Episode description

Autumn has arrived, the nights are drawing in and naturally our thoughts return once more to Doctor Who. At the same time, it's the end of the cricket season and the start of football and this time we're looking at Doctor Who's two great sporting encounters, starting with 5th Doctor's cricketing exploits in Black Orchid, followed by the 11th Doctor's footballing feats in The Lodger. And who better to help us with that than Huw Turbervill. Huw is a sports journalist and the Managing Editor of The Cricketer Magazine, as well as an occasional visitor to Gallifrey Base's Missing Episodes Megathread, where we met him. And so we've turned our podcast for one episode only into Something Huw, including a pastiche on Black Orchid, analyses of all of the Doctor's encounters with both games and Huw's encounters with some of our heroes in his journalistic career. Please like or share our podcast with people who will enjoy it, so we can build our listener base high for happiness. You can rate us directly on Apple Podcasts or Podchaser.com The opening music is Three Guitars Mood 2 and, yes, that is Richard playing the ukulele and kazoo on possibly the worst ever version of the Doctor Who theme tune at the end.
