Collective. So we're going to chat about I'll just give you the headlines now. We're going to come back and talk about these here in a bit. So the Wittier Neighborhood night markets that's coming up in August and September. And we're gonna talk about the tool lending library that is open. Now. We'll tell you a little more about that here in a bit. The Sioux Falls Urban Food Forum Wednesday and Thursday, July twenty sixth and twenty seventh at the
Union Gospel Mission. Citizen Taco, Bring an Idea, Get a Taco Free. Open to the public every Wednesday at the Union Gospel Mission and again you can go get a free taco just by bringing an idea and a barbecue party hosted by the CRC Sunday, July thirtieth, and again we're gonna talk about all of this stuff coming up in a little bit. Yesterday I had a chance to visit with one of the gentlemen in charge of the CRC again,
that's the Community Revitalization Collective. One of the projects they're doing is like helping people switch their grass over to like native grasses. And I saw him talking about this online and I said, hey, we have like three acres of land where our radio tower sits. Let's go check that out. So we went out there and chatted for like an hour yesterday. So it was awesome, and I got all these flyers and like I said, gonna have them
on the program today. Didn't work out, but I said, you know what, I'll chat about this stuff for sure, and then we're gonna schedule so we're gonna have some interviews coming up in just a short while to talk about them, all these different events that they're putting on. But like I said, I'm going to talk about them all coming up in just a moment. Also, we've got this day in Sioux Falls history. I met yesterday with Jordan Deffenbaugh and he is with an organization called the CRC Community Revitalization Collective, and I got five different flyers from him on different things that are happening in the community through this group alone, and I put them in order, so I'm going to go through these in order, so
we're gonna start right year. You can become a member at the Sioux Falls Tool Lending Library. I love this. It's the Sioux Falls Tool Library. Their website Sioux Falls tool Library dot org. You can get a membership for fifty dollars a year. You can be a founding member where you pay just a one time five hundred dollars fee, and then you can be a member forever and ever. Anyway, if you've got tools that you don't need, you can drop them off on Saturdays from ten thirty till twelve thirty and then what they do is they put these tools to use helping people get projects done. Maybe the thing that's stopping them is not having the tools. I think this is really cool. We've got a bunch of projects we're doing at our house right now, and I already talked to Hide about it.
When we're done with these projects, I'm bringing a whole truckload of stuff down there, So I think that is neat. But I mentioned that first because that's open now. They're doing that now tomorrow. Citizen Taco, Bring an idea, get a taco. This is free and open into the public noon till one every Wednesday at the Union Gospel Mission Thrift Store seven h five East eighth Street in Sux Falls. And again you go down and basically give them
an idea and they'll hand you a taco. I think that's really kind of a cool idea. So I'm gonna have to come up with an idea and go see them tomorrow. Also, the next thing on the list here, CRC presents Sioux Falls Urban Food Forum Wednesday and Thursday, July twenty sixth and twenty seventh at the Union Gospel Mission, seven h five East eighth Street.
Session start at nine am and two pm each day and fostering collaboration among local producers, restaurant owners, gardeners, policymakers, and individuals passionate about food security. My CRC dot org is the website for the information on that. I think you can find a lot of this stuff on there. Next one is the CRC Barbecue and that one is coming up later in the month. It's July thirtieth. That's a Sunday, and it's in the back of the area
there at nine twenty one East Street. Free food and music and community. And again they want people to come and join The CRC established community connections in the Whittier neighborhood and it's hosted by the CRC and it's a barbecue, So
that's coming up on the thirtieth of July. And then the final thing that I have today, and we're gonna be talking with him about these events too, but he wasn't available today, so we're going to do it this way today and then we're going to get some interviews to chat about all of these things. sixteenth is the other one. It's five to eight pm Bawl Times Faith Lutheran Church, six o one Northcliff Avenue, a community showcase of food, crafts and more. Vending spots are open to all residents of Whittier Neighborhood at no cost if they'd like to showcase and sell their creative talents, whether it be food or crafts or any other unique offerings. How cool is that all of this stuff sounds like a lot of fun if you'd like to learn more about

Fund Page and Sunny ninety three point three. It was on this day, July eleventh, nineteen oh one, that prominent Sioux Falls lawyer Alfred B. Kittridge takes office as the United States Senator from South Dakota. Kittridge is appointed by the governor to fill the vacancy left by the death of James H. Kyle, finishing that term in nineteen oh three. He was elected in his
own right in nineteen oh three to a second term. During that second term, Kittridge was seeded as the chairman of the Senate Committee of Anti Oceananic Canals. Perhaps not a jaw dropping appointment in today's world, but at the time it was a top political office. In fact, Kittridge was instrumental in the process of selecting Panama over Nicaragua as the location of the Panama Canal. How weird would it be to have the Panama Canal and nick Oh, they would
have probably called it anyway. It connects the Atlantic and the Pacific. Kittridge, by the way, lost his bid for reelection in nineteen oh eight and retired to Soux Falls to practice law for a few years before passing away in nineteen eleven due to health complications. He had been born and raised in New Hampshire and educated at Yale and Yale Law School, before almost randomly packing up
and moving to Soux Falls in eighteen eighty five. He loved Sioux Falls and the Dakota Territory, and they loved him right back, electing him to the first State Senate in eighteen eighty nine and then to the US Senate a few years later. Here's your market being Minute four Tuesday, July eleventh, brought to you by Genesis gooldirea dot com equity markets treadwater Monday while traders prepared for this week's main event, the CPI report. It's set to be released Wednesday, and the data is expected to be mixed, with monthly gains accelerating and year over year comparisons decelerating from the previous month's data. However, the takeaway will likely be hawkish, with core CPI still hot at five percent year over year or
hotter. Regardless, the Fed will unlikely sway from their intention to hike rates later this month and put additional pressure on the economy. The summer stock market melt up looks set to continue despite Monday's tepid trading and the risk of hot CPI data. The SMP five hundred continues consolidating above the forty three hundred level in preparation for another higher move. The next significant resistance target is forty six
hundred, which may be reached soon. A move above that will depend on the earning season, and it does not look like a good one now.
