When Lionel does a "little" downsizing at the plant, he throws Lex under the bus, but Lex has a plan to balance the scales. The ripple effect of this has Chloe preparing to leave Smallville, while hoping she and Clark's night at the dance will be perfect. Also, the writers try to make Whitney an actual character before sending him off to join the Marines. Lana is clearly both sad AND relieved. As a storm blows into town, the stormchasers in the audience better look to the sky. Is it a bird? Bits of an entire barn? A trio of twisters? It's Somebody Save Us!
