to everybody who went out to the election yesterday. That was awesome and it'd be great if we had a higher voter turnout, but it wasn't too bad yesterday. That's nice. Now over here tonight Wednesday night at the Where's this at Lucky's Bar downtown Sioux Falls. They've got an open mic comedy show at nine pm and then they have karaoke at ten pm. And let me rephrase that. The open mic comedy is at eight pm. I said nine, No, it's at eight pm and the karaoke is at ten pm. So
that's at Lucky's Bar, two twenty four South Phillips Avenue. And there's a couple of other fun comedy show is coming up. The annual community sopriety event called the Mocktails mixof Contest is coming up June twenty ninth. Now, you have a couple of weeks yet to get your drink recipe submitted. I posted it yesterday
on our Facebook page Facebook dot com slash Sunny Radio. You can win five hundred dollars, yeah, five hundred, and then second place is three hundred, third place is one hundred and fifty. All of that just for submitting a drink recipe with no booze in it. And then if you get to be selected, they select ten people, and there's room for more right now, So submit your recipes, submit away, and then you get to compete to win that money on the twenty ninth of June. Who couldn't use an
extra five hundred bucks right now? I mean, that would be nice. So I'm gonna give you a quick little secret here. And I posted this on my Facebook page yesterday too, so it's not really a secret, but a couple of years ago, go one of the contestants admitted afterwards because I said, no, how long have you been making this drink? And he kind of laughed. He goes, I googled it a couple of weeks ago.
He's like, I seriously, I looked up and this was for the Christmas contest, because I looked up non alcoholic Christmas drinks and I found one, and then I added this, and I did that, and then I named it this. So he made it his own. You could do the same exact thing. Just go on the internet right now, on Google or whatever browser you choose to use for searching for things. But then just search
for non alcohol drink recipes. Find one that you think looks good, get get the ingredients, and then test it and try it and see if you like it. Maybe add a little something to it, you know, a little grenadine syrup or something, and then submit that. Oh yeah, come up with a name too, because that's you get points for that. Like the best name helps a lot. And then the night of the contest, if you have like the best presentation, so have some fun glasses, you
get points for that. So you could actually win this thing, even with a drink that's not as good. If you've got a name that's good and a presentation. That's good. So anyway, go on see if you can maybe be a winner this year Mocktails mix Off. I have known the winners like almost every year because I'm always telling people to do this.
