I have two fantastic shows coming up next week at Lucky's Bar in Club two two four, which is in the basement. On Monday, I have Dan Alton. He's coming to town. He's got so much energy. It's going to be such a fun show. Show Staes at eight and then afterwards we're going to be having an open mic.
So if you're a musician or comedian want to give your best five minutes, definitely come on down. The sign up for that is at nine thirty, so the show is going to go from eight to ten, and then right afterwards we're gonna have an open mic. So that'll be so fun. Dan Alton, like I said, is hilarious. He really is very very and he's a nice guy too, super nice dude and very very funny.
So that's coming up Monday night. And again the cool thing is if somebody wants to come and be a part of the open mic, they could perform Monday night as well. And that's every Monday night, isn't it Every Monday Night at Lucky's Bar. Normally the sign up is at seven thirty in the mic starts at eight, but this is a very special day, so we're still having the open mic. I have a local favorite, Preston Williams, He's going to be performing. He's originally from Watertown and he has all these kind of hometown stories and is just a hilarious comedian. And then pr Risk He's won the Larry Brinkton Award. Oh so also a hilarious comedian. And I will be on the show.

And then something else we're going to talk about is crab legs, because we were saying we're planning to do that at the end of September, but now we're thinking
maybe that'll like spill into October even right now. Yeah, I've heard a couple different things, but it sounds like we want to go through the end of October. That's cool. It is while supplies last. Oh yeah, So first things First, Friday, October twenty, we have Larry the Cable Guy. He has two shows. Yeah, there is an early show in a late show six pm, nine pm. Nice. Make sure which one you're buying is tickets you want that four? Yeah, But we have some tickets available out at
him he is selling fast as well as Howie. Howie Mandel is the very next night, Saturday, October twenty first, And these are both household names. These are people that you've seen on television shows. You've seen them both in movies. I think they've both done animates. I know they have both one animated voices for Howe, I mean just huge, huge things. So again, an amazing opportunity to come out and see two of the funniest people on the planet, and it's back to back. Either one of those would
have made a really great comedy weekend, but you've got them both. Yeah, we have like a monster weekend ahead. And what we're trying to do as a casino was create two comedy weekends per year. Yeah, so we want one in April and one in October because there's six months apart, so it's even every six months you're getting back to back comedy out at Grand Falls. It's what we want to do. It's what we're trying to start doing. I love it. I think it's fantastic and I've been to almost every
comedy weekend you guys have had. There was one that landed when we were out of the country and I didn't get to go. I'm so bummed out. I'm like, can you guys just move that to a different weekend. But I've been to all of the other ones and they're always so good, and you've brought in some top tier talent and again doing it again this year October twentieth and twenty first Larry the Cable Guy, Howie Mandel. You couldn't
ask for two bigger names as those are both phenomenal people. If people would like ticket, say, can still get those the same way we just talked about for David Lee Murphy, exact same way. That is November twenty five. That is gonna be Thanksgiving weekends. Okay, so you'll have Thanksgiving, You'll have a day off and then head out to Tommy to
Carlo a Grand Falls. It's gonna be a rock weekend that week. Celebrating my birthday with me. That's my November twenty five, you said, yes, it is a happy birthday earlier ago. And I'm a huge fan of the band Boston. And when you hear Tommy to Carlo, you get to hear some amazing music from him. But but it's just a really cool story how he became the frontman for Boston. Oh yeah, he has a whole backstory. I think I actually have a posted on his bio on the website.
Yeah, it's phenomenal. It is one of these stories that when you read this, it's almost like it sounds like a movie, like it doesn't happen in real life. But it's his real life. It's what really happened. And this guy got tapped to be the lead singer of Boston. And again, he was a huge Boston fan first and all. Of a sudden he got to be the voice of Boston. He got really excited over that opportunity. But not only that, he started a band with his son,
and that's the concert that we're having. Nice, So he's going to be playing with his son on stage on Thanksgiving weekend. No. Five. I'm excited again. That's going to be here before you know it. And then we got to mention Kevin Bacon and his brother, the Bacon brothers are going to be in town. Yes, Michael and Kevin Bacon. They will be in town on Veterans Day weekend, which is November eleventh, all right, so that one's before Tommy to Carlos. See, in my mind I had
those backwards. I'm sorry I did that out of order. Oh it's so so Kevin Bacon and what is his brother's name, Michael, Michael. I feel horrible and I didn't know that. So the Bacon brothers are going to be here. Amazing show. We'll talk more about that in the coming weeks. Walker, thanks for coming in man, of course always again. It was on this day, September twenty second, nineteen seventy five, Senator Bob Dole visits Soux Falls on the campaign trail as the Republican candidate for Vice president. He and President Gerald Ford would eventually lose to Jimmy Carter. Ford was seeking to get out of the shadow of the Nixon Watergate scandal, and Dole was looking to expand his influence beyond
the Senate Chamber. Although he lost in his bid to become Vice president, Dole would become a landmark in Washington, DC, serving the House for eight years before putting together a nearly thirty year career in the Senate. Dole's political career ended with another defeat, this time as the Republican presidential candidate in nineteen ninety six, losing to President Bill Clinton.
