First of all, this weekend January eleventh, there's a fun comedy show and this is a really good one because it's a bunch of funny comics, isn't it, Sarah.
Yes, we have ten local comics competing for the funniest Comedian of the year in two Falls. So this is all of the people who won the monthly competitions all the whole year long. Everybody won their funniest person of that month, and now they all compete in one big show at the end of the year for the funniest comedian of all of twenty twenty four.
If you get a chance, get out and join for this, because if you come out and you buy a ticket and you come and watch us, you're going to see so many funny comics, and every one of them is going to bring their a game because they all want to be the winner for the entire year, right, that's right.
And Jerry Irbye was the winner last year, so he'll be doing a feature set and then crowning the new comedian of the Year.
And Jerry is very funny, but so many of the comics. Sarah is very funny, all the people around the show very very very funny. If I would like to get a ticket for the event on January eleventh, where do I find that ticket?

You can get them at the door, and actually all of the people on the competition have physical tickets, so you can buy them from your favorite comic that you're coming to support, and the winner will be chosen by audience applause. So we all want to bring our friends.
Absolutely get out and have some fun again. That is on the eleventh, which is coming up this Saturday, and it's at Icon Event Hall and Lounge, and you do a show there every Tuesday. You do an open mic which is so much fun, and that's on the comedy calendar here as well. And I see January seventeenth. You got a fun show happening in Brandon. Let's talk about that one as well.
Yes we have Okay, So on that show, our headliner Tony Tubes and he is from Aberdeen, South Dakota. He is also one of the Larry Brinkman Award winners in Two Falls for twenty twenty four, so he'll be competing at that show on the eleventh as well. But he's going to come down to Brandon at the Double D Saloon and headline a show and Alicia Rain and myself will both be opening for him. So that's going to be a really fun show and it is free at the Double D on the seventeenth.
It is going to be a great show. And the Double D has a really nice stage area, and I encourage people if you want to come out and be a part of the comedy show, get there early and get seats right over by the stage because there are other regular folks that have just come pouring in as well. It's a Friday night, it's a Double D, they're always busy, so come out early. Have your dinner there on the seventeenth as well, so come out, get a couple of drinks,
have dinner and enjoy some very very funny comics. And I've heard good things. I've not seen Tony Tubes yet, so I'm excited to see him. I've heard really good things and it sounds like he's a funny, funny dude.
He is hilarious. We were all just laughing like crazy when he came down and competed for the Larry Brinkman Award and he won his first I'm competing for it, so it was like, Holy coow, this guy's hilarious. So I thought it'd be a really fun show to bring him down to do that show for Aberdeen. So it's going to be a fun show and you got to check him out again.
It's a free show and that is in Brandon at the Double D Saloon on Main Street and Brandon. It is January the seventeenth against Sarah Manson, Alisha Raine and Tony Tubes. Let's talk about some of the other fun things that are coming up. You've got a lot of shows coming up.
I know, there's so much comedy to see. It's so exciting that people have so many opportunities to see so many great comics. Now this benefit show that's going to be on the eighteenth. Is that Good Natured That is downtown on eighth Street. It's actually in the old SMOs if you know where that is. And it is Two Falls first non alcoholic bar.
It's a really cool place and wonderful, wonderful people and they had to shut down for a short while in December, which was sad, and they got all the stuff squared away and they're reopen and things are good. So the timing on this fundraiser couldn't be better. It'd be a great time to come out and be a part of this and get a chance to be a part of the comedy scene and be a part of the non alcohol bar scene, which is a new scene in Sue Falls.
But it's really cool. They've been doing a lot of fun stuff there, haven't they.
Oh my gosh. They have so many events and this particular event is a fundraiser for them to help them with their fees when they work closed down, and this is to help them get their pizza back, which is one of the coolest things about there is of course going to enjoy some non alcoholic beverages and have some pizza.
So this is called the Zab Benefit to bring back the pizza and there's going to be twelve local comics on that and it is a free benefit to attend, but donations, of course, we're hopeful for donations.
If you would like to donate, you can do that the night of the event and get down check it out again. That's happening at a place called Good Natured on eighth Street in Sioux Falls, and that's happening on the eighteenth of January.
