Bonus ho'er excited to visit right now with Bryson Flear Bryson, thanks for joining me, sir, thank you for having me. And Bryson is a stand up comic and this is the part that I think is really cool. You just turned twenty. Yes, when did you start comedy? I started comedy four months ago. Actually, so you were nineteen years old and you decided I'm gonna
go tell jokes. And I don't think I was there your first night, but I was there for several of the nights there. How this all like obsession with comedy started was that I do plumbing work. That's my day job, and I like to listen to something while I'm working. Yeah, and I came across some comedy and I decided, Hey, why don't I just perform stand up comedy? There you go, this will be fun and you
do a really good job. Thank you. And again I love the fact that not only when this kid is nineteen years old does he get on stage tell jokes with a whole bunch of adults, a bunch of you know people. I'm over double your age. So but you go in and uh and you have fun doing that. But the other thing that's really cool is you put together an event that's gonna happen tomorrow, this benefit, this comedy benefit for feeding South Dakota. How did this whole thing come together? So this
thing all started. I wanted to do just kind of a new breath of fresh air kind of comedy event, and I approached a few different people about having a comedy event at their venue, and eventually somebody got back to me, and that was the owners of South Dakota Aerial and Arts, and we just kind of planned this team up where we'll do a comedy event and then we'll also feature some aerial acts in the show. And the thing's really cool. South Dakota Aerial and Arts. I've seen them perform. I saw them
at Health Connect and that was not even at their venue. That was at a different venue, and they brought like a pole and they were doing this really cool stuff there and I can't even wait to see when they're in their own facility with their own equipment. It was amazing watching the little road show.
So this is going to be really yeah. I mean I saw them on the parate of lights and even they had some sort of like beam that they were doing tricks on, and I thought that was awesome, like doing tricks like in the back of a truck and a praise while it's going down the road. Yeah, well it's going down the road. So the event
is coming up tomorrow. It's a fundraiser for Feeding South Dakota. It's at a place called South Dakota Ariel and Arts and that is we'll explain where that is here in a little bit, so you make sure you can get to the right place. Bryson, you were going to be hosting the show. Yes, I'm gonna be hosting, and then yeah, you will be in the show. I get to be there. I'm excited for that. And then Alicia rain is also we just get done talking to Alicia a moment ago.
She's got an event tonight and then she's got another one tomorrow night. So she's a busy young lady. Yeah. And in addition to the comedy, we also have South Dakota Ariel and Arts performing and we've got Travis Nye the Magic Travis Nye, the magic Guy. I'm excited for him, I am. Yeah, he does a really good job. Yeah, I'm really excited. I really love a good magic show and so I'm really glad to have that be a part of the show as well as the aerial and the
comedy. And yeah, we even have a oh yes, well, I think it's going to be a lot of fun. It is coming up tomorrow night, Friday, December first comedy benefit Feeding South Dakota is who gets the money. It's it's pretty afordable. How much to go to this ten dollars at the door, cash or check, nice so or gold bars if you'd like, right so or silver. There you go. It's it's coming up
tomorrow. Feeding South Dakota is where all the money is going. And we would love to have a nice audience come out and enjoy this really cool event that you've put together. I think it's really neat that you did this. You put this together when you were nineteen. Yes, you're twenty now, right, But I mean, you were just a kid back then, so I'm still a kid. Really yeah, you kind of are. But again, Bryce, and I'm excited to work with you. Thanks for coming in.
I appreciate you. Thanks for having me again. It's tomorrow night. It is at a place called South Dakota Ariel and Arts twelve hundred East third Street in Sioux Falls. It used to be a school. It's in the gymnasium, like half of the gymnasium of a school. It's right off Cliff Avenue over kind of by Franklin Food Market. And I'm going to make it
really simple. I'm going to share this event. We've got it at Facebook dot com slash Sue Falls Comedy. But I'm also going to share this at Facebook dot com slash Sunny Radio and Facebook dot com slash Sue Falls News at Weird Gift of the Day dot com. West Sue Studios and Sonny ninety three point three. It was on this day, November thirtieth, eighteen forty four, we say happy birthday to Dexter Nap was an early resident of Sioux Falls, and his time here is quite an interesting story. He was one of the first full time real estate agents in the area, and being a real estate agent in a booming Midwest town seems to have allowed mister Napp the financial security to partake in quite a few hobbies.
His favorite hobby was fishing, and he did lots of fishing. But one day Dexter decided he wasn't getting enough bites. And as any good fisherman will tell you, not getting enough bites has nothing to do with a fisherman.
Mister Napp came to the conclusion that he wasn't getting enough bites because there just weren't enough fish, so without permission or even consultation with any city, county, or territory or state officials, Dexter began writing letters to the US Commissioner of Fish and Fisheries requesting fish to stock the local streams, rivers, lakes, and ponds. And guess what he got them. Mister Napp supplied Wall Lake with over three million black bass, croppy and other game fish,
and split Rock Creek received many specimen of speckled and rainbow trout. Dexter Napp is responsible for bringing in quite literally tons of fish to the Sioux Falls area their waterways in the Dakota Territory.
