? Well? Sounders Bred mentioned we'll find a win two wins in the last ten as lafc drive forward again as near side the right, with houlling his head, he tries to find a poku with a blind pass, reverse pass a poker come inside. Nothing there. Paul trickles out for a Sounders throwing this near side the left, eighteen yards from the corner flag. As the Sounders subs now getting warmed up with the most speed. To see if Brian Schmutz is gonna make some changes. We get

here in the sixty seventh minute to find that equalizing goal. As the ball goes down the line to Leo Chu got some time and space again Moldonado closing down ten yards from the end line. Moldonado won'd be one defending Leo Chu, trying to slow the ball down. We want him a bit more speed at leaf seen clear the ball but well played by ober Vargas. Ball to girl's neck, top of the box, pressed well by Bogush, goes back to Leo Chu. As you said, Bred, it's could be some fatigue

from Leo Chu. As we see him standing there kind of crouched down trying to get his breath. I think that's it for Leo Cho tonight. I mean, he put in a fantastic shift of seventy minutes. I expected that to you know, happen ten minutes ago. And maybe he'll get a second win here and keep pushing forward because he's been the bright spot for the Sounders tonight. He's been a threat. With Alex Roldan away on international duty with

El Salvador. Usually that balance on the right hand side, Cody Bakers try to fill in, but it's been Leo. Chu has been all action this game so far, certainly to find his third wind. The second wind is gone, there's LAFC. Now come away with the ball of fast side. The left comes inside to Sanchez. Toveya got some time and space plays the ball to Hollingshead this near side. The right comes inside towards the left foot.

Try to play a little reverse pass to a Poku, but defended well by knew who square ball by ross Nick got away from him for a minute, but Ladera did a good job to play the ball down line nicely with outside his left foot. It was Santors went to ground, collected the ball, kept it in bounds and now LFC come again. The left hand side with Buke goes past Yamar. It was Yamar's strength and power that nudge Buke.

But it's gonna be a cornic at LFC remains LFC one sounds now, LAFC trying to get that second goal right now and plush and you saw it there. Leo two is exhausted first half. He's tracking back, sprinting, doubling down that one. He's cut well behind the play. LAFC goes up numbers and all of a sudden, the Sounders are under some serious pressure here. It's gonna be bogush with his right foot the fast side the left in swinging corner kick. Big men are up. Keiolini inside the eighteen yard Bucks

grappling with new Who's the ball comes in? Whipped in well Yaymark gets over Sanchez and clears the ball, but it's bogush again. It cuts by Ladero top left corner of the box. Tries to whip it in difficult one for five, but he handled it well and it bounced right in front of him and the rave Green up back at home this weekend to face Orlando City SC on Saturday, June twenty fourth at seven thirty pm. Watch the match for free on the Apple TV app and listen on ninety three point three KGr FM

or l RA thirteen sixty am in Spanish. The Providence, Swedish prematch radio shows start at seven pm. Saturday's match is presented by Starbucks, the official pride partner of Sounders FC. As we're here in the seventieth minute Bemos Stadium, home of LAFC, is LFC lead one goal to nil for a first minute goal by Bogush as a Sounders looking for the equalizing goal of bounced back

well over fifty percent of possession in this game. The ball goes down the line left hand side, cut out well by LAFC and it's the LFC gonna come again. Ce Fuentes standing on the sidelines as Urundlow looks to make a change, get some fresh legs on. Ball goes down the line for LAFC, challenged by a poku on new New gets his body between ball and man and a Polku does nothing more than bundle him over. That's gonna be a Sounders free kick. There's to be c Fuentes and it looks like call Us

fair falls off his captain's armed. Man's gonna hand it off to Sanchez there's gonna be cars Veo, who's scored the winning goal off the bench against Sporting Casey of the weekend, comes off tonight and makes way for c Fuentes, Ecuadorian player who comes off the bench and certainly highly touted young man as well as certainly clubs from Europe have been sniffing around because he comes off the bench and slides in in a more forward position, usually a midfield spot, but

playing high up the field. As the Sounds build on this near side the left with new who to ruid. He has challenged quickly by centers and LFC come away with it. Polk turns away from pressure. The LFC build again, Poker getting away from Vargas stuck a leg out, a Poker went over. It's gonna be at an LAFC free kick this near side the right. Well, it says a lot about the Sounders defensive shape tonight, partically doing really well to shut down Bolonga, to shut down Vella for the better part

of this game. Pretty pretty non exists. We didn't say that their names too often tonight, and that's what the Sounders had to do tonight and say for that first minute of the game. The Sounders have been very good defensively and they've also been good offensively. Overall, a good performance from the Sounders. But like we said, fifteen minutes left, do we make some attacking

subs or do we just go like for like at this point. So if Brian's thinking right now, as we see sweet Baker whitching and Kellerro getting ready to come on the field, Cody Baker makes way on the fast side as he trudges off, claps some sound As fans who are here again in their numbers. DA Baker Whitching's gonna be a lightfu like switch for Cody Baker,

maybe preparation to Saturday as well. Good run out by Baker, and it's going to be Ladera who comes off the field but's disappointed somewhat somewhat on what PC As keller Rose slides in, he's going to play on that right hand side like for like swap fladeros so fresh legs up and down that right side

for the Sounders. As lafc come again, pressed by the Sounders, Ball goes into sea fuentas fresh off the bench challenge Ver Vargas is going to run out of play for a Sounders throwing and Leo Chu picks the ball up fifty

yards for the tap. The field almost got away with its, almost got away with it as the sound is now build with Stephan Fried locks it long to Leo Chu gets nudged off the ball by Holling's head and we saw Cody Baker clapping away as he walked off the field and around the field, and certainly Sounders fans again splattered green around the stadium, some Bruce Lee shirts as

well sixty five fans that we know of in section two seventeen. Again the Sounders support is so well home and away as trying to find this equalizing goal. As we get into the seventy fourth minute here at Bemos Stadium LFC one, sound as nil. It's ball side and left Pelacios challenged by kell and Rowe freshly back into this squad after being out for four plus weeks. We

thought he was a more serious injury to his knee. It wasn't, which was good for the team, good for Kellen, such a great servant for this club over the last couple of seasons. Ball goes down the line, looked like it was offside, but Holling said, comes away with it. A poker top of the box, comes in his left foot, ball goes square to Bogus, just a flickered around the corner. Ball bounces, but vargas it's a nice little touch away from pressure that clears his lines. The

Sounders have to be careful here. With fifteen minutes, you can tell LAFC trying to take out the sting of this game, slowing down the play, walking to every ball. They know that they're tired, they know that they're under the gun, and the light for light switch on the right hand side says we need to make a push on that right plan. Well, Poku

took a little dive, good acting, good place to do it. In la free kick for LAFC twenty five yards from the end line their right channel, just nearside the right as a Sounders look to defend three yards their line of their line of defense three yards inside the boxes. Again, Kielini comes up, Hollingshead trudges forward. Been dangerous on these set pieces as Bogush again, goal scorer for LAFC. In arnold corner kicks and free kicks flee or

two stands ten yards away. Sounders lined up fifteen yards from their goal. Ball comes in the delivery acts a goal. We see point. It was a good delivery by bags from the right hand side throughout nine yards out see pointed guy the ball into separate price cattle left quarter. But his first goal of the season, I did. It's LAFC two sound as nilp of the

difference tonight has been service, quality of service. When the Sounders were under the gun on corner kicks in the first half, a couple of chances from hauling stead and it's the run from Kioldi here that changes everything for the sound For the Sounders. Defensively, he comes across the face and he disorganized the whole group and that's just a free header in the back of the net. But good service. You must turn around to defenses as you sling that ball

in. They may have come off a stando. L'll see ye think's head. Uncle's having a little walk over towards the sideline. I think it's gonna take a little listen to Vaa. He's gonna just hold up this kickoff as we think. As bred mentioned came up the um, I didn't see it. Was it a head to an arm or was it arm leading on? So we're gonna see what Ted Uncle does here. As the crowd continues to celebrate, Sounds have a couple of players we're gonna bring off the bench.

And the positive for the sounders is when a referee takes this much time to get some information from VR. There are times when he'll walk over to that monitor and maybe take another look. As the ball comes in and yapped straight off the hand. It was see Frenchies had the chance to head it. It was a free header. Ducked his head down. It almost punched in the gold. So I go the sound is. Do you think Brad get away with one here? Yeah? Yeah, get away with one here because

it's good service. It's a group. Like you said, all he had to do is head the ball. But somehow his right hand comes in front of his face and certainly a handball in the back of the net. The sounder is lucky to escape this one. As they pushed forward. Yep, there's the signal for Ted Uncle to wander over to the monitor. More often than not there'll be a reverse of this call, and certainly watching the replay, probably well deserved. It came off. See fuences his hand or fuens

his first goal of the seasons. For the sounds. Hopefully it's gonna be chalked off. We see some activity on the bench as well, if they're getting ready to come on. Tense, you're ready to come on. I want if Brian's gonna make any adjustments to those changes. If this goal gets called back, well, if anything was indicative of it being a handball, it was a celebration afterwards. Yeah, just walking like when he's done something

wrong. It's kind of wanders off to the corner. Sof for the sounds seventy ninth minute, probably claw a couple of minutes back in injury time. But is there some thought into Saturday's game against Orlando now with some of the changes, or is it just go for We've got to find a way to get a result. Yeah, of course every player wants to play night minutes when they feel like they're feeling good. There's no injury to pick up. I'm not tired. But at the end of the day, you have to

look ahead to the next game too. It's about a whole entire season. Gruffrey calls a handball. Sound has escape that one VR does it's jump this time we thought it would be a called upon a couple of times in the first half a challenge by Keelina ruy Diez. We thought that would be looked tex it wasn't. This time the referee does go over to the monitor and for the sounders to get a reprieve and it's gonna be short, tough. LAFC is still leading here in the eightieth minute, won't go to nil,

but the second goal by c fuent Is it's called off. The sounds go again. But the difference is it. Yeah, Nico wants to play. But how many times and they get did he find himself in good pockets? Yes? How many killer passes did you have? How many times did he combine with Cody Baker on the right hand side? I mean not too many, maybe on one hand. So at some point you gotta make a change. With fifteen minutes left in a game and school you're thinking about Saturday in

a home game. That is now well on the left hand side, new towards the end line, whips it in well attacked by Ruridi by Kellen Row on the back side, put eight yards out. It came flying in how to judge it perfectly got his head to the ball, but it goes over for an LFC Gold Kick remains LFC one sound as now, but if this remains the same Saturday as a must win for the Sounders, we're talking to two wins and eleven games and then you get one at home, so you

gotta rest some guys. Give them fifteen minutes extra, a couple of subs for the Sounders. It's gonna be a bear's come off for the field. Come on the field. It's a Tensio's gonna come on for GP play alongside open Vargas. It's gonna be Leo Chow who's gonna make way for a bear, and we'll see what Brian does. In terms of formation, we conceive us next Alady's sliding across the left hand side, a bear probably sliding to

that number ten. Let tenco lightful like switch with JP the four fresh sets of legs to go at it in this last ten minutes of regular time and whatever injury time the referee gives as the Sounders knock it long with new clid by Kiolini to buke down the line to see Fuentes challenged by Yamar left side

of the box. Back to Pelasio's track well by Red Baker Whiting back to Sanchez on their fast side to left let left seed building up, just has to flick it around the corners to be as sounders throwing as we get here in the eighty second minute, and at some point the sounders are going to have to push nine minutes and we still four two three one. At some point we gotta change something. A Tensio is a big body. Put them

up top. Maybe Aber goes up top when we played more of a four four two, but at some point we gotta go all the right inside of Hollingshead flicks the ball in defended well by Yamar, flicked by a bear trying to be chested back to a bear by Rudiniez, but cut out well by Moldonado, and Kilini picks up the ball inside Sounds territory the fast side the left to Pelasios LFC coming again down the left hand side, flicks the far post, flected well by Stephen Fry because he just calms it down as he

rolls it out to Obed Vargas a little bit. It's like as they're playing another ninety minutes here fresh off U twenty World Cup down in South America, as Atensio plays it from the center to the far side the right to read Baker Whiting played well and that right back spot at times. Of course,

that wonderful goal in Open Cup against San Diego. As the ball is on the far side the right with the sound as given away by Atensio, it's c fluentis he's gonna come away with it pressed by Kellen Row the fast side the left, it's gonna be an LFC throwing sound. As we approach the eighty fourth minute here at Bemos Stadium in Los Angeles, LAFC up one goal to nil after a first minute goal by Bogush, Sounders have responded well. The still trying to find that equalizing goal. Is ten shots on goals so far in this game, over fifty percent of possession. As they switch it down the middle, Kellen Roll brings it down well as Chess try to find

Ruy Diaz. Ruidy has made that slashing running behind ball goes over the top, runs into McCarthy who lets it roll, eventually picks it up, tries to kill a couple of seconds as they try and see out this game. Well, you see the difference now the sound is playing more long, and that's why Callen's on the field. He's gonna provide the opportunity to stretch.

Read's coming up underneath him as well. Both more attack minded players in that sense of really willing to make the runs in behind and unfortunate Kelln takes a great touch off of his chest but just can't combine with Roll on that one. With Read coming up that right hand flag ball with Stephan Frisi knocks it long against Kellen. Road nudge off the ball by Pelacios, no foul given. As the ball balls down the sounds right hand site launched long by Kiolini

with his left foot. The game up, just to bring it down, but it's gonna bobble off his right foot and roll out for an LAFC throwing on the fast side. The LFC left twenty five yards from the corner flag as they walked slowly to the ball, trying to kill some seconds off the clock. Here he said lots of travel for this team, lots of games in this early part of the season. We CCL and MLS certainly a busy schedule in June as they catch up some of those games, they let go

buy of CCL. And it's a poku fast side the left, challenged by Red Baker. Whiting comes back to Buke, to Pelacios, inside to see Fuentes good turn away from pressure, comes inside to Sanchez, to Holling's head top of the box, comes to the right hand side to Bobush. The gold score comes in. His left foot, goes wide and high, a gold kick to the Sounders. She's gonna be quiet, Brad. It's a little bit of magic from this team to try and find something in his last

five plus minutes to get that equalizing goal. Yeah, we gotta push, gotta push at this point, and it might come from an unexpected hero, but LAFC is going to continue to put this this back for under pressure and make them try and play out of the back until they do here and they

win it. They win their first ball and move forward and now the Sounders a under the gun three three v two Bulling fist side the left with Buke tries to play the ball alongside six six yard books, gets it all wrong, goes over the end line for a goal kick for the Sounders and Freight jumping up and down try to get the team going. It looks like there's some heavy legs in rave Green as well. They try and seek out this equalizing goal as Obert Vargus in the half turn plays it to Rusneck playing on

the left hand side now from his number ten spot. Goes into potensio that finds Rudias on the left hand side will be one versus molding on and twists him in and out. Finds a bare top of the box. Isn't able to collects that. Keller Rowe to Rudia top of the box. He's got some time and space, plays the ball to read Baker Whites and clips the ball in and he just flashes across the six yard box. It was oh Bet who was there on the back post. It was a bare middle of

the goal that evaded both players. It's gonna be a thrown on this near side the LFC right and you talked about that moment of brilliance. If you can watch this one on TV, Roll picks up the ball and halfway closest to the bench with a little shimmy and shake and somehow finds him on top of the box and in row fashion just bouncing around and the ball always finds its way to his feet, finds read on the right and I think if that ball slipped on the ground, it might have a chance to be in

the back of the net. Just glances over Obed's head at the top of the six. Well, it looks at the last change for the Sounders. It a fifth change with Montera coming on the field. For Ruy Diaz, that was his last bit of action. Brian Foy thinking about Saturday's games. The ball goes long, skips through to Stephan Fry comes out of his box,

clears with his right foot high and long challenge. Well vis Kellen Rose done a really good job getting his body between ball and man a couple of times ready since coming off the field is it flicks off Kelln on the far side, rolls out for an LFC thrown to get into the eighty eighth minute Here at BMO Stadium, ninety three point three KGr FM, Sounders trailing one goal to nil as LAFC now make a couple of late changes. We'll see what changes they are. It's gonna be bog the gold score is going to

come off the field. It's been a really good performance by him. Has been busy on the set pieces. It's gonna be Nathan Ordaz and it's Eric Duennas who's going to come on the field. Two young players trying to see out this game for LAFC, trying to get two wins in a row. They were scoreless just a handful of weeks, three straight games, first time in a long time LAFC. They're still put in the attack again. Coming off CCL loss against the one in the final. It's been a struggle to

get results. Tonight they lead one goal to Nils. The ball goes to find up space in behind by see if Winters sound has come away with it with attensio to Montero on the field. Now I guess the ball trys a wriggle clear from pressure of him. You finds a tentio at tensio knocked around the corner. Lot one two with reed Baker, Whitey got some time in space driving forward inside the box, pulled back momentarily by Pelacios. Referees not

interested as Reid went down to the ground cleared by LAFC. Now they're in transition. It's a Polku's two v two of the back, tries forward inside the box, comes back on his reek of right foot top of the box. Senches plays the ball to see Fuentes challenged by New and see Puentes is a big player, a strong player. New just nudged him off the ball, did one people on defending again by New as the sound has come away in transition with Reid Baker whiting to Montera the fast side. The sound is

right fouled by pelacioskity as sounders freaking yeah sounders. At some point we knew we're gonna have to get forward, and they send bodies forward. Reid does a great job with the tensio, a combination player on the right hand side, a little bit of contact. It tries to make a meal out of it with what happens when you go forward you leave yourself exposed in the back. An LAFC with a five v threees some reason, play the ball at the top of the b arks. Sounders escape set piece, send Yamar forward

playing for knockdowns. Yep Yams go out the field, but the extra mas stoppage time will put smiles on Sounders fans faces seven minutes as the extra mile stoppage times. The ball launches forward and it's new Gaymark goes up as Hollings had comes away with the ball, plays it short, challenged by New Dude just to slash away. There's Lafc with a polk to see Puentes. There

was a miscommunication. View went inside. See Puentes went outside with the ball and it rolls into the hands of Stephron Frasie lays it out to New this near side the left. Kellen Rowe Sounders now seven minutes to find that equalizing goal. As the ball gets sprayed from center to rights, Oben Vargas picks the ball up with kell and Rowe pressed by Duennas the substitute as a riggles free of Buke Boo gets fouled. As Yema continues to stay up the field.

And as you mentioned, Bred, you're going to find a goal somewhere, and Ema is a good option up front. Yeah, at this point he's up there for a reason. So if we're gonna just keep passing the ball around the back, you gotta go along. And this time it does go along to Montera, just a back into keil and to Keilin he wins the ball Attenio. It's a little bit bubbles around, eventually cleared by Muldonado, goes up in the air high into the night sky cushion headed by Jackson

Reagan. Another headed by eventually gets cleared by Steffron from a little commiscommunication for a split second as Yema comes from an offside position as Keilin, he's encouraging his team to grind this one out. They found a way to win against Casey. They went down a goal from a penalty and it was Muldonado and in the ninety plus minute they've got the winning goal. They're trying to see out this game, get the second win in two but the sound is just

find that equalizing goal. And what championship teams do is they find different ways to win different games. But whether it's in the last minute of the game or that game winners in the first minute of the game. LAFC with the amount of miles that they've put on on their legs travel disappointment in Champions League to come here tonight. They haven't played tremendous but at the end of the day. They're not gonna ask how. It's just a matter of putting the

ball in the back of the net. And the Sounders have chances. They've had chances, no doubt, three or four good quality chances in front of goal tonight, and these there's still time left to push. It's Jackson Reagan kings the ball to Montera, Tullbox gets his pocket pinked bike to Wyness and it's gonna be LAFC. Now who going to come away? The Knew sliding in. There was all dads who try to knock the ball down the line. It was Knew who came across. And Sounders now defending a throne this

near side. The LAFC right hand side, with Hollingshead on the halfway line, plays the ball in short to Sanchez. There's nothing more than just hook it down the line, given away easily by attention, flicked well by Russneck to the Abad driving forward on the left channel, plays it back to Rosneck twenty five yards from Gold finds Vargas who drives forward, defended well by Duennas.

The Sounds come away with it. Look pull on the shirt, yes, yes, Sounders free kick their left hand side as a three two five two behind the McCarthy's gold bounce up and down flags waving put their team to find a result. But the Sounders have a chance with Montera with his right foot, it's gonna be an in swinging whipped in free kick thirty yards or so from the end line on the Sounds left channel. This near side the left as the sound is line up big boys up front, Jackson Riggan.

Can he get a head on this one using his six ft five frame. Bull whipped in good quality in the hands of McCarthy. It landed just inside the six yard bucks. It was good delivered by Montera. Then she collected by McCarthy, really good delivery from Freddie. Not not much more he could do. He's, you know, forty five fifty yards out and if everyone misses it. The goal is that it goes in the back of the net, and he put in a good spot. Sounders weren't able to get on

the end of it. There. Bull goes along, bounces once, finds itself into Stephan Frey's hands, rolls it out short to know who's pressured by two LAFC players again. We get into the fifth minute here. This seven minutes of time is Horness drives forward, defended well by Atensio, flicked off the LFC player. He's gonna go out for a goal kick for the Sounders as they try to go quickly with Vargas middle of the field pressed well by

LAFC, Sounders can't get out there half the field right now. Ball goes down the line, good turned by Montero, finds Vargas, who's been up and down the field in this last ten minutes. We'll still in play. Vargas does an incredible job of saving it for a moment, but eventually it rolls off the heel for the Sounders players. Could be the LFC throwing We

get here in the sixth minute of seven minutes. About it time, Brian pushing, pressing, urging his team for As the ball goes down the line, Jackson Reagan finds the ball well flicked by Knew who Kellen wrote no options to the right, so we have to go down the middle too. A bear to Rusneck tries to find a reverse pass to Montere but it's cleared by LAFC one by Atensio well, and it was a heavy heavy touch by Atensio.

Touches looks a little bit off since he's come on, there's gonna be an LFC throwing as Hollin's head wanders over slowly just to try and burn off some additional seconds here. As we get into the final minute of added time, the CEA Frienters finds the ball to buke overlapping run by Pelasios. It goes to Pelasios inside the box, cut to a poker from eight yards out and he blazes the ball over the top. What a chance to put another goal and seal this one up. Can the Sounders get one more opportunity?

One more chance? The ball goes to a bear and finds some time and space twenty five yards from gold goes to the right hand side read Baker, Whiting steadies himself, comes on his left foot, plays the ball in, finds Rosnack inside the box, but it's Sanchez eventually clears the ball see Fuentist finds buke but it's a Sounders. One more opportunity again it one more chances. It's Montera tries to go around, clips off ords and there's the referees

whistle. It was a hard for wind by LAFC put a goal in the first minute by Bogush gets the win at home for ALFC. Brad you'll finel for you. Yeah, the Sounders did enough tonight. It's an unfortunate loss for the guys. That'll be a deflating one for the flight home tonight if it wasn't for that first minute and a half. The Sounders come out of here with a point at least, and just in that second half things get a little bit out of sorts. You start to think you have to push

forward. Yeah, we have to, and I think we lost tactically in shape. We lost it a little bit in the last fifteen minutes which allowed LFC then to put us under pressure and then we're just defending for the last ten decent opportunity at the end. Gotta get back on the horse and in Saturday's the main focus now well back at home on Saturday evening seven Z to kick off against Orlando of the Eastern Conference. Kind of sounds find a much

needed win to get back on track. We'll be back after a short break with Jackson fed felt you'll break it all down. But from BMO BMO Stadium in La it finishes LAFC one sounds nil. Sounders FC Sucker is brought to you by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of Seattle Sounders FC. The Sounders FC postmatch show starts now. It's a final from VMO Stadium here in Los Angeles, California. The hosts have taken this one LAFC one Seattle zero and is. We

sit on the perch here outside of section one twenty nine. We are watching many LAFC fans walking up this staircase with smiles on their faces, and frankly, that makes me sick. But it was a well, well put performance from the Sounders, a good performance that they deserve a point, but ultimately they do not get it. Jackson felt to Michelle Lutta, here for the post match show. We're here for the next twenty thirty minutes or so to

break this thing down. React to the one nothing loss for the Sounders at la f seem quickly Sounder fans. The next fifty years starts now twenty four will be the fiftieth anniversary of your Seattle Sounders and two dozen in twenty four season member deposits are now on sale for a limited time. Deposits are fifty dollars per seed. Two earlier you place your deposits earlier, you get to select your super join the legacy of the Propeast community and family and the Sounders

MC dot com slash membership membership to place your deposit today. All right, Michelle, let's start digging into this. And we were just talking off the air, and I think Sounders played really really well for the last eighty nine plus stoppage minutes of this match, and it's frustrating that they don't get a point because of a first minute the first time LAFC touched the ball, they come down on a colendar. It's not defended well, it's well struck,

and they get a goal in the first minute. But it's frustrating the Sounders don't get a point because of a first minute goal. I couldn't agree more Jackson, and the Sounders deserve it. They deserve to be going home with at least a point here tonight. You said it, you know, a

well struck ball. We were talking, like you said, off the air before we came on, and that shot, that goal, it was perfect one inch one direction, it would have hit the post one inch the other direction step would have saved it. And then to be followed up by such a solid performance, especially in the first forty five minutes of play, and the Sounders traditionally kind of ease into matches, they kind of kick it up in a notch in the second half, but that was not the case here

today. They were ready for this match. They've had six days of training going into this, they hadn't played a match in eleven days. They were camped and ready to play. They came to play, they played beautifully. It's just really unfortunate that this is the outcome that we're going home. That first half, the response from the team after las He scored was fantastic,

and the Sounders were a better team in the first step. I think we'd all about highlight for the Emeralds being casino play of the match, but twenty second, twenty third minutes, and even the accus said the entire first twenty five minutes you're seeing attack after attack and just waves of pressure from the sounders on the south end here and towards goal, whether it's Leo off to the left, and then a twenty second minute you have Leo crossing into roll shot

saved by John McCarthy. And then the twenty third minute changed the point of attack comes down the right, oh bed cross role header saved again by McCarthy. He had a few minutes where he was standing on his head. I mean that build up right there, we don't have the highlight of the platt that's the the ourd play of the match presented. It was always by Emerald Quing Casino, the betting capital of the Northwest, and Michelle really did feel

like the one one was there for them. There were so many chances, those two especially, but late in this game, the wild series in the eighty seventh minute, where I mean there's a loose ball in the box and we don't know who's gonna come out with it. Ultimately a cross is just

too far for for anybody to get ahead on. But the one one felt like it was there for them, and you're just you're missing these these things by an inch, whether it's a head or one direction, whether it's a shot one direction, whether it's a cross that's just a foot too far. It was so close for the Sounders, and that just adds to the pak

I think there's there are some positives we can gleam from this. I think there's some positives we can take away, and I think the negatives obviously, it's it's really unfortunate the Sounders didn't pick up any points and LAFC picked up a full three and extended their lead into first place in the Western Conference standings. Right now, it's currently a Sounders are still in third place with nineteen

points, but they were minor things. When I talked to head coach Brian Schmitzer at halftime about things that his team needed to clean up and change, really minor. He wanted more players in the box, He wanted the team to be better off the set pieces. Defensively, he really wanted his team to watch on the counterattack. And I think for the most part we can say they did that, and they did that well in the final forty five

minutes plus stoppage time of play. Now, as for the positives that I think we can take away, we already mentioned how well they came into this match, despite the early goal that they gave up and the pressure and attention and accuracy that they'd played. Brian Schmitzer was telling us that they really spent a lot of time this last week going back to the basics, going back over the task actics, because this team really did change so much in the

offseason. But I think one of the biggest positives we need to take away from here today they didn't have Jordan Morris, they didn't have Christian rolled On, they didn't have Alex rolled On, and they had some different players playing

in positions we hadn't normally seen them. Both in Cody Baker over on the right hand side, Nichol Ladaro back on the right hand side, something we haven't really seen him do since the twenty sixteen season, and there was some movement, but his team was up to the task, and I think it was It was a lucky goal. It was a perfect lucky goal in the first minute of play. But other than that, I really feel like this one should have been a zero zero draw and we were going home at a

point. Yeah, I completely feel the exact same way. Either it's one one or zero zero. The Saunders deserved a point in this game, and it's frustrating at the end of the day, we're flying home and it is a one nothing loss here to now first place LAFC. We'll take a break, we'll come back continue talking about this match, and then later on we'll start looking ahead to Saturday's match. Welcome back to BMO Stadium, Los Angeles, California, where you're Seattle. Sounder is a fall in tonight to LAFC

by the score of one nothing. It was a first minute goal by Bush and it was well struck to put past Stephen Fry. You know, it's it's a it's a save that maybe a few years ago he makes, but now pretty much every average goal keeper is gonna miss that one. That's a tough ball to say, really well struck and this LAFC get that in the first minute. Saunters may deserve to point out of this, but they don't

find it. It has one nothing. The final score Jackson thoughts of Michelle Luck can hear on the postmatch show and Michelle, I mean for a moment, I hate to give any credits, I just say anything good about about LAFC, one of our rivals. But being here in this stadium and the atmosphere that uh, that these fans create, it was it was pretty cool to watch. I know there are many moments where these supporters you that have to have done very bad things and chanted bad things, but the atmosphere created

tonight was very special. Michelle and uh. And at the end of the day, I think we felt it here in this building. And this is a building that's extremely tough for the Sounders to win. We remember the West Final back in twenty nineteen, but it's it's been hard to find points in this building other than that. Absolutely, that's the only time the Sounders have ever won down here in this facility since um LAFC has has has entered the

league. What is it about this boys, I don't know. And I was thinking about that, but as we were preparing for tonight's match of Hey, you know that was a postseason match. Sounders have never won here in the regular season, and you mentioned the fan base and yeah, see, the atmosphere is great. We also I think really they need to give it up to the ownership and the event management of this place because the pageantry and the way that they set the tone from the beginning, it's beautiful and it's

it's done incredibly well. Again, not wanting to give them credit, but also not surprising. We are in the entertainment capital of the world that it would be the spectacular. Um, but I don't. It's intimidating. I mean even to the fact, and maybe intimidating is not the right word. No. I mean you look it over there to the three two five two. You look at the actual like stands and how they're building. It almost looks like the wall there. I mean it is. You've got fans literally

pitch side all of the suites. There is no space wall bar. They're literally on the sideline. It's something I would like to see. I'm really, I'm I'm. I think it's unfortunate the Sounders are done playing LAFC for the regular season in this year, because I hope we get another chance.

I would love another chance to come down here, because I don't want this to become one of those rivalries where it builds like this and then it becomes a more daunting task to come down here because I don't think it needs to be. Yes, LAFC is a good team. We can't take anything away from them. They just became the fastest team in league history to hit three hundred points. That is impressive. But they're not unbeatable, and the Sounders

have beaten them in some really big moments. I think the interesting part is when we talk about losing con Cap Champions League like they did, it looked like they could have suffered a hangover back to back loss as to Houston, but now the picture completely changes. Back to back wins over a Surgeon, Kansas City team and a Seattle team that still third place in the Western Conference.

So LAFC, if we thought there was going to be a hangover post Cap Champions League, we ain't seen it right now, and that is a scary thought. For the rest of the two and twenty three regular season, We'll see what happens. In terms of what's next for the Sounders, we will get to that coming up next. We've all been hit with the eye word over the last year and a half inflation. How are we looking right now? And you're roofing and remodeling industry when it comes to rising prices, Well, Dick, as you know, last year was a really bad year when it came to construction

in terms of pricing. We were getting constant price increases, especially for lumber, for roofing, for windows, all different types of materials for construction. Some of these things went up two or three times. The good news is is that a lot of those prices have leveled off. In fact, some of them even come down. So now is a good time to do roofing

or remodeling because of that, especially before prices start going up again. Well thanks, Ron, you did a fabulous job with my bathroom or model, and I know you can help our listeners with any of their roofing or remodeling needs. Welcome back to BMO Stadium here in Los Angels,

California. You're Seattle Sounders, falling Tonight's to the host's LAFC by a score of one nothing wild atmosphere, wild game, but it's a first minute goal from LAFC that gets them the winner. But now it's time to take a look ahead at what's next for your Sounders. Got to turn the page as the team will fly home here tonight and get back to Seattle early in the

morning. Saunders will be a hosting Orlando City seeing this Saturday, so quick turnaround here on June twenty fourth, seven thirty kickoff Providence, Swedish prematch will be at seven o'clock and you can listen to that match right here Sports Radio ninety three point three kjr F and you also watch the match for free on the Apple tv app and also listen in Spanish like Wig on l A thirteen

Can here tickets the most of this match back at luman Field by visiting Sounders FC dot com slash tickets and Saturday's match is presented by Starbucks, the official pride partner of Sounders FC. Starbucks and Sounders FC partnering together to celebrate pride and Michelle's We were just talking off the air, you know. One of the things looking at the decisions from Brian Schmitzer and the subs Nickel comes off, JP comes off, RUI, DZ comes off, Chu comes

off. All these powerful offensive players did not get a full ninety minutes, which tells me that we're going into Saturday's match against Orlando with a full squad and a chance to get back on track and pick up three points back at home. Absolutely, we hope for a quick recovery. We hope that tonight's match leaves a nasty taste in the Sounders match or mouths, I should say, and that they're ready to get back out and kind of right the ship

comes Saturday. I also like that Orlando who's coming to Seattle to take on the Sounders they played tonight. Also, they had a midweek match. They've played Philadelphia and they ended in a two two draw there. That's a good result, by the way, that's a really good result, very good result. But I like that they're in Orlando right now and going to have to

travel after a Wednesday match across the country. That bodes well for us, just for the toll that that takes on one's body and how difficult that turnaround is. But when we look at the two teams kind of head to head, Orlando they're seventh currently in the Eastern Conference standings, but they're only one point behind the Sounders. Sounders have twenty eight points on the season, Orlando

has twenty seven, So it should be a good match. The Sounders, I think are they started so strong at home this year, had kind of a little rocky mix in there, and now that we're officially full on in the second half of the season, I think now is the time to hit the gas and really do what they set out to do this season, and that was return luman Field to the fortress at once was absolute. Brian doesn't like calling it a fortress, but let's face it, we all want to

call it a fortress. That was the late grade. I think Schmid that was what he always loved to say, and it's just I don't think I'll ever be able not to say it. And yeah, it is time to get that place back to being a fortress and back to getting three points there, and hopefully that does start with Orlando. That'll be a fun, tough match, but a Sounder is still missing, of course, Jordan Morris, Christian rold On, Alex Roldon all to the Gold Cup. We wish Jordan

and Christian and Alex all good luck in that. Congrats to Alex by the way, a killer golf for a Salvador, game winner at the end. Amazing goal for Alex Roldon for El Salvador. He captains that squad, So good luck to all those three guys. Sounders will be missing him, but should be. And by the way, Cody Baker came off too, so Cody Baker, you know he should be ready to rock and roll if Brian Spencer calls his number for Saturday. So we'll see what Schmetz and the crew

throw out there against Orlando City once again. Seven o'clock Providence, Swedish prematch show seven thirty kickoff right here in ninety three point three kjr FM on Saturday. Sounders hosting Orlando at a movie So we will see you back in Seattle. We're gonna hit the plane. Team's gonna hit the plane. We'll be back in Seattle soon and we'll get the heads right and get back on the training pitch. Sounders back at it tomorrow and here we rob Co Rock and

Roll. See you guys at Louman Field on Saturday. But once again here. It was a wonderful opportunity to be here in Los Angeles. Beautiful couple days here in LA.
