Something you should go time out for something you should know. Brought to you by the all new Triple seven Casino, now open from seven am till two am, seven days a week at thirty six oh one South Minnesota Avenue, just off I two twenty nine in the former Sioux Falls BFW building. And a big thank you everybody who's been stopping in and telling them, hey,

I've heard you guys on the radio. I love it when you do that, by the way, because that way it lets people know that you're listening and you hear us and you're actually going to do the things that we tell you to do. That's just really cool. So again, thank you. Chatting with him yesterday, they said, oh, we've had a lot of people say they have heard us on the radio. So that's cool, very cool. All right, what else are we going to hear on the radio?

How about this? Only a couple things I'm going to talk about because I've got a guest here in a second, a Union Gospel mission. They're inviting you to their ice cream social tomorrow if you get a chance, get on out tomorrow from two pm till three pm two twenty North Weber, Downtown Sioux Falls, celebrating one hundred and twenty four years at Union Gospel Mission in Sioux Falls. That is such a cool thing, and that is tomorrow,

and I almost forgot today. This afternoon, from five thirty until six thirty, Abbot House is inviting you to join them at Embrace Church to learn more about an amazing opportunity. My beautiful bride, Heidi, and I actually stop by one of the homes that they've purchased here in Sioux Falls. It is going to be so cool. We were going through this home and it's bigger than any home I've ever lived in in my life, and it's going to be a home that somebody is going to get to live in for free.

So they're looking for a couple to live in this home for free, and they're going to pay you to live there, and they're going to give you two company cars, and they're going to give you a vacation and all of that. And you're going to have six kids foster children in this home that you care for. So if this is something that might be interesting to you, this afternoon again five thirty till six thirty, you could go and learn all about it at Embrace Church. And now if you have any questions,

call me here at the station. I'll gladly tell you everything I know, which is not going to take long because I don't know a whole lot, but I do know enough to at least get you in touch with the right people about this really cool opportunity. And I also know enough to wrap things up right now because I've got a young lady sitting on hold over here. We're going to talk right now with a comic who's going to be in Sue Falls tomorrow. It is a comedy call. Excited to visit right now with

k C. Schornaima. She is a writer with Saturday Night Live and she's a stand up comic and she is going to be in Sue Falls, South Dakota tomorrow night. It is Friday. It is March fifteenth. She'll be at the Icon Events Hall and Lounge. Now, Casey, have you been to Sue Falls before? No, I haven't excited to me there. Well, you've got some really great local comics that are going to be helping out Alisia Rayne, Sarah Manson, Zach Dresh. I've worked with all of them,

wonderful people. And Casey, when you get on stage, what kind of stuff do you typically talk about. That'd say, it's like a lot of life, just personal life stuff and just experiences. And you've lived a pretty fun life. You get a chance to do some really fun stuff, don't you. Yeah I do. Yeah, yeah, it's a very different type, i'd say, but yeah, it's been pretty fun. Now,

how long have you been doing stand up comedy? Takes here? How different is stand up comedy when you're in front of an audience doing that different than writing? Because you're a writer with SNL? Is it a lot different when you're performing in front of a live audience and it's not just you know, saying hey, you go out and say this. Oh yeah, yeah, I mean, for sure, it's very I think life is just so much more fun feel like and energy in the crowd. And I think, I

think in general, the crowd life more than there's other people around. And I think like movies are funnier when you're in a theater kind of thing. So oh yeah, yeah absolutely yeah. So what kind of advice do you give to a young person who wants to be a comic? Just you know, you just got to keep going up and going out doing as many of my accent shows as you can. So you do stand up comedy and you're a writer for SNL which came first? Were you a writer first or were

you doing stand up comedy first? Oh? No, Yeah, I went from stand up to writing and I'm doing both now. Nice and yeah, I'd never written before. So what did you do for a job in addition to stand up comedy before being a writer? At Saturday Night Live? I heard teachers for like four years? Very cool? Yeah, so I I was a teacher. I thought middle school that is awesome. So you got to stand in front of a classroom and that was your audience every single day.

Yeah, yeah, I know. Yeah, it's very preparators and I know several stand up comics that have spent time as teachers, So I think there must be some sort of connection there where, you know, again, if you've got the if you're brave enough to get up in front of a classroom full of kids, you're probably brave enough to get up and tell a

joker too. Yeah. Yeah, it's definitely have to think though. I think it's like whatever it is that makes you not be afraid, as I president, and both teachers and stand up well, I appreciate you taking some time to chat with me. And again tomorrow night you'll be at the Icon Lounge and two Falls and again, this is gonna be a great show. In addition to Casey, who we're talking to right now, and she's a

writer with SNL, so she's flying into town. But we've got three very funny local comics as well, And like I said, I know all of them have worked with them numerous times, so you're good hands here, Casey. Yes, Yeah, I'm so excited. Thank you so much for having me. Absolutely, it's gonna be a whole lot of fun. If you

don't have tickets yet, get tickets right away. I'm going to throw a link to make it easy to find tickets, and you can do that at Facebook dot com slash Sue Fallscomedy. Again, Facebook dot com slash Sue Falls Comedy, and we've got some tickets to give away, and you can register for a pair of tickets at that same location Facebook dot com slash Suit Falls
