But joining us right now on the air, the head coach of your Seattle Sounders FC, coming off a nil nil draw in Salt Lake City against RSL over the weekend. Our friend Brian Schmetzer coach how are You good Socks, is coming on the show. I'm gonna hang out and listen. Yeah, he's gonna be good.

You're the pregame for Hackstall, by the way, so don't mess it up. You're the opening act for Dave at six forty five. Have you met him yet, by the way, No, I have not, but I would appreciate that. He seems like a great guy and he's he's a good coach. I mean, he's got a team, sient. I would think that all of the head coaches in the city would be on like a text threat with each other, right service Seattle coach Carol Dubor Hackstall, Schmeizer,

the whole thing. So maybe we'll try and make that happen. But hey, talk about what happened in Salt Lake City over the weekend. You guys had a lot of good chances to get a goal on the board. It just didn't happen for you. The nil nil draw. You walk away with a good feeling, are kind of a sour feeling about the game,

like kissing your sister. You're talking about that draw. It draws just you know, it's I don't know, I mean, we created some half chances, softy, we had some pretty good chances, but that doesn't you know, it doesn't matter because you know, we just couldn't score. So it was good that we got another shutout. That's the one positive I think. Steph Fry and the defense is playing really well. We haven't won there since twenty eleven, so I felt last Saturday was a really good shot at breaking

that streak. And you know we're gonna we're gonna face him one more time in league stuff, so we'll get another opportunity in RSL. So yeah, I mean, getting a point where you haven't won forever. I mean, that's that's not terrible. But what about the offense? What is what is

concerning you about the offense? Uh? Well, you know, we we started off on fire with Jordan and Chew and then you know, Raoul came back and now he's injured, and you know, Dick, we're talking as a staff about just going back to Okay, well, the kid, Jordan's still leading scorer in the league, so let's put him up front and let's see if we can move pieces around him. So we've been working on that in training. I'll make a final decision on that closer to game day.

But you might see a little bit different look on Sunday against Sporting Casey. Wow, Okay, uh, you wanna give us a little more on that. I mean, you're kind of you kind of threw that out there like you thought we'd just ignore it and just move on. So tell us about what you got played for the weekend, coach, Well, we're gonna try and score some goals against Kansas City. Who's look, they're desperate. They haven't won, so let's let's let's see how it goes. But a couple

of different looks. Jordan up top, Jordan out on the right, you know, a bear up top, a bear in the pocket. Well, we'll see how that works, and she will be on the field. I mean, we'll get him on the field. We've got to get him back back in the assist category again. So we're gonna we're gonna come out and try and score some goals at home and entertain the fans. Well, I was amazed when I saw the standings. I was looking at Kansas there's like

three points. Really, they scored three points. So you can score as many points by beating Kansas City this weekend as they've scored all season long. But they are getting a couple of guys back, So well, how different challenge will it be? Yeah, it'll be different from the game that we played in Kansas City. They had more injuries back then. Look, there's still a dangerous team. Yeah, the snake fit. You know, beginning of the season, they've got some injuries. Peter Burmey's he's gonna try and

you know, get his team back on the winning track at Seattle. I know he likes, you know, sticking it to us. You'll do everything you can to get three points, but we'll be ready. We'll be ready, Coach. I gotta be honest with you. And you know this already, Brian. Everybody likes sticking it to you. You're the Sounders. You got a bulls eye on your back everywhere you go, and you should wear that bulls eye would pride. By the way, my friend Bryan Schmitzer with

us. He speaking of injuries and such. I'm trying to understand what's going on with knew Who because a couple of weeks ago we said he was sick and he hasn't played. So either, ay, this guy is like really really sick and there's something serious going on, or you're making that up to cover up for something else. What's going on with new Who? Man, be honest with us, tell us I'm not making us up. He is

sick. The doctors have run a battery of tests they're awaiting another test that they did on some other you know, viral bacterial infection, and they're gonna give us that information. They're gonna give us that information here very quickly. Not any didn't do anything bad. It's not COVID, it's not anything like that. I would be hopeful that I could see him maybe against Sporting Casey, but then the following week we think we should have it all figured out.

Okay, well, if he's not available now, you don't have Kellen Rowe available either, but at least it wasn't a season ending injury. So what do we look like at that spot now? Very young? Very young, well, very young in a sense that you know, I got a couple of young right backs Ethan Doublair and Reid Baker Whiting. Uh, you know, we had a kid on loan for the Open Cup game, Cody Baker. There's gonna be a young player included in the starting eleven on Sunday

versus Casey. Wow. Okay, well, we'll have more on that, hopefully with Jackson Felt's coming up on Sounders FC Weekly at six pm tonight. What is going on with Kellen Rowe. It's it's not the ACL. What's what's exactly happening with him? We thought it was the ACL because the way he hyper extended his knee. He does have some damage there, but nothing nothing that requires surgery pcl ACL. You know, just his knee is you know, NS brain knee. But it's a severe one and he'll be out

four to six weeks. He's gonna tell you that he's gonna be back in three to four. But it's a pretty significant injury. But the damage was not such to an extent that the doctors thought surgery was necessary. How about Christian rolled on still in concussion? Progu call? When will we see him? That dick? That one's probably out of all the questions you asked me about the injuries, that one's probably the most disturbing. Some of those lingering

concussions taking a long players bringing back. And then he happened and he had a set back after jumped on the pool, and your phone's breaking up there a little bit. We didn't get a word. You said, you still have us, by the way, can you hear us? Well, I still I still got you. Yeah, So everything everything you just said you said, it's the most disturbing. And then we missed all that. What

you said there if you can, and I'll make it quick. It's it's disturbing in the sense that we want to be careful with Christian ye and we're going to treat this as a long term UH plan to get him back healthy. We don't want to bring him back early and then he has another episode, another concussion, and that can linger again and it's another concussion. We want to get him right the first time before we put him back out on the field. Yeah, you know what, your phone broke up. Can

you repeat that again one more time? I'm kidding, Brian, you're the man. Great stuff. We appreciate all the all the updates on these guys. Go get him this weekend and we'll talk in a week. All right, Good luck with Daves. All right, we'll be listening.
