Having shared about the coming glory, Isaiah begins to retrace his steps and talk about those that will inherit the glory to come and those that will not Praise be to those that tremble at His Word!
Taking Chapter 65 of Isaiah and considering it to be like three streams feeding into a final body of water. They have reached their final spot and in this case the passage will show us a point at which God's plan has been finalized.
We have left the 4th Anointed Song, and the prayers of Mercy as Isaiah prayer for God's sinful people. Now we have a picture of God's chosen next to God's enemies and we will see over the next two weeks the tremendous climax with answers for both.

Just like in the third Servant Song, this third Anointed Song is a testimony to His personal commitment and because of it we will see what will be achieved.
Jesus is prophesied about all through the Old Testament but here his mission is announced and in Luke action takes place.
The coastlands shall hope for me. The ships of Tarshish first, to bring your children from afar. The Lord will be your everlasting light. They shall call you the City of the Lord, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
The Lord saw it, and it displeased Him. A redeemer will come to Zion. Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has come upon you! Lift up your eyes, they all gather, they come to you! Your sons come from afar, your daughters shall be carried on your hip. And I will beautify my beautiful house.
Isaiah continues to point out how far away God's people are from him and we start to see the work of God as He leads His people into confession of sins and forgiveness.
The next two Sundays we will see God's people exposed in their worship of God and some of them will confess. Chapter 58 of Isaiah shows us their vain suffering.
"Build up, build up, prepare the way, remove every obstruction from my people's way." Thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with hi who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite. Peace, peace to the far and to the near," says the Lord, "and I will heal him. There is no peace, " says my God, "for the wicked."
They are shepherds with no understanding. They have all turned to their own way, each to his own gain. Among the smooth stones of the valley, when you cry out let your idols deliver you! He who takes refuge in me shall inherit my holy mountain!
Moving into the final section of Isaiah, we will see God's plan for His coming Conquerer.
The greatest event for all mankind has taken place. The words from the past are made clear. The Messiah must first be the sacrifice then the King!
Rejoice greatly O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, a foal of a donkey.
O afflicted one! All your children shall be taught by the Lord and great shall be the peace. Come everyone who thirsts, come to the waters! Seek the Lord, he may be found. Go out in joy, be led forth in peace, and break forth into singing!
