We should start there at the t Sports Complex on Saturday evening. They have a fundraiser for Emily's Hope and you could go and watch the fireworks. You can watch everything for free, but when you're there, they would love it if you'd make a
donation for Emily's Hope. Now here's the thing that's really neat. That's kind of a preview for the fireworks at the fourth of July, because it's the same company who does that who does our big fireworks display at the wh Lin Fairgrounds on the four July. It's a group called the Firework Store. Great great people, and they do this free event and they raise money for Emily's Hope each and every year. And this is also kind of a preview.
Not only do they do the fireworks show, but they do some of the fireworks that they'll be selling at the fireworks store as well, so they kind of show you, hey, here's something that's new. This is something we're adding again. It's at the Sports Complex and t it's coming up on Saturday night, and I hope you get a chance to get out there and join us for that. That'll be really really fun. Also this Saturday and this Sunday, Grand Falls Casino and Golf Resort has their big anniversary going on as
well, thirteenth anniversary, and they've got stuff happening on Saturday evening. They have stuff happening on Sunday, giving away a jeep on Sunday. And it's the thirteenth anniversary of Grand Falls Casino and Golf Resort. All right, so coming up next week. This
is what I was holding in my hand when I started talking here. June thirteenth, the Sieux Falls Vet Clinic is hosting a grill out event celebrating their forty fifth anniversary. This will be at the Seux Falls Vet Center, fifty twenty South Broadband Lane, Sweet one hundred Hamburgers, hot dogs, signs, all of that stuff for free. And this is open to the public. It's specifically there to say thank you to service members, veterans, National Guard,
Reserve families, but they said the interested public is also welcome. So if you want to stop by and just thank the veterans and thank the military members while you're there there, that would be a great thing to do. Again, it's next week. It's Thursday, June thirteenth, and again that is from noon till two at the Vet Center in Soux Falls. And then next Friday is Flag Day. It's the second sorry it's the fourteenth rather of
June seventeen seventy seven. That is the day the Second Continental Congress adopted the Stars and Stripes as our official national insignia. And this is a date now that is set aside to eye the flag and officially retire those flags that have become faded and worn. If you have one of those. I've actually got a couple of those. You can bring those to an event hosted by the
American Legion Post fifteen. They have a ceremony held on June fourteenth, which is Flag Day, at seven pm at Veterans Memorial Park, two twenty four West ninth Street. Scouting America from Sioux Falls Council will be there invited. They've been invited to join the ceremony. They're going to demonstrate the proper way to fold a flag, So you're going to be able to see how you properly fold a flag and how to properly dispose of a flag once it is
done. And again I would love it if you'd come out and join us for that. That is next week. It's next Friday, so one week from today, and it's at the Veterans Memorial Park in Sioux Falls. And if you do have flags that you want to bring to that event, if you want to replace them, next Friday would be a great day to do that as well. It's not part of my notes here, but I know
this is happening because I heard it on the radio. The folks at Maximum Promotions they've never done this, but they're doing a flag sale on Flag Day twenty five percent off any US flags any size. So if you're going, hey, I need to buy some flags anyway, maybe get those on Friday of next week and again twenty five percent off. That's a pretty big deal. So I'm gonna stop by. We've got a flagpole that seems like it's been so windy lately. We go through flags a lot quicker than I remember
