Episode description

With folk and Americana as inspiration, James Lee Baker is quickly climbing the charts.

The Texas native is known for his guitar stylings, and poetic lyrics akin to some of his predecessors Gregory Alan Isakov, Bob Dylan, and Slaid Cleaves.

He dropped two albums in 14 months, with his "Candian River" album released March of this year. His single "Two Cagless Birds" reached #23 on the DJ Folk Charts.

He currently has a single "Let's Do Something Different For Christmas" for the holiday season.

We will talk to Baker about writing the single and his past, present, and future as a singer/songwriter.
