The Providence Swedish Premat Show starts now well with two wins in the last week first in MLS action last weekend against Minnesota, then in the US Open Cup
over San Diego. Your Seattle Sounders, who are by the way, tied for first place in the Western Conference. Entering the weekend, they've hit the road again to face a team they actually just beat last month, real Salt Lake. So welcome to the Sounders FC Premat Show, presented by Providence Swedish, the official healthcare partner of Seattle Sounders FC. My name is Jackson Felts, and I'm alongside Seattle University's Pete viewing. Pete, good to be with
you tonight on this beautiful day in Seattle. We have Sounders and saw Lake. Unfortunately they're down in Salt Lake. They don't get to enjoy the seventy seven degree heat to Seattle today. No, it's a gorgeous day. I was on campus today and driving everyone is out. Last night I drove around Golden Gardens in our neighborhood and everyone was there. So it's someone paid the
bill to flip the switch and warm weather is upon us. So it's funny though, seventy four degrees this morning, and I'm thinking my body's got to get used to that again. So I don't think the Sounders are going to be too disappointed to not be playing in seventy nine degree weather at Looming Field tonight. The Wahsatch Mountains will keep that place a little bit cooler. And although I did just look up, I actually just googled Sandy Utah weather where
the Sanders Sounders are at tonight. Seventy seven degrees and sunny, all right, that's all right again. Those mountains, those mountains keep things cool. That's that's an awesome venue to play. Rio tinto Seattle's struggle there, of course, but it's a absolutely gorgeous facility, one of the best ones scenery wise in MLS. It absolutely is previews Sounders and a salt Lake coming up in just about a half hour. We are right now thirty five minutes away
from kick between the Sounders and Rayal Salt Lake in Sandy, Utah. Tonight's Count Nanna kickoff is presented by Emerald Queen Casino, the entertainment capital of the Northwest. So there's a lot to talk about, and we'll get deep into Seattle's lineup the Delta starting eleven in just a few moments. Before we do, Pete, we got to look back at the last week, because what a week it's been. Two wins I mentioned. First, you get kind of that, you know, I think you used the words the workman academic
like performance over Minnesota, the one nothing win. Then you get kind of the opposite of that in terms of the wind category, a five four, one hundred and twenty five minute excitement match, excitement filled match against San Diego and the Open Cup out at Starfire where Freddy Montero hits a penalty kick in the one hundred and twenty fourth minute to give the Sounders a five four win. So two very different performances, but two wins done the less in the
last seven days. Yeah, it was a great week for the Sounders coming off that Portland disaster, debaccle, whatever you want to call it. Yeah, so coming off of that Seattle, you know, bounce back ability was a term we used about four or five years ago. Bounce back ability. I don't know if it's in Webster's dictionary or not, but they did it and against Minnesota. To quote the sources because I wrote down those comments as well, workman like. That was Sean Henderson, director of scouting Academic.
That was Craig Wible. That one nothing win was terrific. Russnext goal timely he needed to get on the scoring sheet. The guys did a great job. And then you're right that that five four win and it was. We talked to coach Schmenzer yesterday at training and he was I said, of course, a lot of games, right, and sometimes you get tired, you just would like to kill a team and just you know, have it over it the sixtieth the minute, No, you're up four nothing, And so
I asked him, I said, you enjoy that? He goes, yeah, I liked it. I loved it. You know. They got off to a quick start with a couple of goals and but then it became a battle and he was smiling and I believed him when he said it, So, you know, it was great that young lineup with two guys, one
at the top and one anchoring the center back Ariaga center back Montero. They happened to walk by when we were chatting with coach Schmittzer and he was so proud of them and Freddie Montero what he's done in the US Open Cup, and he was quoted. Jade Evans did a really nice article on that, what he did in those early days. Montero, I think he has ten goals now, that's tied for the most in the US Open Cup since the
Sounders got Timels. Yeah, well they won those three in a row, right, and it really set a bar and now they're going back to it and they want to go win this thing again. They kind of, you know, they and there's nothing wrong with it, but they they've realigned their focus. But it's a gutsy move to put nine guys on the field that haven't had that much time and they had to adjust. And Freddie had some good comments about, you know, them stepping up. But the fact that
Freddie Montero took it so seriously and Ariaga Ariaga could be pouting. He could be saying, you know, I should be playing, and you know, whatever you want to say. He did a great job and I took that was a great win and catapults them toward this one today. Well, and you know, in terms of players who played in that who are playing again today, we'll get to that in just a moment. But in terms of the bench for the Sounders, but really quick, Pete, let's get to
that delta. Delta starting eleven for your Seattle Sounders. Well, we're minus a couple of guys, but I really like this lineup. Frys in goal, Alex roll donas you're right back. Gomez and Roddy and Reagan are your center backs. Gallen row is back in again, and he had I thought he had one of his finest games against Minnesota in the middle of the park. Roos next slides back into the middle. Jal Paulo, we'll sit next to him. Morris on the right. That's a start for him. He
didn't start the last one because of an international fall up. And then Chew on the left. Ladero your captain will sit under a bear. So I like the lineup a lot, and it should be full energy. That's really really strong. We'll talk about that more in just a moment. Your Sounders subs include Stephen Cleveland played, started and got the Sounders to that in over
San Diego in the Open Cup. Ariaga on the bench. He obviously played and started in that Open Cup. Reed Baker Widing started and scored an amazing you know about what twenty five yards screamer in added to an extra time that got the Sounders they're they're one of their leads there and added in excuse me, in extra time. So Red Baker Widing and performance there, josh A Tensio, he came off the bench in the Open Cup. Obed Vargas he
started and played an amazing game in the Open Cup. So Taquitaha, he started, played a great game in the Open Cup. Ethan Doublair started and scored in the Open Cup. Dylan Teva started in the Open Cup. You're sensing a trend here, and Freddie Montero started and scored twice in the Open Cup. The entire bench factored into that Open Cup win, and they all have the opportunity right now to make a difference coming off the bench here in
this match. I mean all of those guys have to be feeling pretty good. But again, going back to that starting starting lineup, and we'll get to RSL starting lineup in our sharp vision of an outlook in just a matter of moments. But go Pete, going back to it. That's starting one. If that Brian Spencer is putting out there today, that is extremely strong. Yeah, and they are ready to go. They know the history of
this game at RSL. We talked to Jordan Morris yesterday and and just said, hey, what's the what's the mood, what's the you know, what's the thought process going to this one? They all know that this game it's been I looked it up. It's been twelve years in one day since Seattle beat RSL. It was May twenty eighth, two thousand, left two, one win. Lamar I was at the game and Lamar Nagel had an awesome goal right cutting across the left side of the box. One win, eleven
losses and thirteen times excuse me, three ties. One win, eleven losses, three ties in regular season. They're one and one in playoff games at Rio Tinto. But you know you mentioned the word fortress last week. The reason Brian didn't like that name is because they call this the Fortress and and there was a time that win I think ended like a thirty nine maybe twenty nine game unbeaten streak at home. That's the Kyle Beckerman era, the Nick
Romando era. You know, they had such a phenomenal team back then and workman like they want it in two thousand and nine. But this team tonight is motivated to keep the trend going and finish out the week right. Three games in a week between the you know, the Minnesota, the San Diego Open Cup game and this one. It's a great opportunity. And I love that Morris is on the right and Choose on the left. Guys are getting their chances, which I think is terrific, and that includes the bench they're
bringing players along. We're in the tenth week of this campaign, tenth week of MLS, which is really remarkable, and the Sounders are tied for first entering the tenth week. That's that's an impressive feeding him the self considering all the injuries to this team, and really quickly on that, I'll let you respond to that because I think it's an important point. But on that note, because you mentioned the couple guys out as well. Let's quickly dive into
that profit in Swedish team health report questionable today. Knew who with an illness. He's not going to be appearing, Christian rolled on he's still in concussion. Pro to call, he's not appearing out today. Jacob Castro with a hamstring strain. And then also the big one and kind of de leading to this next point, Rawle Ruidiaz as we know, he's out with a hamstring
strain. Strill. That's last week when he got it. The timeline was four to five weeks, so we're now under the impression that's three to four weeks. And Pete he's been heard a couple of times this year so far. They've now gotten to this point tied for the top of the West. You know, they're their second only because of gold differential with Saint Louis, but you know, for all intents and purposes, they're tied for first in
the Western Conference right now. They've done this with a bunch of injuries, including Rale. Culture. That's what it is. It's culture, and it's and it's last season, not just really not getting into the playoffs for the first time in franchise history. Leadership you know, Nico Lnaro seems young for some reason, he seemed older last year. They've limited his running on the field. They want him to stay more central and not cover the six sixteen
miles that he covers in a game. So um, and it's a veteran team and boy, you know, you look around the mL I was thinking about it today looking at the Seattle Sounders and what they do and how they do it and how successful they have been year in and year out, and starts with Adrian right, and it permeates through the coaching staff with Brian, Tommy uh Freddie, I mean, Andy Rose, all of them right There's it's a great group, but they expect to win. And when you look
for leadership, you say, okay, you got Fry now. Alex Willdn's a leader on this team, Ken Kellen Rose a leader on this team. Gomez Andratti, Reagan is becoming a very very good soccer player right before our eyes. Justin Glad on the other side is a couple of years ahead of him, but he's starting to be someone like that. And then you know John Paulo is terrific, and then Morris. It's really exciting to just see
and Chow is gaining confidence. Everybody's in their different places. But there's few guys on this field today, Nico, right, and then A Bear is so excited to be here. Guys come to this club. He won an MLS Cup in New York, right, a couple of years ago, beating Portland and h that was nice and uh and and but he's really happy to be here. So they just expect to win. Yeah, And there's a you know, it's a thing you get used to, and so they want
to go down and take care of business. And you mentioned a Bear there, the connection that he has on the field and especially off the field with the two guys also in the starting lineup, Resilian Resilians, right, they Choo and Joel Paulo, the three of them. I know they they've attended one of their weddings. I know I might have been choose. I mean, like, the three of them are extremely tight, and that friendship and that the culture that they've kind of been able to kind of rub off on
each other. This is how we do it here. I mean, that's showing itself on the field, off the field, and I expect good things today out of the Sounders lineup. It's an extremely strong one for the match at RSL. If you're listening to us in Seattle, you're looking outside of the beautiful seventy seven degree sunny day. That's exactly the same weather that they are experiencing there in Sandy Utah tonight, so same exact environment. It's a
sunny, beautiful day for Sounders and RSL taking place in Sandy Utah. We are just about twenty six minutes away from kick between the Sounders in real Salt Lake. Tonight's countdown and kickoff is presented by Emerald Que Casino, the entertainment capital of the Northwest. We'll take a break, we'll come back and take a look at the hosts today and we'll also hear from head coach Brian Spencer. Looking ahead of the match. We'll get to our Sounders players to watch
and keys to the match. It's all coming up a lot to get to ahead of Sounders in Salt Lake. Coming next on Sports Radio nine fifty KJR AM. Hi, it's Mike Conran from my friends at Toyota of Kirkland. You're listening to the Home of Sounders FC, Seattle's sports radio nine fifty KJR. Come back to the Providence, Swedish premat show Jackson folks alongside Pete feuding Countny and down to kickoff before Danny Jackson and Steve Zakawani have the call for Sounders and real AsSalt Lake from Sandy, Utah, where it is just
as beautiful as it is here in Seattle. Today's seventy seven degrees and Sonny right now, as we are now just about twenty minutes away from kickoff, we talked all about Seattle's very strong line up that previous segments. Now it's for our sharp vision opponent outlook, and we'll take a first a look at this lineup from salt Lake. That man and goal will be McMath your back
four of Oviato, Glad, Silva and Vera. You're holding midfielders as this looks to be a four four two, so the holding of the two four in the holding two of the four in the middle. Caldwell and Ruiz Gome Savno are the wingers, and then Rubio and Mazowski, a Peta player that you know and you've had history with, They are gonna be the forwards. But this is salt Lake team that the Sounders obviously beat to nothing. You
know, we go back to and look at that this season. They opened the year with a two one win over Vancouver and then they lost four straight games, and one of those four was, of course the two nothing lost the Sounders here in Seattle, where the Seattle dominated throughout. But over the last three they've kind of turned it around from that. For they have two wins over Charlotte San Jose a loss at Dallas. But you know, over the last three, Pete, this is an RSL team that that's done much
better than previous. Yeah. And and those two wins were three one at home with Charlotte, as you say, in San Jose and then two one loss. So they've gotten eight goals and only conceded three in the last three. And so, yeah, they are on an uptick right now, and they certainly know. And Pablo Mostroani there, their coach. I like him. He's he was a blue callar, hard working, talented center midfielder. He's gonna get his team amped up today. He's not a he's not a
Greg Vanny who's gonna be methodical and quiet. Pablo Mostroani's gonna go around and he's gonna get guys fired up and massofsky in the lineup. I like Danny a Lotte. He was at UNLV when Alex roll Don scored a great goal, Massovski scored a great goal. We end up winning three two in that one. But Danny is a very good goal scorer and has done some damage against Seattle. And you know, he kind of got edged out at LA and when he ended up here, I thought that's great for his career.
So he's a good finisher. He has confident against Seattle. And then I'll tell you what you know. You mentioned a veto that the outside back he's got two assists. Glad has two goals. Right, Glad's a center back. He's a big, tall guy. He's got two goals. So on restarts he's been very dangerous. He scored against Seattle before Saverino three goals, three assists, Gomez one goal, three assists. It's a pretty good team that's coming out on this field today. Again, though they're coming in this
is a game like Portland at Seattle at Portland two weeks ago. We can turn the team around, we can turn the season around. Right now. Now they're on a bit of a run, right they're two and all at home, so they got some momentum but every time you play Seattle. You mentioned there in the first place. They've been in first, second, third all season long. This is a game that everybody circles. Yeah, and you hear that and that sounds cliche, It's the truth. Everybody gets fired
up. And they also know the history the one win, eleven losses, three ties, so they want to keep that going. And listen. I mean they won in the Open Cup midweek, just like Seattle, So I mean, yeah, you look at overall competitions right now, three wins in the last four. They are certainly playing better. They don't have a draw on their record this entire year. Interesting to note that to Demere Crylock, who did I believe he played in the Open Cup match. He's starting on
the bench for RSL today. And we all know the name Demere Crylock. I mean, forty four goals, twenty four assists, one hundred and twenty five career games with RSL. He's kind of, you know, the RSL legend in a lot of ways, so so he is. You know, they have firepower on the bench that they can certainly bring on. It's just a question of, you know, where is this game at When Crylock hits the field in the you know, anywhere between forty five to seventieth minute.
Um, you know where where in what position do they need demere crylock or will they at all? But you know, to go back to your comment really quick. You know about papomester Any and the job that he's done since taking over. I mean we talked to Brian before the first matchup a month and a half ago, and and Brian said that he's grown as a coach over these last couple of years. He's more than just a raw, raw approach, you know, and we see him growing through this team. And
you know, three wins in the last four across all competition. It speaks for itself. This is this is a head coach who's who's sort of figure things out with rslack to back to back playoff appearances, a win over Seattle as we remember, Um, yeah, this this is a team that and we'll get into the record here here here against Seattle in that building in a few minutes. But like, this is a game that yes, Seattle won two nothing in THEA were comfortably you know, in control throughout the ninety minutes
up here a month and a half ago. But it's a whole different ballgame, right now. Yeah, it is. And that game with Seattle RSL, Brian was kind of surprised that Publo was as wide open as he was. Yeah, and that's part of his growth trying that. So you've now he's got a sample size to look at what happened in the first one.
But he reminds me of a kind of a young Robin Frazier, and that he's been around the league as a player, had a very good career and then was the head coach at Colorado, lost that job, and then back here with RSL. And so it's a big game for him too, and everybody. When you play against Brian, who's got more points in his entire time as the head coach the Seattle Sounders, has gotten more points than anyone
else. It's a big notch in his belt as well. Right, So when you're playing in Bruce Arena, when you're playing against Ryan Schmitzer, that gets the coaches up as well. It's a great night, it's a great night to play, and I think tonight's going to be a really very important game for both teams. But I don't think this is this is nowhere near um just a walk in the park. This is an RSL team that will be ready to go confident um and they'll have the crowd support behind him.
I will say that I think Pablo mester Any used to bring back that mustache that we're looking at. That mustache. I'm shocked. This doesn't help for anybody listening, but just google Pablo mestra Any and you'll see the mustache that he had with during his time with Colorado. That was as good of a mustache as you'll ever see it on a human being. Not anything Mercury would have been envious and that must Not that that has anything to do with the
play today, but just a compliment to a beautiful thing. I can say this, I don't think Brian Spencer could get it anywhere close to that mustache. And I think Brian first yeah mustache petitions. That might be the best part of our Sharp Vision Opponent allery. Tonight's Supponent outlook was presented by Sharp Vision, Modern Lasic and Lens, the official lasic provider of Sounders FC.
We'll take a break, we'll come back and we'll hear from head coach Brian Spencer and give you our Sounders FC players to watch before we get to Keys to the Match. as the Sounders are in Sandy, Utah to face Rayal salt Lake. Before we get to our Sounders FC players to watch, let's head down to Sandy Utah and here a little bit from head coach Brian Spencer, who joined Adrian Healy of Apple TV a few minutes ago. You're coming to a place tonight insult like that's historically given Seattle some problems over the as have you? Have you talked about that as a group, and how do you go about changing
the narrative tonight? Well, we hadn't discussed it up until I read about it a couple of weeks ago when this was on the fixture calendar, but we did dissess it today at the team meal, I said, look, it's been a long time. It's been twenty twelve. Martino Martinez, he Mario Martinez one nothing wonder strike and assist from Freddie Montero and then Lamar and Ego with a bomb I think to you know, cut off their forty eight fifty nine home winning street way back in twenty eleven. So it's been a
long time. It's got me tongue tied and we're gonna try and change that. How do you j J todight, brit Seriously, what do you have to do well tonight to get the better? Let's try and we're gonna try and be a little bit more attack minded. I mean, with Leo and Jordan in good form, a Bear who you know took an injury but was really good for us early on, we're gonna try and put them under some
pressure. That's that's one of the keys. So that's head coach Brian Schmitzer there before the match and Pete viewing as we hear that right there, put him under some pressure play more attack minded. Based on the starting lineup for the Sounders today, I mean, yeah, it seems so. I love what I hear from Brian Schmittzer there. I do too, but I've never seen him park the bus. That's not his style. You know, the Kansas City for one drubbing, you know, they opened it up pretty quick.
So you've got the guys on the flanks between Jordan and Chew, got a Bear upfront, so it doesn't surprise me that he's going to do that. But I hear the excitement in his voice. That's the thing I like to hear. Absolutely, So all right, let's move on here and get to our sounders that see players to watch. Who are you looking at today, Pete, Well, I'm gonna go with Albert Rusnick. He's playing against his old team. That's always an interesting, you know, conundrum that you
deal with. You got your buddies on the other side. They want to kill you for leaving, and the crowd's going to be against you a little bit. But he's also coming off a goal and then he's moved from the wide position and back into the center of the park, so you get some confidence. It was a good goal that he scored. It was an important goal, right. He took his chance and he put it away. So I'm looking for him to keep that momentum going and then capitalize on the energy
that's going to come from playing against your old squad. I love that. And he's sitting there next to joal Poulos. You expect he would get a lot of chances to get up the field and hopefully do what he did against Minnesota. That, by the way, on that goal. That was a great flick by Freddy Montero too to put it back to goal. Just a fantastic assist there and the throw in too. I mean, that was a great goal they got against Minnesota, So hopefully Russnack can keep that going.
My player to watching is gonna be a bear and sitting up top. It's not about kind of scoring goals for me, It's about specifically where he's going to be. You know. Let me put it this way, at the end of this match, you'll see a heat map of where the players sitting from the majority of the game. And I feel like when we saw him start against Minnesota, he sat he ended up being a little bit lower than
he drogged back in the midfield. He was trying to be part of the midfield and almost kind of like, you know, Freddy Montero likes to do rool, likes to do when he isn't getting the ball enough, you kind of use fall back into the midfield, try to get yourself involved. I think in this lineup, with so much talent in the midfield, you have a Chew, a Morris Ladero, rust Snack JP. We don't need a
bear drifting back into the midfield, stay high. I don't want to see your heat map closer to Ladery. I want to see your heat map way high up the field because that's where I think a bear can be the most dangerous. Today. Well, the two goals you look at that he got, he was within six yards of the goals. So yes, you're right, you gotta keep him higher up. That's just simply a guy gets frustrated, lady wants to get touches on the ball, and you're right, those
are good, two good examples Ruy Diaz and Montero. When they get frustrated, they come back, they get underneath. You know. The good news is he can come underneath and George Morris can get in. Yeah, up above him. But I agree with you keep him up higher. Absolutely, So we'll take one more break. We'll come back and give you the keys to this match. Sounders right. You're listening to the home of Sounders FC Seattle's sports radio nine fifty KJR, five minutes away from kickoff in Sandy, Utah, Sounders real Assault Lake. Before we get there, I'll tell you the unfortunate stats of the Sounders history in that stadium.
You know, the Sounders had a win and we talked about it earlier two one on May twenty eighth, twenty and eleven. Other than that, the Sounders are oh eleven and three in regular season action down in Utah. They are one, one and the in postseason play. It should be noted. But yeah, this has been a fortress for Salt Lake against Seattle in that building. So Pete viewing with that said, what are your keys to
this match? Well, I think restarts are going to be important, and normally I don't say that until we've we've covered about two or three topics, but I think the restarts glad scares me a little bit. On those. I think finding Danny met making sure Danny Missovsky does not find any space up front for Seattle, the wings are going to be very important. I think Chew has to continue. Bryan Schmitzer has done a good job at keeping his confidence up. He's got to do a great job of getting down the line,
getting his crosses in. A bear's got to be inside the box. And then Jordan Morris, I'm looking for him to be really lively, you know. I think he wanted to play more time in the last one and he wants to get back on track as well. And then I like the center of the park. I love it when jal Paulo hits the long diagonal ball. So if you can find Jordan over the top, or if you can find Chew, I think that's important. They need a clean sheet at
the beginning of the game to get their confidence up right. They need a clean sheet for the first half. So Seattle's going to play to their abilities, and they've got to make sure that they don't give RSL any opportunities to get involved the right side or left side. Our right side Savaino three goals, three assists. Make sure he doesn't get too involved. Make sure he doesn't get a lot of success. Pete have a great call with Danny Jackson

second place set Sounders take on ninth place Rail Salt Lake. After a convincing and comfortable two nil home versus RSL back in early March, the Sounders are looking for their third road victory of the season after wins versus Sporting k C and La Galaxy, but playing at altitude will be a much different challenge. History is not on the side of the Sounders when it comes to playing at
Soul Lake. With a record of one eleven and three and the loan away win coming back in two thousand and eleven, the Sounders will need to lead on all their experience tonight to earn a valuable three points. RSL, under the guidance of the pragmatic Pablo Mastroiny, have bounced back from four straight losses early in the season. A strong three one win at home last week versus
a revitalize San Jose is indicative of their newfound attacking menace. With the eversence of Sabarinos scoring each of their last three games, RSL may now have the confidence needed to achieve back to back wins for the first time since May twenty twenty two. For the Sounders, all seven goals conceded this season have been on their travels, so Brian Schemetz win his team will look to trans for
their defensive strength at lumen Field to their road form. My name is Danny Jackson, sitting alongside former SEATTLEU head coach Pete Viewing, pulling you off the bench. Tonight there's a last minute scratch with Steve Zaquani getting six. So Pete, welcome, thank you. Looking back on the game last week against Minnesota, what does the Sounders take from that wind to provide the platform to get a result tonight? I use the term bounced back ability a few minutes
ago. I think that's what it was. I think they it was such a thumping, it was such a difficult loss, you know, all of a sudden four goals in a very nineteen minute window, very short window. I think Seattle got their confidence back. They took care of business, and then they did it again in the US Open Cup. Referee Sagafie gets the
game underweight. It sounds shooting from left or right as we're looking at it decked out now and they're all Rave green their traditional green shirts, green shorts and green socks, and RSL shooting from right to left in their traditional outfits of Cobalt and Claret or Claren Cobalt. It's red shirts, blue shorts and red socks. But RSL there are coming off a great win against San Jose,
Jefferson Savorino scoring each of the last three games. I know Brad Evans has talked about how difficult it is to get a result here and the Sounders certainly haven't done it. But tonight, with the attack in Paris that they've got the experience in the field, we expect to see a much different result. At least we're hoping for that. But McMath knocks the ball long. Yeahmore clears the ball collected by savareen Or left hand side as it comes into
Rubin top of the box. Savoreno collects it back again. Ruiz back on the field started the last couple of games, was not in the starting lineup. Back in March against the Sounder savareen Or top of the box challenged by
roll down and sound has come away with the ball. Rosnack, the former RSL player who transferred to the Sounders prior to the twenty twenty two campaign in centralment field today alongside JP Pete. That move was made and the second half against Minnesota from Rosa going from right hand side to middle made a big change. It certainly did, and the goal that he scored he came up big. It was a Jackson talked about it in the pregame that Freddie marn Terrell
big strong laid off a great ball. He had a one little window to put it in and he put it away. And let's hope you know he's he's been a fifteen goal, fifteen assists guy at RSL. Let's hope that's the beginning of those kind of numbers. Well, let's get to that delta starting eleven for your cel sounders. As the game gets going, where in
the second minute RSL nil Seattle nil Stephen Frying goal. Same back forwards last week, Kellen Row on the left hand side in place of a still ill Knew who Jackson, Reagan Yamon rolled on Albert Rosnack as we mentioned alongside JP tonight, Jordan Morris on the right, Nicoladero and the number ten spot Leo Chu on the left hand side, and it bare his second start in two
games. Is a number nine as RSL on the right hand side maintaining possession sounds about five yards inside RSL defensive half of the field line of confrontation. Is it best steps up? It's Silva who maintains possession with Justin Glad two goals on the year. Scored the opening goal against Vancouver in the first game of the season as well defended by Jackson Reagan. Jackson Reagan did an interview with Braden Stephen that podcast, talked about how similar is to Chad Marshall.
I would kind of gets tight mixed the ball along with his long legs and a six ft five frame. Has definitely got that powerhouse body. Yeah, as you mentioned justin Glad and then Jackson Reagan in a close sentence, and they're similar types of players. I'd say Glad might be a little bit ahead because he's logged a couple of seasons with RSL, But I think Jackson Reagan is on his way to really becoming a ten to fifteen year starter on this
team. That's a bold statement, but I think he's got the professionalism and frame and smarts. He knows what he can do and can't do. You know, it's fun about this, Danny, as you go back to two thousand when they started playing each other, these are the same uniforms, right. This is the look that if you're a Sounder fan of many years, this is Casey Keller's favorite all green kit and it's interesting maybe they did that because of the history between the two clubs, but it's great to see them
wearing this kit, although it hasn't worked here, so let's hope. Let's hope that there's good luck with his all green uniform. Yep, JP gets rid of the bull, comes out to Jordan Morris on the near side the right, but it's Vera stepping up number four top of the box, tough
left corner roll Don challenging him as it gets towards the end line. Ricochet back to Beera comes inside the box in his week or right foot drags it why gold kick sounds remains nil nil fourth minute here in Sandy Utah Pete viewing, I'll tell you that for Alex right there just got caught a little bit and Vera had a really good opportunity. For watching the replay here, Alex has done well already in this game, but a fortunate bounce for Vera,
he has an opportunity from the left hand side, goes side netting. He's going to certainly want that one back. It would have been great for RSL to get on the board. In the fifth minute, Albert rose Neck top of the box, receives the ball from Stefan Fry. Steffran Frey decked out in all blue today complement his teammates in all green. But let's get to the RSL lineup. Zack mcmathen goal a back four of Avido, Glad Silva Vera, Pablo Ruiz and Scott Caldwell in the middle, Gomez on the right,
Savorreno on the left, and then Ruben Amsovski up top. As it's Jefferson Savareeno three goals in three games and three assists on the year, tries to switch the point of attack all the way across the Gomez, but goes out of bounds and Kellen Rowe trots over picks up the ball, and certainly Kellen Rowe Pete has come into this lineup. It came in against Sporting Case put a really strong performance in on the left hand side, and again last
week solid as a rock for me. I thought his Minnesota game was one of the best games he had had, both defensively and then keeping possession of the ball with some good penetrating passes. This one's an interesting one right now, we're watching Seattle. It's been in the Seattle half the majority of the game. Jackson talked about a bear staying up high. There was a time where Nicol was ahead of him, but Seattle's kind of feeling this one out
makes perfect sense that that's what they're doing. They haven't. They're bending without breaking, as is oftentimes said, but RSL certainly on the front foot nine fifty KGr am America first field in Sandy, Utah. Coming in towards a sixth minute RSL Nils Seattle Nils. The Sounders now have possession their defensive half of the field, with Rosnack no real pressure from Ruben stands about seven yards away. Ball goes out to the left hand side to Chew has been on
fire in this first part of the season. Five assists alongside La Daro, matching top of the Sounder's ranks and certainly up there with the mls as well. As it's rolled on down the right hand side, Jordan Morris Ryan side whips the ball in low and heart in front of the six yard box, cleared by obviating with his left foot, and Silver clears up the mess clears the ball switched to the point of attack all the way out to the right
hand side. Nice little cushion headed by Row around Gomez left foot into Ladero top left corner of the box. Leo Chu about eighteen yards in the end line, tries to play the ball into it, Bear goes all the way out to Zach McMath. But Pete five changes to this RSL lineup could be a little bit of a different proposition. After the Sounders game, they went four losses in a row, but they're getting it back after that three one
win last week here at San Jose. Well two wins at home have been great for him as sounds pick of the ball rolled on right hand sided towards the end line, cuts it back, cleared by Glad, loops it up top right corner. JP comes in, comes in hard and that's a yellow card, and if Mike Math is right, that might be his fifth yellow card of the season. A suspension for JP, who was a clearance from Justin Glad from across Males rolled on it flicked up in the air and JP
came in, studs up and a yellow card. I don't think he's happy with it. He came in hard, for sure, but it's a little early or the yellow. We're seeing that well now I see it, Yes, studs up is correct. It begs perfect sense. It's a yellow, no question. Alex Holdon has had a good couple of balls. Into Jordan Morris down that right hand side, and Jackson talked about a bear's got to get through that box, right. We've had two crosses that have gone through
the box. If he's higher up the field and he's getting through the box, Seattle would have two chances just now. So they've got to make sure they get that shape right. But the right hand side, you know, Seattle bit KG, bit CAG and then opportunity for Jordan Morris down the right. Very effective. So that's a great sign for Seattle picking and choosing when
they're gonna go too into RSL territory. Coming from left across the middle to the right hand side to Jordan Morris, picks of the bull, comes inside as well. Chu remains outside on the right hand side, picks it up right corner of the box, skips by ruise bowl inside the box. Go say bad, hey, it looks like a back pass. The sound is players arms up it bad, arms up. It was a Clarian spike glad outside of his right foot top with the six yard bucks trickled into McMath's hands.
Nothing given by the referee. He is rsl'll come away with it. But Pete, we've seen those given yeah, we have. You wonder if it's the fact that we're nine minutes in rest challenge by RSL. It's another yellow card, and I think we gonna start to see what the referee is gonna do in this game. It was an early yellow card for JP, an early yellow card for Savarino as Savorino got his pocket pinched by roll down
came in. It's a challenge. But yellow card Pete this early in the game seems well if you look, he gets him once and then he gets him a second time. So and he definitely got Alex Roldan across the side of the knees. So I think those are two just yellow cards. But it tells us what this game is going to be about. Both teams are willing to get stuck in both This game means a lot to both teams.
Referee Sychoffee keeping it tight so far first nine minutes of this game. It's gonna be a sound as free kick twenty five yards out from the end line, right corner of the box, about eight yards from that corner as I love seeing this, Danny, you got Ladero and Russneck on the ball.
That's a nightmare from McMath arm up Ladero left hand right hand's side for the sound it's gonna be a left foot from Ladero potentially in swinger n outswinging whipped in, crossed by the right foot of rodsneck line of confrontation on the PK spot for RSL as they line up defensively inside their eighteen rossneck A little simmy, it's gonna Ladero with his left foot flick by a band. It's just wide. It was well played by the sounders. A bear comes off his
mark, flickheader goes wide. RSL goal kick Pete viewing. I've been impressed with sounders on their restarts. This was certainly all by design. As I mentioned, if you're McMath and goal, you don't know if Niko's gonna take the shot. You don't know if he's gonna have the cross. You don't know the same with a bear and or excuse me, with russneck. But a bear comes pulls away, it's totally a perfect play and he just goes
about two yards wide. Silver with the ball inside their eighteen. McMath sounders high level of com station, top of the box as it forces McMath to hit it long and Alex rolled On picks it up inside RSL territory. Jordan Morris right hand side, getting towards the end line with his right foot, drives it in flakes and he goes out for a corner kick. It was Silver on the left corner of the six yard bucks. It was a fist in cross by Jordan Morris. Ricochets off Silver, goes out for a Sounders
corner kick. I'll tell you McMath was very lucky. He went down and the ball just skipped over his head. This one about maybe a yard wide to the left hand side of the post. Once again right hand side, third dangerous cross. We're now in the twelfth minute, first corner of the game for the Sounders on their left hand side. It's gonna be roosneck arm up. It's gonna be an in swing corner with his right foot, comes right on top of Mcmathe collects it inside his six yard bucks with confidence,
rolls it out to Rsler on the attack. Now into Sounders territory at left hand side, tries to find Savorino Is Ruis that carried the ball forward. Try to find Savorino and stephro and Fry clears a little chest cushion passed by Rosina well played and the sound has come away that Ladero gets his pocket pinched by Gomez. There was a sub in the first game for the Sounders collects the ball, the right hand side comes in step over by RSL, but
it's JP right spot, right time. As always, it was Misovski to you, trying to step over the ball for Rubin, but it was as sound as it came away. That cleared by Fry and it's gonna be Silver now collects that second ball as the Sounders now drop into a low block confrontation. RSL a little bit like Seattle at Portland, just giving away too many balls. Case in point. Here's the third one in the last minute.
Here goes rosinak right hand side. Jordan Morris top right corner of the box, defended by Silver, collects the ball with his pink shoes right corner as he comes back to Alex Roldan in support to Rose right hand side from his central spot back to roll down to JP. Sounders keeping good possession. Now Jordan Morris pink shoes blonde. Here the new Jordan Morris to ACL's fixed. Can't miss him on that field, and you know what, eight goals on
the ear as well. It's not just his hair color and his boot so's it's working. And as players are keep that going. Some of his kids are superstitious. And as the ball get switched to Jordan Morris step over, well played by Jordan Morris and it's Alex Roldan inside to his left foot, tries to play it into bed little wall pass top of the box, JP blocked by Justin Glad. It was well played by the Sounders. Switch of attack, good combination top of the box and it's Savarino clicks the ball,
switch to the point of attack. It's given away cheaply again, dangerous ball across the field and it's the Sounders now with Rosneck sent to the field with JP pressure from behind, but he carries the ball and Jordan Morris inside from his right spot, back to Rosneck to Ladaro now found himself whipped in with his left foot, tries to go to the thought posts, skips by everybody. Alviato, let's it go. It's going to be an RSL goal.
Kick remains nil nilhare in sound of Utah. I'll tell you what Savarino's on that left hand, his left hand side. Seattle's right hand side. The best way to keep him away from three goals and three assists continue to go down and keep him as a defender. Sound as FC Soccer is presented by Provident, Swedish official HealthCap partner of sound as FC. We haven't even hit the fifteenth minute. I like what Seattle's done. They were they were a
little cautious at the beginning. They got numbers behind the ball, but they're coming out of their shell now starting to attack in numbers. It's been a RSL has been having to weather a lot of good opportunities that the sounders put together. Bull goes along by McMath headed won by Jordan Morris, unchallenged, but RSL pick up the pieces and if there's a time for the Sound is
to grind out a result. Here in Sound of Utah this season, coming out the block's firing second coming into this match day four wins in the last five that only blemish being Portland. That capitulation last twenty minutes, but the four goals at the Sound is conceded in those eighteen twenty minutes, it's offset by the other three goals that conceded its Savorino inside the box left foot collected by Stephan Fry. It was a good ball over the top, caught out
Alex Roll. Dan Savarino has been there starman in recent weeks. DP coming back into the squad in twenty twenty two is able to do nothing more than putting it into Stephan Fry's hands. And the sound is building out the back into midfield. Good switch of the play into the center, balling behind and it's Jordan Morris opening up his legs. McMath reads the danger. But you can see Pete that combination at Jordan Morris north south running that power. He's
gonna get some space today. Yeah, and he is aggressive with his runs, whether he's cutting inside or on this one, Ladero just hit it a bit too firm, certainly, Morris making a terrific run. McMath did a good job to come off, sling quickly well. Good stop by the Sounders. So far remains nil nil here in the sixteenth minute RSL nil cl nil
nine fifty KGr am Sounders having the fifty two percent of possession. Most of it has been kind of in the middle part of the field p but it's been you know, at the times they've gone the good combinations top of the box, they've certainly tested the goalkeeper and tested that back line with good crosses in the outside. Yeah, we certainly just need to get someone through the box because the opportunities and the service has been there. Getting someone in front
of the defenders running in front of the goalkeeper. Opportunity exists right there, right there, that little pocket to the near post. Ball with Gomez right hand side scored last week Team of the Match day for MLS after his performance last week, highest most expensive signing for RSL in the offseason, wins the ball off JP JP. He's gotta be careful on a yellow card nicks it off Gomez his foot, but it's going to trickle out for a RSL throwing
on their right hand side ten yards from the corner flag. But Gomez was a sub back in early March against RSL against the Sounders for RSL at looming Field. That's gotten the starting lineup now as they built his minutes, as they built his time on the field, and so far he's showing that front officers and the coaching stuff what he can do after his signing in the off
season. But it's RSL with a throwing right hand side obviated looking for options sound as nice and tight, Kellen wrote, getting tight to Gomis, flicks the ball away, puts pressure, comes back to Aviator, his left foot whips it in. It's a header and it's just wide. It was a good ball by Aviator with his left foot playing on the right. Back cuts it to his preferred left foot, whips it in and he's a head of wide. Pete viewing well RSL. It was three on three inside the box.
It's a great in swinger coming in and calledwell coming through the box from the center of the park. As a center midfielder, that one was as close as any fry would have had no chance. It was maybe a foot wide. Very good header but RSL very good getting the numbers through the box. They had an airpost. They had edge of the at the six and then a little bit wide. So it's good for RSL. Good shape and we were fortunate on that, honestly well for the sound is good start coming
out of the gates. Seventeen minutes gone. Remains nil nil, but the sound is I've had some opportunities in the final third as they put a little bit of pressure on Glad. But May is an HPI month. Starting May first, support an HPI owned small businesses for a chance to win sound as prizes. Visit intentionalist dot com to find a business near you. You know, Danny. This game between RSL, this is an interesting thought here.
Portland's Seattle is by far the best rivalry in May League Soccer. Seattle RSL at RSL might be the second right because Seattle knows that RSL has their number right, they want to make sure that they can fix that. Start fixing that tonight. But this game here, it just you know, maybe it's
the four thousand, four hundred forty nine foot elevation that RSL has. You know, sometimes you play these kind of teams and in the locker room they talk about what it does, the elevation to your breathing, to dizzyness, all that kind of stuff. But they've certainly had the number of Seattle, and Seattle would do and themselves a big favorite. Getting on the board early, not leaving it to the end. Gomez picks the bull up on the right hand side, comes into Ruben, who drops it back now to Ruiz
was Away getting a green card. Last time the sound has played RSL back in early. Much on the field now and the starting lineup. As the bull gets switched from center to right, Gomez picking up space, Row challenging. Get a good challenge by Calamrow perfectly timed, goes down with the outside of his right foot. Fantastic wond be one to ending by Kellen Rowe as he plays the ball out to Ladero. Ladero is looking up before the ball
arrives, goes under his foot. No light, Ladero, No, he just took his eye off it. That is you don't see that very out. That's Casey Killer throwing the ball in the back of the net. Every twenty years, that'll happen. So yeah, Kellen Rowe, I don't know he Both he and Niko must have done something in the offseason because they are quicker, they're lighter, their movement is better. I mean, I think Kellen Row is playing some of his best soccer for Seattle in the last few
games. That steps in a Gay wins it, but RSLF flick it down the corner, but Gomez pressures Jackson Reagan again been so solid this year has been such a revelation for the Sounds in terms of his consistent play and certainly his ability alongside Yamar has been a backbone for this sound as team. As the ball goes to talk Jordan Morris, McMath reads it well. It was
ros Knack to Morris over the top. McMath read the danger, cooks the ball long Jackson, Reagan collects it, holds off Missovski and finds Ladero to Chew left hand side, who goes again, goes inside and it's Ladera plays it into Chew inside on his left position, cuts it around Rui's head up little one two with Jordan Morris, but Jordan holds the balls, flicks it to the right hand side to Alex Roldan to Chew has gone from left to
right now and Silva straight through his legs. It's Chew inside the box back to a bear strikes in a saved by McMath well played by Leo Chew in say a bear a good strike, good save by McMath as RSL clear it. Gamo puts it out for an RSL thrown but Pete that was good incisive play by Leo Chew through the legs of Silver gets inside the box. Good layoff on a nice stripe by a Bear. Yeah, a terrific run, slips it through the legs and then is strong. That's what I like.
He's able to hold off Silva. Silver's got a good fifteen twenty pounds on him at least, and then lays off a quality ball similar to what Freddy Montero did for a roasnack last week. So Abar steps to the ball, hits it. Well, it's interesting. He got a nudge from Ruiz and he goes down and I think the referee and maybe looking at this a couple of replays, it was Ruise who stuck out his right foot. I was going to mention that Leo choose down the ground right now holding his right ankle.
He got clipped by Ruise in the box after he made the pass, but as he put it through the legs pete of Silva. Silva put pressure on him. A savat player, Ladaro he seemed to do all the time. Holds back, feels the pressure, goes down, potential pek. Yeah, no, you're correct, you're correct. I was pleased that he was strong enough to stay on his feed, but a little bit of a little bit of moxie and going down and then he did lay off a great ball
for a bear and did get contact on the feet. But because you know, it's almost an advantage right Seattle still got off the shot, so it almost plays better for the referee he's safe and that he doesn't have to make the goal. Well, this copyrighted audio costs of Major League Soccer may not be retransmitted, reproduced, or rebroadcast without the express written consent of Major League Soccer. I do love the fact that she's been on the right hand side,
that they're giving him that flexibility. He's been on the right hand side twice. Now Morris gets himself a little bit central. That makes it very difficult for r SEL to figure out their marks. Well, it was it was Silva who was in a one v one situation out on the right hand side, not where he wants to be, especially against the player that Leo Chiu is suddenly thriving off the start he's had this year. The goal five assists as RSLF put the ball up, knock the ball long, and it's
Misovski who makes the run. Yeamar tracks them all the way to the Sounders left hand side, ricochet off Yema. It's gonna be an RSL throwing on their right hand side about five yards from the corner flag end to end for RSL. As they try to put some pressure on the Sounders, they come away with it. Come all the way back. Sound has got solid block at back, puts a little bit of pressure on Silver holds on the halfway line. Sound as pressure as Leo who comes to justin glad RSL in possession
in that defensive heart of the field. The Silver switches the ball all the way across the right and side flick into Missovski picks the ball up. JPSB careful on a yellow card, tracks him well out to the left hand side. Jefferson, Savorino on his right foot comes inside just right by misofsky, top of the box. Good blot by the sounds, and it's Savarino out to vera left foot. Ricochet's off, Alex Roldan's gonna run over the end line for an RSL corner kick. Pete viewing, I'm impressed with RSL.
They're patient, they know what their abilities are, they know where they should attack. Seattle. Also that any sometimes games are slow, right, this has been a very fast twenty five minutes. It's been fast because it's been very entertaining. Each team has had quality chances. Corner kick here Seattle's got to be sharp. Glad always makes me nervous on these Rui's left foot on their left hand side, So it'll be an outswinging corner kick in front of
a packed stand behind the goal. Ball comes in defended well by Jordian Maricy flicks it or two as a chance now to break for the Sounders. In transition, Jordan Morris supporting him through the middle, gets his head up. Jordan Morris, it bear in support, all gets flicked around the corner justin Glad reads the play tracked all the way back from his corner kick. Offensive Responsibilities comes back and cleans it up and it's Savareeno now on the right hand
side. Pressure from JP halfway line comes back to Stephen Caldwell, who's started the game against the Sounders back in March. As there's a player down for rsl Vera clecks the ball knocks out of bounds and I think it might be Rubin on the deck Orsovsky on the deck holding his left knee. But Pete for the Sounders. Tough place to play, as we mentioned, it gets in Sundy Utah. But they've started well. They've got even fifty fifty in
possession. I've had some chances, both in transition also building out of a tech. Yeah, each of the goalkeeper's been a little nervous about a couple of things. He had had a cross come right to him, McMath had to stop the one at the near post from a bear. Each team's had their chances. Seattle I think's been a little more aggressive on the front foot attacking. But I look at RSL and they build up with an idea, they build up with thought. So I do have to say this, I
love seeing Glad track all the way back. I grew up as a kid watching Mike England Dave Gillett the center backs for the Seattle Sounders corner kick and they were on their bikes getting back, and I think as a coach he's kind of warms your heart when your center back shirt and we just saw it
with Jackson Reagan as well. So Glad tracks all the way back and does his job, and she passing to Reuben, tries to flick it in between Jackson Reagan and Kellen Row but Jackson Reagan reads to play well, collects it and the sound is cleared the bull, but it's picked up by the left footed Alvita, who's playing on the right hand side. He played left back
in the first game at Lukeman Field between RSL and the Sounds. Now he's shifted across to the right hand side as Vera comes into the starting lineup and he's RSL on that right hand side. Savarino inside the books, Mick soft the ankles of Jackson Reagan's gonna go out for a another RSL corner kick. I like our center backs. Jackson Reagan did exactly what Gomez and Roddi did a moment ago. They don't reach for balls they're not gonna get They get
their body in the right spot. They deflect balls. They're big and they're strong. It's good from Jackson Reagan. Jackson Reagan a couple of years ago might have dove in for that ball, might have fouled for that ball. But he's patient. You can see the growth and in the improvement. Second corner kicks gonna be an in swingeing cross left foot flicked all the way to the back post, challenged by Jordan Morris, it goes up in the egg.
Ladaro heads it away and defends well. But it's Gomez flicking the ball from middle to right hand side Ruise with his left foot challenged by JP. JP stands him up well, flicks to the back post. It's Savarino left hand side, comes to his left foot, nicked off Jordan Morris. We'll see if it's gonna be a corner kick. It's not the referee he gives a gold kick. But it's in the angle that we could see Pete definitely a corner kick. They got it wrong. We'll take it. We'll take
it. Yeah. Jordan Morris definitely gets a foot of that those pink shoes. If he had dark shoes on, he might have got away with it. But the pink shoes definitely deflected that ball. But not a lot of complaining from RSL. That's good. Sound is now in contained composed possession with JP, who sits on a yellow card after an early yellow card given by the referee, to be careful as he navigates the rest of this game. Does he ever do? Isn't it great to see a center back come back
that deep get the ball they played into him. It's a lot of confidence and it puts RSL in a very uncomfortable spot. Ball into a bad back to goal just so well with his back to goal, getting in shoe involved in his Ladero left hand side. Brian Schmetz has talked about Ladero's responsibilities this year is staying a bit more central, little less running, but more about
strategic positioning. But the sound is now right hand side with roll Don comes into JP's now involved in the attacking third of the field, goes towards the top of the box, Slip ball into a bare drag it wide and it's gonna be a gold kick. But it was a chance for the sound as it was well played by by JP. Picks the ball up in the attacking third, comes insight to his left foot, a little ball in behind. It's both it Bear and Jordan Morris, but it's a Bear, drags it
wide. Math's right hand posts. Could it be a RSL gold kick? Pete viewing, Well, we just talked about JP getting the ball in the defensive third, and now he's got the ball in the attacking third, slipping in a great ball. It could have been a Morris shot. It could have been an a Bear shot. Abart took it. Morris because he's a great pro. Doesn't complain. Let's his teammate take the chance. Abert shakes
his hand saying sorry. RSL. With Gomez strikes it well, it's knocked up in the air and it's a double saved by Stephen Fry getting angry at his back for there was no pressure on Gomez as he came off his right hand side midfield spot, insight clicked to the ball was able to shift the
ball forward about ten yards without any real pressure. Kellen Road drops off with the overlapping one of Aviado is a free shot from twenty twenty five yards well saved by Stephen Fry initially and then double saved to knock it over the top for the third corner for RSL. And there's a slight deflection off Jackson Reagan that Fry's going to his right, going to catch it with his right hand, has to gunch it with his left good left palms saved by Stephen Fry.
It's gonna be Ruiz instringan corner kick into the six yard bucks Well defended by Alex Roldan clears it well, followed up by Ladero as the ball trickles towards Pablo ashtra Ernie, who flicks the ball up to Caldwell, ball in his hands left hand side in front of the RSL bench as a Sounders get reset now from that corner kick Jordan Morris walking over to his right, attacking midfield, Spot runs next, sitting in behind, Ball goes over the top.
Jackson Reagan tracks all the way across the Missovsky double team by roll down, roll, Dan goes down. He's they got caught by an Aaron elbow four arm. It's gonna be a sound as free kick Pete. I'd like to see Danny go over and shake hands with Alex On that they played against each other in college and uh oh, we're getting to see the three place he's got his hand, he's palming his face. That could be a card for sure, Danny, we have an issue. Alex rolled On and JP
look exactly the same with their facial hair and hair. Yeah, we're gonna have to talk to those guys. Somebody's gonna shave. It'd be making it tough on us and trying to pick those guys out. Thank goodness, we got the numbers on the back of their jersey. But yeah, Stephen fry in all blue. Thankfully we can identify who he is. The gloves are dead giveaway. Bull goes along all the way down the right hand side, challenged by Georgian Morris. He's so good in the air from those long balls
that go into either Jordian Morris and Christian Roll. Domin is on the field, still out through concussion protocol as the sound has worked through it and making sure that they do all the right things. A Stephen Fry clecks the bull low driven bull flicked by Yea Mars. It goes to silver headed flick by Coldwell, but JP picks up the pieces to Yama and the sound is comfortable right now in possession as they try to find Ladara, but given away for
the sound as RSL pick it up. A little ball into Ruben. Nothing given by referee as Yamos steps in and wins the ball and they said giveaway again by Rosenac. It's a sloppy ball and referee it looks like it's going to be a assays the referee, but it says flag up on the fast side is Ruben. It came off from off side position trying to collect the ball. Sound as have it free kick. I think Seattle was a little lucky there because Rusnat gave it away. They were in transition. They had
an opportunity and then the transition went back for RSL. We were fortunate to get the call and get the ball back. You know, Fry has been three for three on first time balls out of the back with really good quality breaking the lines trying to start the attack. He's had one long ball to the left hand side, two right up the middle, really good jump starting of the offense with a lot of confidence from fris feet. It certainly feels
it's been a slight change in tactics to play it longer. As the ball goes from right hand side all the way across the left hand side, Leo chu has they builds to pick up some speed, tries to play a little combination with Ladero sits behind him, but he keeps possession of the ball left hand side, comes back to Ladero as a Row drops it off thirty yards from the end line. It's JP head up looking for options. Nothing forward.
Goes back to Kellen Row who looks to make the big switch from left hand side of his right foot all the way across to Alex Roldan in support deep on the right hand side, comes in his left foot, whips it in. Referees whistle goes it's going to be an RSL free kick. But again Pete, the sounds ability to go through the middle, go from left to right, that transition play from left to right is really one. It might have been. It might have been Alex a little bit offside on that
one. But I'm with you Row with a good diagonal ball, you know, I love seeing JP pull in the strings as he is. He's standing on the ball and he's looking left, looking right and RSL is sort of frozen, not knowing where he's going to go with his pass. So good ball from good diagonal ball from Kellen Rowe trying to open things up for Alex.
Jordan Morris comes away and as we see with Jordan eight goals in nine games, as the ball goes a long challenged by Rowe, it's a clash of bodies, but the Sound has come away with it with Leo Chu all the way into the top. Mcmathree's the danger. Well again it was Jordian Morris off his right hand side, goes in behind. McMath collects the ball, but again it's Jordan Morris who's able to see those areas of danger from his right spot, gets in behind that back for and it's a clash of
bodies. From Kellen Rowe looked like armed to face as he challenged the ball. Well from Rubin wins it as he rubs the back of his head, and a sound is able to take a slight breather. Now once again, thirty fifth minute. This has been a very very quick and entertaining half. Each team can be pleased with their play offensively and defensively. And I think you're right, Danny. I think the four thousand plus feet this is a good break for Seattle. Right now, get some water, get your breath.

So, as you mentioned, Pete, slight lull in affairs as the train has come on, But for the Sounds thirty five minutes in remains nil nil here at sound of Utah nine fifty KGr am as Pablo mast Rainy looks, that's some notes on his bench. Once again, get another sounder down, so a yellow card given by the referee. The ball goes into Jordan Morris to Rosnick as he collects the second
ball, plays it out quickly. It's gonna be Ladero on the left hand side finds Leo Chu as he goes down the line cuts the ball drops towards the end line, whips it in, collected by McMath and the referee gives a free kick to Leo Chu about three yards from the end line, just outside the eighteen yard bucks. Aviado's arguing his case with referee Sigafy, hands together, pleading his case. There's Leo Chu came in, he was Aviado came in late court, Leo Chu on the left on his left ankle.
As he crossed the ball, it's gonna be as sound as free kick. Yeah, there's no question. That's a definitely a foul. He's certainly got a good chunk of Leo Chow's shin. I think the referee has been pretty good besides the gift he gave us a should have been an RSL corner kick, but he's been spot on on these calls. Olvida arguing his case against Leo Chow and silly looked like the right call. Dangerous play here now rous
Neck on the ball just outside the box on the left hand side. Rose Neck with his right foot sounds left hand side right there on the end line where the eighteen yard bucks meets the end line. Right foot is cauld be
An in swinging free kick. Here is the sounds play is load to six yard bucks Yama it bare Morris as they stand in front of that front post looking for some quality delivery by rus Neck because he steps back, Jackson Reagan finding a spot marked by Justin Glad nothing on here, comes to Rosnack, whips it in, goes low, deflects and cleared eventually by RSL. Goes all the way out for a thrown. But it's gonna be a Sounders throwing
on their left hand side. As Kellen Road trot's over to collect the ball from the fans. It's like a packed house here in soundy Utah Sounders nil, RSL nil. As they have the ball on the left hand side, it's going to come in down the line to Bath flicks around the corner. Leo two collects it left side of the box, defended well by RSL, but comes to Jordan Morris who flicks it and it's silver eventually clears it with his left foot all the way down the line and collected by Yama comes back
to Jackson Reagan. Sound is now able to possess, but some high press by RSL goes low. Nothing on clears their lines, trickles all the way through to McMath in the RSL goal goes out to Justin Glad. A little bit of pressure from Ladaro and a bar challenged by Jordan Morris, a little nudge, nothing given by the referee. Sound has come away with it. Foul on JP by Ruise as he goes down halfway line, right hand side free kick Sound. As Pete viewing, I think it's been an interesting couple
of minutes for both teams. I think each team's looking at the clock saying, okay, there's five minutes to go, seven minutes to go, let's make sure that we don't concede anything. Each team's sort of taking their foot off the gas. And yet now here we go with Seattle once again as RSL come away with it on that right hand side. Obviata with his left foot crossing into Sound as territory challenged by Kellen Rowe comes back to Caldwell to
Ruise middle of the field for RSL. Now as a Sounders drop off, low block of confrontation inside there half of the field as it bear center, Ladero shifts to the left as the ball goes from center to right. Gomez on their right hand side, challenged by Kellen Rowe. No support for Kellen Rowe as he does a little shimmy does Gomez and it's cleared by Jackson Reagan as he bangs on his head. But it's gonna be an RSL corner kick their right hand side. Forty minutes gone here in Sandy Uta RSL nil,
Seattle nil, Pete viewing. It's a good ball in Jackson Reagan, big strong niccature. He gets to the ball first. It's gonna be Ruise with his left foot on their right hand side, so in swinging corner kick. As the Sounders gets set marking man for man, ball comes in top of the six yard bucks flicked by Jackson Reagan well as it scoots out to the RSL left hand side, but it's Savarino picks it up, comes onto his stronger right foot, goes all the way to the bat post. Glad tries
to recover it and it goes over for a Sounders gold kick. Remains RSL nil, Seattle nil here and Sandy Utah and nine fifty KGr am but Peter as we get into the final minute, so this first half, is Brian gonna be satisfied with what he's seeing so far? I think he is. I think he's going to talk about the final pass. I think he's going to talk about getting numbers through the box. I think he's going to talk about making sure on restarts that they are very very sharp, do not let
RSL counter. But yeah, I think at the beginning of the game, I think we said I if we were at a clean sheet, that would be a good thing. Ball trickles out with Leo chu at a chance to create some space but gets tackled well by RSL and it's Ladero. Ball his hands comes inside to Roseneck, back to Yama, finds Alex Roldan advanced on his right spot in front of the Sounders bench near side. As we're looking
at it as a Sounder shoot from left to right in all green. Alex Roldon comes inside a little outside of the football into Jordan Morris, defended well by Silva and it's RSL now in transition right hand side, Gomez opening up his legs as he takes up space into sound As territory, challenged well by Roe Rubin back to Gomez on the right hand side, supported by Aviator with his left foot, whips it in, headed clear by Jackson Reagan, flicked
by Rosneck and well played by a bad back to goal, maintains possession for the Sounders. JP calms it down a little slot pass between two RSL players to Ladero to Chew. Now the Sounders have a chance to maintain possession. Just calm the game down. As we get into the forty third minute.
Here in Sandy Utah, Rosneck's pocket pinched and RSL now in transition with Vera inside attacking right footed shot drives it low and hard but wide of Stephron Fry's post goal kick Sounders remains nil nil pe viewing, Yeah, fry knew it was going wide. I liked the build up with Seattle. Unfortunately, Roosneck a little bit casual with the ball, as you say, he got his pocket pick. But that was the kind of buildup that Seattle hasn't had in
the last four or five. That's you can kind of see that they've sort of gotten a bit disjointed. They needed that kind of possession and build up. They've got it again now with JP on the ball. They look good when they're settled, when they're set, but giving up those easy passes not good for Seattle. It's RSL nil. Sounds nil here in Sandy, Utah. The score update is presented by Providence Swedish as we get into the final
minutes this first off. No breakthrough goals so far in this game, but the Sound is going to be satisfied with the start they've made in this game. Solid first forty three minutes as a Sound has had possession the attacking third of the field right hand side into Alex Roldan, who's central now from his right back spot. It's got heavily involved up the field so far in this game. As Jordan Morris CLECXI a right hand side back to rosneck Sound is
now maintaining possession. Ball goes in behind JP towards the end line, right corner of the box. Flicks it all the way across. It was a sliding silver but j he stays on it, stays on his feet. Goal kick. RSL Pete viewing a good run good build up down the right hand side, good run from JP. I level when the center you're you're holding midfielder is making that diagonal run gets to it just a little bit of a
heavy pass and so it doesn't quite get the cross off. And you know, we see professional sports, you know, players competing against each other. JP helping up a teammate or helping up his opponent. I'm old school. I love to see that. It's the class of the guy. I like to see it. R So pick up the ball right inside, Gomes runs
it out of bounds. But the sound is so far fifty five percent of possession and this first half, but it's RSL or have seven shots on goals versus the sound as four I should expect from an away team typically in transition with the sound as if dominate possessions. So far here in Sunda, Utah, I think I think they've had definitely the most dangerous chance just wide right on the header that when they had three on three inside the box. But
Seattle, you ask if Brian Schmutz will be happy. I think he will be pleased with the team for this first half. Maybe it's similar to what we saw in Minnesota as well zero zero at halftime, RSL pick up the ball middle of the field, flicks it around to Rubin who goes to the right side, challenged by Jack Swagan. He hits it low and hard and goes wide. It was a looks like a fingertips saved by Stepfan Fry low
down to his right hand side. He was Ruben who collected the ball in the middle of the field, pushed it towards the right hand side, and he was a good save by Stephen Fry. But it's gonna be an RSL corner. Kick remains nil nil Pete viewing, Yeah, great safe from Fry, completely extended all the way across his body. He knows his goal and strong wrist to push the ball wide. That goes in in the MLS on a lot of goalkeepers because the technique was good. Diving back a little bit
good for Stephen Fry. Fifth corner for RSL. The left hand side rights foot in swinging cross cleared by Yama and the extra mild stoppage time is going to be two minutes. Actually I'll correct that it'll be three minutes. As we get into the forty sixth minute. As Stephran Fry collects the ball pushes his back line up as we try and see out the final few minutes of this first half so Brian can get into his locker room and give the team
some direction and prepare for that second half. As the ball goes long by Stephen Fry, flicked by Jordan Morris, but it's RSLI pick up the pieces cleared by Glad but Leo two picks up the second ball middle of the field, goes short into Ladero as he's able to turn with it. Caldwell closes the ball down, goes back to JP on the left hand side. Good possession by the sound As an attacking third into Lee or two inside the box. RSL can't challenge here is inside the box. Left foot onto its right
foot, strikes, ball goes high and wide. Goal kick RSL remains nil nil. Pete yeah, Chu would love that back. He didn't quite wrap his foot around it. It's on his right foot, the stronger foot being his left. He could have done a little bit better with that, and I'm sure he's aware of it. Mittmth goes along early to Gomez, collected by the Sounders on the second ball with Ladero on the left hand side, just inside RSL Territory decides to come back to get into the forty seventh minute
of three minutes of injury time. RSL nils seel nil here in Sandy, Utah. As the ball goes along, Vera lets it bounce, clears it and it's a chance for Alex rolled on his left foot and Silver comes back tracks back. Vera have the chance to head it back to the goalkeeper. He didn't. He try to clear it and Alex rolled on again, advanced from his right backspot, gets tackled by Silver just as he was pulling the trigger. But it's gonna be a Sounders corner kick as it trickles over that
end line. But Pete, good way to finish this first half. Yeah, no question Alex will want this back. He just has hesitated. I think he was stunned that the ball was at his foot. Bull comes in flick by Jordan Morris as it rolls out for an RSL goal kick. Pete, Yeah, he could have just lifted Alex if he has that again, he could have just lifted that over. Silver closed him down quick. He hesitated for a second chance was lost. But gosh, that's it. That's
unfortunate. Each team having a good chance, frymaking the big save all the way from start to finish, and a very entertaining first half. As we get to the end of three minutes of extra mile injury time here in Sandy, Utah, McMath Bull on the middle of the six yard bucks his back fourth RSLF pushed out to the halfwayn Bull goes along and referee Sick Coffee blows
his whistle to end the first half. He was at cage first half, no goals at the break, Pete, your thoughts of what we've seen so far, Well, I've liked it at the fact that we kept another clean sheet. We have five full clean sheets an hour. At five and a half. I thought Seattle had good chances. I thought they showed some good composure, good defense. But it has been a wide open game and Seattle has certainly had their chances. I like the fact that the right side and
left side have been pretty active. Chew on the left and Morris on the right. We'll take a short break, Jackson felt. We're back with Pete viewing to break it all down at halftime. Here at American First Field in Sanda, Utah. It's Royal Salt Salt Lake nil sounds nil. When two forces for good come together, united by a greater purpose, something amazing happens.

In the books, there were chances from both sides, some big plays from both sides, but ultimately it is a zero zero score. Sounder fans, bud Light was brewed to be a delicious and easy to drink beer, a bud Light, easy to drink, easy to enjoy. Pick up bud Light at your local retailer today, Please enjoy responsibly. Yeah, let's go through that a half
and let's talk about it. Though obviously we'll get to some keys to the second half here as we welcome here into the halftime show. Jackson felts we'll send it back out to both Danny Jackson and Pete Feeling for the second half in just a little bit. But let's go through this first half. And I think the first few minutes of this game, we saw rial salt Lake
kind of start off on the front foot. It took about I would say, you know, five six, seven, eight minutes for the Sounders to kind of get into this match and find control because Salt Lake did start off on the right foot of this game, didn't have you know, too many massive chances, but you know, we saw it in the eighth minute and Danny mentioned this on the broadcast JP jo Apollo a hard challenge there, and
what happens is he gets a yellow card now as a result. And I believe I checked the math on this as well as Danny and and it looks like that will give him enough yellow cards to be suspended for the Sounders next match that will be next Sunday, May seventh against Sporting Kansas City at home. So that is certainly something to watch. The good news is is Obed Vargas is on the bench for today's match, so he'll be back. He would be available. Josh A Tensio is now healthy, he would be available.
Just don't want to see either of those guys get hurt again. But Joel Polo it seems like he would be missing that next match. And then from when we saw about ten minutes in the game, you know, then RSL certainly lost control a little bit in the sense that Seattle took control because we saw a series of plays where the Sounders kept knocking, knocking, knocking on that door trying to get the ball in the back of the net.
You had a combination of Ladero to a bear and ahead of that way and just wide you had a Chew in the eighteenth to minute or so to be twenty first minute. One of the most sensational movies we've seen from from Leo Chew. He actually switched to the right side, puts the ball right between the defenders legs. He went five hole on him and he made him just horribly. Chew goes around the defender, might have been glad and is able
to lay a ball off to a bear. His shot saved, but there was a palty shout because Chew was tripped on the past to a bear. A var ruled nothing and thus we play on. That might have been the Sounders best chance of that half. You had another really good chances A dished a bear from JP that went wider than twenty ninth minute, so some you know, for that about ten fifteen minutes stretch, the Sounders just kept knocking on that door for a goal. Ultimately nothing went into the back of the
net. Wild kind of sequences back and forth for the last fifteen minutes. That saw some physical play, some guys staying down for some few extra minutes. I think the Sounders appreciated that fingertips saved from Stephen Frying. The forty fifth minutes. A big chance from Alex rolled on in the forty fifth plus two. So some major chances in this match for both sides. I should have mentioned a right after one of those at the thirty first minute, I
think it was Stephen Fry had a double save. Big chances on both sides, but nothing in the back of the net yet. This game could easily be two two right now. But if some good goalkeeping and I think some good defending from both sides have this match right now at zero zero. Well, a Sounders FC single match suite is a perfect for a birthday, alumni

Sattle's Sports Radio nine fifty KJR. Back to the halftime show, Seattle Sounders, Real Salt Lake. Even at zero. We're just having a spirited discussion there in the break about the Sounders set up for next week against Sporting Kansas City. Considering that Jual Paulo will not be playing. He will be suspended yellow card accumulation after taking a yellow card in the eighth minute. So some
interesting discussion, but we are getting way ahead of ourselves. The focus right now is on RSL and how the Sounders can get away with a win. Let's quickly tell you Sounder fans, and I'll tell you that this copyrighted audiocast of Major League Soccer I may not be retransmitted, to, reproduced, or
rebroadcast without the express written consent of Major League Soccer. Your subs for this match include everybody who took part in the Open Cup win over San Diego on Wednesday, Starfire, Stephen Cleveland, Javier Ariaga, Red Baker Whiting I should say read Banger Whiting after his amazing goal in the one hundred and second minute, josh A Tensio, Obed Vargas, Soda Kitahara, Ethan Doublair, who had his first senior team goal in the Open Cup match, Dylan Tevez and
Freddy Montero, who scored twice, including the game winning penalty in the one hundred and twenty fourth minute of the Open Cup match on Wednesday, So a very strong bench, all of them who just are feeling great after that Open Cup win. And in terms of how the Sounders can get a win, I would just say, you know, take advantage of one of these chances. There's been so many in this game, from the tenth minute header to the twenty first minute chew into the box to a bear, to the twenty
ninth minute to a bear a shot that goes wid. A lot of these chances from a bear, just a bear put under the back of the net. You're my player to watch today, man, I would love to see a score that goal, get on the mark and get the Sounders a one nothing win. As we remember in the regular season, the Sounders only have one ever win in the regular season in Sandy, Utah. So just gotta take advantage of what are these chances been great defensively, Stephen Friesman, Stellar
just need one of these chances there to go in. I think Jordan Morris can do off the wing and we'll see what the substitute does. Jordan Morris go up top and kind of create that duo with Chew that we've scene. Does a bear come off for a Freddy Mon zero, how does the lineup shift and when does Brian Spencer make that first change? I think all are very interesting things to watch you as the second half begin, so I'll step aside. Danny Jackson Pete Viewing will have the call for the second half.
It's zero zero between the Sounders and Real Assault Lake. I would sell you one more time. Sounders FC Soccer is presented by Providence Swedish, the official healthcare partner of Sounders FC. Referee blows his whistle and gets the second half underway as Justin Glad picks the ball up,
goes along to Gomez and it scoots under his foot. As a sounds came out early on the field, Brush Schmitzer made his comments and the team was ready to go, and certainly a solid first half away team performance by the sound is as RSL flick it long, but it's collected by JP as we get right back into it. Here with the Sounders, Lee or chew left hand side into RSL territory as he comes inside a little combination with a bear who drops it back to JP into a bear again from Rusnack as it
Bear holds up pressure from Ruise and the Sounders maintaining some good early possession. They had fifty five percent possession in the first half. Kind of interesting, Pete from a standpoint of away team, especially in a place like Sandy Utah against RSL when they haven't had much success in the time there in MLS. One win and that came back in twenty eleven as the Sounds picking up left hand side Lee or Chow comes inside from his left spot top of the box
to a Bear, drops it off to Rusnack. Fleixaball all the way across to roll down as he whips the ball at a JOHNA. Marris had a header three header in the a six yard books flashes wide, he isn't able to get good contact and it rolls over the ende for an our sale gold cake. But Pete viewing a chance right out of the gates. Yes, With about fifteen to twenty passes in a row, Alex roledon pinpoint cross Jordan Morris really upset with himself. He's not a demonstrative type of player, but
hands to the head leaning against the crossbar, governed his face. He had a chance to put Seattle up in the first minute of the second half. I love the build up from Seattle on what we saw and what we're seeing right now is you got Jordan Morris up high and a bear up high, and Alex Roldon has pushed up almost as a right midfield alms more of a wingback than in the back four. So Seattle comes out on the front foot. Danny Cheer point the fact that they are on the field early in this
in the beginning, at the end of halftime. I love to see that. That means they are hungry, That means they're confident, That means they want to go take it to RSL. Well. Possession has been something that Brian Schmitz is really focused on in the off season. I think that's been picked up by coaches and analysts around the league. When you look at coming into today's game, four thousand, one hundred and fifty nine total passes for
the Sounders and MLS play so far. That tops MLS so for the Sounders again in RSL one win in regular season play, but fifty five percent possession. As a Sounders get a free kick p on the right hand side. I love that how many passes with that four thousand, four thousand, and this is coming in, so my data is already wrong. But it's almost four thousand and seven hundred and sixty, so I'm gonna guess four thousand. Yeah, we're getting close to five thousand. Except yeah, yeah, that's
good. No, I lended this game. You would expect to be five thousand. Yes, for I would I bet were there now. Yeah, I've been impressed with Yeah. It's a sign of how skillful this team is, how smart they are, how well they play together. Sounds pick up the ball middle of the field in RSL territory. Is it Kellen road is left foot, goes into Ladera, back to Chew, back to LADERA good combination by the Sounders, maintaining good possession as RSL dropped back deep in their
half of the field. No real pressure on yamar Z walks the ball into the RSL half Jackson Reagan sent a circle head up compact there in front of him, no real options, goes to Row, back to Jackson. Kellen Rowe again another solid first half performance. We talked about kell and Rowe and
how good he's been in those games. Ways come in sporting case last week it's Minnesota three hundred and fifty games in MLS as a sound as get possession right hand side, but give it away and RSL come away that with ruise with his left foot, but gives it away. And again it's Kellen Row middle of the field, comes away the right hand side, Rosneck inside the box strikes it over the bar. But five minutes gone. In this second
half, it's RSL nil, see al nil. But Pete the sound has continued to press and come out the gates quick well, just like the first half, but in reverse. Maybe it's this end of the field that as a magnet in there because RSL has been stuck in their defensive end. You know, I'll tell you you just talked about kell and Rowe think about his career when he was at New England. He came out of UCLA, but he is at New England. He was in the center of the park.
He was getting some goals for New England. Now he's a left back and you were talking about his three hundred and fifty games at that time. He makes a combination play with Jackson Reagan. A moment later he steps up picks
off a pass. I'm really impressed with what he's done. Ball goes along by McMath from a goal kick, but one easily by Jackson Reagan, six foot five frame ball down the line for RSL their right hand side, deep on their right hand side, Jackson Reagan slides across, put pressure on as it deflects off Jackson Reagan and Stephen Fry saves it as he comes away. That decked out and all blew the Sounders an all rave green tonight, green
shirts, green shorts, green socks, shooting from right to left. RSL in their traditional claret and cobalt red shirts, blue shorts and red socks. And let's give you the Sounders lineup coming out the second half. No real changes in personnel, all formation. We'll get to that in a minute. As Leo Chu comes inside from his left spot inside ball in behind, Silver hesitates for a split second. Jordan Morris picks up the ball inside the box.
It's clipped up by Ladero and collected well by McMath and distributed quickly to Mussovski. But Yeymar collects the ball, comes away with it, and that transition from RSL is snuffed out well by Yeymar. But here's the lineup coming out of the second half Steffron Fring goal are back four of Roll darn Yeymar Reagan row Jo Paulo on a yellow card, his fifth yellow card, so
he misses the Sporting Case game due to that accumulation of yellow cards. Is in the middle alongside Albert Roseneck, Jordan Morris, Ladero Chu and it bare up front as the Sounders on the right hand side with Roll darn As.
Pete Mention got involved heavily in that first half an advanced right spot from his right back position really has evolved his game this year as Brian in the offseason has tweaked and twisted the way the Sounders attacked down that right hand side, and suddenly tonight's an indication as Rogue comes in, flicks off it bad, comes all the way out to Alex Roldon again, advance comes back inside to JP time top of the box, ball into JP low combination with Ladera,
cleaned up by Vera and cleared by McMath who his left foot long and high and no real options. But Pete for the sound is fifty second minute here in sound of utah rsl nil sil nil. What does the sound is? What's Brian Schmitz's message been to his team at halftime. Well, one thing that we're seeing is Alex Roldon is very high up and right now looking at
the back three is really what it is. Gomes Andradi has slid to the right hand side, Jackson Reagan's day central, kell and Row on the left and Alex Roldon is very high up and Jordan Morris is in the center of the park right now, almost playing as a lone striker with a bear sitting underneath him. So and then at times they're together. But it's really a
different for it's the same personnel but a bit of a different shape. And I think it's put rsl Anders pressure sounds with the ball comes into a bath from the throwing. The sound is that possession were up to sixty percent possession now for the sounds in the game, it shows the dominance in the beginning of this second half. As the ball comes off the hand of Glad top of the box, there was a flick around the corner for him look darre
looking for Leo chewing behind and it came off justin Glad. We'll see if the referee gives a yellow card. He's got a yellow card in his hands and it almost looked inadverting Pete kind of as almost to his side, it comes off his arm, but yeah, it comes up. It's gonna be a free kick for the sound as top of the box, left of center, and a yellow card for Justin Glad Pete. Yeah, and it was inadverting, but it certainly was a handball his body. His hand was away
from his body, and you know he did get the yellow card. He kicked the ball away, not in real anger but more out of self frustration,
but definitely he deserved the yellow card. It's good opportunity for Seattle, and you know they'll have two guys on the ball that will put McMath in a in a bit of a tough spot a yard off the eighteen Well, seven shots so far for the Sounders in this game as they get a free kit ready to go with Rosneck, the former RSL player, Three of the four goals that Rosneck has scored for the Sounders since his in introduction to this
team in twenty twenty two have been outside the eighteen yard bucks, including last week against Minnesota. As he lines us up left of center, top of the box, Solidaro and Rosneck. Rosneck comes up to it. Flix the ball up and it just goes high and wide. It was looking for that far top corner. As Math took a step to his right, it was open and available. Just goes high and wide. RSL goal kick. Pete viewing. Great opportunity, and you know you can't set a stage any better.
You're playing against your old team. You're just outside the box. There's been a couple of plays on either team that players want those opportunities back. We just had one on the cross with Jordan Morris Rosneck. Would love to have that back. Techniques very important. Just lean him back a little bit and put it about three or four yards over the crossbar. Looks like RSL is gonna make some early changes as McMath has the goal kit ball placed in
the middle of the six yard box. As it goes long and high to the RSL left hand side, collected by Gomez and his feet comes back to Vera, goes back to Gomez middle of the partner comes in behind and Jackson Regan tries to flick it around the corner from Rubin finds itself to Savarino on
the right hand side. This time Savorino and Gomez have switched sides, Savorino now playing on the right hand side, Gomez on the left hand side, and we're gonna get to the RSL lineup in just a moment once we've figured out some of these changes. Gonna be Ohayda who's going to come on for Caldwell, who's been relatively quiet in this game. It'd be a light for
like substitution. And it's Jackieson who's new to this team. This is his debut for RSL off the bench birteen Jackerson, and it's gonna be Mussovski who's gonna come off so like for like swim as well for Missovski. I understand the sub with Misofsky coming off and Gason coming on because he hasn't been playing much. To give him forty thirty five minutes for this one makes good sense. It's interesting to see it's Pablo Mastriani making some changes to try to have
an impact on the game and to elevate the game. So it shows what his intent is for this. Certainly not happy to stay zero zero well, and he's got experience on the field. Dame cry Luck scored two goals in overtime in their US Open Cup win against the Las Vegas Lights on Wednesday, three one winners in that game. Sound has had an incredible five four win in their Open Cup game at Starfire and Tequila. The memory is still off
those incredible goals. It's just had everything for the neutral fan as Ladera steps stop, it takes a shot, goes wide to the post. No real danger for McMath, but let's get to that. RSL lineup mcmathin goal, a back four of Aviado, Glad Silva and Vera, Ruise and now o'hayda is in the middle of the park. Gomez on the right hand side, Savorreen on the left but who looks like in this second half they've switched,
and then Rubin and Jakison for his debut for RSL. As the ball comes into Aviada, who is playing on the right hand side of the back four but left footed, played left back in the Sounders first game, and Ruiz
comes away with it. Gomez inside left from his wide spot, comes inside, flecks aboard his right foot all the way out to Savorreeno, now on the right hand side, tries to play the ball in from the top corner of the box, deflects off Kell and Rowan again keller Rows solid in that left back position as a replacement for Knew, who who's still sick and missed last week's game as well. And just like Pete, you were a late scratch for the sixth Steve Zaquani Knew who was also sick last week, and
keller Row was always experience for his three hundred and fiftieth game. And it's Ruis top of the box, strikes the ball just wide. It was Ruise with his left foot twenty five yards out middle of the field, strikes the ball low and goes wide of Stephen Fry's right post. But another chance for ourself from distance. I've had a couple of pop shots in this game so far. This time he was Ruiz, slides off the outside of his left foot, goes wide sound as gold kick remains nil nil. People a dangerous
ball. It's bouncing right in front of Fry. It's a bit of a screwball coming off his left foot, bending away from Fry. Had it curled, that could have been maybe in the back of the net, but Fry did have it covered. But it's dangerous because it's bouncing right in front of him and fading away again. I thought Fry had had the ball covered. As Leo Chew comes away. That gets not looks like an elbow and aaron elbow from Aviato as he came through left arm up Pete that there is I
think VR will take a look at this. As Leo chu gets to his feet over Ada, looks like he's a little concerned based on the look in his face. Leo Chuta gotta crack on the side of his face but gets up. Nothing given by referee as he listens to his earpiece, but game carries on did not look completely malicious. It didn't look like he Yeah, inadvertent collision, Yeah, but he got him. He did and rs i'll
come away with the ball. Savareeno, now playing on the right hand side, his right football goes down the line all the way into the substituit. Jerkison twenty seven against Yema comes in, maintains possession of the ball their right side of the box, flicks the ball with his left foot cleared by rolled
On, but it's vera pixel. The ball to Gomez on the left hand side, comes in his preferred right foot, whips it in easily collected by Stephre and Fry as he looks for options forward but Sound as FC Soccer is presented by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of Sound as FC momentum shifted back towards Seattle and with that Alex Roldan slid back into an outside back spot on the on the right hand side. And now as Seattle gets the ball again,
we're seeing Alex much higher up the field. I like it from Seattle. It's aggressive having two Seattle. I think Brian prefers to have two forwards as often as possible, and right now he has that with Morris and a bear. RSL come away. In transition, Shakison again plays the ball left
to Gomez the left corner of the box. He's going to come into his preferred right foot potentially, but challenge well by Yama puts pressure on Gomez, but he wriggles free comes back onto his right foot left side of the field for RSL flicks it in clid by it bare now and has it been a slight transition of formations Jordan Mars playing more central spot now as Ladera slides across to the right hand side. A bad playing is a number more conventional number
ten is RSL pick up the ball. Aviato comes in with his left foot, plays the ball to Savoreino top right corner of the box. Challenge well by Road double team by Chew goes back to Ojada as it ball goes to the bat post. Gomez flicks it back around and JP collects it inside the box. Calm as you like, plays out to Rooseneck and the Sounds now
come away with it and maintain possession. Sixty percent possession so far for the Sound as a real untraditional way for an away team to maintain such good possession. Pete, but the Sounds that put such a focus on that this year, and Brian will be happy with what he's seen so far. Dictating tempo, yeah, no question. And again it's the quality of the team. You got JP in the middle of the park Rusnack, Nico Ladero. They know when when to keep the ball, they know when to, you know,
try to risk a little bit of a pass. But in the defensive half, in the in the middle third of the field, they're very good about keeping it wild. Challenge by Hayda goes in with his knee right into the base of JP's back as a sound is maintained possession early message, right, Kenny, new guy comes on the field and says, Okay, we're gonna have a battle and I'm gonna get even. I'm gonna make sure that you do not turn with the ball. Well, Pete, going back toward
our comments were at the beginning of the second half. If my basic math is right, I'm looking at the number of passes three hundred and fifty two passes so far in this game. We've surpassed the five thousand mark. We're not going to get to the exact number, but it's past five thousand. There's got to be a contest. My wife is a math teacher, so you know, I'm not even going to try it out those those numbers up text or quick Yeah, yeah, yeah, We've got to have a competition.
At what moment there's the six thousand pass um and one of our sponsors can give him. Are we sponsored by subways? The game after Sporting Casey is I'm gonna put a bet on that dollar bet. It's as a sound is now ball in possession, ball on the deck. It's gonna be as sounds free kick. As the big boys get into the box again, Jordan Morris sits just inside the PK spot. It's left hand side for the sound is a free kick is gonna be Ludero. I'm up in the air thirty
yards from the end line, left hand side channel. It's gonna be his left foot on the sounds left hand side. Jackson Reagan in the box. It bear Leo Chew, Jordan Morris, Yamar back post, Rosneck sitting top of the box. Ball comes in good cross delivery. Leo Chu got up well, missed the ball, but it's gonna be a foul and a free kick for RSL. Remains nil nil here RSL nil, Seattle nil nine fifty KGr Am and Sandy Utah Pete viewing interesting. You got Chew going up for
the head. That's the second time he's challenged for a ball inside the box. That's where we want Jackson Reagan to come flying through, or Gomez Andradi those are the big bodies, or Jordan Morris getting on the end of those. But you got the Brazilian who is great slender going up and there's a foul. I cannot image and that you you know, actually cause that foul. But I'd love to see Jackson Reagan expand his game and start to become more Chad Marshall like and be able to get on the end of some of
those free kicks. Reckless challenge by Ruben, but referee gives nothing. It's Yamo stepped in, won the ball well, but referee is giving nothing. We've seen this from the Sounders in the past, where ball doesn't have to play put out of play as RSL maintains possession and the Sounders have their line of confrontation high up the field. Now is it Bears playing as a more
conventional number ten. As the ball goes into Reuben middle of the field, flicks the ball with the outside his right foot all the way out to vera left hand side challenges by Alex Roldon, comes across, wins the ball at Darrow on the right hand side. Now at George Morris's slid to the middle, picks the ball up to Russneck and to Alex Roldon and again the Sounder
is just going to manage this tempo, manage control of the game. And you know, Brad Evans and Steve and their podcast were saying why they couldn't put their finger on it, why this was such a difficult place to play. Brad mentioned the field and you know the outsude of courses we've mentioned. But the Sounders now with it. Bear got some time and space top of the box, plays the ball in behind. The Brazilians will off it. For a moment there couldn't quite communicate a Bear try to play the ball in
behind, rolls over the end line. RSL goalkick remains nil nil. Pete fury. Yeah, that's frustrating because good build up, a good opportunity, and they just weren't quite on the same page at the same time. I think choose slow down Abear expected him to continue his run. Ball goes along. Sounders again pick up second ball. RSL now five yards off pressure.
Now they're starting to back off the sound as the Sounders are enjoying a bit more time and space with a ball at their feet in the attacking half of the field. Can they make it count again? An arrant passed, We saw it from at Bear a moment ago. Ball scoots past Alex roll Dan
is that tired legs? Danny? You know, I don't know. You tell me, Pete, you're the endlest Well, just off by a little bit, right, Alex just slowed down a little bit and maybe that's what Steven and Brad were talking about this four thousand plus, you know elevation. We're now in the sixty fifth minute. Maybe it does start to creep in and this is where games are won and lost. We've seen RSL make two subs early in the second half. In the fifty fifth minute, the sound
is of yet to make a sub. We know JP is on a yellow card suspension already for next week, but suddenly got some options off the bench as RSL come away with it now and Savareen are playing on that right hand side. Now, first off, he's on the left. Second half on the right, plays the ball to Vera into sound as Territory slots the ball across to Gomez, new signing in the off season for RSL. As the ball comes in to the substitute, Ojeda shifts the ball from middle to right
to Aviado week of right foot cross, but it finds Gomez. It was a good quality cross by Aviado. It was with his weak or right foot. He was Gomez. He was slashing inside the box, but puts it high and why for a sound as gold kit remains nil nil. You know that's the interesting thing. Gomez and rowdy reaches for the ball but doesn't quite get there. Che doesn't quite make the run. Alex Roldancott doesn't quite get to a ball. All of a sudden, there's a couple of you know,
near misses where we're not quite getting the balls. And to your point, maybe Mastriani knows something and his subbin in the sixth in the you know, fifty fifth minute, and maybe Seattle needs to start getting some new energy on the field. Sometimes when you're playing in these kind of games, you might know something the other team doesn't know, and it creates doubt. Brian Spencer might want to go to his bench to cure that, and we'll give
you that bench once the sound is walk through. This attack goes from send to right and Alex Roldon skips by Gomez and Veras smashes it into the crowd, jumps over the advertising hoardings to go check on the crowd. Looks like someone got lays it by that ball. He's a mother and daughter. The daughter seems okay. Vera goes away and gives her a high five on the maybe a jersey after the game from the jersey after the games. You know, that's that's good pro Yeah, that is a good pro to check on
the check on the fan. She looks a little bit days, poor girl. Yeah, those those balls you come got a chance sometimes to respond back to the game. Alx rolled on rolls the ball back to Yama and let's get to that sound as bench's read Baker widing off that incredible game winning goal. That laser with his left foot is on the bench. Double air with a goal against San Diego in the US Open Cup, Soda Kitajara, Dylan tevers Cleveland, Oriaga, Vargas, Atensio and Montero with two goals in that
game. I'd love to see Montero or TeVeS Montero just because of what he did midweek and just that PK the last kick of the game. Just that experience. And we talk about rave Green and the exact uniform as well. Once more Terror goes out there, he hasn't changed much. He looks exactly the sixteen years right, No, you're right, And I think Freddy relishes these kind of opportunities. Sounders in possession, pocket pinched by a bear.
It was a crunching challenge by oh Had And that's the second time now it's once against JP and this time the referee is going to go to his pocket yellow carfo Hayda as a bear tried to play the ball and switch the point of attack from left or right. He was a late ball. Is Jackierson who comes across initially to JP? But I think it was that that ball across the field. It's gonna be a sound As free kick. And there's a number of yellow cards been dished out by the referee tonight. We've got
JP on our end and Ruiz glad Oviedo. I believe that's a Hayda. Yeah it was Ohad. And you know he's been a bit reckless since he's come onto the field. Yes, he's got to be a bit careful. I've been impressed with the referee. I think he's made good decisions. I think he's made the right calls. He's managed the game reasonably well. But if players don't sort of shape up, he's not afraid to pull the card
out. So four yellow cards for RSL. The single yellow card early in the game for JP as a ball with Stephen Fry decked out in all blue as the Sounders are in their rave green outfits, shooting from right to left as Obviatos steps in front of Chew, knocks it out and he comes the first move. It's gonna be Dylan Tevez and we'll see who's gonna the board. I think it's gonna be Leo Chu, who's gonna come off. It's
gonna be a lightful like spot. Leo Chu played forty five minutes against San Diego middle of the week, had another good run out, questioning Brian Schmitza potentially why he wants off and that's always a good thing, right, Pete is you know he wants to play more, he wants to impact the game and looks disappointed walking off that field. Yes, it's a fine line between how you come off the field with a coach. Coach shown a lot of
confidence in you and he expects you to perform. Bull top of the box with Rose Night plays the ball, it's Vera who steps in front, clashes into Alex Roldan and now it's RSL in transition Gomez on the right hand side. Jakison through the middle is played to Jakias and Jackson. Reagan reads the ball well uses his toe to flick it off the toe of Jakiason inside the box runs out for a RSL corner kick Pete Joey. This is where Jackson
Reagan's made really good strides a year ago. He might have actually caused a foul on that he knew he could get to the ball with a first stride as opposed to take in a second. The second may may have been a
stride where it could have end up being foul for Jackson. Sixth corner kick for RSL on their left hand side as their big men come up now Silver Glad Gomez good in the path in the air as Jakiason and Ojeda top of the box waiting for that clearance potentially or late as a referee organizes something. The some of the pushing and shoving, but it's going to be a right foot in swinger comes in top of the six headed by Silver, trickles out
for a sound as goal kick remains OURSL nil sounds nil. Pee viewing that that made me a bit nervous. Has been a bit of a lull in the game, you know. And it's one where players can switch off, right. It's a it's a corner kick, and if you're not sharp, you might get picked. You might get someone coming over the top of your back. Seattle Weather. That fine. We're an away team, but we've also discussed Brian's focus on a possession orientated team. But it's Alex well done. Pocket pinched by vera left hand sun right coming towards the end, line cuts it back to Gomez top of the box, slips under his foot, isn't able to control, and it's Ladero comes away with it deep on the sounds, left hand
side gets nicked. Linesman, the assistant referees right there, Ladero off the field. The referee doesn't necessarily have to stop it, but Ladero, being as smart as he has, rolls back on the field and forces the game to stop. Yeah, that's a veteran move right there. He come off the field. We're watching the replay now, Oh he's stepped on. Looked, now, you are a lines person. Linesman right there, you should see that that was and even literally the assistant referees saying no, but he
wasn't even looking at the foul. He was looking up. Yeah, that's one missed by the assistant referee, not helped by I'd rather referee Zach Haffe. Yeah, I'd rather have had the corner kick in the first half of the foul there as opposed to missing that one of missing that one. Yeah, but our cel now ten yards from the corner flag. Their right hand
side goes into a haydo gets past. Jordan Morris comes inside, plays the ball into ruise on his left foot, tries to find the ball over the top clear by electoral darn could have got called off potentially by Stephfriend Freybert doesn't take any chances. Ball's cleared as Ladero now flicks the ball around the corner as he stays on that left hand side, and we'll see if the sounders have made another adjustment. It looks like Jordan Morris is sing a little deeper
off that number nine. It bears shifted back up, playing a higher point as Dylan Tevers plays on that right hand side. Now it looks like Jordan Morris left as he shifts back to the left hand side Ladera back to his conventional number ten. It bears the number nine and Dylan Tevers all the way on the right hand side. As the Sounders pick up the second ball now with Jordan Morris left hand side in front of the RSL bench, good defending
by Gomez. Ladero again losing all his experience, flicks it off the ankle of the oncoming Gomez. It's gonna be a Sounders throwing remains nil nil. You know Tever's getting this chance. I thought last year he started to get some opportunity. He got a goal I think at Toronto, getting to the far post, making that run through the box. I'd love to see him
continue to elevate his experience and success with the first team. They can use that local kid from the Hawaii born and University of Washington player, But I like what he's done, and Brian Schmitzer rewards these young kids or when they do a good job and they have the right attitude and the right work ethic. It's nice to see him on the field. It is, and the sound has made a few moves this week. We've seen Justin Marriam go from
RSL to Charlotte in a trade late in the window. And then we've seen Danny Labor of course in such a good solid play of the sounds as gone out and loan to Colorado and listening to Craig Wible's comments and Brian as well, and it's gonna be a great opportunity for young Labor to get some good minutes under a great coach and Robin Fraser, for sure, I think it's a great opportunity there loaded in the middle of the park right now with Vargas
intensiou when when roll Don comes back, he's always an option in their JP right ru Snack. There's so many players in there. Danny Leva, I'm sure at first is disappointed to leave the club, but see's if he if he thinks about it, he sees the opportunity and he might be a regular
player for that team. RSL in possession, ball crosses the halfway line, goes into Jackieson, who was a substitute in the fifty fifth minute, and it's RSL in there with Ruise left foot, switched the point of attack to Vera from his left back spot, plays the ball, knicks off Alex roll Don and Yamo was able to say, but miscontrolled by Yamos, sloppy play by the normally you know, composed center back took his eye off the ball for a second. We've seen it a couple of times now, Pete,
it's gonna be an RSL corner kick. Is that the four thousand feet you no, no, no, right, heavy heavy legs, heavy legs, Yeah, exactly. I mean he just he was a little slow getting there and took a heavy touch, and you don't want to give these away.
Jakison substitute with his right foot the left hand side for RSL is going to be an in swing corner kick takes a few steps back sound as man for man, ball comes in high and long and out free Sounders goal kick remains nil nil here in Sandy, Utah nine fifty KGr am RSL nil cl nil Sounders fifty eight percent possession And as we've mentioned throughout the second half, it's a great way to try and take control and managed tempo or especially an away
team and RSL off the back of a three one win against the reinvigorated San Jose. As the Sounders have possession, a bear good touch around the corner. Now inside the box left hand side cuts it back to Jordan Morris inside the box, slices it and high wide and it's gonna be a goal kick for RSL. But Pete, that was a chance on the break in transition for the Sounders. Great ball through to Abert Aber does a really nice job of cutting it back, perfect weight on the ball for Jordan Morris and he
just just gets under the ball. It's rising up. It looks like it goes way over the crossbar, but it really only went over the crossbar about buy about a yard. But what a tremendous chance. And Jordan Morris that's too tonight that he would love to have back. He could have ten goals right now on this season and uncharacteristic really of him right there. Twelfth shot for the sound is in this game one on target. That was the bass
shot save by McMath in the first half. As Jackison comes in nudges over JP. He'll learn in the league there's a couple of players JP and Ladera being two of them that when they feel a little pressure they'll go over and
they'll like that free kick. And the sound is now in possession sent us circle as Jackson Reagan steps forward in possession, so composed on the ball, and the players have all noticed the elevation in his play this year, the consistency, the ability to eliminate mistakes, and certainly has evolved and grown in
confidence. And well, that's that's what it is, isn't it. You know what you can and cannot get away with Rosneck top of the box, Dylan TeVeS try to hit it low and hard and assistant referee puts his flag up offside the entry passed to Dylan Tevez. It's gonna be an RSL free kick. Love to see what Dylan can do if he cuts inside on that. He's a dangerous player. He's a very good goal scorer. I think he had two hat tricks in the NCAA tournament two years ago for the Huskies,
and so he can finish his chances. Well, gotta take advantage of tonight, right yep. The the the clapping and the chairing is seeing. Do me a cry. Luck put on his shirt. Two goals in the US Open Cup Play of the week in the middle of the week against the Las Vegas Lights, and now he's ready to come in. Started the game against the Sounds in early March. Had a niggling groin injury for about a month. The bull goes in behind, defended well by Aviado as Jordan Morris
gets his pocket pinched an RSL come away with it. Now in transition Rubin all the way across on the left hand side to Savaino, comes back in his preferred right foot top of the box to Jakias and nothing given by the referee was barged into for a split second Jackson Reagan puts his hands up, but nothing given by the referee, and the Sound is now in possession with Ladero and Rode tries to skip it around the corner, but it runs out of bounds. It's going RSL, throwing him from the Sound as bench.
But Pete, that was a little clumsy by Jackson, a little clumsy, big versus little. You have to be careful when it's like that. But right now I'm starting to see where ten minutes were in the eighty first minute, ten minutes to go Seattle. Those legs are getting tired, and I don't think it's from you know that we didn't have a lot of these guys playing in the game on Wednesday, And I think it's more of the elevation. I love to see this substitution coming in Danny Montero for abear in the
eighty first minute. Montera coming off couple of goals in US Open Cup plays the we were trying to calculate it joined the week. He's the play with the most goals or tied for the most goals in US Open Cup play. And as demer Krylot comes in for RSL, your sound as FC returned to the Emerald Queencasino pitch at Loomin Field to face Sporting Kansas City next Sunday, May seventh, one thirty pm. Watch the match on Fox or for free on Apple TV and listen on nine fifty KGr AM or l RA thirteen sixty
am in Spanish. The Provident Swedish pre match radio shows start at one pm. As RSL ball on the deck, it's going to be an RSL free kick their right hand side. It's gonna be Ruise with his left foot about twenty five yards from the end line, about five yards in from the right hand side touchline. As a sound is hold that line about two yards inside the eighteen yard bucks. All ten players back defending their goal as the ball comes in left foot, high and long and easily collected by Stephen Fry and
Stephen Fry has been solid. Five clean sheets so far at all at home. Impressive start to the campaign for Stephan fry Onis. Seven goals given up. As soon as that ball goes into the air, you know that STEP's gonna get it. I love the substitution of Freddie Montero. This is an absolute reward for the effort that he put forward in the US Open Cup. Yes he got two goals, Yes he's got a bit of a hot foot right now and some confidence. It's that, but it's also Freddie, you
did the job for us. I'm really proud of you. I'm going to reward you today and you got to do it again, right you gotta go get another goal. Well, certainly the sounds of feeling it and smelling it right now, here's the opportunity to break that duck. As Montera clecks the ball about thirty yards from goal middle of the field, comes back to JP top of the box with his left foot, flicks the ball inside to ladera left hand side flicks to the bat post, goes high and long and bounces
and bounces out of play. It's going to be a RSL goal kick remains nil nil here in Sandy, Utah on nine fifty KGr am RSL nil Seattle nil. Peefew that right there is exactly what Seattle needs. Good composure, good patients, right, good build up, get the numbers forward ball in the noddle of the park for RSLs. It flicks out to the right hand side to Gomez. It comes inside, walks past Kellenbrow top of the box, flicked over the top by Jakiason top of the box eighteen yards. Tries
to curl it into that far quarter, goes over Stephren Fry's crossbar. For as sound As goal kick, I'll tell you what a quick release turn shot. Almost caught Fry a little bit off. If he's a yard further out, that has a chance of dropping right in. But that's a that's a great awareness just to try to catch stuff and fright sound as fans. If sound as FC scores anytime after the eighteenth minute during a home match, you'll have the chance to win free lasic surgery from sharp Vision, modern lasic and
lens. Sign up today at sounders fc dot com slash laser focus. I could get rid of my readers. You can if you get lasi. Yes, what a great endorsement from the two of us. Huh, Well, I've got glasses on right now. As to you, yea Ladero with the ball for the Sounders left hand side. Two balls on the field, one gets flicked out of play. It's gonna be Ladero is gonna leave it for
kell and Rowe who. That's a different dynamic for the Sounders. You know, I knew Who likes to stay at home of it likes a comfort, I should say, but holds branch. Metz has evolved his defensive play, allowing knew Who to stay and Alex Roldan to go. But suddenly Keller Rose been involved up further the field at times when he's been on the field, but it's RSL in transition. Flicks over the top to cry like looking for the offside flag. Nothing given so far, drives it across and he just
goes wide. There was a hesitation. I think all the players felt that Krylock was offside. Assistant referee eventually gives it offside for RSL. Is gonna be a sound as free kick Jackson Reagan knew he was offside, got his hand up, Fry came out to and said, don't do that. Make sure you stay aware and sharp, don't give up on a play. And Crylak shows his class and his danger. But also we're watching the replay right now, Jackson Reagan, good for him, he's the last man back.
He takes two steps forward, catches Crylake off side. Veteran play kids growing up right in front of us. You know, sometimes you drop and give that kind of false sense of security and then you step right here. But it's about timing. It's all about split second timing. And you know, back in the day when you didn't have VA sometimes you get caught out right and it'd be off side, but it wouldn't be given and they'd score.
But at least now you hope, I hope you can see that obvious red line and green line or whatever those lines are as RSL clear the ball and as this and round free gives another off side, this time on the Sounders. But don't forget the connections RSL and the Sounders have. Of course, we have Albert Rosenau. We've mentioned that Freddie Wairez, of course, was
the head coach at RSL. Craig Wible was general manager technical director here at RSL as well and Kellen Rode played for a short time here at RSL as well, so sound as an RSL got that good connection in twenty twenty one, of course, when RSL came to the Sounders one in that playoff without a single shot and goal in PK's so RSL now with Jackison challenged well by Jackson Reagan towards the end line on the left hand side and the sound is
clear at top of the box to ruise twenty yards out the flex off the heels of Savaina, but it's cry Luck now who collects the ball back to Vera on the left hand side. Cry Like now left corner of the box goes back to Vera low and hard and Yema miscontrols it for a split second but clears the ball and the sound is now in transition. Tivers, going around Ladera, flicks around the corner, crosses the halfway line ball into Montera
Jordan Morrison's support. Montera keeps the ball, is able to slide, wins that ball nothing given by the referee. Tivers now switches it from right hand side into the middle into rosneck top of the box twenty five yards Ladero to the left hand side, left corner of the box. Challenge well by Aviedo flicks off Ladero. It's going to be an RSL throwing deep on the RSL right hand side, our near side, as we're looking at it, about ten yards from the corner flag. As the Sounder is now press high,
it's a right time to do it. Eighty seventh minute, eighty eighth minute right now. Either the referees cramping right now, he's making sure that his calves aren't going. So you know if Seattle at this point keep it in that end, manage the clock zero zero here progress when you consider one win, eleven losses, three ties, progress well, fifty seven percent of possession, a good number of shots on goal, twelve shots against RSL's fourteen.
You'd expect the home team to have sometimes a higher number of shots, but the Sounders are right behind with twelve. Good count, but I think it shots on target for the Sounders. The Sounders have had good opportunities in that final third. It's just that final execution as Gomez flicks around the corner, but played well by Kell and Rowe, and it looked like he was a late challenge. Looks some serious pain looks like the outside of his knee,
and you hope it's a knock versus a twist. As kell and Rowe pangs the ground in pain. We're going to see a replay here. It was Gomez was stepped over, the ball went around, and yet it was a standing straight leg and those can be just nasty. Pete, I've seen it before. I did two acls exactly like that, straight leg on the turf, pops straight up, grabbing straight for his knee. He's up on his feet, which is a good sign. Chris Cornish off the field right now.
Kellen Rose walking gingerly. Brian Schmatz is going to make a change. It looks like calling down his subs. As we get into the eighty ninth minute here in Sandy utah RSL nil, Sounders nil as Kellen Row goes down on the turf and it's such a sad sight. You hope it's nothing too serious. It's played so well again, Yeah, yeah, and that was just an awkward landing, as you say, straight leg, driven into the
ground and then he pops right back up. Reid Baker, Whiting, Riaga getting ready, Brian gonna go to his three at the back, to try and solidify this point for the Sounders, which it's the right thing to do at this moment. It's been a solid performances. Teams a bit tired, right, you can see it in their legs, and the one guy that is not tired that's covering a tremendous amount of ground is Nicol Ladero. NonStop
running, you know. But some of the whether it's whether it's the altitude or travel, whatever it is. But Seattle, I think at this moment where you know there's gonna be some stoppage time for sure, we're getting very close to the ninetieth minute. There will be at least three or four minutes. But Seattle's done well. So to get one point out of this in the big picture of a long season be a great point. Well for ltdo you mentioned he hit two hundred games for the sound Is just a couple of
weeks ago. He's the leads all active players for assists in MLS get a streak that got broken last week against Minnesota have four straight games with an assist, which tied his own record, and he was worn away from his record for the Sounds of five straight games with an assist. Certainly a great start
to the season for LTDARO. As read Baker, Whiting and Oriaga come onto the field, Read Baker Whiting, keller Row looks frustrated, understandably if there's a concern that it's something serious and the coaching staff right now helping him off the fields like JP, that's worrisome. That's very worrisome. JP. Also off the field is Oriaga and Read Baker Whiting. On the field, Kelln Rowe came off injured. JP was most likely I let yellow card, just
give him a breather. As the Sounders get set, now it's going to be a free kick for the Sounders for Stefan Fry. We're into injury time now. The extra mile stoppage time is three minutes for the Sounders into the ninety second minute. As the ball goes long, it's going to be an extra couple of minutes probably for that free kick becaus. Monterey wins the ball
to Dylan Tevers, cleared by Silver and further cleared by Ruise. He goes high and long and Yamar reads the ball well cushioned header to Alex Roldan, well played as Alex Roldan slides and clears the ball. Tevis challenges, but it's Ohada middle of the field, clecks the ball well into Ruiz switch a place center to write to Gomez. He comes inside, could tackle by Ladero, goes down early, flicks over the outside of his left foot and wins
the ball. Plays the ball into Tever's given go with. Ladero chases it down with Ojayda clips it off. Ohada looks like he got fouled. Ohda slaps the back of Teves's head and I've seen that before, and there's a yellow card and a red card, and that was silly. We saw it coming from ahead to the first minute, a gun on the field. Tevers
does eight to try to keep the ball in. It was a shove off the field from Ohad onto TeVeS. I'm not sure it's the first one, Peter, or is this second one wheres TeVeS on the ground, gives him a slap on the back of the head. And that's the kind of thing that Pablo Mastane is gonna lose his mind over in the dressing room and he may get a fine. It's just a smack. Yeah, that's just silly, silly. You gotta try to help your team. I think we might
have got that one wrong. I think it might be Ruise. Let's see, there was a challenge by Ladero, wins the ball, great challenge. Ball goes out and we'll just see this. We're gonna see who's come off. It's so hit him number six. Yeah, no, it was number seven, but it was. It was Ruise. Middle of the park. Was a late challenge. It was his second yellow and a red. But oh hey, there was also pretty lucky to get away that. As we
get into ninety fourth minute real Salt Lake nil, Seattle nil. Here in Sandy, Utah nine fifty KGr am last couple of minutes for the sound Unders now to find that winning goal would be great Freddy Monterol. Wouldn't that be rsl down a man playing with ten men now as a Sounders maintained possession to Tevez. Ball down the line, but cut out by Vera and it's rolled on. It can't keep up. Via goes by and a good tackle by Rusnack just flicks the balls able to slow the game down. Via gets away
that wriggles clear foul by Rusneck. Yellow card for Rusneck. Another yellow card given by the referee. It's now rolled on JP and rusnack All on yellow cards and of course Ruise with that second yellow with his red. As a Sounders now defending a free kick on their RSL left hand side, is this the last chance for RSL to find a win here, to get that three points to back up their win from last week. It's San Jose and the Sounders stand strong as they defend the top of that box. Glad in the
box, silver in the box. Jackison good size as well. Top of the box, waiting for the delivery to come in. Sounds try to look for that point tonight. Ball comes in, bounces once and collects eventually by Fry. It was a little fumble for split second, nervy, little nervy. It was no one was around him, but just took a hobbit right. We just saw the look on Steph's face after he distributed the ball out
to Jackson Reagan. He read the sigh of relief and there's the referees whistle to end the game tonight in Sandy, Utah, as a Sounders get another valuable point in the fight to get to the top of the Western Conference standings. Pete your final thoughts, I'll take it, I thought Seattle did a great job tonight. It was a good game. We're watching Pablo Mastriani and Brian Schmitzer having a good conversation at the end, and I'm sure right now
Brian saying, hey, great work, your team's terrific. That was a good game tonight. They're still in conversation. I think Brian Schwetz is going to be happy with the effort, the resolve, the commitment, the clean sheet, the six clean sheet, the first clean sheet on the road. They're gonna be pleased about that. They're also gonna probably looks at the video of opportunities missed. But all in all, a point tonight in this game with a history of these two teams will take it. And with that point,
the Sounders go top of the Western Conference standings with twenty points. Thank you for Jackson Felts for sorry with that. Thank you to Jacob Waldo on the board, Keiley Dunning that keeps us all on track, Kevin kay Is always for his great research and information, and of course the Seattle soccer legend Pete Viewing. Coming off of a zero zero Sounders draw with Royal salt Lake and listen, it's not a law, so I'm celebrating that the fact that the Sounders are now one eleven and four against Real Salt Lake. They're in Sandy, Utah. It's a draw, it's not a loss, and that's reason enough to celebrate.
Jackson Felts here alongside Pete Viewing and Keiley Dunning here for the postmatch show Jacob Waldo running things on our board. Thank you to everybody, including Danny Jackson. A fantastic call for Sounders and real as salt Lake. There's a lot to talk about with this game. It was about it as an exciting of a zero zero game as you will ever see. So many chances, so many moments, so many shots on goal off goal. It was just it was. It was a fast and furious match and there is so much to
talk about. Where I want to start though, is what we just heard just a few moments ago, and Danny called it there and he referenced his history. In an eighty ninth minute Callen Rowe went down. It was a non contact injury to his knee. Did not look good. He came off the field with the help of trainers. He got up on his own and looked like he was wanting to walk off, but they helped him. Um.
Danny referenced the fact that he's had acl injuries. We obviously have no information, uh no anything, you know, concrete saying exactly what happened, but pete, um, you know basically our thoughts right now with with Kellen
Rowe, and we hope it's not worst case scenario. But that was for a veteran who's now at three hundred and fifty one UM appearances or starts, I think it's appearances UM in his career, who put in a fantastic shift UM last week for the Sounders with Knew who dealing with an injury, and then and then on top of this game, starting with with Knew who's still out with an illness, UM seeing Kellen Rowe go down there just a few moments ago at UM, Yeah, that hits you, man like that that
that hurts and it stinks to see and we just hope he's okay. Yeah, it would It was awkward the way he looked as if he jammed his leg was straight and he popped right back up, and so you hope that he's all right. He's a chat with him yesterday at training and he's in great spirits. And his energy tonight and his energy last week and against Kansas City as well has been really good. I almost feel there's a renewed kell
and Row So a setback like this would be really really unfortunate. He's been through injuries, I'm sure, in his twelve years in this league, but that one looked a little bit looked awkward, and you hope that you hope for the best on something like that, and I hope that it's not going to be a long standing injury and that he can come back quick. Yeah. Yeah, it's unfortunately crazy how non contact injuries are always the worst ones. Yeah, I mean, is there any is there any rhyme or reason
to that? Well, uh no, the human body does what it does. And I mean I remember Michael Owen in a World Cup just going down the right side of the field, cutting inside and grabbing his knee as he went down the ACL. I'm not the guy that can figure out how that thing works or how it gets impacted, but you know, landing wrong and your body weight coming down wrong. I fractured my neck when I was nineteen, and it was because of the way I landed on a frozen field.
I didn't know. I had two discs that refused together and my next snapped and I walked myself off the field and end up in the hospital and it was no one was around me when I did it. So so anyway, yeah, we have these injuries in this game that we love. The crazy thing is if it is a serious injury, which we have no idea he'll want to be back. Right. If he got hurt painting his house,
he would never paint again the rest of his life. But we love to play, and so you want to do anything you can to get back. If he was emptying the garbage he did his acl, he would never empty the garbage again. But you want to go out and play as often as you can. You want to get back as quick as you can. And they've got the staff around him, so I get we can't make any predictions always that, but let's hope he's okay, really good. Quick again on
that. We have no concrete word one what happened with Kelenroe, but in if you're just joining us, in the eighty ninth minute, he took a non contact injury to his knee. Did not look good. Guy helped from trainers. But well, we'll get more information on that. Just hope it's not worst case scenario for a player who has been so valuable to the Sounders since he came home and since he started playing for this team a couple of
years ago. So hope for the best there for Kellen Rowe you know, we do need to you know, transition and talk about this match in a tough way because there is an exciting match to talk about. Um, you know, I think we saw a bunch of very good moments that the question of who's going to be our Toyota Man of the match is going to be an interesting one that we will discuss. But I'll quickly tell fans that are still time to join the Sounders FC family this year with a twenty twenty three
season membership. Members enjoy access to ticket pre sales, pro shop discounts, and invite to exclusive events. Secure your membership today by visiting Sounders fc dot com slash memberships. All right, let's dig into this zero zero draw between the Sounders and Real saw Lake Pete. As I mentioned, a very exciting game and this was not my lack of chances, tons of chances on both sides, but unfortunately this are not able to come away with all three points.
Fortunately they do come away with one and now the top of the league. So yes, you're right, and another shutout is great. You know, it's one thing to not get a goal, but when you're conceding goals and giving them up, it tends to mess up your path in the uh in the standing. So today you know they got the shutout. If I was picking man of the match, I'd give it to Stephen Fry only because he was clean. He was good inside a very few crosses. He did
come up. Actually, he came up with a couple of big saves. Um. And you know he doesn't get enough credit six shutouts? Uh now in uh are we nine games in or do we six two and two? And so you know sixty percent of your games or shutouts. I would give it to him, and um, I think he's deserving. But I think based on the conversation that we saw Brian Schwitzer and Paulo Mastriani having after the game, as long as that conversation when it would certainly wasn't contentious by any
means. UM, I think Brian was saying, that was a heck of a game. You guys played well, we played well. That was the fastest ninety minute or ninety five minute game i've seen this ship, which means it was entertaining and it was high paced for the entire ninety minutes plus. So I thought it was a good game. And like you said, Jackson, I mean that's out of out of fifteen games with RSL at RSL one
eleven sixteen game sixteen. Gonna get better at my math. But out of sixteen games, to only have one win and now four draws its progress. We'll just have to take it as it's progress. Hey, coach, can you guess when they actually did get that one regular season win? I've got it right here, you're ready. It was May twenty eighth, two thousand and one. That's twelve years ago, one day. I'd love to tell you that I knew that. I knew that in the top of my head,
but I had it. I had it written down that crazy twelve years Lamar Nigos scored the game winner, Greg and a great goal by Mario Martinez in that game too. I mean, that's that was. It was a two to one win down there, and uh, you know, oh how times have changed. But you know this, it has been a fortress for RSL again Seattle, and it's been a kind of the house of horrors for the Rave Green. But listen, at the end of the day, this is a point. And as p you mentioned there, Sounders now top of
the league. Because I am I really gonna say this, I guess I will say this, thank you Portland for beating Saint Louis because because Portland beat Saint Louis, Saint Louis got nothing out of that. Sounders jump them twenty points to nineteen points. So thank thank you Portland. I'll wash my mouth after the show's over. U. Keily, we're both, I mean we did give them. Yeah, so Keily P and I are both on the freight train. Can you make it three for three for the Toyota Man of
the match. Oh? Absolutely, stuff Fry. Seven out of ten games have been a shutout, so that's amazing. Love having a veteran goal to goalkeeper. Also love having a goalkeeper who likes to talk back there, Yeah, and he loves to talk, So definitely approve of that, especially with like young guys like Jackson Reagan. You saw earlier or like later in the match they sort of had like a discussion. I love seeing that. Now,
you're right, Kelley, that's a great point. He organizes, he has other guys doing his work in front of him, and then he gets on him. He's when you say he loves to talk, it's both. It's hey, you have got to not allow a shot from distance that Jackson did, and Jackson came back to his credit, apologized right away, no, no, today. I thought he was fantastic with his feet. Yeah, I thought balls came to him and he was picking out guys forty yards
away and pinging it with confidence. That was impressive to me. I thought, yeah, I'm very comfortable. I bet I bet Brian Spencer would say Fry was the man of the match, yep. But Toyota is a man of the match tonight. Is Stephan Fry your look of Toyotti. Those are proud to present tonight's man of the match. I will tell you you know, in this zero zero game, we were expecting we were rolling on the audio here, we're getting ready for one of your highlights for our Emerald Queen
Casino play the match. We were waiting for so many chances, so many shots, and unfortunately none of them went in. But I'll tell you that the play of the match, and I'm kind of I have a bunch of notes here the play for me, and we just got off talking about Stephen Fry in the forty fifth minute, right before the break, where we've seen moments both for the Sounders and against the Sounders where right before the break,
something unfortunate or fortunate happens. There's a really really good running shot by Rubine and he's I think he's moving to his right. He takes it with his right foot and it goes to Fry's right, so it kind of crosses in front of the goal. Fry has to dive to his right and just gets eight. I mean, like the sliver of a fingertip on the ball to push it out wide, goes out for a corner kick. It's not a
goal. I mean that fingertip saved there from Stephen Fry embodied the match for him and it was probably the biggest play that comes right before the break and gets that to zero zero at the half. So that play is the play of the Match, presented by Emerald Queen Casino, the betting capital of the Northwest. Still a lot to get to talking about this matches zero zero draw
with Ray as salt Lake. I'll tell you that Delta Airlines is proud to donate one soccer ball for every mile ran by Sounders FC players this season through Ray Foundations One Mile, one Ball program. We'll take a break, we'll come back with Pete Keiley. My name is Jackson Phelts. We thank you for listening. We'll continue talking about the zero zero draw for the Sounders coming

Welcome back to the postmatch show a final zero zero between your Seattle Sounders and Rail salt Lake from Sandy, Utah Jackson Fell's Pete viewing Keiley Dunning and Jacob Waldo on
the board. There. We were just debating coming back from break about playing taking care of business because like, yes, the Sounders, they didn't lose in RSL where they are you know now one eleven and four, so it's not a loss and they go to the top of the Western Conference with a point thanks to Saint Louis losing to Portland. So it's like, yes, you took care of business. But listen, we'll reserve taking care of business
for only wins. We aren't going to change that now. Before we dig a little bit deeper here into the zero zero game between Sounders and Royals salt Lake, really quickly, we'll look a little bit deeper ahead here. I know the Sounders have a match coming up next Sunday against SKC. We'll talk about that later on in the postmatch show. But the double header match day coming up on June third, where the Sounders are facing the Pearland Timbers at
one thirty at lumen Field. Then ol Rain is facing the Pearland Thorns and the NWSL at five o'clock also at Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at lumen Field. It's gonna be a massive, awesome day. You know, we we've seen this before and we're going to see another fantastic atmosphere coming up on June third. I'll tell you the additional tickets have just been made available for this marquee matchup given the high demand, So secure your seats today by visiting Sounders fc

Conference. But at the same time, I mean I have right now check check check check check check check check, all of great chances to get the ball in the back of the net, Lots and lots of really good opportunities for a bear, for Morris, have one for Nico, lots of lots of really good opportunities. So is it glass have full that listen? They created these opportunities and you end up with a draw, is what it is?
Or is it glass f empty? Of Listen, you create all of these opportunities, you know you gotta put one of these in the back of the net. You can't squander all of them. So glass of empty, glass have full? But for me, it's I'm gonna say glass f full, because this is the game, right The reason we watch it is because you don't know what the outcome is gonna be. Jordan Moore's had a couple of really good chances. He's going to finish those chances most of the time.
The fact that he was in the right position, the fact that two of those chances came from a halftime adjustment where they moved him higher up the field, that's a plus. But the game is that you're not going to score on every single opportunity that you have, So to me, it's glass half full. Because the other part is when when RSL had that free kick at the very very end, I'm thinking, could this be one of those where Seattle has done it to Minnesota, Seattle has done it to Kansas City.
Be based on the record at RSL is RSL gonna nick one get one in the last seconds, which will perpetuate this uh you know record that Seattle has been having on the road. So the fact that they didn't give up a goal, the fact that they created all those chances, I'm going to say it's a positive because this is the game, right Kuee, This is the game I agree, pumped up, fired up at a zero zero draw, And this is why we were at America First Stadium, which we've said
over again one eleven and now four. Yeah, that place is so hard to play at. Everyone check out Steve Zakawana and brought upons this podcast because their last episode they talk about why it's so hard to play there, and I mean, look at the Sounders record. I will say, though, I love how high our standards are that we're even having this discussion about whether it's a glass half full or glass half empty. The Sounders standard is so high that I mean an MLS to get a zero zero result, have fifty
seven percent possession expected goals. You beat them. You you had almost double their goals. We were at one point zero six, they're at point six seven. Okay, so close, but ahead of them. You know, it's just it's a great standard, great standard. Let me let me play Devil's advocate here, because I'll take the just I'll just just play Devil's advocate here in the sense that I have. I have eight checks of of balls that I think on. Let's just say the game you had against RSL here
in Seattle, the two nothing, when were the Sounders dominated. I think that you know, at least half of these go in the back of the net. I feel like, you know, there's just little things here and there. You know, a bear puts in putting a shot wide, chew getting you know, apparently fouled but not fouled in the twenty first minute.
These little things here and there. You know, you know, at the end of the day, whether you want to say there's squandered opportunities or whether you wanted to say, you know, things just didn't work out unlucky in the moment, et cetera et cetera. Yeah, you know, I do have a little bit of disappointment that you weren't able to get any of these eight check marks I made into the back of the net. I think both
can be true. You can be very happy about getting a point and be happy about you know, turning the quarter perhaps in that stadium in Sandy, Utah, but also disappointed that you weren't able to capitalize on any of those chances. But at the end of the day, I think where it leaves you once you kind of say, you know, that's the game, as Pete you were saying there, it's the game you don't always capitalize. You were able to get, you know, six goals in your first two games,
and you know, a couple against RSL. You know, you're not always going to and things aren't always going to be as easy as that. You're going to have games like this where things just work out this way. And at the end of the day, I mean, you know, Garth Lagaway used to tell me this all the time in our Sounders weekly interviews.
You know, at the end of the day, after thirty four games, it all balances out, Everything balances out, and you know you're you're eight opportunities where you didn't score in this game, it'll balance out to make sure that if you have eight same opportunities in the next game, you'll get a few of those. Yeah, I think that is really true. I think when we lost for one to at Portland, I think if that don't remember, that's that's wiped from my memory. Ever again, I got you.
We're just like so unfortunate. We all drove all the way down to Portland and I mean being got canceled. It was so weird. I did have some good lunch though, So if that did happen, and maybe I didn't, maybe it was a figment of my imagination. Yeah, had that been la FC at LAFC, we would have said, Okay, that's unfortunate. But it's because it was Portland. Right. It was a very painful loss, right, But a zero zero tie at RSO Garths right throughout a thirty
four game season, you got to pick up a point. Ziggy used to talk about it all the time, you know, he would go back and say, had we picked up this point when we gave up a goal in the eighty ninth minute, we would be one step further up the playoff thing and we'd be getting a buy in this one. So again, it's the game. We'll take the point. I know Brian will take that. And
again I thought his conversation with Pablo Mastriani said everything it said. He said, this was a great battle, absolutely, So I just checked the clock. We are way late, so we'll take a break here. One more segment here on the post match show, we'll talk about Sporting Kansas City coming up next. Following a zero zero lossyl saw lake More next on Sports Radio nine fifty KJR. So check that out at seven pm this coming Tuesday on ninety three point three KJR FM Tuesday, seven pm, Sounders Weekly. But let's talk about that Kansas City match coming up next Sunday, because Sounders are facing a team in Kansas City who we just watch the Sounders dismantle
them on the road. Pete, So now coming home, I mean, you didn't have other than Kellen Rowe, who we hope is okay. You know, the the we didn't see, you know, an injury to Leo Chu or Jordan Morris who had that spectacular four goal for assists performance down there in KC. So what is stopping the Sounders attack from doing exactly what they did to Kansas City on the road. Well, there's no pressure on Kansas City there. They have zero wins, seven losses, three ties. They're
fourteenth out of fourteenth in the Western Conference. They have three points, They've scored three goals so far in ten games. They've given up fifteen. But they so no pressure and they're a desperate team. That makes Brian Schpetz are always nervous. And there's no love loss between Sporting Kansas City and the Seattle Sounders. So Seattle will, to quote Craig Wible during his coaching day at the University of Washington, who want to stomp on their throats and so it's
going to be a Seattle's got to come out. But will Sporting Kansas City parked the bus most likely? Yes, that's what desperate teams have to do, and they'll hope for a counter or a restart. Brian will not let the team look past that. I love the fact they get an entire week off. Now they play today Saturday, they're probably flying home tonight and then they've got the whole week until the game with Sporting Casey. But you can't look past them. Peter Vermey's can fire up any team, and so you've
got to make sure if they get an early goal. You know, we saw with RSL where they didn't get a single shot and we lost in penalty kicks. Right, it's a funny game we play, so they've got to take it serious and they need to stay on top of the Western Conference. Keiley, I will be a funny game or are we going to stomp on them? Um, we're going to stomp on that well, obviously, excuse me, Please don't use that as bulletin board material anyone in Kansas City.
I'm not playing. Please don't take my words as as gospel. I do have a couple of shout outs for fans before this game, So May seventh, before the match, there will be a live podcast experience by the Pro Shop with Steve Zaquani brought Evans and Marcus Hannaman as a special guest, So make sure to get there early if you have tickets, it's to get there. Steves great, that's great, But Marcus Hanneman, Pete and Marcus have is awesome is Mark. Marcus will pull stuff out of his ear that he
doesn't know he's gonna say. So make sure your show and then on Apple TV, Um, we are welcoming back, Keith costing In. It's finally finally covering another Sounders game for Apple TV. I know obviously listen to ninety three point three Danny and Steve Um on the local dropdown option, but on Apple TV you will have Keith costing in and Maurica do so very excited to welcome Keith back. And you mentioned that in case everybody doesn't know, we've
tried to remind people for home matches. Just for home matches, if you're watching on Apple TV, you can hit that kind of icon in the bottom right where you kind of change your settings, and you can bring up the home radio broadcast for every home game, so you can listen to Danny Jackson, Steve Zachalani our home radio call while watching a Sounders home match. You don't have to listen to the national broadcasters. But we love Keith. He's
great too. All right. Well, that's once again Sounders Sporting Kansas City next Sunday, May seventh, we'll see you out there at Emond Quincasino pitch at lubin Field, Provid and Swedish premat show one o'clock kickoff one thirty. So we'll talk to you next Sunday for that, we'll talk to you a Tuesday on ninety three point three kr FM as well for Sounders weekly at seven,
so big week ahead for your sounders. Will enjoy the week ahead as the Sounder is sitting in first place in the Western Conference after tonight's zero zero draw with raylisalt Lake. Thank you to Danny Jackson for the great call. Pete viewing alongside Keiley Dunning, Jacob Waldo on the board. My name is Jackson Feltwee. Thank you all for listening and we will talk to you Tuesday and next Sunday. Have a good weekend, everybody. Have a good Sunday and have a good evening tonight
