Excited to visit right now with Josh Brewer with Lifelight. It's coming up this Sunday in Sue Falls. Josh, how are you, sir? I'm doing great, man. We're pumped and we're excited.
It's gonna be here before you know it. Now, when did you start working on this? I bet it's a while ago, wasn't it. Oh man, it's been about eighteen months in the making. So we're excited that it's finally here and there for folks that are not familiar. Lifelight is something that started a long time ago and it went in different directions, and now I'm excited to say it's in downtown Sioux Falls, and we're excited to have it back in Sioux Falls and back in the area. And again,
is this the first year it's back in Sue Falls? Am I saying that right. Yes, this is the first year that we've done in the event and Supfalls since twenty seventeen, and we've never done an event in downtown Supfalls. So it's back, and it's back in a way that has never been before. And it's exciting to have this event period, but we're really excited
to have it where you're having it now. The facility where you're going to have this event, let's talk first of all about where it is, and we're gonna talk about when it is, and then we're going to tell folks how they can get involved. But where is the event going to be and when is the event going to be. So it's taken over about three different areas of downtown Soupfalls, but the main stage of viewing and the vendors of
food trucks all that will be at eight and Railroad. But then it opens up to a bigger field to the south kind of under the vibox, under the bridges there where there'll be inflatables and bounce the houses all that for all kinds of kids activities. And then if you jump over across the river over to Saywick Park, there will be a delay screen and the video wall over there for for extra seeding and uh and and the overflow area over there.
And again, I think you guys might be the first ones to ever do an event quite like that, because there have been people that do events downtown, but not all of downtown like that. Yes, there, I can honestly say there's probably not been an event or a festival like of this size in downtown suit Falls. But we've been working very hard, and our team has been working diligently with the city, and we're excited to get to see
this thing come to be. Now we're going to talk about what time it starts, but let's talk about who will be performing this Sunday at Lifeline. Oh Man, Well, that's that's another exciting thing. You know. The city is like, this is crazy, that's awesome. We're excited this for this to be back in sou Falls and uh and so they're like, but how many people are coming to this thing? And so there's a little bit of excitement behind that. And then we went and met with our production team.
They're like, that's great as downtown all these people are gonna show up, What band is coming in? What bands will be there? And we said, well, the headlining band will be skill It. Well, then that caused some excitement and some apprehension from our production team because Skillet is a pretty massive rock band and there's never been a band of that size in the
downtown area. So we have Skillet coming, we have Germany Camp coming, Rhett Walker, Colton Dixon who is a finalists our America's Got A finalists on American Idol, and then we have let's see who else all of these coming. We have Terry In's coming, and we also have a BMX team professional BMX team as well as a basketball trick team that was on America's Got Talent. So there's something out there for everybody. It's going to be an amazing
event. Again, it is coming up this Sunday. What time does everything kick off? And where should people park if they want to come and be a part of this. Well, it starts at noon and the children's area goes from noon until seven, but the actual mainstage of the concert, the live music, that'll be going from noon until eleven PM. And there's parking lots all over downtown. And if you go on to our website or you're going to Lifelight social media, we have videos We have maps that we produced
where people can park and it's all free parking on Sunday. There's tens of thousands of parking spaces in downtown and so we're just excited and they'll be We'll be keeping that up to date so people will know where there's open parking, and we're just encouraging people to get there. Ride your bike, it's riding the bike trails. Do it ever you can to get there, but also get there early so you can make sure you have the best viewing possible.
I love that. And again, it's this Sunday downtown Sioux Falls. How much does it cost to go to this event? Well, it's completely free. You know, we want it to be free for the community. It's a terrible business model. We're not making any money off of this thing, so we don't suggest it. However, we're happy to provide this for free because we have so many great sponsors who are investing in this thing and who are really investing in the community. It's True Falls. I love that.
