Beautiful wonderful golfing you can do while watching the Sounders match Ray Foundations here.
It's gonna be a really fun time. So make your way down to Flastic Pub here and Southlake Union to watch the game right here with us. Say hello, shake Pete Fuing's hand. He'd be happy to do. So we are here four pregame, halftime, postgame Danny Jackson, Steve Zakwani their Frisco, Texas to see the Sounders facing FC Dallas here tonight. But gentlemen, there's a lot to break down in terms of this match. We didn't have a match last weekend, so the Sounders do have a little bit of added
rest six matches to go. And it's funny. Were talking about it this morning too, and to kind of continue the conversation, and Steve was talking about it, the fact that the outside narrative, guys, has been so negative and it's so funny because in some ways you could say it's deserved. The team should have taken more points in the early part of the summer. But on the other side, there's second place in the Western Conference after a
five point week where they got to win in Austin Dragins, Portland. You know that that's the last game the Sounders played. So you know, there's these two sides of this coin. And Pete will start with you to get your kind of two cents on the narratives surrounding the Sounders right now. And how no matter what you know, who says what, who says where the end of the day, this team right now is second place with a really good chance to secure at least a couple of home playoff games come playoff time.
Well, there's such high expectations for this squad and particularly for this group of players. This is a group of players that have raised some cups and had some tremendous wins, and it hasn't. They haven't been playing as they would like, as coaches would like, But you're right, they're in second place. The crazy thing is it is a tight race from number one to number seven. You know, Saint Louis has got forty eight points on twenty
eight games, but then Seattle all the way to Minnesota. It's forty one points for Seattle to number seven Minnesota, and Seattle's on twenty eight games. Everyone below them is twenty seven or twenty six so it's still a very tight race, but yes, it is funny. I had a long conversation with Brian Spetzer a little while ago and at the end of it I was like, hey, you guys are in second place, and he's like, I
know, I know, but no one is. No one is satisfied with where the team is because they haven't been playing the way they would like. Being up to nothing with Portland at home and then giving that up that was felt like a loss, right. I think even Michelle Lutga afterwards thanked Brian Schwetzer and said it's hard to talk after a loss, and Brian agreed, and we're looking at each other. I know you guys, you type but so so, but I'm with you your opening line about you know, this
is a much more rested team. I think they all know that now six games to go, four on the road to at home. Time to go. But they're in a good spot. So but yes, second place.
You look at any other team in the MLS besides Saint Louis. Would they would change with the Sounders, Yeah, diego, they would change with the Sounders, no questions, No, definitely, And I think you know, Brian told us to they right before they match, than the expectation internal is so high, right, and how like these group of players are expected to not only win every game, but also to win championships. And I think even though it's a second place and as you mentioned, Pete is really in
a good position, but Branch that sly expects more from their players. But I think coming these like six games that are left before the playoffs, now the time to really, you know, show what you're worth. Right even though you Sounders have started really strong the season, then I would say in
the summer, you know, they haven't been great. But I think now it's still in the second place for one points and you have you know, you have all the direct competition LAFC that also hasn't played that well in the last few few matches. So I think it's a great opportunity for the guys to to go today well in Dallas, to have a you know, a staple game, especially after against the arrival that they have you know, a good record right against they do. Indeed, we'll get to that coming up
here in a little bit. But you're absolutely right, Diego in the sense that nobody really wants to win the West right now. LAFC has had so many chances to just go way up on the table and they've just continued to decline that opportunity with various losses and draws and not picking up points where they should. But for today's match, it is Sounders against FC Dallas who are clinging just barely to a playoff spot right now as well down there in seventh.
Let's take a look right now at this match. Let's dive in. Let's get to the delta. Starting eleven for the Seattle Sounders peat viewing Brian Schmetzer puts out a pretty darn good lineup today. Stephen fry En goal your captain, Alex roll Don you're right back. Gomez and Drade and Reagan your center backs. Baker Whiting will be your left back in front of that back for JP Vargas on the right hand side, Morris Rustneck on the left.
Ladero will sit right underneath Raoul Ruidiaz and then for the Sounders bench and includes Stephen Cleveland, Javier or Yaga. Knew who should mention? Knew who it was joining the team after an international duty in Cameroon, so knew who is going to be able to be come off the bench as a substitute for this match. Also josh A Tensio, Ethan double Air, Paul Rothrock, Freddy Montero, a Bear, and the moment you've been waiting for. Yes,
Christian rolled On is back. He is on the bench and available for head coach Brian Spencer tonight. And that is fantastic, fantastic news. Quickly, you're provident Swedish team health report. Kellen row out the right quadsdrain. Christian rolled On was questionable concussion protocol. He is in. Cody Baker was also questionable for concussion protocol. He is out. Quickly, Let's take a look at Dallas the side. Diego, what is FC Dallas putting out tonight?
Yeah? This is what Nique Steez he's putting on the field. There's there's I would say one surprise, but let let's go with Martin pass goalkeeping, then line of four with junqua Ibiaga Martinez and Faa fun Meatfield. I would say a triangle of three with Kenyon Bumm call and yet I'm indeed this Spanish
and also on top we have Jadro, Brien Freia and Polariola. I think that we were talking about this before before the program, Jackson, you know that Tafari, right, he's not starting, but it's still like it's a good lineup. Also, Dallas is really strong at home and especially you know, I think today's as warm as it usually is, but it's it's still a you know, a heart filthy play. And tell us there's a lot to talk about with Dallas and especially in the Kosy Tavari not playing in this
game. We're not it's not starting in this game. We'll talk about that and specifically him here in a little bit because he all has a Seattle connection as well. We'll get to that here a little bit later on, but we got to talk to some Seattle sounders. I should quickly be noted I mentioned the players who are out for injury there with Cody Baker, Kellen Rowe, Leo Choose also out. He was suspended for this match. He drew the second yellow. He took the jersey off against Poland after scoring, got
the second yellow in the start of the second half. He is out because of red card suspension. So he's out. That's why Morris is on the right and russ That is over on the left. So but Pete viewing, I mean, let's just break this lineup down. There's obviously the little wrinkle of of Read Baker Whiting starting a left back. Christian Holdn's on the bench.
I'm really liking what Brian Spencer was doing tonight. Well, it's a big week, right, We've got three games in eight days, all three on the road, and so being able to feather a Read Baker Whiting in knew whose flight was a bit delayed. I think maybe we see him later in the game, just to get him back acclimatized with the team before the
next one. But yeah, it's a very good lineup and I think tactically they'll let Read Baker Whiting go, but his number one priority is to shut things down right for all, He's got ten goals up front for them, so it's staying home. But he will. He has been given the green light, which I love this about coach Schmetzer. He will let the young guys get themselves forward as needed so that they can get involved and have an
impact on the game as well. So yeah, it's it's good for him and it's again it's another one where one of our young guys coming through the system can come in and play for the team. You know, Cody Baker might might have been the choice. He's out right now. He's also in concussion protocol as well. But that's a good lineup. And you know, the good thing is, it's so funny to think this Jackson Reagan will help
keep him home when needed. Baker Whiting right, So now we've Jackson Reagan's gone from a kind of a kid getting his time last year to now, in my opinion, being a full on, almost veteran player. And read Baker Whiting is right footed, and he's primarily been the right sided player. It should be mentioned, and I spoke with Wade Webber to come into finance head coach midweek, who was talking about this kid may be right, but he's scored all of his goals with his left foot, and he's hit bangers
with his left foot. He's an outstanding left footed player. So being able to play both those fullback spots very key for him. Being able to play the left back spot. But Diego, I want to talk to you about the strategy involved. And we talked to Brian Spencer about this specifically because and he mentioned it too. Reid's gonna get high a few times in this match. When he goes, we know Alex Rodand's gonna get up the field.
That's how he just instinctively does things so and the way they had this designed here in the four two three one kind of wrinkled formation. But the interesting thing is when Read goes if if Dallas hits him on a counter, the way that they'll defend, as Brian talk to us about it is two blocks of two where it's Obed and JP who have to have a good read on this game, and then Jackson Reagan and Yamagomazanrati as the lower block of two.
That's an interesting defensive set that I'm not sure we've seen in quite a while. Yeah, I know, it's really interesting, right because one of them would say the biggest strengths of FC Dallas is how they play so vertical in a counter and the transition and even at Homed right, they're they're used to not even having you know, possession of the ball, but in those
corners are super quick, right. I know Alan Dalasko rights not starting today and he's a key player the Argentinean but but steal they head be half Farreeda who's been just killing it at home singles. But I think Ovid and Joe Polo are going to have the biggest task right because not only recovering right either two blocks of two how to record that ball in the center mean because after
that leave they pass that that first line of defense. Then you know you have speed versus you know, Yaymar and Jackson Viden who are not as fast, right, and that that could be dangerous for the Sunders setup. Red Bulls New Germany not Red Bulls New York. Red Bulls Germany use this tactic. We adopted it, I think in twenty sixteen or seventeen. But Seattle,
it's pretty easy. You just slide over, right, So if one goes up, everybody slides over, and that means Alex Rodn and Jordan Morrise tuck in a little bit, and it's it's a way to get someone forward and then you and then you also keep the ball on that side right. So if it's our right side, we want to not let them come down our left are their left side, we want to keep it on their right
side, excuse me. So, So if that's the case, and it's a real easy shift and veteran players, these guys will pick that up pretty easy. But it's based on your personnel, right, and you've got it. The two JP and Obed they are very much like that. And then the same Bergomazendrodi and Reagan. They suit that very very well. So I like it. And again, you know, we're coming into the end of the season and we're getting another way to play to be successful. That makes
it difficult for all our opponents. It is interesting because it will require JP and Obed to both read the game well when when Reid goes, they do know that they need to kind of have that set up ready to go on the defensive end to go against the counter. But it should be mentioned Christian Roldan is also on the bench. We'll see how that factors into the second half. We'll bring him up in the halftime show as well. Well.

It wasn't the Internet, and it wasn't the Warehouse Club, but it was Video Only. It'll be a fun night here at Flastic Puppets, Southlake Union. Well, let's get into our Sharp Vision opponent Alec for tonight's match where the Sounders are in Frisco, Texas to take on FC Dallas. Dallas currently this season nine
ten and seven ninth place in the Western Conference thirty four points. That's seven points behind Seattle but for second place, but only four points from thirteenth place, where La Galaxy are currently sitting in thirteenth. So there's a very thin line to fighting that Western Conference Right now, Galaxy, Right now, where were in second to last place, could easily pop up and get a playoff spot. It's just a wild wild West this year. You may remember Seattle
and Dallas played back at Looman Field just two months ago July fifteenth. That was a one one game that was an own goal for Dallas, and then Kamungo scored for FC Dallas and he is not available for them today. Since then, Dallas has a win over Austin loss again Saint Louis Draggins Atlanta a couple of weeks ago, all of which came outside of a League's Cup run where they got to the round of sixteen before Lionel Messi struck and beat them
in the round of sixteen. So Dallas has been doing a lot of work since we last saw them. But Nicosi Tafari guy Seattle University connection, he's out today for Dallas. That doesn't mean, though, that we don't have to worry about what else they can bring, especially one guy in the offensive end. Well, you're right, but this is a team they they do not have a lot of goals. They've scored twenty nine goals in twenty six games, so and ten of those one player, Yes, exactly, So
in the scouting report. You know that's sometimes where you say, hey, Jackson, you front him and I'll sit behind him and just don't let him get the ball. That is a good tech at to your point, diego about that counter attack that Seattle has to be cognizant of the counter attack. But yeah, too far, he's done well on the you know, he's a big body and he gets forward on corner kicks. I think restarts has been where he's picked up his three goals and got a couple of assisties at
handful. He's very athletic, but he's not on the field tonight, and so Seattle just really has to contain. You know, it's it's kind of like the scouting report against Seattle as well. They make sure Morris doesn't get through the box or Ruy Diazon doesn't get open. But really Seattle's just gotta walk down the one right and they it's crazy to me that that this team has only gotten with the power the firepower, that they have only gotten twenty
nine goals and twenty six games. Well, and diego you with your Apple broadcast, You've seen haus Fur a number of times and he ten goals on the season. I mean, nobody starting for Dallas tonight has more than two, but hasus Fir is a handful. Oh definitely. And I think, you know, to Pitt's point, how you need to shut down fat right because he did not only scores goals, but he also creates play, right he if he if he's not receiving the ball, he'll go back to the
midfield and try to create a play from there. So I think it's gonna be you know, a team effort of not only covering, you know, on the defense, but also in the midfield with Ovid and Joel Pollo to really shutting him down. I think also one big loss today is Alam Belasco, who's having a great season. He's a you know, a youngster twenty one years old, played for first time, well he was for Argentina right
playing the the qualifiers for the World Cup. And not having him definitely, it's I would say it's a good sime for It's it's a good sign for
the sounder Soult because he's also super dynamic. In similar note to tiagual Mada is that kind of player who also loves to possess have the ball, but also has you know, knows how, has a lot of vision to assist players, but I think the key here is really shut him down and also making sure cutting those plays that Nico Est to his team love right in the count, in the counter and the transition too, because in open play, the last seven goals that they scored were an open play, right, So
that says a lot should be mentioned. You mentioned their head coach, Nico Est should mention he's a disciple of Greg burr Halter. He was an assistant under ber Halter Columbus, then was an assistant under ber Alter with the United States men's national team to win Dallas's head coach since twenty twenty two, so he is, you know, has those kind of burr Halter mechanisms built into his team. There. Names that you probably have heard before should be mentioned.
Paul Ariola one goal to assist this season. For people out in Dallas, they certainly were expecting more from him. Paxson Palm McCall zero goals, one assist. Once a heralded prospect, it's supposed to be a really tremendous player for the United States. He has certainly not advanced the way anybody in Dallas wanted him. To so forth Dallas and I really we will see if they can shut down, if they can shut down Haysu's fair. I wonder
what has left for Dallas to kind of hit Seattle on offensively. But I will say nineteen of their twenty nine goals have been scored at home, and Dallas is home tonight. Let's switch it up and let's get to our Sunders FC players to watch. I'll quickly mentioned Finance upon Alec was presented by Sharp Vision, Modern Lasic and Lens, the official Lasic provider of Sounders FC. Be viewing Sounders FC player to watch? Who you're looking at. We've got
six games to go. I'd love to see Ruy Diaz get one right. He got one against Portland and we need to get him going right. Jordan Morrise is pretty confident with his abilities, but if we can get you know, a two pronged confident group in the last six. So it's Ruy Das for me and if Rusneck and Morris Ladaro can get him the ball in the
right spots, let's get him going. I love it. I'm gonna have Joel Polo how crucial looks is going to be in the midfield not only today, in today's match, but also in the other two matches that they're gonna play away, right, So Joel Polo is that experienced player who brings a lot to the team and also if he's on his day, then the Sounders can definitely get the three points. So we got to talk about these things
before the segment starts. J JP was mine, you know, honestly, no, and we kind of talked about in the previous segment the idea that when Red goes and I'll make read bigger minding my player to watch because when Reed goes, their JP and he's the veteran guy of him and obed their knowledge and their feel of the game to be able to make sure that Dallas can't counter on and make sure I mean, ariye all still a talented player,
and Ferreira is immensely good over the top making sure that those lanes get shut down and you aren't able to find a Ferrera on a one on one. And you know those two, those two holding the field, I think that's I'll even go opd That'll be very very crucial. Then I beat really quick. My player to watch from the bench is Christian Roldana. I think that's beautiful. It's great to have christianer hold On on the bench tonight as
he's available for head coach Brian Schpenzer. We will see how early he makes his appearance. Well, we are just about fifteen minutes away from kick at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. Well, let's look at overall the history between Sounders and Dallas Seattle leading this series. He's fourteen eight and nine in the regular season. You may remember just a couple of months ago these two teams
played to a one one draw. Dallas got an own goal. Kamun Goo scored for Dallas. He is out today with an injury, but now they are back here in action tonight in Frisco, Texas. Let's get to our keys to the match. Diego. What are you looking for? I'm looking for a Sounders a team that's gonna be really intense from minute one, trying to get that possession of the ball to get it out of FC Dallas feet.
I think I FC Dallas will have definitely some chances in the in the counter and it's in the transition, but I believe that the Sounders, with the line of they have and in the midfield, they can shut them down. If FC Dallas is one of the teams that usually they don't score a lot of goals, as I was mentioning before, but they usually score in the second half, right, I believe it's like twenty nine of their twenty
sorry, twenty three of the twenty nine goals or twenty seven. It's it's been in the second half, right that they definitely it's a team that doesn't scar Loveboy the second half, you know, Nicotis, you know, with all the changes usually push us to not either win the game or at least tight or you know, try to get it back. So it's a great point. And Seattle has to play ninety minutes today, so in the second half they've got to continue to stay sharp. The notes I put down is
a play ninety minutes right against Portland. Have we got a third goal and we had two, right, it would have really put that game away completely. But you have a two goal lead, it still creates some doubt. Right now, this team needs to really bury a team. But they gotta go one goal and then they gotta keep pushing for the second one. Restarts,
no lapses in both directions. They Seattle's been good on restarts. Portland the real ideas goal was off a restart, So no lapses, be sharp on the restarts, and then it's got and again it's got to be a ninety minute game, and this won't be an easy one. But when you look at it, with these three games in eight days, if you can get three points today, come home, go to a Colorado team that you know they're under a new coach, right, that would be the right time
to get after them as well. So I think we learned from the last segment of three games that we could have gotten a few more points out of it. Let's get three points today well. place Sounders take on ninth place FC Dallas. Dallas come into tonight's game barely hanging on to the final playoff spot, which is four points separating ninth and thirteenth place in the Western Conference. Results in the three games since League's Cup of being emblematic of their twenty twenty three season form one win, one tie, and one loss. Head coach Nico Estevez is looking for some consistent form from his injury hit squad and an end of season run to mirror that of
twenty twenty two. For the Sounders. They come into tonight's game unbeaten in three games, but still bruised from a tough result against Portland in their last outing, up two Anillo a half time. Sounders were in control until an yellow for Leo Chu early in the second half gave Portland the lifeline they needed. With six games remaining and four away from home. Brian Schmitz will need the mental discipline from all his players as they enter the final running and position
themselves for the playoffs. My name is Danny Jackson alongside former Sounders winger Steve Zakwani for the core tonight. Before we get to Steve for his initial comments and thoughts on the game, Let's give you the delting starting eleven for your
Sounders in Gold. Stephen Fry at back four, Alex Roldan and the right, Yamar and Jackson Reagan in the middle, and then Read Baker Whiton coming in on the left hand, Cipher Knew who who arrived late home from international duty, Obert Vargas alongside Jao Paolo in the middle, a slight tweak in the final third, Jordan Morris on the right, Nikoladero in the ten, and then Albert Rosnack slides to that left hand side after the red card suspension
for Leo chw and then new number nine Raoul Rudiaz up front for Dallas. They're gonna bear a four three three pars in goal, a back four of Jen Ibiaga Martinez and far Fan. In midfield three of Pumic Carl Keyon and Ila Ramendi and then an attacking three of Obrian Ferreira and Ariola. So Steve, as we get kind of keyed in for this final run. We've heard Brian Schmidtz to say a few things to us in our production meetings, say to the press, what's the focus tonight's game and how they're going to get
that result. Yeah, I think for the sound is this taken encouragement from that first fifty three minutes or so against the Portland Timbers. Many of people have said the team looked like the Sounders we saw early in the season and maybe the best stretch of football they've played all years so far, and so I think, yes, the final result wasn't great, but the confidence should be there, So start on the front foot goal for the win. I
think that is the team that's they're to be beaten. And I think if the Sounders are themselves today, you know zis made always say it's about us tonight, and I think that's the miss from Bran Schmitzer and I think that's why his community came to his players. And if you get that tonight it's tough to see the sound is not getting a good result. Well yeah, injury ridden team for the Dallas, missing some really key players for them.
Velasco, their Argentinian player, got an injury in international duty, as who was called up for the Argentinian national team for their game down in South America. Kamungo, who has been one of the top goal scorers in the year, he's out with the shoulder injury. And then Hayeseu's they're right back gone ACL earlier in the week. And so for Dallas it's about grinding out results. As we mentioned, four points between them and the Galaxy in thirteenth place
and an important home win for them a Toyota Stadium. Dallas have been strong and certainly for the Sounders tonight, they're gonna have to get out and get out strong. Sounders wearing their green shirts, green shorts and green salts attacking the goal to our left as they get going with Dallas and red shirts, navy blue shorts and blue socks attacking the goal to our right as Martinez picks
it up. And see we've seen they came in on the beginning of the middle of July, who was an own goal by Juanqua to get that goal, but that was a reintroduction for Jordan Morrison rolled on and we have to say Christian rolled down big back on the bench tonight is a huge lift for this squad. I'm in it's hus Danna you said it, and I think
it's almost going to feel like a new signing. He's a player who does so much for his team, adds so much just on the pitch off the pitch, and having him missing for so long, he's an emotional leader now for the team under the more consistent players in recent years of just having him there in and around training, in and around the locker room and with the opportunity to play maybe you know, anywhere from fifteen to thirty minutes to night
depending on the game. It's massive. We've missed them a lot this season, but to have him now for his running and then the playoffs, you can't ask for a better player to be coming back. At this point,
they'll scrapping this first couple of minutes to get bored. Given away by Brosnack middle of the field, O'Brien rolls it across to the far left hand side to Marco Farfan who picks it up fifteen yards or so from the end line, closed down by Jordan Morris back to help his defending, goes all the way back to key On in the midfield, back to stabilize that central areas.
We mentioned a couple of players out for Dallas, but also some introductions in this August transfer window, one of them being Illramendi, who's the experienced Spanish player. Most recently we railed Socidad played some time at rail Madrid won the twenty fourteen Champions League. So looking for that experience and that winning mentality to get a result for Dallas tonight. As the ball rolls over the Sounder's end line, it's gonna be an early corner kick for FC Dallas, and
I think the first five to ten minutes is important. You know, you don't want Dallas to build any kind of momentums or things that set pieces, that has playing balls in behind the Sounders back line. You've gotta be careful of that. You never want to get a home team building any sort of downhill momentum. But for Dallas first few minutes or corner kick, they would have wanted this sort of start. It's gonna be an in swinging corner kick
on their left hand side and the far left. As we're looking at it, as Pumic card provides some support from behind, it's gonna cliped into that near post area. Fliked on ball bounces around, Junquer knocks it in.
It's cleared eventually by the Sounders as rail ruy Diaz closes the ball down Well goes all the way back to their goalkeeper Pas who's back in the goal after getting a red card suspension in their last game against Atlanta, got an early red card in a twelfth minute against St. Louis and they're two one loss because the Sounders pick it up middle of the field Ladero into ruy Diaz off a goal from Portland. That was the first goal for over seven hundred minutes
for Raoul. And I think Brad Evans has said it a few times in the press and then your podcast, Steve. He was pumped up for that game. It was just unfortunate with the red card he had to come off earlier. It was and I think, you know, speaking in terms of Christian Road Dan coming back is what I think getting an inform Raoul at this age of the season. I mean, there's very few strikers who've been better than he has been in his time in Major League Soccer. I think for
the Sounders that's a massive plus. It seems Hungry sees more of it. It seems a lot fitter than at any point in this season so far. So again, just a massive positive sign for the Sounders at this stage of the season. Sounders in possession of balls rolled out from center this near side. They left a little one touched by Ruy Dia by Saladero flicks the back post of Jordan Murray's heads. It bounces around, eventually cleared by FC Dallas.
We'll loose on the header by Jackson Reagan and it's Stefron. Far Is able to clear, but it's Dallas and now pick it up with Ariolash little soft on the touch. She's able to be picked off by read Baker Watty, but they're gonna come again. The ball gets rolled out to that far left hand side to Obrianne support by far Fan, closed down by Vargas, top of the box, little one two with Ferrara heavy touched by Oubrianna.
Is he gonna keep it is? It's gonna roll slightly over there and like good effort by the Dallas Foardo, it rolls over for a Sounders goal kick here in the fourth minute it's Dallas nil, Sounders nil. And just going back to that last sound As attack. If one of the questions you see when you you'll have when you see this lineup is the width on the left hand side. You know Rusnake is right foot, it wants to come inside. But I think you just saw a glimpse of it there Nikola Darrel making
off the border runs. You can find ways without knew who bombing forward and I think we've read back there. Yes, you'll get forward at times. His primary job is to defend today between Rustnik and the Darrel, they've got it between them. Find a way to still be dangerous getting widfund the left hand side. We know that Jordan Morris will stay wide and high on the right hand side, and when he comes to side, Alex Roordan is no
stranger joining in the final third. It's on this left hand side where between Albert Rusnak and Nikoladero, a combination of them finding ways to keep that as occupied on their right hand side defensively. Yeah, we talked to Brian Schmischer. Obviously the way the Sounders are set up this season with Knew, who's sitting a lot deeper on the left hand side, laring Alex Rodan to play high on that right. We'd Baker Whiting is gonna pick and choose those moments
to go forward. He's an attacking left back. In terms of mentality, certainly some discipline needed to the young man, but boost the confidence to give him the start tonight as Knew, who sits on the bench, di youmnsion recovering from that long travel international duty as a Sounders we attained some possession that their half of the field look good. Combination read Baker Whiting righting from the Dallas bench. JP's gonna roll it about to Stephan Fry. Eleven clean sheets
on the ear, two clean sheets away from home. It's been a while, sence to Sounders have had a clean sheet. Last game was back in Houston on July first. There a couple of clean sheets will be vital as they play this first game of three away games with Colorado coming up on Wednesday and then two weeks today it's going to be Nashville. So the early free kick for the Sounders here in the sixth minute, Ariola the captain. It's
gonna hopefully help at Rosnek who got a little kick on the ankle. But for the Sounders, it's all about results, all about getting in some forms. Steve, it's the playoff run the Sounders, they've always built, done well in this part of the season. Just kick it into gear, get ready for playoffs and then once they get in it can be a whole different
team. Yeah. Absolutely, Now, well, what at that point where you know there is no more tomorrow for the Sounders, it really is time if you're going to make that run, get that momentum, it is time. As we've said, there were positive encouraging signs against the Portland Timbers result notwithstanding, can you keep that momentum going? Yes, three away games is
very tough, but I think they are three winnable games. The Sounders will feel that way, as they should if you get good momentum went into the playoffs. There's very few teams that's going to want to face a fit, hungry, healthy Sounders, and that's what you have to do. Windows games show who you are, and we mentioned Christian were done coming back. Raul looking like the old rail Rudz Ladera's paying a bit better. So after a long and sort of up and down season, the Sounders do look like they
could be running into gear at just the right time. Yep, second place. Still, even without up and down results, it's the Sounders have got a good foundation to build. Our forty one points matching last year's total already with six games to go, so the Sounds already in a much stronger position. Just missed out in playoffs for the first time in franchise history last year. Looking much different prospect this year as Sounders pick it up deep in their
half. A little flicked by Greed Baker Whiting given away by the sound It's been a little scrappy in this first seven or so minutes as the both teams,
trying to find their feet obtain some possessions. The ball goes into Obriann Challenge World by jaymar as he puts his arms up and combination between Morris and Ladera Morris top of the box tries to roll it into Ruy Diaz in tide the Box, quick turning shot save comfortably in the end by players, but good breaking transition Steve Zacranning very good from the Sounds, very very good. Jordan Morris wins the boarder rights away, finds Ecolodero. We sort of best
off everyone there. Jordan Morris getting out into open field running, Nikoladero playing the fruit board and when his board comes into rail. Ruydiez Yes, the final finish isn't what he would have wanted, but it's a good first touch and his raul looking sharp in the box, combining with Jordan Morris the good
good attack there by the Seattle Sounders. Yeah, Ruydiez coming off a confidence building performance against Portland and assist and a goal in that game, a second goal coming for Leo Chu and as I remember taking off that shirt and celebration in that thirtieth minute, give of us looked at each other at that point, didn't think too much of it. And then all of a sudden, the fifty third minute and errant leg the collision in the middle of the field,
second yellow, and the whole game turns upside down. As the ball goes in behind Red Baker Whiting he reads it well. It was Ferreira the top goal scorer on the year, but ten goals and three assists good twenty twenty three season for Ferrara, picking up off that Stella twenty twenty two season where he got eighteen goals and six assists twenty twenty two MLS Young Player of the Year and then Ted Dempsey and goals for the Gold Cup and really gave
the US a chance as they eventually fell short against Panama. They get a flowing deep in their half, a little flip by Ferrara, tries to find Pommy Carl cleared well by Jackson Reagan and certainly Jackson is not the rookie anymore. Steve. He's really solidified his opportunity. It started very early in the season. He got the nod over Oriaga and he's done so well and it's
one of those situations where you see an opportunity. He saw him preseason and the coaching staff put a lot of faith and trust in him, and Jackson Reagan has repaid him. He's been absolutely fantastic and mainstay back there and as you said, in an up and down season, he's been at least one constant up. He's been a very big positive. You can really count on one hand and maybe not just a couple of fingers, how many mistakes he's
actually made. He's been that good defensively and built a really strong partnership with Yama and then a lot of times for the Sounders when they were when they were struggling to score goals, they were keeping clean sheets in the middle of the summer, and that's probably what's kept the Sounders in the second place of that and other teams really failing to captainize. Yeah, Juanqua with the ball
for Dallas as they got a prod and prior that deet Sounders defense. But did you mentioned Sounders coming into this game solid in terms of goals against twenty nine goals against, thirty four goals scored. The Dallas are closely behind thirty goals given up this season, So yes, they have not been great in the attacking third, but being solid defensively as well, giving themselves a chance
to push for this playoff run. Twenty six games played for Dallas, two games ahead of the Sounders and only sitting seven points behind the Sounders as they sit in that ninth play spot, that final playoff spot. And we've been talking off air about this whole playoff situation. That play in game between eighth and ninth as the ball gets sprayed all the way to Ariola quick sword step inside and read Biger whiting but recovers well. Pomiccar picks at the ball,
JP come into closing down little combination. Top of the box finds o Brienne twenty yards from gold. Good step by Jordan Morris able to come across. Help defensively and eventually the Sound is clear scored the own goal in middle of July. This Arriola right has side of the box, drives it low and hard, flipped off the heel of Bargas, turning shoot by Ferrara just wide. There was a scuff shot by Ferrara in the end went to the outside
of seven fries right post goal kick. Sounders remains no all now and the shot from Ferrara truck is harmlessly wide. And the Sound has had two of three chances to maybe win the board, couldn't quite do it. Dallas scrappy get into the box and and Rihanna's board there cut back it makes his way to Ferrera at the back post. He's running away from the ball. It's a very tough taking me to try and get generate any kind of power under
that, but it happened. Warning signs already here. We're just twelve minutes in wherever that is, they're gonna play on the front foot. They want to try and get up early and then give to some something to to try and combat from solf. For the sales, Sounders just need to get a bit more control into the game. You haven't really strung together five six,
seven, eight passes. Take the temple his thing after the game. Right now, it's very back and forth and so far that's suiting FC Dallas a lot more than is suiting the Sounders well, Jackson felt, Stego and Pete. We're talking about how Dallas are comfortable being out of possession at times. They play quick in the transition, vertical attack and certainly being at home, the expectation is you dominate possession, but it's not always the case, and
they'll certainly comfortable in that transition play. As the Sounders habit fast sight the right, Alex Roldan advanced him his right backspot is normal this season plays Vargas, who is getting more involved higher up the field, leaving JP, who
has the board now middle of the park to dictate play deep. Jordan Morris inside from his right wing spot today playing on that right in the last couple of weeks as the Sounders retained good possession continue to dominate MLSC in terms of passes forward passes certainly a possession based model now that Brian Schmitzez pushed on his team, and see the players we have in this lineup. We looked at
him as they walked out. When you think about Rusnak and Ladera and Morris and Ruy Diaz on paper, there's not many better forward line than that. There really isn't. And it's just a matter of getting him all fit on the same page, giving him time. And yes we're at the end of the season. There isn't much time, but just a couple of games here and there, and it's an attack that could really explode and put a lot of teams to the sword. And for the Sound is yes, possession is
in the DNA now. But the good thing about the teams they can play in many ways. You think especially Leo treats mess In today, but when he's out there, enjoy the Morris. You've got two of the quickest wingers in the entire league. Guys, you can go vertical very very quickly. So having different ways, different options and weapons to attack teams is something in
the Sound as DNA. But for tonight I do think the possession will be key if they can keep the boat for long stretches, allow Ladera and Rusnack to dictate the game and job Parlow in there, and then in the decisive moments I've order and roll Rudiaz at the tip of the attack. I think for the sound is that maybe is the best foot forward foot attack to mate well. Sound As FC Socket is presented by Provident, Swedish official healthcare partner
of Sounders FC AS. We're here in the fourteenth minute Toyota Stadium, nine to fifty KGr am Dallas nil Sounders Nils. We'll get here in this running to MLS playoffs that start October November time as a Sounders three games away from home to contend with us. Dallas come with it, Oriola tries to slide the ball in behind. Obrian has got a chance free play on the far side. It's ferrare goes on his own deflects and it's a goal. It's
in the back of the net and it's Dallas and his hide. Obrien found the ball in behind, vanished the cutback and his stronger right foot, who was a deflected shot that found itself in the back of the goal and puts Dallas up in Frisco Dallas Warren Sounders nil. Well, the warning signs had been there, We'd mentioned it. EFC Dadda is a very very good getting out in transition and with Aubrion there he does everything great. I mean it's
a simple giveaway and Arianna plays a pass outside Jesson Reagan. There's no cover there. Redbaker Waiian doing his best to come across Allbryon Cuss inside him and the shot takes a tiny deflection there that gives Stephen Fry absolutely no chance. But that's the third time FC Dallas and it's opening fifteen minutes. I've got in behind the Sounders back line and on this occasion, third time the charm for EFCI Dallas. They make the Sounders paid and the worst possible start for
the Sounders. You do not want to go to place like this and play from behind and give the home team confidence. And that's just happened. One nil FC Dallas. Yep, third goal for Obriann on the season, getting get an opportunity to the players. Comongo and Velasco are out and certainly a disappointing way to start the game for the Sounders. As we're hearing the sixteenth minute in Toto Stadium, Sounders now trailing one goal to nil. One simple
passing behind broke the back four open. Ferrera was wide open on that right hand side. Was really Baker. Why you have to come across and meet the challenge? Almost got it nicked off the players heeled and jumped over. Stephan Fry puts Dallas one goal up here at home as a Sounder is now going to try and retain some possession week loose ball by JP not what the Sounders won. As the ball goes out right in front of the Sounders bench.
That's gonna be a throne for Dallas. Was Janko on the right hand side, fulling in the right back spot after Pyzus the right back for Dallas, the starter got an ACL injury in training. Certainly, see we talked about Dallas being a team that's hit by injuries in recent weeks. Fifty nine games they're starts have missed this year from a mix of injuries an international duty.
And it's a game you kind of circle on the calendar think, yeah, that's a good chance to get three points, but this point start, Yeah, disappointed starting. I think we're see dadis look there, sitting in the ninth place, in the last and final playoff place. Right now. It's a teen US, A hungry team. Yes, the teen US a bit banged up, a bit beating up, but they'll be up for this
game, knowing that it's still in their hands. If they can win out and win enough games, they will be in the playoffs, something that's important to them. I think for the sounder's perspective, you don't overreact. You know, you don't want to be one year down early on. That was not part of the plan. Are all tries todink it into that far post. So Obrianna again, who's lingering back there, good to hit, defending by both roll darn in his shie on the header and then Yama is able
to clear it. Sounders aren't able to pick up these second balls. The ricochets of Ferdiez back into the midfield, and it's gonna be Illa Ramendi who's gonna pick it up the middle of the field, no real pressure, is able to put his foot on the ball, just slow the tempo down, rolls it into Ferrera a quick, little ball in behind well read by Jackson Reagan sin it's just half a yard behind the play right now aren't able to
get a foot on the ball, get a foothold in this game. They come away the middle of the field now with ladera switch to the point of attach to this near side. The Sounders left with Baker Whiting and Rosnat coming in from that left hand side, rolls it into Jordian Morris is pinched in from that right wing spot. As a sounder is now just try to find an open and get an opportunity to test payers. It's been one shot on goal, so follow a week shot by Rudy Diaz. It's all that's done
so far on this thirty first eighteen minutes. As they do dominate possession and just slightly with fifty two percent possession. As you mentioned Steve Dallas, a comfortable being behind in possession and they do exactly what they did. They play vertical, they play on the counter and they got that goal and that's where
lets them are going. It seems almost too easy if I feel the sound is now you have to be very good in possession because you know you think it any giveaway, any slight giveaway even in the attacking half, which is what led to the goal. As they trained for that. They're happy for that. That is part of their game plan if it. The Seattle Sounder has always said, no need to overreact. You just gotta get your foot on the ball and get your influential playment because a bit more involved in the
game, and trust that at some point the chances will fall. Feel ruddy assal Jordan Morris and they'll put in the back of the net, roll down, rolls, it's square to Vargas who just skips by. Ariola got to dribble top of the box, that's near side the left again, errant passed by the Sounders. Miscommunication between Rosneck and Vargas, the ball rolls out of
bounds and it's near side the Dallas right to be Dallas throw. We talk about results being as important as around the league as the Sounders results tonight, and we got to keep you up today as we get through the evening, certainly on the Western Conference games as they start to get going. Vancouver playing against Toronto tonight the sixty first minute one one, Houston Saint Louis nil nil and Minnesota Kansas City nil Nils, so a number of teams looking from the
outside, looking in Steve, it's tight at the bottom. You're looking at Sporting KC on thirty three points as they as we look at these results come in Portland thirty three points. The Galaxy at thirty points. Colorado is the only team in the Western Conference who really don't have a shot right now is to sit lowly in nineteenth place after getting rid of Robern Frazier's head coach.
And that's why this game is so important. You know, we spoke about, you know, can the Sounders in this three road game stretch coming up? You know, with six points be good, With seven points, be good. But if you think about dropping a couple of these points and the teams beneath you begin to get results even in second place, you start to look a little bit shaky, a little bit over your shoulder. And that's why the sound is for a game like tonight. It's a game you don't
want to give away. It's in front of you, it's in your hands. You take care of business. You keep trying to put distance between yourself and that red line. But obviously this opening twenty twenty one minutes for the Sounders hasn't gone to plan. Was it good? First five minutes or so? Way for okay, we're gonna settle down. You know, guys are getting touches. But since that time the sound is really not threatening in the
final third and not really getting Jordan Morris and Ruddy haz involved. And it's still very early on in this game. That's the one plus conceding a goal earlier. You have a lot of time to recover it. But I think Atis now have what they want. They're happy to sit back and just try
to get him. In transition to try and find their second volle overlapping run by Red Baker, Waichi and Rosa looks past seven, comes inside top of the box, try to roll at to Ruy Diaz and accepted by Keenan as the ball goes over the top again too easy for the Sounders as Ferrara picks it up in transition top of the box right hand side wards it across good interception by Jackson. Reagan's able to recover and the Sounders able to build out,
but again one simple ball in behind breaks the Sounders open. It was Ferrara this time got in behind, but an air it pass and there's a good interception by Jackson Reagan, but Steve it's it's a warning shot again for the Sounders. Oh you said it, Danny. It's one simple board. It's not clever. It's not having to come up with a big tactical plan. Actually that's a sitting back. The moment they win it, it's a
board over the top and they have winning runners. And if you're the sound is between Yaymart and Jackson Reagan, you have got to be switched on when when the team's in possession, you have to know exactly where Ferrera is, where Aubryon is. They attacking danger guys when they're there and Rudyaz have the bar in the final third, that's when Yaymar and Reagan have to come out.
But right now it's a little bit lack of days. A call back there with that one ball over at the top and it seems a Sounders are scrambling and I could have very easily been two nil, and at one nil you're in with a chance. At two nil it becomes that much harder. Well, I know, playing it was always when you get that lull, when you go to sleep, when we've got possession, the ball transitions quickly across, you're out of position, you're unaware of where the players are,
and that's the breakdowns that can happen. Yeah, exactly, and it's now is his game plans they have right now, all eleven players inside it on half and they're okay doing that, but the moment they win it, they take off the other way and the Sounders are playing into their hands at the moment. Crunching tackle by jp On O'Brien the goal scorer, because it goes down to the deadloor, slow to get up, we're a free kick for Dallas. Just as Steve mentions what they want, they get to slow this
tempo down even at home. They're comfortable in that style of play. And so far the threat that they're showing in behind, as we mentioned, it's not complex soccer. It's simple root one balls in behind that's catching the Sounders out right now. As Shure Brian Schwetz want to tighten those things up. As the Sounders pressed a little high now, the Biaga laws it back to
pass deep in Dallas is half the field. As they start to build in possession, driven ball into Ferrera, a little layoff finds Pommy Carl Sounds just a yard or two off the pressure right now given away again. Frustration building in the Sounders. A couple of cheap giveaways so far in the middle of the field. This time it's vargas able to scramble and scrap able to maintain possessions. The Sounders try and get things going, trying to find their feet.
Here's been a couple of weeks off for international duty, two weeks since that Portland game. It's certainly some frustration to work through. After that really strong first fifty three minutes against Portland, Portland, you didn't have an answer, and some quick fire goals to get them back into the game, an eventual two two tie, and those are the results that feel like a loss. As the ball goes down the line for the Sounders, pomcar comes across,
shrugs, ladera off the field. It's gonna be Irramendi's gonna build it out there, Keynon and that fast side the left as a Sounders retreat and see we're talking about big time players need to play well in big time moments. This feels like a game now. It just needs to have some of those experienced players to get a grip of the game, retain some possession and start to building some offensive five pounds that attacking third, absolutely right, Dannie.
I mean this is the game where listen, Rudy as you looks good against the poorling Timbers for the time you're out there. You got your goal. We need you to day, Nikoladero, you're in your favorite number ten, rold we need you today, Jordan Morris, Rusnak. Those guys that attacking quartet, particularly by job Pardo, has to take a hold in the midfield and win the game. I think right now for the Sounds, they look like a team hasn't played in two weeks. Everything's a little bit off.
The pressure defensively isn't quite dead. So much time in space for every single Sci Dallas player, even in advanced positions. And then in possession the Sounders there's three or four simple giveaways. Ball has been played out of bounds, balls being played behind the teammates, and it's what you want to see. Twenty eight games of the season. At this point you should be sort
of fluid. The chemistry should be there, but it sounds look like a team that hasn't played in a couple of weeks and the positive here it is only one neal and nest. The Dallas haven't really kicked on from that, but a Seattle Sounders haven't threatened that audience opening twenty five minutes in any real way. And it's been comfortable for the Dallas back lane. Well for Dallas
as well. We talked about some of their injuries. There at twenty five different lineups in twenty six matches this season, so when you look for some consistency in that lineup, you feel that the Sounders they've had that the back for There's been some shifting and changing due to maybe the odds suspension or injury or in this case with new international duty coming back. But the Sounders it's been a reasonably stable attack them starting lineup over Certa in the last couple of
weeks with the big time players. But Dallas have struggled to try and find that consistency in that lineup. And but today lucky comfortables the Sounds break now with JP crossed the halfway line, drives forward thirty yards from Gold dead center of the field, rolls the ball out to Jordan Morris right corner of the box No. One two, with JP finds it towards the end lights able to think. It comes off the keel of far Fan Good defending by the
Dallas the left back. Because Dallas now come away with the pomic carl on the far side, the left comes inside, rolls it across and so Obrian to Ferrara twenty five yards from Gold won't be one eventually cut out by Alex Roldan Good played by the Sounders, retreated well, won the ball, but then the explosion out of that possession is a little slow as they slowly build.
That was much better from the Sounders in terms of defending a transition r It's something that the sounder shouldn't be surprised because you knew it against the Portland and Timbers. That's something that Timbers do very well and the sound is notified that completely so far as they struggled to stop the FC Dallas press and transition. But on that last attack was much better for the Seattles Sounders but had got the numbers back, got defended centrally forced sc daders have to go out
wide and eventually forever misplaced to pass. Was so fi it's just been that it's been able to play one board over the top century and you have Yamn Reagan retreating towards their fa Frey, and you never want to see the sunder Batch running towards their own goalkeeper with a striker briefing under Nick read Big Whiting. It's near side the left, plays it to Ladero, square into Vargas middle of the field. No real options available for Vargas is he gets his
head a little slow. The Sounders now in possessional stationary in their play in the attacking third of the field as they work it all the way back to read Baker Whiting or combination with Ladero chopped down by Kenon, but no foul
given. Referee keep us the play going as we get here in the twenty seventh minute, Dallas one Sounders nail here in Toyota Stadium, Frisco, Texas, nine fifty KGr AM and this copyrighted audiocasts of Major League Soccer may not be retransmitted, reproducer, or rebroadcast without the express written consent of Major League Soccer. As Dallas come again with O'Brien Enasy drives forward, plays the ball out to far fan the fast side the left, closed down by Alex Roll
darn cut back to Keena patient possession right now by Dallas. No real pressure on the ball for the Sounders. The ball finds far, fantasy whips, the ball in comes off Alex roll Dan, it's going to be a corner kick for Dallas on that fast side the left. And see it just feels defensively as well, it just needs a little bit more pressure on the ball
to try and create a bit more discomfort in Dallas's play. Just energy then, and I think you mentioned the last play the Sounders on wonder ball, and then there wasn't even an urgence to get out in tradition an attack. Everything seems sort of slow and laboring. And look, playing in Dallas at the best of times it's tough, and even when it's not one hundred degrees summer heat, it can be human he can see it to sweat, drenching
food of players shirts. It's a very tough place to play with both played there. But I think for the Sounds just defensively a little too much time and space on the ball for the scy Dallas players and offensively aren't really getting out in transition and running and forcing Dallas to retreat. So it's been sort of very labor and control so far and at one temple, I've not gone
into fifth gear yet. Third corner kick for Dallas be in swinging corner kate with Ferrera's right foot, arm goes up, go short, top of the box. It's gonna be a strike on Gold flicks off, there's Yeaman goes over the top of the crossbar. It's illa Amendi, Spanish center midfielder struck it from Angel from twenty five yards out. It's gonna be a another corner kick. The fourth corner kick for Dallas, and for Dallas, it's all about trying to find that wind to get him back up that table and to
see the replay. But driven shot off the head of Yeemar. It's gonna be Ferrera again and swinging right foot went short to illa Amendi this last time. We'll see if he plays a little long this time. He goes short again born side the box to pomic car Well played by Dallas's picks it up, floats at him with his right foot, easily collected by Stephen Fry. Detail and all yellow tonight. But again it feels like just building out those
corner kicks. See it happened just a minute ago. Went short, went short again, and they're able to build out eventually gets clipped in, but just a little bit slow on that intake. In terms of pressure. Yeah, if you get quite at once on a short corner kick, you're cann accept it. But it happens again twenty seconds later, and the pressure is slow and it's not quite there, and you're seeing no job Parlo, he's
waving his hands in the air asking his teammates where are we. And for the Sound, it just seems like, for example, the Sounds lose the board and the se Dallas getting into possession and every player has ten fifteen yards of space and you don't typically see that we have a seattles Sounded team, at least defensively. In terms of transition getting back, that desire is usually there. And again it is tough to play in Texas in Dallas at any
time of the year. That's a part of it. But if you're the Sound is at dis tag of the season, you're a goal down, you know that your six remaining games, four of them are on the road. There's really no room for error. You have to keep getting points. And this opening one minutes or saw here for the Sounds will be disappointed for branch mess because he hasn't really seen what he'd want to see from his team.
We've not even mentioned an extrodan in the final third, for example, so that's an indication for how little activity we've had sustained in the final third from the sound is still a long way to go and a lot of time to turn it around, but so far this game is playing out exactly how sci Dallas would have wanted he as you mentioned, difficult places to play, not as hot as it has been past weeks, as fair and drives into Jackson
Reagan, the clash of bodies, Jackson Reagan went down, ball gets launched long, nothing given by the referee. Dallas losing only three times in the last twenty matches here at Torta's Stadium, leading one goal to nail against the Sounders tonight, as Sounders have it and attacking third with JP looking for options, read Baker Whiting available, It's a square ball too, Whiting. Jordan Morris, now on the left hand side, shifted over from his right hand
side Ladero to read Bak Whiting that was standing strong. So far, no real options to playing behind as Ladero's pinned against this near touchline. The left plays the ball into Vargas is Ill Ramendick Tressa nippet as heels sound has retained possession. Jackson Reagan center circle whips it out to the far side of the right to Alex Roldan, Rosneck inside, providing an option has to go back
Dallas. Eleven men behind the ball right now deep in their half of the field, and a chief giveaway by Jackson Reagan as Das puts a bit of pressure on and comes in transition, Obrian shakes off the initial pressure from Alex Roldan and then it's Vargas. It comes clattering in Obrian asking for a potential card. Nothing given to be a free kick for Dallas, and again a little snippet of the game. We've seen their sounders and not trying to go
left to right, trying to break FSI Dallas down. I'm not able to do so, but one giveaway from Jackson Reagan and Efidis are often a racist on that occasion, Vargas comic what we can call a professional flopping the momentum. Fore see that is there, but that's exactly how the men from Texas want to play. And the Sounder is playing into the hands just with simple giveaways. That Branch Medicine will be quite disappointed by free kick for the Sounders
center circle. It was keyon on JP. JP just kind of flung his arms up in the air, sold the free kick. He got it. Let's go be Jackson Reagan. Ball on the deck just about the halfway Line's gonna knock it long over the top to Jordan Morris inside the box towards the end line, left foot sister. Referee puts his flag up. It's good quick play by Jackson Reagan, coming into this game with four assists on the year, got to play find Jordan Morris in behind by the nearest of margins.
It was offside. The Sounders fans, we only have two home matches left this season. Be there to support your Seattle Sounders in their push to postseason. Don't miss out on the action. Grab your tickets at Sounders fc dot com slash tickets. We're here. In the thirty fourth minute, Toyota, stay ad in Frisco, Texas, it's Dallas one Sounders nil. A goal by Obrien on the counter attack. And the fourteenth minute. There's a
difference in this game as the ball gets not long controlled by Jackson. Reagan rolled out to Read Baker Whiting starting on this left hand side in place of new and it's a nice ball with his week or left foot down the line
towards the end line. Jordan Morris able to gather it, rolls it back to Read Baker, White, who's in support look cutback, plays JP square ball to Vargas twenty five yards from God looks to shoot the square to Rusneck, pinched way in from his right hand side spot as Alex Roldan sits high and wide on the far side. Sounders now retains some decent possession, trying
to find that opportunity to get back into this game. Ball finds Rusneck twenty five yards from Gold, rolls it out to the right hand side to Alex roll Dan closed down by far Fan flick off the defender's heels as it comes into the box, eventually cleared by Pom Carl, but only finds Read Baker. Whiting drops it short to Ladero on the left hand side, tries to
whip his foot around. The ball goes all the way across to the far side, eventually collected by Alex roldn ball into Rosneck tries to slash the ball on the top of the box for a Sean gold mishits it and its Dallas, who now come away with it. O'Brien in transition closed down by Vargas far side the right. It's far Frank goes to the deck. Nothing given by the referee as Rosneck comes chop chopping at his heels, eventually rolls over
the far touched line. It's gonna be a Sounders thrown. Just feels that there needs to be a little bit more life in this game. The crowds are little quiet. They've had sellouts in this stadium. Certainly, the success this club has had over the last two years in terms of putting people back in the seats has been really great at this US Soccer Hall of Fame location. As the ball gets whipped in all the way to the far right,
hands so I collected by actual darn Deep rolls it back to Vargas. A little reverse pass does to find the feet of Rosnack by JP far too heavy on the pass goes over the end line. Goal kick for Dallas remains Dallas one Sounders Nils seems quanty, but I think we wanted to see more of that the last two minutes. A bit more sustained possession from the Sounders in the Dallas half towards the final third, pinning the SI Dallas back line back.
I think that will encourage Bran Schmitzer and his men there. I think for the Sounders. Yes, in the end, nothing comes of it. John Polos trying to play a clever little inside past to Rossnack gets his technique a little bit wrong there and it overhits it. But that was better from the Sounders. You saw a lot more touches on the ball, so Ruthy as making movements into the box, a couple of process coming in from left and right. Daro had one of them as well, and we haven't seen
that enough in this half so far. So hopefully for the Sounders it's a sign of things to come. Sustained possession in the attacking half and that's how you break down the team like SI Dallas, who are just content to sit all men behind the ball and then get out in transition. What about ten minutes so so left in this first half, Sounders trailing one goalton Ill to Dallas, don't go, don't leave us at halftime, Jackson Diego and Pete
will be at flat stick. Give us the halftime breakdown as a Sounder is here in Frisco, Texas to trying to find a way back into this game. Dallas half possession, walled into Ferrera, their talisman upfront coming deep, soas playing a little higher press, Rudy Diez is holding his line, so All finds the feet of Ferrera. Back to illa Amendi the August August acquisition. As Dallas continue to build in possession somewhat comfortable, Sounders now put a
little bit more pressure on trying to chase this game. Trying to put Dallas under pressure is at Ferreira plays the ball square to illa Amendi center. The field boards out to the far side. The left of far found will run by o'brienna's the middle head that pomic Car I think it was challenge by Jackson. Reagan finds the hands of Seth and Fry remains Dallas one, Sounders nil. But again that's that's the difference Dallas in their attack. It's looks a
bit more incisive the past, seems a bit more purposeful. The ball that's wide, it's a bit across. Then what the Sounders have had so far formit car doesn't get much on it at all, and that's credit to Jackson Reagan for being there. But the Sound is in the attack, it looks a little bit labored. They're trying too hard at times and the parts is a bit off. And where at Dallas seem to have figured out today just
a little bit sharper in their attack and in their movements. And for the Sound is now having to play from behind, it's gonna be a little bit more urgency as this game goes on. You know, you don't want to go for it too much and the rest of this first half and risk going
down too nail. But certainly if you get to halftime with the game still like this, how long until branch mister Ghostree's bench makes a change or makes a tactical change on the pitch as well, Because as it stands right now, the Sounds will score yes from the quality they have, but aren't really showing consistent signs of breaking down this FC Dallas back plane ball tries to get switched by Rosack, cut out well by Jenqua, falls the feet of read
Baker White to deflect his shot. Good played by the young man stepped forward so that saw the opportunity, took it off his chest, one touch strike from outside the box, eventually saved by the Dallas goalkeeper. But good incited played by the young left back. It's very good the Sounds going a bit more direct and in the end as that attracted clean the board Read Baker White and picking it up driving could have maybe play Nikola there on the outside,
but I'm not issue with that whatsoever. From the young star taking a shot gets a little bit offlection put the stink out of the shop. But for the Sounders, a team that really has not troubled Datus at all, that
was a good sign going forward. Well, a right footed player playing left back sometimes could be awkward, but we've heard through the week that the goals that Read Baker Waiting has scored have been with his left foot, and certainly what we've seen already today that shot was left for the ball down the line
earlier with quality with his left foot. Is he thinks it now with his left foot down the line and collects to Jordan Morris to deflects off pomic car But this is red free on this near side, saying that it came after Sounders players going to be a throne for Dallas. And about ten minutes ago Jordan Morris and Albert Russennack got flip flopped on the wings and I thought he
maybe temporary. They stayed there. Albert russ Nack has moved to the right hand side, Jordan's on the left hand side, and the Sounders haven't really used that to their advantage. Jordan has done really good work the past couple of seasons from this left hand side, has not really been able to be isolated one v one for a chance to really run at the back line. I wonder if Schmetz will switch it back at halftime. But either way, we've not seen Johnan Morris in the situation you want to see him in,
and that's an era of the Sounders also have to improve. And I would also be surprised if Rudy has has had more than five touches. We really haven't seen him involved. Yes, is he a guy who needs a ton of touches? No, But evenfore Raoul this is on the extreme side. Well, certainly with Alex Roldan play high on that right hand side. No
Leo Chew. It made some sense that Jordan Morris at some point, which flips that left hand side as he has to sit here in the forty first minute, Dallas one, Sounders nil, and this scot date is presented by Providence, Swedish names Ariola. He's a little nibble at Jackson Reagan takes the big men down, free kick for the Sounders. But September fifteenth marked the beginning of latin X Heritage Month. Support latin X owned businesses throughout the month
for a chance to win Sounders prizes. Visit intendalist dot com to find a business near you. And that chuckleboy Ariola gave him a needless yellow card. Just clip the heels of Jackson Reagan. We've seen that a couple of times at Jackson Reagan. One time was with Ferrero. It was a shoulder to shoulder that put the big men down the deck. This Timo's Ariola again. Looking around the league. Vancouver leading Toronto two goals to one, Houston still
nil nil, with Saint Louis Minnesota nail. Ken's a city nail. And then of course here at Frisco, Texas, Dallas one Sounders nail. If the ball goes down, the line comes off, Juanqua, it's gonna be a Sounders throw deep in the Dallas half the field. It's near side. The left goes to Vargas, ball at his feet, getting a little loose by the Sounders. Eventually Jordan Morris is able to pick it up to Read Baker watching rolls it to Jackson Reagan to JP a little higher pressed by Dallas.
Now they're feeling confident in their lead. They're trying to put Sounders under pressure. Ball down the line with Read Baker way to the left foot, just rolls out of bound. It's gonna be a throne for Dallas here in the forty second minute. A big halftime team talk for Brian Schmitzer Steve as we get into this final couple of minutes, Yeah, I think so. And I don't think he's gonna go in there, no ra Ryan throw anything around. I think it's one of don't just say hey, guys, a
little bit more, give me a little bit more. You know what, only one nil down, you probably can't play as bad as you've paid in his first half. Its step up a little bit more, five percent more from everyone here, Maybe a couple of little tactical tweets and its am is right there. If the sounds are to score the momentum, shift that momentum. You can see this fe Dallasy maybe shrugging to stay with that, But I just haven't been able to get everyone on the same page. We've seen
very little of Nicoladero and Albert Russnick in dangerous positions. Yes they've had touches, but not in the areas you want him to have the touches in. John Parlo hasn't been as influential as he can be, so I think from Bran Schamans and his coaching stuff, he'll be asking just for a little bit more from his players. No wholesale changes, nothing crazy needs to happen,
but energy on both sides. So defensively we lose the board, get back in transition, defend our goal, make it hard fare see Dallas, and offensively a bit more dynamic. Loose ball by Yama, top of the box, picked up by Dallas, Ariola rose It's square Tillamendi's left of center, twenty five yards from gold trees to drill it back into Aria. Ariola eventually does get it back into the middle of the eighteen years bucks collected easily by
stefran Fryan. To your point about Rudy has eleven touches in this first half. The player of that quality when he eat goals, Yeah, and enough maybe one inside the box or two, the touch and the shot. Everything else has been you know, coming deep, laying it off as it tries to do here for ral Rude Diaz and listen, Yes, we talk about some of the best strikers in the world. How many touches thats Harland need for example, and m molst Raol, Yes, doesn't need too many touches.
But I think for a guy who hasn't been in rhythm this season,
you want to seem a little bit more involved. A few touches more here and there, somewhere from eighteen to twenty touches in his first half, and better touches, touches facing forward, touches the nick or touches Jordan Morris who just haven't seen that he's not involved and so he's Rusty's when that chance does come at times and you're not in rhythm, not in the throw of the game, it can be much harder to take that chance when it does present
itself, as it will. Dallas in possession, Juan Qua into key on it's nearside, the right rolls it to Oriola. That's a keynon twenty five years and gold dead center now with aubrey A challenged by Vargas, fans herself to far Fan two easy, no world pressure on the left back as he rolls the ball in, eventually cleared by them out for a Dallas throw on this fast side. The Dallas left quick throw by FC DALs get the ball back into play's keen on middle of the field. Sound us. I'm trying
to put a little bit of pressure on, but not enough. As the Borgas rolled down the left hand sides of far Front towards the end line, ricochets again off the chest of Alex roll Dan. It's going to be a corner kick for FC Dallas as we get here into the final few seconds of regular time for the last chance for FC Dallas. They pick up their fifth corner kick of the game, and it's gonna be forever again with his right
foot. If you're gonna go short again as he did for the last two, or he's gonna go in to the six yard bucks and float this one in the board goes up nextra Miles Stopper chat one minute as the ball comes in headed on strikes the crossbar, good head about key on pall banks around. It came off Jordan Morris, a couple of hands growing up for handball.
Nothing given. There's Dallas with in possession, with Ariola switched to play from right to the fast side of the left, cushioned header by far fand finds Ferrera on his right foot, got some time and space able to whip it in. Flicks over the top and chest of JP's right foot. It's the top of the net. There's going to be another corner kick, the sixth corner kick for FC Dallas by the last chance of this first half.
Yeah, and the Sounders need half time to come. I mean, second to everything here, that's a very good head of that hits the cross by there from FC that is Stephen Fry was beaten and then under second cross coming in there, John Parlor turning it over. It lands on the roof of the net. So Stephan Fry did have that one covered. But the Sounders looked tired, look uninspired at this moment here and just need halftime, go
in, get a reset here. Words from your cult there may not be the words you want to hear right now, but it'll be the words you need to hear and just get to half time. I hear for the Sounders, Ferrera with the corner kick floated him with his right foot, cleared by Jackson Reagan. Whistle goes to the mouth of the referee and he blows it for halftime. The goal by Obrien from the fourteen minute. It's the only
goal of the game so far. Stevie. Final thoughts of that first half just not enough from the sound is not playing as a team that's playing with only six games to goal, a team that needs to get points to keep going the momentum going. I think too many of the star players, the big players you depend on, having quite shown up yet. But the good news is it's only half time, it's only one nil, and you still can't turn it around. We'll take a short break, Jackson Felts and the
team at flat Stick. We'll be back to break it all down at halftime. Here at Tota Stadium in Frisco, Texas is FC Dallas. One sound is nil. Sounder Zec. Now time for the Sounder Zec halftime show. Forty five minutes in the books from Toyota Stadium in Friscoe, Texas,
and your Sounders down by a score of one. Nothing right now to FC DAOs. Welcome into the halftime show. Jackson out Sega Audio. Pete viewing here from Plastic Pub. It's Southlake Union. Come on down and enjoy the second half. We're hopefully our Sounders will look a little bit better than they did in the first half as we kind of welcome in and start to break things down. And Pete'll start with you with your opening thoughts on that first
forty five minutes. Well, I think Stevie Zacawani said it. I think the big time players that we count on have not really gotten engaged. They've not found a rhythm. You know, Reid Baker Whiting has had more touches, i think than any player on the Sounders. And I think if Brian Schwetzer says, who do you want to have a lot of touches on the ball, It's not Read Baker Wider, It's Nico, It's Jordan Morris, it's Raoul, It's Alex Holdn on the right hand side. JP. So
that was a very very fast first half. Dallas had the better of the chances the shot. I feel for Steph it was just a bit deflected as Obrion's shot just kind of bounced over Fry's hand. But you know, they've earned their luck. They deserve to be up one nothing right now. They had the Quicknn had the header off the pollar post on the corner. So Seattle looks a little bit lacksadaisical and again a Stevie set up. The six games left, we need more from the team right now. The good news
is is forty five minutes to go, Diego. Pete mentioned the Oprion goal there that the Dallas scored in the fifteenth minute. You know, mentioned deflection. That's nice and good and a factor for sure. But let's talk about the defensive positioning and that's something that we you and I, you know, we just immediately mentioned and we're just kind of keying on and the fact that on that play and when Dallas is attacking Ya basically the halfway line, it
was It's kind of one of those things we talked about in pregame. It's about when Dallas gets in transition, you've got to make sure to have good defensive positioning, and they haven't and they sure didn't in that moment. Yeah, and it's something that you know, we knew that was going to happen, right, Like that's how FC Dallas plays. That's one of the biggest strengths of playing you know, in the in the counter, in the transition.
But I think, yeah, to your point, like they you cannot be in a fifteen minute or less, you know, starting the game and not being your defensive position in that type of play. Like I get it if it's like second half and you your legs are very tired, but at the beginning of the game, you need to make sure to cut you you know, those plays exactly and you know the game's arrested. And I think
you know that was a distraction. And but also we saw the potential I think the one v one when you have fareda against you know Jack's you know, Reagan or Jamar, It's it's really dangerous, right, he's really quick
with the ball. And also you know he's super fast. We don't have at the fastest you know, center backs obviously, but I think we need to be careful too well in this case the team to avoid those type of situations, right, And I think also in the midfield need to see Joe, Polo and Ovid showing up more to recover that ball and avoid that you know that transition play center fans. Dallas leading Seattle right now by a score of one nothing. And this copyrighted audiocast of Major League Soccer may not be retransmitted, reproduced, or rebroadcast without the express written consent of Major League Soccer. Let's take a look at the
Sounder's bench tonight. It includes Stephen Cleveland, Javier ari Yaga, knew Who, josh A Tensio, Ethan Doublayer, Paul Rothrock, Freddie Montero, Abear, and finally Christian rolled on his back and available for head coach Brian Schmenzer off the bench tonight, be viewing your thoughts on a the bench and be some keys to the second half. Well on the bench. I'd love to see New Who get on and Christian rolled on. I think they'll bring a
spark and some energy and some lockdown defending from New Who. So I think we need some urgency and we got to look forward on some of these passes. You can't just go forward and back. You can't go forward and then come backwards and go sideways and back the whole time. Look for more probing passes. Get the wingers involved, get Alex Roldne overlapping, getting in behind and he and Morris combining if they're together on the right, and then we
need something from the left hand side. But we gotta it's we need some We need some urgency right now and some spark and some leadership on the field. They've got to shake the cobwebs off to the second half, get going. Yeah. I like that, you know, urgency and also hunger, right because I haven't seen the Sounders really in this first half, like really show it up at all, right, and I think that that's needed, especially going you know, being one nailed down. I want to see Christian
obviously. I think he's gonna bring a boost of not only sucker but also energy to the boys on the field. I would even like to see at some point even Freddy Montero, right and experience goal scorer, yeah, you know who works defensively, offensively also every time he goes on the field, he's gonna give it all, right, So I want to see I want to see that at intensity from the team that we haven't seen the first forty five certainly not one zero Dallas. Welcome back to Frisco, Texas Toyota Stadium where Dallas, after a fourteenth minute goal by Hayda Obrian, goes into the second half one goal to nil up against the Sounders. And as we talked about it and the guys talked about it at halftime, Phela the
Soundas needed to pick it up a gear. It looks a little bit of magic at times behind the pace. Two weeks off since their last game in Poland back on September two and this is the first game of three away games that are coming up. But Steve, if you had eyes on that locker room, what's Brian Schmitz I been telling his team to try and find that extra gear to get them back into this game. Yeah. I think for Brian Schmitzer just kind of you know, shouting at the guys and screaming at
them isn't what this game requires. I think the guys know it's not being good enough. I think it's a simple tactical adjustments. He's what we gotta do, guys. But he's gonna ask for more, ask for energy. He'll look Nikoladero and eyes rude. He has an eyes Albert Russna, John Polo, Jordan Morris, the soal called big players, and say, guys, I need more, but I need more where the business end of the season. This is not good enough. You know it's not I need more.
And he had a quiet word of Christian Rodown saying how much can you give me? Because he cannot come onto this pitch soon enough. This game needs the energy of Christian Rodown. He's a guy who he can stretch the back line. He can also give you a lot defensively, Christian rodown Can and he freeze up the likes of Ladero and Russknack to maybe be my adventures going forward, just a little bit missing gaze. I think Branshmister would have
kept his talk short. I think among the players there's gonna be conversations. The guy's gotta be talking among themselves. Look, guys, it's not enough. We need a bit more and then hopefully the second half is a complete one eight what we saw in the first half, because that for this team, twenty eight games in with results not going our ways so far tonight, it's alarming to put that kind of performance in at this stage of the season.
Well. As we mentioned during the first half, Dallas have had good success here at Tourger Stadium and lost three times in their last twenty games here in Frisco, Texas seven one and two record this year against Western Conference teams four oh and two when scoring first at home. As the Sounders get this second half going is Jackson Reagan launched, launched it long to the fast side of the left. Jordan Morris has going to retain his spot on that left
hand side. We saw him start on the right hand side in this game as that now shifted to that left hand side, and we'll get to the starting lineups and the lamps coming out in the second half. Doesn't look like any team has made any changes. For the Sounders, Stephan Fryan goal are back four of Alex Roldan, Yemar Reagan and we'd Baker Whiting in four knew who who was late arriving home after international duty. He's on the bench.
Obit Vargas alongside Jao Paolo attacking three of Marius Ladera Rosnack and then Ruy Diaz up front as the Sounders habit in the attacking third getting on the front foot here in this second half, wearing all all green tonight green shirts, green shorts, green socks attacking the goal to our right, and Dallas in their traditional red shirts, navy blue shorts and navy blue socks attacking the goal to
our left of Stephen Fry deck tower and all Yell launches it long. It's gonna bounce just a couple of times as Jenqua shepherds it out of play, the player who scored the own goal back in middle of July when Dallas came into lumin field and played the Sounders that was the last game before the league's
cutbreak. As Dallas habit middle of the field. It's Martinez has really been untested in the back line alongside the Biaga in that first half, Fafan has it rolls it back to the new signing Illa Amandi, Spanish player from Rail Associa time as we mentioned the first half of Rail Madrid where he's got a twenty fourteen Champions League medal. The ball gets played and the Sound has habit.
In transition, the Dara rolls it across, but John Mars little slow to get to that ball, but Sound has retained possession middle of the field with JP low pressure from Ferreira. As the ball gets rolled square to rusneck Skiy. That Dallas lineup parsing Gold back from his red card that he picked up against Saint Louis Is Jean qua Ibiaga, Martinez and far Fan Pommy, Carl Keiyon and Illa Amandi in the middle, and then he attacking three of
Obri and the goal scorer Ferreira and Paul Ariola. The Dallas habit in Sound as half the field with Pommy car rolls it to Key on to La Mandy. He was starting on the front front as well on this second half left hand side or Briand and rolls it in, little flicked by Ferreira, a top of the box, little slow by the Sounders to close it down. It was Prome Carl. It was a fluff shot in the end, easy collected by Red Baker Whiting and the Sounders are gonna come away with it.
But it's about pace they both with and without the ball. It feels like in this second half it is and both in attack and defensively. So defensively you lose the board. Can you win it back quickly? Can you get around? Can you really apply pressures to this FC Dallas team before they can get in transition? And already was seeing Dallas with so much time in space in the Sounders attack in half every single time they get the ball. They
have time in space FC Dallas and for the Sounders the other way. There's a ball early on in this half. Nikola Daro wins the ball and you want to see Jordan Morris take off, make a running behind, give Nick or something to playing behind. And it was a bit lay but it was sort of fifty percent of sprint, maybe a jog and Niko ends up giving a ball away because there was no movement ahead of him. So I think
those are things one see from the sound. Is a bit more urgency and play a bit more vertical in the possession has been okay, but can you force the Dallas to go towards the on board? Can you play a few boards in behind, give Joe Morris something to chase and really edge your back line up, and now you're playing a game in SCI Dallas half. We have just simply not seen that so far. Well, certainly leoh Chew serving
a one game suspension after his red card a gigs Portland. Here the difference makers for it has the ball flicks into the box, bounces around, eventually cleared by Yama knocks it long. Oh way back to the scdl's goal gime of Pas who steps outside his box, rolls it short to far ft, launches it long. These they cut out by roll down, little loose on the pass, slides in, doesn't retrieve it as Illo Remande is able to
pick it up. Good patient play by the thirty three year olders. It comes off, roll down, rolls out for a throwing on this near side the left for FC Dallas as see it's about transition, but it also set pieces. It's gonna be key in the second half in playing away team when you're not firing all cylinders, so those quality of corner kicks and three kicks to try and find that goal. Yeah, exactly. The game does become
about that. You're almost become few and far between as a clock ticks now and you maybe think, okay, we may get one or two big chances in the run of play if it's not in the run of play, which it doesn't look like it will be. For the Sounders missed a lot of simple passes today not on the same page. Then things that set pieces crosses into the box lost has become important, but the Sounders haven't done that will
either yet so far. So we then start looking to the view option, which is the bench, and I think that's where branch Meister will be leaning towards all down the Sounders left hand side. It's Ladera and who grabs the board from the series on the deck of us parme Carl maybe a key on roll down and I think Steve, that is much frustration from the number ten for the Sounders. A thing else a little, but much by Pomi Carl
wasn't too much into it. A finger maybe in the eye, but yeah, certain they went down pretty will make a meat of it, as you know he should. And you've got as frustrations, frustration, it's not being Niko's best day, it's not being the team's best day. There he's trying to get the game going quickly. The captain, well former captain of the son as Letzi's frustration getting the better of him in that situation. Well,
certainly for Pommy Carley is a homegrown player signed in twenty sixteen. It's just a long line of players that have come through the FC Dallas development pipeline, likes Western McKinney for Rara, of course, Chris Richards Peppy who went for big money Aboard just a couple of years ago, a cost or Reggie Cannon. The list goes on, and certainly Dallas have been known well for the development of their young players in their academy. Certainly they have players on the
bench with experience. It also players on the bench with the continue trying to protect this lead. Sounders looking for that equalizing goal here in the fifty second minute at Frisco, Texas, trailing one goal, to nil to FC Dallas. The ball goes down Linder's near side of the right barj into by Martinez on Ladera's to be a sound as free kickball on the deck. Sounders want to get this going quickly, and they do with Ladera shifts its square all
the way to the far side and to read Baker Whiting. Jordan Morris just going backwards with the person August to read Baker Whiting ball in behind to Jordan Morris tries to clear back in his left foot little week on the cross easily collected by Ubiaga and the big central defend of FC Dallas. The rolls it forward to Pumercla and knocks it down the line. We've seen that ball in behind the back for a couple of times in the second half, one of
them for the goal of obrianne Bo got in behind. Surely thereafter that Sounds able to quell that attack and they come the Sounders again. It's near side the rights with rolls on just a little labored in possession right now. The Sounders try and find that spark from some of their big time players as Jpach has a drive it all the way across the Vargas gets bumped in the back far fans asking for the ball too for his favorite ricochet off Vargus on the
floor. Gonna be a Dallas throwing remains Dallas one Sounders now. But we finally had a Sounders attack where Jordan Morris decided to take off and you saw what gonna happen. Read a big of Whiting had space to play him in, plays Jordan in behind. Yes, Jordan's final cross left a lot to be desired. It was not his best ball, but you want to see more of that from Jordan Morris if he can make off the board runs as
well. Sometimes on the board it's not your day, but can you make movements as the wing got off the ball to make the back line have to question themselves and retreat backwards, and it's just gonna create so much more space underneath for the likes of Rusnak and Adero to play on, which hasn't quite been there today. So that was good to see from Jordan Morris, hopefully
a positive sign for watch to come. Him making more runs in behind, giving the Sounds chances to find him because when he gets inside of final third still can be as dangerous as anyone in the mless well, certainly we took at positivity. Look at the bench, they bear got goals in him, certainly scored two goals this year in those first two games. It would be dry run. But wouldn't it be great to find him a goal tonight? Ariaga, Tensey on the bench, Cleveland double Air and then some of the
quality players that could make a difference in Montera roll down. We've seen Paul Rothock gets some cameos off the bench over the last couple of games after getting signed just a couple of weeks ago. And then final player knew who coming back for international duty, we had Bigger White. He has done a good job on the left hand side so far, playing a bit more advanced position as he collects it now to feet. As a Sounders tried to find an
opening, a chance to test the FC Dallas goalkeeper. It's been but an easy nights so far for Pars and the goal Certainly, we've talked about the lack of touches for the Dar, lack of touches for Ruy Diaz. The Sounders need those big time players to get on the Ballers JP has it forty yards from gold dead center at Yamar. Eleven men deep behind the ball for Fcat Dallas, making it very difficult for the Sounders as they try to find an opening to get the ball into feet. Ladero sits on the back line,
so does Ruy Diaz, as does Rusneck Stationary. As the ball tries to go inside by Morris, easily given away, Dallas come away with it. Sloppy giveaway by the Sounders. All goes down the line. This is the referees flag goes up in sounders favor. It's gonna be a throne for the Sounders. They get the ball back and play quickly. We' talked about
some of the results that are happening around the league. Vancouver got a result today too, one win against Toronto that pushes them up the Western Conference table, Houston leading Saint Louis, and of course Dallas leading one gold to Neil here in Frisco, Texas. The other two results are Minnesota neil Ken Into City nail and Colorado nil New England nail. We looking for any type of
success in terms of performance or results. Sitting on sixteen points, the Sounders next game on this road trip is going to be in Colorado against the Rapids On Wednesday, Martinez has the ball for Dallas. The key on the real pressure actually comes from jp was they able to flick it around the corner, ball down the line to Obrian, got some time and space overlapping run by far Fund comes inside to his preferred right foot as obri on the goal scorer
to pot me Carl with his left foot. Little cut back to Ferrera twenty five yards from goal, tries to find the ball in behind Ron was coming from Juanqua but passos two heavy goes over the end like Dal kicks. Sounders remains Dallas one. Sounders nail seems a quanty and I think for Astee that has fun. No, they've got the gold and they haven't really kicked on
Eva to quite content with what you have here. If the opportunity to go and find a second is there presents herself, yes they'll get after him and try to get out there. But it's more waiting to see what the Sounders are gonna do. They're gonna sit back, get as many men behind the ball as possible. When a chance of Hatrean transition is there, they're gonna try to go in transition, but they don't have too much interest in really
forcing the issue and getting that second goal. So the oldest really is on the Sounders to make things happen. There's a bit more life and the sound is so fust still not enough, but a little bit of signs of life in the second half at least three. Baker way to the end line, dingsit to the back post. It's a strike and it's a goal. It's Alex rolled Down out of nothing. It was a great play by the young
left back read Baker. Why to give skid by the defender Jean quar got to the end line and with this weaker left foot he puts some real quality to that back post and it was the other fallback for the Sounders. Alex rolled down who struck it well, slight deflection, goes in the back of the net and it ties it up here in Frisco's Dallas one Sounders one. Well, that is a huge gold. Was just saying that there have been some signs of life, but did not see that one come in there.
It's a fantastic cross by Reed Baker away and and Alex Rodon doing what he should do framing the back post gets an excellent connection on it. That's great technique. It might take a slight deflection, but deflection or not take nothing away from the finish from Alex Roldon and just when the Sounds needed it most or goal out of nothing and this Dallas now have been pinned back. The Sounders haven't played well today, but it's now one one and you would not
put it past the Sounders team to use that gold as momentum. I'm going forward here. Well, that's his first goal on the year. For Alex Roldon, to couple it with three assists, and what a time for the right back the CLU product. I'm sure Pete viewing at flat Stick is going to be celebrating, hopefully with a beer Peeps Ris alumni at CLU and certainly what a time for the Sounders here in the fifty ninth minute. Now it's Dallas one, Sounders one. As Steve, sometimes these games can spin very
quickly. Dallas look pretty comfortable, Sounders are struggling to find good possession and all of a sudden, a little bit of magic on the left hand side by Red Baker White to get a quality finished by Alex Roldan. Yeah, and I think Dallas would be kicking themselves. You know, they never really tried to push on. You've caught a set hour Sounders team that haven't looked at themselves today and haven't really tried to use you know, your home crowd
and your home field to advantage to really put the Sounders under pressure. Yes, they've got their goal and they've sort of been content to take chances even when they appear without really forcing the issue. And the sound is now bounce back. This next five minutes now becomes important. Which of these two teams is gonna take this game by the scruff of the neck and try to find
that second board because a point doesn't really do Either team favors it. They want three points and so for the Sounders, now this next five do not that Dallas get any sort of momentum. Can you really push on and kick on and try to find a way to get a second board. Dallas in possession, they attacking third of the fields. Kenana's going to roll it back to Martinez. I'll take il Romende is gonna roll it so it's near side the left of far. Fan slight deflection of far got it past the goalkeeper.
But I think the shots so much Venom and the strike he was most likely going to go past Pars and the goal. A little deflection helped, But for the Sounders they won't care how it goes in of a sweet struck and volley or the on the backside of a ruy das doesn't matter. Get the ball in the back of thet get back into this game and now start
to build. As we get here in the sixtieth minute, the chunk of time left here at Frisco, Texas, whether where all accounts it is perfect for soccer, not as heart and human as normal as the ball get shifted down the line for Dallas is near side. The Dallas left won by the Sounders, cleared by the goalscorer Alex rolled down pushing the back by key On nothing given by the referee. Was Ladero who felt some pressure went down.
Nothing given this time by the referee. We've seen that so many times over the years, finding a way to get those free kicks from slight pressure. As the ball goes down line to Pom, Carl flips it in with his left foot along the six yard, but it's well cleared by the assists man. We'd Baker White flix in by Dallas. Still ball bouncing around, eventually cleared by Yama to Key on to far fan, Dallas getting bit of sustained
pressure and they attacking third of the field closed down by Russnack. Clumsy challenged by Russnack on Pomiccarl and the left channel about ten yards from the end line to be at Dallas free kick. It's been a decent response, messy data, say the Sounders, you know, throwing themselves back into the game at one one with a fantastic finished that we're getting a chance to see again on replay here from Alex Rodan. But now just Si Dallas beginning to ask a
few more questions, sending a few more numbers for it. They understand that a point for them at home this age of the season, in this type of game isn't enough. They have to try and go for three. That should hopefully lead to more spaces for the Sounders on the other side as well, and we'll see if the Sounders are able to exploit that. But first before that have survived this very dangerous free kicker. But it's Ferrara and Pomiccarl
on the ball. Farre with this right foot, Pomiccar with his left thinking about ten yards from the end line in the left channel. It's near side the left Sefron Fry organizes thes defenders. It's like it's going to be Ferrera set ups. Take this in swinger with his right foot, players sitting on top of the six yard box, or comes in easily collected by Stefron Frive. Bit of a waste by the Dallas FC FC Dallas talisman. The sound is now going to try and build out of the back in possession, and
certainly the Sounders have been the possession orientated team this year. They've got the speed and power in the final thirty. I've seen that so much tonight, But it's about consistent tempo, consistent possession this year for the Sounders. They leave many MLS stats and total passes, forward passes, forward zone passes. The Dallas habit middle of the field a key on those subspate either team.
Yet we'll see if that goal changes Bryan Schweitzer's timing and mind on what he wants to do, and see if Sounders can now find a little bit of temper and possession as Dallas try and get themselves back in the lead here as they put a little bit of higher press on the Sounders. They build out the back with Jackson Reagan, skips by Lamendi, little handball by Obrian got
free kicked for the Sounders. They sit here in the sixty third minute, nine fifty KGr am Toto Stadium, Frisco, Texas, Dallas one Sounders, one goal by Obrian the first half and a goal by Alex Roldan in this second half to tie it up. As we see a couple of changes. Albert Rosneck on the field for new who We'll see if that will slide new Woo back and maybe read Baker Whiting up the field on the left hand side and see a little surprise and see Ruidy has come off the field. Look
a little bit disillusion there in his response to Brian Schmitzer. As Christian Roldan comes on the field, and I know every single supporter of the Sounders and US national team support will be through all to see that player on the field. Yeah, and I think for the Sounders just having Christian roll done back now, he's huge. I think Christian slides immediately to that right hand side
all the Sounders. He'll take the position that Albert Russknack was feeling somewhere Christian rod Done played in front of his brother addiced so many times before he knows what to do there. It looks like the Sounders will slide Redbeck of Whiting up to left midfield actually yeah, into left midfield and who Morris up front
yet? And Jordan goes straight to number nine. So I think with Rudy as the way he'll be explained to me as you have another game on Wednesday and we're gonna need you down on Wednesday in Colorado, I think that will be the way. Can they explained to Ruddyaz? But yes, they did not look happy coming off as a player of that caliber and that's that level probably never will well. It's been a quiet night for Rudy das he had an early shot in the game, a little turn and shot easily collected and
saved by Pars. Fourteen touches on the game for Ruy Daz, and certainly you mentioned Steve Harland is a great example. He doesn't touch the ball all
game and then scores a goal or two. And Raoul has that quality to that was in his night, I think, and he probably understands that as well and thinks another service isn't coming, and I can understand why this stub has been made, knowing that in just a few days to have another opportunity but for brandishmis and what a luxury not to close off back into one one and I'll be able to bring on two of your very best players it knew
who and Christian Rodan, who has been so missed, and just having Christian on the pitch, it frees up the likes of Nikoladero, Jordan Morris, even jar Parlor because Christian covers so much ground. He gives you a lot offensively and defensively. Just a very very cerebral, smart player who knows how to make an impact in the game. And so it has been long overed
you we've been waiting for him to come back. So it's good to see him back out there, and hopefully he can get back up to speed very quickly, because if he does, it'll feel like a new signing, and a very very good signing at that well. Sounders FC Socket is presented by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders FCS. We get here in the sixty sixth minute Dallas one Sounders one Zariola clashed with new who We're still on
the debt game, some treatment by the medical staff. For FC Dallas, of course Frisco, Texas being the home of the Soccer Hall of Fame, and for the Sounders, it's all about trying to get some points and results on the board. Performances are important. It's about points to get them up
that board. And with Saint Louis struggling today in their game against Houston, losing currently one goal to nil, and as things started going to today's game, St. Louis sat on forty eight points, Sounders on forty one, and certainly we'll hope the Sounders can get that second goal, get three points. We'll make that run in a lot more interesting and certainly the last game of the year in Saint Louis for the Sounders, it could be a big
one. Zariola walks off the field getting some treatments. Still, we're seeing a couple of potential changes for Dallas. See Fariol is going to be able to continue. But you see Tafari coming on the field with the CLU products spent a year at CLU. He's gonna come on. He's been a real strong player. Bran Schwetcher in the game in middle of July, and some of his comments before that game highlighted Tofari's being a real player of promise and
quality in this league. He got the game winner in the ninety seventh minute. I guess Austin the game before the sound has played Austin and got a'll win down there, zariol Is gonna the Captain's just gonna take his time coming back on the field. The ball gets knocked down the line, so bobmcall comes on off the field and Tafari on the field as Steve as the sounder start to look at the setup. It's about Jordan Morris is pacing behind and
potentially opening up the back four. Yeah, you have to assume Essidetis will throw more numbers forward, which you leave a bit more spacing behind. They'll become a bit more adventurous because they really need you have to go for three points. And it does not look like I'm not sure if that's Areola again, he's gone down. If it is, does not look like he'll be
able to continue. That is Areola. And unfortunately the knock he took from low who in invertily to his knee, it looked like tried to run it off but the moment he received the ball day since look I can't do it and he goes down and it's unfortunate. Never want to see a plague get injured. Essidetis will be forced into a change here. But yes to your point on Jordan Morris, it makes sense. As a game gets stretched, who better than to have Jordan Morris in terms of stretching the back line and
giving you more of a vertical option. I think that's why he's got up top and Rudy as came off well hazers him and z the number nine has
come on the field as a subbing that a previous substitution. We'll see what Ariola he's missed through injury this season, so hopefully nothing too serious for the Dallas man coming in from DC United in January of twenty twenty two, then Tijuana for five seasons before DC United played a little time in Swansea, which we know Jordan Morris has some experience and usually bad memories turning his acl down there a Zariel does make way make for his substitution as Knew, who makes
his statement coming off the bench knocks out paul Aariola. The substitute substitution of the Dallas will will need to happen through injury, but Steve, it's getting in the sixty ninth seventieth minute the Sounders with Jordan Morris, with Christian rold darn, it's about betting him in and also setting up the foundation for what coming up next in terms of Colorado away. And I think the game's actually gone well. He's second off a branch mess at the moment he score.
You know, they've been injuries and stoppages and substitutions hasn't allowed Dallas to build any kind of momentum to try and get back into the game. So now you're approaching the final twenty minutes plus whatever we get for stoppage time. Here's well tuned and well poised for the Sounders to really make a portion or you've
got fresh night. The Christian roll down knew who won't be shy to get forward if when he has to. Nikoladero in behind Jordan Morris has been a good combination over the years as well, So I think for the sound is here, it's a team that's set up to win, and you still have a bet an Freddy Montero on the bench that you can bring on if needed as well. The Sounders trying to thread them kneel with Billy Baker wiretson, flash your bodies middle of the field. JP comes away with it. Wheferee
given no foul sounds, Flick it down the line to Ladera. Sounders keep going. Ball in behind Jordan Morris collects it. It's near side the right right channel, about eighteen yards from the end line. Ball knocked out by LADERA serious Christian roll down on clash abotis hopefully nothing too serious. He's gonna catch up in one of those subs for FC Dallas. When Ariola made away, it was Eugene Answer who came on the field. The guard named signed
in July, played in the Dree Premier League. Ninety six games played, seventeen goals scored in that league. And take a look at Christian Rodan, little smash in the face and can we have two concussions. That's the last thing you wanted to see. Listen, We're gonna hope he's just a little saw dare to his jaw, Christian Rodan. But wow, I mean it's inadvertent, but that's a pretty strong hit, we said. And you never see Christian rod Down stay down. If Christians down, it means he really
is feeding something. But seems to be okay. Trainer Paul is over there talking to him, and Christian Rodan seems to be getting back to his feet and he's going to walk off on his own power here, So a good sign. But yes, a player who's been dealing with concussion issues for the past few months here getting helpboll in your face right away after coming on isn't a good sign. But that's to see him up and jog in, and that's a good sign for the Sounders. Let's keep our fingers crossed that I
think the worst couple of shakes of the head by Christian roll Down. Hopefully it's frustration for the flailing arms far fand it was Ladero, not the ball out of bounds. And therefore FC Dalls are going to knock it all the way back to Yama and the Saunders are gonna build again deep in their half of the field. New on that left hand side. Now coming off the bench, as read Baker Whiting, cists, man, we're gonna make a
comment. That was read Baker Whiting's first assist and first point. Here's MLS career for the Sounders, So congratulations the young man fightful time to do it. As the medical staff continue to speak with Christian rolled down and having a quick word. I think the medical staff are both FC Dallas and the Sounders a conversation. They know the history right now of Christian Roll. Dana Bran Schwanza talk heavily about his return. It was going to be when he's comfortable,
when things are one hundred percent clear. The Sounders coming balled down the line, tries to find Jordan Morris in behind. It's gonna be a goal kick. FAFC Dallas does it get here in the seventy third minute Toyota Stadium, Frisco, Texas, nine fifty KGr AM Dallas one Sounders one Sounders FC sockey is presented by Provident, Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders. FC double the subs still for Sounders. We'll see if Christian Roll Danna is going to
be in good shape. We certainly hope so. I think some of the guys at halftime mentioned the quality of Montera certainly could be a threat and the ability to keep that balled and the attack in third of the field we've seen Paul Rothrock come on. It's called that winning golf course against Houston and other Texas team. One of his first games for the Sounders getting that gold in eighty ninth minute, player that's got minutes over the last couple of weeks off
the bench. The ball goes down the line, is near side the left. To answer, who bundles the goal scorer Alex Royal darn Over. I think sinister there the ftdals Man pulls up the Sounders right back and Sounders have it the feet of Stephan Fry. Gold kick for the Sounders here in the seventy fourth minute, Christian Christian Royal Daran's more frustrated as he speaks to the official about the flailing arm and nothing get called and anything else or seems in
good shape. It's fine up to get back back on the field, and I know all the players are going to be thrilled that he's back out there. Ball goes down the line, answers unable to collect it and Steve it's ober Vargas got a lot of games so far. How do you feel his development is happening? Alongside JP, alongside Albert Roseneck Fels games in the right place for his development right now. Yeah, and I think Albert enough since
he broke through this team. I think sometimes a young player comes in and you can do it enough just by not making mistakes and being sort of compass, and we've seen it laughter. I think what made Albert different was he had he had a little bit more there wasn't expect today he could get on the ball and carry the ball and try to make things happen. I think he's learning from one of the masters next to JP. The you can't really
play next to a better setting midfield partner. I think the injury Albert had a while back that's setting back a little bit. While you're starting to see signs of him coming back really well. Went away with his youth national team and had a really good tournament, and I think he's had a good game today. You know that hasn't really put a foot wrong. And sometimes sometimes as a young player, the unless you say the name that, unless you
knows them, it's actually means they're doing well. He's getting in there in the midfield, especially in the engine room, get a job done, win boards and give it up to the more maybe creative special players in the Nicknaderos and Albert Rustnack's I think he's done great. I think the culture staff certainly believes in him. I think JP likes playing next to him because for a long time it seemed there will be JP and Rustnack in order to fit order
Q guys onto the pitch. But this is the business end of the season and branch Metzer had a lot of players to choose from and he went with Vargo, So that shows us how he feels about him. Well. Unfortunate timing for the young man last year. Got Yeah came on as a sub in the CCL Final for JP when he got that ACL injury and played wonderfully. As the sound has won that game. Loomin field that memorable game the CCL Championship, first American team to ever do that. We raised the banner
against Portland, of all people back in June of twenty twenty two. Is the Sounders have it deep in the Dallas half of the fields they try and
build out. We'd Baker white and left hand side whips it in the sound with his right foot flicked in by Jordan Morris, easily collected by Pars but god played by the Sounders good patient build up eastern quality of this time by the right foot a red baker Whiting find Jordan Morris, but the flighted header finds the desty DALs goalkeep who rolls in outs Ferrara builds it will sloppy in possession by Ferrara, chops down Ladera. Ladera gets his body between ball and
player. Sounders have a free kick for the yards from the end line, just left of center. Opportunity for the Sounders on this set piece. A goal to the Sounders in twenty twenty three from set pieces and peks, because we know being away from home, it's the quality of delivery attacking the ball we saw key on in the first half. Mccorner kick hit the cross above for Dallas. The sign it's gonna be Ladero over the ball with his left foot, comes in middle of the park, all the way across, bounces
through a goal kick for Dallas. Disappointing delivery on that free kick. Let's see if that's when you need those big players to give you something more, some better quality. Yeah, but as we approachiate the final fifteen or so with time added on, you're gonna need to make more of those opportunities,
they're gonna be few and far between. You. Maybe you have three or four more set pieces, if you're lucky, maybe one or two chances in the run of players where the quality has to just be the level of concentration, of focus, all those small things just have to be there as your approach towards the end. And that goes some Wolf teams and he knows that you get the likes of Gaymon Jackson Reagan going forward for a set piece.
The delivery has to be there. But this game is finally poised. I think both teams are well positioned to try and get the win in as the Derro's found against whether the Sounders will get a chance almost immediately from a similar angle to put a boarder back into the box and it maybe a game where you have to just depend on a set piece to try and win it. And the Sounders will have another chance there shortly yellow card Obriann Ldero again,
who just knocked it around the corner. The goal score Fordells tonight goes down to the deck rest challenge. Another chance for the Sounder is to put some quality into the box. They other big players they have Jackson Reagan gamer up for this. Jordan Morris is strong in the airs, worked on his heading over the last couple of years. As we know, the ball comes in the Sam's a good delivery, flicks up in the air, a key on comes through christ Your roll Garden, bounces around and it just goes wide.
It was about the same position as brother found himself in for his goal. Landed at the foot of Christian Roll dar On. The volley just dragged it along the six yard box instead of hitting the target. Ball bounced around, eventually finds itself over the end line. To see a replay. It's a good stripe back Christian Roll darns. The ball bounces around, it comes off the flailing leg of far Fun. I think you eventually got the right touch. Last time in that same area he got a touch, the took it
past pass. This time he goes out for a Sounders corner kick. Dallas come away there was quickly played by the Sounders. Killa Amendi plays around the corner to far Fan and to Obrim walls down the line righting from the Dallas bench, closed down by Christian Roll darn Im Ferrera who goes flying into the
Dallas bench. So we just throwing for the Sounders. For a Sounders fans, as Sounders FC scores anytime after the eighteenth minute during a home match, you'll have the chance to win free lasic surgery from Sharp Vision Modern lasic and lens. Sign up today. A SOUNDERSFC dot com slash laser focus ball comes in from New Who So a couple of crosses have come all the way through
in the first half, bundling the back by ouncer. Eventually the system referee puts his flag up, sitting about setting about five yards away from that color. You'd think he could make that choice. You're waiting for the referee.
Referee gave nothing. Eventually, it says the referee posts his flag up for a Sounder's got corner kick freak and another stepance here for the sound As we saw two from Nikoladero, one not so good, one very good, which led to a Christian roll down chance which then was a sort of a scramble where yea mine Jackson Reagan had an interesting and the Sounders couldn't quite capitalize.
It's from the other side now, so if it's Nikon a derris An in swinger, it looks like it's gonna be Jp, so another outswinger here, but Reagan's gone forward, Yama's gone forward. Jordan Morris is in there, as you mentioned, much more improved in the air, so the sound is certainly having a chance of from set pieces. Can I make one of these counts? Well? Last time with Ladera it was good delivery, almost a
chancellor Sounders to score a goal. This time it's gonna be Jp six yards from the end line, whips it in with his right foot, pushed down by pass thoughts to the top of the box, slashed over the top. It's gonna be a Dallas goal kick. He goes off the right foot of Ladera, goes high and wide, remains Dallas on. Sounders want Steves a quanty and for Nikoladeros only's week afore. You understand that, but you still want a bit more from him there the balls coming out so and the edge
of the eighteen yard box. Maybe one of those you dump back into the box into the danger zone. Give your big men you've come out from the back, a chance to get after something in the air that Dara went for the strike. If you pull that off in the top corner, it's a game winner and it's outstanding. It's all off the week, but on that occasion, I Darro gets a horribly wrong the ball flies over the crossbar and he's still got a feeling in this game that there is a winner here.
The Sounders at the moment look more likely. Stephen Fries had a very quiet second half, especially since the sounder squad not seen too much from SC Dallas here. The substitutions that've helped with sounders, the energy from New Who and Christian roll Down has been noticeable. It's a bit more dynamic place of the sound is here and the game is there to be one. It just depends kind of sounds, do they have the quality and is there enough time on
the clock. But he would view it as two points lost, especially considering the sound is the position you are in the season, where you are, how other results have gone today, So there should be some urgency in the final ten minutes or so with time added on to try and really push for that winning goal without sacrificing too much. Defensively, Dallas have the ball with
ilra Amendi middle of the fields. He drives forward, plays the ball into answer it comes across, tries to play the ball square finds him and Eth to Obrianne to Ferrera down the right hand side to Juanqua, collisioned by Nu who's a clash of bodies again Knew holding his left ankle. Ball goes out at bounds on the far side the Dallas right for a Dallas throwing six shards
from the corner flag gets it in quickly to Obrianne. That to Ferrera's gonna played in his right foot, no real pressure, eventually cleared by the Sounders. Flicked around the corner by Ladero to read Baker, Whites and Sounders now in transition. They motion themselves forward. Loose ball by Obed Varks expected New to be behind him, he wasn't. Who was inside played the ball back blindly. It was Ferrer who jumped on it. Eventually recovered by the sounders.
But it's gonna be a Dallas throwing about seven the ask from the corner flag on the far side. The Dallas right throws the ball in quickly to Jean Qui loin square ball to key On, trying to find Ferrarian behind,
Intercepted by the Sounders. Newho los it lays it back to Jackson Reagan towards the end line there's left foot is able to wrap his left foot around the ball, clears it headed by junquer All, bouncing around, eventually collected to the feet of Ferrero, plays it in with his right foot, headed clear by Yema. Middle of the field. Jordan Morris is able to collect nice chrishion ball to this near side the right to Christian roll down, great square
ball into Ladero. Ladero the chance to feed it in behind left it a little short. He's able to give far Find a chance to get him behind. There was real state behind Steve for Ladero to roll it into Christian roll down a little short in the past. Yeah, and that's a surprise. That's what that's that's his bread and butter. That's what Nikoladero does well. Space in front of him, winning runners, which Christian roll done is played
a board into the space. And you rather see that puss overhit overhea the ball litical out play rather than under hit and give it the opponent a chance to hit you in transition. But we've rolled down on Morris moorefront and Dare and Darrel's gotta be better. It's gotta be Bettero's moments We'll catch your sound is back in action on Wednesday, September twentieth at six thirty pm against the
Colorado Rapids. You can watch by the MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app or listen on nine fifty KGr AM and LAY thirteen sixty AM in Spanish with the Providence Swedish prematch show starting at six pm. I'm speaking of that Colorado again this Wednesday, Steve, we will think about Bryan Schmitzer. Now
I'm not looking he's making any substitutions. Who's going to play this one out with the players he's got, And then maybe if you expect some changes on Wednesday in personnel or we got to that point of the season where two games in four days, the players can handle it. They've got to rest until the thirtieth in Nashville, They've got next weekend off. It's about putting your best team out to get the points. Yeah, I think you'll see the
core of the group he go out in Colorado. But I also do think with Brian Schmizer, you know, Frish and Roland, if he gets through tonight, then maybe not from the start, but more minutes. For example, you know Readbaker Wading has done nothing wrong, but I'd be surprised if for new who doesn't start that game as well. I think for branch Mercer, he's giving himself that room the likes of Montero or Ebert's staying fresh.
She took off through with Das with a lot of time left on the club right with Das will probably start on Wednesday as well, he'll be fresh. So if you win that game in midwek and you're okay the last few games four points, suddenly it doesn't look so bad. But I still do you feel there's enough time on the clockhead and this is not a very dangerous actually
that is team Fithn Fries had an extremely uneventful night. A couple of chances here, and there's some corners the cross bar, but it's not been waves and waves of attack. Sometimes you go on the road in the MLS and you're gonna be under siege for a moment. That moment hasn't come quest see that is and the sounds have been below apart. Were still pretty much in control or comfortable at the minimum comfortable. So there is still time to find
a winner. And if you can't, Yes, at ten to ten to Wednesday night, and I think branch mercer has to put out the strongest team possible. Ball gets rolled back to pass who does nothing more than just launch
it long, but again answ who picks the ball up. Sounders have been vulnerable with the ball over the top tonight a couple of times in the first half, and simple clearance by the goalkeeper finds it to the feet of Answer inside the Sounders half of the field, and Dallas collected with keion All at
his feet. Was it to juanqua Obrienne came off the field just a moment ago for a substitute with Dante Seeley, who got his first start versus Saint Louis just a couple of games ago, son of former FC Dallas player Scott Seely. The Sounders habit middle of the field in possession shot Passoladero, who finds read Baker White and the assist man for Alex Wildan's fifty seventh minute equalized resist it here at the eighty eighth minute, Dallas one, Sounders one.
As Steve does it make it more frustrating that the manner in which conceded and the lack of threat that Dallas are provided. Absolutely, because you look at it, you went into this game thinking okay, it's a winnable game. Now having seen eighty eight minutes of it play out, it was definitely a winnable game. It still is, and I think for the Sounders looks that is they are what they are, not one of the top teams in the
West. They're ninth place for a reason. Yes, they can be dangerous giving time and space, but had the sound has been anywhere near what the sound Is can be, this would have been a pretty comfortable three points. So I think if it ends up being one one, your view has two points dropped. We left someone on the table there. But for the Sounder is you can't play much worse than you did in the first half and you
still manage to escapeable point. You've got to put positive on it. As long as you can follow up with a good result on Wednesday, then it's four points from two games on the road. You'll take that. FC Dallas in possession fartside the right goes into ceil. It gets bundled over by JP. Be free kick for Dallas. L Romendi walks over. JP feels but stress on his right calf. We'll see if the Sounders are going to make an adjustment to this substitution, which the jeep is a little bit slow to
get to his feet. Ariaga is ready to get substituted. Let me if you read Baker Whiting, the sound is going to shift to a three potentially with Oriaga coming on the field, and that substitution is going to happen. New will slide up most likely to the left wing back position as a sounder shift to a three and it's gonna be Oriaga is going to slide on the left hand side. Read Baker Whiting comes off. Shall Paolo promotion to the
eventually needed a potential substitution. It's going to come off and attend to you here in the nineteenth minute. It's going to come on and try to solidify the central of the field with Oben Vargas. With a couple of results as we look back through the Western Conference as we get to this vital time of the season, Vancouver five or three points against Toronto winning two one tonight. Houston, we're leading one goal to nil. Saint Louis ha got that equalizer.
It's one one Houston. Saint Louis Minnesota. Kansas City, Kansas is leading one goal to nil. It's Colorado nil, New England nil. And of course here at Frisco, Texas in the ninetieth minute, s Dallas one, Sounders one, Dallas have it in possession. The brgu rolls it back to Pars to fury showing possession. Zilla amended playing full ninety here they're getting signed in August. The extra miles stoppa chime is gonna be seven minutes,
seven minutes for the Sounders to find that winning goal. It's good to see Christian roll Darn back on the field, having such a stop start last three or four months with concussions and international duty. Jackson Reagan comes across the board, gets lotted inside, rolls over the end line, second fright lights to go out of bounds. It's gonna be gold kick. Sounders remins Dallas one, Sounders one steams like quality. I think that sort of sums up this
second half from both teams. There where the intent has been there, the quality has been lacking, you know, thankfully for the Sounders on that occasion, see could not find the run of for Era. It's either the past has been overhead or the run hasn't been there. And it's been the same for both sides. Really still enough time on the clock for either team to
find a winning gold. But overall as a game, it's lacks that quality in the final third, neither side really stepping up and showing that they have what it takes to really create and put the opponent under pressure. So but as sound as it is, again, as you said, it probably will
feel like two points drop just because we've not seen enough from Dallas. But the Sounders maybe left it too little too late to kind of turn on the style and start playing somewhere close to their potential after that lack last year first half. Well back in middle of July it was Dallaser came to lumin Field earned a one one tie. It's a sound as tonight going into Dallas's home turf. We're sitting here at one one, getting into the ninety second minute,
We've got seven minutes about a time. Sounders have it ball in the hands of Alex roll Dance, throw it into Obed Vargas shrugged off the ball by answer, but the sound has retained possession. But Ansers away from Ladero isn't able to control the ball and it's been the story of the night. So slopping us in possession. It feels like the Sounders had another gear or
two to go into it. Based on what we've seen. That first fifty three minutes against Poland was I think Brad Evans has mentioned it on our calls, mentioned in your podcast, Steve's quite the best the Sounds are played in a long time. There was unfortunate for that red car that happened when it did and gave the momentum back to Poland, and then they got those two goals to tie up. Yeah, and maybe the worst thing was the break. I'm a after it. The Sounds would have loved maybe another game three
or four days later, maybe the next weekend. I think have not played since that time, a little bit rusty, so you know, you never want to make excuses in this game, but I think that's a part of it here for the Sound is a lot of time off. Yes, training is good, but at this stage of the season you want to be playing games. When to be playing games every three or four days, that's the
business end of the season. It would it be nice to sort of take that sour taste, to have the mouth from the Portland result get back on the pitch into a game, a competition right away. We're not giving that chance, and so tonight it's taking a sound as a while to get close to anywhere near what you'd expect the sounds to look like. And you have to hope that with the game against cat A rod Or coming so quickly as well, we won't see as much rustiness and the team would be a little
bit sharper and in a position to actually get a good result. A better result well, certainly don't leave us. At the end of this final whistle. Jackson felts with Diego and Pete from Flat Sak are gonna break it all down after this one one current result will hopefully be able to celebrate a win. We've got four minutes remaining of this seven minutes about a timers she'd give away by the sounders. It's gonna be answer. It's gonna kind of whip
past Yema, but it's the Sounders able to quell that attack. We come away with it with Josh at Tencia down the line this time George Morris, the first time we've really seen Jordan Morris opened up his legs, get down that right hand side. But okay, look at the story of the night has to go backwards, no real support forwards. Free kick given his answer barreled into the back of Ohberd Vargas, who's got to hold the back of
his leg well nasty on the back of his Akillers heel. It's gonna be a Sounders free kick thirty yards from the end line, right of center. Chance for the Sounders to put some quality into the eighteen yard box as we get here in the ninety fourth minute in Frisco, Texas, Dallas one Sounders one. Fifty seventh minute equalizer by Alex rol Darn got the Sounders back into the game. The first point the first assist for young Reed Baker Whiting Sounders
career. It's knew who's up, Jordan Morris just inside the box. Also it flicks the far post, Josh Tensil cushions it back to ladera pretense. Here given away cheaply, and here come Dallas in transition down the right hand
side. Tensio comes back and all to nick the ball away from him and z and it's gonna be the FC Dallas throwing on their right hand side, twenty yards away from the corner flag to play the ball down the line to seeing too easy right now to get the ball into the box cleared by Jackson Reagan up high and long over the far sideline for a Dallas throw. Sounders leven men behind the ball deep in their half of the field, try to protect this one one score line. As the ball gets knocked long towards the
far corner flag, it rolls over the end line. It's gonna be a Sounders goal kick here in the ninety six minute Dallas one, Sounders one. You know, I think it's looking like we're gonna end of a one one draw and you've got say, probably the fair result. You know. FC Dallas wore slightly better team in the first half, and that was more so because the sound has really failed to show up. Sounders have up their level
a little bit here in the second half and worthy of a gold. Yes have been pushing a bit more, but still knowing near the high standards that Bran Schmitzer has for his men, or that this fan base has for his club. So I think in the end you'll take the one one where you really only can judge this result after Wednesday. If you're able to get a
good win on Wednesday, then it doesn't look too bad. But if you fail to play well or build on this on Wednesday, then it's massive, massive two points Strucked referees cause a halt to the Sounders attack and I think Jordan Morris was as frustrated as I was watching that it's not something unless it's a head injury. The referee is not in a position to stop the attack. Let's up to the player and the team with the ball. Referee did
stop the ball, the Sounders will retain some possession. It's Jordan Morris had the ball at his feet when the referee but the whistles to his mouth. Christian roll Dan the Dara is looking for a little bit more space away from the Dallas players. John Morris said, easy control of the ball, very
singing, a look too long. I think for this the Sounders get the ball back into play with Alex roll Daran the goal scorer in the fifty seventh minute to his brother Christian back on the field substitude in the second half to Tafar with the former CLU player and locks the ball long over the top. Chase down by Yama tries a cushion the ball towards the FU corner flag.
He's eventually clears it down the line out for a n FC Dallas throw about twenty yards from this near corner flag on the Dallas left keyon throws it back to junqua Is this the last chance for FC Dallas in this game? As we get past the ninety seven minute mark off seven minutes of added time, It's gonna be a long throw by junqua In It comes as foot came up in the air. No well for a given. It pounced twice in the box. Not cleared well by the Sounders. They sus they could away in
transition. Attend you've got some time in space driving down. It's near side the right Knew wide up in the fast light, goes into Jordan Morris plays the ball into Knew and it's cut away. Why didn't Jordan Morris shoot? And that was the last chance for the Sounders as a referee put the whistle to his mouth. Goals by Obrian in the fourteenth minute and Alex Roldan for the Sounders to tie it up in the fifty seventh minute. But steve a
break for the Sounders. Jordan Morris top of the box, try to play at square, was cut out. He had a chance to shoot him the goal and that was the game right there. Tremendous counterattack attention or finds Jordan Morris for one of the few times a night where he really was able to get in behind and guess operation. I'm sure knew who was screaming in his hair. That may have going to join his mind. But in that situation
there, you've got to take it. You know you're over time already, the games on the line, and we'll we'll again stee a repit hate for joining Morris. It's a touch forward in a finished name, maybe a first time finish the paston knew who did it was defending world. The angle wasn't as open as he wanted to. I think John and Morris you got to
shoot this first time goalkeeper even gaged John Morris and their pulse there. I think he had made his mind up to look for knew who regardless, and in the end it was Kyle. But what a chance that would have been, Oh, smash and grab. Oh, he would have been an amazing way to end a game. It wasn't to be disappointed in the end to drop two points like that for the Sounders, but another chance to get back
at it on Wednesday, well hard fought draw. In the end Sounders had a chance of the death to try and put the ball in the back of net to get the three points. But they go on the road again in midwek and to go to Colorado you to find a vital three points. They continue to push their way up the Western Conference. There was a goal by Alex Roldan that tied it up in the fifty seventh minute by a great delivery by Reid Baker Whiting and the Sounders move on. Jackson, Felts, Diego
and Pete will be back at Plastic to pick it up. I break it all down after this break from Tarda Stadium in Frisco, Texas. It finishes

partner of Seattle Sounders FC. The Sounders FC post match show starts now from Chrisco Texas FC Dallas one and your Seattle Sounders one. But where we start is the very end, you know, thirty seconds is Jackson filled Seago audio pete viewing here from Plastic Pub here in South Lake, Union for the post match show. Wonderful time here at Plastic tonight. But where we start with this postmatch show is the very end, thirty seconds before the final whistle.
I was very good, happy, you know, kind of clapping my hands for one to one. You know what? All right, we pick up a result on the road. Tough first half, unfortunate in many ways, but then you get a second half gold from Alex stroll down, fantastic assist from Redbegger widing, some better performances from a lot of people, including a read. It's very good with a one point on the road results. And then where we started the postgame show is the final few moments of this match
where you have a counter attack and transition coming the other way. Josh Atensio brings it up the right side. He slides a really well positioned ball in to Jordan Morris, who's playing forward, and as we watched the play even on replay right here, Morris takes the ball and instantly looks to knew Who on his left instead of passed, or instead of taking a shot where he even had a decent angle for what could have been the game winning goal.
Pete'll start with U diego chim in two. I was very good thirty seconds before the final whistle with one one, and now I'm just angry because this is very very much could have been three points if Jordan Morris is a little bit more selfish there at the end. Well, we look at the last game Portland up two zero and then it ends up a two two tie, and so you feel like he's given away two points and this one the same. And honestly it's on that play there. Let's let's start with that.
Well, I'm listening to what you're saying, and I'm hearing knew Who versus Jordan Morris, right and who has one goal in his career, and George Morris has ten this year, and I'd just love to see Jordan just tuck it away. You know, it's a real good ball from INTENSI was a right weight and Jordan, you know, even with ten goals, he's a
self selfless player at times, and sometimes you gotta be selfish. He's in the spot now because they took rue Das off to be that guy to put that away, and you could see, you know, he hits it. Uh it gets blocked and and then five seconds later referee blows whistle and Jordan just collapses to the ground, his face down. He's got it. He knows he should have taken that. You know, next time you'll he will
take that, I'm sure. But uh yeah, Seattle, you know, it probably deserved to be a one one, although although Dallas had a couple of good chances, we did too as well. Kilan's off the post in the first half was a good one, but Christian Maldon smash one right across the goal mouth that that got you know, pinballed around a little bit. So Seattle had it's chances to tuck it away. But it probably should have
ended up one one. But Seattle's got to take advantage of that, right And it's not that that last chance with Jordan Moore's probably a microcost him of the entire game. Diego where we just didn't step up and embrace an opportunity and be confident and put it away. Yeah, and I agree with both of you. And I think you know, Steve was mentioning during the broadcast
like the big names needs to show up. This is one of those opportunities that the big names in this case, Morris needs to finish that play right. And I think it's one of whom knows it right exactly, and that's why he you know, he stayed on on the field after the He knew he had, you know, he knew that chance. And I think he's one of those opportunities that you have to be selfish. He's you know,
he's a forward. He knows how to score goals. Unto your point, Pete, you know, instead of you know, thinking about knew who you have to put that in. He even asked for the ball right when yeah, you know, for that movement, I need to take the shot. But I think, you know, aside of that play, and I agree, it's like, you know, feels you know, like a like a loss, even though it's a tie. I think second half was way better
than Yeah, yeah that the first half. I think first half Honestly, it was a really bad first half from the entire team and we didn't see much from from from anyone, and you know, Dallas had a few opportunities even to go, you know, to on top. But I like the I think that the reaction Christian Roldan coming back to the field to me was
like the highlight. Definitely, not only the tie, but you know, one of the most important players of the entire squad, who Christian Roldan is, not only because what he brings to the team, but also you know, as a human being and how well he knows all the players. It was good to see and I think that's that's a good thing that the Sunders can take from this game. And at the end of the day a tie.
Considering the situation and we talked about before the match, it's still a good result I need to steal, uh, you know, getting a point in a complicated field that that it's you know, Toyota Stadium. Yeah. I think I can only imagine Jordan in the locker room right now and guys just looking at him saying, hey, be greedy, we want you to be greedy. That is a spot where he scored most of his goals right between the posts, right. Uh, it was probably Colorado yards Colorado Western
Conference Championship twenty sixteen. He scores almost that that goal from the other side. Yeah, yeah, So it's unfortunate and too boy to come in there. Had they put that away and to get three points and walk out, Seattle would have felt like they really kind of stole three points, right, because it wasn't their best performance. You're right, second half was much better. We're going forward. We talked at halftime about what do we need to
do. We need to have some penetrating balls going forward and Frank Jordan Morris had about two runs in the second half, both once he was up front both and maybe the last six minutes. We just need that from Jordan. That's his gonna play to your strength. So Fry didn't have too much to do in the second half, which is good. But I'll tell you what. And we're still in second, but we're at twenty nine games. Vancouver one today, they're now in the third, but they're on twenty seven games.
So there's this log jam between numbers two and eight in the Western Conference. Is it's still all to play for for all of those teams? Well, and we're watching scores in terms of what else is happening in the Western Conference where LAFC just kicked things off against the LA Galaxy, a game where I mean, listen, LAFC has been not playing their top lately, but LA Galaxy they should, they should take care of business and that one.
So we're watching that one to see what happens there where LAFC is currently on forty one points. We're now on forty two. LFC at forty one with the draw right now, so if they won, they would jump Seattle Vancouver now in third place at forty one. So exactly, it's one of those things where we are just almost waiting to see these other teams catch up in games and see what happens at that moment. But right now at twenty nine points, Sounders at forty two, twenty nine games, forty two points,
it's a it's a tricky situation. Really quick diego go ahead, yeah no, just quickly. I think one of the biggest concern to me from the Sounders is I still haven't seen a full ninety right, like a good performance on the team, because you know, it's okay, it's good to have a good forty five minutes in the second half. But you need a full performance, full ninety to get the three points and to your point, like this keeps happening, then you'll you'll start to see other teams climbing on top
of the Sounders. Exactly. That's exactly right. Well, we are late. We have a lot to get to you here in the postmat show. I'll quickly tell you two things. match shows. You're live Flat Sick Pub in South like Union Jackson Fields, CEO Audio and Pete Viewing. We are here breaking down a Sounders in Dallas, one one draw. We'll tell you that tonight's Toyota Man of the Match is Altroldon, the goal scorer. Your local Toyot dealers are Project present tonight's Man of the Match also our Emerald Queen Casino Play the Match has to be Altroldon's goal. Beautiful cross from Reed Baker Whiting who took on and beat Paul
Ariela Veteran, a really excellent MLS player for many years. Reed Baker Whiting takes him on on the left wing, beats him, gives him a little shove and then just a little touch, perfect pinpoint cross to the other side of the field where at the far post, Alex Trelan follies it, puts it into the back of the net and got the Sounders their goal in the
fifty seventh minute. The Play the Match is presented by Emerald Queen Casino, the betting capital of the Northwest, and you know in our in our few moments here in this segment of the post match show at Pete and Diego had loved to get some comments on Reedbaker Whiting, because this is a guy who's been a right back, right winger at pretty much all the levels. We've
only seen him there. He's gotten a couple of touches in his career on the left side who that mostly came with the United States Youth national team Unite teens and so he's played a little bit on the left. But Pete coming into this game on that left side first half pretty rough, to be honest. Second he looked like a much much better player. Seemed to give that comfortability, and it correlated because the Sounders as a whole look better in the
second half. Yeah. The fun thing is that cross was real good quality. It was pinpoint. It was floated perfectly in front of Alex, so he could run right onto it. That's across that he can hang onto and say, okay, I've just got to replicate that. Right, we see it with Chew in a different way. Chew gets down and gets him behind and whips the ball across on the ground a lot more. But that was
a good quality ball. You're right. It took him a little bit to get into the into the game, and you know a lot of times coaches will say, hey, get your points, connect passes. He didn't connect as many passes. Right off the bat. He tried one little flick that didn't quite work, and then he hit a long ball down the sideline that
was over hit. So he was just a little bit unsettled. It is very good that he can go from the left back spot into the left midfield spot, that he can be one of those kind of players that Brian Spetzer can move the lineup around. So that is a very good thing. And you know, he's just got to build off of Every minute he gets is more time for him to get more confident, no better what he can do, just like Jackson Reagan. Jackson Reagan figured out what he can and can't
get away with. We don't see him having the reckless fouls that he had or over commitments that he had in the first few games of his season last year. So yeah, let's hope that's a good sign for Reid Baker Whiting and just got to continue to go. But the cross was perfect, you know, that's that's across you know in the EPL that you would expect from
a quality winger. So the touch on that was perfect. Yeah, Yeah, it was properly weighted and up and over and you know, and that's not a you know, Nico hit a couple of crosses today that on free kicks, not in the run of play that we're too far right and or too short. So so that's a good ball and he's going to just say I've got to do that every single time. Yeah, and I agree,
and I think just too out on what you said, Pete. I think that Bryan Schmitzer and you know how he gave confidence, you know, to to still play the second half, and you know, gave that opportunity considering that the first half wasn't he's best, right, and then he shows up in the second rub him exactly right, and he you know, he could, he would. It would be like a you know, ah in decision at the end of the day. Brian decided to left him on the field
and then he you know, gave that. That's a good right because he wasn't performing in the first forty five and we we talked about it about it during the broadcast, and I think it's it's good too. He could he could overcome that, and now you know we're talking about a superb assist, right, Yeah, they kind of assist again. That's we need more of that, right, We've got to make sure that we continue to get put him in spots where he can hit those. Both of your sounders, it's
a one one final here at Frisco, Texas Toyota Stadium. As the Sounders get a result on the road. You talked about in the first segment though at final Chance from Jordan Morris, that's a lasting thought that at least be in my brain when when my head hits the pillow to night and the Sounders being potentially able to get three points. But at the end of the day, it's a result in the road and listen to anytime you can get a point on the road, I will take it to no matter what happens.
So we'll take you a break. We'll come back on the post match show and talk about what's next for the Sounders. It's a busy next few days ahead. We'll talk to you about all of it coming up next on Sports Radio and nine tick KJR AM. So what are you reading. I'm checking out the ratings on the new TVs and it looks like Samsung, LG and Sony got the best scores, just like last year. What about those new high dynamic range TVs? What a time to take a look ahead at what's next for your Sounders. Coming up on Wednesday, as the Sounders have two matches in the next seven days. Everyfore's gonna play next Saturday? I should say no, they're actually taking it off right now. They're off next weekend,
but then they're gonna be playing the following weekend in Nashville. So this game coming up Wednesday and then they get a little bit of a break. But this next Wednesday's match is gonna be in Commerce City, Colorado against the Rapids. That's gonna be a says here six thirty kickoff and six o'clock pre match show on Sports Radio at nine fifty kJ R. So Sannders in Colorado face the Rapids six o'clock pre six thirty kickoff. There you can listen here
Providence speech pre match show six o'clock kickoff, six thirty. Also Spanish language l Ray thirteen sixty and watch match by MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app. So, considering you don't have a match on Saturday, you know, you look at what happened here in this game. You're taking roll reyd he has off the field. JP didn't go the full ninety appert Russknack didn't go the full ninety. Pete would say to me that it's not that Brian
Spencer has to rotate a lot for this Wednesday game. He can keep a lot of the same top level formation and line up and make sure these guys go out and you go get three points against what is currently as we look at the standings, and you know, yes, Colorado is leading right now New England by a score of one nothing in the sixty second minutes. But as things stand right now in the Western Conference, Colorado is last place.
And it should be mentioned that yes, this Western Conference is tight right now, there's only eleven points that divide second place through thirteenth place. But Colorado is then all the way down nine points below thirteenth place, in last place, in fourteenth with twenty two points. This isn't a team that's in the last place just because they're close. This is a team that's in the last place. They are far in last place. So Pete, it says to
me, you don't need to rotate on Wednesday. You can go out top level formation, go get three points on the road. Yes, you can also say that. Brian Spenser might say to a couple of guys, Hey, I need you to do something right. You know you mentioned it diego, Hey, you gotta show up and give us something. You gotta score goals, right. Jordan Morris was more dangerous than Raoul ruy Diaz with the two runs that he did make up front. And you know what, I
apologize. I was thinking we had three games in eight days, and I kept thinking that in my mind. But you're right, So they've got to go guns of blazing on this one and give it everything. But it is about performance. I talked to Brian a while ago, a couple days ago, and he just said, hey, that's a team with and Robin Frasier. I think he did a great job in his four years, first two years, first two years, but this year they hadn't won a game in
seventeen. I think or won one game in seventeen. But what happens when and Chris Little now takes over? Right, he sounded he was with the Sounders with defiance and the Academy of or yup And so sometimes players there's a bump, and there is also they we're getting close to the end of the season. Who gets to be on the team again next year, Who gets renewed, who gets traded? So they're in a spot it's dangerous when it's
like that. And now they're ahead an New England in the sixty second minute something like lead, So they're my goodness, they're gonna get the win. Here appears to night if they hold on for the final thirty six minutes of this twenty six minutes of this game, well that's a New England team that's number two in the East. And there's the head coach bump that you're seeing. Yes, yeah, and that's it. And so there and they've got
there's no pressure on them. There's pressures on the Seattle Sounders. So cannot look past that game in any way, and and the key is to jump on them right away. We didn't do it today, came back to bite us, uh, you know, in the Dallas games. So they've got to they gotta go. They're gonna get home tonight, They're gonna turn around
and be on a plane on Tuesday. They're planet altitude against a team that really has nothing to play for except pride, you know, a contracts, right, and then if Chris Little can get something out of them, right then then you in other words, these are bogy teams. You cannot look past them. Yeah, I think Tommy's going back to showing up the full nighty right, And I agree with both of you. There's no excuse against Colorado. You need to go and win the game. And also yeah,
I want to see especially the Sounders again. They're still in in second place Colorado. Yeah, they don't have anything to lose. But I think it's gonna be a you know, in paper, it's it's it's a winnable game. And we saw it also, you know, we knew that the schedule. Out of the three away games, Colorado was the winnable one, right,
So I think it has to be. But also they have to to show up from minute one and show that intensity, that urgency that p you mentioned, but for the entire game, right, not only when you're down one nil. You have to show that minute one and showing that you are also second in the conference and also that you're there to win at the MLS Cup, right to show that why Sounders, it's always competing to win championships. Good news, Sounders are unbeaten in their last four. Bad news.
Three of those four her draws. So we need to turn these draws in. The win could have been the death tonight can get the shot from George Morris. Wednesday in Colorado, last place team in the Western Conference. Yeah they had the head coach Pump. But I agree with both of you. No excuses go have a darn good performance because you don't have to play on
the weekend.
