I was going to say, you know how there's always that one character, they're the nice sweet old grandpa, but their back story is like Black Ops, maybe Seal. I've committed so many war crimes. That's Arnalda, who's going to be here. Also, sorry, real quick, Lucia tried multiple times to tell Velora that she's like, I can see the future. Hey, hey, I'm trying to warn you about your future. And no matter how many times she's tried, she can't tell her and or warn her about the premonitions.

Well, actually, she was told that bad things would happen to Velora's house, to her family. So there's a lot going on. There's a lot of mystery there. And then at some point, too, Lucia discovered that Velora's father, Eric Avilea, is the master at arms at Ivar Brinn. So he will be at the school with us. That's right. And she's like, great. Cool. Great. So she's like, I'm not there. Not your mom. Not my mom. Your dad. My mom, the cool one. But my cool mate is coming with us.

Rudra Pallavi, Sir Pallavi, is coming with us as well as the executor. Orier. Orier. Orier is coming with us. Orier. Who's coming on Lucia's behalf. And the command of the king. The Vout Warriors of the Ministry. By the way, guys, that's huge. He's a head executor. That's a super high, like, militaristic position. And then they decided the king was like, I'm going to personally. That means you're going to get out of your station, your high station, and you are going to personally attend to her.

You're going to personally attend to Lucia. This child. At school. What the fuck? This is literally the back to school week of my siblings and we're going to school today. As your eyes widened in probably one of the most, probably the most comfiest bed you've ever slept in, in a room that is as big as your house, maybe even slightly bigger, you've awakened. And then like, I think she thinks she's back home and like goes to say something to her dad and then realizes that she's in this giant room. Yeah. And she kind of shakes it off and, you know, paddles over to her little knapsack. That's all she brought and just starts getting ready for the day. Kind of, kind of a little out of it. Because she's, she's woke up in the same place for her whole life.

Yeah. You're probably a triple sleeping because she's so used to like his snores or something like that. And then she was all alone in this. Oh no. That hit set a very close place. That's so true. Yeah. Yeah. So she's, she's hanging in there. She's hanging in there. So yes, this is all like very luxurious and this is like everything like a girl would want in the princess bedroom. But for Lucia, it's a little, a little, a little sad. But she puckers up.

She buckles up and she gets ready for the day and splashes water on her face and she's ready to, you know, be the retainer, the retainer that she must be. Absolutely. And then, as that, as that happens, you hear, you hear a brief, a little knock on the door. One second. I was just coming to check up on you and see that all of your things were in the proper places that they were supposed to be. Yep, I'm ready to go. And she just holds up her little backpack. I can take that for you. The breakfast is prepared in the halls for you. Okay. I mean, I don't mind carrying it, but sure, if you want. It would be my pleasure. Okay, you have to carry. Okay, cool. So she hands over her backpack. I think she's kind of learned that like these are these people's jobs.

So like, I think for the like longest time, she's like, no, I'll do it. I'll do it. It got to a point where like annoying them. Like, no, just let this is their job. Let them do their job. Please. It's my pleasure. Let me do my fucking job, kid. Put it on the airship. So she'll head over her bag and go, what's on the menu for this morning? Well, I wouldn't want to spoil a surprise for you. Oh, I hope there's warm toasty bread. No! It's a hand to her heart hand on the wall. Toasty bread.

Will I have my jam with? I'm going to take your bag. As she gets ready and gives her the good old like anime protag slap on the cheeks to kind of focus. Wake up. We are going to school and we've got to help the Laura and is Laura up? Where is she? I should probably be waiting at her bedside or something, right? I just stand like at attention at all times. If you wish, my lady's door is just down that way. I'll go do that. I'll go do that.

So yet again, the retainer stuff she's she's picking up as she goes along. So she'll I think she'll go to like open the door and then go, wait, am I supposed to guard her door or like, or am I supposed to be by her bed when she wakes up? I am sure that the position of retainer is something that you are going to learn as you inhabit it. Right. And he leaves. He says, I will put this stuff in the airship. He just smiles. He's just he's like, oh, this is good. Well, um, well, I'll see.

Maybe I don't think it's rude. Do I hear her struggling? She's literally talking to herself. We go to Valora. As you awake. Like someone else. You just kind of blink your eyes open. Here's the thing. If I stand guard of the door, no one can come in and attack her. And I think that's part of the job as the retainer is to protect her. That being said, you need someone.

And then quickly fix, not fully fix her, just put it up and like throw on throw on a jacket or something and then just and go to open the door and say, oh, good morning. Oh, good morning. And she's saluting you immediately in her little clerical uniform. I hope you had a very good sleep. I am here to protect you and retain whatever you need. Did you need something else? I I you get breakfast yet? No, no, but apparently there's no warm, toasty bread there today. Oh, I mean, I'm sure there is.

There is. I mean, there's almost always like some form of bread, usually toasted with breakfast, like if not like toast and like biscuits or English muffins or something. There's going to be bread. Don't slowly sliding down the wall. As you're saying, there will always be bread. All she's thinking of is Vexia, the bread woman back in the town that she came from. And the first thing to come up is Emma's Chance, which is a movie about a young woman who forms a bond with an abused show horse by completing her community service at a horse rescue ranch. I'm not a horse girl. Oh. You could be. It's your chance, Emma's Chance. The movie I was talking about is Gerald's Game. It's a game. What the fuck? It's on Netflix. What the fuck? It's like, what the fuck? What's funny is that I heard about this movie from my dad. Oh, Jesus.

And eventually you see your mother kind of like put down the knife and she just goes, hands under her hips, she goes, yes, good job. She says to herself, Good morning, mom. Turns to you. You see walking up to it, as you're walking up to it, you see that there is this dark gray creature currently excitedly running about on the top of the ship. He stands at the top of the ship, kind of like looking out, his eyes like cranking everywhere. Just exploring everything. He sees the approaching people and then just flies over. Phantom. Licks you. Oh, it's really exciting. And you hear, you hear from a, you hear from a floor, hi captain.

As you see, as you see a man, a Dorven, it says a short Dorven man, bald, bald, bald face has a short, has a stubble. You see he's at the top of the ramp that leads to the top of the ship. As he, he starts to get, he starts to get real low. And the next thing you know, he approaches you. He is, he's a short stout man, but clearly scarred on his like sort of bronzer skin that is sun, sort of like sun tanned skin, almost leathery. And he is wearing boots with fur.

Boots with the fur, whole club looking at her. And he just, he approaches and he, he can't, because Jenny already knows his character. He just goes, captain Apple bottom at your service. Wait, you're fucking lying. You're fucking lying. Shut the fuck up. As he hits the floor, as he hits the floor, as he hits the floor, the next thing you know is that he's right in front of you. As you began heading up on the slanted ramp, which gets a little bit, which might, for those of you who are maybe not inclined to heights, you might get a little more weary as you get towards the top, but you. I was so afraid of heights. Valora has her sky legs. She's walking straight and narrow up onto that ship. No problem. Lucia is clinging to the side. Slowly making her way. That's the fun thing, there is no side. Oh no, she's crawling on her hands and knees.

You get your sky legs eventually. Yeah, yeah, it's just really high and I promise I'll be fine, I'll be fine, I've got this. You can get strapped in if you need. Or maybe, here, why don't you go on Phantom? Okay, that's a good point. She crawls up on Phantom. And that way, she's clinging to Phantom. I'll straff her into the saddle too. If we fall, you can fly, right Phantom? Ice? Yeah. Okay. She's just kinda clinging to Phantom. She straps her legs in to it, to the saddle.

And Phantom walks up with aplomb. And eventually, you're on the top of the ship. You are presented with the full lay of everything. You see Francis begins to talk to his crew, shouting out given commands, as the ship is getting prepared to set off. As we're getting into the final stages of it, and eventually, Lucia, you're let off Phantom in the meantime, because you gotta walk around the ship.

Francis brings you down to the sort of engine, sort of like the, what he says is the heart of the ship. And as you walk into this sort of like, more modernly constructed room, you see that it's more like a steel, sort of riveted interior. You see that there is this sort of like huge sphere, sphere, embedded in the middle of this room. All the lay lines that course through the ship all connect to the sphere. And he just goes, says, that this right here is where the magic happens.

That's the air elemental, isn't it? Yes. What? There's something in there? There's something in there. What? There's something in there? He told everyone I got to tour before, yeah. Mm-hmm. You see, so we, so how all of this work is that a portal is opened up to the elemental plane. This- Whoa. Inside of the, says inside of the home of an air elemental, and all that nice stuff just comes out here. Wow, does the air, can she see the air elemental in there? It's very faint right now.

You do see like little faint whiffs. It's almost like smoke, but it's not, but you don't see anything like open yet, but give me a perception check. Yeah, I wanna see an air eminental. Air-min-ator. This magical tear through reality just open up within the portal. This is the most vicious visceral magic you've seen. Like, you see this reality just being altered right in front of you. As the portal to another plane opens up.

And then you see a vicious, just a vicious whipping of winds begin to beat against the inside of the sphere as you hear loud fangs and bangs against the glass. And that feeling that you've had before, Lucia, the feeling of something watching you, it comes to fruition as a pair of what you feel to be angry eyes begins to like, begins to take shape within the funnel of air in front of you.

And as the wind begins to intensify, you begin to see that a sort of greenish sort of energy begins to fill the ley lines. Like, like, like bloods running through veins. It begins to like course throughout most of the ley lines, going throughout most of the ship. As the sound intensifies, you can feel the shuttering of the ship as it begins to come alive. And you can feel it from the inside.

You begin to feel as if the huge ship, even though your feet are connected to like, like a metal platform, you begin to feel as if the large ship has beginning slowly lift off the ground. So you see Captain Applebottom just goes, all right, follow me, you two follow me. As he just goes, you wanna see this bad boy take off, right? Come on. Yeah. Thank you, Ailin. I salute to the air elemental who is not happy. I was gonna say, Lysia's a little concerned that it looks so angry.

It's, and he just goes, just don't worry about it, we're just bothering it for a little bit. All it does in its home place, it just shoots air everywhere. Right. Come on, come on, come on. As you begin to rush, as you begin to rush to the top, Lysia, you hear, you hear in your head, turn it off. Oh no. You who the wind speaks to turn it off. Oh. Ailin? I know you can hear me, Tempest. And she goes to say thank you to the woman, but is genuinely confused and she'll give like a kind of sheepishly sad look to the glass where Aelyn is and head over to where Valora is calling for her. There is a disappointment and then you feel it sort of retreating into like, okay, well, I'm gonna, it's just gonna go back to how it's been as you make your way back up towards Valora and Frances. Why am I playing LoFo? No! No! This is what I get, what I get, what I get.

You make your way up and you just go, you see Frances just goes, you're gonna miss, you're gonna miss the lift off, come on! Okay, yeah, coming. You rush up to the poopy deck of the ship. I don't know, I used to know the ship parts. The poopy deck? You rush to the deck of the ship heading off to the side and you just, as you head off to the sun and look over, you see that the ship has taken off a few bobs now.

It's a few inches, but as you see the as the lay lines reach out towards, reach out towards every little inch of the ship, the places where they need to go, the lift becomes stronger. The ship becomes more straight. It begins to ascend with more confidence as it goes faster and faster and faster as you are so going so impossibly high. How are the both, what are your characters reactions? Isn't this just awesome, Lucia? Oh, you're not afraid of heights, right?

Yes, but that's not, no, this is great! She's like really strong. She's like, how do I tell Velora that there's a creature imprisoned and being forced to work to get this thing to fly? What? She's so excited about the airship. Velora was so excited about the airship. She's really excited. If it's a consolation to you, a cool fact about this, JT's character in another game invented a new way to make airships that doesn't use elementals. And that's what Armin used in Blackguards to build the ship.

I was going to say, I really hope we didn't use an air elemental in Blackguards because that would make me sad. Aura would be friended. Aura would be like, this is my friend now. A member of the crew. One of the crew. We should have an air elemental pirate. That'd be so cool. That would be cool. An air Genasi pirate. Mm-hmm. Yeah, yeah, yeah. As you begin to make ways into the iron landscape, the iron landscape in front of you, the sun is nothing but an orange button in the sky, and it's for you, the both of you, to claim as it's time to go to Irobrin. Um, and almost as if purposely, the smell of nectar kind of hits your nose, as if beckoning you. You walk into the next room to see a plot, a small plot of land surrounded by a small like rail, a tree that has permeated throughout the room, its branches grown wide, apples hanged from, apples hang from the branches. A statue of Idun is embedded into the tree itself. Um, no worshipers here, but a beautiful site, all the same.

Um, a golden haired, a golden haired woman, uh, whose, you see her hands are reach, her hands are reaching up as if to pluck the apple, but the hand also speaks that she is about to, she is freely giving of it, as if offering. Um, there are multiple cushions that one can kneel on, uh, in front of the, um, in front of the statue, and you are the only one here. I think she kind of is just in awe.

This is the, and also sad that she's so far away from the other statues, and she's not even looking at the other statues. She's just, she's not even looking at the statues. So far away from all the other statues. I think she'll kneel in front, kneel on the pillow, and look up to the statue of the extended hand of Idun, and her hands instinctually go to clasp, place them on her heart, and they touch her new necklace that hang around her throat.

As she toys with the little apple on the necklace, she says quietly out loud to the tree, spend all of your time taking care and healing the gods. Who's healing you? Who's taking care of you? And as she says that, she'll kind of try to pluck some of the weeds that are around the tree. I'll just tidy it up a little bit, because she's not sure when the last time someone's taking care of this site. So she'll start to clean it up. As you start cleaning it up.
