Well good evening from Vancouver, British Columbia up here north of the border, here in Canada, where we are here with the Sounders preparing to face the white Caps here at beautiful BC Place. Welcome into the Sounders FC pre match Show presented by Providence Swedish official healthcare partner of Seattle Sounders FC. Jackson Feltz alongside the coach, Pete Fwing and the man who's spent so many games and so many times scoring goals here at BC Place, Kellen Row.
We are here for the next half hour before Danny Jackson and Brad Evans call Sounders white Caps. We can spend some time a little bit, maybe throughout the pregame show talking and referencing the one nothing when the Sounders had against the Houston Dynamo back down.
In Seattle alumin Fee over the weekend.
But gentlemen, we have to start with just the fact that we are here at BC Place. It's always fun to be on the road for these broadcasts be in the stadium watching the Sounders warm up. They will of course being the Bruce Lee kids today facing the white Caps, watching these teams warm up here in Canada.
Callen, as I mentioned.
You've scored goals here, You've had many games here. What are your thoughts here a BC place where we are to Knights.
Well, I'm just glad my mic works. I thought I figured my first away trip I coach would play some prank on me or something. As I talked through, maybe this isn't even in your head. So but it's exciting to kind of be back on the road again. Seeing the guys, you know, grab their coffees, go on their team walk and kind of chat with them a little bit. It brings me back a little bit, especially coming to a place like this where I had a lot of success both with Seattle and with New England.
We'll tell you, you know, we just come here as a family right like forty years ago. And it's a great city for the Sounder fans. If you're going to pick a road trip to go on, I am wild impressed by Vancouver. It's just such a great city. We went walked around today and a beautiful day. Of course, the weather's great, but this is a really fun place to come and spend a weekend and watch our team play. So the guys are fired up. Boy, I feel like they are quite locked in seeing them getting off the
bus or seeing them around the hotel. They know that we're getting out of the end. Three games to go right, and this is a super important one because it's fifth, verse seventh. It's really a six point game, and they all know it, and they all know it, and they're and they're starting to get I feel like it's coming for them. And the Houston game was a terrific win, one nothing. I'm sure Brian would like a couple more goals, but they buried that one and now it's onto this one.
Well, I'm sure you would have loved a little more possession in that second half. One nothing was a little bit frightening at times.
But Callen, as we kind of before we move on to talk about this white Caps game. That Houston game, well let's continue talking about that. The great defensive effort that they had to close out and get that one nothing win on Saturday, Well, it's an important game, I think mentally as well for the whole team.
You have to be able to close games out. It's not always gonna be pretty. Soccer. Teams are gonna figure out, teams are gonna you know, a player might not have the best game, but when you have your defense step up, when Stefan Fry steps up, and then leaders come together and you put together the last it could be twenty minutes, it could be the last forty five minutes, but it's
something that every team needs going into the playoffs. With that a little bit of confidence, especially on the defensive side. Now I'd love to see it on the attacking side as well. Can we get those you know, those half chances to be full chances. Can those full chances be goals instead of ones that Oh I wish I had that one back. You know, three games left against a
quality team. Now who's knocking at the door only three points behind with the game in hand, this is a huge game for the Sounders, not just to get a win, but to make a statement in the West.
It's massive. Well, this is obviously a busy three game week. The Sounders had Houston the one nothing win Vancouver to night. Then they'll be on the road again facing the Colorado Rapids this Saturday, so busy, busy eight days, three games stretch. Here the question Pete that I think a lot of us had going into this match, especially fans, is what does Brian Spencer do with his delta starting eleven? Because with all the fixure congestion this specific eight day stretch,
do you rotate the lineup at all? So what is Brian doing with his delta starting eleven?
Well, just one change and it was predicated on Pedro de la Vega's ability to play certain minutes, dictated by the fitness staff. Right, So for this one, it's very familiar with one change frying goal Alex roldn As you're right back, knew who your left back, Gomez Andrade reg and your center backs on the right. Georgie gets back on the field as a starter, his third start of the year. In the middle of the park. It's Christian and obed right in front of the back four, Paul
Rothrock on the left. Albert Rusnik will sit right under Jordan Morris.
Okay, and your Sounders bench includes Nathan josh Atensio, Pedro de Levega, we just mentioned, Jonathan Bell, Danny Mazowski, read Baker Y Andrew Thomas, Dannie Weeva and Dylan TeVeS quickly that we'll get into the province of the Swedish team health report. Ju alpollow out with a calf injury. Rolridez was questionable with a knee injury. He is not available. Today's team health report is presented by Providence, Swedish official
healthcare partner of Sounders FC. But callen one change from Saturday. Brian rolling with his guys. I'll be a pedro for Georgie, but rolling with the ten right there and expecting another good result.
This is the time of the season when it's crunch time and you're gonna go with your guys. And coach has been through this many of times. Even if you have hard games back to back, you trust your guys and you trust the guys that have gotten you this far. And I think in this league you have that first bit of the season to kind of get your fitness. Rotate some guys. Middle of the middle of summer as well,
it's hot, e'st a lot of travel. Now come into crunch time, it's it's eleven guys to maybe thirteen, maybe thirteen because of injuries, because of performances, whatever, it may be. And now with the the weird you know way we've been handling the Pedro de la Vega, I'm not convinced on it yet. I think it should have been. You know, I want to see him get multiple games in a row. I want to see him go closer to ninety than he has been.
Yep.
I understand that we want to keep him around and we want to keep him on the field and healthy. And that's something that you know, the fitness staff knows a lot of the ins and outs that we don't know. But you know, coach, what would you think And if you're in Brian's position, when you finally get this, this your your player, you know, the one that's supposed to come in and do all the work for you. And he's finally getting back to fitness, he's finally getting some
game time. The guys are starting to play well with him, and then you have to betch him right well.
And this is this is predetermined by the conditioning staff, the fitness staff. They're the ones who say, this is what he can do because he's been so stop. Start play a little bit, have an injury, play a little bit, have an injury. They're very very cautious, especially now. And if they can continue, if they need him today, they'll use him. If they don't, it's money in the bank because then they can use him in the next one at Colorado. So I's in a bit of a tough spot.
One of the things that his winds are at. His hands are a little tied. So and then Georgie did incredibly well. I thought, he's just such a spark. You got two guys, two raw guys on the wings with I don't want to say Rothrock's raw anymore. I think that's the narrative from a lot. I love Rothrock on the left, and you got two guys on the outsides who cause problems and they create things and they make things happen. So I'm excited to see those two guys
do their job. But the one thing that's fun listening to you kill and talk about this time of the year, these guys are fit. Our guys are fit, and they're in rhythm right, and and that takes some time to get there. And just even seeing the guys together today, you see Morris, the two rolled on Russneck and they're all kind of walking down the street and I'm I'm a long ways away from them, and I'm just watching them, and they're an insynct group right now. They're a cohesive
group right now. You know redis isn't in, isn't traveling. You know, there's an injury for him. So they've they know the group they have and so I think they're in a decent spot. But to your point or to your question, I don't think Brian can play him right now. Maybe he can get him on the bench.
With that group that you were just talking about, that Jordan Morris, the Christian roll done, who's really been that you know, that rock when Joe Paul goes got moved out and then he allows Ovid Vargas to kind of be himself. But Jordan Morris and Alan Rusnak is the group that we talked about a lot in that summer window where we just went on a run, and I want to see that, you know, three games left. Can
those two get back on a roll? Can you can you find Jordan in the back of the neck consistently? Can can Albert find the ball and continue to make things happen? I mean, I know that there's an assist record coming up there right right right there away yeah, he's two away, Yeah, three away geez. So you know, look, I want to see those two get back from their rhythm because that is when the Sounders were their best.
And if they can do that with three games left going into the playoffs, that's a dangerous team to come come into the playoffs. What I love about.
Jordan is the fact that you know, you know, Kellen, a couple of years ago when you played, Jordan wouldn't play three times in eight days. You get a credit to Jordan and a credit to the conditioning staff, to the entire staff building up his whether it's stamina, building up has athleticism, to the ability now to play three times in eight days that he has done a number of times this season and based on him starting again today,
I would assume gonna do again this week. Yes it's crunch time, but it is really the Jordan, the new Jordan Morris Racine where he can easily go three times in eight days and he has the ability to do that.
And I love that you brought that up. So the fans have to recognize that, because Brian Schmetzer does. He says, that's been a three year process. And when you go back to the COVID year, Jordan was frustrated that he was getting pulled out of games. You say, no, I can go further, I can go longer. But for him to be able to do that and there's a great result and that he's got thirteen goals then three assists because of that.
But yeah, good for Jordan.
He's in his prime right now and he's a regular starter and wants to stay on the field. And you know there's a thing about you gotta form and then norm and then storm and then perform your team. And he's in that performing mode where there's no question that he's he's the starter, right, that's been sold eight games ago, ten games ago. Right, He's the guy who's gonna go in. It's not a battle between he and Ruy Diaz. So
but again, Bryan Schpetzer said it this morning. Hey, this is a credit to Hillary, to Chris Cornish, to all the the the behind the scenes staff on the fitness side and the medical side, because the guy with two acls.
And you know, I'll give credit to Jordan as well. Jordan's yea. Sometimes Jordan's hands were tied the whole time as well. Jordan is not the one to say I don't want to play on the Wednesday gaming to write with that travel that's that's not Jordan at all. He's saying, I have a chance to one score a goal, compete to play this game that I love, and we can help us, you know, help the team win. I want to be in And that's always his attitude and I love that. The fact that he's gotten over the two
ACL surgeries, now had a kid. You know, how has a one, you know, his wife and kid over the last few years. This is a guy who's starting his whole life and now competing and playing as hard as he can and being the number one forward for the Seattle Sounders after such a long stretch of the life. We're gonna change around the pre mat show a little bit.
I want to continue talking about the Seattle Sanders because we haven't even mentioned I made me mention the name Obed Vargas.
We even talked about Obed Vargas.

Normally, in our second segment of the pregame show, we always do this sharp vision opponent, Alec. We're gonna switch things up. We're gonna get to talking about Vancouver in a few minutes. We have to continue talking about the Seattle Sounders because one thing that just kind of came down the news. We first saw it off of Obed Vargas's Instagram That's where I first saw it. Various social media things here and there, but the news is official.
Obed Vargas has been called up to the Mexican national team, the senior team. In late August, he was named to the U twenty three team, and now a month and a half later, he has made the senior team for the Mexico national team. He'll be with them for a game against funny enough, the United States coming up later this month down in Mexico. I mean, Callen, what an incredible opportunity for the kid. What have been incredible last couple of months where he turned nineteen years old, you
twenty three's senior team. This kid's living the dream right now.
I can know that moment because I remember the call that I got from Bruce Arena, and it was just incredible. Because your heart stops a little bit, you have a big smile, on your face. You're not sure what to say. And so I'm guessing Ovid Vargas had a similar reaction, and I'm guessing his family was right there with him
or not. They were his first call. It's it's a big move for him because he declared that he was gonna play for the Mexican national team, gets called up right away to the under twenty threes, and just one camp later, gets called up to the senior team and he's starting and playing and playing very well because Dallas sounders instantly. This is a year of Ovid Vargas. This is a year where he's gaining that confidence. He's maturing
as a player and as a person. You could see that the young kid that was brought in to play that first game he I believes in Austin and just to run around and be, you know, have fun, is now the guy that they look to to find the ball in the midfield, they look to to make a good tackle and start this break. He is no longer that little kid anymore.
Well, we're just watching him evolve. It's wonderful And to your point, I mean, that's a that's a pretty gutsy, courageous move to say Hey, no, I want to go and switch from US to the Mexican national team. Start with the youth group and now he's in with the big boys. He's not in with after one camp. After one camp tells you an awful lot. So you know what he is. He has had a man's physique since he was fifteen sixteen years old. Talk about a kid who looks the part. We see him now dribbling out
of danger. We see him putting his foot on the ball, changing the point of attack. Some of the tree passes he's made into Jordan Morris this year have been phenomenal. And he's got seven assists. Yeah, I mean that really, When you see that stat, you think, holy Collen, he scored a great goal, you know, six seven, eight games ago. But the seven assists, to me, he quietly has had
some tremendous productions. So good for him. Awesome that he's getting in with the marquee players for the Mexican national team, and it's wonderful he's gonna play against the US.
I think I spoke with them, maybe it was back in May or June, and we already kind of saw the way the year was going for him, Like okay, this is as Kellen, as you said, this is the year of Ovid Vargas. We saw it earlier. I remember asking him, what are your what are your correspirations?
What do you want?
And instantaneously he said Europe And this is this is a kid who wants to play at a very very high level and now being able to go on the stage for the Mexican national team, the senior team facing the United States. Obviously there's the Club World Cup next year. We'll see, you know, hopefully he's still here. Obviously the World Cup in two years, you'd think he'll be on Mexico's squat for that. I mean that the future is
Obed Vargas. Just it's the question of how much we get to see him being rave green because he has his sights set on the biggest lights and we'll see if he eventually gets there.
But so cool for Obed Vargas.
And what a couple of months to turn nineteen U twenty three and now the Mexican national senior team where he will play with them against the USA later this month. We're out here looking and it's funny. They have just like this do They are also having a fifty year celebration here in Vancouver. They've wheeled out a large five zero soccer ball making the zero podium here to midfield as they are preparing to celebrate their fifty or they are celebrating their fiftieth year, and they're doing an extra little celebration today here at BC Plays. It's very cool to be here here in Canada for this game. Very easy trip, I'll echo what Pete said earlier in the
prematch show, A very very easy trip. I say, eight minutes at the border crossing today.
Fun trip and this is an awesome city and hopefully all the white Caps fans will be sad come a couple hours from right now.
But it's time for our Sharp Vision opponent ALEC.

SO Vancouver has been busy, really really really busy today is their sixth game in nineteen days they have played ton This is the final game of this nineteen day stretch where they have played five before they've had actually
a pretty good record. They won the Canadian Championship one week ago tonight, but yet they are working on perhaps some tired legs. They're seventh place in the Western Conference, forty seven points back, three points back, as Callen mentioned, of Seattle right now at fifty points. But Callen, they're missing a big piece in Ryan Gold tonight.
But still a team.
Anytime you're playing on the road, you're facing a dangerous opponent who wants to take this game.
And get right back up to Seattle spot. This is a team that's going in basically playing cup games from the rest of the season. Yeah, they just got done winning the Canadian Cup. They continue to play against Portland for part of the Cascadia Cup and then once again here against Seattle again for a championship and another cup in the Cascadia Cup. So these guys have they know it's at stake, they know it's crunch time for them,
and as they're pushed forward. Even though you win the Canadian Cup, you're sitting seventh in the playoffs, they know that they've got games in hand and that they need to push forward. And I think even with Ryan gald being out and who's obviously the man who kind of makes everything happen, he's their magic. He's the one that continuously is going because he's a fifteen assist now, which also breaks their record which was thirteen previously, and he's
still continuing to go. And so Ryan gald out is going to be huge for the Sounders and rough for the Vancouver white Caps. However, you also have a guy in Brian White who continuously scores goals and continues to scores goals against Seattle Sounders, and so that's gonna be a fun matchup as we continue to talk about that with the Jackson, Reagan, Yamark Gomez Andrade because for me, those two are very physical in the back. However, Brian White loves physicality, he loves He's very similar to a
Will Bruin Will. He'll he'll body and spin you in many ways, and he's strong and physical and then willing to fight. And I think that's going to cause a little bit of trouble with those guys who also like being physical.
Yeah, I think that's the biggest matchup that concerns Brian Schweitzer is is white versus Jack reg and he's got fifteen goals to assists, and then Piccoldez has nine goals five assists. I mean, these guys have some weapons. Berholter, former national team coach's kid, has got two goals five assists. It's a it's a decent team. They're gonna play with a three to five two. They'll overload the midfield and then when they're defending they drop into a four to
four to two. So they're a team that's fluid. I'll tell you what. Sartini has done a really good job with this team. You know, they've been so up and down with different coaches for many many years. He's they players want to play for him, and he's firing on the sidelines. He brings some grit. To your point, that's a lot of games in eighteen nineteen days. So you know, winning the Cup, the equivalent of the US Open Cup, is a great thing and it's a big high. Now
they've got a rebound to get ready. Vancouver has to get ready for this one tonight.
Well, you mentioned Vanny Sartini. He's one of the most unique people in this entire league. The Italian coach. A week ago when they won the Canadian Championship, he went to his supporters here in what I think that's the eastern side of the stadium and ripped his shirt off and is waving it around and going crazy.
He is a very very unique personality. Before we take a break, well, obviously we mentioned Brian White. We know Kellen he's gonna be starting at the top of this formation. But what else is Vanny Sartini putting in his starting lineup today?
Hind goal, you have tach Yoka in the back as a back three, Laborida Vessel, Miss Blackman, and then the five midfielders you have Berhalter, as coach said, Bite, Kubas, Shoff and at A Kube and then up to the two up top would be Cult and the dangerous one Brian Red.
Yeah, we'll see Hanave attack and defend and some very good pieces including Brian White up there. So you're gonna be hearing Danny Jackson Brad Evans say those names a lot here tonight, will take one more break here in the pre match show. We'll come back and give you the Sounders keys to the match, how they can get out of here at BC Place with three points and

Vancouver have enjoyed another solid season under Vanni Sartini. They have already qualified for the playoffs and are now seeking a final push up the standings.
The top four will have home field advantage in the first.
Round, and Vancouver are sitting in seventh position coming into tonight's games, just three points from Colorado in fourth. For the Sounders, they punched their ticket into the playoffs before kicking a ball.
Last weekend. A flurry of results.
Went their way, but they still took care of business with a comfortable one nil win against Houston. Sitting in fifth coming into tonight's games and just two points away from second place, the Sounders have the opportunity, depending on other results, to leap three places in the standings with three points tonight. I'm Danny Jackson alongside former Sounders captain Brad Evans for the call tonight.
Before we get to Brad for his initial thoughts, let's get you the Delta.
Starting eleven for your Sounders of one change for Brian Schmetzer in his lineup, Stephan Fryans about four of rolled on Yamar Reagan knew who Obed Vargas continues to play alongside Christian rolled On in the middle of the field. and fifteen Goldman Brian White so Brad. As the teams get ready to go here this big Cascaded Cup game, the Sounders need to take care of business to make sure they still have a chance to win it.
But what do they need to do tonight?
Yeah, Look, I think, like you said, the results went the Sounders way this past weekend and tonight a little bit different. The results not necessarily as of right now, going in the Sounders way. So it's all about the team getting the job done tonight. What do they need to do. They got to get off to a fast start once again, just like they tried to do against Houston, but then it took them really twenty minutes to get into that game. And it gets a good side at
home in Vancouver. You can't wait till the twenty thirtieth minute to get your game in full form. You have to come out ready to play. And if there was ever a time to beat a Vancouver side, tonight is a night when they're missing a couple of key players, just like Houston was right that was the time to play Houston and them missing two players as well. So
tonight is about the Sounders getting the job done. Like you said, one change, and that's Georgie Manonga in the lineup, so look for him to make a big impact, especially if Vancouver does defend. Also in the three to five to two, it'll be interesting to see how they come out tactically when attacking and also win defending against a guy like Manoole with so much speed in those channels.
Well, if you haven't already heard the sound system here, it might be the loudest in MLS, is absolutely deafening.
And then thereabouts get kicked off, Pico has the in the center spot. Referee blows is whistle.
To get this Cascadia game going in front of a crowd that still continue to get in to the stands Wednesday night game of course, so sometimes they're slow to get into the stands, getting their last drinks.

He was for all his clearances and blocks helped Stephan Fry and the goal tonight get another clean sheet on the season. And for Sounders, they're in there, Bruce Lee kit. They're away kit. We haven't seen that in a while. Have been in the anniversary kit for so many games. Red shirts, black shorts, black sots. They're attacking the Gold to our left and then Vancouver in their traditional white shirts with a navy blue stripe in the middle, blue
shorts and white socks. The ball gets knocked down the line skips out of bounds.
Well, I think to your point, you know, Stephan Fry, it was a one nil win, another shutout, but that was only the second one nil win for the Sounders this season, They've only had two an entire season, and that I had to look that up because I was curious when the last time they won a won nothing game, and it was back in July, and then before that it didn't happen at all. So how do you win really close games? And that's what the Sounders need to
put together. And you saw it in the first part of the season, the worst start for the Sounders in its history in MLS era, and that was a credit to a lot of red cards as well. When you think about it, right, you can't necessarily win a bunch of games when you don't have the appropriate players on the field. But they've got to figure out a way entering these playoffs to win one nothing games away from home.
And if they can do that, they give themselves a good chance, regardless if they have the two game home advantage or the two game away schedule in the playoffs.
Well, for Houston, they were no strangers to one zil games of one goal games.
They had twenty in the season so far, nineteen coming into last week's game against the Sounders. That was that twentieth not always been successful. Ten wins ten losses from those games, but certainly for the Sounders, they took care of business and other than an early fright on Stephan Fry's goal, with all that possession, Houston hat Sounders really managed to blunt their attack as the ball goes in behind, but Jordan Morris just skips through attack. Yokuin goal played
every game so far, clears his lines. He's decked out in all purple strikes. The ball ball bounces underneath rolled Down's foot, picked up by Vite middle of the park. Of course, he scored a goal in twenty twenty three when Vancouver won two nil with that own goal from Stephan Fry. As the ball gets skip by nw who just fakes the header, bounces through. It's going to be a goal kick early on in this game, Neil nil.
That's one of those ones where you're an attacker and you think knew who's going to go up and win that one, and all is a little shimmy shaken. He throws you off and you kind of look silly as that one rolls out of bounds. But this turf, just like roll Don's last touch. This turf, yes, it's similar to luminfield, but it's always been different. It's a little
bit more bouncy in the way that it sits. It's a little bit more like Montreal's turf away from home, and I think you've played, probably played there number of times in the USL days as well, just plays a little bit different. It's the blades are thinner, it's not necessarily that bright green color as well, and that's always a challenge coming in here. So it's up to you in the pregame to get out and get on that field.
Here's Pico down the left hand side, breaks the initial line of defense for the Sounders, but held up well by Vargas. Coming back to help ball towards Addie. Kugby knocks the ball on the six, cleared well by Jackson Reagan. Of course, as we mentioned the last broadcast, last Week's signed his new long term contract ties him to the Sounders.
For the next three plus years.
So good to see Craig Wiball and Adrian and Brian getting taking care of business early, locking him down for the years to come. He's been an ever present in the last couple of years in the back line alongside Yema. The ball comes in long throw headed clear by Yam on top of the box. It lands Berholter goes in clashes into roth Rock top of the box. It's going to be a free kick for the Sounders, but that's
going to be a painful one for for Paul. Of course, big smiles in his face walking around the hotel today. I saw him just before the team's boarded the bus and certainly full of confidence. Of course, got the game winner against Houston, his fourth goal on his campaign at that to US Open Cup goals and League Cup goals as well. It's been a real breakout year for young
Paul Rothrock. And I know Brad, you and Steve have often talked about Paul and his contribution this year on your podcast, but certainly his superseded expectations.
Yeah.
It certainly was a guy that you know, thought was just going to come in and play some spot minutes here and there and really light a fight fire under Lao Chew. And when Pedro de la Vega was supposed to ply that position gets injured, then Paul Rothrock was
meant to be a supplement. But you know, when you work hard and you get on the end of crosses that are put into the box and you put yourself in the right position you're often rewarded, and Schmett said that today, like, no, this kid's going to start right. He's earned it. He's obviously lit a spark under the team is at a co incidents that, you know, the Sounders kind of went on a run when Paul was introduced to the lineup, and and guys kind of were
feeding off that. But like you said, he's a guy who's got a smile on his face all the time, and you like to see that.
Speaking of a guy that has a smile in his face.
Georgie Manunga picks the ball that plays it out to Alex Rolled on farside the Sounders right Sounds attacking the goal to our left. Jackson Reagan, who's always the first point of attack for the Sounders. It's really showing his passing abilities over the last couple of months, spring the ball around Bran Schmetzer, giving him that license to do
that break Lions. The ball gets switched this near side ball to picked up well by New who did that so well against Houston as well, driving forward across the half way line, picked up by Peacock coming back to Hell. But Rothrock gets a little ball into New inside the box, cluts it back stripe by Georgie over the top.
Really good breaking transition for the Sounders. Ball goes over the top. It's gonna be a goal, Kate.
We may nil nil, but Bret Evans the Sounds are showing that threat going forward.
Yeah.
Well, as you see this play develop here, it actually start. You know. Oftentimes when you watch the Sounders play against a three to five to two, they sit with five in the back like LAFC and really make it difficult for Jordan to go one against three. But defensively, even Vancouver happy to sit in that three five to two and the outside winger is actually tucking in to force that ball that Yamar played and it's a quick turnover from the Sounders. But then all of a sudden, good interchange.
Anytime you switch that ball, you're always if you underhit it, the defender is always gonna come in and steal that new who does it in perfect fashion. It's a good interchange. And Georgie just doesn't wrap his foot around that one to get it on the frame.
He comes Vancouver slides it towards Addie Kukby rolls out of bounds.
There is Shop trying to find his left winger. It's gonna be a goal kick for the Sounders.

Slowly coming into tonight's game, and the Sounder is if they can get a win tonight. It sets up sets the stage perfectly for Decision Day, not only the last game of the MLS regular season, but the opportunity for the Sounders to win Cascadia Cup. Vancouver won it last year, they're looking to win again. Two on the bounce hasn't happened since twenty thirteen fourteen. Sounds, of course have had
three back to back before Portland and mccouver. So here comes Rosneck, driving forward, finds Rothrock inside the box outside their foot clips off Rothrocks heels. It's going to roll over the end line, but good chance for the Sounders lost opportunity the top of the box.
It's gonna be a goal kick with may'nil.
Now, as you watch this one build up for Vancouver, everyone has shifted one side. Burhalter has been asked a lot to tuck inside when the Sounders are building out on that right hand side, and it's a good switching play from Alex all Don recognizing and it's the patien's here from Jackson Reagan as he builds this play up, and I thought Rusnak saw Georgie Jordan makes us run and kind of curves it like we wanted him to
on the weekend. It comes across and that's space. Throw a right footed pass into Georgie's on but Rusnak decides to go to Paul Rothrock there and just unlucky to take that one off the knee and go off for a Vancouver goalkick. But good interchange from the sounder. It looked almost too easy. It was really a to B two C in that moment and really allowing Vancouver, allowing the Sounders just to get in the right spot and connect some passes.
Early on he comes Vancouver down the left hand side the far side. We shop a pressure from Ovid Vargas, of course, celebrating his inclusion in the Mexico national team, the main men's national team.

Younger team last time, got involved in camp with the senior team and now gets called up and of all games a set of games, one of them being against the US down in Mexico. So I think Obed talked about it this week. He said it's kind of the pinnacle of his career. Made the decision to go to Mexico earlier on this year, and now it gets rewarded with that call up.
Yeah. Look is a guy who made his decision at such a young age to make that switch, and he's been rewarded for it. He's been so good throughout the past couple of years for the Sounders, stepping in, you know, at a young age, getting some spot minutes and now being probably our best player in the middle of midfield, the most consistently, so durable, And that's what you want out of your number six. You got to play a ton of games, and at his age already to have
racked up as many games as he has. No wonder that Mexico's called him in and maybe it's a new start for Mexico, right, maybe he does see significant minutes in there. I don't want to see him go in there and just ride the bench and just have that experience. I think he's bigger and better than that as a player, So I hope that he goes in as his own player and he doesn't get you know, like he said
in the press, this is the biggest moment. I don't want him to be shell shocked and to be you know, star studded and really just sit back and let the guy's control. He needs to play his game. Obviously, I hope the US wins too. Nothing, but at the end of the day, it's fantastic for obed well.
Sound has continue to turn the corner in the season. They got off to a slow start. Certainly some results against Vancouver didn't go their way, one of them being that two mier loss earlier in the season when sound has got a couple of red cards, one of them being regan and then rolled on. But Sounders have bounced back ten to two and two in the last fourteen games. That's coming to the tonight's games. That's the most points
over that period of time in MLS. So Sounders again finding form at the right time, and it comes Jordan Morris inside the box speaking of a player who's found his form.
Cuts it back.
Good defending eventually by Vstillonovitch just gonna be over the end line for first corner kick of the game for the Sounders.
Once again, the Sounder is able to just walk through this Vancouver defense. And there's one game in twenty fourteen I think I remember playing up here where it felt like everything went right for us, but at the end of the day, it was the finished product. It was Chad Barrett getting on the end of a couple of goals. And that's what it feels like tonight so far. Vancouver happy to just let Yaymar and those out of the back just play one, two touches and then all of
a sudden, the Sounders are in behind. It's a good ball from Georgia Benoungo here and Jordan does what Jordan does so well, and that to utilize his speed. Just unlucky here.
We'll go short to roll down fastide the right back to a Roznck in solid distribution.
Vargas has the top of the box, strikes it and it takes a nick. It's gonna be a goal kick.
Looked like it took us light deflection did not. The referee is right there. It's gonna be a goal kick for the Sounders. And for the Sounders they go into Colorado on the weekend again, the games all around them have the run In last week against Houston.
They jumped Houston with that win. Of course, Vancouver sitting just.
A couple of spots behind them coming into today's games and then go into Colorado or right there and there as well.
So again, play an altitude, tough place to play.
The Sounders really have the opportunity to push themselves into the very top positions. Get in the top four, you get a home game in the first round, and then anything can happen.
Well, the Sounders have to press here because it looks like Vancouver is just letting them play. They can get one here early on in this one. I think it'll be a good night for the Sounders. And like you said, they have to get points now, home field advantage.
As Georgie just wriggles free knocks it around, added Kugby, Addie Cookby goes down, that's gonna be a yellow card for Addie Kokeby. And that's an SGB yellow card when a foul is called, SGB trial lawyers are here to help. There's an SGB dash law dot com at Georgie still on the ground. Took a good knot there towards the end line, just outside the eighteen yard box. But that's the positivity you want from an outside player, just drops his shoulder, goes past him.

Well, I hope this is foreshadowing for Georgie's career moving forward, because that's the only way that someone is gonna stop you, because if you don't commit the foul. There, Georgie's inside the eighteen and he lifts his head and it's an easy slip ball that's gonna danger Tago ooga and goal. And so you know you have to take an early yellow card in this one. I've been victim to those in many many games. And now it sets set up the Sounders just outside the eighteen where that ten yard
mark hash is from the cornerkick. This one's just got to be driven.
Here's Rosneck does drive it along the six, cleared up and away by White doing his defensive duties back from his number nine spot. It's gonna be a corner kick for the Sounders. They went short last time. We'll see if Rosnick whips one in from there, Sounders right with his right foot.

Morris of course scored a good number of goals in his head this year as he did last year.

Georgie is sitting on the goalkeeper. Ball comes in. It is Morris. Georgie gets his first goal for the Sounders.

We can see it from up here and the Sounders go up one nil.
That's a fantastic ball from Rusnak, just where you want it, and Jordan is the one that rises up. Jordan's got two Vancouver defenders on him one time here, just splits the difference and knocks it where you should. You have to head that ball to the ground, and it's everyone else's job to put their body where it needs to be. And that's anticipation versus reaction from Georgia. He's anticipating that Jordan's gonna knock that ball down. Just let me get
myself in the right spot. And that's his first MLS goal there and you love to see it in the celebration afterwards. Early on in this one, I think we said, the atmosphere in here from minute one has been nothing like he said. The loudest thing in here was a sound system and as soon as that shut off, Mancouber Whitecaps fan not bringing much of a way of an atmosphere that the Sounders have certainly created their own. And that's the way you want to start this one away from home.
Great start for the Sounders here in the fifteenth minute to take a one. They'll lead and I've all play as Georgie Minonger gets his start today, his third start as a Sounder. His first start happened when he was still a Defiance player. Then early on after signing that first team contract just a handful of weeks ago, he got his first start is out.

Today gets the start in place at de la Vega and then executes on that good head of for Morris from the corner kick, and you know we're standing up he brat smiling. We know Georgie must be just beaming. His family watching from a farm sure of beaming as well. And I can imagine Brian Schmittz and must have a huge smile in his.

He talked about how much he respects Georgie and his passion, his commitment to the game, and he continues to work so hard.
Yeah, look, I think it's a guy who's put in the work. You come to Seattle, you play for defiance, and the dream is always to make that jump, and not a lot of players do. Maybe it's one or two a year that really make that jump and play significant minutes. And his journey was a little bit different. You only have a certain amount of loans that you
can play before the team has to sign you. Georgie is a guy that's owned by a club in Africa, and it gets a little bit convoluted, and what you have to pay what you know, what is the payment further down the line. But the Sounders are able to make it happen. They saw enough of him to say that he's going to make it be a difference maker, and he is going to make a difference and he
has so far. I'll tell you what. You do a lot of shooting after practice, and you always dream about your first goal is going to be a right foot and I'm gonna bend it into the back corner. You never dream that's going to be a tap in with your you know your right or left thigh on the goal line, but you take them right. You'll always remember your first.
As we say, right, the box school has one thing in it. It doesn't have a twenty five yard rocket. It says the last name and the minute you score. So for Georgia Munungo, as he stands on the far side the right waiting for the ball to come his way, he makes the difference.
Tonight Sounder is leading one goal to nil.
Here in the seventeenth minute, ball gets not long by Fry, headed up in the air. Bargas goes up undercut by shop fans grown moan, But it's gonna be a Sounders free kick. Certainly for the sound as they've come out the gates flying in these early minutes, it's taken a good commanding position in this game. Of course, if they get three points, it shifts him up to fifty three points in the standings.

Today already started Miami going into Columbus doing what the Sounders did, got three points.
That elevates them above and beyond and out of reach. Are they're gonna win?

The one thing that's eluded them in these past few games is getting that important second goal. Ball gets whipped in by Georgie far and wide, and it's going to roll through to this near side. Callen, what did you see in the first forty five I think it was a little easy. They had possession of the ball, the Sounders did, and I think it's because the formation that that white Caps are playing and the way the positioning of Alex Roldan and knew who is creating a lot of trouble for those quote unquote wing backs for Vancouver because they're now leaving hig Kay like Georgie and Paul, who are very good one on one players with center backs in their back three, and
that's just pulling them out a little bit wider. And so they were seeing a lot of good things come from those wings, just not the final ball. And so once we get that final ball down, I think it's going to be two, three, even four.
Yeah, I tell you the possession piece. Seattle's had at least four sequences of twenty five to thirty passes and it seems like it's eleven against nine or ten maybe for Vancouver. But having said that, Van Cooper's had about four crosses from the right hand side to the back post that have been a bit nervy for Fry for I came up with a huge save and then a
couple have skied over the crossbar. One thing I've been impressed with with Seattle is, you know, months ago there was talk of we haven't scored on a restart, we haven't scored on a restart, and Andy Rose and Brian Spetzer jokingly said, you know, his job's in jeopardy if we don't score on a restart. And then again, kind of like the last game with Houston, it'd be really nice to get one more goal and have that two goal lead and kind of put it to bed. I don't think. I don't think Sartine's gonna let his team roll over tonight.
He's as active as any player on the field as he is on the sideline.
He sure is animated. And I look, those chances that Vancouver had came from our mistakes as well, and I think we almost lulled ourselves into sleep when we were through this possession. You know, we're getting sloppy balls away because we think we've got the time and Vancouver is down your throat again. But for me, it's also making sure that you're step into the ball. And I know
that you've just had possession for a long time. It's a midweek game, and I get that, But the second that you're near your box, you got to make sure that you're step into the ball as soon as possible. You're having a hand on your marker if you're in the box. But twice now we've seen them from this right side swing a ball in and a man is free on the back post. However, with those balls coming in from a deeper position behind that back line that they have done into the box, we don't make sure that we're tight on defense and making sure that everyone has their markers and nothing's just sneaking behind you in the back post like it had twice there.
I'd really like another goal. It sounds like a very obvious statement, but we've had these tight games, you know. You go back to the San Jose game, ro up two to one, we give up one late. The Houston game, we somewhat had control of that game, but it was a bit nervy at the end. And I'd love to see another goal just to open this thing up. The
possession Seattle's had has been fantastic. They are getting too much service from Vancouver, right so we've got to eliminate some of that kell And you make a good point. We're giving balls away in our defensive third and then it's coming right back down our throat, so you can't you can't bank on them skying balls a foot over the crossbar. Or step making these the big save like you did in the nineteenth minute, So one more goal
would be great. And again I thought we've been great on restart, so be nice to put one away from an Albert russneck service, you.
Know, so I will mention too.
You know there's times that looming field where the Sounders are down and you know, on the attacking the second half, and you can feel the crowd really getting into it, and you can hear it, and you can just telling I'm sure players on the field you can feel the enthusiasm behind you and the peel behind you. Should be mentioned. We're here at BC Place and this is the benefit of being here. Can tell you there's probably only about
seven thousand and eight thousand people here. The crowd is very very sparse here at BC Place, So in terms of players getting behind crowded enthusiasm and feeling that towards momentum of equalizing, they are gonna get it tonight. There's a lot of Sounder fans and there's few just a few more Van gour fans, but not enough, I think to create that momentum. We'll see what happens here in the next forty five minutes. As Albert Rosneck puts the ball in the center spot, it's going to get us going. Crowd continue to be very quiet, somewhat disillusioned.

So we asked about that. You know, there's lots of players that play a similar position or a similar way, look about likes of Rothrock and Tevers and players like that. But Georgia brings something very different.

Yeah, good play from the Sounder. So that's what we talked about, the patience. Georgie picks up the ball. He understands that could I beat my guy right now, Yes, But at the end of the day, I gotta play safe. And I think Schmetz probably talks to him in his ear and it's like, you can go three or four times, but on that fourth or fifth one, let's try and just keep possession and get other players involved. And that one went back this near side to far side, near
side to far side. The Sounders ended up with actually a well whipped in ball when knew who finds himself on the top of the eighteen that's the places where you want to find him with his left foot.

You might not get it half the time, but you have to keep making the run and always ask for that ball, because if I'm a midfielder, I want to know that you want
the ball every time that I get it. I don't want to have to look up every single time and guess to see if you're in the spot that you should be, that you tactically worked on the week before. I want to know that you want the ball every single time, and credit to him keep going right. I mean he hasn't been stopped once they had to bring him down for a yellow card, and the rest of the time he's had a couple of crosses. Have there been great crosses? No, but it'll come, it'll come right.

Well you see where Alex Rolledon was on that last build up. He's playing as a number ten right now, you're right back for the Sounders is playing as one of your number ten's alongside Rusnak and that again, that block of four as they match up with the Vancouver White Cups, the best thing they can and if they just maintain possession in that space. Man, I'd love to play as an attacker in this in this system as a right back.
So is it because the Vancouver playing in the three of the back and the way that they're set up, the sound is able to build in a three and allow Alex rolled down that space and time to shift.
Yeah, it's definitely by design because they're playing with two up top and you have to have at least Bill comes in.

If the Sounders don't push Alex road On into that midfield role, then the Vancouver white Caps have a two man advantage because they have two sitting up top, and then they've got three in the central part of the field. So if they allow Alex to push in there, they get some numerical advantage. If they go side to side, that's where they find those advantages. They can't afford not to have Alex tuck in and be another midfielder.
Rapid stomp by the Sounders, dominating possession, shoved off the balls, Brian White by Jackson Reagan struggled somewhat with Brian White's physical presence with his back to goal. Let's get you the line up for Vancouver Techyo Queen goal the border Vessel, Leonovitch and Blackman, midfield four of Shop Kubath, Berholtz and Vite and attacking three Apico, White and Addikugby. So they continue to try and find a way to test Stephan Fry. Four shots on goal for Vancouver, no shots on targets.
Stephan Fry has been very quiet between the sticks for the Sounders. As we know, these are the types of games where maybe Stephan Fry needs to step up one or two times, make some big saves, protect that clean sheet and it comes to sound as give away by Vancouver. Middle of the parker Jordan plays the ball in towards Rothrock's able to collect it towards the end and cuts it back to Rosneck.
Sounds slowly coming up into support.
Nu gets it square to Christian Roaldan triple team by Vancouver, but the Sound has continued to move the ball at speed elude the Vancouver press as Vancouver put eleven men behind the ball and Rosneck nonchalantly just clips it towards Alex Roldan, as Brad Evans mentioned, just tucked in from that right backspot, playing in almost like a.

As the ball goes back all the way to Stephan, Fry, chased down by Brian White, continues to harry and press bull bounces through. Now it's picked up by Murris doubts of Georgia on his right hand side. Again, Georgia plays it across just lose Jordan.
Tach Yoka comes out, slides picks it off the foot of Rothrocks, rolls it out to the far side the right.
The crowd just let Laborda know that there's a player coming and he's plays it square and Vancouver come again.
Well, it's the right ball from Georgia there and it's just out of the reach of Jordan. Okay, he looks up, knows that Jordan's there and it's a clipped in ball. I'd like to see Jordan lay out for that one. Why not take a chance and just get a foot on it. He might get a little raspberry, but nothing
a couple of days and won't heal after. But again, the sounder is applying pressure and finding a lot of joids and space in putting Vancouver under under pressure and much different than playing with five in the back right. The three in the back of tonight has afforded Jordan the opportunity to really push into space and be that link and get his outside midfielders in that front three involve more in this one.
His shot rolls it into Vta, who comes across the field, plays it in behind the back four to Peacock, clips towards the backstick, bounces through Sepan Fry comes.

Cephan Fry made a slight.
Judgment error judgment and Sounders are able to clear their lines preserve this one goal lead. Here in the fifty ninth minute, ball comes in, bounces through and Cep Fry let the ball roll out of bounce and there's gonna be in substitution for Vancouver. It's gonna be Levonte Johnson's gonna come on shot for the Austrian play time at Shalka, grew up in the fine media use system. He's gonna come off the field and now Levonte Johnson, Canadian player
played at Syracuse. There was a draft pick in twenty twenty three, signed just over a year ago, is a professional contract. It's been a lively addition to the squad that time, both as a starter and now comes off the bench.
The Sounders put under some significant pressure there as they allow Vancouver to play out of the back and then all of a sudden it's a one touch ball in behind and Jackson Reagan gets caught in space, just almost ball watching there and that Stephen Frye got's kind of got caught in between two minds there Should I come? Should I go? And then it's new who with a last ditch effort to clear that one off the line. But credit to the Sounders defenders are covering for their goalkeeper.

The Sounders currently sit in third place with fifty three points, level in points with Salt Lake, but they have one additional win which is the first tiebreaker fifteen wins against Salt Lake's fourteen wins, and Houston sit with fifty one points, Colorado with fifty, Vancouver with forty seven, and then we'll see how things play out here at the bottom end of the table.
Portland forty five points all but solidified their position.
As Austin sitting thirty nine points, two games to go for each other's teams. We'll see how things play out in terms of tie breakers. Portland on twelve wins Austin on ten will be gold differential if they goes down to it, and Portland have a much superior goal difference by eighteen. So looks like things are shaping up nicely
in the playoffs. Here's Vancouver clipped the ball towards the back stick, headed up and away by Jonathan Bell, picked up well by Rouznek, turns quickly, looks forward, looks for options, goes back to Vargas. He got the Sounders going in the fourteenth minute assists from Morris and Rosneck, and there was Rosneck himself stepped up.

And then just two minutes later Rothrock picks up a ball in transition and guides it into the bottom corner with his left foot.
That was a second assist on.
The night for Rouzneck and a second assist on the night for Jordan Morris.
So job done for the Sounders.

Yeah, this one had Sounders written on it the entire game, from minute one. We saw it from up here. Vancouver just came in a little bit disinterested. And I don't know if it was a change of formation, if it was the opponent, if it was too many games in succession, But the Sounders came in here ready to win and
fight for this one, and they sure did. They'll send the Vans home happy, and they put themselves in a great position to have home field advantage with the Colorado Rapids team that lost the night to the LA Galaxy at home. You learn a couple of things from that one. If you pick up nine points in a week going into the playoffs off, you go well.

They have moved up to third place in the Western Conference with fifty three points. Weal sal Lake also have fifty three, but Sounders have the win on top of them fifteen to fourteen. They've also now topped them on goal differential. Sounders right now have fifteen
plus goal differential. That's second place in the Western Conference. By the way, LAFC is only on plus fourteen. A heck of a night here, What a night for Paul Rothrock, What a night for Albert rus Neck. What a night for Georgie Manoongu who scores his first career goal as the Sounders route Vancouver. My name is Jackson Feltz here for the postmatch show as we celebrate this three to nothing win. Let's just start off with with the opening thoughts. There's so many different things to get to, so many specific questions to ask about how this blowout came about. But Kellen opening thoughts on the three nothing to win. I'm just glad it was a blowout because it was there was a bit of an ease and loll to this game. And it may have been the fact that, you know, not
even half the stands were full. It was a Wednesday night and a midweek, and you know, Vancouver's missing their their big time player and Ryan Gld and the possession is I mean, I would I'd say upwards of seventy five percent for Seattle Sounders, and so you saw this loll. So I'm glad they finally got those goals in the second half because they were really needing it.
Yeah, I agree with you because it could have gone you know, if Seattle doesn't get the two goals bang bang as they did, it could have been a nervy night at the end. But it was an interesting game because it became very wide open killing you said at halftime the wing play because of the way Vancouver was playing. It seemed as if we just had so much more space on the wings. And I'll tell you what, Paul Rothrock it's his second, maybe third time he's drawn a
penalty kick this year, right, does well? Georgie plays him a good little and then Albert Russnik now getting two assists he's won away from Nico. Jordan Morris got two assists tonight as well, so that gives him five for the season, which he's putting together a really nice year. And so and then I really was glad Steph got the shutout because he was under some pressure. I mean, you're gonna see the score if you didn't watch the game.
They go Seattle killed him. But there were a lot of balls in the box that for Stephen Fry to cover some ground, and he had some moments. There was one that he made a great save going to the carpet quick. It was called offside, but it was a really good save, showing how sharp he is. So momentum going into the playoffs, we all know that's very very important. It's a great bus ride home for the team and everybody on the bus, and then they get ready to
go off to Colorado. So it's a tight week, right That Colorado game is gonna come really fast for them. But to get the clean sheet, to get all those guys in, to be able to sub as many players as Brian Schmitzer was able to sub Attensio getting on Rebaker, Whiting, Pedro Massovski Bell that's a good thing as well, so it's a happy bus ride home. And three nothing is terrific.
And now third place and by the way, this thing, I love this right the last Since June fifteenth, the Sounders have more points than anybody else, eleven two and two. And we are so used to this team being successful. We heard all the noise this season about well, they're not that good, they're not this, they're not that. We didn't get any dps. But come on, we're in third place eleven two and two. That's very impressive for this squad.
We are twenty four and five against teams not named LAFC since.

You also mentioned the possession there sixty percent was the final, but it did really feel like seventy to seventy five. It was just such a controlled game. But you know it's funny. I think this is a good avenue. We have to get to our Toyota man of the match. Anytime there's a shutout, you obviously have to look at Stephen Fray. You have to look at the defenders. Georgia Mnook's first career goal, Paul Rothrock had obviously his goal in a good game. Albert Rusnak has two assists, and
of course the penalty kick. There is a lot of contenders for who was the most important player for the Sounders today important.
I think you're actually didn't even say his name, obd Vargas and I heard Danny talk about it on and he's just steady Eddie. He was one of those guys that continuously on the ball, had the maturity of just slowing the game down when needed. He made some good tackles when needed, and he had a few long balls that were right on the dime, right into Paul Rothrock's foot. So he's up there for me of guy when you talk about importance of a game today, especially with the
amount of like I said, ease that happened. He wasn't one that kind of stepped down and lulled in this game, and I think Ovid Vargas has has my vote.
Well, that is a really ton because you got two assists in a goal for Albert Georgie. I thought it was dangerous. It was great that he got the goal. I'm gonna make I'm just gonna go with who got the most points out of the game.
That's Albert, right, and get and a goal.
You got to give it to him. But I'm with you. I thought Ovid was really good, smooth on the ball, good vision, turned out of trouble quite a bit, picked off a couple of important passes. So but I thought also Stephan Fry came up with a huge save in the nineteenth minute.
Yeah right, And how different is the game if it's one? Well, this this game could have been different many of times. Right in the first half, they had three chances that were just clear cut, could have been a goal. We created another one here in the second half that could have been. Some good stops, some good saves and offside call. Thankfully, even though it was a good save. I mean, this game could have gone a lot differently than the three
zero result that it was. And these kind of games, you know, they can happen but you just turn on their head. It's one one. You're going, oh no, there's panic, and now that they have momentum, they continue to come down our throats. So it's it's a little bit different. But the fact that they were going to get the shut out, obviously Stephen Fry made some incredible says, especially in that nineteenth minute.
Yeah you know what though, it's Georgie's first goal and it's his third start. See, I was just gonna say that, you know, And I bet Brian Spetzer would say, I give it to the ki And the kid was good.
That's the thing too. It wasn't just that he was at the back post waiting for the Jordan header and there to get it and putting it in. I thought he played really well too. But ultimately, Pete, I think your first thought was correct here. The reality is the most.
I mean, it's it's the points, and it's the two assists now one off of the club record. I mean, Albert Rusnak, here's another stat for you. Nine goals and fifteen assists just an MS play in his I think thirty games. Can anybody say designated freaking player? That's about right. He is making every dollar of his contract. A sensational

The Sounders will have it because of this three nothing win. So all we need to do is draw Portland that gets this Cascadia Cup. But heck, let's just go beat them for nothing and make it real easy. So with that said, the Sounders can't look at his decision day yet. They have one more game before that last game of the season. The penultimate game is against the Colorado Rapids. We'll talk about that later on. We still have to talk a little bit more about this three nothing demolition

We have to get to our Emerald Pink Casino, play the match and with all due respect to alber Rusnak, who is our man of the match, we're not gonna
include his penalty kick that made it to nothing. I think the two finalists for play the match are certainly between the first goal Georgia man noongoo's first goal of his career, that of course came off of the assist Rusnak and then headed on by Morris, or it's the great combination and final goal by Paul Rothrock that made it three nothing, where you have assists by once again Morris and Rusnak. So I think that the debate is the first goal or the third goal for play of
the match. Kellen, We'll start with you. What do you think I'm gonna throw a wrinkle in here and actually say that there's another one that's the double save in the nineteenth minute to keep us in the game. And I think that is not where I'm gonna go. But it's a good thing. You gotta go to the first goal. It's Georgie mcnongoy. You never forget your first and especially in the way it happened. You see the celebration all
the guys around him. You know, in your two stars for the year in Albert Rusnak and Jordan Mars with the assist. It's it's got to be that one for me.
Well, and I liked the diversity and the variety of the restarts that we'd had leading to that. That was about the third one and so all of a sudden we find Georgie at the back post.
So that was good.
But I'm gonna go with the other goal because I thought it was a great ball to Jordan Morris. He kind of knew he was gonna get clobbed when he flicked that header on and then Rusnik picked out Uh Paul Roth. Paul had a good, very good first touch, a better second touch and then he just slotted it. And the timing of that goal, this was a very very quiet crowd. It became a morgue after that.
So I thought I was back in New England in twenty twelve on a Wednesday night. It was it was wild and Tom Brady just kicked you off.
Hey, we're gonna get at the end the game in the eightieth minute because Bronc and Brady when you warm up, yeah, yeah, I can't imagine. But it was such a clinical finish, right, And I.
Think you make a good point p and I understand that that is the goal that ended it. But to go to Kellen's point, I'm gonna agree, you never forget your first And and for Georgie, who's we've been seeing him come on to this scene, we've been seeing that promise and yes it was just a simple tap in the back post, but he came off with a great set piece. Before we take a break quickly, we spent a lot of time Pete in the pre match show talking about Jordan Morris, his ability to play a lot of matches, you know, were saw again here and he came off a little earlier, just for rest, you'd think, so the element of you know, we're looking at the probability of a third match in eight days coming on Saturday. He put in another long shift, didn't get his goal, but he was obviously influential.
Well. Brian Schpetzer said some really good things about the last three years to get him to this place right now, and that the in this group, the strength and conditioning group, the medical group, has done a great job to get him here. I thought he made a lot of good, dangerous runs. What I do like about Jordan Morrison maybe he should be a little more demanding when he makes those runs, but he doesn't look at his teammates throw his arms in the air. He's still willing to do
the hard work. And he put his body on the line on that on the last hover. He just knew he was going to get hit from behind.

It wasn't that dramatic, but I thought he was dangerous a lot of the game. And you know that he's got what thirteen goals right now and five assists, so you know he's come a long ways.
And I like that.
Brian Schmitzer said, he's in his prime right now, and he's gone through a year where he's had to really win that spot to keep that spot, and he's done that. So I'm proud of the kid. You know, he's two ACLS, he's type one diabetes. We forget about some of these things sometimes, right, he gets kicked a ton, It never complains. You never see him flopping. So I'm happy where he's at right now. I would love to see him get
twenty goals. Seven more goals. You know, we got two and we've got two regular season.
Games, so we start with fifteen.
Well I'm including postseason, right, so I think it's you know, he can be a multi I used to say to Bobby McAllister, you're a multi goal scoring scorer. I'm not sure that's proper English, but Jordan has that ability. You know, San Jose, you got the two goals. So I'm just happy that he's playing the way he's playing and getting the rewards and getting to assist and night is great for him.
I think also twenty I think, sorry, seventeen total goals I think across all competitions this year, so twenty in that regard very doable.
Well, he has the chance. But we talk about, you know, his resilience and his professionalism and him getting back into starting and all these things. But look, I'm looking at the last is going to going into the last two games of this season, going into the playoffs. They've obviously had a long stretch, especially through that summer with the League's Cup continuously playing, but they did have about a week off beforehand. They've played a lot of games this year.
Don't get me wrong, I want to see his starting eleven out there that is the same starting eleven as quick as possible, as many times as possible. The guys that are know, they know each other, they.
Have right now. We were making one change from what you're making.
You're making one change, but that one change actually was a positive, and you saw guys actually look for him in many ways. So yeah, Georgie, Georgie. You saw in the first half, especially when he took a guy on, he beat him. He played across. Okay, it wasn't the best cross. I think two passes later, ball was back at him, and everyone's back in the box of thinking,
all right, he's gonna go out of them. A lot of faith there's a lot of faith in him, and so that that one doesn't drop as much as you think.
