Welcome to the Sounders FC Postmat Show. Sounders FC Soccer is brought to you by Delta Airlines, proud to donate one soccer ball for every mile rand by Sounders.
FC players this season through Rave.
Foundations one Mile one Ball program and by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of Seattle Sounders FC. The Sounders FC postmat Show starts now.
Well, there's some games you just want to forget, and this will be one of the games for the Seattle Sounders that they want to absolutely forget very quickly, move on, move forward, especially come with Portland coming up on Saturday, but one that we certainly want to forget. Here for the Sounders tonight four nothing loss at LAFC down at
BMO Stadium. For Danny Jackson and Brad Evans who had the call, certainly I know that the flight they're going to be taken back with the guys will be a quiet one back from LA to Seattle, as the team
will then get ready to face Portland on Saturday. But Jackson felt Pete Fewing will even loop in andersharstar producer for this postgame show as we react to the four and nothing win tonight FO Nothing will excuse me tonight down there in Los Angeles, Pete, We'll just start with your opening thoughts on like I mentioned, i'll say it again, a night that this club will want to forget.
Yeah, they will. We just weren't sharp, and we weren't cohesive.
We were too loose defensively closing down in and around the box. We were a little I'll say this, we were a little unlucky. The first goal is a deflection a Bobase's goal. The fourth one bounced right back to him and he tucked it away. But I've said it many times in our favor, you earn your luck. Tonight La earned their luck. Seattle deserve some bad luck. So we were in transition. We weren't very good and they were very dynamic.
They opened us up.
They had a goal called back on an off side, so it could have been five. Brad said that it could have been five, six seven. So it's one of those games that Brian Schmitzer is gonna have to get in that locker room say come on, let's go, let's go, let's cut our food, let's get out of here. And the good news is we're gonna go play Portland and we always get it for Portland. So but this one's gonna sting, and it should sting until they land at Boying Field at midnight.
We'll probably sting on the drive home for all the players too, when the guys, when the guys get in their cars and until they actually you know, hit their beds and are able to sleep a little bit of just the anger of having to drive home at two am or whatever it is after a long flide and you know you're still in a bad mood at that point.
But for sure, for sure, as the Sounders are once again losing tonight for nothing down in Los Angeles, let's run through the timeline really quick and then we can kind of continue on. By the way, this is an extended postgame show. What a game for an extended postgame show. But we're going all the way till about ten thirty tonight. We're gonna hear from head coach Brian Schmitzer coming up in a little bit. We think, as you just said,
this will happen a bit faster. Usually went with like, we haven't played Brian in postgame show is and the reason for that for anybody wondering, because we did so you know, years ago. And when we started these broadcasts on KJR in twenty eighteen, we used to always have Brian Well, that was when you know it was he would speak about ten minutes after the game ended. Now it can be as much as thirty minutes after the
game minuted. I think this one might be a little bit faster with just wanting to get out of Los Angeles. But once again, let's go down the timeline. Twenty sixth minute is when these goals started for LAFC. It's under with a goal in the twenty sixth minute, took a deflection, went to the deflection, went took the ball to the right, Thomas diving to his right, but then the ball redirected and thus it hits off Thomas's leg and goes into the back of the net. That gave him a one
nothing lead. A few minutes after that, we got a corner that was headed by Pedro dal la Vega off the crossbar that could have made up one to one, and lord knows what this game would have been if it was a one to one game. But it goes off the crossbar and thus it stays out into the second half we go, and that's where LAFC really started
to take off. Started in the fifty first minute. He Bobas on the counter a long ball from under as well passed it, kind of beat Jonathan Bell and then a good job by e Bobasi to then get past a couple of defenders and beat Andrew Thomas that made it to nothing. As Pete mentioned, there was an offside in the seventy seventh minute that could have gotten a
goal that it stayed to nothing. Eighty first minute. Just a few moments later, Denny Wowonga did get his goal, driving towards got a little bit of a lucky bounce ball bo bounces back to his foot and then off of it into the back of the net that made
it three to nothing. And then Ya Boa in the eighty sixth minute kind of, you know, pta he gave I think a nice welcome to Major League soccer moment to young Stuart Hawkins who comes onto the field a few minutes before, kind of getting some good action down there against ali Is, some good LAFC attackers and Yo Boa sort of just you know, got him going one way, came back the other way, a good play from Yeboa and that made it for nothing and really all the goals,
you know, maybe the first one obviously took a flat, but some good goals there from LAFC.
Yeah, really good goals, you're right. And poor Stuart Hawkins. He reminds me a bit of a Justin Glad who plays for RSL. Justin's now a pretty experienced professional. Stewart just bit on that one and was not able to recover quick enough and it was a tremendous finish from your bow. I feel bad for Andrew Thomas, you know, that one nicked off the inside of the post.
He had a good look at the whole goal.
Andrew couldn't cut an angle because he's right in the middle of the goal. And and yeah, Andrew tonight he was hard done a few times. The four goals against him in goal does not really reflect is you know. He made a couple of big saves as well, So that was a That was a tough game. And again we never really got the rhythm. We never you know, we missed that near post run and then the cutback we didn't. We had a lot of that in our last few games here. It was a little bit disjointed.
That's the voice of Pete Fewing. My name is Jackson Felis our producer to Andrews Hurst Andrews and I know you you're right. For Emerald City Spectrum. You do player ratings after each of the eight games, and best Pete's talking about Andrew Thomas there. It makes me kind of wonder. There's a number of players who obviously had you know, had rough days. But for Andrew Thomas right now, working behind Steph and Fry, it was a tough day for him, but not a lot.
He could do, you know, Yeah, It's just it's one of those days where if you're a goalkeeper and you let in four goals, you're never gonna be happy, right But I look at all four of those goals and I don't really see much else he could have done. Like Pete was mentioning earlier, it was a couple of deflections and a lot of them were one on one opportunities. It's not like they were savable shots by any means. So it's just a tough day at the office and
an unfortunate day for Andrew Thomas to have to step in. Usually, you know, you expect Sounders to have a pretty good defense in front of him, but it just wasn't the case today.
You know, we we spent a lot of time talking about individual guys and been so high on Danny Lava this season, and I think we can all kind of you know, pe you go first and the Naners jump in, talk about Danny Lava and the fact that you know he's gotten these limited opportunities because the dominance in the midfield from Obed Vargas and Christian rolled on. Well, Christian
stays back in Seattle for some rest. Obed's on the bench, Danny and JP get the start, and I certainly did not see enough today from Danny Lava.
I thought the first half he was good.
I thought he was clean, he picked off some good passes, He had some good picked off some good passes, and then he had some good passes of his own.
I think he likes his legs got tired.
The only way you can get match fit is to play matches, and I think both he and JP and the from the seventy minute on, I think they had tired legs. Danny miss hit one and it went out of bounds, and he gave the ball away a couple of times, and I think he's going to be really disappointed. Because in a very nice free kick in the first
half that just was a little bit wide. But in the second half again, you know, you can do all the kind of running you want to do, but to get match fit, you've got to get your miles in in the run of play in games. You know, I've seen him be more physically fit than he is right now. And that's not a knock on him, it's just that's the reality if you're not getting minutes.
Yeah, And two things I just associate with Brian Schmetzer coach teams were not the case tonight. One being clean in possession. There are way too many giveaways and poor areas for the Sounders, especially in midfield. And two like just not getting blown out defensively. And it just seemed like there was way too many opportunities uh where La was had three or four guys versus one or two defenders and it was just like, Okay, this is going to be a goal. So two things you don't really
see in Brian Schmetzer coach teams. I get it, it's a rotated team and you have three games in one week. It's still that looked like a strong team on paper and it's not what I expected tonight.
Yeah, yeah, three on three up front, yeah right.
Yeah, exactly with the three in the back.
Yeah.
At the end of the day, Yeah, the three four three uh did not work overall enough to uh to keep LFC out of the back of the net. Andrew made the good you get the good good joke for our emerald, Queen Casino play the match the final whistle because really it now allows us to look ahead to Portland. But you know, you make a good point though, there was so many LA attacks where they did have the numbers and it ended up taking really good saves off
the line. I mean, there was a number of cases where the notes in here, how you know, a bunch of opportunities for AFC to have scored in the first half, more than just that one goal where the balls ended up whether it was new who, whether it was Andrew Thomas. There was a third minute really good saved by Andrew Thomas off of a Bhobasee shot that came really close. So you know, all these saves off the line, if there was, you know, I'll play the match a realistic one.
Any one of those clearances off the line that kept LAFC only leading one to nothing at the half could be them. I'll tell you that the play of the match is presented by Emerald Queen Casino, the betting capital of the Northwest. But for the Sounders it is a
four nothing loss. We'll take a break here in the postgame show, we'll still talk about this match, talk about maybe you know, we talked about certain specific players, but I think there was a bright spot and a bright player for us to talk about here, even despite the four nothing loss.
We'll get to that.
We'll keep talking about the loss. We'll hear from Brian Schman, We'll talk about Portland coming up. A lot to get to here on the postgame show Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFM.
Now back to Seattle Sounders Sucker on Sports Radio ninety three point three kjr FM.
Welcome back to the postgame show, Jackson Feltz, Pete Fewing here as we are talking about a Sounders four nothing lost tonight down at LAFC. We're in to hear from head coach Brian Schenzer coming up in just a few minutes. Currently hearing from Paul Rothrock and Danny Lava there in the break, who were just talking about the unfortunate results, and Paul was saying how the game got too open. You know, we we kind of you know, hit on the negatives a lot in that first segment and then frankly,
there's probably still a couple more we could hit. But you know, I did think that, you know, one bright spot, especially in the first half, as we kind of mentioned it was Colonie Cozer Rienzi and Klannie has has been coming on in that right back, right wing back spot for Alex Roldan who was recently hurt and even a couple of weeks ago. Brian was saying, there isn't much that divides Kolanie from Alex and Pete. I thought it was another good day for Kilanie.
Yeah, Brad Evans talked about some of his adjustments from his last game. He didn't get beat or as exposed as much as he did in the last one, so.
He's he's a quick learner. He looked fresh all the way to the end. I thought he was fit.
Uh, you know, we just talked about the fitness for a couple other guys. I thought Colonie looked really fit and was able to keep doing it. He tries things, you know, he had a little scoop pass in the first half up and over to get it to Pedro de la Vega, and that takes a little bit on moxy and serious confidence. So he looked pretty good. I thought he was held did okay getting forward. I'd like to see him getting forward a little bit more, but he did his defensive part and that he didn't get
exposed too much. Where we got exposed was right down the middle. He was on the right hand side.
Yeah, no, I think you know, we talked about those kind of you know, last gasp defending moments in this game where it looked like LAFC, you know, as Andrews was talking about when they get on the break of you know, I mean they have the numbers, you're wondering who's going to step up and make a tackle and take a ball away, and Claonnie stepped up in those moments. Before we move forward, I want to quickly mention a couple of things. Sounders FC Soccer is presented by Providence,
Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders FC. Also that Delta Airlines is probably to donate one soccer ball for every mile ran by Sounders FC players this season through Ray Foundation's One Mile One Ball program. Well, we wait for Brian Schmitzer. I think Pedro dale Vega is an interesting topic that we were kind of talking about in the
break the three of us. What I said and Andrews, you go first, then Pete All What you respond was that at moments it seemed like it was you know, late Nicholas Ladero career moments where it's sort of just like,
you know, they're running around a little bit frantically. I want to get involved, I want to try to make something happen, and it just seemed a ton of like we just did the Delta airlines read right for about every mile ran by players this season, I felt like a lot of miles ran by Pedro dale Vega today just trying to create something on the offensive end.
Yeah, I think one thing that I think separates a little bit. There are different types of players, for sure, but I know what you mean by like it seemed like he didn't really have a ton of help around him, and he was trying to create things that maybe wasn't on the same page with his teammates. On that sense, again, rotated side, that's gonna happen, but these guys train with each other every single day. He's still and I think
Brad mentioned it on the broadcast. He has an ability that is rare in this league, and you see it in spurts. He he completes dribbles, he takes people on one on one. Sometimes you know, the decision making is a little bit if he there, I would like to see a little bit a more mature side of that. But he's still only twenty four as well, so still relatively young. I think I'm seeing the bright spots in
him more often than i am seeing the downside. And even though the Sounders lost today, he's one of the I think positives that we can take away from this game as well.
With Kilane.
Yeah, for me, I don't think he's found his connection with the players yet, rhythm yet. He's he does have bright spots, but then the consistency and sometimes you know, there was two games back and he had a couple opportunities. He took shots that just sailed over the crossbar. One Obed was right there too, Albert was right there, so he doesn't always see his next pass.
To your point, how old you say it was twenty four?
Yeah, and that starts to click in at twenty five, twenty six, twenty seven. You reach your prime, the game slows down a little bit before you. He is pushing, he's trying, he's trying to lead right and you know you have to appreciate that. It's not a lack of effort.
But today, I don't think there was last weekend. In the pregame we talked about partnerships all around the field, right, partnerships on the left, on the right, center backs, those central midfielders, the high one with Masovski and Albert underneath. We didn't have a lot of partnerships today, and so de le Vegg was trying to get something going, trying to be a spark. And you could even feel because when Kent came in he wasn't able to really get anything going. He had a couple of chances to run
at people. Rothrock had a very good run, used his body well. But again it all was in spurts today and we did get exposed in the transition way too much.
Certainly, did I tell you what. Paul Rothrock and Danny Laver are still speaking right now. I'm not sure how much longer they're going to go. Let's at least get in a couple minutes of commercials here and maybe we have to move around some breaks, but let's get a quick break in here, and then we'll come back and hear from Brian Schmitzer. Sounders falling tonight at l EFC for nothing. You're going to hear from the head coach next on Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFM.
Now back to Seattle Sounders Sucker on Sports Radio ninety three point three kjr FM.
Sounders falling tonight at LAFC four nothing a loss for the Sounders in Los Angeles, Let's head back down to BMO Stadium, where head coach Brian Schmitzer about to speak at his press conference right now.
Thank you, sir h Obviously not the result you wanted. But where did you start to see this game start to sort of unravel? Or Danny and Paul seemed to think it was really after to zero, But I don't know, did you like the way it was going before that?
Uh?
To zero? I mean, look, the second goal, yeah, kind of made it a real challenge.
Uh.
I would say, you know, look again, everything you you reflect and you think about yourself first, what.
Could I have done better? What could the coaches have done better.
You know, the first goal, Jeremiah, Uh, you know, top of the box was open. We didn't have a guy in that area. Klonny had gone out and cleared a deeper ball. Hey zeus ended up marking because they overran you know, they overran us with six guys in the box. But you know, we need to do a better job there of you know, making sure that that area of the field is covered. And so even that first goal
just seemed to typify or Night. Andrew makes that save, easy, HiT's new who in the shand goes it goes into goal.
So tough, tough start.
Uh, you know, I thought after the goal, you know, we played a little better towards the end of the second half. Look, we had the crossbar, it's some half chances here there. You know, the set pieces were good. But yeah, it seemed like coming out of halftime we needed to extend the game a little bit before we conceded again.
We'll go next to Jada Evans, Jedda, go ahead, Thank.
You, thanks for the time.
Ryan.
They also had a rotated squad, but their defense was a lot better than yours.
Is that a matter of.
Or what do you kind of credit that too, I mean because you also had you know, changes back there.
Yeah, I mean, look, was it our best defensive game? Noh? Did they do enough to keep us off the board scoreset?
Yes, that's a fact.
But again, you know, again, a couple half chances here there one to one, uh, you know Pedro the one header in the box. Uh, you know a sase the one header. Maybe one of those goes in one one. It's a little bit different. They had a rotated squad. We had a rotated squad. But their their team made the plays. That's all I can say. Jada Will, We'll watch the tape. But again, if you want to, we've
talked about the first goal and the second goal. You know, Pedro maybe dribbling a little bit, and our active defending wasn't great when the guy got in from this side of the halfway line. That's why he wasn't off sides. But you know, even the third goal, kim Key, he does a good job. I thought Klani did a really good job on bow Wonga tonight. You know, kim Key, he makes a tackle, but the ball bounce right back to Bowonga and he toe pokes it in.
So it's just one of those.
Nights and then as far as your momentum goes, does this how do you think maybe this would you know, kind of impact the fact that you guys had five unbeaten streak and you know that snapped, and it snapped in a bad way.
In terms of for now, the score line certainly isn't something that we're proud of, Jada. Nobody wants to take four goals and not be able to put something up on the other end. We'll again watch the tape with this group of guys that came out, and the expectations are is that this group, coaching staff and players, all of us together will have a good game plan for Portland or our drival and you know we'll go down to Portland and try and collect some points.
Ninko moreto go ahead, Yes, broon, thank you for your time.
I was just curious in terms of, obviously you've been working with both the fourth two three to one and the three four three or three four two one, But going back to that today, how much was that trying to kind of match up a little bit what LAFC gave you with the four to three to three and or the personnel you were kind of throwing out today.
I just thought the three four to three matched our personnel a little bit better. We had had success against the LAFC with that formation, so that was the reason behind it.
Obviously it didn't work.
Second half we changed the four to two three one, and I think we took at least one goal out of that formation.
So you know, neither formation seemed to work tonight today.
You also starred Osa said Rosario. First start, just your takes on him. Seemed to have a hard time just getting on the ball, but maybe a lot of that had to do with the lack of services into him as well. But just your over thoughts on his performance.
Yeah, I mean, look, it was a tough outing to put him in a game with a rotated squad against a good LAFC team at home. My expectations for him they were in line with who he is, where he's at in his career. I thought he did okay in some moments. Obviously there's some things that I'm going to show him on the film and he'll get better.
But you know, big.
Body, big body got some good starting points, but he just needs a little more seasoning.
That's all said. That's next before follow ups, So go ahead, ask your question, coach.
It doesn't seem so by the result, but to me, it seemed like the gap between the Saunders and the l A f C is smaller than last year, or it actually disappeared. How did you feel about the game, because it felt like at certain point if you Pedro Heather had gone in, that you had been the game, so that the result teems a little bit and balanced. And then what you said about Stuart Hawkins and his his first game.
So I'm sure Steve, Steve Toronto thought the same five to two when he played us up in Seattle. I'm sure he felt the same thing because I agree with you the difference between the two clubs certainly up in Seattle and here, certainly there was a difference in the score line. But I think the teams are easily matched.
I think it's a good rivalry.
I think, you know, I see he's obviously a big team and we're a big team, and you know some of the games in the playoffs last year.
I mean it's it's a good rivalry.
So the outcome of this game, we're going to try and move past it quickly. But I agree with you that you know, the ball drops a little differently here, we make a play here, the game could be a little closer. I'm not saying we could have won, but certainly it could have been a little bit closer.
And then Stuart.
You know, it was a tough you know, I talked about Asase coming in and starting a game, but it was also a tough assignment for Stuart to come in when he did, because you know, the game was really stretched, and you know, he made a couple of plays and he looked pretty composed on the ball, so overall I was pleased.
Thank you.
We will circle back for a couple of follow ups. I see two hands up, so we'll go to Jeremiah next, go ahead.
John, Yeah, Steph and Christian didn't make the trip. I guess what is there? Is that just rest or? Is there something else there?
Christian had played the most minutes on the squad, and Staph was a midweek and he's an older goalkeeper. And Andrew is the you know, goalkeeper of the future, so that's the reason for the decisions.
I see more more hand up, So Nico Moreno wants to close this out.
Thank you? Another maybe question about health? H Yeahmark kim Off in the second half was Dad because of anything physically or was that just a decision there.
Look, there were planned substitutions in this game, the IMR and kim kihe being one of them, Stephen Christian, you know, seeing which one of yeseus and Pedro which one was gonna go a little bit longer shorter depending on what the game like in Portland is going to how we're going to start. Ryan Kent not playing back to back. We don't know enough about him. Paul Rothrock has had heavy minutes. We left him on. Maybe he comes on
as a sub for Portland. So there were certain things throughout the game as the score line got, you know, increased, that we're looking at for Portland.
That's how coach Brian Schmitzer, following the Sounders for Nothing lost tonight at LAFC Pete. That's your good friend. Just very quickly takeaways from what Brian Schmittzer had to say.
Well, we talk about him not getting too high or not getting too low. This is a kind of loss that a lot of coaches would just be Caleb Porter might unravel and something like this, blame the referees and blame whatever. But Brian focuses on the next one. And if I'm a player playing for Brian, he doesn't throw anybody under the bus.
He doesn't, you know, point fingers.
He even Stuart Hawkins is going to feel better after hearing what coach said about his performance as to how he felt walk off the field. So he's a great man manager. There's a reason that this team has more points than any other team since two thousand and nine.
And so you know he's.
He acknowledges and takes responsibility. And then you can already feel that they're getting ready for the next one.
Absolutely well, it wasn't tonight, but this season, when the Sounders win, you'll win a free Mike Chick in the next day, exclusively in the McDonald's app with any minimum two dollars purchase down on the McDonald's up today and check out the deals waiting for you. We'll get one more break here and we'll come back and talk about the Portland Timbers.
Ahead.
Sounders are head to Providence Park for a game on Saturday. We'll talk about Seattle Portland next on Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFM.
Now back to Seattle Sounders. Sucker on Sports Radio ninety three point three kjr FM.
Sounders falling tonight at LAFC final score for nothing as the team is now traveling back from Los Angeles and they're going to start preparing for what's ahead on Saturday, as they are headed down to Portland to face the Timbers at Providence Park this Saturday.
It'll be a six thirty kickoff Provident.
Swedish premat show starts at six o'clock right here Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFM, folks. You can also watch it on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app and listen in Spanish language on l Ray thirteen sixty pete. This is a very up and down Portland Timbers team. They can score a lot of goals, they can give up a lot of goals. They are certainly lethal in their attack, lots of different weapons. Just saw him in the Open cups. Certainly did not have their
full throttle attack in that game. But obviously not only is that the team's on the field, it's the rivalry and everything that goes into it. Sounders beating the Timbers in Portland last year with a Rollery dia As winner in the fiftieth minutes. There's a lot built into this from everything, not only in the last year, but since night the seventies. It's gonna be another very fun atmosphere at Providence Park on Saturday.
It really is a fun atmosphere, no question. And they have a lot of weapons, you know, Mora, Santos, Kelsey Moreno, they got guys who can score goals, Rodriguez, and then they got Diego Chara and I you know he's there, Ausieu for sure.
I mean he is.
He's kind of the backbone thirty nine years old. You probably want him as a teammate. You don't really like playing against him, right He draws a lot of fowls or gives a lot of fowls, but he's kind of there. He's the guy that sets the tone for that squad. The teams are similar in goals for and goals against and record.
You know, we had a run.
About two and five years back where you know, the winning team was the visiting team, right right, so you almost wanted to be Those are some spectacular games where you know they they would come here and thump us. I remember we did the Champions League banner and I think they beat us five to two.
And I don't think Brian Schmetze. I don't think.
I don't think it was that bad, but I know that Jackson o' reagan did take a red card, a yellow right at the end of the first half, a yellow at the start of the second half, and that basically just you know, very.
Young, right, you know, get Stuart Hawkins today and you say, okay, there's you've seen the growth with Jackson. We don't see that happening very often. But I know Brian and a few others did not like the banner being raised before the Portland game.
It was sort of a in your face.
And there was a time when Portland had a a billboard right off Highway ninety nine that said you know, uh but it was Portland, uh, Soccer City.
USA or something like that.
So so there's been you know, no, you know, Roger Leveck getting chopped down in a US Open Cup game by I think Taylor.
Roger Leveck who he's either from or played in Portland.
Well, he was here forever. He's from Portland, Maye.
Portland, Maine.
Yeah, he would, he would prefer you, which is clearly which is clearly the best and better Portland.
Yeah, agreed, agree.
You know, I've just spent some time. It's a cool little city. So but you know, there's just been some fun. Well when you say.
When you say cool little city, you're talking about Portland, Maine.
I'm guessing, yeah, there you go. Good recovery. Yeah yeah, uh yeah.
This is so My point on all of I've just given you is you just don't know who's gonna win and who. And you're right, Portland's been a little bit up and down. We've been up for four games and this one we took a thumping, and so now we're on a little bit of a down. And but again, as soon as those guys get food in them and get on the plane, their thoughts will start. They'll start as they fly closer to home, they'll start thinking more about Portland timbers.
Yeah, super quick. But I you never want to lose four zero like you did tonight. But I think the best time that it can come is right before a rivalry game. It kind of gets you the kick in the point. But a little bit, guys, we can't let that happen on Saturday. Yeah, so we need to make sure that we're up to standard.
And I get it.
Some part of it's part of the rotation and all that stuff. But yeah, I think if you're gonna have a ton to do it, it's now.
Because you look at the it's a great point and you look at the guys who were on the bench, and you know who are going to be, you know, likely starting at the Timbers Ryan Kent, who's coming off of an incredible start down in Houston, where I mean, my goodness. You have Obed Vargas who was on the bench, Christian roll Don who stayed at home, Stephen Fry, You think about kim Ky he started on the bench today, Mazowski who will be back there in the starting lineup.
You have Alex Roldan who will be back in so many I would also you extend it as well Albert Rusnak who came onto the field, but I think that he'll be in line to start. So everything is set up really well. I think for the Sounders to have rested legs. And it's a Timbers team that, by the way, played tonight as well. It's not like this Timbers team got a full week off. They played tonight in Salt Lake.
They got a zero zero result, so they did get away result there in Salt Lake tonight and just taking a look at their lineup and what Portland started tonight.
